Honestly Mace would have loved Luke and Leia with his whole heart.
yes!!! honestly he's like a grandparent (in the dynamic way, not age way) bc he was harsh on anakin but you KNOW he's much more caring for the twins, like how a grandparent is strict on their kid but gives their grandkid literally whatever. and anakin's like where was this for me

Do you have any Star Wars fanfic recommendations, or have a link to someone else's list? I really wanna veg out.
oh my god, DO I. this may have been the best ask in the world. i’m not really sure what u want a feel for, so i threw together some of my favorite longfics for maximum veg time from the ot/pt and links for swr and swtcw recs. they’re pretty much all luke-anakin/vader centric, since that’s kinda my bread and butter.
let’s start with frodogenic, who wrote the first longfic i ever read in sw and might be one of the funniest authors ever. they once reviewed my fanfic & i nearly cried from joy. anyway.
The Father, 284k+, complete. “Ten years after ROTS, tormenting nightmares of his unborn child drive Darth Vader to extraordinary measures with unexpectedly drastic consequences. Clearly, experience has taught Darth Vader nothing...”
this is my og star wars fic and boy oh boy is it amazing. i will never get over this. i don’t want to spoil anything but when i say the final chapters are great? i mean they’re legendary. sometimes i still think about them & wish upon a star that i could be such a great writer. vader’s amazing, han is spectacular, and the ocs are fantastic.
Far More Than Rubies, 70k+, complete. “Nine years after AOTC, tragedy revisits the Lars Homestead. Little Luke Skywalker is suddenly plunged into chaos as the rebel movements discover a secret military project that may make a crucial difference in the war with the Empire.”
the spiritual twin of The Father, FMTR takes a look at padmé’s character and relationship with both luke and anakin/vader that’s hard to beat. it’s darker and heavier than The Father, but it hits those same sweet, sweet emotional beats while raising the age-old question: if padmé had lived, what would she have done?
The Family Tree, 12k, complete. “In which Luke Skywalker is stranded in a tree waiting for a flash flood to recede. Too bad he's got company...”
okay, i admit, this isn’t a longfic, but it is a longshot, and it’s amazing. the imagery and description always blow me away, and the interaction (canon-compliant) between luke and vader just [chef’s kiss] get me. vader’s in full, glorious form, and it makes it all the harder when luke wrestles with the knowledge that vader is his father.
Sibling Revelry, 25k, complete. “After Bespin and before Endor, Darth Vader is shocked to discover that Luke and Leia are twins. He's even more shocked when Imperial Intelligence reports that Organa and Skywalker are, erm, a tad closer than previously suspected.”
this is complete crack and humor in the best way possible. it’s crack treated entirely seriously, and you will be in stitches, i promise. no matter how many times i’ve read this i break down.
KittandChips (@kittandchips) writes what i can only describe as food for the soul. the luke-vader interaction is insanely amazing, the world building of daily imperial life and imperial governance is amazing, and vader just has a special je ne sais quoi that u must read to understand––tragic, funny, and so, so fatherly. they’re currently rewriting the Force Bond Series to fit in with newer canon, so i will joyously binge reread the entire again (including the new Force Bond: Mustafar Weekend).
Force Bond 1: Orphan, 47k, complete. “After Owen and Beru are killed by a mysterious stranger, young Luke ends up as an orphan on Coruscant. It's a race against time as Obi-Wan struggles to find Luke before Vader realizes the boy is his son.”
Orphan kicks off the series, which tracks vader and luke’s relationship through the perils of luke’s teenagerhood while growing up under the eye of the emperor and imperial court. it’s filled with slow growth, struggle and misunderstandings as darth vader tries to single parent, and pay off in every installment. the entire series clocks in around 777k+ and is the most joyful, fulfilling reading you’ll ever have. promise.
darth-nickels (@darth--nickels) writes darker, twistier, and terribly, terribly heartwrenching aus. they’ve got a whole host, but let me introduce to my two favorites. also, check out their faux-academia on vader. it’s amazing and i love it, but i admit i am an academia hoe.
Dooku Captured, Pt 2, 16k, complete. “Dooku is taken alive onboard the Invisible Hand, and Sidious' web is torn. The Sith Lord wonders if death might have been preferable to clumsy interrogation by Anakin Skywalker.”
Dooku Captured is a longshot au told from Dooku’s pov which takes the beginning of ROTS and throws it on its head. it’s a fascinating outside perspective of anakin and obi-wan’s relationship and such and interesting examination of dooku’s psyche and especially his complex relationship with the jedi order, qui-gon, yoda, and palpatine. i cannot rec this one enough.
Black Mirror, 90k, incomplete. “The Ghost crew returns to the Lothal when they hear the Empire is investigating the Jedi Temple there. They learn Vader is alone and decide to take him out-- but what they find could change the course of Galactic history.”
Black Mirror diverges into swr territory, but make no mistake: this is entirely an examination of vader and, later, obi-wan as well as ahsoka. luke makes his appearance later in the game, and boy oh boy will you love luke’s portrayal is a microcosm of luke and vader’s relationship within canon. heed the tags, though.
jerseydevious ( @jerseydevious ) is, first and foremost, one of my favorite people on earth. secondly, though, she’s an amazing writer with a deep understanding of vader’s character and psyche, a flair for beautiful depictions, and the true ability to wring every emotion out of your body.
Two and a Half Men (with a baby), 13k, incomplete. “After a long day of bargaining with Hutts and attempting to ignore his past, Darth Vader is nearing the end of his rope. When he discovers his two-year-old son, it's the straw that breaks the semi-rational Sith Lord's back; in a rash act worthy of the Skywalker name, he scoops his son into his arms, steals a shuttle from his own fleet, and punches in random hyperspace coordinates to a destination on the other side of the galaxy. Unfortunately, father and son are not the only ones on the ship.”
Two and a Half Men will stick with you, dude. like no other. i promise. it’s a whirlwind ride with obi-wan, vader, and piett and as funny as it is heartbreaking. it touches on some heavy issues and doesn’t shy away from looking at the damage done to vader––again, heed the tags.
Helioseismology, 4k, complete. “Luke gets shot down on a supply run and caught in an ice storm. It's extremely lucky that his father followed him there.“
i’ll admit. im completely biased about this one because it was a birthday gift to me and i am sucker for litcherally anything when jd puts pen to paper, but believe me when i say you will be awed by the depth and tangled relationships between these luke and vader that jersey can illustrate in a stroke of the paintbrush. im love. always.
izzythehutt ( @izzythehutt ) i am blown away by the intricate dialogue and characterization, always. and the latin puns? im sold. im also a sucker for latin puns, but that’s a story for a different time.
In Loco Pirates, 34k, complete. “A down-on-his-luck Hondo Ohnaka manages to capture the unicorn of all bounties--Luke Skywalker, which sends Darth Vader, Lord of the Sith, on a painfully familiar trip to the planet Florrum to collect his prize. The failed negotiations leave Vader in the awkward position of being stuck in a besieged pirate bunker, trying to balance keeping his wayward child safe (and in his custody) with controlling the tongue of a loose-lipped pirate who--to the surprise of no one--has a bad habit of telling 'amusing' anecdotes from the Clone Wars.”
hondo, aka the best character of swtcw, is brought to life just as vividly on paper as on screen. his entire personality brings luke and vader’s difficulties in a sort of incredulous light, which makes it as funny as it is vulnerable and tragic. the sequel, Palpatine Ad Portas, brings piett into the spotlight, and oh man do his interactions with palpatine and vader bring u all the uncomfortable vibes. relish in it.
sparklight ( @littlesparklight ) man. lemme introduce u to an amazing prolific and detailed writer. i will never get over the series they’ve written & neither will u.
Where Our Intrepid Hero Doesn’t Get Away, 122k, incomplete. “One-shots surrounding either AU situations of canon/legends works where Luke would normally have gotten away (or Vader is simply inserted into the action to come pick his child up) but in these instances doesn't, or completely new scenarios of the same. There are no deep ruminations on consequences of the situations here, just our awful Sith dad picking his son up when he'd rather not be.”
exactly what it says on the tin. u know those glorious moments of fanfic where luke’s gotten captured and ur on pins and needles, waiting for vader to show up in a moment of dark glory? here’s the moment. here’s all the moments.
Space Race, 122k, incomplete. “Owen gives in to Luke's wish to attend the Imperial Academy and Obi-Wan is too late to avert it, though he's not too late to make sure Luke leaves Arkanis before Vader can gets his hands on him. Luke spends over a month running around the galaxy before his father gets him, and from there...”
this story relishes in chase and boy is it fun. it will keep you on the edge of your seat and it’s an amazing ride.
The Suns of Tatooine, 85k, complete. “Luke ends up on a moon swamped in dark side energy after a mission goes wrong, then his father appears... and then they go on a bit of a learning experience. This could've been the only thing that would come of getting through a Sith complex with his father, but thanks to going to free Han earlier than the gang did otherwise, more revelations are had. Will that change anything?”
this series is a thoughtful, contemplative piece examining the nature of the force and the relationship the skywalkers have with tatooine. the descriptions are beautiful, the inventiveness is amazing, and you’ll be thinking about it for long afterwards.
an additional few…
Between Flight and Longing; 34k, complete. “Luke Skywalker and Han Solo journey to the planet Balen'ar on a desperate mission and find more than they'd bargained for.”
a classic and it is for a reason. the interaction between han, luke, and vader is so spectacular and the slow trudge of going through the forest with your greatest enemy and best friend is something hilarious. the end is bittersweet and fantastic.
The Sith Who Brought Life Day, 13k, complete. “An Imperial officer loses a bet and has to get Darth Vader a present for Life Day.”
somewhere between terrifying and dull, this fic presents a canon-compliant look at the hunt for luke and the grinding wheels of the empire. the oc is amazing and it echoes in true star wars spirit: sometimes it’s just some dude who can change the galaxy.
Quintessence, 5k, complete. ‘“Well, Master, I think I’ve found the one positive aspect of this situation.” “Which is?” “The Temple won’t have to pay the costs for our funeral pyres.”’
pure hilarity and shenanigans abound in pre-aotc obi-wan and anakin hijink goodness. lemme tell u––u will deeply sympathize with mace windu afterwards. additionally, check out the rest of the author’s oneshots! they’re deeply thoughtful and the interactions the author writes between obi-wan and anakin are always gold.
some extras & shameless self-promotion
here’s a full list of recommendations for star wars rebels fanfic in case this is what you’re looking for (remember when this used to be a swr blog, lmao)
i’ve also written sw fanfic, both swr and luke-vader centric. drop by and tell me if it’s any good!

if you were tasked to rewrite all of anakin skywalkers backstory up until the clone wars started, how would you do it?
Well, I suppose it depends on my goals.
If I want to just make it align more with the Classic Trilogy, then we have a few parameters to go by. Before it’s revealed that Darth Vader is Luke’s father, it’s implied that Anakin was a contemporary of Obi-Wan’s in some way, perhaps both growing up on Tatooine; Vader was said to be a student of Obi-Wan’s, but not Anakin. And, moreover, Obi-Wan implies that Luke’s Uncle Owen knows Obi-Wan and spoke out against Anakin going off to save the galaxy with him. The Vader revelation retcons this, so that now Obi-Wan ‘discovered” Anakin and took him on as a student, creating a necessary age gap. It was cut from the final version of the movie, but Return Of The Jedi originally had Owen being Obi-Wan’s brother, who agreed to hide and raise Luke. This makes Obi-Wan either a liar for depicting Owen as disapproving of Anakin going off with Obi-Wan, or else Anakin was a friend of the family in some way and Obi-Wan the black sheep.
However, none of this says much about Anakin’s character. George Lucas had definite goals in crafting Anakin’s new backstory. Instead of creating a hero in the mold of Luke who was eventually overcome by a lust for power, the Anakin of the prequels is a perpetually disenfranchised figure whose needs are denied or ignored by the supposed good guys. It sets Anakin up on a fatalistic journey to villainy that some don’t like, but it also highlights the flaws of both the Republic and the Jedi in a way that results in the creation of the monster who destroys them, which is nicely poetic. So while the Anakin of the prequels doesn’t really align with everything implied by the Classic Trilogy, there’s something compelling in the character that goes beyond simple archetypes.
So I think I’d try to find a compromise- something that aligns with as many (canon) hints from the Classic Trilogy as we can, but still keeps the interesting bits of the Prequels.
First of all, I’d want to start the prequel trilogy with the start of the Clone Wars. So instead of some tax-based blockade plot, The Phantom Menace has the Jedi dealing with the aftermath of the blitz of the Separatists. Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan are doing something that involves protecting Padme and getting her to Coruscant, and it still lands them on Tatooine, and they still encounter Anakin. However, Anakin is Padme’s age. He’s still a slave in this version, but he has a brother, Owen, along with his mother. (There is no mention of a father in the story. Whether one exists or not isn’t addressed.) He bonds with Padme and Obi-Wan, and they wind up becoming an adventure trio; Obi-Wan is the older Mom Friend, Padme and Anakin are the troublemakers who wind up saving the day with their chaos. Over the course of the Tatooine adventure, Anakin and family are freed, but he chooses to go offworld to help Padme and the Jedi complete their mission. He promises his brother Owen that he’ll return once the matter is resolved. Owen is skeptical, but takes their mother to find a new life out of slavery.
Obi-Wan brings Anakin to Qui-Gon’s attention, thinking that he should be trained as a Jedi, especially with so many Jedi having recently died in the Separatist Blitz. Qui-Gon is convinced but opts to take Anakin as his own apprentice. Obi-Wan had wanted to be the one to train Anakin, thanks to their previous effective partnership, but relents. By the end of the movie, though, Qui-Gon ends up dead, and Obi-Wan goes ahead and steps forward to train Anakin. Anakin has seen the scope of the Clone Wars at this point and how much the galaxy is suffering, and is inspired by Padme to a life of service. He’s given the offer to join the Jedi, but he learns that he’ll never be able to fall in love or have a family, that Jedi forsake attachments. He’s torn, especially since it means being parted from Padme and never going back to his family, but eventually decides to go for it.
The second movie takes place several years into the war. Anakin has been trained, and despite his super-late start, he’s one of the best Jedi warriors around. He’s powerful and charismatic and clever, a true Hero. This movie shows the friendship between Anakin and Obi-Wan, and also has the reunion between Anakin and Padme. We get another adventure with the three of them being a battle trio. During the adventure, Anakin gets a vision of his mother dying. The trio detour to Tatooine, meet up again with Owen, find out about his mother’s kidnapping, etc. Owen blames Anakin for not being there for them. The adventure trio goes to rescue Shmi, but she dies when they find her. At this point, Anakin purposefully flubs the stealth rescue mission so that the Tusken Raiders attack and he has an excuse to do battle and kill. There’s no slaughter of women and children here, but Obi-Wan picks up on the fact that Anakin brought the fight about in order to get violent revenge. He doesn’t confront Anakin about it, but at a later point they meet up with some big-time Jedi, and the Masters detect the taint of the darkness on Anakin and give him some kind of punishment that he resents. Padme is never aware of what Anakin did, and at the end of the movie, she and Anakin have a secret marriage.
The Clone Wars cartoon can happen here, without much change in tone.
The third movie is the end of the Clone Wars and the rise of the Empire. Anakin is a great hero amongst the newer Jedi, but the classic Jedi see him as too violent and reckless. Obi-Wan is stuck in the middle, seeing the good in Anakin but also the danger. Palpatine plays off the two Jedi factions against each other, making them each think that the other faction has come under the thrall of the Sith. As the Clone Wars wind down, the Jedi wind up in conflict, and Anakin has a vision (like his mother) of Padme being struck down by a lightsaber. Palpatine seduces Anakin to the dark side by convincing him to start taking down the old-school Jedi in secret. Palpatine uses this to help sell the idea of unstable Jedi, a Jedi takeover of the government, etc, and issues Order 66. Obi-Wan and Yoda survive. Anakin sees what happens, realizes how he’s been tricked, and confronts Palpatine. Palpatine defeats Anakin, but offers him both mercy and a chance to save Padme. This should replicate a lot of the dynamics of Revenge Of The Sith, but not as rushed.
Palpatine reveals that Obi-Wan and Yoda are both out there, and that prophecy cannot be averted, but that with the power of Plagueis, he can save Padme, etc. Stuff happens, Anakin and Padme and Obi-Wan wind up on Mustafar together. There’s a confrontation, Padme sees how dark Anakin has gone, and flees him. In anger, he strikes at Padme with his lightsaber. Obi-Wan defends her, they fight, Anakin gets burned, yadda yadda. Obi-Wan leaves with Padme. Palpatine arrives to save Anakin, both of them thinking that Padme is dead. Padme cannot fully recover from the lightsaber blow, but she manages to deliver her secret twin children. She cannot raise them. She gives Leia to her friend Bail Organa, and Luke to Obi-Wan, to raise in safety. Padme herself knows that her health is limited, that she won’t survive for more than a few years even with advanced medical care, so she goes with Bail Organa to at least help raise her daughter while she can.
I’m not sure I’m fully satisfied with this whole thing, but those are the basic ideas I bat around whenever I consider my ideal version of the prequels.

Prediction #4 - Ben Solo and Rey are (and always have been) End Game
From the beginning, TFA, JJ likens Kylo to a handsome prince in the director’s commentary, and later refers to Rey as Cinderella descending the stairs to find the saber. A prince and a princess. Rey and Ren. (I talk about this here.) This is called a bridal carry and it is their first meeting.
Tumblr media
You can catch Predictions #2 & #3 for some of my references here if you want:   https://southernbeastsnorthernbound.tumblr.com/post/182278658793/prediction-2-rey-is-still-a-kenobi    https://southernbeastsnorthernbound.tumblr.com/post/182326914733/3-gray
Anyway, Ben and Rey. Their relationship, whatever form it takes, is the point of this Trilogy.
First it was Anakin and Obi-Wan, and Anakin and Padme, then it was Luke and Darth Vader, and now it is Rey and Ben. What do the previous conflicts have in common? There’s a relationship between these characters, mostly familial, as there will be in the next episode. Their drama is not over, in fact, it has just begun.
Tumblr media
Rey and Ren are yin and yang.
Tumblr media
Push and pull. Light and dark.
Tumblr media
If you ever wondered why they made a point of Rey’s “going straight to the dark” despite her being a literal ray of goodness in TLJ, it is to mirror Ben’s “pull to the light” in TFA. They both posses an inherent pull to each other’s side, and this will enable them to find a middle ground-- together. Gray. It’s called foreshadowing.
Tumblr media
My best guess is that, like in the force bond scenes of TLJ, their relationship will feel romantic in nature if not said outright. This is important because it is my belief that the deciding factor that pulls the sides together is that *deep breath* children will be involved. Not symbolic ones. Real, squealing infants. I originally thought all the sexual imagery of TLJ was to symbolize the “rebirth” of the Resistance. But I now believe that to be a red herring of sorts. It is all pointing to “Creation.”
Tumblr media
^”The Creation of Adam” in the Sistine Chapel, the most famous, historical illustration of biblical creation we have. Original Creation. Divine Creation.
Anakin, the bringer of war and imbalance, was born of immaculate conception. Like Mary and Jesus.
Tumblr media
To come full circle, the bringer of peace and balance, should be born of immaculate conception as well.
How? Well, Ben IS Anakin’s grandson. And genes often skip a generation, including the probability of twins.
Tumblr media
I think that’s why ^this^ moment is filmed the way it is: incredibly important, the way the two main characters treat this shared experience like it’s something life-changing and sacred,
Tumblr media
the way it feels like a sex scene despite it being a fucking handshake. It is why Rey ships herself to what seems like certain death. It is why Kylo kills the only person he’s ever had a real connection with. It is why Kylo makes his own kind of “proposal” to rule the galaxy with her. He is playing house. They are about to have a Force-made family, and their is an instinctual part of them that already knows it.
Tumblr media
His speech is even comically similar to the one his grandfather made to the grandmother-to-be.
Tumblr media
It is why the scene following the “consummation” of the #fingertouch is Kylo’s commitment to killing his master, a father figure, to take his place as head of a metaphorical house. A marriage of violence before Snoke with the Guards as witnesses,
Tumblr media
a honeymoon of working as a unit for the first time (facing the Praetorian guards) notice the very specific choreography (these stunts are rigorously planned) of Rey’s groin/hip grab, giving all kinds of sexual connotations (not to mention the above gif w/ Rey kneeling, just look at the entirety of that scene again which nears a rape scene “Give me everything” w/ Rey on her back)
Tumblr media
followed by a battle scene that includes all the phallic and vaginal imagery of Crait, a womb-like mine being torn open, the red, blood-like gashes of the sand and salt thats spills out, leading out to a fiery dawn, and Luke the original immaculate son’s son.
Tumblr media
Not to mention, they equally, two halves of the same whole, split Anakin’s lightsaber.  Like this--
Tumblr media
The first step of making a baby: a zygote splits. In the film, literally everything parallels them splitting the saber together. (We should make that an innuendo, “hey baby wanna split the ol’ saber?”) Holdo goes to hyperspace, Finn and Rose are about to be separated from their heads, and everything pauses and goes silent as EVERYTHING splits in half at once.
Tumblr media
Rey and Kylo Ren will have kids, possibly twins.
Another theme returning. The twin suns of Tatooine. The twins of Luke and Leia. The duality of the Force. Luke even sees two suns again as he dies, a smile: the future.
I originally was like WHY IS LUKE SMILING AT THE SUN AND WHY DID NO ONE ON THE VFX TEAM RETOUCH THAT SPOT OUT OF THE FIRST SUN.
And then,
Tumblr media
I’m reaching. Anyway.
How would Rey get pregnant? I’m by no means some romantic that thinks “Reylo” could ever happen in a traditional sense. But well. It ends as it began. With immaculate conception. The force made it possible before. And it will do it again. The force WANTS balance. And it wanted Kylo and Rey to find each other for this purpose. It is why the Force Bond continues at the end of TLJ despite Snoke being dead. For this “Peace and Purpose.” For this joining of “great dark and great light.” Divine conception communicated via film in the most universally understood image of it.
Tumblr media
^ Notice anything familiar? ^ #fingertouch
Tumblr media
Artists makes these references on purpose. See “allusion.”
And Rey doesn’t walk away from her choice to briefly side with Ben unscathed, remember? She gets stabbed, and the cinematographer makes a point to frame the drama of it carefully.
Tumblr media
We see it.
Tumblr media
Ben sees it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It fuels him to fight harder.
Tumblr media
As it does her. (You can already see what it will look like here. The wound is a very specific shape on her arm)
Tumblr media
And then later it looks like this in her skin. And is shown this way even in the poster on my wall.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It’s a depiction of two damn hands.
Tumblr media
Her body has been changed by this experience on this surface level, symbolizing the two hands touching, to hint that perhaps she is leaving with a bigger change within that we cannot yet see.
For anyone fighting the concept of a romantic/sexual/familial relationship, albeit an unconventional one, between Rey and Ren, here are some proverbial nails for your proverbial coffins.
Tumblr media
-The fact that (confirmed in concept art) this reflection originally revealed a half and half face of Kylo and Rey.
Tumblr media
More important, if this was a possibility, as it stands, two shadows become one when she asks to see “her parents.”
Tumblr media
Two parents, become one, to create this would-be Rey/Ren half and half that Rey later admits was her looking for “answers.” She thinks these are non-answers about her past, her being a nobody. What if this reveal was instead the future? A lot to unpack as, in its final form in TLJ, it is just Rey looking at her own reflection. But the context is there when we see what could’ve been and almost was.
Tumblr media
-The incredible inclusion of Ben SWOLO and Rey blushing like a school girl, muttering about cowls, as she gazes at her sworn enemy.
Tumblr media
-These looks and Rey making lover-like pleas in an elevator
Tumblr media
-When Kylo went from this snide predator
Tumblr media
-to this consent-craving cinnamon roll.
Tumblr media
-When Kylo, from the beginning, tried to attach himself to Rey’s future.
Tumblr media
Hey Ben, your Disney is showing.
Tumblr media
-When Rey, like a protector, faces Luke when she suspects he tried to murder Ben Solo and doomed the goodness in him to be snuffed out, creating Kylo Ren
Tumblr media Tumblr media
-Just the entirety of this painful exchange:
Tumblr media
And Rey’s sincere want to believe in Ben Solo’s goodness.
Tumblr media
This nothing short of THIRSTY expression that follows their victory. (Watch this scene again seeing Kylo’s expression as desire and honestly its a little frightening, Rey kinda looks at him knowingly for a hot sec then turns and scurries away about saving the fleet)
Tumblr media
He even stands up and dramatically tosses the staff aside, as if setting up that end-of-action-movie-warrior-couple-runs-into-each-others-arms moment
Tumblr media
I could do a whole essay on the neat ways the storytellers try to match these two up with subtle and not-so-subtle threads, so I’ll stop here.
Anyway, this is another reason I think Rey is a Kenobi. If Disney were to make her a “nobody” destined to birth Skywalker babies like nothing more than a reproductive vessel, it would be an insult to the heroine she is. At least if she’s a Kenobi, she has her own line to continue and protect. Also, let’s tie up them old themes of the Kenobi/Skywalker legacy and heal those wounds with a baby or two.
Tumblr media
In the end, the Star Wars Saga has always been about FAMILY. With Han and Luke dead and Carrie Fischer unable to return to the narrative in a meaningful way, there is no “family” left to follow the drama of, to close the loop. Not unless we continue one with the characters that already exist and whom we’re already attached to. Enter Rey and Ben and some rugrats.
Tumblr media
Don’t mind us, it’s just two mothers,
with the zygote sword and her hand practically resting on her belly saying “We have everything we need.” The last line of the movie. Bye.
Tumblr media
(don’t get me started on what this damn awkward (seemingly purposeful since they hold so long and its such a flat choice) shot composition looks like)
Tumblr media
Daisy and Carrie make up that triangle shape of Christ, because between them, in Rey’s womb, is an immaculate bun in the oven. I’m done.
Stick around if you wanna hear more about Kylo Ren in prediction #5-- “What happens to Ben Solo in Episode IX″

✦ Luminous being by stonefreeak, obi-wan, 1k     Ever since he first drew breath, the Force has been with Obi-Wan Kenobi.    This is a lovely, sort of ethereal piece, that's about Obi-Wan and the Force, so there's this sort of hazy quality to it that really works for space wizard woo-woo stuff. It's beautifully written, there's just something kind of spiritual or bright about it, with some really lovely imagery and makes me fall in love with Obi-Wan Kenobi all over again. ✦ Drive It Like You Stole It by victoria_p (musesfool), han/leia, 1.2k     Sometimes she feels like she's nothing but wanting, and these stolen hours with Han are the only thing that satisfy her.    This was a lovely look at Leia's character, that's sort of about the sex scene (which had a really lovely style to it as well! it was just pretty to read) and sort of about her relationship with Han and all around a piece about who Leia Organa is. She's complicated and messy and I love her, which this fic really hit on nicely. ✦ Squad Goals by igrockspock, leia & poe & rey & rose & finn & connix, 11k     The surviving members of the Resistance decide the best way to help Leia is to take her on a recruiting mission to Rose's home world.    This is the post-TLJ fic I didn't know I needed until I read it and it was just exactly what I wanted! It's half character-driven piece and half sort of plot-based fic, where the Resistance is picking itself back up, there's all these great little character moments, and it does some nice background worldbuliding bits and pieces. I love that it's not just about Poe (though, he's definitely a central character and he's great here, this is the Poe-needs-something-to-do fic I've been craving, too), that there's these really great moments with Leia and Rey, where Rey wants to know more about the Force and Leia's complicated relationship with it (especially after Luke's death) is difficult, and it just hit all the right notes. And then there's Poe and Leia's relationship, which is perfect for how they don't bullshit each other, but there's such care and affection there. And then Connix gets some very nice life breathed into her! And Rose and Finn and Rey get these really lovely moments! Basically, it's just a really solid, super engaing, super fun post-TLJ read that I enjoyed a ton. ✦ One Last Goodbye by glompcat, obi-wan & anakin & ahsoka, ~1k     A missing moment between Ahsoka and everyone's favorite Force Ghosts during the finale.    This was a lovely piece set during the Rebels epilogue, with Ahsoka having a moment with Obi-Wan and Anakin as Force Spirits, getting a bit of closure with them and it works so well. It's not long, but it's exactly what was needed and fits perfectly in with the story and gave me all the feelings it set out to do. Lovely and just the right amounts of bittersweet and good. ✦ Equinox by lilyconrad, obi-wan/anakin, NSFW, sith!obi-wan, some d/s, 76.8k wip     During the Clone Wars, Obi-Wan and Anakin crash on a remote planet and take shelter in the ruins of a grand estate only to find they are not alone.     Chapter 16: This is an update rec and will focus on this chapter, rather than the fic as a whole. This was an important chapter, because it was an emotional culmination in things that had been building, both since the beginning of the fic and in the latest chapters again--Obi-Wan and Anakin are about to be separated and there's a whole lot that's been stirred up in Anakin because of this. Some of it is just regular separation anxiety, now that they're in a relationship (but one that's so new and untested in Anakin's mind), being apart lends to his fears about what's going to happen, how he'll cope, if they'll come back to this when they see each other again, worry about what the Sith versions of them will get up to, all wrapped up in seeing his "twin" be so much more settled about it and that just digs under Anakin's skin, the way it has since the very first scene they showed up in. This is why Anakin staring at the ring of bruises Isten wears with pride is so telling--because, as much as he struggles against the idea, something in Anakin is still pulled towards that, pulled towards why the separation doesn't bother Isten in the same way, when it should . This is why the tone of voice Obi-Wan uses when Anakin spins out of control is important, because it's tied into the things underneath what they've said, the things that the Sith versions are echoes of, that it's not coming from nowhere, that while they're not the same people, the Sith versions are something born from what the originals want.     And I love all of it! I love that Anakin's anxiety is not so easily solved, that Obi-Wan doesn't enjoy this, but neither does he despair of it, because he's sort of used to Anakin's outbursts by now, because he cares so deeply about Anakin that he feels it with him every time. I loved that I could feel it building and building in Anakin, even with all the reassurances, because he really is like a bucket with a hole in the bottom--you can fill him up with love and reassurance, but it still drains out of him anyway. And I love that it's set off by the teeth-grindingly annoying (to him) same argument that Veris and Obi-Wan keep having, like, yes, I can just see Anakin being set off by something like that, because it's aggravating to him, because it shows that Obi-Wan's so invested in something that doesn't matter when Anakin himself is spinning out of control (never mind that different people handle things in different ways) and watching Isten seemingly not be so bothered by all of this, that Anakin's jealousy and anxiety and frustration and fear all just boil over the top in the way you can see coming a mile off, but totally get why no one else does, it really was beautifully done. And I love so much that it's been over 75k of story, that they've had plenty of time to be in this relationship, and yet it's still something to work on, Anakin's still working through these things, because they do take time, and it feels very natural and organic to the way he would keep exploding.     And, of course, I continue to love the structure, that there's a very deliberate reflection/inversion between these chraacters. It's highlighted with the bondage elements, that Isten enjoys it because it quiets his mind, that Anakin gravitates towards it because he desperately wants the same even when he has no idea how to admit to it until he has to drag it out of himself, but it's also in the little details, the way Anakin and Isten both curl into Obi-Wan or Veris, that they are so bright and brilliant and strong in the Force, that they're headstrong and stubborn and you don't want anyone else in a fight next to you, because they are powerful warriors, but there's something so vulnerable underneath that in both of them. They both storm off when upset. They both have trouble handling separation. They both have too much anxiety and noise in their head. Even the things they are the opposite in only further evidence it--the way Isten is comfortable with Veris in the depths of him versus the way Anakin slams his mind shut so Obi-Wan won't see the depths of him. The way Isten lets Veris see his naked mechanical hand, but Anakin still hides it, even when they're naked and wound together. This all further shows us what Anakin (and Obi-Wan) wants but can't admit yet, and that's why the bruises that Anakin sees are the culmination of it, why he wants Obi-Wan to do that. There's always been a pull that's inherent in him, but it's been catalyzed by seeing what Veris and Isten have.      Of course, I also love the other details put into the story--the intensity of the final scene of this chapter with Obi-Wan and Anakin was incredible , it was off the charts and they didn't even so much as kiss, they just barely touched each other and promised more later that night! Not even any dirty talk! Or lines like, he briefly marveled at the depth of his own love for Anakin, a love so strong it could live on in the heart of a man formed wholly from the dark illustrating just how much Obi-Wan loves him and how it shows that, while Veris may be abrasive to them, there's still Obi-Wan in there. And there's still the mystery of Ugly and whatever happened to the original owner THAT I HAVE NO IDEA ON, but will probably wind up being, "Yes, I should have thought of that, it makes total sense, even as I'm surprised by it." just like everything else in this fic. Ugh, so good and I don't want to end but also I want to know the ending! I just have feelings about all of it, okay! ✦ The Devil's Own by lilyconrad, obi-wan/anakin, regency au, human au, 5.3k wip     Some whisper the Skywalker family is the devil’s own, and no tutors in the area will take on the orphaned Lord.     Chapters 1-2: I could have sworn I'd done a rec for the first chapter of this fic already, but I can't find it, so I'm going to double them up for once! And, oh, I love this one already, the first chapter was a banger of an opener, there's such a sharpness to the way they interacted, that Lily is so good at writing something I can see coming from a mile off, but not the how of it, that I'm still surprised by the details and impact of it--and especially Ben's reaction to how he dealt with Anakin's introduction here. It's a sharp, clever twist of words, as well as the whole entire chapter hits this really great iddy place for me, where Anakin Skywalker is such an absolute, utter brat that it's delicious to contrast him against the more reserved, in control Ben. It hits that place in me that wants some dirty things, but also is content with just exactly how it's unfolding here, that it's not necessarily about sexy times, but just about the push-and-pull of these two characters. Which continues on into the second chapter as well, with Anakin continuing to be such a little shit, much to Ben's patience that we will see just how long it lasts (which is part of the fun).     I love that it's an AU setting, but the characters fit it so well (the use of C-3PO and R2-D2 were really great, I loved those little details) and the backgrounds and really rich, almost decadent setting I can so easily imagine for the story, all of that's great. But the writing still gets that I'm here for these characters and their relationship, the echoes of who they are in canon as put to this universe, so it's like, well, of course Ben would still be his teacher and Anakin would be way too cocky and probably vulnerable underneath that, of course sparks would fly, in that way that they aggravate each other, but that there's a chemistry there, a pull that can't be denied. I love this fic a lot already and I'm delighted to see where it goes! ✦ Never, Not Once by victoria_p (musesfool), obi-wan/anakin, ~1k     The one person Obi-Wan's never been able to lie to successfully is himself.     This is a beautiful, aching piece about the something there between these two and so often it's easy to focus on Anakin's feelings on these things because his feelings are so very, very loud, but this one really hit me in the feelings place for Obi-Wan, that he's doing what he truly believes is best, for both himself and for Anakin, for their greater purpose he's making this choice, but it's not like it's easy on him or that he does it without care. It's a quiet moment when he deniees his feelings to Anakin (but not to himself, because Obi-Wan does know himself and his obfuscation is a considered one), so that even when I personally want to yell about it, I get why he does, and so it's a beautifully bittersweet piece. ✦ Open Circle by Calyss, obi-wan/anakin & cast, sith!obi-wan, 52.3k wip     Finding one single person in an entire galaxy? Harder than finding a pin in a haystack, but not impossible. Bringing back a fallen Jedi to the Light? Anakin doesn't have much hope to succeed but he will do it, or die trying. Because Obi-Wan fell for him.     Chapters 1-16: I know this fic has updated since I caught up on it/am writing this rec, so I'm basing it on these chapters, rather than the entire fic! But it was over 50k at the time and I really got sucked into it, it's just a lot of fun! What helped is that the Jedi hate is milder than I expected so I didn't have to bail on it and it just whole-heartedly embraces the Soft Sith dynamic that I love so much and is popular with Obi-Wan for a reason, as well as there's a plot running around through the fic! For those that are like me, there is some Jedi hate going on with the fic, but it's (at least as far as I've read in these chapters?) mostly contained to one scene and it's set from Anakin's point of view, so I can roll with it, especially when I get some really lovely slow burn fic and mutual pining and long-distance Force bonds between Obi-Wan and Anakin, that creeping ever more towards the two of them just being totally wrapped up in each other, because that is absolutely the stuff that sends a thrill through me when reading it in the right author's hands.     And one of the best things about the fic is how much it focuses on these characters, their feelings and what Obi-Wan is doing in the rest of the galaxy, that there's plotful stuff like him meeting with Senator Amidala and there's almost an assassination attempt, that Dooku is involved while Obi-Wan uses him to gain knowledge, and it's just really engaging and fun to read all that stuff! I tore through 50k+ in a couple of days, just happy to keep reading about these two idiots in love and the long-distance Force skyping sessions, the occasional meet-ups (Anakin insisting that he can bring his Master back, getting his ass kicked and sprawled out on the floor while Sith!Obi-Wan looks him over, the brief thoughts of how much Obi-Wan wants to touch him, just not yet, the super fun bit about Obi-Wan taking over the clones with Sith magic stuff, like, yesssss, gimme all the stuff that builds these things up, that things are building towards something bigger, I love that!) and just a whole lot of pining that's all the more delicious for how I know they'll eventually meet and hopefully Obi-Wan will bang all that noise right out of Anakin's head. ✦ In Time by Ripki, obi-wan & anakin & cast, time travel, 14.3k wip     (Or the Force, frustrated and tired with all their bullshit, sends the Team to an unconventional couple’s therapy.)     Chapters 2-6: I could have sworn I'd done recs for these chapters before, but I must not have and only thought I did because I kept mentally chanting, "Wait until there's more than one chapter to write a rec, self!" mostly 'cause I just sort of want to keyboard smash about how much I'm enjoying this fic. It's just right up my alley, where Obi-Wan and Anakin are shot through time to various moments in their pasts, ones that they don't talk about but are being used to help illustrate to each other just how much they've both been through, to help them with a greater understanding. Because of this, I'm willing to roll with the non-canon stuff (despite my usual frustration with trying to marry JA stuff to TCW stuff that it's not compatible with) because it's so good and every single chapter has that OH YESSSS GIMME THE GOOD STUFF reveals that just keep happening . The author is good enough to put off the aftermath of the reveals, that there are only pieces getting shown right now before they're pulled off to yet another point in time, that I still feel excited to get to the next one and the next one and the next one, because I trust that the conversations will happen eventually. And, in the meantime, I get to enjoy things like Obi-Wan interacting with bb!Anakin or Old Ben interacting with Anakin or Anakin absolutely losing his shit because of what he's coming to understand about their future, all of it wrapped up in the time travel stuff that hits right straight on my id. I look forward to every update and yet already there's plenty of good stuff, if you don't mind reading a wip! ✦ untitled by lurkingcrow, obi-wan/anakin, sith!obi-wan, ~1k     The first thing to remember is that Obi-Wan Kenobi Fell for the sake of another.    This is a follow-up/sister fic to Sith Anakimono , which would help to read first/at the same time, and it's a lovely piece about all that good, iddy fun stuff with the Soft Sith dynamic that I love so much! Obi-Wan and the dark and falling in love with Anakin, that the only way he might ever fall would be because of his love for someone else, someone that defined his life, fall for them, not because of them. There's a sort of lushness to the writing, something that just revels in the dark, in an understated but there way that just really worked for me, that the fic's aesthetic was just totally my jam and I loved it. ✦ untitled by swhurtcomfort, obi-wan & anakin & bant, ~1.1k     “Well, Obi-Wan” Bant said. Obi-Wan jolted awake from a catnap he didn’t realize he was taking when his old friend strode into the room, scrolling through a chart on her datapad. “Your blood sugar’s fine, lab results look fine, and I’m not seeing any problem with your heart readout.”    This was an absolutely wonderful fic, with Obi-Wan forced to go to the healing ward, because Anakin is fretting over him and it's just such an absolute scream to read here, the casualness with which Obi-Wan treats the whole thing, the panic lacing Anakin's character, the gentle concern from Bant, none of them too over the top, but instead in line with a scene I could see in the series itself, and then Obi-Wan indulging Anakin's fussing by agreeing to lay down for awhile! Like, it clearly hits all these iddy buttons that I love , with the h/c and the characterization, how much Obi-Wan means to Anakin and vice versa, but it's also genuinely well-written and sharp and lovely to read. ✦ And If Your Glass Heart Should Crack by victoria_p (musesfool), leia, ~1k     Sometimes, Leia feels as if she's spent her whole life grieving.    Another heartbreaking Leia piece that's just the right amount of grief, heartache, reslience, and hope. This is so Leia, in how she holds herself together through sheer force of will sometimes, but also how deeply she feels these things. Every little thing that brought both comfort and pain (like, oh, seeing Chewbacca again and how they're two of the only ones left standing, it's perfect and so very sad) was beautifully done, in such a short piece that packs such a punch for me! ✦ Useful by igrockspock, leia & luke & han, 1.4k     To earn her place on the Falcon, Leia has to be useful, so she tries to learn everything she can.    One of the things that I love a lot about current SW fandom is that I've been able to find a reasonable amount of character pieces centered on Leia Organa and the complicated, difficult, often messy person she is, that there's such determination and fire there, amongst the tragedy, and this is another look at those things, as she's so tough and yet so vulnerable at the same time. I just really had a lot of Leia feelings all over again. ✦ Certainty by zarabithia, obi-wan/anakin/padme, ~1k     Padmé responds differently to Obi-Wan and Anakin after their ten year separation than she did in Attack of the Clones. As a result, everyone gets a happy ending.    Man, I really need more fic that just gleefully throws canon out the window to make everything fluffy and soft and cute as heck. And that's exactly what this fic does, it embraces being soft and skipping over all that angst and complications, to drop the three of them into bed together and sometimes my soul needs to be soothed like this! ✦ Atoms and Space by mewgirl1995, obi-wan/anakin & ahsoka, 6k     During a standard supply run, Ahsoka, Obi-Wan, and Anakin crash land on an unknown planet. Something ominous lurks behind the seemingly innocent exterior and the three of them struggle to escape before the planet consumes them.    This is the kind of solid fic that I just really enjoy , like it's a balance of things I genuinely enjoy and things that are pleasing to my id--when the three of them crash on a planet and get sucked into Force visions and Anakin is the most trapped and is going to hurt them (more than they've already been hurt in the crash) if they don't pull him out of it, balancing his relationships with both of them. It's solid and good and gets what I wanted to read here, that it's Anakin waking up from his trance and realizing what he's done and curling up against Obi-Wan because he's sorry and in need of comfort, that Obi-Wan is so gentle and careful with him, despite his own strength, because this is the one he loves, and Ahsoka being adorable and a happy ending! Like, it's one of those that just makes me feel better when I read it, that's exactly what I wanted from it! ✦ Do Not Go Gentle by Glare, obi-wan/anakin & ahsoka & cast, a/b/o, 12.2k wip     Anakin Skywalker is only six months into his Jedi training when he goes missing on a mission, bringing his Master’s life crashing down. Unable to recover from the loss, Alpha Obi-Wan Kenobi grieves his Padawan’s uncertain fate, unaware that his life would once again be turned on end with the arrival of an Omega Sith Lord to the Temple ten years later.      Chapter 6: I've recommended this fic before, but it's been awhile, so this may be a more general rec than I usually do for an update rec! It's not a long chapter, just about 1.6k total, but it reminds me of why I really enjoy this fic, that it just goes straight for embracing the alpha/omega tropes and how protective Obi-Wan is of Anakin, who has been through hell and back, that this is a quiet moment in the story, half about Obi-Wan talking to Ahsoka, half about the first quiet real moment he manages to have with Anakin, how it indicates that there's so much work to be done on the horizon, especially because Anakin's tendencies towards jealousy and mistrust and anxiety are going to be dialed up to eleven, in a universe where he's so much more adrift. And I'm rubbing my hands in glee to get to allllll of that delicious angst and trying to work through shit, all while their biology is screaming at them. That it'll (hopefully?) go full-tilt on the possessiveness they have for each other, that there's already been marking bruises where Obi-Wan bit him and claimed him, like, yes, feed me this always, thank you. ✦ Tooka Trouble by DonkerRood, obi-wan/anakin & mace, 1.4k     Obi-Wan and Anakin have been turned into adorable tooka kittens by the Force. What now?    This was a very cute piece, just happily cracky and fluffy, as Obi-Wan and Anakin are turned into tooka cats and their instincts to cuddle take over. Cute! ✦ Run by Selcier, obi-wan/anakin, modern au, human au, 1.1k     Sometimes, his morning run isn't enough to clear his mind.    This was a really gentle, quiet sort of slice of life piece that was just kind of soft and soothing, just a moment in time that didn't need to be more or less than it was, just a piece of a bigger world that doesn't need to be more than this nice glimpse into it! And it was really nice to read for that. ✦ 'Destiny' Is Another Word for 'Coincidence' by ambiguously , ezra/leia (sort of) & sabine(/leia background) & cast, 8.4k     Ezra asks Leia out on a date. This is a terrible idea.    It's pretty much exactly what it says on the tin and yet it's much more than that at the same time, it's a really fun look at the time in their lives when these kids are teenagers and Rebels, that they're sort of dancing around each other and trying to figure themselves out and I enjoyed it for the awkwardness of Ezra and Leia trying out a date just as much as I enjoyed it for them not really having the right spark and being interesting not-quite-friends-but-something-like-it. The details are filled in nicely, there's such a smoothness to the story, there's something so good about both of these kids, they're both really trying and are both people I really love and even when they clash it's not because one of them is being super awful to the other, they're just different and trying to connect. They come from such different worlds and the fic shows that in a really cool way and what seems like it could have been a "lol throw two characters together just because!" is actually a very nicely done character piece for both Ezra and Leia. ✦ An (Un)fortunate Haunting by Kooriicolada (WHM_Koorii), scarletjedi, obi-wan & anakin/padme, time travel, force ghost, 3.5k     “I refuse to listen to hallucinations.” “I AM NOT A HALLUCINATION!”     This was a fic that was very well balanced between being utter crack and really sharp, somewhere in the vicinity of crack-treated-seriously, and that made it an absolute scream to read! The pacing and the timing of it are really sharply done, there's a ton of moments that made me smile or outright laugh, there's so much WHY ARE YOU LIKE THIS from Anakin to pretty much everyone he's traveled back in time to meet with and try to talk to, most especially his past self. And I love the dynamic between Obi-Wan and Anakin especially, there's something that's just so incredibly fond underneath the banter and the frustration and the "why are you like this??" and the messing with each other, there was something so warm-hearted and just really, really fun about this piece, I cannot express my delight at that enough. Sharp and fun! My favorite things. ✦ A Fool's Game by Eirian Erisdar, obi-wan & anakin (background anakin/padme and obi-wan/satine), 1.6k     During the Clone Wars, Anakin and Obi-Wan find themselves trapped in a downed LAAT/i with only conversation to keep them from succumbing to their injuries. As they await rescue, what starts as a fool's game turns to startling revelations.    I'm a sucker for this set-up, with two characters who have a complicated and deeply caring relationship stuck in a place, with a nice dash of whump for both of them to help nudge them into needing a distraction and also because Anakin Skywalker's brain kind of starts gibbering with fear, and this was a fun one. Playing "the dumbest thing I've ever done", that they both have a sense of humor about themselves and it eventually leads to difficult conversations that they're too loopy for and it was the right amounts of light and heartbreaking. ✦ untitled by legobiwan, yoda & dooku & qui-gon, 1.5k     Yan Dooku was getting too old for this type of thing. He had rushed into the healer’s ward, Qui-gon’s limp body in his arms. That in itself had been a feat, as the boy’s gangly limbs were everywhere, but somehow the older Jedi Master had been able to deposit his wayward Padawan on a bed before an errant arm took his nose off.    Do you know what is my favorite thing? When something just fills my heart with warmth and glee to read it! I loved the use of this prompt to make something really adorable and absolutely joyful, I loved that Qui-Gon's just high as fuck because of a medication, that Dooku is suffering beyond belief at this nonsense, and Yoda's just amused by the whole thing. It gives me my lineage feelings in spades, but also I just chuckled at everything Qui-Gon said and imagining Dooku's face throughout it and even had Yoda feelings about how fond he is of his lineage. I could totally see this having actually happened and it's just pure fun ✦ Twin Hearts of Kyber by JadeLotus (Lotusflower85), obi-wan & luke & leia, 5.4k wip     Following the Battle of Scarif, Leia is able to evade the Empire and visits Obi-Wan on Tatooine to make her father's request in person.    When I read this, I thought it was a single chaptered fic and it worked really well as an interesting oneshot where things go differently, because Leia makes it to Tatooine to meet with Obi-Wan. It's set from her point of view, so there's a lot she doesn't understand or gets wrong (about Obi-Wan's purpose here, about what the Jedi were actually like rather than fanon/propaganda about them, etc.) and I really enjoyed just how impatient she was. Not without good reason, I can't blame her, but the stark contrast between her and Obi-Wan, who seems unhurried and without care unless you actually know him, and the importance of just what else he has to bring with them, all of that has a really fun tension and it's a good look through Leia's eyes and is a fun divergent timeline fic. ✦ Lessons Learned by swhurtcomfort, obi-wan & anakin & ahsoka, 1.6k     The first time Ahsoka wakes, someone is there. There is a gentle hand resting on top of hers and a soft voice conversing quietly with the medical droid. Master Obi-Wan, she realizes. He doesn’t seem to notice that she’s awake. She doesn’t know where she is, but she is too sleepy to find out.    Oh, I love that the mods of this account know exactly what h/c hits my iddy buttons, that there's all this delicious hurt, but there's also the comfort, so it's really in balance and this one was great . Ahsoka is hurt, but not as hurt as Anakin is, and she blames herself and Obi-Wan is struggling to stay calm because Anakin being really hurt is the one thing that knocks him for a real loop, so everyone is human and hurting (it's terrible that I enjoyed so much that Obi-Wan was unbalanced by this, how he's not cruel, but he's not calm about things, either, because he's human and he cares so deeply about Anakin, that the fic doesn't have to tell us this, it shows us this, and does it in a way that's not mean-spirited, but instead true to the characters, that he's still Obi-Wan and still gentle and kind at heart, that he still works to put Anakin and Ahsoka's relationship back together, because he cares about her so much as well, and, oh, Ahsoka is so upset at what happened and Luminara and Barriss are looking out for her, then the wonderful Anakin and Ahsoka scenes--!) and I'd have read at least 50k of this fic and come back for more. ✦ untitled part 1 + part 2 by swhurtcomfort, obi-wan & anakin & rex & helix & fives & cast, 3.1k     “M’okay,” Anakin tried to shout, but it came out weaker than he’d intended. He drew in a ragged breath and tried again.    I think I may have recommended this fic before, but I can't remember if I did both parts and I read it all over again recently and wanted to recommend it (again?) because I love how much the mods of this account get what I love about h/c, that the hurt's a lot of fun, but it's at its most satisfying when it's also about the comfort. That there's a good chunk of time spent on Anakin whump, how much pain he's in when he's at the bottom of a ravine, but I wouldn't have enjoyed it half as much without all the time Obi-Wan spends worrying over him, staying with him and obviously caring about him deeply. That it packs the emotional punch to go with the lovely writing all the way around, is what makes me wish I could read a 100k fic from these authors, because they're so sharp , but also so balanced. Like, read this with me: He brushed Anakin’s hair away from his face and Anakin looked so relaxed that he continued the motion, stroking the former padawan’s hair. It reminded him of how readily Anakin had melted into his arms as a young boy, and how easy it had been to soothe him with gentle cuddles. A small part of Obi-Wan missed those days. I am MELTING over here, you guys! I'm just rolling around in feelings because of this. ✦ Specter by Okadiah, kanan & jacen, ~1k     Kanan may have died, and yeah -- he didn't have a body anymore. But that didn't mean he wasn't around in the one way that still mattered.    Listen. Listen. Who cares if Kanan couldn't have become an actual Force Ghost, WHO CARES, I WANT FORCE GHOST DAD KANAN. And this fic whole-heartedly embraces that and, oh, it got me in the feelings place with Kanan watching over baby Jacen, being there for him however he could and just. Feelings! Everywhere! It's a short and lovely piece, just the right amounts of bittersweet and hopeful for what I wanted. ✦ Strategy! by imaginary_golux, obi-wan & anakin & luke & leia & ben & snoke & cast, ~1k     The Force ghost of Anakin Skywalker has some very strong feelings about Snoke trying to groom himself a new Darth Vader, using Anakin's only grandson no less.     This was a cute, totally cracky little short fic that was just fun to read, because who doesn't want to cackle at the image of Anakin just losing his shit over an evil villain preying on his grandson and just going Full Skywalker about it? Hilarious and id-pleasing fun! ✦ untitled Supreme Chancellor Kenobi fic by stonefreeak, palpatine, 2.5k     The alley is dark and secluded, far down in the bowels of Coruscant’s lower districts. It’s the perfect meeting place for something like this—two people, neither of whom wishes to be recognised, conducting a less-than-legal business transaction.    Do you know what I used to really hate? Anything to do with Palpatine. It's over time that I've come to appreciate him as a genuinely brilliant villain and someone who is gleefully over the top and having the time of his life and/or being hilariously thwarted, all of which this fic gives me in exactly the way I want.  He's such a deliciously, screamingly evil character that he's so much fun to read about, that he plots and plans and manipulates and betrays and backstabs people! And I love how he has so many plans here and it's just really good at capturing that cackling villain (even while I do take him seriously, which is not an easy balance to maintain) as he interacts with an OC he hired to kill Obi-Wan Kenobi. So much fun! ✦ The Joy of Nescience by ambiguously, kanan & depa & rex(/ahsoka), 2.1k     Three times Kanan Jarrus did not want to know.    This one got my attention for the Kanan and Depa opening scene and that was probably still my favorite (I love bb!Caleb so much ) but the whole fic is one big "Kanan doesn't want to know any more than he already does" and it's this great little connection to how inquisitive Caleb used to be, all those questions he had bubbling up inside him, contrasted against how HE DOES NOT WANT TO KNOW SOME THINGS, and the two tie nicely together. It's sharp and cute and funny and has some great little details and gave me back Kanan feelings all over again. ✦ untitled by legobiwan, obi-wan & anakin & ahsoka & rex & cast, ~1k     Ahsoka and Rex only hear the commotion on the other side of the room, but they exchange a look.    This was a cute and funny story about how you know Anakin was totally extra and ridiculous and how much gray hair Anakin absolutely caused Anakin over the years. ✦ Jinning Your Padawan by RestlessWanderings, obi-wan & anakin & ahsoka & rex & ahsoka, 1.4k     or: the one where everyone finds out that qui-gon abandoned obi-wan on a war torn planet and that the action has a name    You sort of have to roll with the premise of this fic, because Qui-Gon was actually beloved by these characters (and that the JA novels were never canon/are incompatible with TCW, so they don't really fit together), rather than bashing him, but when I read it, it was totally on Obi-Wan's side and it was more about ribbing Qui-Gon himself than anything else (whom I go back and forth on) and so I could totally roll with it and it's a light-hearted, silly, sharply written piece! The dialogue is a lot of fun and, setting aside Qui-Gon, what the fic does is that its aim is to make characters feel better , that it's not about being cruel, it's about making characters happy and, look, canon gives me enough of the sads and the mads, I want everyone to be happy in fic! When it's about treating my beloved Obi-Wan well and understanding how much shit he's been through, look, that is what I am here for, it's my jam, because I don't get enough of it. I want everyone to be happy, so I'm glad that Anakin and Ahsoka are so warm-hearted and adorable here, too! But, oh, man, give me everyone being happy and I'm yours , so this fic really got me in the good way. ✦ untitled by bcdroom-hymns, obi-wan/anakin, NSFW, spanking, ~1k       It would not be the first time Anakin drapes himself over Obi-Wan’s lap, but this is the first time he looks up to him with his cheeks reddened and asks:    This is a fun, id-pleasing fic that's about the enthusiastic sexy times and the kink it's embracing, it's about how much Anakin likes getting spanked because it empties the noise out of his head, that it makes him melt into a boneless heap, that it doesn't need anything beyond this to be satisfying. So I enjoyed it a lot! ✦ A Human Resource Problem by igrockspock, leia & ben, 1.2k       Kylo Ren captures General Organa. It does not turn out as planned.    I want so many Leia-and-Ben fics! So many! And this was a very nice start to scratching that itch. It's a short piece, but I love it, that it's both bittersweet and determined, that there's such hurt and pain there even as there's resilience, that they both would act this way towards each other. A lovely read that I've been wanting to see more of.

So I need to share this before I forget, because ever since I saw the Last Jedi for a second time with my brother (while drinking a Revenge of the Sip...god, AMC, why did you stick a bar in the theater?!) I was hit with some pretty big realizations. This is, of course, after devouring TLJ and TFA meta on tumblr as it’s come across my dash in droves. My main focus here is Luke. Placing under a cut for spoilers, and also spoiler tagging because I know some people have yet to see it that I’m friends with.
There was a lot implied in TLJ that I’ve not seen people touch upon. I’ve seen the comments about Snoke, Ben’s abuse and childhood grooming, and how Luke led everyone to believe Ben just went nuts and killed everyone--not that Luke almost killed Ben. Then there’s Rey and her connection and the themes of adolescence and just--it’s great meta. It’s wonderful.
I didn’t see a lot of people actually touching upon Luke in all this mess, aside from being an additional abuser of Ben. Unfortunately I never quite read Luke as one of Ben’s abusers--while yes I feel that Luke deciding to train Ben because of his strength in the Force and being a Skywalker Legacy was a bit rude, you have to admit: Ben needed training. Leia, Han, and Luke were all highly political figures--is it therefore any wonder why Snoke was able to slowly and subtly groom one of the Skywalker line? If Luke hadn’t taken Ben on, and several other force sensitives, to at least give them some grounding considering what the force is and how powerful Ben himself is? It could’ve been a disaster.
More than it was, at least.
I think also the implications of what happened have been hinted at in other meta, but I’ve not seen anyone outright address it. Luke talks about how he could see the evil growing in Ben--there’s a lovely little incorrect-starwars-quote going around about how it was 2AM and Ben was sleeping--but the thought niggled in my mind, especially after Snoke admitted to creating the Force Bond between Ben and Rey.
What if Ben wasn’t turning at all, in any respects? Because Luke got to Ben early enough, started to train Ben early enough, Snoke couldn’t actually get his claws into Ben without a catalyst. He could try to manipulate Ben’s thoughts, but Ben had someone in his corner at this time. Luke. Luke who saw promise in him, Luke who paid attention to him when his parents weren’t or couldn’t. Luke who actually was there for him--and sure it was because Ben had powers or whatever, but Luke was Ben’s primary influence where Snoke tried to be.
Luke’s betrayal of Ben was the catalyst Snoke needed to hook the Skywalker he wanted. There is a lot about the scene(s) we see where Luke betrays Ben that got me thinking. First of all, why was he actually there peeking in on a teenager’s dreams? That’s not something I could ever see Luke logically doing. We were never given any hints as to what supposed darkness Luke saw either that led him to this action. We know Snoke was horribly, terribly powerful in the Force given that he could Force Bond two young force sensitives galaxies apart. Something that should have, theoretically, been impossible.
Whose to say that Snoke didn’t manipulate Ben into turning, but more manipulated Luke into believing Ben was turning? We all have to admit, Luke tries to be wise but he’s really not. TLJ showcases that wonderfully. He’s a goof who got placed with responsibility that he didn’t know how to handle at all--he handled it fairly well all things considered, probably with Leia nagging him and feeding him things while they had their twin bond going strong, but in training other force sensitives all Luke had to go on was Obi-Wan, and Yoda. One old guy that he was told to stay away from, but was supposedly a family friend, who lied to him about his father and kept a lot of secrets.
The other a massive troll of epic proportions going slightly senile from everything he ever created/controlled being ruined by his own hubris.
I don’t count Aniken and I don’t count Sidious because while they definitely showed him the other side of the force in force they didn’t actively had a hand in teaching him things aside from being adversaries.
So I propose that in this Luke is as much a victim as Ben, specifically of Snoke. Ben is noted as being a lot like his father--having his father’s heart--and we actually do see a lot of Solo in Kylo Ren. That’s probably why everyone refers to him as Ben Solo instead of Ben Organa like I presume he would’ve been called, given that Han Solo even referenced that he no longer bore the name ‘Solo.’
This is where I want to step it up a notch. So Snoke royally fucked around with the Skywalker line because he wanted a Vader to his Sidious--great, wonderful. I still have no idea what hole you crawled out of and I don’t care. You’re dead now and good on Ben getting out of your shadow. What I find interesting is that there is reference to Rey turning--that even Luke is horrified that Rey would willingly follow the dark hole in the ground to get what it offers her, that she doesn’t resist--and that both Ben and Rey seem to think the other will turn. Yoda says they can’t lose Rey like they’ve lost Ben--which prompts Luke to pull an Obi-Wan.
Strangely, Luke’s stand off with Ben and subsequent apology about how he royally fucked shit up--I mean freaking out about your uncle standing over you in the dead of night with a Lightsaber very obviously contemplating shoving the laser sword in your chest would terrify anyone. Rightfully so. I’m proud of Luke owning up to his biggest fuck up to date, because that showed Luke finally accepting his hand in this whole mess instead of running and hiding like a coward.
Again understandable. This is Leia and Han’s kid. They would’ve torn him a new one if they knew what shit he’d pulled there. Leia is so terrifyingly like their father I could understand Luke’s desire to run and hide and just fade off into obscurity because fuck this. Plus I found it very interesting at this point after the monumental ‘but he’s evil!’ ‘shit that’s wrong!’ mistake Luke actually shuts himself off from the force.
None of us knew Luke blocked the Force out until Rey mentioned it! That Luke shut himself out doesn’t scream to me like he’s trying to hide even further from Leia or from Snoke--honestly if he doesn’t want to be found he could just mask his presence, not cut himself off completely. Especially not when the Force has been such an intrinsic part of his life for so long--long enough that he uses it subconsciously when he opens himself back up again! I see here more that Luke saw something with the Force-or he thought he saw something that was true, but because it ended in such tragedy he couldn’t come to terms with it. Luke closed himself off as another way to hide--this time from the Force that he felt betrayed him.
From himself, and his own strength in this mystical binding power between everything. If he could make such a huge mistake--what if that meant Luke was turning? I see Luke’s self imposed exile to a planet that houses ancient Jedi texts as him trying to figure out what the fuck happened. Why he responded that way? Why did he even think it was right? Was the Force turning him? Was he turning the Force? Was there something else?
And I think Luke finally put together that it was Snoke only after Yoda destroyed the tree, after Yoda talks about how they can’t lose Rey. Here Luke stood, having betrayed another potential student out of sudden fear. Here Luke stood, having opened himself back up to the Force and having to reveal his mistakes before an enraged child--a hurt child, one who was bound neatly to Ben Solo in a manner that shouldn’t be possible. Here Luke finally realized--it was Snoke.
And then Snoke was dead. He was no longer in the Force, no longer sending out feelers for Luke, to twist Luke, to twist Ben, to twist Rey--so Luke did what he thought was best. Save the child he could, and show the other child that he fucked up and there wasn’t anything more he could do aside from admit it--that he failed Ben Solo.
That’s what I think is most interesting. That Luke stands before Ben not as the Luke of today--he’s very obviously the Luke of Ben’s nightmares. His hair has color and is neatly trimmed, he’s dressed in a manner befitting a Jedi Master of a Training Temple. He wields a lightsaber that is destroyed. It’s glaringly obvious in retrospect that Luke is projecting from his little island--because Luke is projecting the Luke Ben remembers. The Luke that betrayed Ben, that hurt Ben, that started Ben Solo’s descent into Snoke’s arms. It is not from current day Luke that Ben get’s an apology, it’s from the Luke of Ben’s nightmares.
It is that same Luke that promises to haunt his steps if struck down in anger.
I think Luke knows--Rey doesn’t need saving. Ben already saved her. He got rid of the poison, he got rid of Snoke. Ben doesn’t need saving either, because at his heart he was left with a gaping wound and no real closure for what happened. Luke disappeared before Ben could truly get it, but now Luke gave Ben closure, and gave himself closure too. Luke gave himself the tools needed to make sure no other abuser could touch his nephew like that again.
Luke isn’t Rey’s guardian angel. Rey’s guardian angel comes in the form of Leia. Let the girls handle the girls. No, he’s Ben’s, because ultimately Luke was the catalyst for Kylo Ren--and ultimately, Luke will be the one in the Force stopping another Snoke from taking control of Kylo Ren while he finds his footsteps.
Or so I hope.
(seriously the Skywalker family needs to stop being extra okay)

Summaries!
(I’m so sorry these are late.) Artists take a peek at these summaries and have in mind which you would like to work with. Please remember that if you are under 18, you will be paired with a SFW fic. I don’t know which ones fully are which, but there are some clearly NSFW ones, so don’t cling to those. It’s not gonna happen. (I don’t mean to be mean, but this is just how it is.) Anyways, love the ideas folks!
These are the ones that were submitted. Still need to submit a summary, or would like to post an updated/longer version?
Please do so here!
Also if you know there will be NSFW, please let me know, so we can help plan ahead of time.

Anakin was a freshman at Coruscant Republic University with a full ride basketball scholarship. His skills had been rumored to have been the best in the area, but of course, only by high school standards. Anakin quickly discovered that the head coach, Obi-Wan Kenobi, was the most attractive man he had ever seen in his life. He only intended his coach to remain just that; his coach. Too bad that didn’t work out like he planned.

Anakin and Obi-Wan crash-land on the Planet of the Living Force. And, Anakin being Anakin, finds a glowing cave and walks straight into it. When he comes out, he's not alone. A creature of pure Force-dust and soul, his daemon, walks beside him, powerful enough to manifest daemons in those around her. Now back at the Jedi temple, Anakin, Obi-Wan, Padme, and even Mace and Yoda find their lives destabilized by the presence of their soul, palpable and alive, next to them. (To artists: daemons are animals, an idea taken from His Dark Materials.

So my fic is a professor!Obi-Wan and TA/GA!Anakin au where Anakin has just leaving an abusive relationship with the help of Padmé. Obi-Wan is a Philosophy/Ethics professor and Anakin is his GA /TA who is in graduate school to get his masters in both philosophy and psychology (he's a double major). Obi-Wan doesn't feel like he's ready to take on a GA/TA and comes off as standoffish which leads Anakin to think he hates him. It's a slow burn friends to lovers with Anakin going to therapy and realizing that yes he does deserve to be happy. The abusive relationship is more implied and is only in the first chapter, with the occasional flashbacks. This fic will be nsfw but the nsfw will only be between Anakin and Obi-Wan.

Ben was born in a distant Moon where the inhabitants worship and are descended from the Starbird, a great flaming bird that is the personification of the Force. He was sent to the Jedi when he was young and apprenticed under Yoda. Years later, in a mission with Qui-gon Jinn to save the Naboo Queen, they emergency land in the planet Tatooine and there he meets a young boy called Anakin who holds the galaxy in his eyes... and apparently can see his wings. He brings(in a manner of speaking) the child back with him to the Temple. Anakin chooses to become a Jedi to help people and becomes an unofficial padawan of Ben. When he is older, the two goes on missions to help a torn kingdom, rescue royalties, topple a dicatorship, and help incite a slave rebellion. Anakin totally loves his master.

Just smut, and lots of it. #Master kink #daddy kink Obi Wan, Anakin and Padme live in New York in a poly relationship. Obi Wan comes from money and can be a bit arrogant at times. He is a New York Times reader and he also works as a negotiator for the UN, and as such, is a Very Important Person. He has the ear of the president on occasion. Anakin is a bit flighty, and is a very high in demand male model. Not that this has gone to his head…When he’s not obsessing about working out, he’s obsessing about his Master. He has somewhat of a rivalry with Padme when it comes to his Master’s attentions. Padme is a hard working chef at a posh restaurant. She is very competitive and sometimes her work tends to occupy all her time. In fact, she may be a bit of a workaholic. Until she gets distracted by the boys…. Padme loves when her daddy spoils her with attention, it really takes her mind of her stressful job. She may have a competition with Anakin, but at the end of the day when Obi Wan isn’t home they definitely know how to distract each other….

Anakin gets taken in by Sidious when he's still a boy on Tatooine. As a young Sith Lord trying to survive in a galaxy quickly descending into war, he meets Obi-Wan Kenobi, Jedi Knight, tea provider and all around mother hen. That's not exactly improving his life expectancy, though.

Recently knighted Anakin Skywalker is assigned a simple transport mission at the Council’s insistence. Upon arriving on Dantooine, Anakin discovers that his “cargo” is a dangerous prisoner whom he must escort to Coruscant where the man will be safely contained in the Jedi Detention Center. However, not all goes as planned, and as Anakin finds out, not everything is quite as it seems concerning the prisoner. Additionally, fresh in the young Jedi’s mind is the death of his master, Qui-Gon Jinn. As he attempts to come to terms with the loss, Anakin is drawn into doubting his past, his beliefs, and the Order itself. Complicating things further, Anakin is unable to resist his fascination with the prisoner, Obi-Wan, and develops a strange attachment to him. It should be unsettling—the extent to which Anakin connects with this man—instead, Anakin finds it all too natural, like stoking a fire that had always been there, lingering between them in long-forgotten dimness. Whispers of the Sith’s return do nothing to quell the situation, and somehow, Anakin finds himself falling not to the darkness, but for Obi-Wan.

Anakin lives a boring life in his mother's farm near the dessert Town of Tatooine and works in a minumun wage job. All of that is going to change when he witneses an ongoing mission and picks up the dashing J.E.D.I knight Obi Wan Kenobi. In a world in the verge of war Anakin Skywalker may have what it takes to become part of a shady organisation and stop a tyrant from gaining ultimate power. (I dont know yet if there will be smut, but count on lewd jokes and make out sessions,)

Anakin decides that in order fulfill his prophecy of the Chosen One, he needs to take up the Father’s demand to stay on Mortis. Anakin believes that this will enable the War to end quickly. Obi-wan supports his decision with the caveat that he be allowed communication with Anakin. He is proud of Anakin for putting aside his worldly wants in order to follow the guidance of the Force. However, over the course of Anakin’s stay on Mortis, he begins to lose less and less of himself while become immersed the Force. He lacks initiative and is distant from the events in the rest of the galaxy. Obi-wan finds this change disturbing and eventually realizes his attachment to Anakin after the parts of his personality are lost to lethargy. Also, Anakin’s actions do not seem to affecting the War in the Republic’s favor. More and more systems are falling under Separatist control, the Senate bogged down in committees and inaction and the Jedi are decreasing in numbers. On a mission to Onderon with Ahsoka (whose training Obi-wan has taken over), Obi-wan feels the lack of motion in the War and chooses to aid the rebel group in guerrilla tactics. His methods are beyond the scope of self-defense and the Council deems them Terroristic in nature. He is ordered to return to Coruscant. Instead, Obi-wan finishes his task and decides to liberate Anakin from Mortis. Anakin wakes up in the Jedi Temple on Coruscant to find that he has missed two years of the War. He is frustrated that his actions were in vain and angry at the Force for its deception. He finds out that Obi-wan has been Court Martialed for his actions and is being held in a GAR military prison. Eventually, they have words about their goals and expectations while Obi-wan is awaiting trial. (This story will probably play out in a nonlinear fashion with hints to past Obikin interactions. Clearly there’s no ending yet!)

Post-ROTS AU. Anakin makes the right decision in Palpatine's office, but ends up suffering the consequences. Effects of the Force Lightning has damaged his health, and Padme has still died, the twins with her. In mourning, Anakin struggles to piece his life back together. Meanwhile, Obi-Wan is tasked by the Council to keep an eye on their Chosen One: he made the right choice once, but could they trust him to do it again? Could they trust him not to cause himself harm? Short answer is no. Long answer is Obi-Wan and Anakin dance around each other and their feelings until they can't anymore.

In the wake of his premature death, Anakin is left trapped in the physical realm as a Ghost. Confused and troubled, with pieces of his past left unfixed and broken, he struggles to come to terms with what was his reality as truths, lies and corruption are revealed in a twisted puzzle between the Jedi and Sith. All the while watching helpless as Obi-Wan begins to succumb to the fate that should have been his. All while slowly fading away out of existence - and the Force - eternally as he and his master both remain lost afoot. (Heavy angst, inspired by the song "Dear Agony").

Modern day London; Anakin Skywalker, a young man who's accidentaly always in trouble with the law, is in bigger trouble than usual. He's about to get his ass locked up when a fancy, suit-wearing stranger arranges for him to be discharged. The stranger introduces himself as Obi-Wan Kenobi and leaves Anakin with more questions than answers as well as an address of a tailor shop in Savile Row. But not before he takes Anakin for a drink at a local pub and, after they're rudely interrupted, proceeds to beat up four grown men into unconsciousness without so much as breaking a sweat. "Well fuck me," Anakin whispers in shocked awe. "At least buy me dinner first," Obi-Wan replies, grinning. [basically a Kingsman AU but, like, even gayer]

Anakin goes missing in the outer rim and it's up to Obi-Wan to find him. But after almost a year of searching, he's beginning to lose hope. With Satine dead and Ahsoka gone, he's isolated and lonely. He never had the chance to tell Anakin what he truly meant to him. And now he's afraid he never will. When Obi-Wan is sent a planet in the outer rim, he meets a very young girl who may have the information he's been so desperately searching for. Will this be what leads Obi-Wan to his love? Or will this supposed lead turn into a trap?

As far as he knew, Obi-Wan hadn't signed up to be the exclusive, pioneering member of the Anakin Skywalking Disaster clean-up crew. However, when Padme Amidala shows up on his doorstep, neck bruised and heavily pregnant, of course he couldn't turn her away. Anakin's gotten involved in the Sith. You'd be a fool not to know the name of the gang, or speak of it in anything higher than a whisper. Of course Anakin had been getting into nothing but trouble since they had last spoken, just short of a year ago. Soon after, Padme dies in childbirth. Her eyes drift away with a pen in hand, Luke and Leia Kenobi drawn out in soft cursive.

Anakin Skywalker is a cloaked force-sensitive working in the Senate as the new Coruscant representative under Palpatine's guidance. Obi-Wan Kenobi, a Senator shortly returned from a leave of absence, can't stand him, with Senator Skywalker's reputation being that of a morally grey, pleasure seeking, bribe taking scoundrel. When the threat of the Sith becomes evident in the galaxy, Senator Kenobi sets to researching. He soon finds himself put on senatorial assignments with Anakin Skywalker.
