So Stranger Things: The Other Side is a beautiful comic book, but also, I know it’s like. Not canon, persay, but like.
That Jaws poster stands out quite a bit
And it’s really interesting that that book has a title
And that’s an angle with a sword and the colour scheme of the upside down is blue and misty and we never see will go to sleep, or have any inclination that he’s there for a week from his perspective
And here’s the hawks poster again, and wills flannel is red and yellow striped, and the radio turns on when Will is near it
And this fog looks like the same stuff that was there when El defeated Vecna and the Creel house dissolved - and those black panels look like the water/mind plane El enters when she’s finding people
And that sword outside of castle byers is meant to be noticed, and El has blue and pink colours around her. And Will and El are both kinda in the fog/made of fog
And Will says, “I want him to live forever” in a memory with Mike in the library. And the mind flayer doesn’t want to kill Will, just everyone else. And then it says, “Will finally regains his senses”
And then there’s this. And this looks a lot like Henry’s memories/backstory explaination when he was sent to the upside down and found the mind flayer in the first place and I’m not sure when the last issue came out or if we’ve seen the upside down like this before Henry?
We’ve just been talking a lot lately about Will in the upside down and season 1. And then we were talking about Will seeing the upside down as blue, and that’s continued here. And then contrasted to the orange/mind flayer panel/page. And well. I don’t know, really, but a lot of this stuff seems to match up with what we’ve been talking about?
Because here it doesn’t seem like Will was there for a week, or even that he was ever in castle byers. It’s all really weird and there’s no explanation for how he got to the library, but it does say that he comes to his senses? So it’s just weird. But also really pretty and if you can read it you should because its beautifully drawn and written.

i feel like a lot of the 'i hate kids' crowd would be more tolerant if they understood that due to a kid's limited experience of the world that 4 hour flight might just be the longest they've ever had to sit still for or that trapped finger might literally be the most pain they've ever felt in their short life or they might not have ever seen a person with pink hair ever so of course they want to touch it or nobody's told them yet that they can't run around the museum and they only just learned cheetahs are the fastest animals so of course they want to put that to the test. how were they supposed to know etc etc.
