[The first incident was in Qing Qing City. An extraordinary child was born who radiated light. After that, reports to people with superpower popped up all across the globe. No one knew what was causing these quirks. Before long, the supernatural became the totally normal. Dreams a reality. The world became a superhuman society with about 80% of the population possessing some uncanny ability. Our streets look like scenes from comic books. A city swirled with chaos and confusion, a new profession dominated our collective consciousness. It was an age of heroes.]

Quirks weren’t the only new mutation to unlock, however. Zodiac signs and blood types became personality tests of the past as with the appearance of quirks came the appearance of animal characteristics that more often than not would line up with the person’s personality.

Like with all things in life, there were outliers or people whose quirk was just straight up animal things but more often than not, the animal lined up with their personality.

This means everyone in a household could end up the same or similar animals, mismatched, or everyone completely different.

No one knew what suddenly triggered these mutations as either, but scientists assume it’s linked to the quirk gene.

And then there was Izuku Midoriya.

Born a rabbit to a lioness mother, young Izuku was sure to have a quirk!

Right?

Well no, but actually yes?

It wouldn’t be his own anyway, but when his childhood hero approached him after saving him from almost dying trying to save his childhood bully and offered to give him his quirk; he sure as hell wasn’t going to say no.

“Eat this!” All Might declares loudly after plucking a hair from near his horns and offering it to Izuku.

“Huh?” Izuku questions brilliantly.

“OI, DEKU!” Bakugou yelled from behind him “MOVE IT! SOME OF US WANNA STUDY!”

Izuku jumped, green rabbit ears standing on end as he realized he was blocking the door leading up to the dorm rooms, too busy muttering to himself, lost in thought.

“Oh, sorry Kacchan and Kirishima!” He quickly apologized, moving aside for the two to get to the door.

Bakugou huffed, the red comb in his blonde hair flopping a bit with the exaggerated movement as Kirishima just grinned.

“No problem, bro. You good though? No one’s caught you muttering since Todoroki did something manly last month and you had a gay panic?” The black top knot peeking out of his hair bouncing as he tilted his head in concern.

“Tch, who cares what the nerd’s muttering about?” Bakugou tsked, even as he pulled Deku by the back of his uniform collar up the stairs after them. “Spill.”

Izuku flushed red as Kirishima’s reminder, but let out a squeak when Kacchan started dragging him, stumbled to get his uniform jacket off so he could follow normally. “Kacchan! I can walk!”

“I’ve known you since diapers, you’ll run.” Bakugou huffed, throwing Izuku onto the landing in front of him. “Now talk.”

The greenette huffed in return, ears twitching in annoyance. “I almost miss you not caring about me.”

“Yeah so do I, but you’re the one who insisted on the power of friendship bs so welcome to aggressive support. Now you’ve chilled to the point of only muttering when you’re really stressed so what’s going on, Deku?”

Izuku pouted, but sighed in defeat as he looked up at Kacchan.

Much like quirks themselves, every animal characteristic had their drawbacks. Bakugou’s nails grew stupidly fast into talons and he woke up with the sun no matter when he went to bed. Kirishima was easily distracted by shiny objects. Izuku himself was especially jumpy with sudden loud sounds and had hit his head on ceilings more than once, but the downside that stretched across all traits was mating cycle that started roughly a month after turning 16 then varied by species. At least pheromones weren’t a thing like in those fanfics Mina talked about.

Bakugou was still waiting for an answer while the bunny was lost in thought and furrowed his eyebrows when he noticed Deku had spaced off again.

“Oi, Deku! Hurry up before I stop caring!” Bakugou yelled with a small pop of explosions.

Izuku jumped, flushing red and looking away. “...I turned 16 three weeks ago.” He finally admitted.

Kirishima’s eyes widened as Bakugou just grew more pissed out of confusion. “Yeah? So? What about it?”

Right, Bakugou’s demisexual. The only people spared from this embarrassing time was those on the Ace spectrum. Though Demis usually joined the rest of the populace whenever they were in a relationship, something about chemicals in the brain setting it off. He just remembers hearing explosions one morning some time after Bakugou realized he liked Kirishima and the world’s weirdest confession. Koda was just all together safe and grateful.

“DAMMIT, SHITTY HAIR! STOP BEING FUCKING ADORABLE! YOU STARTED MY FUCKING MATING CYCLE, STUPID QUAIL!”

“...Did Bakubro just confess to Kirishima by announcing to the dorm he has a boner?” Kaminari had whispered to Shinsou as they peeked out of the blonde’s room to spy on the commotion, coyote ears pressed back at the loud noises.

“It’s too early for this shit.” Shinsou had sighed, cat tail puffed up behind him.

“COME TAKE RESPONSIBILITY, YOU BASTARD!”

“Can we get dinner after, Bakubabe?” Kirishima had been totally unfazed, grinning like an idiot.

“FUCK THAT! I’M MAKING YOU DINNER!”

“Awww! Bakuba-!” The door had closed at this point and everyone was suddenly very thankful the 2A rooms were soundproofed.

“Mating cycles usually start like a month after a person turns 16, Bakubabe.” Kirishima whispers helpfully, making the childhood friends turn red as Bakugou’s hands fell from their fight position.

“Oh…” was all Bakugou could think to say.

“Yeah…” Izuku muttered, hiding behind his ears.

Breeding like rabbits was a term for a reason. A slight breeze gave him a hard on on the best of days, but he’d also be a needy mess around the same time every month, and he was not ready to deal with that.

“...So were you trying to figure out how to tell Aizawa you’d need the week off or? Why were you muttering?” Bakugou had already committed to helping, and he was going to see it through even if he wanted to die discussing his childhood friend’s sex life with his own boyfriend standing next to him.

“No...I already told him and he tried to give The Talk before quickly giving up and calling Midnight in.”

“Oh my god!” Kirishima snickered, red faced as Bakugou was now cackling instead.

“Yes it was as horrible as it sounds.” Izuku was pouting now.

“I bet!” Kirishima laughed as they waited for Bakugou to stop laughing like he was a hyena instead of a rooster. “So what’s up then?”

Izuku turned red all over again but sighed, knowing he wasn’t getting out of this. “As her transition into talking about protection, she mentioned having someone there makes it easier, and now I can’t stop thinking about asking Shouto so I’m panicking.”

Bakugou sounded like he choked on his own spit as he continued cackling, facing away from the two, clearly done being helpful.

“I see. I don’t really know what to tell you since Bakubabe just dragged me to his room as a means of asking me out, but you guys are already dating. ...He’s older than you, right? Did you help with his?” Kirishima tried.

Izuku grimaced, “Endickvore made him go home, and wouldn’t let me even bring homework.”

“Right, forgot he was homophobic.” Kirishima sighs.

“And hates me, but that feeling’s mutual after what the skunk did to Sho in the past not to mention when he found out. I told him we should have used All Might’s lawyers when they were offered but nooooo.” The bunny grumbled, looking like he was considering murder now instead.

Kirishima remembers the state Todoroki came back to school in after Endeavor caught the two kissing and honestly? He’d probably help with that murder. That wasn’t the issue right now though.

“So you’re considering asking him? What’s the problem?” Kirishima asked, tilting his head.

Izuku flushed again and was getting really tired of doing that. “The problem is whether or not I should.” His ear twitched when he heard a door open, but he figured it was from the girls’ stairs on the other side of the wall.

“...Have you done it yet?”

Another blush, but a small nod.

“Do you want to?”

Izuku thought about it again and groaned, hiding once more. “God yes, but how do I even bring it up? ‘Hey, Sho. We’ve been for almost a year now and my cycle is coming up. Wanna see where the joke fuck like rabbits comes from?’”

A strange noise that sounded somewhere between a growl and someone cleaning a window came from the next landing up and they all turned to find Todoroki standing there with a very territorial look in his eyes. “God yes.”

In that moment Izuku looked like he wanted the floor to swallow him whole as he turned the same shade as half his boyfriend’s hair. Kirishima just scooched away from the rabbit, and Bakugou burst into another fit of cackling. The red head was beginning to worry about him.

“Sh-Sho! W-what are you d-doing here?” Izuku squeaked, ears standing on end.

Todoroki didn’t take his off Izuku, but titled his head in the directions of the other two as Bakugou held up his which had a text conversation with the fox. “Bakugou said you need something?”

“Kacchan!” Izuku yelled, mortified. “Why?!”

“Because -wheeze- You’d give yourself -wheeze- an ulcer before you decided otherwise.” Bakugou laughed, as he grabbed Kirishima by the tie and dragged him passed Todoroki. “You’re welcome!”

“”Lock up your All MIght merch ‘cause I’m taking it!” Izuku yelled back even as Bakugou’s wing door closed, leaving him alone with Todoroki who was still looking at him like prey.

“I was wondering if you were going to ask me since we couldn’t spend mine together.” Todoroki spoke as he joined Izuku on the lower landing.

“W-what?” Izuku stuttered, back to shy now that Todoroki was in his space.

“You turned 16 three weeks and two days ago.” Todoroki hummed like that answered everything.

“Y-yeah I did. I should start my first cycle in the next few days.” The greenette fidgeted.

“Father can’t call me home this time. Would you like my help, Izuku?” Todoroki asked, petting one of the long bunny ears that was drooping slightly in front of his face.

Izuku shivered as his ear was touched, spacing out a bit before the question sank in. “Shoooo! Stop trying to distract me!” He pouted, lightly smacking his smirking boyfriend’s hand away.

Todoroki just waited patiently for his answer and eventually Izuku sighed, looking down again with another flush of color. “...Only if you want to.”

“Izuku, I almost burned the house down when you brought my homework and Father wouldn’t even let you in the foyer. Literally if it weren’t for the sprinkler systems from after Touya’s ‘death’, the house would’ve been gone again.” Todoroki chuckled, “I would love to help you.”

“...Is that where he got the new scar on his chin from?” Izuku sighed.

Todoroki shrugged. “He won’t be calling me home next winter.”

Izuku smiled softly, standing on his toes slightly to kiss the dual-haired boy on the cheek. “Have I told you how much I love you standing up to the trash can?”

“Every time I do. Now is that a yes?” Shouto smiled, kissing his bunny’s nose.

Izuku grinned, nodding eagerly. “Please, Sho?”

“Anytime, Izu.”

“SENSEI! DEKU COLLAPSED!” Uraraka called out a few days later during training, glad she was able to touch him before he hit the ground and possibly his head.

Aizawa swung down to the training grounds at the same time a panicked Todoroki skidded over his ice.

“Good catch, Uraraka. Let me get a look at him.” Aizawa hummed, crouching next to the panting rabbit as Todoroki kneeled on the other side. “Todoroki, I assume you know what’s wrong since you don’t normally skate over every time the problem child gets hurt?”

“He turned 16 a month ago. It’s his first mating cycle.” Todoroki responds bluntly, petting fluffy green hair and smiling when his bunny nuzzled into his touch.

Aizawa sighs, glancing at blushing Uraraka who was still in earshot. “As blunt as ever. Did you two already discuss this?”

“Yes. Bakugou texted me when they were in the stairway because Izuku he was overthinking whether or not to ask me if I, and I quote, ‘Wanna see where the joke fuck like rabbits comes from?’”

Aizawa’s sigh turned suffering. “They’ve taught you to use air quotes, but no one has taught you what a filter is. What did he say?”

“Oh those were Izuku’s words,” Todoroki clarified.

“Jesus fucking- Just go!” Aizawa groaned, completely done with his job as he pinched the bridge of his nose. “You’re both excused for the week. You two. Just stop talking.”

Todoroki nodded as he picked up Izuku bridal style and carried him to the doors. “Uraraka’s floating away by the way.”

Aizawa turned around and looked up to find a steaming red Uraraka curled in a ball and floating out of the training grounds. ‘I’m talking with his therapist, I swear to god he needs a filter.’

‘Why is it so hot?’ Izuku groaned as he started waking up, already working on stripping without thinking about it. ‘Mmm. This bed is soft...Wait why am I in bed? I was fighting Uraraka? Did she knock me out?’

The greenette opens his eyes slowly, adjusting to the light and realizing he’s not in Recovery Girl’s office or his room, but Todoroki’s.

‘Passed out, feel hot, in Todoroki’s room.’ Izuku makes a mental inventory before looking down at himself and seeing the tent in his boxers. “Great,” he sighs.

“Oh, you’re awake?” Todoroki hums, turning around in his desk chair. “How are you feeling?”

“Literally hot and bothered.” Izuku breathes out a laugh, turning on his side and nuzzling into Todoroki’s pillow, breathing in his scent of campfire in winter. “How is your bed so soft? It’s literally a slab on the floor.”

Todoroki chuckles. “Same way I got your limited edition All Might sheets. Father’s credit card.”

Izuku smirked up at his boyfriend. “Have I mentioned I love you?”

“I mean you’ve been asleep for about an hour so you are a bit behind.” Todoroki smirks back.

Izuku rolls his eyes as he tries to sit up only to fall back with a groan. “Shoutooo~”

Todoroki’s pupils slit at the sound and he lets out another strange strangled growl. “Starting up?”

Normally green eyes, now swallowed by pupil, meet his heterochromatic ones. “Yesss. God, I feel hot. Sho, are you sure you wanna help? ‘Cause everything in me is screaming not to let you out of this room until I’m full of kits I can’t even have and-” Izuku winces, fighting his boxers off, the fabric suddenly too rough for his overly sensitive skin. “-and I can’t find a reason to argue, so last chance to either kick me out or run though I’d probably catch up.”

Todoroki groans at the thoughts, head resting in his arms he has crossed over the back of the chair. “I definitely can’t argue either. Yes, Izuku, I’ll help you, and while the thought of you chasing me and taking what you want is rather appealing. You’d have to kick me out of this room to get me out.”

“Glad we’re in agreement, Sho-Ooo~!” Izuku had reached down to try and relieve some of the ache and god was he sensitive. “Get over here.”

Todoroki didn’t need to be told twice as he dug in his drawer for the lube, but that didn’t stop him from teasing the greenette. “Where’s my usually shy bunny that I have to kiss out from behind his ears?” He hummed, almost dropping the lube at the new sight that greeted him.

In the few seconds it took Todoroki to look for the lube, Izuku had moved on all fours, face pressed into Todoroki’s pillow and ass in the air as he strokes himself with a spit lubed hand, whining as he makes grabby hands with his unoccupied one. “Get down here. Want your knot.”

Another strange sound makes its way out of Todoroki’s throat as he takes the few steps over to kneel behind Izuku and shoo the bunny’s hand away from touching himself. “Mine.”

Izuku whines at the loss of contact but instinctively spreads his legs further to present himself. “Shoooo~ Hurry! Hurts!”

Todoroki smiles lightly, leaning over the greenette to kiss his cheek before nipping at one of the pressed back rabbit ears, earning a moan. “I’ve got you Izu, don’t worry.” He assured, uncapping the lube and spreading it around his fingers.

“HurrY! AHhHH! Shoooo~!” Izuku moaned as Shouto slipped a finger in, moving it in and out slowly to start opening him up.

Izuku moaned, rutting back against the finger as he gripped Todoroki’s bedding, letting out a small squeak when a second was added. “Shoooo~ Sho, please~ Please let me touch myself please!” He begged, whimpering pathetically for sympathy.

Todoroki let out another possessive noise, but relented. “Only because I looked up what you meant by fuck like rabbits not being a joke, and would much rather survive the week.”

Izuku flushed darker than he already was. “You what?! Oh goOod-Ah there!”

Todoroki had found the greenette’s prostate and made sure to at the very least brush it with each thrust of fingers. “Yeah. I thought knotting traits had a lot of porn, but you guys have a lot .”

Izuku was back to trying to relieve the ache into his hand, but was hiding his face in the fox’s pillow. “Please, shut up!”

“Hey, no need to hide. Now I know to let you come as many times as you need.” Todoroki smirked into Izuku’s ear with a purring sound before nipping at it again, knowing how much the smaller boy likes it.

He’s proven right by the full body shudder that rips through his bunny as his hand speeds up. “M-more~”

Todoroki adds a third finger, smirking once more at the noise this draws out before nipping at various places along his bunny’s body, paying special attention to his neck and rabbit ears. “So cute for me, Izu.”

A particularly rough bite to his neck has Izuku crying out and coming into his hand, hips still rutting back onto the fox’s fingers. “Please, Shooo! Please! Fuck me already! Please!”

Todoroki lets out his possessive growl again at his bunny’s sweet begging as he pulls out his fingers, giving a calming yip in response to his bunny whining at the loss. “Shhh, Izu. I got you.” He gets out of his own boxers now as he lubes up his own already hard cock, positioning the tip at Izuku’s entrance. "Ready?”

“Yes! God, yes! Please, please, please. Just fuck me already~!” Izuku whined.

Todoroki gives an odd purring noise as he sinks into the smaller slowly, choking on air when Izuku makes a disgruntled noise and with a quick thrust back, the fox finds himself balls deep in his bunny and moaning. “Shit, Izuku. Patience, bunny.”

This gets him a sharp look over Izuku’s shoulder and Todoroki suddenly feels that was the wrong choice of words before Izuku is awkwardly trying to fuck himself back on Todoroki’s cock. “You did the research. Hurry~!” Izuku whines.

Todoroki holds onto Izuku’s hips to brace himself and gain some control of the situation before he starts up a fast pace, hoping it will be enough for the eager bunny.

Todoroki peaks open an eye. “Izu?”

He watches as the back of Izuku’s neck flush red in embarrassment. “...It’s back.”

Dual colored eyes snap open in shock. “How?”

“Can we go again?”

~~~1 week later~~~

“Deku! You’re back! Are you okay?” Uraraka was one of the first people to welcome him back as he stepped into class the first day after his cycle, he beaver ears twitching happily and tail thumping a little.

“Uh, yeah. Heh, yeah I’m fine. Thanks.” Izuku flushed, looking at the ground.

“Where Todoroki, kero?” Tsuyu asked with a tilt of her head.

Izuku’s scrambling for an excuse when Kaminari yells. “Did you suck the soul outta him, man?” The blonde laughing, fully resembling his traits in that moment, even as Shinsou thumps him on the back of the head.

Steam rises from Izuku’s face as he turns around and walks back out. Maybe he can wait another day.

As both a Bakugou and Izuku fan, it kinda irks me when people defend or attack Bakugou behaviors in the past. I would say that it is hard to see, if through the whole course of their childhoods together, the bullying Bakugou did to Midoriya was consistent or not and to what degree did it manifested? (It would be wholly different if he just punched kid Deku one time, then tell him to reborn as he might as well get his quirk in another life, from consistently through 14-15 ish years? of their life intermingling with each other in a bully-bullied dynamic. Both Bakugou's defenders and attackers glossed over this fact. We don't know enough. However, if the previous Anon think Bakugou had never been a bad person, they are correct, but he was, at one point, a 'bad' kid, struggling with his too big of a ego and thoughts being mangled and shaped by the biases of society, only to have that character development and become the 'not bad' person he is now instead. Bakugou was never really the underdog though, the narrative rarely ever truly portrays him as that. But maybe the previous anon who said Bakugou is better on his own and they never like Deku in the first place, meant an underdog in social aptitude? Cause boy Bakugou is winning in most aspect in life lol (boy got looks, a good background, a good quirk, inner introspection, AQ, IQ from being nutured + genetics and environment, etc.) Even though he is made fun of because of his attitude sometimes in the story, it is hardly him who is the underdog. Even if he is never the chosen one, he can, and is believed to be able to battle for the pedestal in the first place. Bakugou may represent a slightly frown uppon ideal in the Japanese society (individualism) but in no way this kid is portray and put through the underdog route.

I can tell you put a lot of energy into this so I'mma let your rant stand lol. Most of my feelings on this are available here, though I may have slight nuances and updates to it given how long it's been since I wrote it.

And I'm not the first person to comment on this, but Katsuki does paradoxically occupy one obvious underdog space: in the meta. As the audience, we don't necessarily expect him to win against Izuku at the Ground Beta training or against Shouto at the sports fest because of all the tropes in previous anime that came before. That's not exactly what you're talking about, but I think it's an interesting observation.

Oooh I'm not good with these kinds of things. I listen to music mostly for vibes and not lyrics, so my picks could be kind of weird!! I don't have anything I've previously associated with them but if I had to pick off the top of my head:

Shouto for me would definitely be an Alina Baraz song; dreamy, introspective, contemplative. Maybe "If You Let Me" even though it's not my fave--the whole song's theme is like, holding someone else's burden for them, the act of love as acceptance and relief. Which I think fits kind of well with his narrative arc and his wanting to be a hero that can reassure others.

Bakugou is way more difficult lol. He would have to be something definitively harder, maybe like idk, BTS' "UGH". It's not exactly a clean fit but the song is about the power of rage. I don't speak Korean but I've heard the main idea basically translates to "anger and frustration are necessary parts of life sometimes, but there's a point where it becomes destructive more than anything," and I think that's like a messy but apt fit with Bakugou's character arc!

Summary: “Fuck it,” Bakugou exhales angrily, more to himself, and then suddenly is leaning over Todoroki where he sits, arms by his sides and face close to his. "It doesn't matter what kind of weird mind game you're playing. I'll beat you no matter how much better than me you think you are."

"When you're not acting out I actually respect you a lot," Todoroki corrects mildly. It's said in part because he wishes Bakugou would get over this complex and in part because he's starting to develop a knack for making Bakugou pull the face he's pulling now. "You're really not that bad these days."

Bakugou blinks furiously, then sags abruptly, expression gone disheartened. "You've lost it. I- what's next? You gonna declare your love for me mid-battle?”

“I don’t think so, no,” Todoroki replies, instinctively, then stills, thinking about it.

“I’m fucking- going,” Bakugou continues, undeterred and jittery. “Fucking weirdo.”

He's up and gone in a hurry, casting a last disturbed glance back over his shoulder, and Todoroki stays very still, looking blankly at the sky.

Well, shit.

He thinks he may have missed a few things while redefining his feelings.

Looking up at the shining gates of UA, Nagisa pulled out his anti-sensei knife and twirled the point along his index finger. If he could hitch a ride to Hawaii at Mach 20, save his friends from poisoning and go to outer space, he could definitely do this – face a new school year. A new class.

A new homeroom teacher.

Because, even without time travel, moving on from their mountaintop classroom had always been the plan. Koro-sensei had wanted them to live the best lives they possibly could. Even if he hadn't expected those lives to involve quirks or a quest to stop Shiro – I'm sorry All for One – from taking over the world with antimatter Nomu… well, Nagisa just hoped Koro-sensei would be proud of them anyway.

He twirled the knife one more time, pointedly ignoring the concerned looks shot his way by other students passing through the gates.

“Well, Koro-sensei,” he whispered, determinedly sliding his knife back into its hidden sheath. He hitched up his backpack and squared his shoulders to finally step through the gates. “If you're watching out there… I guess it's future time.”

He's ignored by Midoriya's self-appointed bodyguards but not the green-haired boy, who fits him a blinding, but ultimately fake, smile. “Hey, Kirishima-kun!”

“You good?” He asks, bluntly and tries not to freeze when said bodyguards turn to face him, like sharks smelling blood.

Midoriya seems to study him for a moment before the smile drops, along with his whole sunshine facade. The Real and Definitely Not Toga Midoriya nods, his shoulders slumped and scarred hands shaking slightly.

As if that's a signal of some kind, maybe an acknowledgment that Eijirou is in the know, both bodyguards relax, turning to watch the current spars and Bakugou.

Or: Eijirou knows what it's like to pretend to be a different person but he doesn't quite expect Midoriya to know too.

Here another one for the ask game : because of a quirk, Izuku and Shouto exchange their bodies for 1 month even though they have never met before.

1. To this day, they still don't know how that happened. They suspect a quirk but they don't know how they were touched by it at the same time. In any case, Shouto wakes up in Izuku's body and is "NO ENDEAVOR???" so he promptly decides not to say anything. He can do anything he wants. He isn't used to such level of independance and Inko doesn't mind? Not in the "I don't care" way but it's just normal to her. Meanwhile, Izuku wakes up and the first thing he sees is Endeavor's face, which is nothing something you want to see before your first coffee in the morning.

2. Their respective families actually know that something is wrong. Because Shouto absolutely sucks at pretending he is Izuku and Izuku blows his cover by enthusiastically using his brand new quirk, especially the flames. Well, technically, Endeavor thought that Shouto was still being rebellious when Izuku accidentally burned down half of the dojo and didn't use his ice to fix it. Izuku does call Shouto on his own phone and they exchange info, so they can keep pretending to be each other for a little longer.

3. A lot of introspection on both side. Shouto has never felt so free, away from the "son of Endeavor' legacy, benefiting from an anonymity he has never known before. As for Izuku, he is positively giddy now that he finally has a quirk, and a strong one, but he is aware that something is wrong in the Todoroki family and he really doesn't like the implications that Shouto's was made to surpass All Might.

4. Endeavor is not dumb so he guessed pretty early that something was wrong with his "son" but guessed the impostor part under three days. Izuku admits everything and shows the text messages he has with Shouto so... you know... Endeavor doesn't yeet him into the sun. Meanwhile, it's a Monday so Shouto goes to Aldera and is exposed to quirk discrimination and bullying for the first time in his life. He has no idea of why he is the one threatened with suspension after Bakugou used his quirk on him, when he only punched him in the throat.

Also, Endeavor is the one who comes and picks up "Izuku" so I will let you imagine the rumors that circulate through Aldera when they leave together.

5. Inko is made aware of the whole thing and she is not amused. Izuku and Shouto are still stuck in each other's bodies for three weeks and half and it's just plain weird for their families but they are oddly fine with it. They still pretend to be each other because it's funny. It's a very strange friendship.

+1. There is no "Are you All Might's secret lovechild or something?" in this AU but "How the fuck did you manage to hide a full quirk and that All Might is your dad for a whole month????"

Touya Todoroki // 22. Gay.

Known online as Dabi, the alias he gave himself.

BlueArsonNightmare is his gamer tag and the name of is Twitch Channel.

Fans often shorten it to BAN or BlueArson as it's way too long to type out all the time. (Damn you, Dabi.)

Dies his hair black because fuck you sperm donor. (Naturally red when he was born/younger just like his abusive father's. Fuck you, Enji Todoroki. Turned white as he got older which he didn't mind because it matched his mother's but black just fits his image so much better.)

Plays a lot of horror games. Resident Evils are a favorite. Also plays some Minecraft when in the mood.

Is responsive to the stream chat but can roast his fans. (They seem to enjoy this though, the masochists.)

His sister has a YouTube channel she talks on and cooks on. She's almost as popular as Dabi. Dabi sometimes gets talked into joining her videos. Sometimes with Natsuo and Shouto. Sometimes alone.

He'll never tell her but he sometimes plugs her channel to his fans. Off the cuff, could care less sort of way, but deep down he wants to help her succeed.

Very nearly threatens violence (as far as he can get away with on Twitch) to anyone who says anything suggestive about her though. They don't always get along but that's still his sister, fuck you.

Very rarely does "just taking" streams but when he does he gets a massive viewership on the stream and often ends it with a handful more subscribers. He always lets them know they are appreciated but in his own way. (It never sounds very nice but the fans understand.)

Resents Shouto for being the favorite of the family but now that he's out on his own he can see the strain on his youngest brother and they are working to restore their relationship.

Often "kidnaps" his brother when things are obviously too much for him but Shouto's too damn stubborn to walk away himself. The moron (said with a bit of affection).

Has vitiligo in the shape of his canon scars. Usually covers them with foundation. He is a bit self conscious of them but more so worried he'll lose followers/subscribers if he doesn't cover up.

Hawks will help him find the courage to embrace it, even online.

Keigo Takami // 22. Pan.

Known online as Hawks, the alias earlier fans gave him.

HawksSighting is his Instagram handle. He uses this username across all his social media accounts.

Has verified Instagram and Twitter accounts, which he is very proud of.

Recently entered the world of YouTube vlogging as well. Already had a ridiculous amount of subscribers and he only has two videos up so far. HawksSighting is the name of his YouTube channel as well.

Got a huge set of red wings he bought on impulse because they looked as real as a set of fake wings could look and they move and shift using pull strings.

Started wearing them on his sponsored posts and in his Instagram stories on a dare.

Fans loved it so much they started calling him Hawks. Thus his brand was created. He now wears the wings 90% of the time.

Started off his Instagram like normal users but people quickly realized how attractive he was and how hilarious and flirty he was in his stories. Got a following that urged him to look into sponsors.

Keigo's parents were abusive (father) and negligent (mother). He was taken away by Social Services at 10. Was in the system until he was placed in a good foster family at 13. The family was the Tokoyami's.

The Tokoyami's already had a son but were happy to help out this kind and thoughtful but struggling teen. In their family with strict but supportive and loving guardians and a quiet but introspective and intelligent younger brother, Keigo thrived. A year later, they adopted him into the family.

He doesn't know why but he chose not to take their last name. Perhaps wants to make a good legacy out of the Takami name.

Also uses his Instagram as a way to help out his adoptive brother Fumikage's photography. It's really amazing work and he loves to show it off. He also sometimes models for his brother's profile.

Due to his brother's love for dark, introspective things, and running off the gag of his own fan given nickname, Keigo starts calling Fumikage "Raven". It's a shout out to the Edgar Allan Poe poem we all know and love.

The nickname stuck and though Fumikage grumps about it, he's secretly pleased, and Keigo knows this.

Miscellaneous Plot Points

Fumikage has a pet crow. Technically, it is illegal in Japan to own one unless you have a valid reason and register for a permit.

The crow was one that was found as a young crow and Fumikage nursed it back to health.

They tried to release it back into the wild but the bird had imprinted on Fumikage and so they were able to get a permit.

That crows name is, you guessed it, Dark Shadow. :D

Thanks to @sunshineandteddybears for helping me brainstorm this idea.

Shoto also has vitiligo instead of his scar and is why his hair is two toned. Rei, Natsuo, and Fuyumi have it too but only their hair.

Class 1-A Favorite Anime headcanons (+2 Bonus Students)

Just my way of indulging in both of my special interests at the same time, anime and My Hero Academia.

Izuku Midoriya: Lives for shounen, though he likes the more action-driven shoujo anime as well. His favorite anime are Haikyuu!!, Dr. Stone and Sailor Moon. And probably All Might anime too.

Katsuki Bakugou: Also lives for shounen, though as he's grown older he has gravitated towards seinen as well. For him, the more violent, the better: Dragon Ball, Berserk, Chainsaw Man, that's what he's into. Also All Might anime, like Izuku. His favorite anime film is Princess Mononoke.

Shouto Todoroki: Because of his isolated childhood, he never watched much anime as a child. Most of what he likes now are shows he discovered as a teenager. He likes philosophical, introspective and somewhat unsettling shows, with a bit of mind screw added in for good measure. His favorite anime of all time is probably Neon Genesis Evangelion, but he also likes Serial Experiments Lain and Puella Magi Madoka Magica. His favorite anime film is Perfect Blue.

Ochako Uraraka: Loves Magical Girls! She doesn't care much for the romantic plots, but she loves seeing girls kick ass. Cardcaptor Sakura, Cutie Honey and My-HiME are her all-time favorites. Outside of the Magical Girl genre, her favorite anime is Zombie Land Saga.

Tenya Iida: Loves anime with realistic drama, even if they have fantastic elements. His favorites are Kotaro Lives Alone, A Place Further than the Universe and Princess Jellyfish. His favorite anime film is Grave of the Fireflies, which is also Tensei's favorite film and never fails to make them cry.

Tsuyu Asui: Loves surreal and self-referential humor. Her favorite anime are Pop Team Epic, Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-Kun and Ouran High School Host Club. On the more serious side of things, she also likes Futari Wa Pretty Cure and Bakuman.

Momo Yaoyorozu: Mostly likes slice-of-life shows, especially those set in high school. Her favorites are K-On!, Daily Life of High School Boys and Azumanga Daioh. She was tricked into watching School Days in middle school. One of the only anime she loves outside of the slice-of-life genre is Sugar Sugar Rune.

Denki Kaminari: Loves iyashikei, the specific subgenre of slice-of-life that focuses on 'healing' and relaxing the audience. His favorites are Bananya, Bunny Drop (the anime, don't even mention the manga in his presence) and Laid-Back Camp. His favorite anime film is My Neighbor Totoro.

Hanta Sero: Loves high fantasy and is fond of isekai. His favorite anime are One Piece, Fairy Tail and Magic Knight Rayearth. He has also watched Munto and considers it an underrated gem that deserves more attention. His favorite anime film is Spirited Away.

Mina Ashido: Loves mecha! Anything with giant transforming robots is game to her, except Evangelion. Her favorite is Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, but she has a soft spot for Macross as well. Although she'll never admit it, she also liked Bokurano, but she doesn't think she'll ever watch it again. Outside the mecha genre, her favorite anime is Kill la Kill.

Eijirou Kirishima: Likes anime with equally high levels of manliness, action and emotion. His tastes go from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure and Saint Seiya to Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha and Kill la Kill. His favorite anime film is The Boy and the Beast.

Kyouka Jirou: She loves science fiction, especially anything set in or related to space. Her favorite anime is Cowboy Bebop, both because of the plot and the great music. She also likes Trigun and Space Battleship Yamato 2199. Her favorite anime film is Ghost in the Shell.

Fumikage Tokoyami: Loves horror, especially psychological and supernatural horror. He swears by Junji Ito, his favorite story by him being Uzumaki. His favorite anime are Higurashi: When They Cry, Another and Devilman Crybaby. His favorite anime film is AKIRA.

Yuuga Aoyama: Prefers aesthetic over genre or demographic. He is enamored with the soft, sparkly look of 70s and 80s anime, and looks for shows with a similar feel to them. His favorites so far are The Rose of Versailles, Candy Candy and Revolutionary Girl Utena. His favorite anime film is Belladonna of Sadness.

Mezou Shoji: Doesn't like anime much, but he loves manga!

Mashirao Ojiro: Loves sports anime, though his definition of 'sports' is rather loose. Overall, he likes anime that deals with training and competition, even if it's in board games. His favorites are Slam Dunk, Chihayafuru and Tsurune.

Tooru Hagakure: Her tastes are really ecclectic. She doesn't limit herself to only one demographic or genre. She also watches a lot of anime, so her favorites go from Tokyo Mew Mew to The Quintessential Quintuplets to Slayers. She usually stays away from shows heavy on drama or blood, or at least looks for anime with a healthy balance of pathos and comedy. Her favorite anime film is Kiki's Delivery Service.

Rikidou Satou: He likes hot-blooded shonen. He likes cooking shows. His favorite anime? Food Wars!, the perfect combination of both. He has also watched Yumeiro Patissiere, though mostly for Ichigo's personal growth and the lavish representation of pastries and desserts.

Kouji Kouda: Doesn't have a favorite genre, but he tends to go for shows that emphasize the power of friendship and being connected to nature. That means his preferred shows can go from Heaven's Design Team to Dorohedoro, though.

Bonus!

Hitoshi Shinsou: Loves mystery and psychological thrillers. His favorite anime are Death Note, The Promised Neverland and Bungo Stray Dogs. However, he also shares Denki's love for Bananya, because he loves cats and sometimes wants a little seretonin, as a treat.

Ibara Shiozaki: Loves tragedy and romantic dramas. She doesn't know why, but watching a show that she knows ends badly, has a bittersweet conclusion or features a lot of angst is oddly cathartic. Her favorite anime are Full Moon, Your Lie in April and Fruits Basket. Her favorite anime film is A Silent Voice.

Detective Katsuki Bakugou’s 10,000 IQ

As foretold in ancient prophecy, I am finally making this post.

I don’t think this is something a lot of people missed or anything, but I just feel like it’d be super useful to compile all these moments in one place.

KATSUKI BAKUGOU FIGURES OUT THE SECRET OF OFA: A PICTURE BOOK

Season 1 Episode 8

Of course, we should start with that one time Izuku spilled the beans point-blank.

Honestly, not sure what Katsuki took out of this moment. He seems to just conclude, “That makes no sense even if that sentence was perfectly understandable.” Oh well. Buffering time!

Season 1 Episode 13

As the only one who realizes All Might is in hot water, Izuku jumps out to save All Might from Shigaraki and Kurogiri.

He breaks his legs from the force. The others can only look on in shock.

After Shigaraki flees and the cops arrive, the kids get called back to the bus to return to campus.

Katsuki is shown standing to the side alone, staring at the USJ and lost in thought.

We see a flashback of the scene that just occurred in this same episode, the scene where Izuku jumps to rescue All Might.

Except this time, there’s an added shot of Katsuki’s shocked reaction...

...highlighting that his reflection is introspection on this moment. Something surprised him about Izuku’s actions.

He’s pondering over whatever it is that bothers him. Whatever he concludes, he scoffs about.

Katsuki can’t be reacting to Izuku’s speed/power or the fact that he broke his own legs to save All Might; he’s already seen Izuku do such things. He’s reacting to the fact that Izuku thought All Might was in trouble. Why would Izuku think All Might of all people needs saving?

Mighty sus...

Season 2 Episode 6

Shouto confronts Izuku about the power he displayed in the cavalry battle and how it reminds him of All Might’s power. When he asks if Izuku is secretly All Might’s offspring, Izuku denies it, saying “that’s not it at all.” Shouto picks up on this strange choice of words...

...right where Katsuki can hear them.

At the end of the conversation, Izuku declares his motivation for the festival is his admiration of All Might.

He alludes to being supported by others, implying he has expectations placed on his shoulders.

Again, Katsuki hears the whole thing.

Katsuki leaves when Izuku finishes his speech. That’s all Katsuki needed to hear.

Chapter 61

I’m still mad this moment was removed from the anime. It’s so important.

Katsuki lets on that he plans to wear All Might down in order to defeat him. Izuku catches on.

Season 2 Episode 24

During the final exam, All Might confronts Katsuki about his attitude.

Note that Katsuki startles after All Might says the above line.

All Might tries to reason with Katsuki by using video game terminology. It takes more experience to level up when you’re level 50 as opposed to level 1. All Might hopes this logic will help Katsuki not be so frustrated about not improving at the same rate as Izuku.

Except All Might doesn’t realize he’s giving away the game. After hearing this, Katsuki logically would wonder why Izuku is considered level 1. Izuku should be the same level as everyone else, right? That is, assuming Izuku got his quirk at age 4 like Katsuki did...

Season 3 Episode 10

All Might comes to save Katsuki from All For One and the League of Villains. Upon clashing with All For One, All Might and he exchange pleasantries, each commenting on how the other seems worse off than the last time they met.

Katsuki hears the whole thing, learning that they know each other and that they are both weaker than they were in the past.

Not only is it important for Katsuki to know All Might has weakened, but knowing that these two have history adds another piece to the puzzle. After all, Katsuki will later learn from the police that All For One has the power to steal and bequeath quirks.

Season 3 Episode 11

After the incident in Kamino ward, All Might delivers his encouraging message to Japan.

Everyone cheers except for Izuku and Katsuki. While most people assume All Might’s message is a warning to other criminals, Izuku takes it to mean that All Might no longer has anything left of One For All. Izuku has to take on the burden of One For All by himself now.

Katsuki observes Izuku’s reaction.

Why would Izuku cry about All Might’s message? If he was going to cry about All Might’s retirement, it should have hit him before this moment, so it must have to do with the message itself.

Season 3 Episode 12

The Bakugou Rescue Squad delivers Katsuki to the police.

Katsuki has been silent ever since All Might’s message and Izuku’s reaction, clearly deep in thought.

Later, All Might and Aizawa are leaving Katsuki’s home when Katsuki comes out to confront All Might about his suspicions.

All Might gives a half-answer...

...and covers up the truth hidden in his words.

Katsuki doesn’t react, probably hoping All Might will say more.

He decides not to press further as his mother calls him back inside, likely reasoning that either All Might doesn’t want him to know or doesn’t want anyone else to hear.

Katsuki realizes that All Might is keeping the truth a secret, probably even from Aizawa.

Season 3 Episode 18

After the first round of the provisional license exam, Katsuki comments on Izuku’s quirk in such a way that implies he’s figured out the secret connection between Izuku and All Might.

Izuku’s reaction is another piece of the puzzle, confirming Katsuki’s suspicions.

Season 3 Episode 22

So Katsuki just asks Izuku about it in private.

(Izuku, you have no right to look so surprised.)

Katsuki lists a bunch of other evidence at this point, but they aren’t included in the visual story, hence this whole collage.
