portrait practice with SILO characters rahhhh (for each i tried to work from reference as much as i could and then switched to tracing so that they Looked Right.)

#juliette nichols did unthinkable things to my mind and body (reference to bigtop burger: kid) #you know the post about scifi being sweaty women in tank tops covered in dirt. yeah #the silo writers: ok so theres an antagonist who wears all black. and is the only one in universe to do so. and he has big beautiful eyes #they visited the 'My Favorite Character factory' and stole the secret recipe. i feel so catered to #the main character is a grimy autistic engineer with tattoos (for the first 2 episodes. then she gets a new job 😔) and i love her a lot!!! #its a mystery scifi. it's not what i usually watch but the worldbuilding was really good #you could tell the set and costume design had a lot of love put into them #and the plot was intriguing to follow #do i recommend silo? #yes. its a good show :) #these are portrait practices from august. faces are still currently my least favorite thing to draw but they are slightly easier now #silo #silo apple tv #art #my art #silo fanart

Presenting the Banana Boys the Aides-de-Camp of Marshal Jean-de-Dieu Soult, the excitable drunk collective blob military family of the grumpy asshole!

I’ve been enjoying reading about their shenanigans in @josefavomjaaga’s posts and wanted to draw them, especially as I’ve started having them appear in some writing snippets and RPs

From left to right we have

Alfred de Saint-Chamans, who once wondered why Napoleon was so interested in Soult’s ass and who thinks he deserves a medal too!

Auguste Petiet, who despite Soult being mean to him and not giving him a promotion because of a disagreement with Petiet's dad, is really proud of military daddy Soult

Alfred de Lameth, the jester who can't stop joking even when it offends Murat's wife and who got murked in Spain and made his fellow soldiers so sad they burned and slaughtered a village in revenge

Brun de Villeret, the sensible guy who got into a car crash because of Soult's distracted driving and who spent months trying to convince Napoleon that the rumours about Soult trying to make himself king in Portugal are mean rumours

I found references for all of them except Lameth, who died young and also his uncle is too famous so the image search is full of him and his stupid wig, so I pretty much just made up Lameth's appearance based on vibes.

There's more ADCs like Pierre Soult, the baby brother of Soult, Franceschi the Art Guy, Coco Lefebvre Who Physically Can't Stop Partying and others, but these four are probably the Main Characters in the writing I've done!

And also yeah Soult did decide that his assistants should be dressed in bright yellow shirts and sky blue pants.

thanks for the info, anon :D my previous post was made based partially on what i saw others saying and partially on the general timing of when he was talking about bidding/when the bids were going up and ended up getting a bit more attention than i bargained for lol. if it turns out not to be him, i'll happily retcon my original post and/or take it down! at the end of the day, they've gone to a good home and helped raise a lot of money for a good cause and that's all that matters :)

im so confused. rohan's pov in tgg was very...unexpected. what's his role in the book? like i love rohan, he's a great side character, but what is his importance in this book for him to be a character with his own pov??? are avery and rohan collabing to create tgg? is he involved in finding alice? or is he in cahoots with eve? we'll never know (until august). im pretty sure he might be involved in finding alice though.
