My least favourite thing that this generation is doing, is saying that it is only the corporations fault for our failing world.

It is their fault, don't get me wrong. But we as individuals are just as responsible for our own emissions and waste.

You can do stuff to help, do not blame the corporations, companies and businesses and then turn around and do nothing about it.

Campaign against them, ask for change, get laws and regulations introduced, don't do nothing while pumping out your own emissions/waste and putting the blame solely on the corporations shoulders.

why are you acting like straws are the most important thing here...? straws and stuff like it makes up like less than 1%, a fraction of a percent, of plastic waste. random people just trying to deal with their disability arent the problem, maybe its the big ass corporations that have infinitely more impact than just a single person? maybe its the ceos who are actively profiting off their companies constantly destroying the environment?

this individualistic view of climate change isn't helping anyone.. in fact, the idea of the carbon footprint was made by the fossil fuel industry to make consumers stop focusing on them and just worry about their own individual impact. you're playing into their hands...

heres my honest opinion. single use plastic straws should be banned. if you have a disability that leaves you immunocompromised and with motor skills ect ect that makes it a needed object, then you should be able to get some, for the same price as they currently are, but from a hospital or medical outlet. Such as a pharmacy with a "prescription". No increase in price.

If you are diagnosed with a disability that requires you to have the straws, its done without thought. Like no extra paper work. just like a tick on a form.

A big pack, not like 10, but like 50-100. Be honest how many are you personally using?

So single use plastic straws and people that use them for any reason are the devil, but Taylor Swift producing god knows how much carbon emissions with her private jets is just a silly oopsie daisy because you like her music?

Yes she shouldn't be doing it, yes she should just drive, yes she should off set those emissions. But her options are limited due to the fact if she drives she is going to be stalked and harassed.

With all due respect, someone tracking her plane movements, which explicitly were NOT for emissions tracking, is stalking. If they track the LENGTH and not locations, along with how many tonnes of green house gases she produces, then that is 100% fine and should be done. Not only for her but for every person and corporation that produces green house gases or toxic emissions.

corporations produce more carbon emissions then regular people, but that does not mean regular people aren't also to blame.

regular people use and dispose of more single use plastic then corporations, but that doesn't mean that the corporations aren't also to blame.
