care to drop some hcs (or a drabble) for mei fu hua and kiana all turning into children bc of some lab accident and the reader is basically just this tired classmate that has to take care of all of them until they turn back to normal?
Sorry if this req seems too long and specific :,)
alright, sorry if i’m late since i need to take some break from tumblr but now i’m back! and no need to say sorry about it since i absolutely loves your idea!!
warning : typos, bad grammar
attention! please do not try to repost my works, i only post my works on tumblr, if anyone see someone stole my works please inform me through the comments, tag me in the works, or message me!
.
.
.
.
.
oh. My. God.
now look at you, holding your first cup of coffee in the morning just to see Himeko struggling with Mei, Kiana and Hua become as a kid, alright as a Valkyrie you take it easy if something weird happened, someone’s got a stand like from JOJO anime, or people got a mechanic hands, or people that could only cook bitter melon, but Kiana the bratty become a kids? ok actually its not that bad if its just- Kiana.. but how you supposed to take care of kids if Mei dan Hua that is the responsible and skillful one, become a child too!?
So you and Himeko sat on the sofa, looking at the little one’s so pure and playful, Kiana getting tamed with fried chicken, Mei who’s eat together with Kiana and Hua.. who’s clapping the mosquito around Kiana and Mei. “you know, i think its not as a bad as we think right?”
You sighed, and continuously sipping your coffee, and then sighing again for the second time, looking at Himeko, who’s taking her can of beer in the early morning, but that is her habits, you ignore it. “When will they back to normal?” you asked, eating one of the fried chicken as well to calm your mind that already filled with imaginary stressed for the rest of your life. Himeko looking at her phones and then replying “Principal Theresa says that it could take one day or... a week.. and the worst case, it could be longer than that”
.
.
.
so you and Himeko take turns, you took care of the kids at the day and Himeko during the night, since Himeko need her daytime to teach and you need your nighttime to sleep and rest, so deal besides Himeko loves to stay up all night, and Principal Theresa will be working on how to make Kiana, Mei, and Hua back to normal as soon as possible
.
.
.
“Sorry to make you include to this horrible things..” Theresa talks to you while you holding Hua and feeding her with matcha macaroon, you nodded your head “Indeed miss Theresa, i’m super tired and i don’t like kids, so respectfully please be a little quick to find the cure about this disaster..” you state yourself, with your eyes tired and your hand shaking since you took bunch of coffee since Himeko seems doesn’t do her work well at the night time, maybe because she’s drinking so the kids cry and she doesn’t know how to calm them down, so it grows to be your job, haha...
“are you that tired, (Y/N)? i apologize for Kiana and Mei...”, “You’re suprisingly polite in your young age Fu Hua”, “Its basic manners, (Y/N)”
“(Y/N)! look what i found! Adult’s drink!!”
“KIANA DON’T DRINK IT-”
.
.
.
“Mei, Hua, can you please watch Kiana? i want to take a bath now, and don’t touch anything dirty, and don’t go outside until i’m done taking a bath, get it?”
You hold Mei and Hua’s shoulder with you hands, and then leave the three of them when Mei and Hua nodded as a form of understand upon the task you gave to them, you finally walk to the bathroom, and get some quiet and peace me time, in the bathroom, but who cares, at least in the bathroom, they woud not make a proble--
“KYAA KIANA YOU BURN (Y/N)’S BOOK- (Y/N) HELPPPP”
“ITS OKAY MEI SENPAI, I JUST LIGHT THE CANDLE, JUST THAT”
Hua knocking the bathroom door so many times so that you would get out from the bathroom
“oh god....”
.
.
.
nighttime, yes, that doesn’t mean you can sleep in peace, so you decide to sat on the couch, watching tv, hoping every second that nobody of them crying and wake the other
tug tug
you crossed your eyes, to see Fu Hua tugging the edge of your clothes, and then you could see her eyes, almost crying, then you make her sit beside you, offering you a hot chocolate that actually yours, but you haven’t drink it.
“Something wrong? want me to put you back to sleep?”
she shakes her head, and then sipping the hot chocolate you gave her. “I don’t want to sleep, so i can help you guarding Kiana and Mei incase they can’t sleep or having a nightmare..”
you look at her, she is kind, polite, but yet maybe because she is in a child mindset, her decision is still childish and still act like a normal small child would act as one, you know Fu Hua just being kind and polite from the start, maybe she’s grow like that from the start.
you the ruffled her head and nodding, you don’t want to argue on what she want to do, you never like a child, so you never treat them like a child, you treat most of children as an adult which what they want to be, you don’t want to make a fuss about it, they like the way you treat them as adult, so nobody’s feelings got hurt. “alright, im happy to see you want to help me this night, remember, don’t fall asleep”
that sounds like a challenge to little Fu Hua, but pfft, you sure that she’ll be back asleep in..
.
.
1 minutes passed..
of course she haven’t show any signs of sleepy
2 minutes..
you asked her “you okay? need another hot chocolate?” “No..” “alright how about a tea? i want to make one” “alright!”
5 minutes passed..
“Fu Hua, i brought the tea- Hua? are you asleep?” “no-no!!”
6 minutes passed..
“do you like the tea?” “yes i like it, thankyou so much (Y/N).”
8 minutes passed..
“Fu Hua?” “...! yes-?” “fufu, nothing..”
10 minutes...
“Fu Hua??” “......” “Huaaa?” “....”
there you go, she’s asleep, nice
.
.
.
.
.
“SO THAT’S WHAT HAPPENED!?”
“its so... embarassing...”
“i must...agree with you.. class president.”
in conclusion, nobody will ever turn into a child, ever again. nope that’s the last.

Hi Mei, you ever had a chaotic group of friends? My friends are usually chaotic on online particulary helldivers. It's pretty fun to be honest. Which reminds me how is your progress with Honkai Impact and Star Rail? I didn't have enough time to start with the new story quest but i manage to get Acheron all it took was a few sheds on my sanity XD
I've stuck with mostly the same friend group over the course of my life, so I can't really tell if they're considered chaotic? A lot of them are very spontaneous, though. It's inevitable to grow out of friendships, but I like to think that me and my friends have been doing pretty well all things considered. I love them to death.
Anyway, I've maxed out HSR. I've gotten to the point where I'm mostly just burning my TB fuel for trace materials or exp books. I'm mostly focusing on HI3 these days. I'm about halfway through the final chapter of part 1, (at least the final chapter of Kiana's story) and I'm really hesitant to continue. I don't want it to end. Congratulations on Acheron, though! I'm still trying to get her to this day.

Kianna In Wonderland
Kianna (Fem!OC) X Dabi
Word Count: 805
Requested: @nunezs-stuff
Request: Original Request (I actually don’t know where the original request went it has disappeared from my inbox but I’m hoping that I’ve remembered the best of it, hopefully it’ll appear back in there and I’ll link it when it does but in the meantime if I missed anything then please let me know.)
Tumblr media
Dabi had been in the fight one minute and then in what seemed like a child's dream the next, he could feel that there was someone watching him but he couldn’t see them, not until he turned the corner where there was a large table with a girl sitting at the head of the table. “Who are you?” He asked. “My name is Kianna.” She answered as stood from where she was sitting, Dabi took no chances, his hand pulled back before using his quirk to get rid of her before she could get too close. “There was no need for that.” Her voice sounded closer and as he turned to his left, she was sitting in the chair there. “How did you do that?” Dabi asked. “Shigaraki asked me to come and get you.” She said as she pointed to the door that had appeared behind him. “That will take you back to the bar, you can report to him there.” “How do I know that you're telling the truth?” He asked. “You think the heroes want anything to do with me?” She asked, his eyes moved over her outfit, it made her look cute, reminded him of Toga but when he eyes connected with hers it was then that he realised that she couldn’t have been a hero. “Why haven’t you been with the others?” He asked. “I tend to scare people.” Kianna answered and he raised an eyebrow. “You really think that you are going to be the scariest thing in our group?” He asked. “I always have been.” She answered, he wanted to know what that meant but instead of asking he turned to the door, he may not see her again but he could at least ask Shigaraki about her when he got back.
It was only a few days later that Kianna appeared at the bar, she kept to herself for the most part but Dabi decided that now was the chance he was looking for to find out where she had come from “so still think you're the scariest person in the room?” He asked. “I guess not.” She answered as she looked around. “So what brought you to this side of the fight?” He asked. “People didn’t like my quirk, most of them decided I was a villain before I did.” She explained. “Why?” Dabi asked, leaning back in his seat. “I wasn’t always able to control it, it can be used for helping or for hurting, when I was younger I wasn’t able to create the doors to let people out especially if I didn’t like them very much.” She explained. “They’re still in there?” He asked. “They’re bodies are… Now they serve to trap those who I need to trap and kill the heroes that find themselves in the dream land.” She explained. “It can be a trap or a gateway depending on how I feel about you.” “Really?” He asked. “Maybe one day I’ll show you.” She shrugged.
After that conversation they only seemed to grow closer so close that they were often on missions together and Shigaraki needed information so he sent the two of them, they were probably the most reliable members. Kianna sat back in the chair with your feet kicked up on the table “how many loops?” Kiana “What?” Dabi asked. “How many loops do you think he’ll do before he realises that he’s not getting out of here?” She asked. “3… Maybe 4.” He answered. “W-where am I?” The man finally asked as he turned to you. “Don’t worry about where you are, all you need to do is tell me everything that you know about Chisaki.” She grabbed the tea cup in front of her and took a sip. “Chisaki… I can’t.” He answered. “If you don’t have anything to tell me then you're only good for entertaining me, I hope that you can run… Fast.” Kianna said, she gave a sharp whistle and a dog-like creature appeared from the shadows, it growled at the man in front of you. “Run.” “So this is what you meant?” Dabi asked as he watched the man run before you waved your hand sending the dog creature after him. “They don’t hurt anyone unless I tell them to, there are plants here that heal and ones that poison.” She explained “there is only so long that you can survive when the whole world is out to kill you.” “Hmm.” Dabi grunted, he decided in the moment when the ook of death took over your face as you face the man again that he wanted nothing more than to keep you close, he might not ever say it out loud but he’d show you anyway that he could, anytime that he could, he just hoped that you understood what he was doing.

Fu Hua the secret agent.
I will be spoiling parts of all of the above.
Previous Era of Civilization
Fu Hua’s story starts 50,000 years ago in her home city of Sapphire, a Honkai eruption had occurred and she had hidden from the beasts and was one of the few survivors. She was found by Himeko, the leader of Squadron V in MOTH, and she offered to teach Fu Hua how to fight the Honkai. A year later Himeko was corrupted by the Honkai and became the 7th Herrscher, the Herrscher of Flame and was killed by Kevin Kaslana. Fu Hua was the only survivor of Squadron V after their leader became a Herrscher and was mistrusted by other members of MOTH, calling her the “Firewytch’s Little Bird”, because she and Himeko were close.
Later Fu Hua was assigned with a group of other MOTH soldiers to take back a mine in Australia. They were going to be given 10th Divine Key weapons as they had begun being mass produced, and told that it was a field trial for the Divine Keys. They were given an injection before the mission and sent off.
(note: there are multiple 10th Divine Keys because the 10th Herrscher took over many bodies, thus there are multiple Herrscher cores to weapons)
When they arrived they had no problems killing smaller Honkai beasts but then the massive Emperor class Honkai beast Gensha appeared and killed everyone, the Divine Keys being wielded by regular humans had no effect on such a strong Honkai beast.
When Fu Hua confronted Ganesha her Divine Key shattered and she was thrown against a building but unlike the other soldiers the metamorph ICHOR which they had injected into the soldiers before the mission took hold and Fu Hua became a MANTIS soldier, adding Honkai genes to her human DNA. Her shattered 10th Divine Key also changed form from a Xuanyuan Sword to the Grips of Taixuan.
Tumblr media
DR. MEI also gave Fu Hua the 8th Divine Key, Fenghuang Down; it creates illusions/ dreams that Fu Hua can trap her targets in. She is also seen using it to power up normal attacks, or perform attacks that are impossible, such as cutting out a man’s tongue when she’s tied up and he tries to assault her. She also put herself/a copy of herself in somebody else’s mind using Fenghuang Down.
After this we know she fought the Honkai as a MANTIS like Kevin Kaslana, the previous era Sakura or Su did. She also took part in the final battle against the  14th Herrscher, the Herrscher of the End, on the Moon. After the previous era’s final defeat at the hands of the Herrscher of the End, Fu Hua and the remaining Humans went underground and into cryostasis to wait for the 4th Divine Key to heal the damage Honkai had done to the Earth.
Current Era of Civilization
Sometime around when human civilization reappeared was when the survivors from the Previous Era reemerged from cryostasis. When exactly isn’t shown but we are shown panels in the manga of Su and Kevin in Ancient Egypt and Rome/Greece.
Fu Hua, Fuxi, and Nuwa are in charge of aiding human civilization around China and they’ve set up base in Shenzhou. They were in charge of Project EMBER, a project meant to speed up the development of human civilization. Fuxi and Nuwa were also entrusted with a 10th Divine Key and tasked with giving it to a person of this era who could wield it, they picked a young woman with a stigmata Ji Xuanyuan. Fuxi and Nuwa also created the Phoenix image for Fu Hua to have to make her a legend
Fuxi and Nuwa weren’t MANTIS soldiers unlike Fu Hua so they would age and die. They didn’t want Fu Hua to become lonely when they were gone so they make the ELF Book of Fuxi to keep her company.
Unfortuntely because the Honkai grows with civilization Project EMBER sped up the growth of the Honkai and gave birth to the Judgement class Honkai beast Chiyou. Nuwa and Fuxi died to stop it and Ji Xuanyuan was trapped inside the beast. Project EMBER was cancelled and Fu Hua became the Immortal Celestial, Phoenix, Protector of Shenzhou to protect China because that’s what she promised she’d do.
Fu Hua also starts a school to teach people how to combat the Honkai. It was Book of Fuxi’s final request.
In the late 1400s Schicksal has solidified its control over Europe and wants more, so they decide to head east. Schicksal and the Ming Empire fight in the Eurasian steppe from 1470-1475 but then Fu Hua shows up and defeats Schicksal’s army single-handed. She also defeats Kallen Kaslana in single combat and call her out for using the Oath of Judah against humans.
Now we get to the visual novel. It’s not translated but I’ll give a brief summary of what I know from hearsay. Fu Hua is betrayed by her students and killed in an extremely gory description that includes organs outside of the body and exposed brains. Luckily a few cells are left alive, so she can heal back from that, due to being a MANTIS soldier. She sets out looking for answers as to why she was betrayed. She also meets Otto Apocalypse, who is wandering the world after Kallen’s death. I don’t know what happens beyond that.
Mihoyo please translate your shit.
Anyway, Fu Hua continues protecting civilization in Shenzhou. She also adopts and trains Cheng Lixue sometime in the 1990s but then also abandons her.
the Second Honkai War
(again seriously, read the Second Eruption Manga)
The Second Honkai War is where we see how terrifyingly powerful Fu Hua is.
When Otto mobilizes all of Schicksal to defeat Sirin, because she had gained 6 Herrscher cores and the situation had gotten really out of hand. He also calls upon his old friend Fu Hua, because Sirin has the Gem of Serenity, the core of the Herrscher of Death and Otto believes he needs the Herrscher of Death to revive Kallen.
Otto, Cheng Lixue, and Fu Hua personally confront Sirin on top of Babylon labs where they confront the Herrscher of the Void directly. Fu Hua immediately traps her in a dream world and fights her in the dream world and kills her there, making her think she’s dead. Then Otto fucks everything up by letting Sirin get in touch with God and she free’s Sirin from Fu Hua’s dream, so Fu Hua creates an attack so powerful Sirin that God has to shield her from the blow. Sirin had to be saved by deus ex machina.
Tumblr media
Luckily Fu Hua’s punch did sever Sirin’s connection to God. Unfortunately, she burnt up so much of the 8th Divine Key she lost her memories. Sirin also left the dream world with control over some of the powers of the 8th Divine Key.
When she exits the dream world she doesn’t remember who Cheng Lixue is and Cheng Lixue sacrifices herself to let Otto escape with the unconscious Fu Hua.
By the time the 2nd Honkai War is over, Fu Hua wakes up and runs away from Schicksal but she has nowhere else to go. She has lost a great deal of her power and is dying as well, so she has to rely on Schicksal to defend Shenzhou because her promise to do so is all she really remembers. She basically has to become Otto’s personal lackey in order to ensure her home’s safety.
In 2014, Kiana and the gang are at St. Freya and Fu Hua takes Kiana on a mission with her under the guise of it being easy. A Schicksal scientist has defected and taken the Gem of Serenity with him to neutral Singapore to escape to Anti-Entropy territory. Fu Hua has to get it back. Fu Hua kills a pervy clone of the 1st Herrscher and Kiana gets to the Gem first. Kiana is possessed by the Herrscher of the Void because the the Gem of Serenity was returned to her. (Kiana is Sirin, want that explained? Ask me or go read the 2nd Eruption Manga). Fu Hua beats her up and gets the Gem back, saving Kiana. The whole purpose of Fu Hua’s mission was actually to make sure that the Herrscher could get the Gem of Serenity.
Stuff That Happens in Game (spoilers for Chapter 4 onwards until the end of the post)
After Chapter 4 in the game Fu Hua uses the 8th Divine Key to go into Bronya’s mind to help her put her mind back together after Bronya destroys the chip in her brain to stop Cocolia from being able to mind control her.
Chapters 5 and 6 are both illusions created by the Herrscher of the Void using the small part 8th Divine Key she stole from Fu Hua in the Second Honkai War. When the Herrscher of the Void begins to awaken within Kiana at the end of Chapter 6, Fu Hua kidnaps Kiana takes her Schicksal HQ. Fu Hua fights for Otto in the beginning and captures Himeko. She uses the 8th Divine Key to heal Himeko after their fight then goes to save her friends, then Otto kills her for betraying him.
BUT all those people she’s used the 8th Divine Key on still have a copy of her in their heads. So Himeko is guided around Schicksal HQ by Fu Hua and given the means to save Kiana from the Herrscher of the Void. Bronya is saved from Grey Serpent by the Fu Hua in her head. Kiana has the Fu Hua in her head throughout ARC City until Fu Hua fights Kevin to let Kiana escape. And now Kevin has that Fu Hua as a feather.
Where does that leave us now?
At least one copy of Fu Hua still exists in feather form. Kevin says he’ll wake her up when it’s all over, in reference to defeating the Honkai.
The Fu Hua in Bronya’s head doesn’t seem to be explicitly gone.
If you’re in the “Himeko’s not dead” crowd then she’d still be there but,, Himeko.
And if it’s possible for her body to come back from near-death again then that’s a possibility but she was extremely weak when she died compared to when she healed the last time.
Anyway, Phoenix is the Hottest Thing There Is.

2 & 13 👀
2. Favorite relationship
Man it's like asking me to pick a favorite child, that's not fair! BUT...if I were to pick just one...it would probably be the relationship between Airi and Shay (@tiredassrdwhmage) because I'm a big sucker for both relationships that transcend lifetimes and for the ship dynamic that is the dark brooding moody world-weary and hiding that last shred of vulnerability mercenary and the sweet naive optimistic sunshine adventurer who is also harboring their own darkness and doubts because it is so important to me that those people find and bring out the best in each other and learn to heal from their past experiences, especially when they learn that they're not alone.
13. Most impactful fight
This would likely be the conflict between Kiana and her adoptive father Astor, shortly after the end of Shadowbringers. As their enemies get stronger and more numerous, young Kiana took it upon herself to get stronger by any means necessary, which amounted to violent sparring with fierce opponents that frequently left her injured and broken. Naturally this was a point of great distress for healer main Astor, though he initially tried to give her space by letting her make her own decisions and mistakes as the adult she had but recently become. However it didn't last long, and one night it led to a big falling out between them, pulling some long held internalized feelings into the light.
Kiana had finished her childhood and teenage years in the shadow of the Warrior of Light, and while he had cared for and protected her in that time, it had also left her feeling incredibly inferior to him, forever unable to match his level of strength and therefore unable to keep him safe from their worst enemies. She was fully aware of the toll his responsibility had taken on him physically, mentally, and emotionally, and after all he had done for her it seemed only fair that she should be able to alleviate his burden in some way, right?
Only Astor did not see things that way at all. In his mind, he had taken her in, cared for her, protected and nurtured her, all so she could live a life free of the yoke that had hung around his neck for longer than he cared to remember. He didn't want her to share in his trials, because she at least still had the choice to make her own path, instead of the one laid before him when he was chosen by Hydaelyn.
Would that their feelings had been more fully expressed in their argument, but alas, even Warriors of Light are privy to emotional outbursts and angry words that they wish they could take back, and it ended with Kiana storming from the house in frustrated tears.
They would not speak on it again until Kiana would pull her most dangerous gambit yet - offering to host Shiva herself to spare Ryne, believing herself to be both more expendable of a conduit, and secretly hoping that channeling the power of a primal would be finally be enough, make her good enough to protect the father she loved....but one E8 fight later she accepted that such was not the best way to become her best self.
The whole conflict, I think, shifted their entire relationship a bit, as they underwent the growth pains of a relationship growing from father/daughter to one of adults on somewhat more equal footing. He will always worry for her and care about her, but ultimately accept that her choices are yet her own, and she is committed to walking down this road with him to the very end. For Kiana, it was learning that strength is not something that can be attained quickly or easily, nor is it something she must do alone.

Heart Attack 2020
Hey friend!
Looks like you and I both like to write like the wind and suffer in the process, so without further ado, let’s go :D
Also, oops, my habit of procrastination has caught up with me… sorry about that!  Here’s a letter now at least…
   General DNW
non-con/dub-con;
explicit sexual content;
incest (incl. adoptive/chosen family);
a/b/o;
mpreg;
non-canonical permanent major character death;
complete downer endings;
hurt no comfort;
heavy angst;
on-page deliberate self-harm*;
on-page suicide;
gore;
graphic physical trauma;
character bashing;
cringe comedy;
fic-as-writer-soapbox;
fic that’s all about real-world bigotries or real-world politics;
canon-typical 2020;
unrequested full-setting AUs;
unrequested identity headcanons;
unrequested romance as the main plot.
*I don’t include things like, say, punching a wall in a fit of emotion under this. However, something like cutting would not be appreciated.
 *****
General Likes
– I really like plotty fics
– Secret identity and disguise shenanigans, the more layers to them and more absurdity the better.
– Crossdressing for whatever reason and gender disguises, also for whatever reason, though not as a fetish thing—that I enjoy less.
– Time travel and time loops are always fun, especially as a fix-it.  I have a general preference for Peggy Sue style (aka, an older character getting put back in their younger body at an earlier point in the timeline) over the character’s physical body stepping back in time, but either one is good.
– A focus on family and/or friendship, especially characters realizing they’re not nearly as alone as they think they are, and just generally characters who like each other and enjoy spending time together
– Found family; families of choice
– Character studies
– Worldbuilding
– Canon-divergence AUs and missing scenes; things set pre- or post-canon; wriggling into canon and poking at it to see what it spits back at you, if that description makes any sense at all.
 *****
wherein i request a time-travel canon and mostly don't request time travelers [art and fic]

fandom-specific dnw: romantic and/or sexual Zach/Zorian; physical parental abuse within the Kazinski family; significant exaggeration of canonical emotional neglect/abuse/general family dysfunction
 Prompts:
If you want to write an AU, you can consider any AU requested for AUEx for Mother of Learning, as listed here, to be requested in this exchange as well, even if the requested characters aren’t requested there, as long as it isn’t written as purely mundane.
I’ve written a fair few Mother of Learning prompts already; if you want to see me going off more about things, especially for Kirielle, please see the Mother of Learning section of my Gen Freeform Ex letter here.  If you don’t want to click through, though, here’s a bit of things.
 Kirielle, Kirielle & Zorian:
If you want to focus on Kirielle’s relationship with someone who isn’t Zorian, for Kirielle and Nochka, they’re adorable and I’d love a further development of their friendship, especially getting to see it grow and develop over the months and years after the invasion.  If you want to write about Kiri and Zach, these two seem to have a lot of fun teaming up against Zorian lol, I really enjoy their dynamic and how they play off each other.  For Kirielle and Zorian, I love their dynamic!  And again here I’d really enjoy seeing their relationship developing in real time, rather than a constantly looping world.  I think it would be great to see either of them defending the other to their parents—and maybe Zorian ends up with custody of Kiri, there’s definitely things to explore there.
For Kirielle by herself, I’d love some sort of character study—what does she do now that the time loop is over?  She’s growing up into a war; will she be a mage?  An artist?  Something else?  Alternatively—what if she got pulled into the loop; what would it be like to grow older while still looking nine?
 Zach, Zach & Neolu:
Assuming you don’t go for a setting AU, I’d generally prefer something set at least in part after the time loop begins, but beyond that I don’t have a strong preference for where in the timeline this might be set.  Maybe something from before Zorian got looped in—maybe one of the iterations where Zach and Neolu just went off across the country having fun the whole month? Zach doing whatever, possibly very early on, or maybe him freaking out a little because what the hell, time travel is supposed to be impossible, and yet—what did he do in the start?
Or for post-canon, I’d really like an exploration of Zach, who’s got the lived-time of a middle-aged man and the body of a teenager—how does he relate to his classmates/other people in the real world, where everyone’s growing again?  Maybe something about his lawsuit against his caretaker, or just a little thing with him, Zorian, and How Do You Live Normally, Again?  This Is Hard, or some such thing.
 Raynie & Kiana:
Me? Latching onto a minor character in a big sprawling canon? It’s more likely than you think!
Anyway I like Raynie a lot; we don’t get a whole lot on her, but what we do get paints her as someone who’s having a very interesting life of her own, utterly divorced from the timeloop shenanigans (except re: the shifter children thing).
I like her and Kiana’s friendship, too; I like how when we finally see more of them both we learn more about how they’re similar and different.
For specific prompts, if you want to go pre-canon I’d really love something with her initial going to Cyoria and how she befriended Kiana in the first place (or, perhaps more likely, how Kiana befriended her; I somehow doubt that Raynie age 13, recently semi-exiled from her tribe, was particularly in search of outsider friends).
For post-canon, really, anything dealing with the fallout of all the things that go down in the real world would be fantastic too.
Alanic & Silverlake, Alanic & Xvim:
I’ve grouped these because they both have to do with Alanic, but really they’re not very similar prompts.
For Alanic and Silverlake I’d be very interested in something to do with Alanic’s backstory; Silverlake knew him as a young necromancer, so… what happened there?  How did they know each other?  Why was Alanic set on becoming a necromancer; clearly he got far enough to have soul sight himself—how’d he get that?  Why did he leave the necromancer’s path to become a priest?
For Alanic and Xvim, I dunno, this seemed fun?  They’re both part of the “annoying but ultimately helpful teacher” club to Zorian, and they get along well with each other—gonna admit I don’t fully remember what goes down for them in the final, real-world iteration, but.  They’re both a lot of fun and they play off each other well; just go wild here.  I’m down for it if you are.

·        Angry | Keira & Red | Catalina (Disney: Tangled)
fandom-specific notes: Cass's canonical injured hand/arm that canon just kind of... forgets about and doesn't ever address after it's introduced is totally fair game; I'd love something that addressed that, just nothing too graphic about the original injury please.  Dnw fic which explicitly breaks up Rapunzel/Eugene.
 Prompts:
So, overall, I just love this show a lot?  It’s just so wholesome and heartfelt and hopeful?  Anything you write which can grab that vibe I’ll probably enjoy tbh.
But! Onwards to specifics!
Cass & Varian, Cass & Catalina, Cass & Eugene:
This is my “team betrayed Rapunzel and/or ill-advisedly trusted a blue spirit in the woods and/or died for her before being resurrected” group lol, and I’d love something that explores one of those things; canon gives us a little bit of that between Cass and Varian in the form of “Nothing Left to Lose,” but it doesn’t really address it after they’ve both found their way back; I’d love something post-canon for any of these pairs, after Cass has finally got her act together and they can start learning to deal with all of it.  Sharing their experiences!  Figuring out how to emotionally process the bad (or good-but-with-unfortunate-consequences-even-if-only-temporary) decisions you made!  I’m here for it.
Eugene & Angry, Eugene & Catalina, Angry & Catalina, Angry & Catalina & Lance:
All the found family! If you’re just dealing with Angry and Catalina, I’d take anything at any point in the timeline tbh—how did they meet? When and how did they start thieving together?  What did they do between their major appearances in the show?  If you go post-canon—how do they work out their new lives with Lance?  They’ve been living on their own for at least two years, probably longer; how do they learn to let go and let someone else take care of them?  And for either (or both tbh) of them with Eugene—former child-thieves, reformed because of Rapunzel!  He doesn’t have any parental-style authority over them; how do they relate to him as opposed to Lance, in a post-canon world?

·        Eleanor & Sam (Secret Society of Second-Born Royals)
·        Worldbuilding & None (Secret Society of Second-Born Royals)
Fandom-specific dnw: January as purely, irredeemably evil; absolute monarchy as unambiguously purely good.
Fandom-specific note: since I’m directly asking for politics in the worldbuilding option, it would be a bit silly to fully dnw real-world politics in this real-world-adjacent setting. Don’t worry about referencing real politics if that’s where you go with your fic; however, I would rather any focused-on politics be filtered through the context of the fictional countries the film uses, and please don’t reference real-world American politics post-2015.  “unrequested full setting aus” dnw has been modified to “unrequested mundane aus” so if you want to, idk, put them in a fairytale au or a sports-but-still-have-powers au or something—go right ahead.
 Prompts:
So, I enjoyed this silly little movie quite a lot—the characters were a lot of fun!  I love them all!  I really mostly just want more of them tbh.  If you want an overarching theme—I would adore time travel here, even more than I normally do. Time loops especially are just… perfection.
 Matteo & Roxana & Sam & Tuma, January & Matteo & Roxana & Tuma & Sam:
Team fic! Team fic! Team fic!  For these two sets, I’d love something about the whole team—of course—doing team-y things. You could set it in the summer, before shit goes down in the climax; or you could set it after—they’re going after January, of course.  What happens when they finally catch up to her?  What do they do?  How do they all process the relevant emotions of having been betrayed?  Do we catch a redemption arc?
 Mike & Sam:
These two are such good friends!  I like their friendship a lot, and I’d love to see more of it.  Something fun would be pre-canon—how did they meet?  What led them to start their band?  How much traction does their band have, really? Or post-canon—even having forgiven her, it’s got to be a lot to deal with, your best friend turning out to not just be a princess, but a superhero princess, while you’re just… a groundskeeper’s son(?).
Eleanor, Eleanor & Sam, Catherine & Eleanor & Sam:
Family times!  There’s a lot of tension and secrets here, have been for a long time; tell me how they come to deal with it all and learn to live with each other better than they have been before the film—or give me backstory! How did things end up spiraling this far down?
 January & Sam:
I’d love to have something dealing with January’s PoV on the events of the film, or Sam’s PoV on January; more fun with secrets and betrayals!  (Fun for the audience at least; maybe less fun for these two though.) They got pretty close, after all—how did that have January feeling?  Did she second-guess herself over that?  How about Sam—she was the one betrayed by her new friend, after all.  If you want to see me talking more about just January, check out my Yuletide letter here.
 Worldbuilding:
Okay, so, I really did like this movie, so I say this affectionately, but… to call the worldbuilding here flimsy would be to, well, imply that it had bothered doing any worldbuilding whatsoever, and that’s not quite accurate, now is it?  To be clear, I do think this was probably a good decision, given that the movie is dedicated to superhero funtimes, not How The Hell Is This Happening, but it does leave me with so very many questions. For being a movie all about royalty, this movie is almost allergic to actually engaging any of the politics it hints at, what with the presented sides being “monarchy good” and “terrorism is fine actually”; if you want to write about the politics of the world these characters live in, by all means go ahead! For example, how did they manage to be a Western European absolute monarchy all the way to the present day?  I’d love to see that, or anything like it really, explored.  Other worldbuilding I’d be interested in includes an exploration of the “gene” which… somehow… manifests exclusively in second-born children of royal bloodlines—does this include bastard children?  What counts as a royal bloodline?  What happens when one of the superhero royal children has to ascend the throne?  Why only the second-born?  Is it really genetic at all, or is it some sort of magic?  If not magic, then wtaf is going on in the genetics of this world, I have to know more.

fandom-specific dnw: age gaps in ships of more than 3 or so years when one character is underage; predatory manipulation between characters in the relationship in service of the relationship–if characters are manipulating each other for non-relationship things and such that’s okay, but i’d rather both parties in any of the ships be interested in the romance of their own accord. Additionally, please don’t have characters react to any gender-disguised characters (or characters in general, but it’s most relevant to them) in transphobic or transphobic-adjacent ways (i.e. none of the characters are requested as trans, but I still wouldn’t want to see the kinds of comments people make about trans people aimed at them). I’d also rather not see any kind of serious relationship with at least one character disguising their gender pre-reveal of that disguise–flirting, starting to date a little is okay but if it’s going further please have them reveal it. Please don’t play into the idea of gender-disguised character as “trap”.
also dnw characters requested as gender-disguised to be written as trans or to be written as absolutely loathing their disguise. other characters are fair game. if writing trans characters, dnw them to be explicitly nondysphoric (but not addressing it is fine).
fandom-specific note: the “setting au” dnw obviously does not apply here; my typical “identity headcanon” au dnw has been replaced by a dnw for “marginalized identities as the main focus of a fic” since there isn’t exactly a canon here lol.
If you’re a lovely friend who wants to do treats, I’d be totally on board for art treats for this section; however, I haven’t requested them as actual fills.
 Prompts:
All of these are fun groupings that, I think, imply both setting and some amount of plot; but I’ll have some more specific prompts anyway.  Overall I like all sorts of settings; all of my requested pairs imply some amount of speculative elements in the setting, but beyond that it’s all up to you.  Just-left-of-modern?  Ancient China but with magic?  IN SPACE? Whatever you want to do, go for it.
Male Student Mage Disguised as a Girl &/Whoever:
Look, I’m a sucker for identity/disguise shenanigans, and I love gender disguises, and for all the books I read as a kid featuring girls disguising themselves as boys to do [insert restricted activity here], I never saw its natural inverse; this is a travesty and must be corrected for.  Anything playing into this whole trope/idea is just chef’s kiss, I promise you I’ll love it.
Child Superhero & Their Concerned Supervillain Nemesis:
Another favorite dynamic of mine!  I love supervillains getting tricked into that semi-parental role where they’re like “hang on I may be a supervillain and a criminal but you’re a child where are your parents what are you doing here,” it’s quite possibly the Best dynamic I have yet encountered in superhero fiction… even if I haven’t actually encountered it all that much.
 Spellsword Mercenary & Mathemagician:
Okay, I’ll admit that I mostly nominated and requested this for the pun potential.  But I think there’s also quite a lot of implicit lore you could really dig into; what kind of world is this, where magic can be imbued in or used through swords, but can also be related to mathematics?  Tell me more about it!  How do these two know each other?  Are they both shamelessly, pundamentally invested in wordplay as well as their actual jobs?  If you’re looking for more plot-implying ideas, I would be super down if you wanted to map this onto one of my other origfic requests (but no pressure lol).

America’s Most Eligible 3 Diamond Scene: McDermot’s
You turn to your wedding party with a grin. You: Since we’re all starving, what would you guys say to some McDermots? Our treat! Fiancée: Technically, it’s the studio’s treat… but the offer still stands! Han: That. Sounds. Awesome! You have no idea how long I’ve been craving chicken tenders. Bianca: Sure, why not? I’m hungry enough to eat one more carb at this point. Slater: More like fifty more carbs. Bianca: Shut up before I change my mind. Smiling and laughing, the ten of you hurry across the street and into McDermots.
The ten of you file into McDermots together, startling the handful of customers who are currently inside. You: Are you ready to feast? Omar: Not so fast. First, we need to get everyone in here to sign these NDAs. Fiancée: You really know how to suck the spontaneity out of things, don’t you? Omar: Just doing my job. While Omar and the crew pass out paperwork for the patron and employees to sign, you and your party grab a couple of tables. Eden: This is so exciting! I’ve always wondered what the inside of a McDermots was like. Han: You’ve never been to McDermots? Kiana: I’d expect nothing less from our resident rich girl. Eden: It has nothing to do with money! My parents were just very opposed to junk food. Slater: I hear ya. My mom was a total hippie growing up. She was all about clean eating.
You: Personally, I think… -A little junk never hurt anyone!
You: Honestly, I’d be happy if we could have McDermots catering at our wedding. Eden: You’re not serious, are you? Han: I hope they are! Bianca: Fiancée, please talk some sense into your fiancée. They’re clearly out of their mind. Fiancée: Hey, if it’s good enough for Jamie, it’s good enough for me.
-McDermots is a guilty pleasure.
You: Slater’s mom has the right idea. Pigging out is fun every once in a while, but fresh food is so much better. Slater: You say that now, but you’ve never experienced the pain of being a six-year-old who’s never had chicken nuggets. Kiana: Aw, poor baby Slater! Nuggets are the key to happiness. Officiant: And possibly heart disease. Fiancée: Shh. Let her have this.
Omar and a few crew members come up to the table with trays full of burgers, fries, nuggets, and milkshakes. Omar: Alright, everyone. The NDAs have been signed, so you’re officially free to chow down. Best Man: Finally. I’m starving! Kiana: I know exactly what to eat first. You all watch, stunned, as Kiana plucks a fry from the tray… and dips it into her chocolate milkshake. Eden: Babe. Seriously? Kiana: Don’t judge me! This is actually delicious. Han: She’s right. It’s like, the perfect blend of sweet and savoury. Kinda like Jamie and their fiancée! Han: …That sounded more romantic in my head. Eden: Han has a point though. You two are easily the best-matched couple I’ve ever met. You: That’s really sweet, you two. But my fiancée and I didn’t bring you here to talk about us!
You: We’re here to… -Celebrate you!
You: Everyone’s so focused on me and my fiancée, but we think you guys deserve more credit. Fiancée: They’re right. We’d be nothing without our kickass wedding party by our side! Kiana: Aww, you guys. Han: I promised myself I wouldn’t cry on camera… Officiant: Fiancée, Jamie… thank you for trusting us. It really means a lot.
-Chow down!
You: You guys wanted food, and we delivered! Fiancée: Yeah, everyone. Dig in before everything gets cold! Bianca: You don’t have to tell me twice. Slater: Seriously, though. Thanks for going out of your way to set this up for us. Officiant: This is Stacey and Eloise we’re dealing with. Whenever we need something, they make sure we get it.
Best Man: I’m with the officiant. This competition is about your wedding, but it’s great that the rest of us have a say too. Eden: You know what’s really great? This food. You look at Eden, who’s already finished one hamburger and is working on her second. Eden: I can’t believe I’ve been missing out on this incredible flavour my entire life! Han: Check it out. Eden’s experiencing fast food nirvana for the first time in her life. Kiana: I’m kinda worried we just created a monster. Your wedding party laughs as Eden continues eating, unfazed. Han plucks a handful of fires off the tray and shoves them in his mouth. Han: Man, this is the life. All the junk food we can eat, and we don’t even have to pay for it! Bianca: As long as you don’t mind stuffing your face on national television. Han: Eh, it’s a small price to pay. I’ll never get sick of AME. Han: Kinda bummed this is probably my last season… but at least we’re going out with a bang! Slater: I gotta admit, since this season is a wedding special, I was worried the rest of us wouldn’t get much screen time… Bianca: Always focusing on what really matters, huh? Slater: I’m just saying, it’s cool that Jamie and their fiancée let us share the spotlight a little!
You: Well, why wouldn’t we? -You’re as much a part of this show as we are.
You: Sure, the show is about winning out wedding, but they made it clear from the start that we need you to make it happen. You: Keeping you guys happy is literally my job, but even if it weren’t, I’d be glad to do it. Fiancée: Yeah. You’re not just out teammates, we also consider you our friends. Fiancée: And the way I see it, we’re all the stars of this season.
-Being in the spotlight 24/7 is exhausting!
You: If the cameras were focused on me and Eloise every hour of every day, I think I’d lose it. You: Sharing the spotlight gives you guys screen time, but it also gives us peace of mind. Fiancée: Seriously. You have no idea how helpful it is, knowing we’re not carrying the whole show on our backs. Fiancée: We’re the grateful ones in the situation. Without you guys, we’d be ridiculously stressed out.
You: Besides, we have to seize moments like this when we can. We really don’t get enough opportunities on this show to just goof off. Best Man: I think we could all benefit from letting our inner child out every now and again. You glance around the restaurant and your gaze falls on the play area. You: That gives me an idea. Follow me.
You and your wedding party step into the deserted play area. You: Who’s ready to have some fun? Han: I’m so game! Maid of Honour: This is gonna make for some really interesting footage. Officiant: Hey, we’re supposed to be showing America our fun side, right? Bianca: I don’t know. Aren’t we a little old to be jumping into ball pits? Slater: Aw, you heard the best man! It’s time to let your inner child out. Eden: Oooh, I always wanted to play on a playground like this! Mother never let me. She was worried about the germs. Kiana: Not gonna lie Eden… your childhood bums me out. You: Come on, guys! When are we going to get another opportunity to let loose like this before the wedding? I’ll go first.
You: … -Jump in the ball pit!
You back up a few steps, before taking a running leap into the ball pit. You: BALLS AWAYYYYYYY! One by one, your friends and party members jump in and join you, scattering plastic balls everywhere. Derek: Red alert, red alert! Dive, dive, dive! Derek buries himself in the balls, leaving just one hand extended upwards as a ‘periscope’. Eden: They’re so slippery, it’s almost like being in quicksand. Rainbow quicksand! Kiana: You okay over there, Han? Han: I’m good, I’m just not used to handling more than one ball at a time. It’s a little overwhelming. Jen giggles uncontrollably as Eloise and Lanzo bob up and down in the balls like prairie dogs. Slater: Think the staff will let me bring my board in and try surf these waves? Bianca: Waves? This is a tsunami! Might be too risky even for an experienced surfer like you.
-Go down the slide!
You climb up onto the platform and shoot down the slide, landing in the ball pit with a rattle of plastic orbs. You: Whooooo! Take that, gravity! Maid of Honour: Impressive…? You: If you think you can do better, you’re welcome to try. Laughing, everyone lines up on the platform to try going down the slide in different ways. Your maid of honour slides down headfirst. Bianca: My turn. Let’s make this interesting. Bianca positions herself sideways and rolls down the slide, while Han curls himself into a ball and tumbles down end over end. Han: Owwww! This wasn’t as graceful as I thought it would be! Giggling, Kiana and Eden sit down like they’re in a bobsled and slide down into the pit together. Kiana: Teamwork! Slater: Step aside and let me show you all how it’s done. Bracing his legs, Slater surfs down the slide standing up, landing gracefully in the pit. You: That is how you do it! Who’s next?
Before you know it, you’re laughing so hard your stomach hurts. Bianca: Okay, you got me. That was a lot of fun. Officiant: Sometimes you just have to let go of common sense. Eden: I was really missing out on McDermots. I had no idea fast food places could be so much fun! Best Man: Leave it to Jamie to show us the fun in even the most unexpected places. Han: I think you mean funexpected! Maid of Honour: Stop. Please. Before you ruin a perfectly good afternoon with puns. Kiana: This is giving me some killer wedding ideas. What if you have a slide at your reception? Fiancée: Oh yeah, I’d love to see Great-Aunt Gertrude barrel headfirst into a pit of plastic balls. +50 You: I’m gonna have to veto the slide idea, but I get what you mean, Kiana. If our wedding isn’t fun, then what’s the point? Fiancée: Couldn’t have said it better myself. Feeling happy and satisfied, you and your wedding party pile back into the limo and let it take you back to the mansion.

Scruff's Top 5 - Poppema Wedding/ Janssen Wedding
This past week was awesome, two more weddings in the books for the season. The 2019 season is almost over but that doesn't mean the work stops. Over the weekend I had the chance to see the end of an era and the start of a new chapter. I Traveled to a new location and made some connections with new vendors, this journey never ceases to amaze me. 10 years down and years more to come, i'm still learning, growing, curating my craft as an entertainer. Friday night I made my way to the Sheldon Crossroads Pavillion for the Hoekstra/Poppema wedding. Now, before I continue on the night's activities I must bring up that I had already done a combined 5 weddings between the two families. For the Hoekstra's I had celebrated all four of their boys tying the knot, and with the Poppema family I had did the groom's dad's wedding a few summers ago. So this night was truly a special one for me. I knew 90% of all the guests and after all this time it felt more like a family reunion instead of a wedding, and I was the distant cousin that came to bring the party to life. Kenli is Ken and Robbi Hoekstra's final child, the baby of them all and the only girl. She wore her grandmother's wedding dress, a 60 year old heirloom, brothers in her wedding party, parents married for over 20 years, her roots run deep of love. Dalton a man of ambition and strong parents for role models. A man that had to impress a father and four brothers to get to this point. Growing from just a childhood friend, to boyfriend, fiancé, and now a husband. You can tell he has the will to overcome any obstacle, these two were made to be together and it shows. The host and hostess Steve and Vonda took the reigns for the evening: dismissing tables for the meal, playing the shoe game, scavenger hunt, and being the master of ceremonies. It was different for me to sit in the backseat and just wait for the dance to get started. I did take some notes and watch how they interacted with the guests, there is always room for improvement and if something worked I wanna incorporate it. After the games, speeches, and special dances it was time for me to go to work. I played everything from the 80's to today's hits, doing my best to reach each generation and genre in the process. We had a great dancing and singing, but the real honor was watch the final chapter unfold. This was my last Hoekstra/Poppema wedding, no more kids to watch do their first dances for at least another 20 years, no more daddy daughter, mother son, it was surreal. Joy fills my heart knowing that I had the chance to celebrate with the two families, this is something money could never buy, this is one of the reasons why I do what I do. Saturday night I made my way to Gilmore City, IA. 20 miles south of Pocahontas to celebrate with Behrendsen and Janssen family on the union of Brittany and Colten. I was really worried about the settings of the reception, it had been raining off and on the whole day and the reception was to be held in a 100 by 40 ft. tent. Upon arrival I was put to ease when everything in the tent especially the ground was dry. The place was decorated quite nicely with white linens and candles, after setting up my equipment I helped light those candles and got ready for the guests to arrive. I was expecting a party with an open bar provided by the bride and groom, and the soft serve ice cream station for dessert. It seemed that these guys had all their bases covered for youthfulness and lots of folly. After a wholesome dinner, and heart filled speeches from the wedding party and the brides father it was time to get down. Brittany and Colten's first dance was sung by the bride's grandfather and brother, bringing this close to heart. After the rest of the special dances we continued the night with the bridal party dancing to The Git Up, and the groom doing the worm across the dance floor. We partied until around 1130 and I can say the floor was never empty. From the Shania Twain hits all the way to DaBaby and G-eazy, there was a group of people of the floor showing the world what they had. I had a few people inquire about some dates next year before packing up and making the 1.5 hour drive home. It was definitely a long weekend but one that was full of fun and laughter. I can't wait for my next set of weddings and events, let's keep em coming.

Sadie Sink on Fear Street and the power of Gen Z: 'My generation is very opinionated, and they're ready to build the world that they want to live in'
Our newest scream queen obsession!
BY SHEILLA MAMONA AND JOSH SMITH THURSDAY 12 AUGUST 2021
Sadie Sink’s achievements and power far outstrips her 19 years of age. Playing Maxine Mayfield in Stranger Things bought Sadie instant international fame, 14 million Insta followers and she has also already starred alongside the likes of Woody Harrelson in the movie, The Glass Castle and opposite Helen Mirren on stage in The Audience. Oh, and is a part time skateboarder too. This Texas born girl has got skills!
Now she adds Netflix’s new trilogy of horror movies, Fear Street to her bursting CV. Horror movies can, well, be horrific viewing at times. It’s rare to watch one which is not only makes you sh*t yourself with nerves but also gets you thinking about the world we actually live in. That was until Netflix dropped this trilogy.
Based on the books by Goosebumps (90s babies are shacking, now that’s a flashback) author, RL Stine Fear Street follows a group of high schoolers over a trilogy of movies the first in 1994, then 1978 and 1666 attempting to not only solve a murder mystery but a 351 year long curse on the middle American town of Shadyside.
Whilst there is gore galore, at the film’s heart is the queer love story between Deena and Sam, played by Kiana Maderia and Olivia Welch respectively, a love story rarely seen in a horror movie or rather ANY mainstream movie. And in the second movie, Fear Street 1978 the relationship between Sadie’s Zadie and her sister, Cindy is the centre of the drama as the curse comes to the summer camp in Shadyside and her campmates become possessed. Just another summer day then?
As the native Texan prepares to get her scream on, she opens up to GLAMOUR about coming of age, dealing with the horrors on screen, the horrors of adulting off screen (hard relate) and finding her voice…
The Fear Street trilogy is epic! What was your own onset horror story?
I had the most fun filming these movies but there were a lot of scenes where things got really intense and it was late at night. The biggest moment was one of those final scenes where, ‘bad things are happening.’ I was all bloody, I was laying in the grass, it was like 3:00 AM, and I just thought, ‘these are not good circumstances! I feel very physically uncomfortable, but I am having the best time ever! I feel gross and disgusting, but I could not be having more fun.’
Friendship is such a strong theme in Fear Street and how it can quite literally save us. How has friendship saved you?
Friendship is so important! Having friends that are real friends that know you and have your best interest at heart is really important - it's hard to find those people, but I have some really incredible people in my life that I trust and rely on. Especially in this industry, when things start to pick up and get really crazy and overwhelming, it's just so nice to have someone to FaceTime at the end of the day, just talk to and vent with. I'm lucky to have some amazing people in my life that I can do that with.
Fear Street must have been so intense to film. How do you look after your mental wellbeing and what have been some turning points in that journey for you away from filming?
When things get really intense and overwhelming on set, massages are great, calling my mom is great or just like watching Schitt's Creekat the end of the day - that's great! It’s really important to take a breath and calm down, especially when you're putting yourself in the elements with shows like Stranger Things and with movies like Fear Street, it gets really intense.
Stranger Things and Fear Street both share a similar storyline of discovering your ‘self.’ What have been some turning points in that journey for you?
I think when I turned 18, and then was working as an adult in this industry that's when things really changed for me. Now I'm 19 and I'm living in Atlanta without parents and working on my own - it's been a huge adjustment, just working as a child actor and the strict hours, you have to have a guardian, and your parents are always with you. Going from that to learning how to work as an adult, dealing with being on your own and taking care of yourself, that's been a huge turning point. But also it's proven to me that I can do this, I'm ready and it makes me hopeful for my future.
What have you learned about your own power and how has your perception of your own power changed?
I think definitely growing up in this industry when you're starting out as a kid, at least for me, I've always been very timid, even with things like interviews when I was first being introduced into that world and I was very timid and very nervous. Then as I've become more comfortable with it, you start to find your voice and get in the groove of things. That is really empowering for me, just to see how far I've come and how much more of a voice I feel like I have now compared to when I first started out. You can see it, looking back at videos of myself acting or in interviews when I was younger, compared to where I am now, it's amazing to see that self-growth is just all captured on camera, on the internet, everywhere.
What was maybe the biggest adulting challenge for you in that journey?
It's just the little things! I can do dishes, I can do laundry, I'm good with all of that, but (with) driving, it was really nice to have my mom when she would drive me places! I knew how to drive at one point, but then I just threw that out the window, I don't do that anymore. We're learning as we go!
I love that Fear Street heroes characters who would have usually been killed off in the first minute or first scene. It flips labels and stereotypes, too. What stereotypes have been placed on you in your own life that you have had to shake off?
I try not to think about what people are labeling me as, but the only really face-to-face experience I've ever had with that is when Stranger Things started to blow up and being at school still, dealing with kids, how they treated you a little bit differently. And not treating you as the person that you've always been, but treating you as this, ‘new actress who's on this really cool show.’ That was an adjustment!
It’s interesting that the trilogy covers three very different periods and shows how sexism has always been so prominent. What surprises you about how much further we still have to go?
Watching these movies in the way they deal with the strong female characters and how they were treated, and then also the Sam and Dina relationship and how that was viewed, shows definitely that we've come a very long way. I think there's still a lot of work to be done, but luckily, I feel like my generation, they're very opinionated and they're ready to build the world that they want to live in in the future. That gives me hope, and hopefully a lot of adults and kids hope as well.I think we all have a lot to learn from each other, it's just a matter of really listening.
If you could go back to the start of filming Fear Street and give yourself one bit of advice, what would it be?
I would probably tell her, ‘Be sure to stretch, really take care of yourself, start running, keep that stamina up!’ But then also, I would say, ‘Things are going to get really intense, but also you're going to make the best memories of your life on this and you're going to have a really incredible summer, so it's worth every tear, every drop of sweat!”
Fear Street 1978 is available to watch now on Netflix

FLASHBACK: Jakarta, Indonesia
ISAIAH: This is not his first time that Graham invited him to join the oldest children's annual meeting in every family. A nurturing environment made by Hiram resulted to makes him conscientious every time he turned up to Jakarta to fulfilled his grandfather's every expectation. During the trip, Isaiah never stops thinking about his performance to show up throughout his studies at MIT. He has to fortify his position in the family but has nothing to eager the blood.
A few hours later, Isaiah's plane touches down at the airport then makes his way to the car. In the car, on the way to the mansion, his private servant gives out an idea.
"Should I talk about that? Pointless."
KIANA: “Miss Kiana, I’m afraid you’ll hurt your cheekbones if you keep grinning like that.” The young lady emitted a clear laugh upon hearing the butler's words. The kind of laughter that will brighten up your mood even on the worst of a day.
“I couldn’t help it, Alfred. I’m so happy to know that I get into my dream university, ” her voice a fraction softer. Kiana has been anxious about her college submission. She was confident at first, but then she found out that the University of Southern California decrease its acceptance rate, which means an international student like her have a lower chance to get in. It was so hard to convince Graham that studying communication instead of business is a better selection for her. There’s no way Graham will continue to let Kiana make her own education choices if she fails the only chance he gave her.
But today, that fat acceptance letter finally came. The moment she lay her eyes on it, Kiana could felt her heart skipped a beat and her head got lighter. Her name is written boldly and proudly on the paper.
Not long after she got her hand on the acceptance letter, Graham Lee summoned her for a meeting. Alfred, the head of butler who delivered the news, aided Kiana to the room her grandfather chose to hold the meeting.
”It’s the annual meeting for the first-born, Miss Kiana,” Alfred added. She nodded as their enter the main hallway of The Lees Mansion. Kiana never felt this kind of excitement when her grandfather requests a family meeting. Aside from special occasions like Christmas Dinner or weekend cruising in Bahamas, just like all of her cousins, she tried to keep the encounter minimum.
But today is different. She. Got. Into. Her. Dream. Universe.
Kiana bit her bottom lip and refrain herself from screaming out of excitement. She doesn’t remember exactly how many times she glanced at the letter. Kiana sure it’s already more than ten times, but she does it again anyhow. That was when Alfred faltered in his steps. ”Oh, I forgot to tell you something, Miss,” he remarked. They were only a few steps away from the room when Alfred suddenly stops walking. It annoyed Kiana that the man is slowing her down. Doesn’t he notice that telling Graham the acceptance news is an important agenda for her?
”Tell me, Alfred!” she chimed rather impatient.
”Isaiah is coming home.” His lips curled into a thin smile, and as if on cue, Kiana squealed like a little girl.
“Why didn’t you tell me sooner?!!”
”My apology for—” Alfred couldn't finish his words because the young lady left her to strode the hallway.
Alfred saw Kiana looking so happy. Well, maybe today is about feeling and witnessing all the things one never had before.
Acceptance letter. And Isaiah.
She already arranged numerous plans for how they’re going to spend the weekend. Brunch at Isaiah’s favorite restaurant, horse riding, movie date, and so on. A perfect weekend for the two of them.
Kiana and her favorite man in the family.
It’s unusual for Kiana not to knock before opening a door at The Lees Mansion. Especially when she knows Graham is the man behind the door. When she successfully swings open the heavy wooden door, Kiana called out a name that lit up her every nerve on fire.
”Cassius?!”
ISAIAH: Isaiah arrives on the terrace with a lot of thought in his mind. The idea of his private servant to talk about his participation in volunteering. But, it does not support the central vision of Graham to excel in business. After all, after him being accepted in MIT Sloan. He not sure about what else to brag about in the meeting.
Another idea of his private servant gave is about his current closeness with a friend, Anastasia, which he supposes is another pointless mark to be served. Even though their closeness is worth brag since her family was all known in the United States and academically, she is a top honor in Harvard. But, talking about this might end up raising Graham's expectation about him having a partner anytime soon. So, he wouldn't talk about this at all.
He spends a few minutes moving along the lines before he ends up at the huge mansion that he supposes to call home, but as always, it feels like a throne of judgment. A maid serves him a cup of coffee in a tray as he takes a few minutes to rest after the long exhausting thought. A while later, the sound of Kiana echoes through the room, calling his first name. The sign of weariness that appears a moment later swiped away through her arrival as his eyes glanced immediately toward Kiana and flashed a smile.
"You come? Any good news?"
KIANA: Kiana knows that she looks silly right now, but being under the same roof with Isaiah completely overwhelmed. She couldn’t wipe the stupid grin off her face. Being part of The Lee means you must always be the best amongst your peers. The expectations the elders set for the kids are unbelievably high, and people from outside their family don’t understand the struggle Lee’s heir is going through. No. Sometimes not even her cousin could understand what kind of burden their grandfather put upon the firstborn of the family. But just like any other bad things in life, one could always find the good thing from an unfortunate fate. Isaiah and Kiana bonded through their struggle.
That’s the reason why Isaiah's presence brings so much joy to her.
“Guess what comes to the mailbox today!” she chimed full of glee. Kiana plopped to the sofa next to Isaiah before handing him the heavy, brown envelope. She darted her gaze between Isaiah and the envelope. “I give you a clue. I’m going to Cali.”
“You’ll be so proud of me once you read this,” she declared confidently with her gaze fixed on his... -and their eyes met. And her big hazel eyes stared at him adoringly.
No matter how hard Graham tried to create a competition between his two eldest grandchildren, Isaiah always managed to find a way to let Kiana know that he is her friend rather than her opponent. As far as Kiana could remember, Isaiah had always been someone she looked up to. The way he never showed fear no matter how hard the challenge he had to face as the oldest grandson and hire of The Lee is the fuel that keeps Kiana going. He is her reason never to give up.
That’s Isaiah to her.
ISAIAH: The silences upon his empty chamber suddenly filled with an indescribable feeling. But one thing he was so sure of, it was a fine one. Kiana, as expected, successfully to bring down all the tense expectancy that his grandfather demand among the firstborns for a while.
People don't have to remind him how these forbidden feelings are slowly growing within him. He knew and always knew about this better than anyone.
Just for a moment, let him relish the presence of Kiana, just, for now, Kiana as a whole to him.
Isaiah adjusts his position to move upfront to face Kiana before received the letter. He doesn't have to tear open the letter, easily his finger could take up the letter while putting the paper away but nearby.
"Congratulation! I am pleased to offer you admission to the University of Southern California." He slowly recites everything in the letter. "Damn, that's where you're going? Cali?" He exclaimed. Eyes widen. Hearts open. "Congratulation." Isaiah's hands fondle her hair. Other than being discouraged with his situation by now, he feels so proud.
"God, you will—" Before he finishing the sentences, the arrival of Graham successfully shut him down in a blink of an eye.
Crap.
KIANA: ”Am I interrupting something?”
The younger turned her ahead to the direction of a low baritone voice that interrupted Isaiah. On the contrary to her cousin’s worried expression, the corners of her lips are curled heavenward and her eyes filled with joy. She usually gets nervous at every first-born meeting for Graham always demand an achievement announcement or at least report progress of their current project.
But tonight might be one of the night she’d earn praises from her grandpapa.
“Isaiah..” she softly uttered while she took the brown envelope from his hands. Anyone in the room could tell that she couldn’t wait any longer to tell her grandfather about the acceptance.
“No!” She chimed full of glee, “you didn’t interrupt anything, grandpapa.”
That’s HOW MUCH of a self-centered person she is. Deep down, she knew that Isaiah has a lot going on inside his head, yet she refused to adjust and go for what she wanted. Without a second glance, she strode across the room and sat on the arm of the couch where Graham sit.
He probably had heard about the news from his team that is keeping track of each family member. But Kiana knows better than anyone that she’s a good storyteller and Graham is the biggest fan of her accomplishment tales. He’d love to be reminded about his overachiever granddaughter day and night, over and over again.
Her heart pounds against her rib cage. Excitement went through her veins.
”I hope you’re not bad at a long-distance relationship because I’m going to California.” She declared in a cocky-cute voice.
Letting out a breath, she settled her back on the couch and looked down at her hands. A smile formed on her cherry-colored lips as she admires the ring on her right index finger.
Her mom gave it to her on the day of the entrance exam. She said the crystal would bring good luck to her life. And her mother wasn’t wrong at all.
”They even offered a full-ride scholarship?” She drifted her attention back to Graham. ”Yes. And I’ll be giving the speech at the faculty party as an outstanding freshman.” Just when Graham thought his golden child couldn’t impress him further, Kiana proves him wrong.
”But are you okay with staying at the dorm for one semester?” ”Do you want me to talk to the faculty and arranged the condition?” Oh, how easy her life is.
Her lips were pressed into a thin line for a moment. She was hesitant about sharing a room with a stranger she never met before.
”Well...” she’s unsure about whether she should say the next words or not. ”It’s okay. I’ll manage. It’d be an interesting experience to know how middle-class kids live.” But she said it anyway. Kiana's description of how living in a dorm room is equal to a social experiment elicits a laugh from her grandfather.
”You never cease to bring joy into my life, sweet child.”
He said with a wide smile on his wrinkle face.
ISAIAH: The moment his grandfather presents a wide smile on his wrinkled face, it irritated him, somehow, but he never angry because it is Kiana, the reason why his grandfather made his lips drawn smiles. However, he later regretted being irritated for her achievement because he has nothing to be shown off to his grandfather.
"I believe you didn't sit there without having anything to tell me, right?" He was gazing at Isaiah with those wistful and sharp eyes.
"I have nothing to say, Father." He said. Willful enough to make declarations which his grandfather loath to listen to it. However, it didn't make Graham stop digging into his situation.
"How about university life?"
"Everything went well. I excels in everything."
"That boring."
"I know."
He found the situation preposterous. All his life has been devoted to the family, never lack for a single bit to make them proud. He knew that this wasn't right for asking praises in this family. But maybe a thank you won't hurt. He has been in Kiana's place, but he didn't get the commend still. As if getting into MIT Sloan was easy.
And now, he has nothing to say because everything went perfectly. But, for Graham, perfect doesn't mean enough.
"Then you shouldn't be here." Graham said. A small part of him felt relieved somehow; yes, perhaps he should leave.
KIANA: She once read about what favoritism is.
The term is pretty self-explanatory, but the article said that the correct definition would be "favoring someone not because they're doing a great job but for reasons outside of their achievement." But it doesn't explain the treatment Isaiah received from their grandfather just now.
If anything, the man who's sitting across the table, is an absolute overachiever. Isaiah aced in so many things and got into MIT Sloan without the family's help.
He's more than capable than Graham believes.
Or perhaps, the bias occurs because Graham and Kiana have developed a friendship through their similar interests. Party, spotlight, luxury, they both valued those things which Isaiah has zero interest in.
Amongst her cousins, Kiana is seemingly the only one looking forward to showing up at parties and business gatherings their grandfather forced them to attend.
“It’s in my blood. I got it from you, grandpapa,” that’s what she always said. But that still doesn't justify how Graham treated Isaiah.
The man dedicated his spare time to fly back home, and (supposedly) the least his family can do is not to treat him like shit.
"Grandpapa, I planned to take Isaiah to our new country house and-" Graham cut her off, and she couldn't do anything but stare at Isaiah with a tearful gaze.
"Don't even bother. He doesn't deserve leisure time." He said it so calmly while sitting stoically on the couch. "But grandpapa!" Kiana mustered up her last courage and got off for her seat. "He is visiting us! His family," her voice is shaking when she tried to stress the word 'family.' The fact that they have to beg for decency from their grandfather is far from the concept of family Kiana knows. Does the word 'family' she just said cringed Isaiah the way it did to Kiana?
"Isa deserves to get some rest.” ”I’m taking him to our clubhouse.”
ISAIAH: 'As the future heir of the Lee, you shouldn't let yourself loosen up even for a minute.' That's what's his father always said to him, with a high tone, right at the exact moment he went it right now. The apple doesn't fall far, but he will never get used to it. The indignity after all the hard work to shape himself better than anyone around him. He deserves the praise above all. His tearful eyes turned into a furious stare, and his eyes redden with hands holding a fistful of outrage toward his grandfather as if he was ready to beat his aged face in second.
"You mad? Really? Isaiah?"
His breath getting heavier, heavier.

This chapter takes place a bit before, during, and a bit after Iron Man 3.
Kiana pulled her hair behind her ear as she stared at the door quietly, sighing and lifting her hand to knock against it anxiously; she wondered if he would even answer. There was a minute or so of silence before she could hear shuffling inside and footsteps towards the door. It opened up to a disheveled Tony Stark, but not in the ‘I just had sex’ way she might have expected. He didn’t look like he had just woken up from a night of fun or the likes, but rather… he looked almost… afraid? Her chest tightened, recognizing the oh so familiar look immediately. “Hello? Oh… Hi.” “Kiana.” “Hm?” he questioned quickly. “My name is Kiana. Everyone calls me Kiki.” “Oh… Well, what brings you here, Kiki?” he seemed to straighten himself up a bit as she stood there, brushing through his hair with his fingers and adjusting his shirt so it fit on him a little better. “I was hoping that maybe I could sit down and talk?” She offered a small smile, fidgeting with the edge of her shirt. “Sure, but I dunno what you’d wanna talk to me about.” He held his arm out, gesturing for her to come inside, letting her walk in first before closing the door. She made her way over to the couch and sat down, patiently waiting for him. Tony put himself down in a chair across from her, leaning forward a bit while resting his hands in his lap. “So…” she began, extending the length of the sounds for both the s and o. “So.” “What’s up?” That was the dumbest question she could have asked at the current moment in time. It didn’t relate to anything she actually wanted to talk about, let alone give any sort of actual reasoning as to why she came. A heavy sigh heaved from her chest, licking her bottom lip as she struggled to form her thoughts into audible words. Her brows knitted together, opening her mouth a couple of times only to close it once again. “Do you know what a panic attack is?” she finally managed to get out. His own brows arched slightly as her eyes met with his, pursing his lips in brief thought, “You mean… like when people start to freak out… and rock back and forth? Screaming or crying kind of thing…?” “That’s the neurotypical way to talk about it, Tony,” she gave a soft smile, “panic and anxiety attacks are different per person. For instance... some people end up crying uncontrollably, struggling to breathe, shaking, chest tightening, while their thoughts are racing yet not making any sense. While for some… they struggle to move, the world seems like a blur, slurred speech, nothing happened but everything’s wrong... ” Her words held a certain tone to them, swallowing harshly as she avoided eye contact with him. “That sounds like it’s from personal experience,” he said, his tone a bit softer than his normal snarky one. She sighed, looking back in his direction, “Yes. I personally experience panic attacks, as well as anxiety attacks. Let me tell you, just the two different emotions cause severely different reactions… The first I described was how I experience a panic attack… while the second is how I experience an anxiety attack...” He paused, staring down at his hands and taking a minute to think over what she had explained to him. It… sounded so familiar, but different. What she said resonated with him on a level he didn’t expect it to. “I’m sorry…” he finally responded. “For what?” “I’m sorry you’ve had to go through something to cause that…” “It kind of happens when you experience trauma… One thing that’s caused mine have been near death experiences… So I… I kind of know how you might feel…” she gave an awkward smile. “To be fair, I’m sorry for what you’ve been through… I know you’ve lost a lot and almost died a number of times… Aside from my near death experiences… I’ve had a decent life growing up, but I know no matter how hard you try, mental problems tear you up without hesitation.” “I see… What’s all this about, though?” he asked, curious to get down to the point. She was here for a reason, but he wanted to know why. “I guess... I just wanted to let you know that you have someone to talk to when you’re feeling overwhelmed… I’m not a therapist, but I am a good listener.” “Well,” Tony began, standing up, “I appreciate the sentiment, but I don’t need it. If I do, I’ll keep that in mind.” He extended out his hand, offering to help her up as he added in, “In the meantime, care for lunch?” “At least you’ll consider it,” she sighed. She reached up and took his offer, pulling herself to her feet. “Lunch sounds great,” she smiled.
I… I tried talking to Tony, but he’s definitely not willing to open up and talk about his problems… not yet, at least… I just hope he realizes he needs to talk to someone about all of this before something stupid happens, since that seems to be a common theme with him… I suppose I’ll have to keep an eye on him for the time being, just to see how he’s faring...
It was shortly after Tony taunted the Mandarin on television, giving out his home address that he received a call from an unfamiliar number. “Hello, I don’t remember giving my number out to blocked ID.” His tone was snarkier than normal, a little more than annoyed at the current moment. “Oh shut it with the snarkiness, Tony! Why the hell did you give out your address like that?! I’ve already set up a safe house for you and Pepper to go to, and I’ll be sending an agent to come help with picking up your things!” her tone was mostly annoyed, with undertones of concern. “Don’t even bother, Kiana,” he grunted, clearly annoyed, “I’m not leaving and that’s final.” “You’re going to get yourself killed, you stupid piece of--” *click* He put his phone on silent, rolling his eyes and continuing his drive home.
Kiana glared forward, mouth agape as she was in the midst of talking, anger boiling inside of her veins. She gripped her phone tightly and threw it against the nearby couch, letting out a muffled scream. “That stupid little… AUGH. I’m gonna kick his snarky little prideful ass from California all the way to New York!!!”
I haven’t heard from Tony since the phone call, but I’ve been paying close attention to everything revolving around him. Dummy always rushes off when his emotions get the better of him. I just hope that he doesn’t do anything to get Pepper in serious trouble, or anyone else for that matter. I hope he comes to his senses soon…
“I’ve been getting migraines since I’ve been on these new pills… Do you think I should get that checked out?” Kiana rubbed her forehead, taking a pain reliever with water. “That depends, is it a serious side effect of the pills?” Sammy mumbled while munching on a strawberry. “I dunno.” “You should see if it is, if it isn’t serious I’m sure it’ll go away. If it’s not a side effect at all, you might wanna go in. Strawberry?” Kiana sighed and took the fruit that had been offered, biting down into half of it as she silently contemplated on what to do. There was a short pause as the two sat in silence, thinking or reading over their own different things. “What’re the pills for?” Sammy finally piped up again. “Depression.” She sighed. “About time. I thought I was going to have to bathe you in alcohol.” “Shut up,” she rolled her eyes, “I was forced to go on a temporary leave after pushing myself too far mentally. I saw a psychiatrist and I’m now in therapy. I just… never had time before.” Sammy sat up and shoved another strawberry into Kiana’s mouth, “bullshit. You were just afraid to get help.” Kiana coughed and struggled to swallow the strawberry, “so are cough you!” “... That’s different.” “You don’t have to be afraid of him…” “I’m not afraid! He’s my dad! I have to listen to what he says!” “Sammy…” Before Sammy had a chance to respond to her, there was a knock on the door. Kiana sighed and stood up, walking over to the door and opening it. On the other side of it was a messy Tony, not disheveled and stressed out like the last time she saw him. “Can we talk?” his eyes peered in towards Sammy then back at Kiana, suggesting they go somewhere else. “Uhm… sure…” she quickly told Sammy that she would be back a bit later, getting a raised eyebrow from her in response. She then turned back towards Tony and walked out the door, closing it behind her and falling him towards somewhere with more privacy. The walk was silent as he led her to another room, Tony flippin on the light and swiftly closing the door and blinds. “I didn’t know we were on these terms,” she half joked, trying to break through the awkward silence. “You were right,” he responded rather quickly with a sigh, “what I did was incredibly stupid and I almost lost Pepper. Both you and Pepper wanted me to leave, but I was too stubborn to agree. I-I…” She gently put a hand on his shoulder, looking up at him with a soft smile, “You didn’t lose Pepper. I think this is just a harsh lesson that needed to be learned. I know you’re never going to be done with the tinkering, but… maybe just take it a step down on the reckless behavior. Use this,” she poked his head, “to reason out this.” She lightly pressed her hand over his heart. “I guess you’re right… Maybe I should take you guys out for dinner.” “So Pepper and I can make fun of you?” He pursed his lips in thought, laughing softly, “Maybe not then.” “I’m kidding! I dunno about Pepper, but I am always on my best behavior,” she stroke an ‘innocent’ pose causing him to shake his head and laugh. “Alright, alright. I’ll send someone to pick you up later,” he opened the door of the room and offered for her to exit first. She strode up to the doorway, stumbling a little, Tony catching her before she had a chance to fall. “You okay?” his brows arched, looking down at her concernedly. “Yeah… I’m just on some new medication. I always get a little weird when I start something new…” “Alright… Just make sure you take care of yourself, got it? We’ll need you around if the world needs saving again.” He winked at her, forcing her to stare quietly at him. The twinkle in his eyes made her realize as she gently punched his chest. “You did not!” “I did. You didn’t strike me as British… or blonde for that matter.” “Oh god, shut up. We’re not talking about that ever again, got it?” She grunted and stood up straight, leaving the room. “How much can you drink before you get drunk?” “I don’t drink, Tony, nice try.” “Really? You should try it makes my life a lot more tolerable,” he chuckled as he closed the door behind him. He walked her back to where she was hanging with her friend before messing her hair up before reminding her of when she needed to be ready by to be picked up. “Yeah, yeah, whatever, dad,” she scoffed, stifling a giggle. “That kind of talk is saved for the bedroom, so~ unless you want to convince Pepper to try being poly…--” “Stop. Anyway, go on before I kink shame you.” She held her hands up in an attempt to shoo him. “So rude, I wouldn’t kink shame you.” “You’ll never know my kinks, so that’s fine.” With each response, Tony got a little further down the hallway, until he finally said “Challenge accepted, then!” from the other end of the hall. This only caused her to shake her head, murmuring ‘oh my god’ under her breath. She went back in the room to find three pizzas on the table with one open next to Sammy, a few slices missing. “Who is buying this time?” she sighed, knowing that she probably spent around thirty to forty bucks. Sammy looked at the card, squinting to read it. “Robert Smith. Remember when I went to the store yesterday? Yeaahh.” “You make a decent amount of money… I have no idea why you feel the need to steal.” “Iunno,” she shrugged, “Two of those are for you, though. Some for now and some for later. I got your favorite~” “That’s like four meals for me.” “Then some for breakfast and lunch tomorrow. Anyway, I heard you’re going on a date with Tony?” Her brows arched, munching on the slice that was currently in her hand. “You said you couldn’t stand him.” “Ohmahgod. First of all, how dare you. Secondly, he’s taken. Third of all, he’s old enough to be my dad. Fourth, well… he’s not a terrible person…” “Hey, ya never know. I know a lot of people younger than you who wanna do all sorts of crazy things with Thor, who’s even older than Tony.” “We’re through with this conversation, Sammy,” before the other could respond, a different piece of pizza floated into her mouth and successfully stopped her from talking for a short while.

Chapter Reviews: April 23-27, 2019
Wishful Thinking Chapter 3:
So far, it's mildly enjoyable. I enjoy investigating Tilly and finding out that she has kept a menagerie of animals after getting mixed up with animal traffickers. Pity I couldn't adopt her cat Jinx because I'd love to see the MC hear an animal's thoughts on a regular basis.
Still miffed at the MC's dad for doubting his daughter's capabilities. I get that he's concerned for her, but because she's an adult, he's practically hindering her from reaching her full potential. I mean, she just became junior reporter after that moment with Tilly, so he shouldn't be worried.
Anyway, let's see how Jaime reacts to the MC having the ability to read minds.
High School Story: Class Act Chapter 11:
Why didn't MC and Skye use their phones to record footage of Lorenzo and Amber talking about how they staged Lorenzo's heroic act? That would've saved them the effort to expose Lorenzo for the fraud he is. I guess they aren't crazy prepared after all.
So Danielle's back and suggesting that Rory kidnap the kitten. That's just too risky and dumb. To be honest, I consider her neutralized instead of redeemed, but then again, she had Amber fund the play just for Rory's sake. It was stupid of Rory to nearly consider that offer as well.
Honestly, how dumb is Lorenzo? Campaigning to divert all school resources to throwing parties not only shows skewed priorities in his part, but also comes across as a moot point. After all, the school staff will just nullify his platform if he wins. What made me cringe is that these students act like the student council is more powerful than the principal and teachers. Even worse is when Myra dropped out from the running after receiving a shirt from Lorenzo.
Man, it's so awesome to see Skye urging Rory and the twin to cooperate together. Seriously, I've had enough of this election drama, especially when the most popular candidate will ruin the school. Even worse is that it ruins the purpose of this reboot, which contains the words "Class Act", yet there's no focus on preparing for a play aside from Rory's campaign to strengthen the arts.
Across the Void Chapter 19:
Wow! That was an intense chapter that really captured my entire interest. Evading the Void's patrols through disguise and then destroying their ships was awesome, to say the least. Now it's just up to the MC and the Atlas crew to put a stop to the Void.
Man, Quandry is one walking nightmare. The way he behaves and tortures Zekei scares me so much. I thought he might go after Aquari because she's a minor character, but going after Deimos? Man, that's just scary. I spent diamonds to save her life, mainly because she's growing on me. Nevertheless, it's well done, and I just can't help but praise the writers for punching my guts in this scene by aiming for a character growing on me.
America's Most Eligible Chapter 15:
This is it, huh? Honestly, I'm disappointed at Pixelberry's mishandling of this story by not making relationships affect dialogue. I get that it means spending more time and resources and putting more effort, but considering Pixelberry's history of mismanagement, can't say I'm surprised.
Still miffed that I have to pay diamonds to get Eden and Kiana together. Why can't you do this on your own, Eden? As much as I like her and Kiana, their lack of free will just makes me question the credibility of the diamonds and keys system.
Picking the flirty choices during the quiz on how much I know my partner is fun, especially when Ivy complains about how my MC turns everything into a speech about how sexy and gorgeous he is. It was the only part of the story that I enjoy, though I also can't wait for this book to end.
Nightbound Chapters 1-2:
This is off to a good start so far. I cringed a little when the male MC faces were recycled from TE because they look too young for a 25 year old, but the story's setup makes up for it. I was scared when Kristin got attacked by a bloodwraith that is magnificently terrifying. And the encounter with supernatural beings like Vera got me curious on the setting even more. I like Garrus, Krom, and Ivy so far, and I hope to see more of them as the series progresses.
I picked Face 3 for Nik, and he looks good. I still find him rather fishy because of him not saying much about his job as a hunter. Anyway, let's see how this goes, and it better not disappoint me.
Passport to Romance Chapter 7:
On one hand, it's true Ahmed's coach is a jerk, but on the other hand, could he actually go to the nearest airport and fly himself and his friends to Berlin? That would've saved precious time. Honestly, this stop at Lucerne comes across as a mere ploy to add more screen time for Elliot just because the creators love giving details on him for free while paywalling others. It's a disingenuous self-fulfilling prophecy that drives all kinds of players other than the ones you're targeting away.
Speaking of Elliot, on one hand, I feel bad that he's struggling to get through the grief of losing his parents last year. Nevertheless, my opinion of him is still the same because while it explains his objection to Ahmed and Sumire making jokes at the catacombs, he still has yet to decide whether to improve or worsen, and it has to be done in a logical way. Not to mention that he has no excuse because of his status as the writer's favorite.
Honestly, what is wrong with this MC? Forgetting to ask your friends for their last names is one thing, but snooping on their private stuff without asking for their permission is a whole another level. They should've asked Elliot for permission first, but no. Let's just invade his privacy and rummage through his stuff. In the meantime, I'm amused to see that Bartholomew Chambers's face has been recycled for Elliot's brother.
Open Heart Chapter 11:
Wow! This chapter is intense. First Dr. Banerji coughs blood, a sign that his life hangs in the balance. Next, Mrs. Martinez says she wanted to travel but couldn't because of her Rhodes disease. Finally, Kyra reveals that her cancer's back and initially decides to just ditch chemo because she thought her cancer will come back anyway. I admire the MC's determination to treat their patients and do whatever it takes to get them better, and the team work their friends.
One thing that I'm still curious about is when will the investigation on the saboteur resume. Between the patients and Panacea Labs's shadiness, that might be the reason why it's on the sidelines.
I'm proud of Kyra's ultimate decision to go through chemo and not give up any hope for survival. That's the spirit. Definitely have a huge respect for her.
Ride or Die Chapter 15:
I finally caved in and spent diamonds on having my MC reconcile with her dad. Well, the dad still believed that the MC must answer for what she has done, regardless of whether I picked the premium option, but I'm still glad they have one last talk before she goes out to get back on Shaw.
The driving sequence was pretty intense, and I was nervous that the MC might end up at a disadvantage. It seemed like that at first, but I was impressed at her laying a trap for the Brotherhood with Toby and Ximena's help. Still keeping an eye on Mona and what she'll do.
For the very first time, I'm actually excited to see what will happen next. It doesn't mean I like this story, but at least it does grab my attention that I'm excited for what will happen next.
The Elementalists Chapter 7:
This story continues to be the highlight of my Saturdays (I'm more than half a day ahead from where I'm at :P). First, I'm worried for Atlas and their outbursts for anger and hope they get help as soon as possible. Second of all, the MC and Atlas attuned to all elements was a huge curveball. I thought my MC's personality will change from being like an Air-att, but it was a relief that it won't change. Third, I messed up with Alma training my MC to prevent themselves from suffocation. Kane's method of suffocating air out of people's lungs reminds me of Avatar: The Legend of Korra, specifically the third season big bad Zaheer using his airbending to kill by bending air from one's lungs.
Lake Tempetua looks so beautiful I hope to see it again in a future chapter. It was also fun to see my MC and their friends having fun during the party. Not to mention that I had my MC kiss Cyran because I'm still trying to figure out who my MC will date. Now that I finally get to encounter merfolk, I'm wondering whether there's at least one non-human race that corresponds to a certain element. I might be wrong, though.
Wood nymphs=wood
Djinn=moon
Merfolk=water
Satyr=?
The scene where the MC attacks Atlas shocked and horrified me. I was certain that the choice I picked was the mildest, only for the MC to severely injure their twin. Talking about a curveball on my part. I'm becoming even more worried at what might happen and when Kane will strike back.

Iranians stranded by US ban tell of jobs at risk and families in disarray
Some say border guards asked for social network passwords along with other personal information
Iranians have responded to Donald Trumps executive order with shock and anger amid growing international outrage at the entry ban on people from Muslim-majority countries including Libya, Somalia, Yemen, Iran, Iraq, Syria and Sudan.
Iranians form the biggest share of immigrants in the US out of the seven countries on Trumps list, and many stranded in the US took to social media to share their experiences, reporting families in disarray and careers in jeopardy.
Some claimed border guards in the US had asked for their laptop and social network passwords.
Niaz, who lives in Rochester, New York, returned to the US from Canada on Saturday after visiting friends in Toronto. I was asked to fill a form [at the airport] giving all the information about myself, my family, occupation and surprisingly giving away the password to my personal phone as well as the make and model of my phone, she told the Guardian.
They got my phone and went back inside and it took them another hour to check everything possible in my phone. The whole process took more than three hours and it finished with fingerprints and photo capturing.
Kiana Karimi, a 34-year-old PhD student based in New York who holds an American passport, travelled to Egypt two weeks ago and arrived at JFK airport on Saturday. She said she ended up in a room with other people with visa ban issues after a secondary evaluation on her American passport was required.
At least for the 15 minutes that I was waiting in that line, I didnt see a single white person among us. Yes, a line of only brown and black people who predominantly seemed Muslim were in a separate line from other citizen passengers, she told the Guardian.
The Iranian foreign ministry has condemned the visa bans on Iranians as an insult to the Muslim world and a gift to extremists and their supporters, saying that Tehran would reciprocate.
But Irans foreign minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif, said that unlike the US ban, Irans would allow entry to those who already had a valid visa. Unlike the US, our decision is not retroactive. All with valid Iranian visas will be gladly welcomed.
Iran also summoned the Swiss envoy, Giulio Haas, whose embassy represents Washington in the absence of a US diplomatic mission in Iran, to formally object to the executive order.
Officials from other affected countries also voiced strong condemnation of the new restrictive travel measures.
Iraqs foreign affairs committee filed a request that its own government respond with a visa ban. It said after a meeting on Sunday in Baghdad: Iraq is in the frontline of the war on terrorism and it is unfair that the Iraqis are treated in this way.
Trita Parsi, the president of the National Iranian American Council (NIAC), whose organisation has followed many such cases, said on Twitter: I want to repeat: Green card holders were handcuffed, their social media was reviewed, and they were asked their views on Trump.
The NIAC said visa bans marked a dark day in the history of the US. Families are being ripped apart without warning and with no assurance of when they will be reunited. Students travelling abroad at the time of the ban are horrified that they might not be able to return to continue their studies. Children are being detained along with their parents when they were just seeking to return home, it said in a statement.
Omid Kordestani, the Iranian-American executive chairman of Twitter, a platform Trump uses daily to broadcast his views, said on the social network: Our democratic institutions will prevail and they are bigger than any one person in position of power, temporarily!
In Tehran, Ali Larijani, the parliamentary speaker, said the travel ban revealed the violent and racist attitude of the US hidden behind the mask of democracy, and said viewing Iran as a terrorist concern sounds like a joke.
Nazanin Zinouri was visiting family in Iran when she heard about Trumps plan to impose visa bans. She wrote on her Facebook that she booked tickets quickly but was taken off the plane in Dubai.
After almost seven years of living in the United States, I got deported, she said. No one warned me when I was leaving, no one cared what will happen to my dog or my job or my life there. No one told me what I should do with my car that is still parked at the airport parking. Or what to do with my house and all my belongings.
Amin Karbasi said his wife and their newborn daughter had gone to Iran three weeks ago and were no longer able to return. It is not clear they can come back to the US. And this feeling eats me alive.
Vida Tayebati, who is based in Massachusetts, was waiting for her parents to visit her after two years. I sat in the kitchen for four hours, feeling paralysed, broken and hopeless. My heart is heavy, she said.
My mother and father went through all the stress of the crazy process of getting visa, it cost them a lot of time and energy, they travelled to Turkey from Iran for the visa interview and they finally got the visas. Now, Im ashamed of calling them and saying all their efforts have been destroyed at the hands of a mad man, that they cant visit their daughter even with a visa.

America’s Most Eligible 2 Diamond Scene: Get to Know the New Contestants
You: I’ve got time to say a few personal hellos. You: Now where should I start…?
Who do you talk to? -Eden and Heath Eden +4, Heath +4
Eden and Heath are sitting side-by-side on one of the couches, glaring at each other. Heath has a portable camera in one hand. Heath: C’mon. I told you I needed a spot with good lighting! Eden: Just because I got up for a drink doesn’t mean you can take my seat. You: Hey, guys… everything cool here? Heath: It will be, if someone will let me get some decent footage. You: I’m starting to think you two have always had some, uh… differences. Eden: Oh, you have no idea. Back when we met…
The first week of Season 7… Someone knocks on the door to the mansion’s penthouse bedroom. Eden: It’s open! Heath: Hey, Eden. Looks like some fans left a package for you with the producers. Eden: Aw, how sweet. I didn’t think we were allowed to get deliveries! Heath hands her a cardboard box. As Eden tugs at the top of the box, he sneakily pulls out his portable camera… Eden: Why is it wriggling like--
-Eden’s ‘Present’
Eden: Agh! Where did you even find a live snake? Heath: You’ve just been Heathed! Eden: Get. Out! Heath keeps his camera trained on Eden’s face the whole time, laughing, even as she shoves the box at him and chases him out of the room.
Heath: Those were the days. That video got like four hundred thousand views in four hours! Eden: Good for you. I had nightmares about finding snakes in my necklace drawer for weeks.
You: You two should… -Take all this drama to the next level!
You: The producers love conflict, and your… whatever this is… has tons of it. You: That’s a great way to get extra screen time.
-Give each other another chance.
You: You’re clearly not on the same wavelength, but that doesn’t mean you can’t get along. You: This season might actually be your chance to become friends.
Eden and Heath frown thoughtfully at each other for a long moment. Heath: I dunno… but I appreciate the idea. It’s cool that you think outside the box. Heath: Outside the box like that snake I-- Eden cuts him off with a sharp look. Eden: Thank you, [Name]. Eden: It’s nice to have one other voice of reason in the house.
-Yvette Yvette +4
Yvette is in the kitchen arranging slices of bread on a cutting board. You: What’re you making? Yvette: Just trying to whip up some snacks for everyone. There wasn’t much to work with… but tell me what you think!
YVETTE’S BRUSCHETTA BITES -Try it!
You bite into the hearty, grilled bread. The tomatoes and spices on top practically melt in your mouth. You: Wow. You just ‘whipped up’ the best bruschetta I’ve ever had in five minutes flat. Yvette: When you’ve got two growing kids to feed, you learn to make food in a jiffy. Yvette: Although believe it or not, this ‘Single Mom’ used to be the show’s ‘Wild Child’ back in the day. You: Really? Yvette: Oh, yes. Late nights, hot flings… until I met my now-ex-husband in the house. Yvette: We got married after the show wrapped, had Bethany and Jonah, but after a few years, we went our separate ways.
You: Wow… -It must’ve been hard raising the kids on your own.
Yvette’s smile falters for a moment, but she quickly puts it back on and shrugs. Yvette: Nothing with kids is easy, but we got through it with the help of family and friends.
-Do you have your eyes on anyone new?
Yvette laughs, her cheeks flushing slightly. Yvette: Not yet, although I’m not opposed to getting swept off my feet by some dashing stranger… Yvette: The suburbs can be so closed off that AME seemed like the perfect opportunity to meet some new faces.
Yvette: If you’re any indication to go by, I might even find some friends here too. You: I hope so. Yvette gives you a motherly pat on the shoulder as you head off to look for the other contestants.
-Ronan Ronan +2
When you walk up to Ronan, he’s gazing out at the horizon with a far-off look in his eyes. Ronan: … You: Uh… Ronan? Hello? He holds up a hand to silence you, then points out the window. You follow his gaze and see a gull dive through the waves to catch a fish! Ronan: The vagaries of nature. Beautiful, unpredictable… just like the human heart. You: Sure. That’s… definitely a thing people say. Ronan: Ah, but forgive my distraction. I assume you are here to ask me something. You: Just wanted to see how you were settling into the house. You: Carson mentioned that you won the first season of AME. I bet things were pretty different back then. Ronan surveys the walls around you, thoughtfully tapping a finger against his chin. Ronan: ‘Different’ is putting it mildly. The mansion was half this size, and the Challenge safety rules were… shall we say… looser. Ronan: The accommodations are far more pleasant now, though I do miss Season 1 Carson’s frosted tips.
You: Ronan… -Please tell me that’s not a joke.
Ronan solemnly places a hand over his heart. Ronan: When it comes to style, I never joke. I only wish I had the footage on hand. You: I’m sure it’s on the internet somewhere.
-What were you like back in Season 1?
Ronan: Ah, I was a simpler, wilder, man… bold in the ways only young blood can be… Ronan: That spark of adventure has since been tempered with wisdom, but I daresay my taste is suits has improved. You: You are a pretty snappy dresser.
Ronan chuckles. He glances at you as though truly noticing you for the first time, and nods respectfully. Ronan: It’s a pleasure to talk to a kindred, curious spirit. I hope we will meet again soon. You: I mean, we’re both living here for the rest of the season, so… Ronan doesn’t reply, his gaze already fixed back on the birds soaring over the ocean. You: Right.
-Kiana Kiana +4
You find Kiana sitting on the steps in the foyer, thumbs frantically tapping a small screen in her hands. You: Is that a phone? Kiana: It’s something way better. She pats the step beside her. When you sit down, she shows you the clunky device she’s playing on. Kiana: See? No phones. Just an old GameGo console I found in a shop and a platformer that’s kicking my butt. You: From Carson’s intro, it sounds like you’ve been into games since Season 8. Kiana: If that’s a nice way of asking if I’ve always been a nerd… the answer is yes. Kiana: I wasn’t sure how the audience would treat me, since gaming’s not exactly, y’know… America’s favourite pastime. Kiana: But I won one season, and they brought me back for another, so I must be doing something right.
You: Our audience must… -Love gaming as much as you and I do.
You: I mean, you’re a Platinum Lookout player. These days, even the American viewing public can see that that’s cool.
-Like people who are passionate about their hobbies.
Kiana: Most people I know would say ‘obsessed’. You: There’s nothing wrong with enjoying what you do for a living. Or being great at it.
Kiana: Thanks, [Name]. I appreciate that… and I appreciate you coming over to say hey. Kiana: It’s nice to know there’s at least one cool girl/guy in the house. She gives you a small wave and turns back to her game.
-Slater Slater +4
You find Slater staring at the beach that stretches along the mansion. You: Admiring the waves? Slater: Hell yeah. Those are double overheads at least. Slater: Too bad we can’t get out there and catch ‘em. You: You take this whole ‘Surfer’ persona pretty seriously. Slater: It’s not just a persona. You should’ve seen my intro back in Season 6. Slater: Carson had us film the premiere out on the beach…
Several seasons ago… Carson: Thank you, thank you. And lastly, I’d like you all to welcome our final contestant of the season… He holds his hand out, but none of the waiting contestants step up beside him. Carson: Um. Where is that new guy? Piper: he should’ve been here half an hour ago. I swear I sent a car to-- Slater: Incoming!! Slater throws a ‘hang ten’ sign at the cameras as he surfs down a wave toward the shore. His board skids to a halt at Carson’s feet, throwing up a spray of sand. Slater: ‘Sup, Season 6. I’m Slater, and I’m here to rock your world.
You: Piper didn’t kick you out for that stunt? Slater: No way. Took Carson a couple weeks to forgive me for getting sand all over his suit, but Piper said my grand entrance saved the episode.
You: I… -Can appreciate a dramatic entrance.
You: Remind me to tell you how I got on Season 10 sometime. Slater: I’d love to hear it.
-Wish I’d been there to admire the view…
Slater winks at you. Slater: I’ll make sure you get a chance before this season is over.
Slater: And thanks for stopping by, [Name]. A lot of people in this place can be intense… Slater: But I think we’re gonna get along just fine. Slater gives you a leisurely farewell wave as you survey the room…
Glancing around the first floor of the mansion, you can now easily put a name to each of the new contestants you’ve met. You: (Pretty sure I’ve made a good first impression. Now Carson just needs to hurry up with those scores…)
