It's so well-constructed and beautifully executed, I can only dream of one day being able to write something half as good. If anyone has read this please talk to me! I don't know anyone who has!

The blood in the bathroom tiles, wall and sink, his bloodied and roughly wrapped hand and the missing and broken glass would give him away; albeit a shattered mirror was enough for you to rush to him in a flurry of worried words and hushed comfort. 

He felt so fucking disgusting, you cared so much about him, so much care and dedication you devoted to him and him alone since you’ve been young. The words you’d whisper in his ears at night when his regrets crawled out, burdening his mind with bloody and visceral images that terrorised him. You were his solid link, the anchor that held him firmly alive and sane, able enough to keep going. 

You were his lifeline as he was yours, you clutched onto him for love and comfort while he latched on you for the same, but he had needs, dark ideas and images he made with you. His sacrilegious dreams and thoughts violated his image of you, the sweet girl he protected from your abusive father that would beat you and him. 

Stop, this is disgusting, he kept reminding himself, screaming the words to himself in the bathroom, the shower head pouring scalding water upon his request as punishment. Stop it. Stop it, Simon, he screamed, but it never helped, the burning water, the frozen winter, or the pain from wounds, they all numbed until he seaked you out. It only happend with him or the team, feeling comfortable enough to let them in, to let down the wall you built around you and him enough so that they could see the real you. Task Force 141 truly became a new family, to him and to you.

He shushed your nerves, hands trailing down your backed back to your hips, thumb rubbing circles on your warm skin. You straddled him, he told you that it would make him feel better, it would help him relax and take the edge off. One hand went back to cradle the back of your neck and pushed your closer to him, his head laying on top of yours. Authors note: I think this request was a great idea, so im getting on right quick, so anon, when you see this i hope you enjoy it!!!!

You were laying down in bed, reading a romance novel, particularly a chapter where kids were involved. You had always wanted a kid, that was for sure, and you knew that you wanted a kid with Izzy. You and Izzy had been dating for quite awhile now, so you thought it was time to mention kids to him. The idea of having a little one running around the house warmed your heart, you couldnt even count how many nights you day dreamed about seeing Izzy holding your baby, or seeing him teaching your kid how to play guitar.

It plagued your mind completely. You felt ready, and you thought he was too. You hear the door open and run downstairs to greet your boyfriend.

“Izzy!!” You giggled running up to him and hugging him.

“Hi sweetheart,” He smiled brightly at you.

“How was work?” You asked, staring up at him with a sweet smile.

“Stressful,” he sighed. “But its okay cuz im home now”

A tear rolled down your cheek.

“Because we’re so young y/n! I mean, we’d make horrible parents,” He said, getting just a little bit louder.

“You dont even know that!” You yelled at him. “I cant believe you’d say that Jeffrey.”

He looked sad, and confused, he looked angry, but not at you. He sighed.

“I gotta go,” He said turning on his heel and grabbing his car keys.

“Wow,” you said. “Real mature izz, real mature”

“Whatever,” He slammed the door shut.

You ran up to your bedroom and slammed the door before sitting on your bed and sobbing your eyes out.

Meanwhile, Izzy was driving to his bandmates house, Steven. If anybody had romance advice it’d definitely be him. Izzy turned into Steven’s drive way before walking up the doorbell and ringing it.

“Dude hey!” Steven said, opening the door immediately.

“I need advice,” Izz looked at him sadly.

“Oh come in,” He said confused, walking to the couch. “Whats up?”

Izzy looked down at the floor before speaking.

“Y/n told me she wants kids,” He started.

“Anddd?” Steven sat with his fist pressed against his head, holding it up. “What’d you tell her?”

“I told her i didnt know,” Izzy looked down at the floor again. “Its not that I dont want kids, and its not that I dont want kids with HER. Im just so terrified of being a bad father you know?”

Steven nodded, intently listening.

“I’d love to see you/n as a mother to my children, god she’d be amazing at it. But the last thing I want is to ruin her and our kids life. You know what if the band goes on more tours and U have to leave for extended periods? Or what if i slip up and drink too much. Im so scared of hurting her or our future kids”

“Well first of all, you can always bring them with us, and secondly, you’d be a great dad, and besides, do you really think she’d mad for one tiny mistake? I mean dude have you seen the way she looks at you?” Steven replied.

“I’ve noticed, and I really adore her. Im just… totally scared” Izzy sighed.

“Have you told her that man?” He asked, looking at Izz.

“I dont want her to judge me,” He shook his head.

“Trust me, i dont think theres a single ounce in that woman that could judge you.” Steven laughed, patting his shoulder. “Go home and try again”

“Yeah yeah you’re right man,” izzy got up. “Thanks I really own you one dude.”

“You sure do,” Steven walked Izzy to the door.

They said their goodbyes and Izzy left for home.

“Can we please talk?” He asked quietly, his strong hand on her shoulder.

You turned around and sat up, sitting in front of Izzy.

“What.” You said.

“Im really sorry,” He looked deep into your eyes. “The last thing I wanted was to hurt you, you mean the world to me. Truth is i’ve always wanted kids with you, it’d warm my heart so much to see you pregnant with our baby, and stuff. Im just so scared of messing it up”

Your eyes softened as your right hand reached out to his face.

“What do you mean?” You pouted. “You’d make an amazing dad.”

“What if i have to go on tour? Or if i drink too much, i dont want to make any mistakes and hurt your or our child.” His eyes slightly turned red. “I love way too much to let that happen”

“Never in a million years would I think you’d hurt me or our future kid. It’d make me so happy to see you as a dad, you be amazing at it. I think you’re the perfect guy, and making mistakes is okay, especially as first time parents,” Your hand stroked his cheek.

“I want to try y/n” He spoke.

“Really?” Your eyes widened.

I get where that anon might be coming from but in reality it’s also their choice to consume certain media. I get it Hybrids aren’t everyone’s thing and that’s fine, but don’t come out swinging at people hun.

It’s perfectly fine to not like it, but just remove yourself if you don’t. And seeing how you even stated the reader is a consenting adult and is a human with animal traits does not fully class as beastality or even zoophilia.

The definition of both is a human having sexual contact with a non-human animal (and something that cannot consent). How is it any different from puppy, pony, or kitten play aside from hormones? Plus anon, it’s fanfiction these aren’t actual scenarios or someone’s life it’s literally just people going off and having ADHD hyperfocus on “What if they were this?” Or “How would they do with this kind of lifestyle?” It isn’t meant to be real.

Once again, YOU are responsible for what media you consume. Don’t come at people because they are writing about something you don’t like or have a distaste for. saw your post abt rapunzel manipulating tim in their convo and god hard agree it Is concerning that so many ppl didn't see it. also crazy to me that ppl are mad at tim and defending rapunzel, saying that they would have taken the book too because tim was being rude etc. to me it seemed that both tim the character and ally the player Wanted to believe that rapunzel wasn't part of the plan and was good but just kind of strange, and both are successfully fooled. tim absolutely fumbles the interaction and ally could have played things better, but rapunzel was so clearly in charge of the conversation, leading him into saying worse and worse things and putting his foot in his mouth while tim was genuinely trying to be nice. tim is awkward and blunt and eccentric with Everyone, it's weird that ppl are saying he was being singularly rude to her or patronizing her or that he deserved to get the book taken. that interaction was clumsy as hell and so many words could have been chosen better but tim so clearly was trying so hard to fix his initial fuck up and be friendly w her in the same weird way he talks to everyone. I don't see how ppl came out of that scene on her side even if tim was a little rude and unfortunate w his word choice, and it's concerning to see ppl being like "ha take that stupid old man!!" abt the book being taken + in defense of a character we met an episode and a half ago and who we have been told outright is an expert at deceiving people. the princesses are so so interesting as characters and the morals going on are complex and that's a whole different conversation, but I feel like no matter whether you love rapunzel or not, ppl should be able to recognize that she was manipulating tim in that moment and taking advantage of his trusting disposition. not trying to start discourse in your ask box ofc!!! I've just seen No One Else express discomfort w rapunzel in that scene

anon this ask has been living in my head rent free since you sent it, i've been stewing over how to respond because y e s. for context, check out this post to save discourse on main (this is about to be a long one of fan critic analysis, get your popcorn and settle in if you wanna read, this is the longest post i've ever made), im gonna put my thoughts and response under a read more, sososo many spoilers under the cut read at your own risk

These were all in the replies and tags and I want to reply to all of them bc they're all worthy of being talked about bc i feel like the majority of the fandom is almost scared to critique?? So like let's talk about it since nobody else seems to be taking this approach from what I can tell (thank you to you anon for being on my side as well as the rest of you who are screaming with me) I will begin by saying that my original post is not critiquing ally the player, or any of the other players. i understand that they were in that dome, filming a session of dungeons and dragons, and improv acting and roleplaying for many hours on end with back to back episodes. i kind of get ally and the rest of the table maybe just wanting to "hope for the best", especially ally as they are quite a "hope for the good in others" type of person. it's frustrating from a viewer perspective sure, but i totally dont blame anyone ever for making a "wrong" or "non-optimal" choice while playing a ttrpg, they just have the misfortune of being filmed while doing so. i myself have made tons of bag fumbles while playing dnd, even when i thought everything through ten times over. so anything i have said or will say forward isn't to put any shouldering on to the people playing these silly storybook characters, like, i Get It

What i do want to critique is the fan response, which is the more worrying one!!! like i said in my original post, i was surprised by my d20 watch buddy having a similar response to ally. the total "oh, maybe she's just quirky bc of the self isolation, maybe she's autism rep" approach. my friend, love her to death, is also one of those "sees the best in others and hope everyone is always aiming to be their best selves" type of person, very similar to ally. i came online after that episode expecting everybody on the fanbase level to be screaming with me in a "i told you so!!" way

instead. i came online and saw people just on the attack and the defense in absolutely skewed ways!! out of NOWHERE, all these fans have come on to post about how "tim was patronizing her, and thats why she stole the book" "wow i would have hated being called girly and honey as well" "wow these conversations really didnt go their way why was tim so mean to her :(" or the opposite of "rapunzel is the evilest person to ever exist bc xyz these princesses are evil villains" or "we need to protect these princesses bc they just didnt know any better uwu"

i feel like, on a fan level, me and you anon (+all these lovely folks in the notes of that post) were the only ones screaming "hold on, that is literally not the same media i just watched"

i've seen before a lot of people be like "wow, media literacy is at an all time low" and i never really understood that until i saw the reactions after that episode. as a fan or viewer watching any media, we have the privilege of seeing more about the media than the people who are creating it. that's the best joy of being a viewer, we get to sit back and spot those foreshadowing moments and bite our nails in suspense when the music goes creepy and see the artwork and overall, we have the privilege of catching vibes that maybe those acting in it do not. this leads to those bonding moments of "i told you so" "wow im biting my nails and pacing" "oh they're gonna REGRET that". and, an "oh my god no no no do not hug her she wants to take your book god now she's feeling you up with her hair she's looking for the book ROLL INITIATIVE!!!!". it leads to glorious moments of ~dramatic irony~, a literary term for literally when something is happening in a story and the readers can catch it, but the protagonist probably didnt bc they're not seeing the full picture. While watching, from my perspective, yeah it was frustrating to watch the player bag fumble turn after turn, but it's a game of dnd, they film so many back to back, they don't get the same experience as us. however.

brennan did a great job at dropping the foreshadowing, to the point of not even so much subtly foreshadowing, he DIRECTLY TOLD THEM rapunzel was a liar and uses her words as knives. like someone pointed out, the players even PAID for that information, with the golden bridle. by the time they met these princesses, they probably knew the most about rapunzel's true nature over all the other princesses, that she uses her charisma to her advantage. the players made their choice to do the diplomatic route, to split up and chat. ally did the right thing for picking rapunzel with tim's 19 charisma stat, it would have been charisma against charisma, and an even playing field for someone they have been explicitly told is a master of words and deceit.

as fans, we've seen these episodes edited and put back to back. clues are lined up in a row. was it frustrating to see ally playing tim in a naïve way? sure. but tim's been pretty naïve this whole time, so you could stack it up to a character choice. what's more frustrating is seeing the responses of viewers being blindsided by the book thieving and chalking it all up to "evil vs good" and rapunzel's choice shaking them to their cores.

by this point in the story, by the time you get to that episode, rapunzel already gave enough bad vibes with the talk of her charismatic deceits and with her hair everywhere spying on them. maybe that last one wasn't explicitly stated, but it was heavily implied to the point of gerard writing the plans on a note instead of wanting them said out loud by elody, a scene that happened way before tim's. by the time we see rapunzel get to the kitchen, she is INSTANTLY catty. someone described her on the post as "eldritch regina george" and. yes. exactly. eldritch regina george. from our privileged spot as a viewer, rapunzel comes in, puts on the fake smile, puts on her fake tone, and says "what are you doing in here? :)". she was already ready to fight timothy. that first sentence was hostile. she was OFFENDED and checking on tim to make sure mother goose wasn't counter-spying. i honestly didnt think that would have to have been explicitly stated, she was in attack mode and plastered the fake smile for a show so that she had the upperhand in the conversation that was about to happen. this is something that fans should have at least caught on to right off the bat, we've been explicitly told that she is fake more than she is honest for the sake of being a "performative person"

the conversation happens, and she starts becoming more verbally hostile. "i dont know, what SHOULD we do hehe. it's ruined now :)" "no use in crying over spilt milk *pours milk with hair on the floor with a smile* oh no :)" "...or if it was on purpose :/ :)" "why dont you go get a mop :)" "i chose to be charming :)"

every sentence she replied with was carefully chosen. as viewers, we can watch brennan's face in full clarity of intimidation. we can have the knowledge that has been provided to not trust rapunzel as she is a charismatic spy who has words for knives. in my opinion, even without those clues before now, her show that she put on in the kitchen should have been enough as is to show that she is acting maliciously and with hostility. the smile is there as to not incite physical violence on tim's part bc then it would make TIM look like the bad guy if he attacked first. by the time she goes in for the hug. im sorry. but ally the player should have caught that, the whole table should have caught that, and-more importantly-the fans should have caught that. we all watched the same thing. we have all been told the same information. to purposefully ignore all of the red flags just to pull a "well tim was kind of mean and patronizing, and rapunzel doesnt have social skills from being locked in a tower, i forgive her, wow i didnt see that coming" is absolutely *batshit*

the lack of people catching on is what concerns me. i've met TONS of people growing up (sorry here, im all for women's wrongs, but mainly cis-girls tbh) who act like rapunzel does. from middle school and high school bullies/mean girls. mean girls at college. from parents or teachers or bosses. from normal adults in my life. they always have the same tone and inflections in the same places. the same faces with the wrinkled nose. the same sickly sweet smile. brennan played rapunzel, a known manipulator, perfectly. to a T. he embodied it fully. people JUST LIKE RAPUNZEL walk amongst us every day. i can guarantee you that even these fans that didnt catch it have met people like rapunzel in their own lives.

rapunzel is a character yes, but she is a character that mimics a masterclass manipulator. she IS the mean girl, the regina george. it leaked out of her every word, tone, and inflection. every single thing told about her and shown was, in no world, some "uwu the sweet bean was locked in a tower and doesnt have social skills". that was her origin, her start point. just like sleeping beauty locked in a castle, snow locked in her coffin. rapunzel directly says "i chose to be charming. :)." she had her origin of no social skills, her sad origin of being locked in isolation in her tower, and said "this is my greatest flaw, so i am going to dedicate my life to improving this skill bc it's what stopping me from achieving my goals." she trained her social skills to be good. too good. so good that she hopes nobody will catch her sweet charming self in the act of malicious intentions. this. was. directly. stated.

it worries me on a psychological level of the fans. yes it shows a lack of media literacy, something is frustrating on a fan-to-fan level. it shows a lack of ability of critical thinking. it shows a lack of ability to participate in dramatic irony, a necessary literary device to instill tension into a horror campaign. but also, and to what is probably my main point in this novel long hot take: it has real world implications. mean girls like rapunzel are a guarantee in life. i'm sorry, but it's true. maybe the person acts differently, maybe they aren't as obvious or more obvious. but these people walk amongst us. they use the same tone and same cadence to their words. these manipulators see what they want, and devise a way to convince the person into giving them what they want. rapunzel did not use the Charm Person spell, or the Friendship spell. She used. her words. like a normal human being. and by doing so, we as the fans were able to catch on and should have had a moment of "RUN GOOSE, RUN AWAY, NO DONT LET HER HUG YOU". but instead, a lot of people turn a blind eye to these manipulators in their lives. they pull a "aw but they have a tragic backstory, they're just confused and need love :/" "they cant be THAT bad..." they see a sweet little smile on the face and an upticked tone of voice, and go "well, they're playing nice, so now i have to play nice bc otherwise im the bad guy here" which!!! you do not!!

this is exactly how manipulators worm their ways in, this is what ALLOWS manipulation to work in its various forms. it's how people get trapped in abusive relationships. it's how people get scammed. on a personal end, i lived a narcissistic manipulator for a long time growing up, and it was exhausting. once you could put down the rose colored glasses and see right through the act, you notice how every inch of their mannerisms are performative. everything they say and do comes with the caveat of them wanting something from you and are trying to butter you up in the meantime. if you catch and call onto it, they IMMEDIATELY turn on you, they sneer and retreat to their next target who it will fool. the cycle continues, the next target is selected.

on a fan level, if we as fans cannot play into dramatic irony as a practice, if we cannot exit our seats of mind to catch on to those "eldritch regina george" quirks at the bud in a piece of fictional media where the puzzle has been handed on a silver platter, then there is a l o t more work to be done on 1) general media literacy 2) ANY fandom perception on media and 3) general awareness of how to spot and deal with manipulators in real life. if you can't catch on to it in a silly fictional ttrpg media, how do you expect to catch on to it in real life? how many of these same fans are trapped in manipulative relationships around them? how many more will they fall for bc of the "oh no but they have tragic backstory so it's forgiven uwu"? as fans, you cant sit there in the same breath saying that tim was condescending to rapunzel and then follow it up with not noticing what was ACTUALLY happening in real time. if you wanna say that rapunzel was ALLOWED to be a manipulator because of her origin, what other manipulators are you defending in your real life? how many of these manipulators continue their tricks BECAUSE they know naïve people exist and will fall for it? how many have been enabled in the same cycle bc it worked on one so it'll work on the next?

Same anon- wasnt trying to imply that with blossom either! Just wanted to say that it could've been read that way and could be triggering to some, and the fact that no one speaks up felt off, even if its against the code. I've never read the more recent books either, so by the way the posts were spaced it felt like the series goes Df battle > Tempest > Ashfur in the span of a few moons, meaning blossom went from one horrible event to another and was still feeling isolated and shameful. Sorry if anything came off as confrontational or mean!

As for the 'why dont they leave?' thing, I think we all default to how Ravenpaw actually DOES leave and we just apply the same logic. As humans we naturally draw connections, and if we see a situation where a whole clan turns on one cat, we ask why didn't they just do what Ravenpaw (or Dovewing iirc) did and decide they can't deal with this and it's better to move on. It's a pattern that we itch to see fulfilled: Tigerclaw turns everyone on Ravenpaw so he leaves, Dovewing gets her whole clan telling her to do better so she leaves, Blossomfall gets named as a traitor and repeatedly gets dishonor titles to remind her of all her faults- why do cat not leave???

But yeah, if Blossom got to heal, i retract my statement entirely. I just was going off the logic that she felt isolated/cut off and that being told she's better off invisible would just shove her further into that belief. I do wanna ask, do you know what the thing Blossom spoke up about that got her slapped with the title?

TBC, which is at least a year after AVOS, with all of Blossomfall's children now being young warriors and her life coming back into order

So Blossomfall is having a pretty long journey here! Her life has been rocky and she can be a really nasty person, but she was brought back into ThunderClan because she is still loved. There are people who really want to see her get better.

And as for when she gets Clearface'd, I'm torn on it either being the first sign and SUPER shocking because it was just the normal amount of Blossom-sass, OR it coming right after the death of Bristlefrost and she argued that

"Bristlefrost was a codebreaker but who cares! She was a warrior of ThunderClan! There's no way that StarClan--"

And then interrupted and quashed with the title.

So, first option, to demonstrate Bramblefake's new level of malice at the earliest possible point and use Bristlefrost's death as the "turning point" of the arc where cruelty becomes violence,

Or, as a direct response to Bristlefrost's death, and the moment where there begins to be suspicion, because Bramblestar is NOT this good at naming.

As for the question: hehe, I think there are many possible answers but I'm going to assume this is early in a relationship!

MC and RO are at lunch in a restaurant as a group - during a quiet moment, MC silently slips a hand into RO's for no reason at all, and it's so subtle that no one else notices.

G smirks and doesn't turn their head to look, just continues making their goddamn insufferably smart argument, to nods and "oh dang that's true"s from the rest. But there's a small amused twitch of their lips and they give MC's hand a little squeeze until they're done responding. Then, when the group's attention has shifted elsewhere, they lean in, very close to the MC, and meet their gaze with twinkling, mischievous eyes. "God, I want to kiss you," They whisper, low and smokey.

Tobin immediately brightens, a wide-mouthed, generous smile breaking across their face. It lights up the entire room, the way Tobin's happiness usually does - infectious and outward-radiating. And yet, when they meet MC's gaze, it's a look meant only for them - still warm, but sparkling with a crackling, unmistakeable heat. Later, when the meal is done, the rest head out but Tobin hangs back and tugs MC back as well, giving them a full kiss to the lips, open-mouthed and smiling with just a hint of hunger.

Rayyan blinks. Then, very slowly, they turn to MC, a warm pink color dusted on the tips of their cheekbones and ears. Rayyan tries their best to hide how MC's touch pulls out a low tug at their gut, and instead furrows their brow and arches an eyebrow at MC. But when MC snorts and starts to move their hand away, Rayyan pulls their entwined hands a little closer into their lap, flashing a small, imperceptible smile.

Sam pauses mid-sentence, immediately losing their train of thought, entire body going quiet and still. The look that they give MC is slow, complicated, and almost heartrendingly genuine - emotions dance across their expressive features as they put their other hand on top of MC's, squeezing tight. They lean in close to MC, breathing in their familiar scent, and smile. "What were you saying?" MC prompts, biting back their own smile. Sam shrugs, laughing. "Dunno, but now - I just wanna tell you how nice this feels."

ill be honest with you faiza. i truly dont want be negative but i dont think sungho will ever choose junseong. even if he says hes indecisive between him and seonwoo, he'll always choose seonwoo in the end as long as he keeps giving him any hope. and im not saying sungho doesnt like junseong, they clearly get along so well, even if nothing else happens their relationship as friends or something else makes my heart warm, anyone can see it, but he keeps saying that since he's never had a chance to be on a date with him he doesn't know but they've been together so many times... they were roommates too...

it breaks my heart because you can see that since the beginning junseong has never lied and has never jumped between people. his heart has always been in the same direction and he has never played with anyones feelings, truthfully he's i think the only person, or at least the one i respect the most in that house.

you can also see that he himself has no hopes either, he's like "i dont think he'll choose me but ill pursue him anyway because that's just how much i like and feel for him". there's also that scene where he cries and i know the trailer is edited in a way where the context for most scenes is all wrong but... to see him cry, i can tell it's not because of something good. i hate to see someone im rooting for going after someone that might never show any interest in them, it hurts a bit to see. (this is not me hating on sungho!! love that cutie but i just dont know...i know he's not trying to be hurtful on purpose its just how these things are)

i try to not get involved in dating shows because these things never go well but maybe its because im queer too and i feel different about a dating show dedicated to queer people. and maybe its also because i just feel for junseong and i just want him to be happy but im truly nervous about the next episodes... im sorry to just write so much about this to you but i started watching this because of you so you should feel responsible!

oh anon, i know what you mean. i truly do love junsung from the bottom of my heart. he's from one of the few people who have just. remained true and genuine. and its how much he likes sungho and how clear as day he is about it, but at the same time, never putting any stress or pressure on sungho. he's so selfless but will stand his ground and is determined and its everything you'd want.

and i get what u mean. theres this fear that all seunwoo has to do is give an inch and sungho will go to him. and that might happen. but, as of now, sungho said in ep 7 that he feels equally for them both. truth is it hurt seeing just how stressed sungho looked tbh. he doesnt want to hurt anyone with the decisions he makes and none of it comes from a place of malice.

but i also wanna say that sungho isnt naive. he isnt stupid. he clearly can read seunwoo and junsung and their body language so well. he observes it all. and he's starting to notice seunwoo for the people pleaser that he is. and at some point sungho's got to make that call of what it is he wants to go for, but he isnt stupid. so, yeah, i havent given up hope on 2sung just yet, not at all. we're only halfway through the show!

what we are all certain on is that junsung will keep fighting till the end for sungho's affection.

and i also feel like saying that, yeah, the phonecalls are a huge part of the show, but they arent the be all and end all. i know we're all, just like junsung, waiting for sungho to choose junsung and ring him, but there's so so much sungho has done and shown outside of that that shows his feelings towards junsung. and i think that matters just as much. the notes, the choosing junsung as his roommate again, all the little things in episode 7 between them, there is so much warmth and genuine affection sungho has towards junsung too. and that keeps junsung going, makes it worth it bc sungho is giving something back to him too.

of course, its sungho's call to make at the end of the day, but i wouldnt get disheartened just yet!

i think theyre both looking to preserve themselves in a way. i think its all good then they fuck and its like. okay so max is looking to get with someone (in my mind its also an ex, but maybe even danny) and uses george as a crutch despite their little interaction. then george thinks too impulsively and also uses max as a temporary solution. then HE GETS WITH THE GIRLFRIEND AGAIN......then he gets scared and doesn't tell max until its too late. so now he's gotta apologize

(im kind of thinking of imola 2021 where george took full responsibility for the incident w valtteri after reflecting for a bit! he made a bad judgement but fixed it immediately!)

You’re Mondstadt’s golden couple, but also just a little too much sometimes. 😝 I could see Kaeya initially getting close to you as an information source (since you’re well liked in Mondstadt and seemingly can’t stop yourself from spilling all the hot goss), sticking around because he finds your rambling and childishness cute and enjoys riling you up, and gradually falling in love with your deeply empathetic nature. For whatever reason I don’t see Kaeya being super into metal (though he’ll listen to it and go to shows with you, like a good bf), but I could see him being an extremely troll-y true crime fan.

K is for Kiss

Okay, I’m undoubtedly biased because he’s my favorite, but there’s no way he’s not an amazing kisser, right? Very seductive and playful, perfectly smooth lips, just the right amount of tongue, and he’s also great at using his hands. Like, suggestively rubbing your waist (not too high or low ofc, he’s an honorable Knight of Favonius after all), or maybe trailing a chilly fingertip down the side of your neck. If his kissing technique has a flaw, it’s that he can be a little lacking in genuine passion. But be patient with him, it’s just hard for him to express his true feelings sometimes.

L is for Love Confession

This would be very difficult for Kaeya I think. Like you, he’s used to keeping his emotions locked up tight, but he almost never loses control of them - at least, not where anyone else can see. He has a lot of trauma around losing or being left by people he loves - his bio dad, his adopted dad, his adopted brother, to name a few. There’s also his heavy responsibilities as cavalry captain (/basically one-man FBI of Mondstadt), the looming threat of Khaenri’ah (and what side he’ll choose when that goes down), just so many justifications for keeping you at arm's length. He’ll only confess when it seems like he’s in danger of losing you, and even then part of you may worry he’s just telling you what you want to hear, but he means it.

O is for On Cloud Nine

To most people in Mondstadt Kaeya in love is almost identical to his usual charming self. But you know the three people who notice the biggest change? Venti, Rosaria, and Diluc. Kaeya still spends most of his evenings hanging out in Angel’s Share - that’s actually for work as much as for fun - but he gets drunk less often and rarely stays until closing time now that he has someone to go home to. Diluc thanks you for influencing Kaeya to be a less obnoxious customer (but secretly it’s for making his brother happy 🥲).

Discworld has a bit of everything, all over the place, and its all good? The style changes a bit from earlier books to later ones, and some people prefer the later ones, but theyre all still very good.

(When you hear that its usually like i liked the earlier books but the later/middle ones were a spiritual experience for me)

Theres a lot of semi-niche topics explored by individual books, and a few sort of sub series with particular reoccuring protagonists and sort of genres, so you can go and start with either characters you think you'll like, or topics you think you'll like, (and either way get sucked in to a portion of the discworld youll probably enjoy branching out of eventually, but are loathe to leave behind, and then again and again with the next chunk you find a friend in)

One way of choosing is to look up those flowcharts people have made to help decide which discworld book to read/try

Another is to start with a sub series (eg, death, the watch, the witches, whatever moist von lipwig or the times have going on, whatever the gods have going on, whatever tiffany aching the practical witch child with the tiny blue scottsmen has going on...etc. oh also rincewind, fail wizard extraordinaire)

(With that one youd probably go death, i assume, the earliest being mort, which is good but some people dont jive with it immediately like they do with the rest of them, so just fair warning its usually that folks like the rest if they like mort, but the opposite isnt true. They sometimes dont like mort but do like the rest.)

You could also read some of the descriptions and just try out one you vibe with

Uh the most reliable way ive found is you find a discworld person and ask them to recommend you a book and then they ask you like 5 increasingly confusing, specific, and "deep" questions and then go 'ok these two changed my life so i have to recommend them, but i think this one will change /your/ life, and if that doesn't work try this one? I really hope you like them and get something out of them but if not oh well. Good luck!!!!'

And then you have like 4 books to work with and if you end up liking them you sort of find your way naturally around the Discworld

Theres also podcasts that go through all the books so if you dont mind spoilers you could always look up specific eps/books to get a feel for whether a particular book is for you

From all the replies and such I've seen, there are definitely a lot of places to start up Discworld and a lot of them seem very interesting and fun to me (there's so many things! its so diverse! i want to eat all of it!)

I've also gone through a few flowcharts (at least two people sent me here so thank you!) and have gotten Mort and Wyrd Sisters on a few of them

Thanks for the warning about Mort sometimes not jiving with people, I'm notorious amongst my friends for finishing reading books even if I dislike them (I usually do this with Stephen King once a year bcuz I like his ideas and inherited a bunch of his books but rarely enjoy the way he writes) so I'm sure I could through Mort if I don't jive with it at first

I'm also absolutely down to hear your (and others) Life Changing Discworld books to look into (I'm a huge book nerd and I love hearing from other book nerds!) It also makes sense to give more specific recs with better info, when I originally posted that last night I had No Idea how diverse the content in Discworld is, I've learned since then it's much broader than I thought tbh. Pretty much everything you listed there sounds very interesting (we do love the follies of man and subverting tropes tho)

Write the fucking chapter now!!!" readers) and i was more anxious ab it after time passed without getting an answer (ngl i was p much straight up stalking your blog every few hours the first few days then i saw a post from you about how tumblr eats your asks and calmed down quite a bit) but yeah anyway i just really wanted to tell you how much i loved ypur stuff and how strongly i feel about autophobia and your writing in general hopefully without making you uncomfy or coming across as rude or anything i hope i succeed in doing that at least kinda

I'm the actual worst at responding on Tumblr, I'm so sorry.

Your asks, both the previous one and this one, are so sweet! I never mind long asks, though it does take me longer to respond to them. Seriously, if it takes me a while to answer, it's because most of my work days are 10-12 hours and I do not have energy to reply, it's a busy life!! My mobile Tumblr (which is what I normally use) does not give me any alert that I get an ask, but if I check my mobile tumblr, my desktop tumblr will not show that I have an ask because it thinks I saw the notification on mobile (which I don't). So also blame the wonky app lol.

There are months of effort that go into all my pieces on AO3, especially Autophobia, so messages like these that show that people know how much effort I put into my work are so rewarding. And I love Descendants, it brought my such entertainment and joy during harsh periods of my life, I am in awe if my writing helped you to love a fandom as much as I do!

And I've had a lot of people tell me that Autophobia is their favorite ABO fic or the fic that got them invested in that trope, which also means so much to me because ABO is my favorite AU!!

thank you sm liv i love you 😭 (if this takes a while to get to you it’s bc i was trying to word it in the least confusing way LOL) ok so basically! i start college next year and this friday, our dorm request/application form opens up and we need to fill it out asap. the issue is im basically in a crippling trio friendship rn 😭😭😭 with me, by best friend, and the third friend. theres only two people to a room and me and my best friend really want to room together (not just because we're closer but we both think that our personalities would work better sharing a room if that makes sense). it wouldnt be a big deal to tell our third friend that we want to room together but me and my best friend found out from someone else that our third friend feels like we're distancing ourselves from her and that she feels left out (i just wanna clarify that this isnt anything on purpose, we just never see each other at school anymore because of different schedules and stuff). sooo the problem is that our third friend feels left out and me and my best friend dont know how to bring up that we want to room together without hurting our third friends feelings 😭 so basically i just wanted to ask you how we should bring up the dorm situation without being mean?? ive talked to a few different people about it and they've all said something like "just be honest with her" but me and my best friend feel like horrible people tbh 😭😭 ANYWAYS thats all. if anything doesnt make sense i will 100% clarify for you dw and thank you anyways for even taking the time to read this and respond. like seriously i love u!!!

first of all, congrats on starting college!!! i have to be honest, this is a time where lots of friends do grow apart or friend groups go their own ways because life just kind of naturally flows that way. you may not know youre distancing yourself but again - life will naturally push and pull you from people and sometimes it will be forever friendships and other times people will fade out of your life a bit. i have plenty of people that used to be my closest friends that now i barely speak to because life has just taken us in different directions but there are no hard feelings and still so much love there. i think you just have to be honest with your third friend though and just say that you feel like its best for both of you to room together as the reasons you told me in your ask above. :o

i know that hearing 'just be honest' is not really what helps right now... i agree that it would be helpful but that isnt going to take away your anxiety around the situation.

i think you don't have to be brutally honest but you do need to sit down with your best friend/roommate and talk about your approach beforehand and set some boundaries if things escalate. you can nicely explain this and anyone who respects you and your choices will not cause a scene over you doing whats best. i have plenty of friends that have lived in and out of being roommates but its all mutual that we can live where, whenever and respect that we're all still a group of best friends. ya know?
