So show! Sansa wanted to kill two kids for what they father's did, but couldn't because Jon wouldn't let her and she is a girlboss and a complex character. But show!Dany burns the idiots that refuse to kneel and who prefer to fight for show! Cersei which was mostly xenophobia and she is a psycho and a tyrant.
Talk about double standards.

From time to time, I come across these snippets of GoT on my social media. So on another episode of how D&D tried to push over Sansa as this "righteous and smartest" character, despite being power-hungry and wanting the crown only for herself:
a) In this scene, people who don't or can't fight hide safely in the crypts. While talking with Tyrion, Sansa decides to bring up Daenerys into conversation for no reason at all, which is followed by trying to talk sh*t about her. Then Missandei corrects Sansa.
b) In this scene, Missandei states facts as usual.
c) In this scene, Daenerys is again proven to be a good and caring person who helps others. "We'd all be dead already": Missandei would have died in slavery if not for Daenerys taking her into her care and freeing her. Tyrion would have drunk himself to death/would have died in slavery/would have been killed in Essos if not for Daenerys taking him into her service. The North, without Daenerys, would have no chance to stand against the Others; they all would be dead (including Sansa).
d) In this scene, Sansa says, "Divided loyalties would have become a problem." What "divided" loyalties? Prior to the dialogue that is shown here, Tyrion and Sansa were talking about their marriage. It's understandable that Sansa would want Tyrion to stay loyal to her, i.e., that Tyrion would have no other lovers. But Daenerys wasn't Tyrion's lover, and it's quite clear that none of them had any romantic feelings for each other. From the political side, Tyrion has sworn his loyalty to Daenerys and is one of her advisors. Jon Snow, who's the King, is at the top of the political hierarchy in the North (above Sansa too), bent the knee to Daenerys. This makes Daenerys Queen of the North. And the North and its people become Daenerys' subjects; this includes Sansa too. In no way is Sansa above Daenerys in the political hierarchy. In no way is Sansa equal to Daenerys in the political hierarchy. Sansa is below Daenerys in the political hierarchy.
So what "divided" loyalties is Sansa speaking about as if she's in an equal position with Daenerys? That Tyrion being a loyal advisor to Daenerys and a loyal husband to Sansa wouldn't go well with Sansa's desire to have the crown and rule over an "independent" North?

Just saw a comment on YouTube saying S*nsa is the “hope” of ASOIAF and the “only reason to keep reading” because she “never resorts to hate and violence” and is “selflessly taking care of her cousin in the Vale” (apparently they missed the part where she’s part of the poisoning sweetrobin situation???) This comment went on to describe Arya as “basically a child soldier with an AK” and that her fans won’t admit she’s “fallen” and “lost her humanity,” basically arguing Arya shouldn’t be viewed as an aspirational figure.
Is there any other fandom with as many people who’ve very obviously never read the books or, if they did, skimmed and supplemented with bad metas? And that have extremely loud and wrong and insulting interpretations they insist are the Truth™️?
Anyway, I’m reminded daily why I do not engage with the ASOIAF fandom on YouTube lmao

only stansas will read a series & prequel historical novel about targaryen queens consistently getting their crowns stolen by their other family members & come to the conclusion that the only female inheritance that will not be usurped with be san/sa star/k's instead of the last only targaryen queen left

there is something to be said about the pathetic and ridiculous stansas' strawman argument that Sansa is being hated for enjoying romance and fantasy stories and songs 😂;
When i) I have never witness this, its only ever said by her stans that she gets hated for that. So much so it's her most prominent hate that has to be called out.
iii) What takes the cake however is the hypocrisy (as always); childlike naivety is something to applaud when Sansa displays it, it makes her promising for any power role ("emBodImEnt Of hOpe foR fuTUre") a romantic idealist, but with Daenerys? Oh honey no, in that case its pathologize as megalomaniac delusion, first displayed trait of the genetic madness that slumbers within her. Sansa's qoute "If I am ever a queen, I'll make them love me" gets her rewarded with the fandom's marxist nobleprize, meanwhile Daenerys gets thousand edits from them with the qoute "the way to hell is paved with good intentions" and is a cult leader and tyran unseen before for wishing to beloved by her subjects for her ACTUAL work and sacrifices.
ii) The idea alone that she; one of the most safe character in the series: a passive status qou conforming highborn girl with the most disproportionated popularity amongst the fandom, is single out in the series and hated for THAT is so ludicrous her stans should come up with a better strawman argument. She is not in the least unique (which is were her actual problems lies) for that; a lot of female AND male character in the series do so.

unedited rant starting now :)
funny how neither dany nor arya are listed as feminine and strong. do they not fit ur standards for feminine women? would they be strong in a “masculine way” then?
dany and arya are strong in their own ways. dany is ruling in her own right and is freeing slaves as she goes. is this the masculine strength you were talking about? is arya executing a traitor masculine strength?
why isn’t cersei strong in a masculine way then based off your definition? why does she have a woman’s strength? why is she feminine and strong but not dany and arya when she does similar things as them, the difference being that she’s crazy and edging closer to evil territory? cersei wishes she could have the power dany has. cersei wishes she had a sword like arya. is she only feminine to you because cersei is limited by the patriarchy and societal rules? why does femininity seem to mean being limited by the men around our characters to you?
you say sansa was passive and got manipulated a lot, which, while true, isn’t the only way for women to be feminine.
i thought being feminine means liking dresses and makeup and gushing over boys. i thought it meant gossiping with your friends over snacks and tea. i thought it meant being sweet, kind, gentle, empathetic, tender, and compassionate. i didn’t know that being feminine means you can’t be strong in a “masculine way.” because being strong in a masculine way seems to mean liking horseback riding and swinging a sword and ruling as a woman without a king. op, it seems like you’re a big hypocrite when claiming that cersei and arianne are feminine and strong while associating femininity with only passiveness and ignoring the femininity in women who are very active and don’t exactly conform, aka being strong in a “masculine way.”
let’s be clear, a woman can be both “feminine” and “masculine.” even though i hate designating female characters in such a rigid and oppressive system meant to make women conform to the patriarchy.
liking active characters isn’t a bad thing. liking characters who try to change the world they live in isn’t something that makes them strong in a “masculine way.” it just means that these characters are stepping out of the gender roles, and this does not make them unfeminine. a la arya saving weasel and dany protecting the people she could while drogo was alive are examples of two female characters being active while being constricted by 1) gender roles for dany and 2) class difference for arya (she posed as a small folk). these two characters also escape these societal constraints. dany rules as queen due to her dragons and arya is training as a faceless man and is gaining power. stepping out of their gender roles does not make them unfeminine and their strength should not be associated with masculine strength because they are both female characters in a world that is very unkind to women.
to kinda sum up my points, being active doesn’t make a character unfeminine, and i despise how you’re calling characters who are trying to live beyond their gender roles unfeminine. you are literally undermining actual women who decided to not conform to our patriarchy and horrible societal standards that dictate how a woman should conduct herself. it is not wrong to favor these nonconforming women as well. nor is it cool to undermine their strength by saying that they’re strong in a masculine way. this completely ignores the fact that these characters are going against the patriarchy in the books and should be applauded for it. the mormot women and brienne and arya don’t have it easier by being non conforming women. and it should be admired that they still take up this challenge because they have a right to exist the way that they want to. we readers should not degrade these characters who are going against a very oppressive system. and excuse me for not being impressed by sansa, who is very classist and a bully. excuse me for feeling bad for her but not favoring her because i appreciate the kindness and “masculine strength” of arya, and dany, and brienne more. excuse me for clearly not being a girls girl.
now, i agree that being feminine isn’t a weakness. but i hate how you’re ignoring the femininity in women who you consider strong in a “masculine way” and then saying that people with tastes like mine are in the wrong and therefore don’t like female characters at all. it’s very insulting and i can’t take you seriously because of how hypocritical you are by claiming cersei and arianne are strong and feminine, two characters who clearly want power in a “masculine way,” while not listing dany nor arya as feminine. dany and arya both should have come to your mind before arianne.
people can dislike whoever they want. stop trying to tell people that disliking certain characters and liking others is wrong because your standards aren’t met. it’s annoying.

It never ceases to amaze me how much stansas will just straight up bully and attack Arya's character with straight up lies and misrepresention (like saying she's shit at sewing when really she's okay with it she just gives up quickly bc of Sansa and Septa Mordane's BULLYING of her).
Like they really feel soooo comfortable to just sit there and boldly flat out lie and then when confronted by it they just immediately block you. LOL and these are the same people love to go on and on about "diplomacy" and "soft power uwu" and yet they can't even handle having civil fandom discussion without having a primadonna level meltdown about "harassment" of their fave bc they KNOW if they actually engaged with people honestly they would get called out on their PURPOSEFUL misrepresention of the text and lies.

i don't want to reblog OP because i haven't been back long enough to know who they are and where they stand on the Discourse™ and i frankly don't care but i'd rather avoid conflict where i can.
however i do have to say that "i hope this character that is incredibly important for the plot stay still in this foreign place they only went to as part of their character development arc and is clearly meant to move on from only because i think it would make their fans and supporters mad even though it would completely stall the story" has to be one of the most bizarre takes i've seen in any fandom.
imagine being like "yes, i hope the author disregards every bit of foreshadowing they have planted for this character and their importance in the upcoming books thus fucking up the entire story just to annoy her fans" as a "fan" of said story lmao
like, y'all would rather the books go to shit like the show did just so you can one up the group of people who constantly remind you how batshit crazy your takes and theories are because you guys deep down know we are right and the girlie you have spent years mischaracterising as a protagonist isn't more than a supporting character 😐

So I didn't reblog b/c I don't want to argue w/Stansas. Same reason I didn't include the name. I agree that Alicent did as her father pushed her to do in this. I feel for Alicent to some degree tho I feel for Rhaenyra more. However, imagine being so blinded by your love for Sansa and hate for Dany that you bring up Sansa questioning how you feed dragons in front of the entire court in a positive light and saying w/your whole chest you understand the politics and Sansa was unfairly and wrongfully criticized for this. 😂😂🤦‍♀️
Like the irony of saying others don't understand politics of asoiaf realm while being so far off the mark. No one is mad Sansa worried for feeding people. Politically Sansa was stupid for bringing this up publicly, undermining Jon and acting poorly to an ally openly. If Sansa was politically savvy and cared for feeding her people rather than being petty to Daenerys and undermining Jon, this would have been discussed in private, in length, beginning when Jon first brought up traveling to Dragonstone to treat with her. Also, this shows complete naivety and ignorance on Sansa's part to think that neither Dany nor Jon would have thought ahead of time abour food and provisions. Dany who has been conquering cities, marching and travelling with her armies, raising her dragons, and ruling Meereen for months where she made many political decisions in the books on how best to feed her people in the immediate present and the long term dirtier, as well as how to grow the economy. And Jon who led the Night's Watch, who were severely lacking in provisions and he had to figure out how to feed them all, as well as leading the armies who marched from the Wall to take back Winterfell, in winter, when game is scarce.
Sansa had ample opportunity to bring up provisions, food stores, etc., before Jon left, knowing he was going to secure an ally an r and bring them to Winterfell. As lady of Winterfell one may say it was her duty to figure that out before they arrived knowing that was what the entire purpose of Jon's treating with Daenerys was and that if they didn't come to Winterfell Sansa and everyone in the North would be dead, part of the army of wights. But if she really was that clueless and never thought to bring this up in the moons it would have taken for Dany and her armies and dragons to arrive, then she should have asked for a private audience with Jon and Dany to go over the food scarcity, if she was actually smart and clever politically and it wasn't entirely to be petty and undermining to the ally who came to save their home. Not to take it over since Dany actually said she would help Jon without him bending the knee and he did after anyway, even when she doubted that was a good idea anymore and questioned Jon, he assured her they would see her for who she was as he did. So Sansa had no political reason to even be wary and petty at that moment. And if she was truly worried about the tyrant she thought Dany would be, then provoking her publicly was the dumbest way to go about that.
I swear, I would think these people were joking if I didn't know they were dead serious and thought they did something.

I don't care if people like Sansa, even i enjoy her chapters and theories and meta about her that are derived from canon events, but her rabid Stansa's who troll pro-daenerys & Targ blogs to shove their - usually wildly false and contrived - rhetoric down our throats and verbally abuse and assault us can choke.

What makes Sansa more femenine than Dany? The fact that Sansa has no power? Why is power something considered masculine?
Food for thought.

It's disappointing that Sansa faced zero consequences from Jon, for guilting him into her fight, when he wanted nothing of this. It's disappointing that Sansa faced zero consequences for not telling about Knights of the Vale. It's disappointing that nobody blamed Sansa for letting thousands of loyal men die on the battlefield basically for nothing while fighting her battle. It's disappointing that Sansa get's to play saviour when she rolls into the battlefield after nearly all the Stark's men, including Jon Snow, are slaughtered. It's disappointing that Sansa never had to face mothers, wives and children of those fallen soldiers who died in her battle. It's disappointing that Sansa never had to explain herself or apologize to the northern lords, ladies and their men, who choose to fight the Starks. It's disappointing that everyone overlooks that Sansa doomed Rickon to die, when he still could have been saved.

Very funny to me how Stansas present her character as being so interesting and complex because of her vulnerabilities, while simultaneously ignoring those same vulnerabilities in other characters. Dany is sold as a bridal slave and lacks agency throughout AGOT and after. Her dragons are either too young/small to utilize effectively or locked away for the majority of the story. They aren't some all-powerful trump card that protects her from harm. Arya is captured as a prisoner of war, forced to watch countless people tortured and murdered, and then essentially enslaved in Harrenhal with no way to fight back. She has an entire arc of feeling powerless, of being a "mouse", during ACOK. She doesn't have "kung-fu" or the ability to magically fight her way out of every situation, she's a young child lacking physical strength with only the most basic sword training.
Sansa isn't the only female character, she isn't the only young character, she isn't the only character who suffered, and no one is obligated to prioritize her. I'm so tired of Dany and Arya being mischaracterized and having their stories erased to prop Sansa up. "Sansa has kept her dignity" In other words, let's praise her for having a level of security that Dany and Arya don't have access to. She hasn't ever been forced to make a hard decision which of course means that she's morally superior to them. They can't even admit to themselves that her lack of action is due to her own passivity. If it doesn't fit their delusion, they erase it from the story and expect the rest of us to play along. Ask one of them what they like about her character without bringing up her being the ultimate victim, and I genuinely don't believe they'd be able to give you an answer. They belittle other characters more than they talk about her and these takes just scream insecurity/jealousy at the content and development other characters have in their POVs.

actually now that i think about it there's no way i got called media illiterate by a jonsa when their entire theory for jonsas book relationship hinges on jon symbolically thinking of sansa despite jon, in the literal text, thinking about arya

Something that makes me laugh when sansa stans coo about her ✨intelligence✨, especially in the context of degrading Dany (and Arya to a degree) for her lack of a formal education:
Sansa's last class was whichever she recieved pre-Ned's imprisonment when she was twelve and that by a septa, not even a maester. Yet, from the three girls, Sansa always had the 'best' chance to *actually* recieved a 'proper' education due to always living in close proximity to a maester. In the Vale she may still be very much a pawn, but she could have at least ask to receive lessons, given how Petyr grants her numerous extravagant privileges (x, x)
And yet, GRRM chose her not to do so. In fact she scoffs and dismisses Master Coleman every chance. If Sansa would be as smart as her fans boasts you would assume she would try to resume her education.
Daenerys and Arya on the other hand exploit every chance they get to broaden their horizons; Daenerys can read and write (which is even more remarkable given the fact that she indeed hadn't had maester growing up), speaks multiple languages discusses with and listens to more educated, wise and diverse advisors, and educates herself with books (x). Arya (who lost the privilege the day of father's imprisonment) has proven that she is a dedicated pupil to Syrio Forel, she manages to secured herself a place as a novice at the House of Black and White, where she learns diverse languages, history, poisons, how to stalk and kill unsuspiciously, to dedicate lies and to lie and tasked to learn 3 new things everyday.

Stansas who are TG will never make sense to me. I've already made a post about this, but it's so baffling I'm going to make a longer one. Please keep in mind, I don't believe in the whole QitN thing, for Sansa at least, and definitely don't believe any other things stansas spew out.
Stansas argue that Winterfell and the North are rightfully Sansa's. After all, she is the oldest legitimate child of Ned Stark (their arguments not mine lol). It doesn't matter that she's married to a Lannister or hasn't spent any time training in ruling.
Now, who else is the eldest legitimate child of a ruler? Rhaenyra. She also has an even more solid claim than Sansa. She's been named by the previous ruler, she's been trained to rule, and has no bastard older siblings who could have been legitimized over her.
Rhaenyra's reign would have set a precedent for female inheritance, something Sansa could benefit from (theoretically). TG fought for male primogeniture, meaning that in the situation of the Starks, Bran is the rightful heir in their eyes.
So no, if TG had their way, Sansa would never inherit anything. Aemond would never consider marrying her, neither would Aegon or Daeron, any of Alicent's elitist brood (because there's lots of people who ship them for some godforsaken reason). She raised her sons to believe they were superior to others, so they would have no interest in a woman who has little political value.
Finally, I doubt Sansa herself would be very interested in the green party. First off, her house allied with Rhaenyra and her sons, and remained their most stalwart supporters, even more than the Velaryons. Second, Alicent would probably remind her of Cersei, but worse, since at least Cersei is at least a bit politically savvy. And finally, show Sansa wouldn't like either team, since she's solidly against the Targaryens (for no good reason might I say), she'd want them all to kill each other, just like she was hoping Daenerys and Jon would.
In conclusion, stansas who support TG are stupid. Those who do just show that their reasons for their stances are rooted in misogyny and hypocrisy.
