Random Johnny and Marcus Headcanons for the Human AU
Marcus and Johnny would cook together a lot when Johnny was young, mainly with Johnny sitting on the counter holding the recipe book for his dad to read.
Marcus’s nicknames for Johnny are John-song and John-bird, which come from his wife’s nickname for their son, songbird.
When Johnny gets night terrors, he will go sit with his dad til he’s calmed down enough to go back to sleep. He typically ends up falling asleep where-ever that turned out to be and Marcus still carries him to bed.
Marcus still carries an inhaler in case Johnny has a really bad panic attack again, even though the last one that severe was years ago. He also brings noise cancelling headphones everywhere in case Johnny gets sensory overload.
Johnny inherited his dad’s tendency to get awkward in suddenly emotional or intense situations.
They both are very dramatic in the reactions to things.
Marcus called Johnny duck as a nickname when he was really little and now he does it in really intense situations to calm him down.
Marcus does still remember a bit of piano from his wife and will help Johnny out when he’s struggling.
Johnny helped his dad and uncles set up social media soon after they got out of jail. The first person Marcus followed was Johnny and he immediately went through and liked all his posts.
Marcus has a ton of books on parenting and raising/being supportive of your kids that he reads constantly.
Johnny tells his dad pretty much everything, including set gossip.
Marcus is in a groupchat with the other parents in the New Moon Theatre Troupe.
Marcus and Johnny both are fluent in Hindi and use it as a way to just talk to each other one on one in public without other people listening in.
Marcus is constantly hugging his son and tells him that he loves hims and is proud of him every chance he gets after the disaster that happened in Sing 1.
They started family therapy together after the whole disowning issue and are doing so much better that it’s surprised even their therapist.
Marcus has an alert set on his phone for every time Johnny is mentioned in a web article and he reads every single one. He even hangs his favourites around the garage and will show off videos of Johnny to customers.

So they didn't become void, they were "born" that way
In FaaF there are different species and kinds of higher beings (still a MASSIVE work in progress tbh, trying to figure out how these cunts work, but for now I'm thinking they're extremely rare species with far greater abilities and lifespans than a normal bug's that have a chance to ascend to true godhood (but even if they don't ascend that doesn't stop mortals from worshipping them as they're already very god-like from a normal bug's perspective)), "pale beings" being one of these kinds/mutations.
Well, there was also a different kind once, "void beings", but they all went extinct a very long time ago by the beginning of the story. Shade Lord was one, and last, of them and it lost its life in a fight with Radiance - the same fight that drove her to make her permanent residence in the dream realm out of her new-found fear of death (which backfired spectacularly ngl). Its body was buried in the Abyss, where it broke apart and decayed, or decayed as much as a non-living thing can, before it was unearthed many ages later by the pale wyrm.
Not much is known about them since they've been gone for so long, and the vessels are the only void beings remaining, but since they're not "pure" void beings it'd be foolish of anyone to assume that the ancient extinct species behaved the same way as these ones do. But they were generally greatly feared thanks to the void's freaky, dangerous properties, which partly lead to their extinction as some of the other higher beings purposefully attacked and killed them whenever they stumbled across one out of fear. Now the only thing remaining of them are the rare void sources, where their former bodies still refuse to fully die.
Shade Lord does get accidentally resurrected in the story bc of all the tomfoolery happening with its body before almost immediately getting killed again by Ghost who inherits its title and reign. Don't ask me how that works, haven't figured that out yet. Magic god shit or something idk LMAO

What do you hate about vanessa characterization
Alright listen real talk. I'm all for giving horrible antagonistic characters some amount of humanization or rationalization behind their actions. I get it I understand I'm totally for it. But at the same time holy shit how Vanessa's actions get largely ignored, downplayed or brushed under the rug for purposes of "let's get her and the person she abused and murdered to reunite because reasons" makes me so fucking mad
Literally don't care if you want Van and Snatcher to reunite for romantic or platonic purposes. Why would anyone be so desperate to redeem/justify an abuser's actions or pretend that the abused has to - or should - forgive and forget in any capacity. No. Fuck that. Fuck any notion of that
In what world is it a "better" ending or alternative for the victim to just be cool being around their abuser again. Even the GAME didn't try to pull this shit and the game redeemed the Mafia, a bunch of genocidal colonizers. Don't try and lump her in with the forced redemption crew because that's fucked
I don't care how tragic you make Van's backstory or if you go the fun sparkly ableist route of blaming it on a mental illness, I don't want to see her justified. I don't. I really, really truly do not.
Honestly portraying her, as she is during canon's events, in any way as rational or sympathetic or understanding makes me want to maim and kill. It's so tone deaf that I just don't get why someone would do it to begin with.
You want to go in-depth with her backstory and explain how she became this way? You want to give me an in-detail look of her thought processes and how they became so twisted and dark? That's delicious, hell yes, absolutely. But the moment you use that as any sort of justification or say she's suddenly redeemable because "awauhghh but her MoM was a BAd PerSon" or whatever then you've lost all of my interest .
Girlies as someone with Bad Experiences who latched onto Snatcher for a bit because of a little bit too much "I felt that" happening when I went through the rift's storybook, coming back to see a staggering amount of fanon totally cool with Vanessa or defending her actions was shocking to me
I wouldn't even be mad or surprised if it was going full "oh what an evil bitch I love her" but no it's. Why is there so much. So so much rationalizing or defending of her happening. You can like evil terrible characters and not try to condone or explain away their actions to make them "better people."
like oh no baby what! is you doing??

Tbh I usually just age my sims up until they can take care if themselves because ain't nobody got time for taking care of pixel children!
The only time I don't do that is when I'm doing a pregnant challenge in which case the pixel children must take care of themselves with only each other in the basement lmao. The parent sim only feeds them but otherwise has no interaction with their baby sims until they're older
people who can actually do those 100 baby challenges scare me. i would simply pass away
for some reason whenever my sims have kids it ruins the save for me 😭😭😭 i think im just gonna stick to adopting from now on
