Fruity notes like apples, peaches, pomegranates, raspberries, strawberries, and grapefruit are great choices for air energy. Something sassy, flirty, fun, and teasing. They can also pull off androgynes scents like sandalwood, orange blossom, aqua, and mint. 

Water (Pisces, Cancer, Scorpio)

Floral, feminine, and intense scents can complement their romantic and intuitive nature very well. Longevity is important for water-dominant personalities so they should focus more on the heart and base notes when they are looking for a fragrance for themselves. Scents like rose, cherry blossom, ylang-ylang, water-lilies, lotus, chamomile, gardenia, and eucalyptus. Water signs are notoriously known for their intensity and do not like superficiality of any kind in any aspect of their life, and this includes their fragrances. The notes need to be distinctive but also keep everyone guessing. Clean and powdery fragrances like talc are also popular notes that suit the clairvoyant and mysterious personality of the element.

Earth (Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn)

 Earth signs either smell like a woody meadow or an ice cream truck – no in between. They usually go for traditional, woody, and consistent perfumes. They are the type to go for quality over quantity. They have a thing for classical and vintage fragrances so they are not really going to go for super out-there notes as a fire or air sign would. They prefer traditional and natural notes like vanilla, lavender, rose, coconut, and honey. They might also like woody elements like pine, oak, cedar, moss, sandalwood, ginger, juniper, coriander, basil, fennel, and honey. They usually look for something well-rounded, sensual, and balanced rather than flashy, complicated, or overpowering. 

Fire (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius)

Energetic, passionate, creative, intellectual, and imaginative, fire signs are head turners. They are extroverts and charming and they will want a fragrance with intense facets and the ability to attract as well as protect. Signs belonging to this element do not go unnoticed. They are outspoken and feisty but warm and radiant. Dramatic and expressive these people do not shy away from the spotlight and deserve a fragrance that will also exude confidence. Fragrances that are oriental and flamboyant like musk, vetiver, oud, amber, frankincense, myrrh, and frangipani are something they can generally gravitate towards. Please give me your wips as highly specific candle scents (there can be more than one.)

Hello Sleepy! You always have such interesting questions! <3

I've never thought about candle scents before, so I'm leaning heavily on my knowledge of perfume scents.

I know Stella smells of vanilla, and Reilly smells of Sandalwood, but I feel like a candle to encapsulate Stolen would have citrus scents as a top note.

Antillune is a main port city, and they have lots of exotic goods coming in and out of the ports. There would be a seasalt scent too. But there's also be something earthy and woody, because on the land-side of the city they're bordered by a dense forest.

So maybe; Citrus, Licorice, Tuberose, and Sandalwood.

The Fey Touched Trilogy feels like it would be a simpler scent, less complex. Also lighter. So maybe; Jasmine, Peach, and Amber.

And I'm going to throw in the Chronicles of Verald for fun, because it's going to have such a different vibe to the other projects. It's a darker, gritter, series of books, and I feel like the scent-profile would reflect that. It would be a thicker, heavier, scent, so maybe something like... Cloves, Bergamot, Iris, Myrr, and Musk.

Okay Mod Blush is quickly becoming my favorite Ari perfume because it goes SO well when I put it on with other perfumes! I like to wear more than one at a time sometimes. I’ve already “mixed” it with like 10 other fragrances and the result is always so so good!

Drabble: Midnight in the Archives

Arikos waited a day to take suspicion off him, before making a trip back to the Grand Library under cover of night, hopping from building to building shadow; paradoxically darker opposite the Erdtree's light.

He'd gotten a glimpse of the entrance to the restricted rooms as per Godwyn's directions. The lock didn't look too terribly complicated to pick with some needles and his knives; however, he kept a bottle of acid spraymist just in case. He normally hated to touch anything brewed by the Depraved sort; however, in this case he found it terribly useful as a backup option.

One that he fortunately did not need, as it turned out. He'd have to dispose of that mixture somewhere afterwards. And it was much less dusty than expected. Perhaps due to the recent cleaning efforts.

That might make my life a bit easier. Maybe they moved those belongings here.

But there was one thing that was mentioned present in these archives that caught his attention in particular. Demigod correspondence. While there was no feasible way to read through ALL of it, given theft of the letters would immediately raise alarm, Arikos already had a plan. Look at the rough timeline of correspondence sent and received by my three educated guesses for suspects: Rykard, Ranni, and Miquella. One, he knew was a schemer and had declared intentions of war against Leyndell. The next, he didn't know much, positive or negative; every attempt of his 'bluntstone' mind to infiltrate the Carians and Raya Lucaria ended in failure. And the last...quite mysterious, but perhaps the most concrete: the likely creator of the Golden Epitaph, which had a prayer wishing for his "lord brother's" true death.

And from that skimming, which he couldn't tell if it took half an hour or five, revealed several interesting details. First, there was an above-average amount of correspondence between Ranni and Rykard. Second, Ranni's letters completely stopped before the Shattering even started. Third, Miquella's letters disappeared much earlier than expected during it. Finally, Rykard's stopped last, though Arikos already knew why from much more modern spying efforts; being willingly devoured by the Great Serpent. Curiouser and curiouser...I wonder if I can find something more explicitly about the Night of the Black Knives elsewhere.

He didn't know how many hours were left in the night...but Arikos was feeling lucky. And the most likely place to find that...would be case files. And he'd almost given up hope at it, until he found a padfolio that was noticeably more fancy, and dusty. Important, but long abandoned. Opened it up. "...Bingo," he had to slam his hand over his mouth to avoid drawing attention. A case long gone cold, that he would fortunately be able to lay to rest now. Skim, skim, skim. Many of the details were familiar, and he could even add some that this report was missing. And finally, a sentence that made him audibly gasp. "...The assassins scattered far and wide, and their locations remain unknown. However, one that made it to the vicinity of Liurnia before being lost only managed it because another of their ranks perished covering her escape..."

And then, the piece of the record that was the closest to home. His own arrest, and record of conviction.

The judgment of Arikos the Confessor.

Once guided by grace, he committed murder and high treason in conspiracy with the Black Knife assassins. He was one that struck down the noble retainers of Godwyn the Golden, thus enabling his demise.

May his name and legacy forever be shunned.

Though, the words stung less than he expected. The reason why, not a mystery. Because he'd already been forgiven for the greatest failure of the bunch. And maybe in time, that can be wiped off the record too. But...I must not overstay my welcome. Lest it all fall apart again. And so, Arikos carefully replaced the material in the library archives, dust and all. Carefully departed, and locked the door behind him. Went some distance away, to one of the lower tiers of the city in private. And then gripped a particular sample of Deathroot, kept far underneath his Perfumer's garb. Now seemed as good a time as any to report back, before the second, likely more tricky part of the operation.
