hi! i saw the requests were open so could i ask for bakugo and midoryia (add whoever you want) with a female s/o who knew aizawa since she was small? like theres video's of them having tea parties together and stuff when she was little, and aizawa is kind of like a father to her? i absolutely LOVE your writing and I'm trying to get back into writing rn!

midoriya izuku

for a good portion of the time izuku has known you, he didn’t hear anything about your parents— and he didn’t pressure you into telling him otherwise

you have your reasons! and besides, it must’ve been a touchy topic or so he thought

because one day, aizawa approached him. not the class, or while he was talking to someone— but him.

alone.

but not in the standard aizawa way. it was,, a little more awkward than usual? there was definitely something different going on.

it looked like his well respected teacher knew something, and he wanted to SAY something to him, but it was just caught in his throat.

it was left unexplained, until you approached him— looking quite awkward yourself.

“sorry about dad, i told him to calm down before approaching you, but he kinda speeded past me.”

izuku’s puzzled, “who’s ‘dad’?”

“y’know. our homeroom teacher. aizawa-sensei.”

and izuku’s like 😃➡️😃⁉️ “HE’S YOUR WHAT?”

and you’re LAUGHING, and your boyfriend’s confused— and you just tell him that he reacted exactly like that when you told him you were dating someone

you then explained that your homeroom teacher was someone you knew since you were very, very young— and he took care of you, making him your father figure

which explained a lot of his hostile— yet awkward behavior in his latest conversation with the teacher.

but, it was all under the wraps to not make it look like aizawa-sensei had some sort of bias towards you, which made plenty of sense to izuku.

sooner or later, your father found out that you were dating problem child izuku midoriya

and he kinda freaked out in the middle of asking his student to do him a favor, which was to join his family for dinner

which really consisted of just you and him 💀 eri wanted to join, but aizawa said no, and figured it was something between the three of you only

in the past 5 minutes, the freckled teen has probably looked at his reflection for the thirtieth time. you don’t blame him for being nervous, but damn he gotta chill tf out 💀

then, the two of you walked over to your childhood home— and came in contact with your father!

while the three of you were preparing dinner, your dad was highkey hoping that the two of you wouldn’t do anything lovey dovey in front of him

luckily, nothing extreme happened, which was a big sigh of relief. but aizawa did not miss the way the enigmatic child grabbed for your hand🗿

you guys didn’t do initiate anything, because knowing your dad— he’d probably chuck izuku out of the house 😨

after making dinner, the three of you ate in a orderly matter— discussing about things the three of you would probably speak about in school

besides the mandatory, dreaded questions, he can say that izuku has answered all of them without hesitation.

half an hour before your boyfriend was supposed to head on home, aizawa asked to talk to him privately.

izuku’s sweating BULLETS now, and you can only hope and pray that your dad doesn’t go too hard on him.

“midoriya.”

“y-yes?”

“i’m not going to eat you. you can relax.” though he says that, nothing changes 💀 he’s still nervous

“r-right. i’m sorry, aizawa sensei.”

“besides, that’s not why i asked to speak to you privately.”

the green haired teen is left confused when his teacher shifts around, as if he was searching for something

but it immediately dissipates when he reaches for an album, and a camcorder. “i want to show you this.”

and lo and behold— it’s an album of all of your BABY pictures, and the camcorder has a bunch of home made documentary styled videos in them

he opens his mouth, as if he was going to squeal at the pictures, but not a single note escapes him.

“i took a lot of pictures when she was growing up. i wasn’t never a fan of being a photographer, but i made an exception for Y/N’s childhood and development.”

aizawa searches through the camcorder, and finds the collection he was looking for.

“Y/N was always the type of girl that’d make me have tea parties with her. though i was obviously exhausted, i never failed to capture these moments.”

izuku stares in awe, as the two of them watch multiple montages of four year old you making aizawa sit in a tiny, tiny chair

and also many other things, like making him replay many disney sing a longs, which he tiredly obliges

“in this video, Y/N wanted real stuffed animal friends to be at her tea party. i, didn’t know how to do that, so i got one of my colleagues to animate them with their quirk.”

“it didn’t go as planned, as you can see. i erased the quirk, and made up for it by voluntarily dressing up as a frilly princess.”

“and in this video, she wanted a dance party. so i played one of her favorite songs and danced with her. she completely forgot about the tea party, since she was too exhausted.”

the tension of meeting your s/o’s father is taken off the hero in training’s shoulders, “i never thought she’d be that kind of child”

for the first time in that night, aizawa smiles. though a little hesitant, izuku still asks “so uh.. why did you want to specifically show me this?”

“because i approve of you.”

he sputters, “p-pardon?”

“midoriya.” he stares straight at him, as if it wasn’t obvious already that he thought he was exceptional

“you’re a good kid. a problem child, but you’re a good person overall. good morals, and intentions. Y/N’s no longer a toddler, and sometimes i forget that.” he admits

“your relationship with her seems to be a reminder of that. by the looks of it, Y/N’s really happy being with you, so i don’t see a point in making an interference. making her happy— it’s all that really matters to me.”

he sighs in relief, “i will never let her down!”

“hold that promise, and make sure to remember it.” is all he says when he walks him to the door

“just promise another thing,”

“yes?”

“…don’t tell her i showed you her tea party videos from her childhood”

as a result, izuku laughs, which made you watch in confusion. you’re just glad aizawa’s not beating him up into a pulp rn

bakugou katsuki

if there was one thing he figured out from observing you, it was that you never, ever mentioned your parents

most especially your dad— heck, it even felt like you were avoiding the topic.

and it’s not like he wants to MEET them, no ‼️ it’s just that,, he doesn’t know why you avoid talking about them

but then, he started growing suspicious.

it wasn’t that he wasn’t observant of you before, but when you’re dating someone— you’re bound to notice the way your homeroom teacher asks to speak to said s/o in private

or the way aizawa’s glare is a little more,, dead set on him more than anyone else— even when he himself is confident that he did nothing in the past hour.

and if it wasn’t obvious already, it’s definitely the way he accidentally saw you walking out of school with aizawa, calling him ‘dad’

this bitch is canonially nosy what exactly are we expecting?

“it’s another case of deku and all might.” he thinks to himself, “… how the hell am i gonna deal with this one?”

and before he knew it, he’s at your door. as routine as it is, he confronts you “aizawa sensei is your dad.”

“yeah. he is,” you simply say it, like you’re reporting the weather, “i’ve known him since forever. he has always been around, y’know?”

“oh.”

“oh, and kats? don’t be surprised when he asks you to come over for dinner.” he can’t say he’s shocked by that— but gosh, was it a little intimidating.

and before he knew it, he’s at your house for dinner.

katsuki wishes he could confidently say that it went superb. it did for the most part— considering that aizawa sensei didn’t throw him out to rot

the blond dressed up appropriately no tanktops this time. katsuki wasn’t rude as to be expected but, he wasn’t extremely nice either. he only spoke when it was necessary.

on top of that— he helped with cooking, and he was a little cautious with adding spices to the dishes. it would be bad to accidentally burn your lover’s father’s throat from spices.

and to put another thing on top of that— he didn’t initiate any pda excluding the time he nervously grabbed for your hand when aizawa sensei wasn’t looking

but y’know,, it’s actually nerve wracking. can you blame him? the pro hero’s just unreadable at some times.

which lead him in your house, for the second time around. courtesy to your dad, of course.

he’s a little un-nerved, but he can’t lie and say that he’s not relieved that he’s here again— it just means that the totally hostile and strict teacher doesn’t seek for vengeance for dating his daughter

so while the two of you are cleaning up after lunch, aizawa makes his move. “Y/N, is it okay if i borrow bakugou for a bit?”

the blond nearly winces at the softness, because what the hell he’s still not used to it 🗿

katsuki follows your dad to an empty space, watching him search around the room for something

“what is it?” “i’m going to show you something.”

katsuki just blinks, not sure what’s happening— until he pulls out what looks like a collection of cds, and a mini tv.

he sets it aside first, before he promptly stares at the explosion user for a matter of seconds. this is just him collecting his thoughts.

then, he speaks. “bakugou.” the blond looks up at him in response

“if i told you to break up with Y/N, would you?”

it felt like his heart DROPPED down his stomach, he makes an attempt to not make it obvious, though. “no. i wouldn’t.”

“and why is that?”

“i get it, sort of. you’re her dad, and our homeroom teacher, therefore you have some sorta authority.”

“but questioning her ability of depending on me ain’t right. she can obviously take care of herself, she’s no one to underestimate. ‘m not her fu— damn body guard by any chance, but when it calls for it, i’ll take care of her and make her happy.”

aizawa’s silent, but he looks pleased. “i wasn’t going to ask you to break up with her.”

“but i wanted to show you this.” aizawa plugs in the mini tv, and inserts one of the cds in it

then, a scene of what appears to be 4 year old you in the frilliest dress he’s seen is shown on the mini tv. aizawa raises the volume of the tv slightly

katsuki doesn’t say much. i mean— he’s too busy staring intensely at what’s being shown to him. he’s definitely going to engrave it in his mind

he’s not a fan of kids by any chance, but when he hears the higher pitched voice call for “dad!” and “you’re late for the tea party!” he can’t seem to complain

“it’s cute.” aizawa speaks, “it’s nice to know that there was a time like that.”

it’s almost humorous, seeing his stoic and fatigue teacher adjusting your crooked tiara, while engulfed in pastels—he has to bite the inside of his cheek to prevent himself from laughing

“in this video, she wanted me to make her ‘fairy tea.’ but at the time, i didn’t know what that was, so i gave her actual tea. she didn’t talk to me for a day after that.”

“and in this video, Y/N wanted fairy wings. but it was 1am and the shops were closed, so i ended up searching tutorials on how to make them.”

right now, he just sounded like a dad reminiscing the old, simpler times. it was nice and all but, katsuki had to ask

“why’re you showing me this stuff?”

“why would i not?” he replies, as if it was something he was obviously going to do from the start, “this is important.”

“you know. i didn’t know what to think at first. i was surprised. i knew there was something going on. but i didn’t catch on that the two of you were a.. thing, and i was a little worried about the entire thing.” which is valid on aizawa’s part

“but after last time’s dinner, i figured that i wouldn’t be bothered. i thought you were going to act like this.. polite, cookie cutter standard boyfriend. but you didn’t.”

“you make it sound like a shitty thing.”

“it’s not. don’t worry. the concept of you acting incredibly nice and polite sounds great but, i think it actually unsettles me.” katsuki’s eye twitches, but doesn’t say a thing.

“i’m relieved you didn’t put on a persona, so i want to commend you for that. it says a lot, actually.” aizawa replaces the cd with a new one, “Y/N.. is no longer a toddler. and as much as i want those days to last for an eternity, it wouldn’t be fair if i did that. considering that you’re sincere, and take her as she is, then you have.. my blessing to date her.”

it felt like he was hesitating to say that last part— but at least he can finally breathe “‘course she would.” he mumbles

“thanks.”

“no problem.”

“i appreciate this talk the two of you are having, but when are you going to stop katsuki my embarrassing childhood memories?”

aizawa abruptly turns around, “who says it’s embarrassing?”

“well.. me.”

shinsou hitoshi

from the get go, he always knew about your father-daughter relationship with aizawa shouta— eraserhead, pro hero, and class 1-A homeroom teacher.

if it wasn’t already obvious from the way you, eri, and aizawa were just always together during weekends

you weren’t biologically related to him, but that never made a difference.

on top of that, it wasn’t a secret by any means that your father was his mentor— it was even told to him from the very beginning, and he was just left to deal with it.

it might’ve made things worse in the long run, especially when he developed a crush on you.

that also made it feel like you were completely untouchable— out of his league. he didn’t know how aizawa sensei would react to it, and he didn’t want to try it.

so, he considered drowning it away, and keeping it locked somewhere in his heart

until aizawa shouta himself encouraged him to ask his crush out. “you know, if you like someone— you should ask them out. it’s not good to be suppressing your feelings” is all he ever says

little did he know, hitoshi’s crush was his daughter

the day after he confesses— and ultimately, makes you his lover, aizawa approaches him again

surprisingly, he doesn’t look mad. but he thinks that he rather take mad, than something unreadable.

to hitoshi, that’s a little more worrisome than being angry “so.”

“…so?”

“Y/N. you like Y/N? the same Y/N we know?”

he contemplates if he should be straight up about it, or if he should deny it. but— he decides to admit, after several seconds “…yeah. you did tell me to go for it.”

“i did.” that unreadable look still remains, and it makes hitoshi highkey kinda nervous “i came here to invite you over for dinner. just me, you and Y/N.”

hitoshi gulps, and aizawa almost LAUGHS at how nervous he looks. but, he figures that he shouldn’t thrive off his daughter’s boyfriend’s suffering. “when would that be?”

“today. after school.”

“what?!”

“just kidding. saturday.” is all he says, before he leaves. it already feels like he’s suffering

and that’s was the start of many, many family dinners that included hitoshi.

i think out of all of the three, aizawa’s going to be the most relaxed with shinsou💀 i mean,, he literally trains him. he knows his student’s a good person.

but just because he is a good person, that doesn’t mean he’s gonna make him skip the necessary father boyfriend evaluation

and from the first family dinner, he already knew that he was going to approve of him.

though, pretending like he didn’t have a final thought of him yet was a little too fun— on your dad’s side, not so much on hitoshi’s side of the story.

it’s only after the 5th family dinner, that aizawa makes the big move.

“shinsou, do you want to see something?” is what he asks, after disappearing in his own room— now holding a camcorder

“uh, sure. what is it?” and he starts scrolling through the camcorder, and gestures for him to get closer.

and his teacher just simply shows hitoshi a preview of the contents within the camcorder. hitoshi’s mouth falls in surprise

long story short— they’re video montages from your childhood days, that your dad managed to capture on the very old looking camcorder

“oh jeez. if you’re gonna show hitoshi that, then i’m outta here. this is gonna be embarrassing.” is all you say, not wanting to witness what’s about to happen

but your dad can pretty much disagree. “it’s not at all embarrassing, Y/N. these are memories.” despite that, you fled to the corner of the room to play with eri

while you’re doing that, the fatigue student and teacher tentatively looked through the contents of the camcorder’s gallery

and hitoshi’s still taken aback by how nonchalant his teacher is just,, showing, and telling the backstories of each memory. heck, it probably gave him some whiplash

“in this video, Y/N wanted unicorn cupcakes— so i simply bought a cake that had a unicorn design.”

“then?”

“dad, if you’r—”

“as you can see, it wasn’t what she was looking for. since all she said was ‘dad, this isn’t a unicorn cake. this tastes nothing like one!’” while the two of them were going through each video— hitoshi was rendered speechless.

instead, choosing to have that shit-eating grin of his on display. much to your distaste

“so then i said, ‘Y/N, i don’t know what a unicorn tastes like.’”

“is that why the kitchen looked like.. an icing factory exploded?”

“yes, actually.”

even though your back is turned towards them, you can practically envision that small, yet stupidly authentic grin of hitoshi’s. he’s probably going to hold it above your head for a while

so now, you’re starting to regret those times you made your dad film whatever you were doing at the moment— most importantly, the tea parties.

it feels like an eternity, when your dad starts wrapping things up, the list of things to show to your boyfriend slowly getting shorter

“are you finally satisfied? you’ve basically shown him my entire childhood, plus embarrassing moments.”

aizawa scoffs, there’s not a hint of malice, however. “oh, you’ll live.”

hitoshi stands up, as it’s about time to make his way back home— but aizawa stops him. “i need to tell you something. is that okay?” he looks at him, that unreadable look appears again.

“if it’s another embarrassing thing i did when i was 5–” he turns to you, cutting you off with a simple pat on the head. “no. don’t worry about it, it’ll be quick.”

hitoshi gulps— attempting to swallow down the nervousness that appeared, for probably the 4th time since his arrival in the aizawa home.

he’s brought into the empty hallway, and while that’s happening— the urge to ask why he actually showed him that montage is way too intense to ignore

as if his teacher read his mind, the question was answered immediately “when i was 19, Y/N was put in my care.”

“at first— i wasn’t pleased, as you could imagine. i didn’t know why i was put in that position, and how i was going to take care of a 4 year old. at some point, it was too much for me to handle, and i even considered running away.”

this revelation was one of the many surprises brought to him, nonetheless— he still lets out an extremely surprised “oh.”

“did you try to…?”

he shakes his head, as if it wasn’t totally obvious that he wouldn’t abandon a child

“didn’t, and would never try. because even when things were difficult, Y/N will always be the best thing that’s happened to me— either way, it was something i held above me, since i even thought about it.”

“point is,” he stares straight at the purple haired student, “i trust, and firmly believe that you wouldn’t think about doing that to Y/N, trying to run when it’s hard. that’s why i showed you those memories.”

“i promise.” hitoshi says, without a drop of doubt in his voice.

aizawa smiles, patting him on the back. “Y/N will see you out,”

when hitoshi walks to the door, you’re quick to question. “what did you guys talk about?”

“oh nothing, your highness Y/N fairy princess supreme” he teases, which causes you to burn in embarrassment

“literally shut up!”

holy shit this took me an hour to write lmao oops weird kariya thoughts and hcs under read more (if it works lol rip mobile)

okay so i was thinking earlier about the red skull pins/o-pins in relation to kariya

so we really dont know a lot about him. his motivations aside, we dont know anything about his backstory other than the fact that hes been around for a while. my own hc is that hes been around for a while, like, longer than almost anyone else. (i figure josh, mr. h, and poooossibly megumi have been around longer, but thats about it, as far as the cast that we see.) just bc i really like that idea. its especially hilarious if hes been around longer than konishi bc i feel like thatd piss her off, but also bc i feel like shed lie about it and hed go along, bc he doesnt really care if people know exactly how long hes been a reaper, and in fact, would prefer they didnt

anyways. hes been around for long enough to recognize taboo noise on sight. when uzuki says the opins dont seem to have done anything, he says they're "just a toy." (immediately before getting posessed lol...)

i think itd be interesting if u consider the possibility that something like the opins has happened before. thinking about it - unless he was around before taboo noise were forbidden in the first place (which i. doubt. that seems like an ancient law), he's been around during a coup or something similar before, or at least close enough that he had what taboo look and act like drilled into him.

so - what if he had seen something like opins before? what if hes so confident calling them a toy because he's seen "the real thing," whatever that would actually be.

theres absolutely nothing i think to support this in canon, but i started thinking about it. he's supposed to believe they'll make him stronger. they're mandatory i think...but he seems like the type that wouldnt really...like that. or care about breaking the rules a little, as long as he didnt get caught - and hes stronger than he should be for his rank anyway, so it won't be too noticable to anyone who doesnt know him well that hes not using it.

all of this is to say -

i wonder if he simply wouldnt have used it, if not for uzuki? because once you add her in to the mix of course hed use it. not only bc shed nag at him, but because he wouldnt want to let her down, i think.

sidepoint but i like to think kariya was just vibing before she came along. i cant remember if its actually stated in game that he refused at least one promotion actively to stay with her, but i think even before she was around he probably wouldve done so for other reasons (i do think he doesnt like hard work - but i also think theres more to it. maybe something like being afraid of responsibility, maybe something like he had ambitions once until something. bad happened idk. he also says he just likes to watch people, and i think thats also true - the guy has a lot of motivations is all.). but i think uzuki also brings out the best in him - he doesnt seem to be that against the idea of helping her reform things, for example.

so i guess what im saying is, wouldnt it be just a little bit fucked up? if kariya were trying just a little bit harder lately, to keep up with uzuki? to not just do the bare minimum? because he always cared, but she made him care more again? but that its also possible his trust in her was the "weakness" through which he was taken down by the opins? forcing him into conformity. taking away his greatest strength - the way he plays off of his partner.

idk i went on a whole tangent and this became an entire hypothetical scenario but. here it is. my thoughts from earlier on kariya lmao

nrakich: Yeah, if the national environment is even a bit Republican-leaning, that could be enough to allow solid Republican recruits to flip even Nevada and New Hampshire. And then it wouldnt even matter if Democrats win Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.

One thing is for sure, though whichever party wins the Senate will have only a narrow majority, so I think were stuck in this era of moderates like Sens. Joe Manchin and Lisa Murkowski controlling every bills fate for at least a while longer.;

Its still early and far too easy to prescribe election narratives that arent grounded in anything, but one gambit the Republican Party seems to be making at this point is that attacking the Democratic Party for being too progressive or woke will help them win.

What do we make of that playbook headed into 2022? Likewise, as the party in charge, what are Democrats planning for?

With that being said, the GOPs strategies could still gin up turnout among its base, in particular, but its hard to separate that from general dissatisfaction with Biden.

Georgia’s Brad Raffensperger: National Gop Figures Didn’t Understand Our Laws

But Gabriel Sterling, Georgia’s voting system implementation manager, said on Wednesday that the system is working exactly the way it is intended.

“The irony of saying ‘fraudulent votes have been found’ â he has gained in the finding of these votes,” he said.

Raffensperger has said he’s been pressured by top Republicans to find ways of disqualifying ballots that hurt the Trump campaign.

“They say that as pressure builds, it reveals your character, it doesn’t change your character. Some people aren’t behaving too well with seeing where the results are,” Raffensperger told NPR’s Ari Shapiro on Tuesday.

“At the end of the day, I want voters to understand that when they cast their ballot in Georgia, it will be accurately counted. You may not like the results and I get that. I understand how contentious it is. But you can then respect the results.”

President Joe Bidens path to reelection just got a little harder.

As a result of Census Bureau population figures released Monday, if every state voted the same way in 2024 that they did in 2020, Biden would win three fewer Electoral College votes than he did in November, while the Republican nominee would win three more.

The shift is only a marginal one it would only affect the closest of elections.

But that doesnt mean the new state numbers which are used to apportion the number of congressional districts each state gets, and thus the number of electoral votes wont alter the landscape in 2024 and 2028.

Here are five reasons why:

The gap between the popular vote and the Electoral College is widening.

Biden beat then-President Donald Trump by 74 Electoral College votes. A net gain of six votes for Trump wouldnt have mattered.

But in a close race like the one in 2000, where just five electoral votes separated George W. Bush and Al Gore the re-balancing of the Electoral College could tip the scales.

Thats significant for a party whose presidential candidates have won the national popular vote only once since 1988.

But thats right now.

Voter ID laws which are sculpted to make it harder to vote are wildly popular with voters, according to surveys

Voter suppression has been around for as long as the republic. Stories of subterfuge and ballot box-stuffing schemes are such a part of American political folklore, theres an entire book about them. So in one sense, there is nothing particularly novel about Republican politicians efforts to rig the vote, or the important revelations that rightwing groups and corporate officials are coordinating state-level campaigns to make it harder to vote.

However, a new nugget of polling data illustrates that something more fundamental has happened: voter suppression is no longer a plot engineered in the shadows and denied in public, for fear of criticism by a population that considers such measures grotesque. Instead, voter suppression is having its coming-out party because more and more Americans now consider it to be a perfectly legitimate and even laudable campaign tactic.

The data point comes in a new CBS/YouGov survey, buried under the topline finding that almost two-thirds of Republican voters do not consider Joe Biden the legitimate winner of the 2020 election, despite Bidens electoral college and popular vote victories.

Nearly half of Republicans surveyed supported the latter move, with the strongest demographics in support being female Republicans, non-white Republicans and white Republicans with no college degree.

Biden Avoids The Microscope

Another benefit Biden can enjoy from having his party control both chambers of Congress is that Republican investigatory powers will be greatly diminished. With Democrats in charge of Senate committees, embarrassing and potentially explosive investigations are unlikely to materialise.

Wisconsin Republican Ron Johnson will no longer run the Government Oversight Committee, so his planned forays into Hunter Biden’s China dealings and any connections to the incoming president will go away. The same applies to Lindsey Graham and the Judiciary Committee, which was expected to hold more hearings into the 2016 Russia election-meddling investigation and the origins of Robert Mueller’s special counsel probe.

Any new Democratic scandals that crop up should also avoid a full and potential politically damaging airing – a luxury Trump also enjoyed during his first two years in office and sorely missed during his final two.

Biden Flips Coveted Georgia The Last State To Be Called By The Ap

The full hand recount of the state’s 5 million presidential votes resulted in a narrowing of Biden’s lead over President Trump in Georgia, but not nearly enough to change the result. He started out with a 14,000 vote lead, and now leads by just over 12,000 votes.

The recount, formally known as a risk-limiting audit, is intended to verify the contest’s winner. As Georgia Public Broadcasting’s Stephen Fowler reported, four counties uncovered a few thousand previously uncounted votes, which subsequently cut into Biden’s margin of victory.

Douglas, Walton, Fayette and Floyd counties all experienced issues with missing or unscanned votes related to human error â but the numbers weren’t significant enough to change the outcome of the election.

There is no mandatory recount law in Georgia, but state law does allow for a recount if the margin is less than .5%. It currently stands at .2%.

Republican Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger announced the hand audit last week, citing the close margin of the race.

The four counties with new vote totals must recertify their results. Statewide election results must be certified by Friday. The Trump campaign then has until Tuesday to request an additional recount, which would be by machine rather than by hand.

Trump has repeatedly questioned the integrity of Georgia’s vote counting, it both a “joke” and a process that led to “fraudulent votes” being found.

Redistricting Is The Next Step On A Path To One

The redistricting process kicked off this week in Washington. The Census Bureau released initial data from the 2020 census Monday afternoon, , which means that congressional district boundaries will soon be redrawn to account for changes in population.

These changes will probably tend to benefit the Republican Party, as conservative states will get more seats for instance, Texas will gain two seats, while New York, California, and Illinois will all lose one. Republicans are also certain to use the process to try to gerrymander themselves as many additional congressional seats as possible by leveraging their control of a majority of state legislatures. And that is just the opening tactic in a long-term strategy to abolish American democracy and set up one-party rule.

Today in Michigan, gerrymandering means Republicans enjoy a 3.4-point handicap in the state House and a 10.7-point handicap in the state Senate; in Pennsylvania, it’s a 3.1-point handicap in the House and a 5.9-point handicap in the Senate; and in Wisconsin, a 7.1-point handicap in the House and a 10.1-point handicap in the Senate.

It’s impossible to gerrymander the Senate, of course, but luckily for Republicans that chamber is inherently gerrymandered due to the large number of disproportionately white, low-population rural states that lean conservative. The swing seat in the Senate is biased something like 7 points to the right.

For weeks, Democrats openly worried that Latino voters were not going to show up in force for Gov. Gavin Newsom. That might have spelled doom for the party, which has relied on support from Latino voters to rise to its current grip on power in the state.

But early numbers suggest that it might have been history repeating itself: a late investment in Latino voter outreach, and a late uptick in interest and voting among Latinos. Some Republicans Including Trump Make Baseless Pre

As Election Day dawned in California, some leading Republicans were preparing to declare the results marred by fraud.

Elder had already set up a link on his campaign website to a petition asking the state legislature to investigate voting fraud. In recent interviews he encouraged citizens to report voting issues to his campaign and said a team of lawyers was ready to act if needed.

The pre-election efforts to undermine confidence in the results were led by former president Donald Trump, who sent out a statement Tuesday morning warning of rampant voter fraud. In a Tuesday evening interview on Newsmax, Trump repeated his baseless claims, urging viewers to take a look at whats going on right now in California with the mail-in ballots and all the crap that theyre doing.

Shortly after 1 p.m. Tuesday outside a voting location at the Stanislaus County Fairgrounds in Turlock, Charlotte Dutra, 68, a retired human resources analyst for Turlock Irrigation District, said she is a proud Republican and voted yes to take out.

Dutra said she filled out her recall ballot and dropped it off in person. She said she believes there was fraud in the 2020 election, and shes still skeptical of election integrity in California because the current secretary of state was appointed by the White-privileged Gavin Newsom.

There is no evidence that there was widespread voter fraud in the 2020 election.

Can Pence Affect The Outcome

While Pence has said he welcomes objections to the electoral college count, his role in the processopening envelopes and affirming the victoriesis largely ceremonial.

Last month, Rep. Louie Gohmert, a Republican from Texas, filed a lawsuit in federal court seeking to give Pence the authority to overturn Bidens win, but Pence successfully requested the case be dismissed, with an attorney for the Department of Justice arguing he was not the right defendant.

Newsoms Efforts To Combat Coronavirus Sway Some Voters

In a rapidly gentrifying part of Inglewood, Calif., Gov. Gavin Newsoms imposition of restrictions in response to the coronavirus pandemic swayed some voters as did Republican Larry Elders statements that children do not need to be vaccinated or wear masks.

Keeping a candidate in office thats going to protect health-care workers, protect children, enforce the mask mandate at this point Im on the front lines. I work at UCLA Health in a hospital setting as a manager and am in the thick of it, seeing children get sick, Jolie Emenike, 41, said about the issue that drove her to vote against the recall Tuesday morning.

I was subject to a vaccine mandate when I was younger in Romania. We overthrew our government, but I still have the lasting effects of that mandate, said Sabin, 33. I definitely recalled Gavin Newsom.

Although he called mail-in ballots a massive risk, the software engineer said he trusts the election process.

Im not really sure. You have to trust the people that do the ballots, he said. Ultimately, the people that work in there are people in the community.

Jennifer McCoy, a political scientist at Georgia State University who studies the effects of polarization on democracy, told me that she thought the current emphasis on voter restrictions boiled down to Republicans thinking they could appeal to Trumps base by codifying his baseless claims of voter fraud. know they have to attract Donald Trump supporters who now believe there is fraud, said McCoy. So a large part of the current efforts to change voter laws was a direct response to this last election. Why Are Republicans Fighting So Hard For Georgia

While the presidential election results were full of disappointments for Donald Trump, losing Georgia may have been the unkindest cut.

Like Arizona, the state hadn’t been carried by a Democrat since 1992. But unlike that desert state, Georgia wasn’t considered an electoral battleground until the campaign’s final weeks.

That, along with the narrowness of the Biden lead in the state, may be why the Trump team has fought so furiously to flip the state to his column – even if it means going to war with local Republicans overseeing the state’s election.

The president’s efforts to cast doubt on the results in Georgia are complicated by the fact that the state’s two runoff contests in January will decide control of the US Senate. The more he feuds with his own party in the state, the greater the risk division will lead to Republican defeat.

Trump is making Georgia his first presidential visit since the election. The stated purpose is to campaign for the two Republican incumbent senators, but he is sure to continue to call into question the presidential verdict in the state.

Reversing the election results has proven to be a futile battle, but it seems the only thing worse for this president than actual defeat is appearing to accept it.

Bunni talks about thier cute pets! Cos I’m on such a rune factory hype today I figured I may as well ramble about what monsters I captured, and maybe other stuff about how I personally chose to play the game. I love how there’s so many different ways to play and all different routes to making enough money and exp to progress the main story! Usually in these kinds of games I focus on dungeoncrawling (like i did in stardew valley) but I’m surprised how much I genuinely enjoyed the farming in this game even though it was A HUGE CHORE in stardew! This series is the pinnacle of farming type games in my opinion, it appeals even to non-fans like me!

ANYWAY UMM I LOVE MY MONSTERS I pretty much never take them with me to dungeons, the only time I use dungeon monsters is if I catch them in the current dungeon, then I just send them home and never want them to get hurt ever again. I really REALLY like that the game levels up your monsters with a percentage of your exp even if you dont fight with them! It means you dont lose buddy battle festivals just because you choose to use them for farming instead of fighting. i have like a bazillion monster barns all super maxed out size and i have all my monsters doing the majority of my farming work nowadays except if I need to try levelling up seeds or growing a large crop. I respect them a lot cos theyre doing all this hard work so I’m able to take time off and focus on dating people and saving the world, while still making good money and PP! They save me a lot of time juggling the two sides of the game ^_^ Also I started off wanting to try and catch one of every monster in the game, but it started to become impossible to afford the higher level upgrades to get big enough monster barns to hold them all, cos I was having 90% of my fields taken up by growing enough hay to feed them all. So i sadly had to give up on the idea! But by then i’d grown attatched to a lot of them so I was only able to release the last few newest ones I’d got, I still have like forty of them and only ten of them are actually doing anything :P BUT THEYRE TOO CUTE TO SAY GOODBYE!! Oh and now i am still trying to maybe collect all the ghost types, cos theyre sweetie boops! i really love the design of the spirit types with the flamey body and the jack o lantern face. (funny since theres an ACTUAL jack o lantern type ghost that just has a regular smile) Its a bit of a lazy design choice that all of them are flameballs just recoloured to match the elements tho, i mean why not have them be lil tornados or water droplets with faces? Anyway, my main one is a wind elemental named Gizmo after my rotom in pokemon. She was one of The Saviour Trio, whom I love! They were part of an unusual strategy that helped me powerlevel early on. I would run into a dungeon that was way too high level to be completed right now, and throw all my good cookery items at the first monster i see, hoping I could catch it. Then if I succeeded I would use that monster to beat up all the similarly levelled monsters while my low level self was dying in the background, carrying me thru the dungeon til I’d powered up enough to fight alongside it! ^_^ The initial two I started with were Fester the hammer giant and Atlas the beetle, but when I saw the adorable ghosties I had to catch one and call it gizmo! i actually saw that dungeon’s wind variant ghosties before i met the original fire ones in the actual dungeon I was supposed to go to. Another noteable trio were the first three monsters I caught, who’ve been managing my main farm field ever since. Virion the archer orc, Snap the chipsqueak and Florin the flower thingie! Also Iron the bull, who’s been perpetually useful with how he’s like the only damn way to get milk items, seriously :P Why is milk so sparse in this game :P (tho randomly i do like how this world’s equivelant of cows are like if cows and bulls were merged into one creature. genderfluid bovine! maybe theyre like clownfish) There’s also Silver and Kafka, the two mandatory pets that you get during the various sechs dungeons for some reason. I got particularly attatched to Kafka cos I headcanoned that the monsters trapped in that cage were human test subjects used to develop the rune stone technology that ethelberd uses to steal the dragons’s power. It just seemed like that would be the only reason that this fairy monster can talk when no other ones do. So i kinda treat Kafka like he’s my character’s child, even though he never talks again after you add him to your party I like to headcanon he’s still sentient and part of the family. Oh, and I headcanon he’s a boy cos I didnt know until seeing the monster profile after recruiting the character that the green fairies are meant to be female. None of the other monsters get described as only being one gender except the fairies, if I recall correctly? (and the guardian bosses, but thats understandable considering their origins) So yeah, i kinda made him into an oc and I can imagine him having a gijinka form like the guardians after theyre purified? but fairy type monsters already look pretty humanoid and if I made them any more so then they’d just look exactly like amber. So maybe if I draw him as an oc I’d change what kind of monster he is and try drawing a gijinka of that? Maybe merge some of my monsters together and do a gijinka of the wind ghosties or the dead tree thing? SPEAKING OF WHICH I LOVE MY NEWEST TEAM MEMBER russel the tree ghost boss character!! he is so huge and so powerful!!! I love him!! I was so pleasantly surpised to find out I could catch boss monsters!! I think he’s the best one ive got so far, cos the second bosses in each guardian dungeon were kinda ones that didnt have any plot or anything, so i feel more like i can make ocs of them. it was weird how they just came out of nowhere to have ane xcuse for the revisit quests to have a boss battle too. Extra weird cos you can still rematch the guardian bosses once per day anyway. anyway my oc thoughts for russel is that he is Large but very kind and gentle and shy and cries whenever he hurts the smaller peoples. He is a quiet gardener who likes to bake apple pies for people. (”This apple was grown from my flesh!” *sunny smile*) So he’s kinda like a more socially anxious Amber? I was thinking if he got to turn into a human with a tragic past like how the first four bosses did, he would be a big bara love interest guy cos he’s like the largest boss character model. And cos shy kind baras are some of my fave love interests! (I am SO excited to marry benny in Fe Fates whenever i finally get that game!) I was thinking maybe he could have dark skin and have some bright shoulder tattoos that look all flowery like the apples he had as a tree. And maybe he sprouts flowers from his shoulders when he blushes! Or maybe has a flower on the top of his head? But I like the idea of him having very big hair of some sort, to tangeantally resemble a tree. Maybe a handsome afro, or maybe very long very soft flowing rapunzel hair, or maybe very non-bishie scruffy hair that he can never tame? Or maybe he’s bald and has a long beard... Anyway he would be very cute and I think he’d be a fan favourite.

I got measles, as a 22 -year-old, in my first week of moving to London . i>

I’d previously lived up north, and on my first day of cultivating immediately after finishing uni, I embarked feeling lethargic. By the second date, I seemed pretty bad but soldiered on.

Third day, I began taking( moderately successful) drugs for the remainder of the week. Saturday, accompanied a local fair, after taking my morning painkiller . i>

Had a bottle of beer with my daddy and appeared really strange afterward, almost floaty but in a kinda bad behavior . i>

Chose to stop participate in the anaesthetics, woke up with a raging delirium and intense coughing on Sunday.

Hobbled out of plot, experiencing dizzy and gruesome and acknowledged in the mirror of the lavatory that I looked like an Oompa Loompa( ruby-red splotchy rash all over ). i>

My stair mum had been seeming same indications that week, she decided to call an ambulance, who checked both of our modes and turned out I had a raging( 41 c) fever and low-toned oxygen.

They took me to A& E and I was impart fluids via a dribble.

Later, my step mum came in and was given the same medication; medical doctors on call said it’d likely be a general viral illnes . i>

At dwelling, took the week off piece and recovered. Step mum took off 2 week. She went back to A& E a got a couple of eras after; medical doctors on duty immediately recognise that it was measles.

Pedestrian was hit by my car while crossing a road located within a private property (a community college) in Brampton, Ontario (Canada) 2. I was in no position to clearly see the pedestrian in advance as the pedestrian suddenly appeared from behind the huge pile of snow on the side of the road. The pedestrian was walking from the parking lot and came onto the road from a blind spot. 3. I was driving at 30kms/hrs and saw the pedestrian just before I hit the pedestrian. 4. The pedestrian was NOT using the designated pedestrian crosswalk but was jaywalking on the road in attempt to cross the road. 5. I applied brakes as soon as I saw the pedestrian on my way but the pedestrian got hit by the time finished applying the breaks. I think my car came in contact with the pedestrian when the car had almost stopped possibly causing the minimum impact. Pedestrian seemed to be all right (not injured) but was slightly in pain due to the hit as my car hit her in the thigh. She did not fall down and was still able to walk (but was crying due to the shock) 6. I called 911 (both cops and ambulance) and they didnt charge me with offence. 7. The Police Officer concluded that it was not my fault after he confirmed with the witnesses that I actually tried to stop the car and that the pedestrian was jaywalking and not using the pedestrian walk for cross the road. The cop mentioned that I would have been charged if I were not driving on a private property. The building security also concluded that I was not at fault. 8. The police accident report makes no mention of my fault. 9. The paramedics concluded that pedestrian was not injured and was all right but they took her to the hospital anyway (for check up since the pedestrian seemed to have some pain in the thigh) My question is Although, I was not ticketed or charged, would MY INSURANCE GO UP? I have heard that Insurance companies are notorious and would hold you responsible anyways or may hold you partially at fault?""

Suspended liscense and car insurance?

So in two more months my license suspension will be over from a dui. First of all the type of dui that I got from what I've been told isn't as bad as the real one seeing as I got a dui for blowing a 0.3 but being under 21 makes it illegal at any alcohol level. My dui is considered and infraction so no criminal record but still not sure if this goes in my driving record. When I get my license back and look for car insurance will I have to pay extra for insurance for having a dui infraction?

Why do companies that claim to offer them the best insurance quotes sell leads?

I was shopping around for insurance quotes on my home and cars. Many of the websites that I came across claimed to offer the best quotes from different companies thereby getting me the best price. I started filling out a few forms and, for once, I decided to read the fine print ( you know that small font form we all click agree on). Basically what I found was that the company used 4 agencies that paid them to contact me. What the site was trying to advertise to me was that i would have he best possible quote in the world without having to call up the many insurance agencies around me individually. In reality the fine print ( which in the case of the Internet can be 25 clicks hidden) states that they offer quotes from companies that pay them. Why not state that the information I'm giving them is a lead and that people that get it pay for my information and those that don't do not get it. What about some insurance company that can't afford to pay for my information but can offer me cheaper insurance than those that do pay hat site? I wouldn't be so ticked off if these sites simply stated that they sell our information. Rather than try to make it seem as they find you the best price. Ok, so as the title says, i got 2 speeding tickets in 1 day. Yes that was stupid, i know. I am really worried. one is a $205 fine, the other $110 both for speeding 15 mph over.
