Hey y'all, sorry I'm late but I'm back with another one of these Helluva Boss opinion thingies-
Tumblr media
Alright so the new episode, to be honest I enjoyed it more than the previous ones but I have to admit it still has its flaws. So let's discuss that.
So there's the whole Ozzie and Fizz being together, being all lovey-dovey. And honestly? It's the cutest shit I've ever seen. Stolas and Blitzo wish they could have that lmao
I also wanted to point out that I absolutely love the aesthetic of the Lust Ring (well mostly because it's purple and blue with neon pinks, which is different from the usual red that Viv is so obsessed with-). My only complaint however?
Is that the background should be slightly darker because characters like Ozzie blend a little too well with them. I mean, I can understand why the background is bright and all that, but Viv just loves to make her characters be barely noticeable in the shot-
Now, there's a few things I don't like about this episode, for starters, the pacing was absolute dogshit. Like, everything went by so fucking fast, I had to often pause the episode several times just to look at shit in the background or just the scene in general. It was a hard episode to digest, really.
Another thing I found stupid and unnecessary was the whole Ozzie signing contracts with Stolas- it was very out of place and like, it honestly felt like they just added that to pat the run time. Not only that but, why couldn't Ozzie just go to the Greed Ring and beat the crap out of Crimson and his goons for kidnapping Fizz? Like, I was legit expecting Ozzie to go in and do some crazy shit but he didn't- he just stood there, signing a bunch of papers and for what?? Fr that shit was anticlimactic.
Then there's the "accident" that caused Fizz to lose his limbs and horns. Honestly the scene was somewhat impactful for me but at the same time it went by too fast. And not only that, I hate that Blitzo admits that it was his fault, yet he makes everything about himself like- COULD YOU NOT DO THAT, YOU FUCKING DIPSHIT??? And you know what makes me even more mad about this scene? Is the fact that Blitzo had feelings for Fizz and was going to confess to him- WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK? Istg can Viv stop making Blitzo being this uwu pathetic sad baby of an OC who fucks everything that breathes? (no wonder she made him canonically pansexual, it just shows-).
Tumblr media
I also think it was stupid to make Fizz apologize to Blitzo- like, I don't care if what he did was an accident, that shit was fucked up. And it just seems so off that Fizz was all like "yeah you fucked me up and ruined my life but y'know what? I forgive you because plot reasons". I dunno man, it just doesn't sit well with me.
*Edit: I personally would've much preferred if Fizz didn't apologize to Blitzo, kinda like how his sister Barbie did. Where she just told him to fuck off and that she never wanted to see him again.
There's also the song that Fizz randomly sings at the end- it's terrible. I legit cringed the whole time while watching the entire scene. And finally uhh, Striker and Crimson working together was really stupid, it felt like a desperate attempt to make something look cool but it failed miserably.
Anyway, that's all. Thanks for reading, uh bye-

fun facts about bisexuality
Bisexuality includes trans people by definition
The “bi” in bisexuality refers to the fact that bisexuals experience attraction to genders like and unlike their own. The sum of genders like and unlike one’s own is all genders, including nonbinary ones.
The bi in bisexuality doesn’t refer to “attraction to afabs and amabs” or “attraction to feminine and masculine presenting people”. Bisexuality includes trans people in a way that respects their genders. STOP SMOKING CRACK.
Bisexuals don’t inherently have a preference.
Artificial terms like “pansexual“ and “omnisexual” are unnecessary specifically because bisexuality already includes attraction to all genders with or without a preference.
Split attraction model-derived coinages like “bi lesbian“ have like, five mutually exclusive definitions, all of them biphobic, lesbophobic, and transphobic and for that reason are also completely useless.
Defining bisexuality as “attraction to two or more genders”, in addition to being utterly ahistorical, undermines our commonalities with gay people and lesbians (the fact that we’re attracted to people of the same gender) and conflates us with straight people.
“Polysexuals” who aren’t attracted to people of the same gender are just straight and shouldn’t be grouped with bisexuals.

Shit pansexuals say and what they don't realize they're saying:
"Hearts not parts!" > everyone else only cares about their partner's genitals, making me more virtuous
"Pansexual means I'm attracted to trans people too!" > no one else could ever love a trans person because they're a special Other category that you need to include instead of just being men and women
"I'm more comfortable with the term pansexual." > I don't give a shit about the history of the term pansexual and I am actively trying to erase bisexual history. I spout transphobic and biphobic bigotry disguised as "wokeness" and I don't even realize it, or if I do, I simply don't care. I value the warm, fuzzy feeling I get more than the history and goals of LGBT people and what they have fought for decades to accomplish.
"I don't see gender." > I am making an effort to ignore something that is pretty integral to a person's identity.
"I need to get to know someone before I have sex with them." > I think I am Unique and Special. I am more pure than those filthy, sex crazed bisexuals who will sleep with anyone. I am incapable of comprehending that most normal people desire emotional connection to a person they're sleeping with.
"I identify as pansexual." > I am no different from someone who is bisexual, except that I'm more special because my internalized biphobia makes me think bisexuals are icky.
"Let people identify however they want!" > I have not thought critically about the impact of this because I don't care about anything beyond my immediate surroundings.
"It's not hurting anyone." > I have likely read many accounts from people who have been hurt by my label, but I am choosing to ignore that because thinking critically about it makes me uncomfortable.
"Pan means all and bi means two." > I'm not clever enough to realize that there are only two kinds of attraction: homo (same as me) and hetero (different than me). I am also actively ignoring the meaning of the purple stripe on the bisexual flag.

And yet somehow bisexuals are still in the wrong for calling out the blatant biphobia and bisexual erasure that is the pansexual label? Yeah fuck off. Pansexual is and always will be biphobic and the people who continue to support labels like this are actively contributing to biphobia and bisexual erasure. Not that inclus care cause y’all are happy to call anyone who either disagrees, or has the evidence to back up why mspec labels are so harmful, terfs. Absolutely vile.

everytime there’s a relationship in a piece of media where one is bi and one is ‘pan’ i’ll simply just headcanon that the bi character educates the other character about the inherent biphobia of mspec labels. though it would be nice if the creator of the media educated themselves in the first place, that’s not easy to ask for, so.
(radfems don’t touch my post🤢)

"This lgbtqia+ microlabel discourse doesn't exist outside of online spaces!!!" Um, I don't tend to tell my social circles about my issues with ace/aro and mspec microlabels, mainly because I'd probably get isolated from lgbt+ spaces, which I want to contribute to and be able to find support in. But I do witness the trash thinking that online discourse has fostered so it's not entirely online now, is it?

pansexuals be like: "I identify as pan but I just have to say I'm bi because no one knows my super special label and I'm just so oppressed because of this!!!"
Like bitch, you are two steps away from understanding that THEY ARE THE SAME FUCKING THING.
And the only real difference here is that pansexuality has some pretty biphobic (and often transphobic) definitions.

LMAO imagine calling me, a trans woman, a TERF! Fuck off cunt!
Pansexual is literally a paraphilia that was recoined in 2002 in order to erase bisexuality and our history because people have always hated bisexuals and wanted to paint all of us as transphobic. Which you would know if you actually knew you're history, which clearly you fucking don't. I mean you're literally using a term that literally means "attracted to animals" per Freud's creation of it. Why you would want to use a term created by him is BEYOND me especially when bisexuality literally means attraction regardless of gender, something that the lot of you STOLE! Pansexuality has no actually history in regards of LGBT history, all of it is stolen and rehashed bisexual history.
But sure keep using a term that is actively harming the bisexual (and trans) community. But don't be surprised when we keep calling you out for it.

Block list of Anti-mspec lesbians: part 1
Terfsarecunts - public post on the 25th about how bi lesbians/ Mspec lesbian don’t exist and people who identify as such/support them are both biphobic and lesbianphobic (I have no idea how to spell them sorry)
@bisexualityisgood - just- no. Doesn’t believe in labels like pan or Omni. Anti with basically anything that isn’t a perfect little wrapped box of gay, lesbian or bisexual
@lilacbestpurple - doesn’t believe in the pansexual label. Anti mspec lesbian

“I’m bi with a preference for women”- Six words. eight syllables. Conveys meaning with elegance and grace.
“Actually, it’s easier to say I’m a bi lesbian because (DROPS PARAGRAPH)“ I’m already bored. not reading that. I’m just going to laugh at you.

Hmm, we need "m-spec" exclusionism because more and more people outside of political LGBT spaces are being misinformed about what pansexual is, and it's significantly contributing to the erasure of bisexuals while also making the stigma worse actually.
Obviously I'm not mad at people who are uninformed or are mistakenly using the term because they were told it's 'more inclusive' or whatever but it is so annoying that normal people on the street use the term. I can't fault someone for making a mistake in good faith.
However fuck the people that try to debate me about my own sexuality, especially if they pull the 'actually, that's pan.' I hope all the sex you ever have is mediocre at best.

Friendly reminder that it is never okay to harass pansexuals, even if you’re anti pan or pan critical.
Pan people are also queer. We literally all agree on this. The world is still a scary place to be queer a lot of the time, and we need to support each other. I don’t care if you’re the most battleaxe bisexual to ever bisexual, refusing to stand with or help other queer people because of the label they use is shitty.
Discussing the legitimate issues with specific labels and the ways that they’re used is fine. Attacking people just because they use those specific labels isn’t. Regardless of whether or not the label is problematic, literally nobody is using it with malicious intent.
