Update!

Hi everyone! I know it’s been a while since you’ve heard anything from us and we’re sorry for the radio silence, we wanted to pop in to give you a quick update

We went on an unofficial hiatus due to other personal projects and general life stuff, but this is something we are all still very passionate about and are planning to continue

we have season one (roughly) plotted out, along with the first two episodes! We will be working more on getting a decent skeleton for the world set up and once the first season starts “airing” we will be opening the world up for everyone!

A quick explanation for how we’re hoping Avylon to work:

This blog will be mainly for the core story of Avylon, here we will be posting the episodes, information, answering questions, etc (and occasionally reblogging things) All under a tag for the primary story

We will be posting a community tag as well that we encourage people to use when posting their own Avylon content so that we will be able to see it and everyone can keep track of the amazing content for this brand new community we will be creating!

People have been asking about “submitting” ocs and we wanted to clear up that your ocs are your own! We want you to create amazing content and have fun exploring the world with your characters As the story of Avylon unfolds you will have more “canon” content to base your ocs and stories in and fun new scenarios and locations as well!

As for being part of the main story, be sure to keep your content properly tagged so that we can see it all! And you may just get a message asking if a location or character you created could be worked into part of the story

Thank you for the continued interest in this project, we are all so excited to see where this goes and hope you all will continue to be patient with us <3

A Quick Disclaimer

We are so excited and so pumped to see everyone’s enthusiasm for Avylon, honestly your support and love for this world already has blown us away

This started out as a fun new idea between a couple friends and suddenly we are creating an entire world and an epic adventure to go along with it and we can’t express how giddy we are to share it all with you

If we had ANY idea that this would become so popular (let alone so quickly!) we would have waited to post anything until we already had the world and the story established as to stave off any confusion and to maybe save some hurt feelings over it

Lady Astra Grenville

Born to a noble family as the youngest daughter.

Stole some of her twin brother’s clothes and ran away from home at the age of 8 after being introduced to her future husband.

Disguised as a boy she tried to board a ship. The captain saw through her disguise but still took her with him.

The captain taught her how to use different weapons (such as bow and arrow, sword, dagger) so that she would always be able to defend herself against anyone.

She learned how to navigate the seas and safely bring the crew and cargo from one port to another.

After the captain’s son was killed at sea by a pirate, he swore revenge. He made it his life’s mission to hunt, imprison and kill pirates. Aware of how dangerous his mission was, he asked Astra if she would join him or if she wanted to stay safe and take over his business. She chose to stay with him and help him.

While she was a skilled swordswoman, she chose to stay out of the fights most of the time to help the wounded crewmen and keep an eye on the captain. She understood his need for revenge but was also worried about him.

Avylon Playlists

So I’m finally posting these.

As I said previously, I decided to make two different playlist and the reason for that is that there were so many songs I thought of and that were suggested but unfortunately, the styles clashed. Like really bad. 

So first we have The Sounds of Avylon. It has all the shanties you hear on the ships, the tunes that fill the taverns, the soft melodies of forest and sea and their magical creatures. Any song you might hear in the actual world of Avylon.

The second one is what I like to call the Cinematic version of Avylon . It’s all the modern songs that I think fit the world of Avylon and its characters, one way or another. For these songs, one should pay close attention to the lyrics to be able to really grasp the feeling.

I sincerely hope that @welcome-to-avylon and anyone interested in the story likes them. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.

These playlist are not complete, meaning you can always suggest a song, for both of them. I keep my right to not add a song if I feel like it doesn’t fit. That being said, if Megan, Wendy or Marcus feel like any song shouldn’t be in the playlists, I wouldn’t mind removing it as the playlists are based on the world of Avylon, a world that they are creating.
