🌟Ideas Dumping🌟
I always seen hurt/comfort fanfics where the character caused pain (emotionally) to the reader and still get a happy ending just bc the character confessed to the reader, I never understand that. I want to see the reader stands their grounds and be like
“So you think by confessing to me everything will be all happily lovey dovey? You caused me pain and embarrassment and then, you had the nerve to stand in front me and act nothing’s wrong? You don’t deserve my time & affection, if you were truly love me you wouldn’t make me go through all that suffering and humiliation! You’ve already lost me before you had a chance to be with me. You don’t deserve me.”

One of the cruelest things I think Bowser would do is give Mario an ultimatum, a very cruel one. So your Mute Mario, making him chose between Luigi and his daughter.
Ooooh I really love angsty scenarios where someone is forced to choose between loved ones!
For Mario, he would pretty much instantly delude himself into believing he could save them both. He has to save them both. There’s literally no other option in his mind, because he can’t bear the thought of losing one of them.
But for Luigi, there would be no choice. Mario has to save his daughter. He does everything he can to get that point across to Mario, and if he has the option he’s making eye contact with Mario from across the room to convey that to him. He wouldn't even have to say it or sign it. Mario would see the look in his eyes understand automatically that Luigi would never forgive him if he let his daughter die instead.
It would break his heart, but he'd still promise to save Luigi, signing it from across the room as he finally looks away and sprints towards his daughter. It's probably the last thing they ever communicate to each other.

Is it okay to ask a spoiler? (kinda, like, it's probably just for me I'm at the beginning of your fic and I'm anxious as fck 😂😂)
I'm reading LIAB (chapter Going the Distance), and loving every word of it! I'm considering it as a real book instead of fanfiction, because you're a really skilled author and I can't wait to read the whole series and become an unbearable fan annoying you!! 😜❤️🙏🏼
Anyway, while reading I can't help but wonder: during the series are we gonna see Zuko and Iroh together again? I can't stop thinking about how Zuko misses his uncle (for context, Chang just was left behind for me, so I'm a little emotional about that yet!!!) and I can't stop thinking if we get to see Iroh unleashing all his angry at Zhao once he finds out what happened to Zuko and how our boy suffered...
(Another question completely different: is there any scene in the story you would love to see draw? I actually got to know your fic because of the lovely fanarts hahah, and now I was thinking about drawing something that I read but can't decide which scene 😭😭)
HELLLOOOOO!! I had to look at the chapters to figure out which one was Going the Distance & then I realized you really are in the very beginning of the fic series haha! Well…. WELCOME! (&your anxiousness is super valid it’s a super anxious fic I’m even anxious just thinking about you being anxious lol)
AWWWWW I HOPE YOU LIKE THE ENTIRE SERIES!!! it gets a little wild in some places & super duper dark so I just like to always warn lol. heed the tags lol.
OK AYYYY so as for the spoilers: Iroh & Zuko will absolutely be reunited & it’s going to be a mess. So much will happen between where you’re at in the fic & where you’re going, that it’s hard to even explain without spoiling the entire fic! Which I will do if you want just let me know haha.
but Iroh will be part of the story and I think you get an update on him towards the end of the first book & then you’ll hear about him in RIA & then they’ll be reunited in ITF. They have a long & painful journey ahead of them I’m sorry… you have quite a bit of angst to get through.
& I can promise you Iroh is going to be very very PISSED. I love me some slightly feral Iroh, especially when it comes to his nephew.
(omg omgomgomgommgggg fanart is like a proposal to me and I swear I’m rolling on the ground happily just thinking about it. But idk what scene I’d pick I really like people who create the fanart to pick because I like to see what they choose! Also you have a long way to go so maybe something will interest you?? I’m super excited either way!)
thanks for the ask I hope you enjoy reading!!

the last unicorn post from earlier has me thinking about the master. that yana is still in there, you know? is still someone he was, if even for a brief flash across the life of a time lord. there’s no way to unlive that life. there are ways to twist it later, sure, to make utopia into hell on earth. but the life was lived. in much the same way that the doctor can remember, can feel, the love he held onto as john smith even as that life is ripped out of his hands. the doctor choose denial and then grief and then to shutter it all away. and so john smith died, and so professor yana died, and the doctor and the master live on. the doctor has done this before, and he lives in orbit around humanity, trying to keep the best parts of them and hold them deep enough to take root (which he can pretend he gets to choose, as a time lord. as a human, it all floods in and can’t be dug back out.) but what about the master, right?
to borrow a turn of phrase: i think there are two time lords left in the universe, and they both learned how to regret.

Let’s talk about head canon etiquette
Head canons are one of fandom’s gifts. They give a picture of the characters, give some insight into your favorite writer’s ideas on a ship, they’re great, they’re fun. However-
Someone putting a head canon on their blog is not an open invitation to take that idea and write a fic with it.
“But I love this idea, it inspires me!” you might say. Well that’s great! Here’s something you can do:
1. Ask the original poster if it’s okay to use their idea! Most people won’t bite and they’ll be thrilled you asked. But if they say no? You have to accept that answer.
2. Put your own original spin on the idea and make it unique to you
Say someone posted a head canon along the lines of “A & B love baking cakes together, every Friday night they bake a red velvet cake and eat it while watching horror movies”. You love this idea. You love them baking, you love the hijinks they could get up to with flour and eggs, you love the cuddling afterward. So cute!
If, without permission, you write a fic where A & B, on a stormy Friday night, make a red velvet cake and watch scream then you’re just lifting their idea word for word. It’s basically plagiarism.
However! If you write a fic where A & B make muffins on some other day and eat them in the park, cuddled up and people watching? Great! Its essence is the same- baking, cuddling- but the details are *yours* and that’s what counts.
Fic writers have tons of fun head canons they’d love to share. But sometimes they want to eventually write those ideas into their own fics.
Respect that. Don’t just take a head canon straight off a post and tag the author in a fic like you’ve done them a favor expanding their idea out. You’ve made them feel awkward by putting their idea into a work that is not theirs, and then put them on the spot by tagging them in it as if they should thank you.
And worst of all, chances are you just stole something they were thinking about using and now not only will they not write that fic but they won’t share their head canons anymore either.
Be polite. Be respectful. Ask first before you use someone’s detailed idea that was not tagged as a prompt anyone can just use.

i think the witcher makes me feel a profound sadness every night because it’s about all the things we love so much, or that we wish we had, but can never get back. the tragedy of the uncontrollable. the pain of loss.
ciri, despite her youth and innocence, loses her home and family and then she even her adoptive parents, and then she even loses her youth and her innocence, and is left with nothing but a grotesque scar symbolizing her trauma that doesn’t fit her childlike face and a hardened, green glare. and a sword, which is only a burden.
her parents, despite their incredible love for her, despite all of their agony and sacrifice to get her back, despite their own loss of their honor, their pride, their blood — they lose her too. they lose a child, the most tragic loss of all.
dandelion loses his best friend, clutching at his memories like the weeds growing by loch eskalott, trying to grasp the last twenty years to write his memoires.
milva hears her father’s words when she shoots, and his wheezing echoes in her mind.
regis lost himself, his entire life, all the people he ever loved and chased away.
cahir, despite his large family that loves him more than imperial orders, can never return to darn dyffrya, feel the sun on his face in vicovaro ever again.
angoulême wonders if her mother would have loved her had she not abandoned her, imagines what her hand patting her head in praise could have felt like.
and then geralt loses them. all of them, one by one.
and nimue, reading about it all, can never meet the figures of the legend she has obsessed over for years and years… she has her part to play in it, she can know their voices from dialogues and know their faces from etchings, but will never be able to tell them she loves them, tell them how much they mean to her.
even when they find what they’re searching for, even when they find what they’ve desired so — it’s only for a bittersweet moment. they shortly lose it again. everyone in this series is so intertwined together and caught in the same snare of destiny, and at the very same time so very alone and abandoned
