“Follow your heart.”

✦ Leafpool grew up in the rural area of Thundertown, right next to the Forest: a dark, unwelcoming place where no one would ever go. Her kithood was spent playing a little too close to the Forest’s border. She meets a spirit named Spottedleaf, a motherly figure who she bonds with after her mentor’s untimely death. Spottedleaf guides Leafpool as Thundertown’s only doctor, much like a mother would guide her daughter. As their relationship grows, Leafpool becomes dependent on Spottedleaf’s mentorship. When Spottedleaf and the other spirits send her a false prophecy, Leafpool is left destitute.

This rewrite (or partial rewrite) is inspired by @oldfacesnewdawnoffical , @bonefall , @ruse-rewrites-warriorcats , and @cats-of-eden-valley ; all of whom are very great writers that I am a very big fan of! I do not aim to ‘fix’ the warriors lore or try and change everything, but rather write a story centered around my two favorite characters: Leafpool and Spottedleaf! I also want to explore writing horror with this, and get better at drawing anthros haha. Happy reading, and remember, Fear the Forest!
