Tumblr media
Ok truth time: as obsessed as I was with Beetlejuice in all its forms as a kid, I never found the cartoon truly satisfying. It was cute and Tim Burtony, but in a very muted kind of way. Not enough death and too many silly puns. The Maitlands, Juno, and the Neitherworld Bureau of Afterlife Affairs (my name for it, honestly I don't think it was ever named) were completely absent, which I always found deeply disappointing. The show looked great, though, and it was sometimes pretty cool.
Tumblr media
But now after over 30 years and Beetlejuice getting a musical and a sequel and everything, I'm like, ok so where's my new cartoon? Every other IP from my youth is getting pimped out with new stuff, so surely another cartoon is down the pipeline. And after Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss, it would be a waste not to make it a musical with Alex Brightman. I dunno if Keaton would be cheap enough to hire as a VA, anyway. Just sayin.
Tumblr media
I realllly did not like the idea of the BJ musical at first, btw. I saw the performance at the Tonys and while I didn't hate it, I did dismiss it as pretty cringey. I fully admit to having been a musical theater snob, and anything from the 80's onward has generally been "Pop Culture IP: the Musical" and a waste of time in my estimation. I've only really liked Soundheim and the few original musicals that have come out in recent years. And yes, Lion King was good.
Tumblr media
But Vivziepop has ruined my life and now all I think about is animated shows for adults, musical theater, and most of all, musical theater boys. Damn Jeremy Jordan and his fucking angelic vocal chords. Curse Alex Brightman and that cartoony, growly thing he does. Fuck Christian Borle and his sexy asshole characters (but no seriously, can I please?)
Tumblr media
So back to my first point, which is: where's my animated series/movie that perfectly combines all three iterations of Beetlejuice (movie, cartoon, musical) into one satisfying package? The one where Juno and the Afterlife Affairs office are back and things are gruesome and a bit scary but wildly fun? Where Beetlejuice can swear and smoke and do completely offensive things that are only acceptable for an amoral demon/poltergeist/whatever to do? Where he and Lydia are close pals again and she gives as good as she gets? Where the music is both Danny Elfman-like and Eddie Perfect-esque and the animation is either stop-motion or 2D and the style looks like an homage to every BJ property that came before?
*holds out hand* I'll take that NOW, please and thank you very much.

it still drives me insane how i got so autistically into oingo boingo and danny elfman literally months before the allegations came out... and of course oingo boingo i can listen to detached from that because it was a whole band with other people and all but.. some stuff is sort of like... especially his newer album to me is unlistenable now, what pisses me off the most is he put up this stupid fucking punk feminist like front like "kick me" lyrics being about old self absorbed pervy celebs/billionaires who treat people wrong like... thats literally you you fake old bitch !!!! and also this whole 2020's midlife crisis mental snap complete change in look and teaming up with younger cool punk leftist edgy artists and shit like. now considering the nature of the alleged things he did in the past maybe im reaching but it feels... suspect. that he was worming into those circles working with legit really cool people and everyone talking about how hes so fucking cool and reinventing himself and all this reverence he would receive is like nauseating now. particularly what bothers me on top of all that is working with all these young women the same age as the two alleged victims.... it just feels creepy to me because the allegations werent out yet during all that time and i cant help but be paranoid. the women he manipulated both were younger and looked up to him and because of that they put up with a lot of weird shit he did and they felt they had to because he was... danny elfman... he was their mentor figure like.... anyways im just saying i really hope he hasnt done anything similar since the time of the most recent accusations, but most recent was literally 2015-2017 that was just a few years agoooo!!! it all feels so fake now just... reinventing out of nowhere to be this shirt off tatted ripped sort of damaged eyeliner edgy rockstar that in hindsight feels so ick... its crazy i really thought he was genuinely cool and all but now its like.... well... [puts bleach in my eyes]

Where The Stars Collide
AO3
Summary: When Team Natsu return from Edolas with Lisanna, the consequences set off a series of chain reactions across the Kingdom of Fiore, disturbing the long held peace between the wizard guilds and the Magic Council. Lucy Heartfilia is heartbroken to find that the celestial gate key of one of her oldest spirits, Aquarius, is missing, and with the help of Loke, her more-than-a-friend turned spirit, she sets off on a quest to recover it. Natsu Dragneel has had enough of waiting and joins Gajeel Redfox, Wendy Marvell, and a very, very reluctant Juvia Lockser on a mission to finally find the Dragons that left them all those years ago. At the same time, a mysterious prophecy is circulating around the town of Magnolia, tying two of Fairy Tail's strongest members and childhood sweethearts Gray Fullbuster and Cana Alberona into a tale of bitter and bloody revenge; and an ominous presence lurks on Tenrou Island, infecting the once-holy grounds. What will become of Fiore's fiercest protectors? What will happen to Fairy Tail?
prologue | 1 | 2 | TBC
1.1 : Mira
Mirajane Strauss knew better than to believe in miracles.
Magnolia was a metropolitan city soaked in more than its fair share of culture, marinating in so many different types of magic that even the most dedicated of archives couldn’t keep track of them all— celestial wizards, elemental mages, rune magic and healing spells, mimicry, puppeteering, requipping— but miracles were not one of them.
Of course there was an array of wish fulfilment and illusion magicks, tricks and trades that even the sleaziest castors knew to manipulate, but nothing could bring back someone from the dead. Nothing good anyway. Mira had long stopped peering into that part of her soul. So when she left with her brother to visit her little sister’s grave located in the cathedral church, one gloomy day, she didn’t expect to find a miracle waiting for her.
The door to the guild hall swung shut behind her and the scent of rain hesitantly kissed her nose, the smile on her face giving way to nothing. It had been 5 years since the incident. She could hear the guild members on the other side of the door recall the story in hushed tones. Lisanna would’ve turned 19 this summer. Her breath hitched and she swiped at her dry cheeks. Save your tears for the graveyard, a gentle voice in her head whispered, spring will be over soon.
A soft creaking noise and a large, warm hand on her left shoulder nudged her out of her reverie.
“Mira, we’re here.”
She blinked. The Kardia Cathedral loomed before them: located right in the heart of the town, a near fifteen minute walk from the guild hall, its four cylindrical pillars holding up the enormous green-domed building. It was one of Fiore’s more pretentious tourist traps, with billions of jewels being spent on the flattering archways, the high vaulted ceiling and the pristine marble floors, and little to nothing on its inhabitants. Any priests that survived the meagre wages never showed their faces, preferring to give sermons behind silk or wood screens to largely empty pews.
It was also where Laxus challenged Natsu and the others when he held his coupe.
“We’re here” she replied dully.
The creaking was coming from a tiny gate on the east side of the church, the path to the graveyard. Unlike her brother, Elfman, Mira wasn’t alarmed by her brief lapse of memory; she’d been forgetting more and more things lately. It always happens around this time of year, she noted, latching the gate into place.
Lisanna’s gravestone was one in a long row of similar grey, rounded tablets, inscribed with the Fairy Tail’s sigil, vertically apart from an empty stone coffin. Elfman opened a red umbrella just as a drop of rain plopped onto Mira’s head and they both stood quietly as it pattered around the two siblings, soaking their shoes and nearly all of Elfman’s hair.
Empty, because her sister disappeared right in her own two hands, she mused as she took the bouquet of lilies from her brother and placed it on the  grave’s flat, shiny surface.
Empty, because there wasn’t even a body to bury or burn, there wasn’t a single pice of her sister she could hold on to, only the memories of her bruises and the blood. So much blood. There were days where she would wake up in cold sweat, fingers wrapped around torn sheets because she couldn’t remember her sister’s face, just blood and a high pitched wailing. How could you Mira. How could you.
She didn’t know why she kept coming back here; Lisanna never had any fondness for churches and although Mira knew about the second grave that Natsu had built for her sister in a hut in the East Forest, where they had spent their childhood, she could never bring herself to visit it. Two graves were not better than one.
Mirajane looked around at the rows of headstones that surrounded her and for the first time in five long years, wondered how many of them were as hollow as their visitors.
Then she crouched down and ran her thumb along the smooth edge of the stone and sighed, her cheeks wet only from the rain: every year she told herself that the tears would come this time, and every year they never did. Both the Strauss siblings shared this strange grief. It was almost as though they were afraid that if the tears returned, Lisanna wouldn’t. If they could hold on for a little longer then maybe—
Maybe what? She’d come back? The thought was red hot and stung, sharper than a slap. Mira absentmindedly touched her cheek to check for a mark.
The bell began to toll.
Grow up Mirajane, your sister is dead. This voice sounded like her own, bitter and resentful, warped with pain and something she couldn’t name, spinning round and round in her head in time with the tolling.
Your sister is dead and it’s your fault.
It’s your fault.
It’s your fault.
It’s your fault.
It’s-
“Mira!”
Mirajane shook her head and looked up at Elfman, who stared back at her bemusedly.
Did she imagine it?
“Big Brother Elf!"
There was no way.
She turned around to see a girl running towards them, unbothered by the rain— with short white hair like the siblings, and blue eyes sparkling with tears. Mira thought she saw the distinct frames of Natsu and Erza behind the girl. What was going on?
“Mira.. I think I might be hallucinating” Elfman whispered quietly, the umbrella slipping out of his hand; it fell to the ground with little protest.
“It can’t be-” she murmured, wrapping her arms around herself. Something vicious inside of her quieted.
Five years. Five long years of waiting and waiting.
“It can’t be.” She repeated. Mira tried to clench her palms to keep them from shaking.
“Lisanna?”
The girl seemed to glow when her name was said, taking a step, two steps forward before throwing herself into the sister she hadn’t seen in so long. Mirajane didn’t realise she was crying until  she pressed her cheeks into the girl’s shoulder, dampening her warm skin- she was alive and she was warm and she was, she was-
home.
“Welcome home.”
In her twenty-two years on Earthland, that was the first miracle Mirajane Strauss had ever seen. Soon after, she would wish that it was the last.
1.2 : Lucy
Something was bothering Lucy Heartfilia.
It begun the moment they left Edolas, a persistent itch, like a stray eyelash, that prodded at her subconscious, demanding her attention. They were making their way back to the guild after Lisanna’s tearful reunion with her siblings and Lucy couldn’t shake the feeling that she was forgetting something important. Gray was the first one to notice.
“Everything okay, Lucy?” He asked as he watched her fiddle with the cloak Natsu had given her, looking mildly frustrated.
“Huh- yeah it’s probably nothing, I’m just a little shaky from the anima I guess” she shrugged, her hand immediately reaching for the pouch of keys safely tucked into her belt, and releasing a small breath of air as she confirmed their presence for the fifth time. No matter how quickly she seemed to lose her clothes each time she went on a mission, her keys seemed immune to this particular trait; a fact that Lucy was grateful for every time they fought a villain with any fondness for water. Her hair really couldn’t take more of this.
Gray nodded and ran a hand through his hair, a strange expression Lucy couldn’t pinpoint— sad? wistful? crossing his face.
“I know what you mean, Edolas was really something… different” Erza interrupted, placing an armoured hand on both of their shoulders as they neared the guild hall. She’d been quick to requip back into her usual attire when they’d landed, Lucy noted— the return back to their world seemed to have recharged most of their powers, but her emotional batteries were spent. And of course, there was that itching feeling.
Lucy was just about to unhook her pouch and start counting through all thirteen of her keys when Elfman flung open the doors and a collective gasp descended on Fairy Tail as Mirajane walked in, protectively clutching a girl they hadn’t seen in five years; a girl they all thought dead.
“There’s no way. . .”
An explosive welcome would be putting it lightly— the guild hall erupted with happiness, confusion, relief. Lisanna was alive? Lisanna was alive! How could Lisanna be alive?
Lucy was unfortunately thrust right into the flood of tears and hugs eclipsing the newly undead Edolas refugee right alongside Natsu, Erza, Gray and Wendy.
Gajeel hung back, seemingly content with whispering to his newly found Exceed instead. He caught her staring and glowered until she turned away, Lucy wondered if she’d ever figure that guy out.
Master Makarov’s face had gone pale and he muttered something under his breath; if Lucy didn’t know better she’d think it was a prayer. Lisanna extricated herself from the crowd and knelt in front of him, pulling the tiny, old man into a fierce hug. A hush fell on the room as the usually upbeat and cheerful guild master’s eyes flooded with tears, before the shouts of joy rang out louder and clearer this time.
“Lisanna’s home!”
“She’s home!”
“Natsu brought her back from the dead!”
“Not just Natsu— Erza too!”
“She’s alive!”
“My beloved Gray, you’ve finally returned! I was getting so worried!”
The last one was from Juvia Lockser. The tearful (was she crying this whole time?) water mage flung her arms around Gray much to his chagrin and the two nearly tumbled into Cana who was nursing her second barrel of mead that day.
“Watch it!” Cana snapped as she shifted the cask onto another table, sounding grumpier than usual, Lucy noticed. She’d have to make sure to ask Cana what was wrong later. But for now- Lucy managed to pull herself away from the crowd and dropped back long enough to catch her breath and watch curiously as Gray led Juvia right out the wooden doors from which they arrived.
Maybe his time in Edolas had changed the way he saw her, Lucy pondered, hands drifting to her pouch once more. It had certainly changed the way she’d seen Mystogan, the man with the face of the most wanted criminal in Earthland— and Edolas’ lost prince. Or maybe it hadn’t changed anything at all, she frowned, catching sight of a tired Wendy rubbing her red-rimmed eyes as her exceed, Carla, berated her for being un-ladylike. Maybe it had made things worse.
A flash of golden light interrupted Lucy before she could go over to comfort the girl, and she caught a glimpse of tawny gold hair before she was staring into the hazel eyes of her favourite (though she’d never admit it) Celestial Spirit. If it wasn’t for the out-of-the-blue appearance, Lucy would have realised that it was the first time she’d ever seen him without his blue-tinted sunglasses.
“Lucy!” She could instantly tell that something wasn’t right. Loke never showed up without some grand gesture accompanying him and he’d never showed up looking so distressed before.
“What’s wrong?”
“There’s no time to explain,” he shook his head and clasped her palm in his own, motioning for her to follow as he led them both behind the bar counter. Her guild mates were too caught up in the festivities to pay any attention to them.
“You have your keys, right?” She nodded and unhooked the pouch from the belt at her waist, pulling out the ring of keys that were her most prized possession. Loke quickly let go of her hand and handed her one of the many half-filled wooden goblets that lined the counter.
“I need you to summon Aquarius right away”
“With.. mead?” Lucy winced as she recalled The Water Bearer’s infamous temper when she summoned her once using water from a fish bowl— and just her temper in general.
“Don’t you think we should use normal-“
“Lucy, please.”
Lucy blinked and looked up. Loke looked the most disheveled she’d ever seen him, his trademark red tie missing, his shirt collar askew; his usual charm and charisma overshadowed by something that bordered on desperation.
“She might smell like mead for a while but otherwise she’ll be unscathed” he insisted, holding out the cup.
His voice was hoarse, as though he’d been screaming for hours and the shadows under his eyes were bruised purple; Lucy had a strong feeling he hadn’t even slept since the Edolas fight— but his panic was infecting her now, the bad feeling she’d been having all evening suddenly pooling into dread in the pit of her stomach.
“Alright” her fingers tightened on the key ring.
Lucy knew she was fortunate enough to possess contracts with 9 out of twelve of the zodiac spirits at this point, with Aries, Scorpio and Gemini being the latest additions to the team, but Aquarius had been with her the longest.
Their relationship often reminded her of Wendy and Carla’s, Aquarius was always correcting her, prodding at her, pointing out all her mistakes, but when it came down to it, Lucy knew Aquarius would protect her in a heartbeat. It’s why she rarely called on her strongest spirit; Aquarius would protect her a little too well.
That, and it was hard to find many water bodies that she’d consider appealing.
“Aries, Sagittarius, Virgo.. wait that’s not right-” Lucy frowned and held the ring up closer to her face.
“Lucy?”
“Hold on- Virgo, Leo, Taurus.. no, no this can’t be happening!”
Loke’s face lost all colour. The goblet clattered to the floor, splashing both their feet with lukewarm amber liquid.
“The key.. it’s—“ her voice rose with panic.
gone.
“Loke!”
Lucy barely made it in time to catch him before his knees buckled, and he fainted in her arms.
1.3 : Juvia
Juvia Lockser was convinced that nothing in the world mattered more than love.
After all, it was love that had saved her from falling and shattering into a million little raindrops. It was love that helped her find a new home after her guild was destroyed. It was love that had showed her the sun for the first time.
And it was minor technicality really, that her love hadn’t admitted that he loved her back.. yet.
But Juvia had nothing if not faith. She’d read enough novels to know that enough crying and near-death situations (both of which were easy to find) could solve the romantic tension between any pair of lovebirds, no matter how unlikely they were: ‘the bad boy and the good girl’, ‘the socialite and the socially awkward’, ‘the billionaire and the.. wait didn’t she do this one already?’
Either way, the book would insist that the main couple always ended up together, even if it took a contrived turn of events to make it that way, and while Juvia lost all interest in it after they became an item, she too wanted that kind of heart-racing romance— and she’d cry the whole ocean if it meant she could have it.
That’s why she was caught completely off guard when her beloved Gray Fullbuster pulled her aside and told her that it’s over.
“W-What?” She must’ve been hearing things; there’s no way that he would-
“I don’t like you like that, and I feel like I’ve led you on by not making it clear enough,” Gray sighed running a hand through his already mussed black hair. It had barely been ten minutes into their arrival when he’d asked her to join him outside, a few steps away from the brightly lit guild hall, and Juvia should’ve known that something was off immediately.
Gray was missing a shirt (not new) and covered in budding bruises (also not new), but his shoulders were slouched and his eyes were glazed over, as though he was somewhere else entirely. From what Juvia could tell, they’d all just traveled back from some kind of magic-draining endeavour, she couldn’t remember much from that morning, had they taken a job?
“You’re not leading me on, darling I don’t—“
“See, that’s what I mean,” he said, irritation creeping into his voice, “can’t you just stop with all that darling crap? We’re not together.”
Juvia flinched as a raindrop struck her bare shoulder and trickled down her upper back. She didn’t understand where it had come from, the sky was clear just a moment ago.
Gray pulled her towards a nearby kiosk to shelter from the incoming downpour, and they settled onto two unopened barrels. Juvia’s breath came out in white puffs, she hadn’t realised how cold it had gotten, and Gray’s entire torso was streaked with rain. Although he must’ve been freezing, his expression hadn’t shifted at all; serious and stern, only the shadows under his eyes betraying his exhaustion.
“If you just gave me a chance,” she began, reaching out to touch his cheek, to close the distance between them and pretend his words didn’t hurt; all fated couples had arguments before they got together officially -  this was probably just her moment to confess her undying love; she could still turn this around.. right?
“Juvia,” she blinked as he looked at her bemusedly, eyes unreadable as ever; holding her wrist an inch away from his face, “You don’t deserve this.”
“You deserve to be with someone who loves you back.”
Juvia felt as though she would faint with relief. Is that what this was all about?
Her beloved Gray didn’t hate her, he just felt unworthy of her love. She’d come across this trope so many times that she was almost disappointed in herself for not seeing it sooner. Of course he wasn’t rejecting her, he would never even think to do such a thing. Their love was too vast and too deep for him to simply cast aside with a few words. He was probably just embarrassed that he couldn’t be as forward about his affections as she was.
“Oh Gray,” she said, her voice softening as he quickly dropped her hand and crossed both his own over the black guild mark on his chest, “You don’t have to worry about me.”
Gray blinked.
“You know that I’ll wait for you. I’ll wait as long as it takes to make you love me back,” she gushed, “I can’t believe that all this time you were worried about me and my feelings, you wouldn’t do that if you didn’t care for me at least a little.”
“Uh-“ he opened his mouth to protest, but Juvia was on a roll.
“Oh I really did pick the perfect man didn’t I?” She squealed, completely oblivious to his growing discomfort, “You’re so sweet and attentive and tortured and cold—“
“I wouldn’t say tortured—“
“And you’re right we should definitely take it slow, I’ll hold off on the nicknames for now, after all we don’t want our future children to think we’re not cool enough to be their parents or some equally ridiculous notion.”
“Future children?!” Gray spluttered in disbelief.
“And you care so much about hurting my feelings because you think you can’t give me the love I deserve but it’s not true because no one else but you make me feel-“
“Juvia!” She winced as he took hold of her shoulders, his icy fingers digging into her pale skin, and met his frustrated look with one of total bewilderment. Had she done something wrong?
“Sorry,” he let go of her immediately, pulling away and putting his head in his hands instead. An uncomfortable silence saturated the conversation and Juvia thought she could hear the faint chirping of crickets in the distance. A few seconds passed and then—
“Have you ever thought about my feelings?” The words came out quiet and matter-of-fact, as though he had suppressed the urge to say it many times over.
The ground could have disappeared underneath her feet at that moment and Juvia wouldn’t have noticed. His feelings? He’d saved her, his sworn enemy, in their very first encounter hadn’t he? And he’d welcomed her into his guild— he wouldn’t have done the same for just anyone, would he?
“Gray, I’m sorry if I did something to make you dislike me,” Juvia said, her voice barely a whisper, almost lost in the plinkplinkplink of the rain spilling from the tiled roof onto the pavement.
“I can fix it. If you tell me what it is, I won’t do it again.”
The silence returned, thick enough that she could feel it bore into her skull and pound at her temples. Silence like soaked cotton filling her lungs; silence that clung to her skin, heavy enough to drown in.
“-if I love someone else..” he said finally.
Gray looked at her then and Juvia realised that she’d never heard such weariness in his voice before.
“What?”
“And if I love someone else? Will you fix that too?”
Juvia had only ever known what it was like to drown once. It happened when she was six years old and the orphanage had taken them on a trip to the community pool as a treat.
The children were warned to stay away from the deep end everyone duly obliged, until it begun to rain. She couldn’t remember if she’d slipped or if someone had pushed her but the water was suddenly everywhere. In her ears, in her nose, it was suffocating her, dragging her down down down into its icy depths, the pressure in her lungs building and building, until she woke up retching in a medical ward.
The doctors promised her that they were able to get to her in time, and there was no cause for worry but Juvia never quite stopped believing that every drop of water she swallowed would somehow drip drip drip its way into her chest and fill her up until there was no room for anything else. That she would die a true Rain Woman. That was, of course, up till now, up until Gray.
Until she realised that this wasn’t her love story after all.
“You know what, forget it.” he mumbled, dispelling both the echoes of her past and the damp stillness they’d been sitting in, with his defeated sigh.
“You’re.. in love with someone else?”
“It doesn’t matter anymore.”
Gray’s eyes were cloudy again, his gaze fixated on something behind her shoulder but when she turned around all she saw were a few displaced barrels and a deck of playing cards atop one of them. There was no one else here. It was just her and him and the rain falling down around them as witness.
“But- but I love you, Gray”
Juvia hated her voice then. She hated how it cracked and spilled onto the pavement, mixing with the rain and the remnants of her love. She hated how it made her sound petulant, like a spoiled child in a store and how it couldn’t stop the tears that streaked down her face - desperate, hot, shameful tears that wouldn’t cease.
“I’m sorry,” he said, absentmindedly running a thumb over the shiny silver cross at his neck.
“I didn’t want to hurt you.”
“I see,” she said dully, emotion draining from of her words, her eyes. A sharp ache began to gnaw at her ribcage.
For the first time since she’d met him, Juvia wondered if he was telling the truth. Gray didn’t meet her gaze as he stood up and walked back into the rainy streets of Magnolia City.
Away from the kiosk, away from the guild and away from her; leaving the rain woman alone with a heart she’d shattered all on her own.

Rambling about Fairies - Manga Chapter 175
Tumblr media
Another very dark parallel.
“Welcome home” is a phrase that, until this point, has been time and again associated with love, belonging, and comforting safety.
I love that this "Welcome Home" contrasts Lisanna's at the end of the arc. They are both unexpected (this is an unexpected welcome, Lisamna is an unexpected arrival.) This one throws the exceeds into a despair that's been foreshadowed since the start of the arc (Extalia then proceeds to tell them lies about their fake mission); but Lisanna's welcome home promises long-awaited return after years of lying, (to finally go back to her true home and comfort).
While Happy's parents fought tooth and nail to refuse sending Happy down to Earth only to fail, Edolas Mira and Elfman bit back their tears and let her go even though they loved Lisanna as much as they did their own sister.
Anyways.
Mashima takes that "Welcome Home" symbol and tips it over its head here to turn it into despair.
I wish Mashima took more dark turns like this. Take something we treasure beyond anything and just destroy it in front of our eyes so we can find a way to fix it, instead of pretending to take some things away only to give it back later with little consequence.

Dancing in the Rain
Summary: Evergreen’s family is hosting a party, and she invites the others. Freed doesn’t know how to dance, but Bixlow’s new friend does.
Notes: VAGUELY mentions ElfEver once! also, I pulled cards from my Oracle deck from this and... got these 2? which was perfect oh my gosh???
[ ORACLE DECK: The winter melts away ; the warmth of my love Spring is blooming. It’s beautiful ]
Dancing in the Rain
Winter is ending; with it, the flowers will come back into bloom, filling the world with colour and rainy weather once again. Freed doesn't mind the rain, the butterflies and fireflies that come out with it. He enjoys the season, actually - plus, his friend Evergreen kept telling him that spring was the season for romance. Maybe, this would be his season.
He wishes on the dandelions he passes, throwing his wishes away to the dandelion seeds, watching the wind carry them away. It’s a silly thing really, but he couldn’t help but to stop and stare at any dandelions he passed. He isn’t sure where he heard the stories, but he’d seen enough children make wishes on them to know how it goes. (Though, the kids often had strange wishes, full of robots or odd creatures. None of them were out here dreaming about romance, he’s sure.)
The winter melts away, and spring blooms in its place. Freed goes out more, hoping love will bloom within the flowers, hoping that the rain won’t drown out his wishes. He visits his friends more, even if Evergreen continues to tease him for struggling to find someone.
“Uuuugh,” Ever groans, laying across the table they sit at, “I have a dumb family event coming up, and I have to bring a partner. Obviously, I can drag along my friends, but - a partner?” She sits up fast, fixing her hair. “Do I invite Elfman?”
“Uh-” Freed stammers, thinking over the question, even though he doesn’t see the exact problem. “Yes?” He asks, uncertain, but Ever seems content with his answer. “Anyways, what about Bixlow?”
“Ah, he’s bringing a friend here. Wants him to join, I guess? They’ll be here…” She pauses, checking her phone. “...soon.” She settles on, and Freed quickly guesses they’re late. It’s not unusual for Bixlow to get lost or forget where they’re meeting, especially if he’s bringing someone along.
The two arrive in another minute, bringing along a bag and some drinks for the group - Freed doesn’t check to see what exactly they’re holding, too distracted by the man standing behind Bixlow. He’s tall. He has short blond hair, and a strange scar going over his face that resembles a lightning bolt. Bixlow introduces the man as Laxus, and the name immediately sticks in Freed’s head. Laxus. He’s kind of… pretty?
“Bixlow. New friend. You’re both invited to the party, of course.” Evergreen nods, adjusting her glasses, “You all have suits? Know how to dance?” She asks, squinting up at Laxus as he nods.
“Ever.” Freed sighs, putting his head in his hands, “I can’t dance.”
“Mhm, remember when Erza tried teachin him? Just spun him in circles!” Bix laughs at the memory, ignoring Freed’s flushed expression.
“Hm,” Laxus clears his throat, setting the bag of food down onto the table. “I could… teach you? I’m not an amazing teacher, but…” He frowns and scratches the back of his neck, avoiding the trio's stares. Freed blinks, wide-eyed, silent for a minute.
“Please do, or else he will step all over my feet.” Evergreen huffs, curiously looking through the bag. “That’s fine, yea? Freed?” She pulls out a muffin and looks back at the green-haired man, raising an eyebrow at him. Freed quickly looks away from Laxus and nods, thankful someone might be patient enough to teach him.
.
They meet again the next weekend, just the two of them, giving proper introductions and getting to know each other while sharing muffins and coffee. Evergreen was apparently easy to convince, and Laxus now knew Freed’s entire order at the group's favorite cafe - Freed wasn’t complaining though.
“So, you three have been friends for a long time then…” Laxus smiles fondly, and the expression surprises Freed. “It’s not weird with me here now, yea?”
Freed quickly shakes his head, eyes wide. “Not at all!” He grins, setting his iced coffee down, “You’re more than welcome to join us. Plus, if you can handle Bixlow, you can handle Ever.” The two laugh, falling into more conversation easily.
It’s not for another week that Laxus meets Freed at the park to practice dancing, finding him relaxing underneath a tree, eyes shut. He assumes Freed’s asleep at first and sits nearby, enjoying the bright sun. It is a nice enough day for this, only a few big clouds out.
“Really pretty, right?” Freed asks, watching Laxus. “It’s been raining for a while now. I'm glad it stopped for today." Laxus turns toward him, and their eyes meet. There's an expression Freed can't read, but it's quickly replaced with a nervous smile.
"Well, let's dance?" Laxus pushes himself to stand, brushing any dirt off of his pants. "If you're ready to, anyways. Just, watch my feet." He jokes, pulling Freed to stand also, and - Freed has to remind himself to breathe for a minute, not expecting Laxus to be so strong. They stand together, Laxus placing one hand on Freed's shoulder, the other sliding down to hold his hip, and Freed thinks he's really going to die now. There's no way he'll survive this dance.
They practice easy steps at first; forward, right, back, left, repeat. Spin slowly, watching where they’re moving, trying to avoid stepping on each others feet. It becomes easier over time, the stepping, the spinning. Time melts into quick steps and easy laughter, uncaring even when the clouds grow darker.
Thunder crackles, and the rain falls quick. Freed stumbles, falls into Laxus, and there's strong arms holding onto him. His face flushes a deep red, but he makes no move to pull away.
"Do you wanna go to this event... together?" He asks, craning his head to look up at Laxus. The other hums, smiles down at him, and nods. Spring love blossoms with a dance.
Maybe dandelions work after all?

@animalssoul approached: “ admit it. . . Youre happy i didnt die. “ djjdhdjejdhjddj
Tumblr media
There was nothing to admit, not really. It was all out there in the open. If the bickering and teasing were the forest branches swaying in the wind, then the utmost care and platonic, or brotherly, affection for Leslie were the very roots. The foundation.
The query struck Freed unprepared and he froze in place where he was carrying out some of dry his sword combat practices. Seeing Leslie approach out of the corner of his eyes had almost educed a huff, imagining the possible ruckus that may be on the other man's mind. It wasn't a thought driven by sincere annoyance (often times anyway. Leslie could very well annoy the hell out of him) or displeasure and such truth would always resonate in their interactions.
Tumblr media
Usually Freed was quick and unafraid to seek out direct eye-contact. This time, however, he had his cerluean gaze pinned to the ground concealing the swirl of emotion in its depths from Leslie's view. Long hair pulled up in a high pony tail, bangs covering one of his eyes as usual with some more loose strands hanging stray. The grip on his weapon had tightened for but a mere moment as memories flooded his mind, memories he'd rather stayed in the past. He wished they were untrue, just a lie, but they were part of his story. Of their story.
Freed let his gaze wander towards the blade of his sword, the very sword that assisted him in almost all of his battles. While not dependent on it, it was still a regularly utilized tool that made sure he ended up victorious. A tool used to defeat his opponents without a trace of mercy.
A tool that had been used to cause harm to people he cared for… A tool that had tortured those who had always been his family even if, at some point, he had wanted to deny that. A tool that had brought tears to Leslie's sister's face making her re-face her trauma. A tool that had almost killed Leslie's brother.
He had almost killed Leslie's brother.
While he had come to terms with the things he had done because he had to in order to move on, he'd never forget them and he'd never forget what great kindness and forgiveness all of his guild mates had been, and still were, willing to show towards him.
Freed's gaze finally jolted up. The moment of silence felt like eternity, though it had likely been mere seconds. His tool was dropped to the ground, not sheathed within its scabbard, as a sense of rancor overcame him. Leslie was very much alive and he couldn't be any gladder that this was a truth. How would things be if he had succeeded in killing Elfman? There were multiple possibilities… He could be dead himself, perhaps Mirajane would not have been able to stop herself despite the immense amount of kindness in her blooming heart. He would have deserved this very outcome but he possibly would have given Mira more trauma and regret to carry along with in the process. Even if he had died there, the consequences would have been grave. Mira had been forced to do something she despised, Elfman would be dead and Leslie… Leslie would return upon finding what had transpired.
None of these things had transpired, and thank Mavis they hadn't, and nevertheless… Freed was unable to oppress these raging thoughts at this very moment.
"You are very well aware of my answer already, are you not?" Finally, he met Leslie's gaze with his own. For once, no effort was made to hide the emotion playing on his visage, though deep voice maintained composure. Did Leslie not know the answer? Did he actually have to ask for clarity? The thought stung. Leslie deserved to know that he actually cared and nothing less. "Are you not?" The repeated query was spoken with certain vigor and his feet began to move on their own, closing the distance between the other man and himself.
At first hesitant to do so, his hands found Leslie's shoulders gripping them lightly after all and he looked down at him. "Of course I'm glad that you're here." That you didn't die. There was an utter lack of teasing names or playful hints.
"I am…" Openly speaking from his heart was still difficult at times. His family, friends, partner… They all had helped him to learn and unlearn things that needed to be learned and unlearned. But at times it was a struggle still. "I am grateful that you allowed me to remain a part of your life so we could nourish the bond we share nowadays. That is… not something taken for granted. Not with all the anguish that I have inflicted in the past." Leslie had become so dear to his heart that the loss of this bond in his life was hurtful to imagine. They had gone through good and through bad times. He was fond of their bickering even if it grated on his nerves more often than not, he loved returning the teasing in full force and he wished for Leslie to find happiness in his life. If he needed advice he knew he could always approach Freed and Freed knew the same was true the other way round. He would protect Leslie with his life, he wanted him to be safe.
The initial movement was hesitant but he found that it became easier as soon as he'd set his mind on executing it. One arm wrapped around Leslie in a slightly awkward hug whilst the other of his hands found the back of Leslie's head, in a soothing gesture almost. If Leslie really needed this reassurance, if he really had doubts about Freed being glad that he was still alive… Then he wanted to take them all from him. Because-
"I am happy you're still alive."

my thoughts on Netflix's Wednesday
alright so i've been hearing other people's thoughts on the show to see if i missed anything or if someone understood how i felt and yeah these two videos by Mina Le and film fatales pretty much get the basics of why i can't stand the show as an adaptation of the Addams Family or even as its own show.
youtube
youtube
okay now my thoughts: if you haven't read them yet and would like to, feel free to go read my thoughts on most of the important moments in all the episodes in detail as I experienced them here. the tags are where the juiciest stuff is so make sure to read those actually. anyway, all my previous critiques that I made literally on episode 1 still stand now having finished the show, this is absolutely a horrendously (derogatory) Tim Burton project, it's very much an encapsulation of his worst tendencies to me, a lot of the show is very much "oh we're so edgy and nobody gets me and we're so oppressed because we like being on our own". Tim. you are 64 years old. I think it may be time for a new shtick. teens deserve better than this.
anyway, yeah, the show has a needlessly complex mystery with very predictable endings and just generally bad writing overall and it's just not really that fun? the only real standouts were the dance scene obviously and most of episode 7 like I said. like, episode 7 was genuinely really enjoyable although some of it is just because it's so refreshing after the slop of the rest of the show. it feels like the only episode where the show gets close to actually understanding the Addams Family and like someone actually cared about how things sounded like the dialogue and pacing and everything about it is so much better than anything in the previous episodes. episode 5 is particularly egregious because we literally started the season with Wednesday lamenting how she couldn't successfully kill someone. she (and the rest of the Addams Family) would not give a single flying fuck about Gomez killing anyone. fuck, if they cared, it would be a thing to boast about like Morticia would go: "remember that time Gomez killed a man and saved me?" and vigorously make out with Gomez immediately. the very premise of the episode is flawed. this is an extremely middling mystery show attached to the Addams Family name for mostly marketing purposes. none of it feels like there was any reason for it to feature these characters. also like the Addams' also work best as a family and when contrasted against other "normal" people so separating Wednesday AND throwing her into a school full of freaks who for some reason think SHE'S too freaky???? a highly misguided choice to say the least.
this should have either been a 4-5 episode miniseries or a ~3 hour movie. I would honestly let them keep the fluff too with the movie so you know it's incredibly bloated on a fundamental level. the mystery does not deserve more than a 4-5 hour runtime and the show is absolutely bloated for what it actually does have to offer. Jenna is the highlight of this but also?? every single other actor, with the rare exception of the actors for Pugsley and Fester (and kinda Gomez too like I liked Luis but his material really dragged his performance down), was just awful like they really did not understand how to deliver their lines (although some [most] of that is the writing). even Brienne of Tarth was like ??? not good?? like her material wasn't great, just like everyone else, but every line she delivered was basically the fucking same and she always delivered it with a smile except for a couple of scenes which made her performance really grating after a while. like none of it is completely terrible, most of it is serviceable but they are made so much worse bc Jenna is a goddamn star and fucking kills it in every single scene. she's always at 500% and doing her best even though the writing really does not give her much to work with.
anyway, if you're not a Jenna Ortega stan or really care about Danny Elfman scoring something, feel free to avoid Wednesday, you really won't be getting anything out of it other than bad writing and bad acting and a horrible adaptation of the Addams Family. truly it's not even funny!!!!!!! which is like the one thing anything attached to the Addams Family name should be!! literally only episode 7 had jokes that actually made me laugh. there's a few one-liners that aren't terrible (although most of them are elevated by Jenna's performance, obviously) but generally, most of her one-liners are incredibly predictable and boring and just so dry (negative). if i was dying and could only be saved by laughing at a joke and you put on any episode from this show besides episode 7, i would be dead within the first 2 minutes. they're that bad and boring and basic. genuinely just no real creativity with most of these.
Wednesday is a 5/10 show with only one actually good episode that is entirely carried on the performance of Jenna Ortega and a genuinely really fun Danny Elfman score. I can't say I entirely regret watching it because Jenna is just so damn talented and I'm glad she and Danny got their coin but like wow that was like a waste of my time for the most part. just so not fun and tired and boring and predictable and needlessly edgy with very questionably mixed metaphors about oppressed groups and annoying fucking dialogue clearly written to be posted in gifsets or screenshots. every time the show mentions the patriarchy or how "outcasts" are oppressed, a part of my soul dies. that's on your conscience, Tim.
truly, the only real fun I had with the show was the dance scene, episode 7, Jenna's performance, and the score. everything else ranged from functional to subpar to horrible. 5/10 raised to a 7/10 bc of these things, would not recommend. you could do so many better things with 8 hours of your time.
frankly, if you're really itching for an experience that's similar and like actually good and incredibly funny and innovative and clever, you could watch Scream Queens! it's so damn good! even S02!! or you could watch the entirety of S04 of Riverdale and get a better experience and a better mystery with the same creepy academia vibes and with like actually redeeming qualities to boot. fuck, if you can't stand the camp of Riverdale and Scream Queens, go watch the first season of The Magicians, it's also got a really well-done mystery and it takes itself seriously AND it's just a fantastic show that's gorgeously written and severely underrated. or go watch The Order, which this is so desperately trying to emulate in so many ways. although The Order will take a few episodes to adjust to bc those first 3-4 episodes are not great, especially in terms of the writing. hell if you're desperate for deadpan/macabre humor, you could just go watch the original Addams Family show or the two 90s movies.
the point is: there are so many better things you could be watching instead. if you're not a Jenna stan I truly cannot recommend watching this show lol. it's like genuinely not good.

This was requested on AO3 by Fairyzilla.
I fucking love Evergreen x Lucy! What's the ship for it? I haven't seen one, so I'm not sure what to call it. Anyways, I love this ship. It is my number one yuri Lucy ship. I don't know why I love this ship so much, but it's the same thing for pretty much all of my other favorite Lucy ships. I love Evergreen in general, so it's not much of a surprise that I majorly ship her with Lucy.
I hope you enjoy!
Gifts from Layla Heart (Evergreen x Lucy)
Evergreen sat at her team's table on the second floor of the guild as she stared down at a jewelry box in her hands. Laxus, Bixlow, and Freed looked over at her, both curious about what had caught her attention and already knowing the source of the object. Evergreen looked up at Laxus when the man asked, "what is it this time, Ever?"
The fairy mage looked back down at the piece of jewelry before she held it up for her best friends to see. It was a necklace that consisted of a thin gold chain with an amethyst pendant that was shaped like a butterfly. It was pretty and she loved the gift, but she had no idea who gave it to her.
Freed pondered, "this mystery person has been leaving gifts at your door every day for two weeks, right?"
Evergreen nodded, responding, "I don't hate the gifts. I just wish that they would tell me who they are."
Bixlow laughed and exclaimed, "so, Ever has a secret admirer." His tongue then rolled out of his mouth as his babies repeated the words 'secret admirer.'
Evergreen rolled her eyes. She placed the necklace back into its box as Laxus questioned, "did they leave a not?"
The brunette woman shook her head. "Only a piece of paper that says 'From Layla Heart'." She then pulled out a piece of paper that was attached to the latest gift. She handed it to Laxus as she asked, "could you see if you could get a scent off of it?"
The dragon slayer grunted as he accepted the piece of paper and sniffed it a few times. He shook his head as he handed it back before he crossed his arms and leaned forward against the table. He informed his close friend, "the only scent I can get is your's."
Evergreen groaned and place the piece of paper in the jewelry box before she closed the box and placed it on the table. She folded her arms on the table and laid her head on them as she wondered out loud, "I wonder who it could be." Her eyes were once again locked on the box.
Freed closed his book and placed it on the table as he asked, "could it be Elfman? You and him dated, yes? He could want to get back together with you."
Evergreen shook her head. "I already thought about him. He's not the type to do this. I also asked Mira if he was dating someone else and she said that he was." She sighed, racking her brain for who could be her secret admirer. She knew who she wanted it to be, but she didn't dare let herself get her hopes up.
Laxus then spoke up, "it has to be someone in Fairy Tail that knows where you live. I can't think of anybody that fits that criteria."
Bixlow then laughed and suggested, "maybe it's Cosplayer." His babies echoed the word 'Cosplayer'.
Evergreen's head shot up and she instantly straightened in her seat. She stared down at the box as her face burned with a fiery blush. She didn't need to look at her teammates to know that they were smirking at her reaction to what Bixlow said.
Her dark brown eyes went to the blonde celestial wizard that was on the first floor of the guild, laughing at something that Levy had said. Her gaze softened as she stared down at the younger woman that she's fallen for. Perhaps feeling her gaze, Lucy looked up at Evergreen and smiled at her, causing the fairy mage's blush to darken and she quickly looked away.
Avoiding the knowing looks her three friends were giving her, Evergreen cleared her throat and responded, "d-don't be stupid Bix! Lucy doesn't feel that way about me!"
Bixlow shrugged his shoulders, reasoning, "well, it makes sense, don't you think? Cosplayer is a part of Fairy Tail and she knows where you live." His babies repeated the words 'Cosplayer' and 'Fairy Tail'.
Laxus mused, "wow, Bix actually said something smart." This caused the seith mage to elbow the man that was sitting next to him.
Freed then agreed, "it does make sense. Maybe it is Lucy." He then turned to Evergreen and asked, "what did you say was the pseudonym that this person is using?"
The brunette answered, "Layla Heart."
The rune mage next to her continued to speak, "from the little information I have gathered about Lucy's past, her mother was named Layla. As you know, her last name is Heartfilia. She does fit as the most likely option."
Evergreen snapped her eyes up to Freed's calm ones. She then looked back down at Lucy. Could it be that she is her secret admirer? She found it hard to believe. Was Lucy into women? Evergreen was sure that the celestial wizard was interested in Natsu. But now, she was doubting that belief. She had to find out who this secret admirer was.
Evergreen leaned against her Fairy Hills dorm's door. Every day for two weeks, a gift would be in front of her door. Since there would always be a gift there when she woke up in the morning, she guessed that her secret admirer would show up to leave the gift early every morning. She listened for someone to approach her door as she waited.
She told herself over and over that she shouldn't get her hopes up, but she couldn't stop herself from hoping that this person was Lucy. For a few years now she's been in love with the celestial wizard. She began falling for Lucy when the blonde comforted her after her breakup with Elfman. Since then, she's only fallen more and more in love with Lucy. She felt herself blush as she thought about the blonde woman.
She had managed to become close friends with her, but she hadn't noticed any indication that Lucy felt the same way. Maybe she was mistaken. Maybe Lucy didn't feel the same way and wasn't her secret admirer.
Just as Evergreen began to worry that she didn't have a chance with Lucy, she heard someone cough quietly on the other side of the door. The brunette turned around and reached for the doorknob. Opening the door slightly, she peeked through the crack of the door. She gave a silent gasp at what she saw.
Lucy was leaving an adorable teddy bear on the floor in front of her door.
As Lucy began walking away, Evergreen shook herself out of her shock and opened the door before she stepped out and said, "Lucy?"
The celestial wizard whipped around and stared at her, both women blushing heavily and in shock. The fairy mage bent down and picked up the toy. She looked at it before she looked back at Lucy and spoke in a voice that was so quiet, she was surprised that Lucy heard her, "you're my secret admirer?"
Lucy rubbed the back of her head as she stared down at the floor. She responded just as quietly, "um...y-yeah." She then looked up at Evergreen and said a bit louder, "I love you, Ever."
Evergreen's blush deepened and her heartbeat began to pound in her chest. She stepped toward Lucy, letting the teddy bear slip out of her hands and fall to the floor. She took Lucy's hand into hers and the pair stared into each other's eyes. As they both blushed heavily and their heartbeats quickened, they leaned toward each other and shared a soft, sweet kiss.

I made a chart of ships to share my opinion on ships.
Will anyone look at this?
No
Will anyone care about my opinion?
No.
Am I going to do this anyway?
100%
ENJOY MY OPINIONS! If you don't agree with them please don't be rude about it. I have a right to how I feel about these relationships.
Without further adoo.....
OTP LIST:
Erza x Lucy: Ok I’m going to make this short because I could ramble for an hour about how perfect this ship is.  So I recently saw this ship and FELL IN LOVE. It’s perfect and the way that Lucy looks at Erza and their relationship make me just squeal! Plus it’s gay!
LIKE LIST:
Natsu x Lucy: Good ship, It’s cute and cannon. Their relationship is amazing and trustworthy and I believe they would be good partners for each other, I also see them as just friends though.
Gajeel x Levy: Rocky start……. But it grew on me, it grew on me HARD.
Lucy x Juvia: I like to imagine that Juvia worried about Lucy taking Gray so much that she ended up spending a lot of time with her to make sure Lucy stayed away from him………… until she fell head over heels.
Lucy x Cana: They are close friends and I could imagine them starting to grow crushes over time, I think it’s cute and has serious potential!
Wendy x Shelia: wholesome ship with girls figuring out their sexualities together.
Evergreen x Elfman: I didn’t see this one coming, but the way they look at each other is really cute.
Mavis x Zeref: This is just too sad NOT to like.
I THINK IT’S HOT LIST:
Kagura x Erza: First they were fighting to the death, then it turns out Erza saved her as a kid, then Kagura KISSED HER. I couldn’t contain my gay heart.
Natsu x Grey: These are basically just two idiots that make excuses to fight so they can be close to each other.
Erza x Jellal: honestly I’m not a fan, the only thing I like is their chemistry. Otherwise, I find the ship sort of disturbing.
I SEE THE POTENTIAL LIST:
Levy x Lucy: Although I prefer them as friends, this is also just so wholesome.
Grey x Erza: I feel like it would be an interesting relationship, there isn’t much content and I feel like it’s a little forced.
Freed x Laxus: This is just one of the ships I like because they are totally gay.
Lyon x Shelly: They have a nice relationship, I can see them becoming a couple.
Erza x Natsu: I see how Erza would fall for Natsu, it would be cute.
Merady x Jellal: I find they’re dynamic nice and sweet, I could see them getting together.
Yukino x Sting: Basically good friends that have potential if Sting wasn’t gay.
Loke x Lucy: Love their relationship, although I don’t see Loke as the very romantic type, its sweet either way.
Juvia x Natsu: I just feel like these two guys would get into some fun together.
Sting x Rouge: Gay bois just bein gay
MEH LIST:
Natsu x Lissana: I mean they seem like good friends, but I don’t see much else.
Cana x Bacchus: People only ship these two because they are both alcoholics. Also, Cana is gay, change my mind.
Grey x Lucy: Feels a bit forced, but interesting nonetheless.
Jellal x Kagura x Jellal: I mean, Kagura wanted to kill Jellal but she kissed him, Jellal emotionally tormented Erza but she likes him, so I guess???? I dunno.
Rouge x Yukino: I mean they don’t seem to have much chemistry.
NO OPINION LIST:
Bixlow x Lissana: Not sure if I’m forgetting something, but when have these two ever interacted?
Mirajane x Laxus: They never seemed to have much chemistry.
Rouge x Yukino: They don’t really interact.
DON’T LIKE LIST:
Laxus x Cana: They havn’t talked much, and Cana is CLEARLY a lesbian.
Minerva x Rouge: I just dont think this fits, people probably ship them because they have the same hair colour.
Wendy x Romeo: People just shipped them because they were the same age and that irks me.
Grey x Ultear: Nope, they are sort of like siblings and just NOPE.
Natsu x Jellal: Bro what.
Kagura x Jellal: She wanted to kill him, so no.
Mira x Freed: Freed is %100,000 gay
Laxus x Lissana: I just dont like this, also they don’t seem to click.
FROM THE UTTER DEPTHS OF HELL LIST:
Grey x Ultear x Lyon: These are just like, all siblings, like NO.
Ultear x Jellal: She emotionally manipulated him and used him for the majority of his life, so no freaking way.
Sting x Wendy (I think): SHE IS A CHILD.
Rouge x Lucy: They haven’t even interacted and the fact people ship them is something I hate.
Lucy x Sting: Why does Lucy need to be shipped with everyone?
Lucy x Gajeel: He tortured her! I mean he also knocked out Levy but those were orders, while with Lucy he was ENJOYING HIMSELF.
Rouge x Wendy: Literally wtf.
Sting x Minerva: Minerva used him and basically kidnapped his best friend to win a stupid game, so nope.

Transmasc nb basil is something so personal to me 🥺 I love your hc for it
Awww nonnie!!! I’m glad to hear it because I struggle w writing Basil I feel!! I haev trouble getting into his characters mindset and it’s not as easy for me as it is with Sunny or Hero. I’m glad to hear that you think it’s not bad!! As a thanks take some more HC because we all need a little bit more of our personal faves. Music for this one is: Ice Dance by Danny Elfman from Edward Scissorhands because this song gives me Basil feels. It’s just kind of tiny? Anyway
After he tells Sunny the truth about how he feels and Sunny doesn’t judge him and accepts him for who he is, Basil is kind of riding a high
He has a name he really likes from his favorite person in the world, he has hope that all of his friends will be the same level of accepting of him, and he feels....excited to be himself for the first time.
Except now Sunny wants to bring him to talk to Hero.
I HC that Basil was always closer to Mari and Sunny than the others. Not like in a bad way! Just that they felt their most comfortable around Sunny, and Sunny was almost always with his sister so they also got really comfortable with Mari too. Kel and Aubrey’s energy could get overwhelming at points.
Also okay total silly headcanon that I’m probably going to expand on into its own short thing- Everyone gets a crush on Hero. Everyone.
His special skill is charm like c’mon you think Sunny??? Didn’t have a crush on Hero?? He spends way too much time in his dreamworld talking about how hot Hero is. It’s puppy love first crush stuff that Hero and Mari end up laughing about. Aubrey and Basil also get the same crush, but they all get over it. Mari doesn’t get over hers but that’s okay XD
Anyways off topic, but that’s part of why Basil doesn’t feel 100% comfortable around Hero. He gets embarrassed by his feelings. Also Basil comes out to Sunny only a few weeks after he stopped having his crush on Hero, so he still is in that second hand embarrassment for his past actions thing.
But now there’s this part of them that only Hero could really understand. This big thing that they had been trying to put into words that Hero doesn’t need them to explain. Basil had hoped that his friends would accept him the way he was, he never dared to dream that any of them would actually be like him
So Basil agrees to go talk to Hero. Luckily Hero is over at Sunny’s house, he was there when Sunny left to go see Basil, and he and Mari are probably still there studying. The two children enter and the teens are sitting curled together on the sofa. Mari is reading while Hero leans against her shoulder and follows along. They seem particularly happy to see Basil who has been absent from all friend related things for awhile. Sunny gets straight to business, blunt as ever.
“Basil needs to talk to Hero,”
“Basil?”
Sunny nods grabbing his sister’s hand and pulling her up off of the couch. Mari follows her brother’s direction giving the other two a questioning look before disappearing around the corner. only a few seconds later piano melodies drift down the hall, and Basil knows that they’re alone to confront this.
Hero is waiting patiently, sitting crosslegged on the couch as Basil walks to stand in front of him. Basil can’t help but search Hero’s face and body. Nothing. No signs to anything different. Just Hero with his strong jaw and dark skin. Basil tries to look for any destinctly feminine features, but there’s nothing.
Hero continues to wait. He has plenty of experience from Sunny by this point. Sometimes people just need a minute or two to gather up their will
“You’re- You...used to be a girl right?” It’s the wrong thing to say. It feels wrong coming out of his mouth. Basil immediately wants the floor to swallow them up or for a tornado to rip through he house and fly them away. Hero keeps his body in a relaxed position, but his eyes harden and the easy nature of his smile becomes a little more forced.
“I’m trans, but no I didn’t “used” to be anything. I’m just myself,” Basil feels the anxiety he had let go of begin to rise up in his body again, and he felt himself begin to ramble, unable to stop his words from coming out in a panicked gasp.
“I didn’t mean I...” Tears pricked at their eyes, and they bit their tongue to stop from speaking any more. The shaking that started in their hands has traveled to encompass their entire body Hero sighs and scoots over, patting the couch next to him. Basil sits and Hero models a deep breath. He follows Hero’s example. They go through a few breaths together, Mari’s piano helping to calm his still racing heart.
Once he’s steady, Basil tries again. Instead of starting with who Hero is, he starts with who he is. Basil. Hero listens and lets him talk as long as he needs to. Then he pulls Basil in a tight hug and tells them that everything is going to be okay.
Everything is going to be okay.
The words latch onto the feeling of safety that Hero brings. The security of not being alone in how they feel. They’re the words Basil uses to calm down forever after that.

I watched ‘Doctor Strange In the Multiverse of Madness’ a second time – and this time around, on an IMAX screen. No, didn’t see it in 3D. I guess that fad is back. This film would be fitting for 3D, but my eye-balls (and migraines) can’t handle it. Guess I am getting old!  ;p
Anyways – on a technical level, and I don’t know if this has anything to do with Sam Raimi, but, this could be the first Marvel film in the long line of Marvel films in which the color-grading is different from all the rest of the films. I like that. I like that, a lot. That’s one of my biggest complaints about the Marvel films in general – that no matter how different apart they may be in genre, scope, galaxy – the color-grading is always the same. The director/ director of cinematography should have the control of the look of the film.  Luckily with this film, while there is the typical Marvel formula; the mise-en-scene (starting with the look – followed by the tone) – it feels like a Sam Raimi film. And I was in a movie house (old school lingo, there) with some audiences that wasn’t exactly prepared for a Sam Raimi film. They thought they were seeing a Marvel film. They were. What they were actually seeing – was a double feature. A Marvel/Sam Raimi double feature! Having Danny Elfman do the score; adds a little bit to the ‘madness.’ He also scored Raimi’s Spiderman films – and ‘Darkman.’ I noticed the generic comic book action movie bits, but I also noticed the familiar Elfman gothic bits thrown in from time to time. That builds up the tone. Some Marvel films don’t even bother with a proper score [insert ‘Iron Man’ here].
I think my biggest pet-peeve would be – adjusting the story line. I like Doctor Strange. As a character, and liked the first film. But – Wanda/Scarlett Witch has more of an interesting character arc/story line. One of the reasons why I loved ‘WandaVision’ was because it was about grief. I can relate to that on so many levels. I think, many people can. This woman lost her family in one phase of her life. Then her brother in another phase. And then, the man she loved in another phase. I read people complaining about how the first part of the show was slow, but, I liked that. Take that back, I loved that. I love slow-build up’s. And though, I really enjoyed this film, I wished this film took its time (if you want really great horror – choose the horror with slow build-up’s). The ending of ‘WandaVision’ included the typical Marvel third act boom, blast, visual overload climax it’s known for – and, I didn’t care for the two Visions – but, Wanda finally becoming Scarlett is great. Her leaving that town, heartbreakingly great.
Wanda in this film, I really like – but – it’s like – seeing two band’s co-headlining a tour, and you would prefer the one opening the other to end the night off. You know what I mean? Wanda deserved better. And with the [obvious] X-Men reference somewhere in the film and this is just me, as a writer (not so much, a fan, because, there is only so much of the comics I know) – one adjustment that could’ve made this film standout better – play out different ideology’s (which is the core of X-Men) rather than good/evil. Wanda has done evil shit, yes – but, she is not evil. She had her reasoning’s. She’s not your monster of the week – which is also refreshing for a Marvel film to see (the buildup).
Disney/Marvel may get some backlash from people with this film. The unexpected horror elements. ‘It’s too violent.’
A few adjustments would have made it a perfect Marvel film. A R rating would have made it a perfect Sam Raimi film. For what it was, it was just right for my dark soul.

3 and 17 for the fluffy prompts with prinxiety maybe? I love them too much for my own good lol -King anon from your other blog
hello king anon! i’m still not completely convinced you’re not kat, who loves prinxiety probably more than she loves me, but regardless i hope you like this! i’m sorry it’s been so long since you sent this, i
words: 1455 universe: human au characters: Virgil, Roman; mentions of Patton pairings: romantic prinxiety; mentions of platonic moxiety warnings: kissing, otherwise nothing prompts: “i’m here for my daily fix of hugs and kisses.” and “a fairytale with a happy ending always brings a smile to my face.”
“Virgil. Virgil, it’s time to wake up.”
Virgil rolled over, covering his head with a pillow. “Gimme ten more minutes, Patt. It’s the weekend.”
“Who said anything about Patt?” Virgil took the pillow off his head and sat up. Sitting there beside him was no other than Roman, wearing a wide grin.
“Bah! Roman!” Virgil threw his pillow at him, alarmed. “Nobody’s allowed to see me without my eyeshadow!”
Roman caught the pillow easily. “I think you look absolutely lovely without it.”
“Yeah, well, I don’t.” He got out of bed, rubbing his eyes.
Roman pointed at the sweatshirt Virgil had on. “Oh, that’s where my favorite hoodie went!”
Virgil felt his face go red. He’d taken it from Roman’s apartment a few months ago, and had been using it as a pajama shirt ever since. It was comfortable, and it smelled like him. “Sorry…”
“No, it’s fine! You can keep it.”
“But it’s your favorite.”
“I can always get a new one. Besides, it looks good on you.”
“Whatever. Can you let me change, please?”
“Go ahead.”
“I mean alone.”
“It’s not like I haven’t seen you naked before.”
“Roman, I swear to God.”
“Okay, okay! I’m going! Sheesh, you’re so mean!” Roman pouted, but Virgil just rolled his eyes.
“Don’t be so dramatic.”
“Sorry, darling, it’s my job.”
“Just go.”
“Fine.” Roman stood up dramatically, making Virgil snicker, and left the room.
Alone at last, Virgil started getting ready. He slipped out of his pajamas and headed toward his dresser, taking out his favorite t-shirt and a pair of black jeans. He grabbed his usual black-and-purple hoodie before heading into his and Patton’s shared bathroom. Falling into his daily routine, Virgil turned on the faucet to heat the water as he ran a comb through his hair. When the water was hot, he doused a washcloth and washed his face, then dried it with the towel that hung on his side. He decided to go for a simple makeup look today, complete with his signature black eyeshadow on the lower lid. Satisfied, he ran his hand through his hair a few times before leaving the bathroom and heading into the kitchen.
Roman was waiting for him there, leaning against the counter and sipping a cup of coffee. He had already poured Virgil his own mug. Upon taking a sip, he saw that Roman had prepared it exactly how he liked it, with the perfect amount of milk and sugar. He sat on the counter next to his boyfriend. “Okay, Princey, this time you’re off the hook.”
“Was I ever on the hook?”
“I’d say breaking into my house while I’m asleep definitely puts you on the hook.”
“Patton gave me the spare key months ago!”
“Yeah, but you at least could have waited until I was awake.”
“I couldn’t wait that long.”
“Why are you even here?”
“I’m here for my daily fix of hugs and kisses.”
Virgil rolled his eyes. “Of course you are. Why couldn’t you have at least waited for a more reasonable time?” He used the phrase “reasonable time” loosely, as he normally woke up around noon on the weekends.
“Because I missed you, of course.”
“Roman, I saw you yesterday.”
“Yes, but it had been so long since then!”
Virgil shook his head, finishing off his coffee. “My God, you’re such a drama queen.”
“I won’t deny it. Now, may I have my hugs and kisses, please?” He turned to look at Virgil with his best attempt at puppy-dog eyes.
He feigned exasperation. “Okay, fine.”
Roman pumped his fist in victory
“You didn’t need the puppy-dog eyes, though,” Virgil told him. “Patton’s the only one who can make that work.”
“Oh, you love it.”
“Whatever. C’mon, follow me.” He hopped off the counter, put his mug down by the sink, and headed over to the living room, motioning for Roman to follow. As the other came over to him, Virgil pulled a thick blanket from a trunk by the couch. When Roman reached him, he patted the cushion beside him. His boyfriend beamed and sat next to him, cuddling up to him. Virgil grabbed the remote from the arm of the couch before draping the blanket over them. “What do you wanna watch?”
“I think you know my answer.”
“Yeah, I think I do. Just making sure.” He switched the TV to Disney+, and Roman cheered. “Which movie?”
“Princess and the Frog, of course! I know that’s your favorite.”
“My favorite’s Nightmare Before Christmas, dumbass.”
“It isn’t technically a Disney movie. It was originally released by Touchstone Pictures, because Disney didn’t think it’d do well, and they only bought it out once it succeeded. Besides, we aren’t going to watch a Christmas movie in the middle of February.”
“It’s March. Besides, it’s a Halloween movie!”
“No, it isn’t. It has ‘Christmas’ in the name!”
“So?”
“So it’s a Christmas movie!”
“No the Hell it is not!”
“Prove it!”
“Where does Jack Skellington live?”
“Halloweentown, but-”
“There you go.”
“That isn’t nearly enough proof.”
“Oh yeah?” Virgil whipped his phone out of his pocket. “Let’s settle this.” He opened Google and typed the words “is nightmare before christmas a halloween movie”. “Ah-ha!” He began reading off the first result. “‘In 2017, director Selick definitively declared “it's a Halloween movie” during a Q&A at Colorado's Telluride Horror Show film festival, while two years later composer Danny Elfman told USA Today, “It's obviously about Christmas, but for me, it's a Halloween movie.”’ Boom. I win. Who’s the Disney buff now?”
“Fine, I’ll give you that. It still isn’t Disney, though.”
“Neither are Pixar movies.”
“Are we going to keep arguing about this, or are we going to watch Princess and the Frog?”
Virgil laughed, giving a sigh of mock-indignation. Roman had been right before; he did love Princess and the Frog, often claiming it to be where Disney reached its peak. “Fine.” He opened the “search” tab and typed in simply “the princ”. As he’d expected, the movie they’d been looking for was one of the first results. He clicked on it and clicked play, wrapping his arms around his boyfriend and pulling the blanket tighter around them.
__
The two of them hardly let go of one another for the entire movie. They entertained themselves by making commentary poking fun at the plot and characters— all in good fun, of course. During the more stressful and nerve-wracking scenes, Roman distracted him by peppering his face with kisses. In contrast, when the more romantic scenes came on, the two of them held one another close as if their lives depended on it. It was nice, spending time together in a casual setting like this.
The movie soon reached the end. “A fairytale with a happy ending always brings a smile to my face,” Roman said happily as they watched the montage of Tiana and Naveen build their new lives set to Tiana’s interpretation of “Down In New Orleans”.
“Too bad most fairytales don’t have happy endings, and most of the ones that do were changed to be more suitable for kids.”
Roman gently elbowed him in the ribs. “Oh, don’t ruin this for me.”
“That’s kinda my job. Ruining things, I mean.”
“Oh, don’t be silly.”
“I’m not. That’s your department.”
He gasped in mock-offense. “Excuse you! I am not silly! Dramatic, yes, but never silly.”
“Whatever you say,” Virgil replied, giving him a smirk.
“Oh, you stop that!” Roman took his boyfriend by the front of his shirt and kissed him firmly, softening it when Virgil returned it and moved his hand up to tangle it in the other’s hair. Roman started to move into his lap, only to be shoved off.
Virgil broke the kiss. “Not a chance,” he said, gesturing to his legs. “There’s no way these tiny thighs can handle your weight.”
Roman just shook his head and kissed him again, this time pulling Virgil onto his own lap. “That’s better,” he mumbled into the kiss.
When they finally pulled away, Roman reached for the remote. “Do you want to watch another movie?”
“Only if it’s Nightmare Before Christmas.”
“We already discussed this, My Chemical Romantic Interest. That’s a Halloween movie.”
“My Chemical Romantic Interest?”
“What?”
“That’s the dumbest nickname so far. And anyway, time is a social construct. We don’t have to wait until October to watch a Halloween movie, especially not when it’s the best Halloween movie out of all of them.”
“Hmm... you have a point. Fine, I guess I can’t argue with you. So, are we gonna watch Nightmare Before Christmas?”
“We are.”
“Good answer.” He pulled up the movie and, snuggling close to his boyfriend, watched the movie in a comfortable silence.

HEADCANON: Lisanna - the effects of Edolas
Edolas is an experience that will stay with Lisanna forever.
In canon, she was 15 when she was pulled into the other world, but I imagine her as having not long turned 16 (with Mira and Elfman being a bit older as well). It’s not much of a difference, but 16 is slightly more acceptable and should be a minimum age for going on S-class jobs (I mean, it should really be a higher limit than 16, but yknow).
Not even getting into the whole ordeal of that fateful mission, there is a lot to consider, a lot that Lisanna has to deal with as a result.
TL;DR
She gets anxiety about being pulled away from her world again, paranoid it can happen again at any moment
She sometimes has trouble separating dreams, memories, and reality, and also battles to feel real as she’s unknowingly struggling with disassociation at times
She also has a level of separation anxiety, which begun as a child when she was accidentally left alone, but it grew worse due to her experiences in Edolas and the fear of being torn away again.
She has nightmares about friends and guildmates being killed, particularly by Knightwalker, as she witnessed it happening before.
She often jumps awake and is off her bed and ready to fight or run at the slightest noise, as many times Edolas had them needing to flee in the night.
She hoards things she comes across, because nearly Everything was useful for aiding survival in Edolas and she gets anxious if she doesn’t gather things, sure that she might need it.
Despite her best efforts and the knowledge that the two are so different, she can’t relax around Erza Scarlet and tenses the first moment she sees her, though she’ll smile and seem friendly as she can.
She misses some of the Edolas people she met and had grown close to (as close as she could while feeling like a guilty imposter anyway), but feels she can’t talk about them.
When she first returned to Earthland, she was in the habit of eating her meals very quickly (as you never knew when you would suddenly have to leave), it’s something she has worked on changing since then and has improved on.
She had to readjust herself upon her return, having grown used to acting differently for the sake of the Edolas group, and she felt a lot of pressure, trying to be the Lisanna everyone remembered and expected. Playing the part of Edo-Lisanna hadn’t been easy or all that comfortable for her either and was a pressure of its own. Everything gets so mixed up sometimes, she’s not sure who she is anymore. For this reason, especially, it was a relief for her to join Blue Pegasus and be around people in general who never knew her before.
Lisanna woke up in Edolas, with her last memory of her brother’s Beast Soul form attacking her. She didn’t know where she was, she was injured and confused, and not entirely sure for a while if she was really alive. She came across a strange version of Fairy Tail, with familiar faces but unfamiliar personalities. Was she dreaming? For a while, she thought she was, but when days began to pass, she realised that this was her new reality.
She had to adapt, had to learn as quickly as possible about her new life. She took the place of a dead girl, feeling like an imposter, for the sake of keeping others happy. Her supposed head injury helped with smoothing out some issues and explaining away a few of her ‘memory gaps’ and the shift in personality.
Not only did she have to adapt to pretending to be someone else, but she had to adapt to the loss of her magic. It was like having a limb cut off, and all her senses seemed all too dull for the longest time.
But was there time to dwell on that? No. There was tension in Edolas, trouble brewing, and Fairy Tail was in the line of fire along with other guilds. Members of this Fairy Tail died, sometimes right before her eyes, during the altercations with the military. And the worse part…was seeing those guildmates being cut down by some stranger with the face of her friend. Erza. Knightwalker. The Fairy Hunter.
Everything became a matter of survival during her two years in Edolas. She learned to fight without magic, she learnt to scavenge for parts and make repairs out of whatever was on hand, she learnt that nothing and no one was safe, and that you had to be prepared to drop everything and run at a moment’s notice.
Despite everything, all the grit and struggles, she found some happiness with her not-quite-the-same-guildmates, developing bonds with a few in particular. But even that was tainted by the fact she could never truly be herself.
And when the members of Earthland’s Fairy Tail appeared, she couldn’t allow herself to be happy, couldn’t reveal herself to them as she felt doing so would hurt those she had been with for the past 2 years. She resolved to stay on Edolas…but then even that decision was taken from her, and she returned to her original world.
Edolas left its mark on her, in some ways literally (in the form of a scar).
Being in one world one moment and then another in the next left her unsettled, it’s a nagging feeling of anxiety. What if she was pulled into another world again? And not only that, but an enemy could attack at any moment. The Edolas Fairy Tail had needed to be alert and ready, prepared to fight or flee within a second, how could she ever feel at ease again? How could paranoia and worry not plague her? How could she ever really feel safe?
Even if she told herself a million times that she was in no danger before sleeping, her body would continue to jolt her awake in the middle of the night at the slightest noise, her instincts having her ready to run or fight in an instant.
Being in such a different place as Edolas was…It was almost like a dream, a nightmare really, but she couldn’t talk about it, unwilling to worry others with what she had been through or to bring up any old pain for her siblings. Had any of it really happened? She struggles with the truth even now, with the line between fact and fiction, with the connection to reality. Sometimes it’s as if she might float away, hardly registering any sensations, but a part of her desperately hoping to stay grounded. Feeling real and present is…not easy.

@tigerfire54 (It's a side blog) Kinda humourous - Gruvia finds out babybuster is a firemage because of a mutation in their DNA (pls make it extremely hilarious(or not) it's up to you) 🌸🌸🌸
Thank you for the request. I was a little challenged honestly because I'm more of a fluff and angst writer and also not really funny, but I tried my best.. 😅
I changed it up a little, with the DNA thing, I really hope you still like it tho!
*************************************************
"NATSU!"
Gray came running into the guild hall, eyes out for the dragon slayer. He found him sitting on a bench with Lucy, acting all lovey dovey. When he heard Gray call for him, Natsu immediately got up, forgetting about trying to make Lucy swoon and instead ready for a nice traditional fight. He was surprised to be honest. Ever since Gray and Juvia became parents, Gray has been pretending to be all mature and responsible. Now on the other hand, he reminded him quite of his old self. Cold, determined and.. angry? Why did he look so angry? The closer Gray came to him, the more worried Natsu became because even he could tell, this wasn't going to be one of their friendly brawls. Gray was furious and his eyes were screaming murder.
Before he knew what was happening Natsu was thrown against the wall of the guild hall.
"What the hell?"
"Funny, I was about to ask you the same thing." Gray took a hold of Natsu shirt, lifting him up and throwing a strong punch.
"Gray, let him down!" Lucy was desperately trying to remove Gray from Natsu but to no avail. Gray had a death grip on him. He saw some of the guild members staring, but at that moment he couldn't care less.
From the corner of his eye Natsu saw Grays two sons, Silver and Storm, entering the guild hall.
"Dad, stop!" Silver seemed desperate and worried. If only his mom was around, but she was still on the mission with his uncle Gajeel.
Gray glanced to his kids, but didn't let loose.
"Explain!"
"Explain what?"
Gray gestured for his younger son, Storm, to come over. While Silver was a mini version of him, Storm almost had no feature alike with him. He was pretty much the male version of Juvia. Gray wasn't bothered by that, Juvia was pretty so it was a win for the boy really. What bothered him a lot though, was the powers that they had discovered today.
"Storm, show him what you managed to do today." The younger boy didn't seem to register his father's angered state because he just smiled innocently before opening his palm and presenting... a flame?
A hot, glaring, red one.
The whole guild went quite in a matter of seconds. It couldn't be, could it..? Everyone was staring at the flame, desperately trying to make sense of the situation? Ice and water can't make a child with fire powers. It doesn't add up. Unless..
..much more went on on those missions Natsu used to take with Juvia sometimes. It had surprised every body back then. Natsu and Juvia were never exactly close. So why did they suddenly go on so many missions together? Could it be.. an affair?
The gasp when the realization hit everyone were not to be overheard. Well, at least it hit almost everyone. Because Natsu seemed oblivious to everyone's train of thoughts.
"That's awesome! Who teached you that?"
Gray glared at Natsu.
"Noone you ash-brain! They just appeared but unlike Silvers ice power, Storms aren't like mine nor Juvias."
"So? Fire is much better than ice anyway.."
"You've got to be kidding me.." Lucy sighed, not quite sure how to deal with the situation. "Natsu, he thinks you're having an affair with Juvia."
"What?" Natsu looked at her dumbfounded before finally registering the message. "Oh."
"Oh. THAT'S ALL YOU HAVE TO SAY!?" Elfman sprung to action, holding Gray back who was about to lunch at Natsu all over again.
"Gray, I think you need to calm down and think straight. Do you really believe he would do that?"
"Yes, he's an idiot after all. Wouldn't be the first time I misjudged him."
"Okay.. do you believe Juvia would do that?"
Gray calmed down slowly, finally actually giving his conclusion some thoughts. He didn't have to think long before finding his answer.
"No.."
"Exactly. Now sit down and let us think what might be the actual reason for this."
Gray grumbled an okay, before sitting down on the bench he had knocked Natsu off not that long ago.
"You're right. I don't know what I was thinking. Juvia would never do that. She wouldn't cheat on me. Especially not with someone like him.."
"What's that supposed to mean?" Natsu glared at him, ready to start another fight.
"I think its self explanatory. As if Juvia would sink so low and go out with someone like you."
"Say that to my face you perverted popsicle!"
"I just did, you flame brain! See, that's what I mean, you're way too stupid for her!"
"Who are you calling stupid!?"
"Obviously you, you idiot."
"I'll show you, you damn ice prick!"
"I'd like to see you try, ash brain."
And once again, there were punches being thrown.
"What about Totomaru?"
Gary halted his punch, glaring at Natsu.
"What about him?"
"He was with Juvia in Element 4, right? And he was a fire mage too.."
Lucy glared at Natsu in disbelief. The boy never remembers anything and now out of all the times, his memory worked?
Gray took a step back, registering what Natsu just said.
"No way.. Juvia.. Juvia wouldn't.."
Talking about the devil. Juvia walked into the guild hall accompanied by Gajeel.
"There you are. Juvia has been looking for you. Juvia missed her boys." She opened her arms and caught her sons, enveloping them in a tight hug.
"Don't you dare say a word." Gray whispered to Natsu. He'd talk to her about this later, in private.. he made enough of a scene already. Natsu nodded after Lucy elbowed him slightly.
"How have my boys been?"
"Great. But daddy is mad.." Silver glanced at his father who's eyes suddenly became huge.
"Why? Graysama, what's wrong?" Juvia looked at Gray with worry. There's no way she did it.. not with the way shes looking at him. There would be another explanation.
"Daddy thinks you're cheating."
"WHAT!?"
Juvia jumped up, immediately running to Gray. "WHAT THE HELL? GRAYSAMA, WHY WOULD YOU THINK THAT!?" The water mage already had tears in her eyes. And Gray realized he's an idiot. No way, she did it.
"Calm down, it's a misunderstanding.. It's.. it's just Storm."
"What about him? Is my baby okay?"
The little boy appeared next to his mom, tears filling his eyes. Now he looked even more like Juvia.
"Daddy doesn't like my powers.." Storm sniffled, while demonstaring the flame in his hands. Juvia stared at it before looking at the situation around her and watching the bruise that was starting to form on Natsus face.
"Gray, did you.. did you think Juvia cheated on you.. with Natsu?"
"Well, I.. I mean."
"Juvia would never cheat on you! Especially not with.." she glanced at Natsu "..him."
"HEY!"
"Told you!" Gray looked at Natsu smugly, proud of his wife. The wife that was glaring daggers his way.
"JUVIA CAN'T BELIEVE YOU! AFTER EVERYTHING. YOU ACTUALLY BELIEVE THAT! JUVIA IS SO DISAPPOINTED IN YOU GRAYSAMA!" Juvia let out a sob, turning her back to Gray.
"No, Juvia listen.. I don't, I mean.."
"Ha, you're so whipped, you popsicle!"
"Shut it, you flame brain!"
And chaos erupted once again. Lucy was desperately trying to hold back Gray and Natsu who were once again throwing punches at each other. Juvia was bawling her eyes out, drowning the guild hall while Storm was proudly showing of his flames to his older brother and the other kids.
"What the hell is going on here!? I demand an explanation."
The whole guild froze while Erza glared at the bunch. She had just walked in, followed by the Shadow gear group.
It was Lucy who dared to speak up after a long awkward silence. She explained everything in a hurry.
"I see."
"That's all you are going to say?"
"What do you want me to say?"
"Fair point."
"Can I say something?" Levy spoke up behind her.
"Sure."
"I have the explanation."
"Huh?" Every head turned to her, eagerly waiting for her to continue.
"The kids played with some of my potions yesterday. I found an empty bottle, one which changes your powers into the opposite. Turns out, it was Storm who drank it.." Levy laughed a little awkwardly, waiting for the reactions.
Gray glared at his son.
"Is that true?"
"Oh yes, the twins said I'd become much stronger if I drink it all."
"ARE YOU SERIOUS? I CANT BELIEVE YOU. AND WHY DIDN'T YOU SAY SO FROM THE START? ALSO, DON'TJUST DRINK STUFF. IT COULD HAVE TURNED OUT EVEN WORSE!" He scolded his son, furious with the whole situation. Juvia on the other hand was surprisingly quiet.
"Aren't you going to say something?" Gray glanced at the blunette, waiting for a response.
"That means, he got Juvias water powers right? Because water and fire are opposites?"
Levy nodded at Juvias question. "Exactly. The spell should work off anytime soon now though."
Juvia grinned proudly, lifting up her son and completely forgetting about the whole cheating accusations and the scolding she was supposed to do. She couldn't stay mad at her boys for long anyway.
"Juvia is so happy, she'll teach you everything. Let's go, mama will show you the water lock. It's what she first used on your dad."
Gray was deep in thoughts, thinking about how to apologize for ever thinking so bad about his wife while looking at her retreating form, before finally registering what she just said.
"Juvia, wait, no! You can't teach him something so dangerous yet, get back her!"
He ran after her, followed by Silver, who was grinning from ear to ear.
"What a weird family I have.."

@bearandbirdfan I finally got your request ! Sorry for taking so much time, I hope you enjoy it !
Request : Laxus listening to Mira’s heartbeat and Mira talking about when August pierced her heart.
It was odd.
They didn’t get the chance to hang out very often. She spent most of her time at the guild hall, serving drinks, organizing things and whatever she was supposed to do there. Especially taking care of the master too.
The old man was not getting any younger as the months passed by and was finding himself more and more in need of an another person for tasks he simply didn’t have the energy to do anymore, considering he spent a lot of his time in a wheelchair it had become rather natural to need someone to take a little care of him.
Nothing too much, he was still very capable to handle himself in well… intimate parts of his life. He didn’t anyone to bathe him or such things that old people needed. Just someone to keep his house livable, accompany him home and sometimes bring something to eat when he hadn’t already eaten at the hall. When he usually got back with very different people, give that most mages found the idea of having a private conversation with him rather appealing, especially as S-class trials approached, the other tasks usually fell on Mirajane, sometimes Lisanna, but only when Mira found herself too busy to do it herself.
And it was fine, they had found quite a balance. She usually just brought something she had cooked during the day and tidied up while asking for his orders on guild matters. Everything kind of found its place, and everyone seemed quite content with it.
He didn’t have more free time. He spent lots of it on jobs, mostly with his team but sometimes taking a quick solo mission as the Thunder Legion rested between two. And, training of course.
Which is why they didn’t hang out very often. That didn’t mean they didn’t see a lot of each other though. Because they did. A lot. One night every time he got into town for the very least. And as months passed by, they were finding it even harder to spend a night other than in the same bed while he was there. But they rarely hung out because they mostly slept, and screw, a lot, and snuggled (even if he had trouble admitting it) talking about their days or just listening to music when nothing was new.
She usually came back late from the hall or the master’s place. And he spent as much time training, hanging out with the Thunder Legion or organizing his next mission. So, it was rare when their schedules both synced up and they found themselves at the same time free for the evening.
Surprisingly, they found themselves doing nothing during those times. One would have thought they would take the chance to go on a date, but they usually just spent the entire evening at his place without anything planned. Mostly because their sort of relationship wasn’t public yet, only a few knew about it like Erza, Lisanna, Elfman, the Thunder Legion and of course, the master, with very diverse opinions on it.
So they didn’t go anywhere because running across someone from the guild was just something they both silently agreed they didn’t want to do, because that meant the entire guild would probably know about them a few hours later if you had the chance to walk across someone blabby and just no, they couldn’t have that.
They never really went on a date truly speaking. Dates were for people that wanted to get to know each other better, and they often felt like they knew too much of each other. Even if sometimes they both felt they didn’t at all. Besides, other towns were just too far and travelling would take the evening away, especially when one party had a really hard time with trains. They just stayed at his place, hung out, screwed a lot, and talked about things they usually didn’t. Like feelings (about everything but each other, way too early for that), but they mostly liked themselves just being. Which was very odd because they were both way too active for that. Mirajane couldn’t spend an afternoon off without cooking or working on her songwriting while Laxus didn’t have afternoons off because he filled them up with training.
That’s how they found each other at his place that one night after ten months of seeing each other between his jobs and her busy schedule at the hall, talking on his couch as her legs lazily laid on his lap while they were both eating what she had just cooked after some amount of time screwing up on that exact same couch. She was wearing one of his t-shirts while he had just slipped a pair of sweatpants, and they were just talking, or at least they were before silence fell through, but it was fine, they were just being anyway.
“Dragon ?” She finally said while rolling a mouthful of spaghetti around her fork.
She only got a weird grumble in response to which she lightly chuckled.
“Have you ever thought about dying ?”
He blinked a little before swallowing his mouthful with difficulty and taking a sip of the beer that rested on the coffee table.
“the old man getting that unbearable, huh ?” He just smirked as she only raised an eyebrow that disappeared through her bangs, still a bit sweaty he noticed.
“I’m serious.”
He put down his plate as it was now empty and looked at her again after she did the same. She only stared at him, her bright blue eyes piercing his without any awkwardness while he settled back, bringing her legs against him and stroking them slightly.
Typical demon, tackling the real big questions like it was her usual Tuesday.
“Well, yeah, a little.” He only shrugged. “Like everyone else, I think.”
“Some people never think about it.”
“Well, I’m not everyone.”
“Of course not, dragon.” She giggled. “But that’s not answering the question.”
He only grumbled and looked at her like he didn’t like when she was talking to him like that. Which, of course, he did.
“I mean, I’ve already seen you almost dying on a hospital bed, didn’t that make you think ?”
Of course it did, how could it not ? He just didn’t like talking about it.
He sighed and brought back her legs against him before sliding to lie on top of her. She just giggled as she laid down too and slid her fingers into his hair before landing a quick kiss on the top of his head.
“I don’t know.” He mumbled. “I guess I just tried to avoid it”.
She hummed, she was going to fall asleep, he could tell by the way her breath was getting deeper and jolted as she was trying to keep herself awake.
“Have you ever thought about dying ?” He asked then with a frown.
“Sure.”
He frowned even more as he settled against her breasts, way too comfortable to be true, but loud as his ears were now trying to avoid getting completely drown into her heart’s beating. Sometimes, being a dragon slayer had his inconveniences. Not that he couldn’t stand to hear that, he just wished he didn’t have to concentrate that much to listen to whatever she was saying.
“…I mean, sure, my parents died a long time ago but that doesn’t mean I didn’t have to go through adolescence. Quite the opposite really.”
Shit, he really had no idea of what she was talking about now.
“What do you think ?” She asked then, completely oblivious to the fact that he hadn’t followed her reasoning at all.
He just grumbled. Hopefully, that would do the trick.
She just giggled and he clearly felt it as the hiccups shook her chest.
“Sure, when Lisanna died, I thought about jumping off a bridge, but… you know, my sister had just died so it was quite normal.”
He blinked, not remembering she couldn’t see his eyes at all and therefore wouldn’t be able to answer his puzzledness. He clearly heard her heart racing though as she said that. Apparently not as laid back about it as she was trying to seem.
He lifted his head up then, staring at her with a slight frown and a smirk. She just giggled even more at his cuteness and pushed the golden locks out of his face before planting a long kiss on his lips. He laid against her again and slid his right hand under the t-shirt, stroking the naked skin hidden by the fabric. She just shivered and seemed to relax again.
“Didn’t you almost die against one of the spriggans back then ?” He suddenly inquired as the idea passed his mind.
She tensed. He could also hear her heartbeat getting quicker again.
“Yeah, that was kind of traumatic.” She just giggled while kissing his hair again, probably trying to distract him, as if he would let her (he did, a lot, but the point was not tonight).
“What happened ?” He didn’t let go. “Lisanna said you got shot in the chest, but that seems unlikely.”
She sighed, her heart getting into some very weird tempo as she tried to speak.
“Why ?”
“Well, for starters you wouldn’t be able to be here now if you had.” He paused, listening to the race that was happening right below his ear. “Except if you’re actually dead right now and this is just me imagining you or something.”
She frowned.
“What, you mean like a ghost ?”
“Like in that weird movie with the kid when you learn the adult was a ghost since the beginning.”
She just frowned a lot. Her heart calming as he spoke.
“Do you have a lot of sex with ghosts ?”
“Well, I didn’t know you were one until now.”
She giggled.
“I guess I should stop seeing other ghosts now that you’re one.”
He went up in pain as the palm of her hand abruptly struck his head. But laid down again when he saw her still grinning. She felt calmer under his head now. Then, it raced again.
“It didn’t really hurt.” She just said and paused but went on as he was clearly not planning on replying. “I think it hurt on the moment but then I didn’t feel anything at all.”
He only rearranged his position and tried to find an adequate response as he could feel her heart getting so quick while she waited for his reaction.
“I didn’t see anything.” She paused. “People say you’re supposed to see your life flashing before your eyes but everything was just so dark. I still have a scar though.”
It wasn’t losing his rhythm as he tried to speak but she beat him to it.
“I guess, I was just disappointed to be alone, you know.”
He grumbled, losing his answer because her heart was taking too much of his hearing for him to concentrate. What time was it again ?
“I kind of regretted sending Lisanna away.” She finally said while the beating went slower. “But then, I just thought that if she had been here, she would have probably been dead too.”
“Maybe she could have helped you not getting killed.” He suddenly said, getting into some dangerous territory he knew.
“Maybe.” She simply replied.
He didn’t know if he had just said the wrong thing, but her heart beating seemed to finally calm down. And then it was just silent for a while. It was odd just them being, her snoozing lightly as he stroked her skin. It was too damn rare he thought. But then, he just came to the idea that doing more often would take all the fun out of it, and he didn’t like getting bored at all and neither did she for that matter. Things were fine as they were. Well, maybe not all of them, but then, who cared ?
“I guess, at the end, I just regretted not kicking your ass when I could.”
And he just laughed.
