to me laios is a “guy who has to be a guy because society expects that of him and he thinks he has no other choice” and he doesn’t know people can be trans as adults(he’d think it’s something you already realize as a child) so i rly like hc of him discovering his gender post-canon.

It might be ill-advised to post such a spicy take, but I think it's a little "funny" that "sapphic" is now like the more open term preferred over "f/f" or "lesbian" even though sapphic and lesbian have the same core root (Sappho, who lived on the island of Lesbos)

Spicier still, I do not like "achillean" popping up as an equivalent of "sapphic" at all. Sappho is the perfect person from whom to extract these general terms from, because she was real but we also know very little about her, so we're free to imagine her island of queer ladies however suits us. Achilles, by contrast, is part of a very specific tragic story and had a very specific relationship dynamic with Patrocles. It feels weird to see a random mlm story described as "achillean" despite the story having nothing in common with Achilles at all except that it includes queer men. It also feels like bad energy, tbh, to tie every mlm romance book to a story of doomed men and tragic death
