Shigaraki's reef: way more unique culture, especially sports, music, and history, but that's because merfolk eat each other there and any humans who crash their ships along their reefs.

I am a staunch supporter of Hawks x the Todoroki family. That sounds bad but I promise it’s not in a weird way.

Obviously it would be separately and also not illegal for Shouto.

Endeavor/Hawks is like hero worship and falling into bed together a few times after a rough fight. Enji insists it means nothing and it’s just a way to deal with the excess adrenaline and it’s not happening again. It happens again. It happens a lot of agains.

Now…. Rei/Hawks? Hell. Yeah. Not romantically, this is purely sexual. Hot Young Hero Gets Pegged By Sexy Milf Divorcee. I can see the hub logo already. Idk how they’d meet tbh maybe he saves her or she divorced Enji rather than… what happened:/ But they meet and sparks immediately fly, and he takes her back to his penthouse and they freak it.

Dabi/Hawks. Classic. My favorite. Sweet and spicy. The tension and the romance is unparalleled. I don’t even need to type any of this out because what happens in canon is already perfect enough. If all of these ships happen in the same universe, this is endgame. But also, if these all happen in the same universe, the first family dinner where Touya brings his bf home and the room is just full of people hawks has slept with… delightfully awful.

Fuyumi/Hawks is where we start to get some sweet innocent dating. Maybe they met while Hawks did a press assembly at her school. Maybe the kids staged a meet cute or smth, parent trap style. They date for a few months, and spend a handful of nights together, but ultimately decide that neither of them are in a spot in their lives where they can pursue a serious relationship. They part on good terms, and occasionally still talk as friends.

Natsuo/Hawks. Baby’s first one night stand 🥰 buuuttt it turns into booty call for sure. Natsu is freshly 18. He’s finally his own person. He’s in university, he has his own apartment. Things are good. So he goes clubbing and meets the youngest hero to reach top 10, and he just so happens to want to go home with him. They toe the line of booty call and friends with benefits, but they don’t really hang out much because hero work and university are Very time consuming.

Shouto/ Hawks. Stop side eyeing me, I said it wasn’t weird or illegal. I intentionally put a space after the slash, it’s unrequited. Hawks was simply Shouto’s sexual awakening, just as I’m sure he was many other kids that age. Shouto never had any sort of attraction to anyone until Hawks showed up in the hero scene. At first he saw his press debut and was just ‘oh wow that man is very attractive. Guess I’m mildly attracted to boys now.’ And then he saw Hawks on tv, covered in soot, walking out of a burning building while holding a baby in one arm and a kitten in the other and he decided then and there that he would never look at another man in his life because no one could ever compare.

I've had so many thoughts and hcs about Touya's coma and time at Afo's facility that id really wanna expand on. We as a fandom don't play around with it much and tbh canon just brushed right over it and moved on without giving us a lot of info. That entire plot point is so, so interesting and horrifying to me, can we learn more about that? No? Well then I just *have* to write fucky dead dove concepts about it. Like I'd love to do something with that and, like, the system Dabi hc, and especially dd:dne hcs like the coma baby stuff, trafficking, programming, etc. There's so much potential there for dead dove I need to write more about it

I'd like to write more with system Dabi hcs in general. I kinda default him with did or some form of dissociative disorder in a lot of fics but id love to expand on it more.

Ships wise, I'd really like to write more togadabi, natsutouya, kurodabi, spinnerdabi, ships like that where there's not a lot of content for them but like. The potential.

I've been playing around with an post canon natsudabi concept for a while but never got around to writing it. I just think it would be fun to leave Touya in Natsuo's care after his arrest and they make each other worse <3

Idk most other concepts i have are like dead dove stuff bc I'm going thru it but my writer's block is kicking my ass so who knows how far I'll go with any of it.

Haven't caught up to the manga yet but loosely following the anime. Read quite a bit of lengthy Deku centric fics, and that + what I've gotten so far from the show are what fuels my headcanon aus when I draw them.

Tbh I only watched the og kids Naruto when I was young and any shippuden knowledge I have is a mix of posts from other fans, Google, and fics. Already said this before in an older post but I read a lot of time travel/fix its so I just assume that when similar events are included in more than 2 timetravel fics (if it's still set in naruto's timeline and not like, minato's or pre konoha), then that's probably what happened in canon. I also just Google any shippuden powers or characters I'm not familiar with, which is quite a lot but it works for me.

Finished it years ago. Memories are vague but posts from other fans and canon adjacent fics help me remember.

Finished the books years ago, probably before or around the same time as ATLA. Only properly watched 5/8 of the movies. Heavily read a lot of fics. Memories of the og content is vague and sometimes I'm not sure if what I know is canon or just widely loved fanon (like the Black library).

Hmmmmm, depends on a fandom tbh – I'm usually a multishipper and it's pretty hard to me to pick favourites... But let's ponder that a little:

Definitely NeroV. I like a lot of DMC ships, but that was the one, that really got me into it. Plus I think they really fit each other. 💜

Otasune, sweet Arceus, Otasune! While I'm not against other ships with these two, I personally ship Solid Snake and Otacon only with each other. My beloved disaster husbands. T^T

Sonadow. Sonic is a fandom, where my shipping has no borders, but this one is a classic and I love their dynamics. ^^

When it comes to KH I'm team "fuck it, we ball!"... But lately I've gotten really fond of Luxord/Vexen. Unfortunately, so far I'm the only author on AO3, who's writing for them. XD Also, Larxene/Aqua, I think they're neat. ^^

I absolutely adore Tifa/Aerith, they're so cuuuuuuute! 💜

Bruh that atrocious apology scene is going to be animated and I swear to god the BkDk/Katsuki stans are gonna get louder and more annoying.

Tbh I can’t wait till the manga ends. I feel the BkDk stans like Dekacchann will lose all relevancy once the manga ends (though they might have a breakdown over the fact their fictional ship of two minors won’t be canon) and tbh the manga’s simultaneously dragging and being rushed at this point. Some moments it takes forever for something to happen while other moments it’s briefly glossed over. Will say that Shoto vs Dabi and Kurogiri awakening has been interesting tho. I want to say Himiko turning into Twice has been as well, but I don’t have any real expectations that it’ll go anywhere meaningful other than offering brute force for the villains and to quickly wrap up her and Ochako’s arcs.

im opinionated so absolutely!! didnt like hk/iceland (hetalia) or fruk (hetalia again lol). didnt like yuri/otabek (yoi), most byleth/student ships (femblem), jeanluc (when i was into genshin). currently dont like renheng (it's just not my thing), jing yuan/fu xuan (also not my thing) or dan heng/anyone tbh (although i make exceptions for tb). i dont have any massive reasons for disliking them theyre just either not my thing or dont align with my hcs (shrug)

any jing yuan/hcq feels vaguely icky to me because they knew him as a teenager while they were adults (aside from yingxing since his age is more ambiguous and it seems like he mightve grown up at the same time jy did?)

So I remember being there when Toukei was coined, I believe, in CTABB. I think the reason it isn't as popular as dabihawks is because we just didn't have the ultimate confirmation he was Touya and also Keigo's name came like a year and a half after we first saw him. But with Jinkei, which I coined, I remember really pushing that name over everything (on purpose) and the other thing is by the time they interacted, we had Keigo's name and Jin's. It's interesting though. I wonder if there's any dabi and hawks interaction POST-war (like epilogue-wise), maybe we'll switch to Toukei completely? I also miss Hot Wings because tbh I got into the ship because I thought the name was hilarious and then they proceeded to eat my soul. Anyway, SHIP BINGO TIME

Honestly? Annoyed. The way his fandom acts influenced my opinion of him a lot but tbh "I am a crazy murderer but I have childhood trauma and found family so everyone loves" is not something I enjoy. I also like my villains to have an ideology and not just a mental disorder

Romantically? None. But I read some Dabi x Burnin fanfiction and I loved it. He's just not the type of character I see romance with... Now, darkfic? Yes

None. He doesn't deserve to have friends. Natsuo loves him, sure but bitch tried to kill him so if they are reuniting it's over my dead body

I think all my opinions of him are unpopular! But here's a few

He doesn't deserve redemption at least because he has shown no desire to change

He doesn't love any of his family members. He doesn't care about his brothers, sister, or mom. He's an awful older brother

His trauma is genuinely not as tragic as it is passing to be. His backstory also makes less sense the more you think about it

He doesn't care about LoV members

-One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon

I hope he dies! I am going to puke if I were to see a heartwarming family reunion with a brother that actively tried to kill you! If he stays alive it's going to either be some rewind stuff or rashed redemption and I hate the thought of both

Momojirou: Classic good soft girlfriends. I really love their dynamic and how Momo’s a protective pillar for Jirou whenever she’s uncomfortable

Tsuchako: Classic good soft girlfriends. Except more cutesy and less elegant than Momojirou lol. Tsuyu casually thinking that Ochako’s cute is the best thing ever and they’re definitely the best friends to lovers trope

Togachako: I kinda ship it but kinda don’t? Definitely not in the context of canon lol but in AUs hell yeah. It’s definitely one sided at the very least on Toga’s part

Dabihawks: I haven’t seen enough of their interactions to really get a feel for them yet (I still gotta finish season 5 whoops) but from what I’ve seen in fanart. Abso-fucking-lutely. Hawks being the one to try and save Dabi from his fate and Dabi resisting his advances is so good. ALSO their JP voice actors voice two characters from one of my favorite ships in the whole wide world so I’m automatically going to root for them either way

Toshinko: AAAAA I LOVE TOSHINKO…not even counting the fact that it’d make Dad Might canon I just love how complicated their interactions are. I feel like Inko is one of the few people who can absolutely terrify Toshi and I respect her hardcore for that. Also the balls to say to the world’s number one hero “I don’t trust you to keep my son safe” GOD INKO you’re such a queen and Toshi probably thinks so too

Erasermight: Never cared for it tbh? I feel like Aizawa and Toshi just interact in passing so there’s not really any meaningful conversations between them that I can remember. Also considering how different they are as people I don’t think they’d be able to mesh well in a romantic relationship. Opposites do attract but not in this case imo haha

do you hear other people’s writing styles when they talk?

do you describe a character’s appearance all right away or in pieces?

A writing tip I always follow... oof I've gotten so many aha. I think the one I still remind myself to follow is to trust my subconscious and not be so stuck to a story idea that I avoid a better one just because I don't want to change the course from the original idea. It helps with writers block too!

I wish I could say PJO or even Magic Treehouse, but tbh the first time I found out a fanfiction could be "professionally published" was with 50 shades of grey u.u

I think the last thing I googled was the definition of a word but... I can't recall the word lmfao

I don't balance. I can't. I freeball. Sometimes I don't write for weeks, sometimes I'm writing during my 15 min breaks at work and while waiting in the car at my siblings' bus stops. Sometimes I'm staying up till 3am on a work night because I just HAVE to finish a scene/fic, sometimes I go to bed early and wake up super early because the next plot point came to me mid-dream lmfao

bahahah uhhhhh because of online shippers i think. Like, that's why I started jjk and then I ended up... not shipping the couple I went into it for? lmfao Idk if that really counts as weird though. I'm not sure what my weirdest is....

I act out the emotional scenes! I get into their heads and think like them and imagine the conversations and what would make them yell and cry and what could be said to them to further the emotion or stifle it etc. and I've noticed while writing that I'll make the facial expressions lmfao

I do!! sometimes it's unintentional, but sometimes it's very much planned out from the start. Like in These Violent Delights, I had Dabi and Hawks go through the stages of grief in opposition to each other. So Dabi started out with the normal procession of the phases (Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression, Acceptance) while Hawks experienced them in reverse (Acceptance, Depression, Bargaining, Anger, Denial), which is why the third chapter is longest with both POVs, because they're the most in tandem at that point. They're both in bargaining, they're both kind of in the same vulnerable but wary state. That I planned from the very beginning and I wrote it all out in bullet points. It's probably the most organized fic, and even then, I had to re-vamp the whole last two chapters lmfao

I think I do very much imagine it as a movie which helps with blocking and tone and then the "script" of course. If it's a very emotional scene, it's easier to let the words flow.

Hmmmmmm. It depends on the villain I think. I like the idea of ruthless villains, but I do always like having a backstory. Not necessarily to excuse why they're villains, but just to have a grasp on their character as a whole, how they make decision, if they're more about intellectual manipulation like Ozai or more about power dynamics like Shig in the Enchanted AU or if it's more a general concept like invasion of privacy in the rodydeku one shot. Depending on the type of villain I'm going for, I focus on different aspects, but I like having a base backstory for them.

"said" is just something people shouldn't be afraid of. It's distracting if you use a bunch of different speech tags, and it's distracting if you use "said" 10 times in a row. Sometimes a person does just say something, sometimes you don't need to specify who said because it's obvious, sometimes an adverb to go with "said" makes all the difference.

Right now, the WIP i'm on is part 2 of the rodydeku one where they meet again after a long time so the moodboard I think would have time stamps and edgy sad tumblr posts and hands reaching for each other just shy of touching and something you can't really tell if it's a sunrise or a sunset. One of my best friends makes moodboards, maybe I'll ask her for one klasdjakldf

Hm. I usually like sarcastic characters! It definitely depends on if they're being cynical and sarcastic or just have a penchant for sarcastic humor though. I don't really like smart-alack cynical sarcasm.

I think I do notice my own voice, especially with turns of phrases, but a lot of people tell me I'm good at differentiating the voices of different characters who narrate, so maybe it's not as glaringly obvious as I think?

I'd like to think my sentence structure has gotten more polished, albeit a bit more verbose.... I know my strength is in emotions, so I've leaned into those descriptions a lot more. I have noticed I have a tendency of using runons or just very long sentences that are grammatically correct, they just have a bunch of commas. I didn't do that as much before, but I'm working on breaking it up lmfao. I do read older things and cringe, so at least I'm certain I've improved over the last decade

I actually dont!!!! Like, I talk to my friends all the time, but when I read their stuff, it's very different from their voices, so I can't say I can tell just by how they speak. Same in my writing classes before, their writing styles were very different from the way they talked in class.

I have a tendency... to overlook descriptions at first in fanfiction lmfao. I think that's because I used to be very annoyed seeing the same description word for word in the first page of every fanfiction. So now I sort of describe the person slowly, moreso in moments when one of them is describing or admiring something about the other. Like, I mention about halfway through the fic that Deku has a mohawk, because Deku isn't really gonna be prone to describing himself, but he's fawning over grey eyes which he describes in a variety of ways, as well as the auburn hair and smug smile as he falls more and more for Rody. I think the same goes for Teaching a heart, Sokka and Zuko describe each other in different ways than they'd describe themselves and notice different aspects about each other. Probably something to work on though, since not everything is a fanfic and I don't want the character to be a blob aksjdfka
