Have you thought about in-universe explanations for why Crowfeather (infected king!) was the only member of the Sundrown patrol to receive an Honor Title? Especially Tawnypelt, because I recall you mentioning she was leading the patrol at one point! In a perfect world I imagine they'd probably all get one, but I figure you can't just go around changing major character's names willy nilly like that.
In a perfect world the names would all become Honor Titles but yeah I try to avoid renames. I COULD be convinced to giving Tawnypelt an Honor Title though.
If I gave her an honor title it would be something like Tawnytreader, Sunsetchaser, or Sunsetter. It's in reference to how she eventually leads the Great Journey west through the mountain, towards the setting sun INSTEAD of directly North to the Lake, so that the Clans could meet with and get supplies from the Tribe of Rushing Water. Her leadership of the Sundrown Patrol and leading the Clans during the Great Journey makes her an immediate hero.
Brambleclaw probably gave up his Honor Title purposefully. He hesitated when Firestar was in the snare, and Mothwing leapt out of a bush to free the dying leader. He's ashamed of his inaction, so I think it's actually very poignant of him to say;
"I understand why you're taking away my deputyship... may I also ask for you to take this title from me?"
"But why, Northheart? You want to become Brambleclaw again?"
"...I was happy to have broken from his legacy, at first. But now I don't think I ever will. I think I need to be reminded of where I came from, or else I'll put it too far behind me."
Like, really drive home that what I'm doing here with Bramble is a tragedy. Everyone WANTS him to get better, to be good at self-reflecting and make good choices. They want so badly for him to break free of his father's association and be a positive representation of his powerful bloodline. Be he never does.
It doesn't bring him joy to be the way he is. And there's times he's so, so close to realizing that he should stay away from power. But time and time again, GIVING him that power is a mistake, and on his end, he always takes it.
"Northheart" isn't as punchy as it could be though. I have to think about it...
(Especially since I like how in canon, the "bramble claws protect the camp" prophecy could have applied to Thornclaw just as well. Maybe I'll change it so it could have applied to Brackenfur somehow)
Small recap: after their deaths, every member of the patrol is exalted and will become Directional Patrons. The two tagalongs also get associations.
Tawnypelt: West, towards the Ocean
Crowfeather: East, towards the Wilderness
Brambleclaw: North, towards the Lake
Feathertail: South, towards the Tribe
Stormfur: Patron of those who Leave (he is not joining StarClan though, these prayers go, symbolically, unanswered.)
Squirrelflight: Patron of Missions, most often invoked for Salt Patrols.
Stormfur didn't get a title because the leader at the time was Leopardstar. She wasn't very reverant of the mission to begin with, and Stormfur never returns to RiverClan after she let him be exiled by the False Sign.
Squilf actually does have an Honor Title-esque name in Clanmew! It's Pishkafsheek; "Red Squirrel Soars (like a bird of prey)." "Sheek" isn't regularly used to describe prey movements.

What gets me about (adult) warriors fans and abuse being RIGHT IN THEIR FACE is just. How they justify it. This is about Squirrelflight and Breezepelt specifically because that one post you reblogged reminded me of how you have to be the perfect victim to earn the award of a shred of sympathy from people, and EVEN THEN it’s with a raised brow.
“Yeah well you see he was a bad child so can we really blame Crowfeather being cold towards him?” As if affection and love are conditional things that should be earned with good behavior. And the blatant disregard for Crowfeather HITTING Breezepaw will never not make my blood boil. So what he was being mouthy?? Your point?? HE WAS A KID
“Yeah but Squirrelflight gets an attitude with her mate sometimes so you see he HAS to punish her. Him publicly humiliating her at every chance he gets and treating her worse than an apprentice is actually something she brought on herself by not just sitting there and being nice to him.” Mhm. Mhm.
Literally!! No Breezepelt did not deserve to be hit as a kid because he was "mouthy". No, Squirrelflight does not deserve to be humiliated and degraded because she challenged Bramblestar. These two should not have to quietly take this treatment and stroke their abusers' egos to "deserve" sympathy and compassion.
The books do a garbage ass job of portraying these dynamics, don't get me wrong, but there is a unique frustration in the way people will invent reason after reason to insist these two deserve to be hurt in some way. Very frustrating.

For my catch-up for today I decided to do another Writer's Choice pick! Await for the second one I'm doing to cover for the ficlet meant for today.
I was reminded about one of my current WIPs and how I was deliberating about whether or not I wanted to take the evil meddie Hawkfrost idea for a spin once again or not. I have decided to do a test ride with him within this universe to see how I feel. Although I decided to take another character to focus on for the third person limited narrative instead of him.
LeafHawk enjoyers rejoice!
(Want a chance to have your prompt be written? Check out my guidelines and send one in! November's still young, only about a third of the way in so far.)
“Something’s troubling you, my chub,” Hawkfrost said as he groomed behind Leafpool’s ear.
Snapping back to attention, the tabby molly saw her own reflection on the gently rippling waters of the lake’s shallows. With the moon as her backdrop she could see the handsome face of her suitor pressed gently against her fuller features. Soon he returned to deep concentration, awaiting for the minnows to gather once again to show her the technique with which he hooked them to his claws.
Hawkfrost had taken her to a a spot where Mistyfoot rarely sent patrols. And in case they got caught he had an excuse prepared. Leafpool had been sent by StarClan to tell Hawkfrost about a rare herb growing in this new territory. And he just had to be taught how to locate it and identify it next time, since Mudfur’s death left them so ill prepared you see!
“So, what is it?” Hawkfrost pressed.
“No, it’s not really anything important--”
As the perfect chance for a catch presented itself he immediately went into alert, his tail twitching behind him as he narrowed his eyes and hooked his claw against his catch with perfect timing. He laid it at Leafpool’s feet and pushed her into him as he stroked her side with his tail. “If it keeps distracting you so much we really can’t continue with your fishing lesson. Better to get it out of your mind so we can carry on.”
She frowned looking down at her paws. ThunderClan’s drama really wasn’t Hawkfrost’s issue to be prying into. Plus it was really just kind of petty. Already Leafpool was feeling silly for how much she’d let it seep into her thoughts. It ate at her how much she was feeling like she was being much too hasty in her judgement, surely if Squirrelflight--
“Or we could just head back to our camps,” Hawkfrost said rather non-chalant, sweeping his tail away from Leafpool and starting to stretch from his sitting position to be on the move.
“Wait!” Leafpool immediately blurted out. “I’m not... I’m sorry I’m not paying attention. It’s just that...”
“Your sister or your father?” he mewoed simply.
“How--”
“Chub, they’re the only ones you get so worked up about,” he replied. “And I can tell it probably is pretty serious. Just tell me, maybe if I can’t give you some advice just thinking about it out loud will help out with whatever your concern is.”
“It’s Squirrelflight,” she confirmed. “This suitor that’s recently been pursuing her... Something about him just doesn’t feel right. They used to be friends as kits but then he got a really nasty leg injury in the journey here and the way he speaks to her nowadays... he’s so rude to her but when I tell her she just won’t listen. ”
“Is it the gray spotted one?” Hawkfrost ventured.
“What?” Leafpool mewed as she ran the possible cats that could refer to through her head before shaking her head. “Oh, no, no, no. Ashfur’s just a friend, and he’s much too older than us anyway. He’s actually Shrewheart’s uncle, her mother’s littermate. How did you come to that conclusion anyway?”
“The way that Ashfur looks at her just gave me a feel,” he replied. “I’ve seen him at a few gatherings before. Next time we’re there under the Great Oak I can show you what to look out for.” Hawkfrost settled from his stretch into a more comfortable laying down position with his paws touching the water as it lapped at the shore. “And this Shrewheart, what does he say to Squirrelflight?”
“Mostly just makes jabs at her, wallows in self-pity, and complains about how she ‘left him behind’,” she said. “I mean, what was she supposed to do? She was going on a quest for StarClan’s sake! They weren’t even mates or anything at the time. Even if it wouldn’t outweight a quest if she did, she had no obligation to him. ”
“Some cats just have a warped sense of what loyalty is supposed to mean,” Hawkfrost mused. “But if Squirrelflight is not listening why waste your breath? Don’t gift your most prized shell to a boar.”
“Maybe you’re right,” Leafpool replied. “That’s a good one you fish-faces came up with, mind if I take it?”
“All yours, my chub,” he said. “I feel like you of all cats around the lake will get a lot of use out of it.”
“For my sake let’s just hope not,” she replied with a purr.

Squirrelflights hope in a nutshell
(spoilers and trigger warning obviously)
Squirrelflight gets Domestically abused for the 3rd time
4 of the clans don't accept other religions and literally colonized them to the extent of killing a nursing mother
Squirrelflight is right once again, is she ever wrong really
Starclan has to decide whether Squirrelflight and leafpool deserve to be in starclan but let Ashfur, who tried to kill firestar and a bunch of innocent children all because he couldn't get some coochie, into starclan ( I haven't read the broken code yet but thanks to spoilers I already know this one was a bad idea)
The cycle of domestic abuse starts again because Squirrelflight felt bad for her mate.
Skyclan yet again has a soul and took in people who were forced from their home and fed infant children whose mother was killed by the cruelty of colonizing
All of this could've been avoided if people waited for a goddamn month and a half.
If you don't believe the clans were colonizers here your just lying to yourself
-
In long this book was one of the worst experiences I've had reading something.
Tw again for my personal experience with domestic abuse and spottedleafs heart is mentioned
Squirrelflights experience in her abusive relationship reminds me of when I was forced to live with my mom and her girlfriend who verbally abused me while mom sat and watched. when I left the house she threatened to call the cops on me, and I knew it wouldn't do anything because I'm 18 and can leave
I ended up leaving and living with my grandparents and at therapy the following week she tried to guilt trip me into living there again, i didn't listen
when my therapist tried explaining my autism to her She acted like she knew more than the therapist who studies it and got mad when it didn't define what she believed autism looked like than barged out.
Mom took me back to my grandparents and i never went back, I'm a much happier person out of that place and reading this book was hard because I was brought back to those memories of it
And the literal colonization of a group of cats minding their own business is so hard to read too, cats willing to kill a expecting mother and her children is actually evil and I'm glad the clans were in the wrong here, not even starclan is in the right here to act like sitting by and watching innocent cats get killed was okay
Only skyclan Squirrelflight and leafpool were good people
skyclan and was in the right because they didn't want to get involved in harming these cats
Squirrelflight was in the right because she didn't want anybody to harm them and stood up for them even when nobody liked her
And leafpool was in the right for saving cats from outside of the clans one who was heavily wounded and helping another when she was having trouble with kitting even when her leader told her not to
It reminds me of a post I made this week
Of Squirrelflight telling the clans to accept other religions and other ways of life and the cats saying " it's my way or the highway"
Sometimes I hate these books, my reason for why I keep reading them, I wanna see how deep the rabbit hole goes and how bad these books can get.
Squirrelflights hope is going behind sunrise and right in front of spottedleafs heart right now on books I've read, oh trust me I intend to review spottedleafs heart, I just have to bring myself to actually re read that horrific event of glorified pedophilia which makes her character more disgusting if we count it as cannon

Just read Sky, and here are some quick thoughts
I actually liked this book more than I was expecting
I really liked how political it was — every POV character was grappling with politics in some capacity
I loved seeing the rise of factionalism in ShadowClan
It was interesting to me that the main traditionalists were two family groups that were both hit hard by the events of the previous two arcs (Berryheart, Yarrowleaf, and Snowbird, especially, are a family who lost several members as a direct result of the Kin in AVOS, and more still due to interfering with the Ashfur situation in TBC)
They have a good reason to oppose outsiders entering ShadowClan, but that doesn’t make them right
Berryheart is a special kind of crazy, straight up yelling at her leader
I loved all the drama in RiverClan and Mothwing trying desperately to hold the Clan together
There’s definitely some shady shit going on with Splashtail, and probably others too
I hate Tigerheartstar, but I really like that he’s being pushed toward tyranny by a dangerous combination of grief, ego, and his power as a Clan leader
I can’t wait to see where this all goes
Oh and somethings up with Bramblestar
Again
I also really liked that Frostpaw doesn’t really have a connection to StarClan
Also lmao poor Owlnose
Nightheart and Sunbeam are both very annoying to me, but I feel like their POV chapters perfectly encapsulates what it’s like to be a teenager, which is the target audience
Both of them are petty and insecure, and they actively encourage the worst in each other, but they’re terrible in a way that’s realistic to teenagers
Nightheart specifically reminds me of myself in high school (please bear in mind, I’ve now graduated from college)
His eagerness to prove himself and frustration with not being taken seriously is unfortunately relatable
Actually what I like about Nightheart’s POV is that he’s a great example of an unreliable narrator
Like you can see how he comes to the conclusion that he’s being given apprentice tasks because everyone doubts him and he failed his assessment twice, and his insecurity makes him angry and bitter, which makes him snotty and withdrawn from everyone, which makes people dislike him (for valid reasons)
And all of that feeds his victim complex, so he digs himself deeper and deeper into his hole of self-pity
Honestly, it seemed to me that everyone’s reaction to Nightheart’s dramatics was totally reasonable
Thriftear and Flipclaw teased him all in good fun, but he saw it as making fun of him and doubting him
Squirrelflight reprimanded him for disobeying her and going to ShadowClan because it was a dangerous move, both politically and literally, but Nightheart took her reprimand personally because of his insecurity
Not to mention, he’s given apprentice tasks because he’s the youngest warrior and there aren’t any apprentices, but again, his anger and insecurity makes him take it as an insult
And honestly, it seems more like he’s the one constantly comparing himself to Firestar than his Clanmates do
Also, it seems like Nightheart expects special treatment from Squirrelflight and Bramblestar and is offended when they don’t give it to him
Reading from an outside perspective, it’s painfully obvious that Nightheart himself is the root of all his problems, but I can empathize with him because I too have been an angsty teenager who felt like it was me against the world (especially within my family)
I think the most interesting part of Nightheart’s POV by far was getting caught in the crossfire of his grandparents’ fucked up relationship
Also dear god Bramblestar and Squirrelflight are back at it again PLEASE JUST BREAK UP WITH HIM SQUILF YOU DESERVE SO MUCH BETTER
Sunbeam also gives massive teen vibes, due to her petty drama with Lightleap
Literally only a high schooler would think “wow my ex-bestie is grieving for her little brother… too bad we’re not friends anymore and it’s not my problem!“ but then get jealous that she’s not the one comforting her friend
I really think Sunbeam and Nightheart won’t work out, just like a typical teen romance
Nightheart is using Sunbeam as an escape from his problems in ThunderClan, but he’ll realize that HE is the problem when the same things happen to him in ShadowClan
Not to mention that Nightheart doesn’t seem to REALLY want Sunbeam as a mate — he’s latching onto her as an opportunity to leave ThunderClan because she’s the only cat who puts up with him
Sunbeam is using him as a rebound — she doesn’t really like him, she just likes that he likes her
I think that this relationship has the potential to be great for both characters’ development, but only if it doesn’t work out
Please Erin’s I’m begging you don’t fuck this up I like where you’re going with this arc PLEASE don’t write another BristleRoot or turn this into the second half of AVOS

I love and heavily relate to Nightheart because of how much he reminds me of how I used to be from like 14-16. I genuinely do not think that I have ever found a fictional character to be more relatable before, for better or worse! A lot of this may be from the fact that I heavily relate towards his identity + name change issues (I am FTM trans so I’ve been through similar) and in my perspective I really do believe that he’ll come to realize later in the arc that part of his issues are his OWN fault - he’s pushed everyone away and then wallows in his own self-pity, not realizing that he’s gotten himself into this in the first place. He keeps taking out his insecurities onto others, believing that the world is out to get him - IE thinking Squirrelflight, Flipclaw, Thriftear, Finleap, Brightheart, etc are all purposely trying to hurt him when they’re… clearly not. He even gets defensive when Sunbeam calls him by his old name without possibly having known any better. Although I do think that Sparkpelt’s actions at the beginning of Sky in particular are pretty questionable… very guilt-trippy and manipulative, I guess? But other than that and Myrtlebloom’s off-handed snarky comment, nobody is really attempting to target him at all. They don’t understand WHY he wants to carve out his own identity within the clan, and he’s too insecure about it to actually explain the situation to his clanmates in a reasonable manner. He thinks that he has a deeper kinship with Bramblestar due to their similar identity struggles and such, but all Bramblestar does with this trust is use it to get back at his wife for some petty reason - which is quite sad, really. I genuinely believe that the point of Nightheart’s character is to start out highly insecure, rash, and defensive as he’s figuring himself out on the inside, and will develop into a much better person once he’s done so and can learn to be happy within his own skin. In this case, I actually would have to say that I think some of the transgender undertones were intentional on the writing teams’ part - obviously we won’t get an openly transgender character in the series, but I do feel like there are some underlying themes in Nightheart’s story that definitely parallel transgender peoples’ experiences a bit too much to be a coincidence. Maybe this is a bit of my own bias speaking here, but he reads as very much transmasc / FTM to me personally. I don’t think any of this justifies his behavior / the rashness of his actions, of course, but I think that’s the point. He’ll (hopefully) be able to carve out his own identity and life in ShadowClan without constantly feeling as if he’s in Firestar’s shadow, and he’ll learn and grown because of it. At least, that’s my interpretation of how things are most likely to play out - and how I HOPE it plays out, because that would send a really good message to the audience out there. It took me way too long within my own life to realize that it was me pushing everyone around me away and not the other way around, so I would hope that these books can help show people that they’re not always in the right, even if it might feel that way in the given time - and that it’s okay to recognize that fact and learn from it. Sorry for the rambling, I just really wanted to share my perspective on this!
Ooo this is a really interesting take, n ur opinion is totally valid!! And tbh I agree w u about relating to Night, bc i see some of my worst traits in him too, especially when I read river for the first time KWJW those feelings kinda faded w this book, w all the weird stuff goin on, but yah I get what u mean. Also yeye im trans too, and I can see some of the stuff ur talking abt n how trans ppl can connect to nights character.
And same I really really hope nightheart has a character arc or smth and the narrative realizes he’s in the wrong and makes him take responsibility and figure out his issues so he can be his own cat n understand where his family and tc clanmates r comin from!! Erins please don’t make us have read nighthearts misery hour chapters for an bummer ending AA the idea for like an unreliable narrator and pov who’s in the wrong is rlly interesting in concept but the way the Erin’s have been executing it is rlly weird n insufferable 2 me oof JWJW Erins please have ONE writer who knows what their doin!!
Was cool to hear ur thoughts about night :0 this makes me reconsider him a little JWJW picks him up by the scruff n shakes him, kitty u would be so much better if anyone else wrote you

Okay I'm not the original MTF Fernsong/FTW Twigbranch anon but that anon gave me a reminder knock on the head as to why the headcanon was so icky to me this entire time I've been in the fandom for years and why I don't HCs those two characters as such ever. It feels... stereotypical in a way? It enforces the idea that women (including transwoman given context) all want to work with children and that men don't when that is not even the case and varies from case to case so it has levels of sexism and maybe even transphobia in it. Not all trans women want to care for kids and not all trans men are severely uncomfortable with the idea of having kids. It varies from case to case both for trans and cis instances. Like I think you don't even need to be trans to see the weirdness in the hcs with these two specific characters (I say that because I like HCs like MTF Sandstorm and Squirrelflight who I see as trans queens sometimes and FTM Shrewpaw and whatnot, but they don't have sexist reasons for the hcs, it's just I really like the idea of those). (And the anon already spoke about people only hcing him as such because they badly want Ivypool to be a lesbian still even though she can be bi with no issue if they hate the idea of her being straight (I disagree with that being a bad thing because otherwise it stereotypes her more but whateves). But then if you don't see her as a lesbian and pair her with a man whatsoever people will get shit for doing it. I'm not calling myself a fandom rebel but I see IvyFern as a bi4bi couple because it works imo. Anyways, Ivypool rant done.)
But yeah I wanted to say that, this came out way better in my head but hopefully people know what I mean and hopefully I worded this right. x.x Basically I really wouldn't have an weird ickiness with MTF Fernsong or FTM Twigbranch hcs at all if the reason they are commonly HC'd as such was completely separate from the well-meaning but sexist undertones, but, especially with Fernsong, that is the common "reasoning" for the hcs.

How does the afterlife work here?
Aaaa yes I needed this. I’ve just been going through the family tree and needed something else to chew on.
So the afterlife. I have many thoughts about it. It’s very Christian, heaven and hell which I don’t really care for? I mean a cat being thrown to permanent starvation all alone (if before po3 atleast) in a gross constantly changing forest. Especially since we’ve seen how the council can be incredibly swayed and unfair. Also the fact there’s literally no chance at redemption even for the cats who were far more innocent than cats like Mapleshade or Brokenstar. And then cats like Ashfur being barely tried to get into paradise while Squirrelflight almost is sent to the DF. It’s just icky to me and very very unfair I don’t care for it. I can’t completely scrap it though. Plus it can be interesting if tweaked a tad.
Onto ATOT’s afterlife. I’m keeping their starry paradise tho im changing its name, and the DF is staying it’s very changed. But I’m adding another place, the between. Cats who are unable to be properly sentenced or haven’t accepted where they themselves should go will be sent to the between (for canon reference Onestar would’ve gone here to reflect).
The Starlit Plane
Similar to canon Starclan the Starlit is a paradise where the clique cats reside in. While it is a reflection of the biomes below them it is not the same and has sections for each proffered place, riverlands, forests, pines, and valleys. To the left of the paradise is a mountain rage that glitters as if made of solid quartz, snow capping the tops making it shine even more. From the mountain a river slices through and goes down until it creates the pool which the starlit cats use to see into and visit the living world. All cases where the council has to weigh where a cat should go is done around the pool, and if agreed that the cat is to go to the starless they are pushed into the pool.
Spirits are much the same except I’m adding a few of my favorite hc’s into them. All spirits have a central star in their pelt and this will be brighter or darker depending on the cats morality, Firestar would have a blazing white one while Leopardstar would have a very dull almost black star. Leaders who have lost lives but not all of them will have a ghostly version of themselves in the Starlit, though it’s lifeless and just lays near the pool until their last soul is completely used up. Whatever caused a cats death is also reflected in their pelt, a wound filled with stars, sickness reflected by herbs around their throat, old age reflected by the cats silver hair bright to show their age.
The Starless Plane
I am changing the DF a lot. It’s a marshy forest instead, the trees dead, thorns everywhere, water so dark it looks as if it could swallow a cat. There is a sun and moon but both are red and the only light they give of feels like the sharp gaze of something watching them, reminding them of their crimes that lead them here. The forest is always in a winter state and the pool on their side is frozen to block off any stray spirits from escaping their realm.
Similarly to my Starlit cats they also have certain features to mark them as dead, though Starless cats are a lot more monstrous. Those who were sentenced here for bloodshed are permanently stained with the blood of their victims, a sickly reminder of what they did. The wounds or reason for their death is similar as well to their starlit counterparts except it’s always open and oozing. But for a more monstrous take the cats will have unnatural features, horns or plants, hooves, fangs, all as ways to push them even further from their starlit foe. While it’s rarely happened cats who have redeemed themselves will keep some of their monstrous features but any open wounds will stitch up.
The Between and Past
The in between is a idea I really like. It is a a seemingly endless space area of water. Lily pads and aquatic plants dotting the surface shift depending on a cats progress in acceptance, blooming when they do. While a cat can wade through the expanse to think if they sink in they’ll fall into their memories. They can relive their mistakes and past over and over until they finally come to a point where they find peace. The between is entirely chosen by a cat and no cat can be sentenced there. To get to it a cat will sink into the pool like they’d be going to the starless but instead they’d wake up in the between.
A cat who is using the pool to travel to the living plane will be stripped of almost all of their features, as the living cannot see them truly for who they are. While some cats can recognize a cat most do not and will just see these mysterious starry figures in their dreams.

“Why would he actually act differently if his partner was different?” Uhm because he’d be with someone he actually wanted to be with?! Don’t get me wrong, the way he acted with Night and Breeze wasn’t good, but when you look at the context that he was in a relationship he didn’t want and his child was a reminder of the unhappy life he’d been forced to accept every day, it’s not defending his behaviour but it’s a reason that he was so distant from both. Now imagine him in an accepted relationship with Leaf or Feather, the people he actually wanted to be with, it’s not exactly hard to understand why that’s a different situation. Yes, Crow’s a grumpy guy, but if he had legit feelings for his mate, he’d be happier with the situation and would probably actually want the kits he got from them. That’s where the more positive Crow dad comes from. It’s harsh I know, but that’s the case. This isn’t difficult to understand. If you had genuine feelings for two people and ended up with someone you didn’t actually like in the end, it’s not hard to see where the bitterness comes from. People are people, yes, but situations mean everything. In the end, a child in a loving marriage is going to grow up better than a child in a loveless marriage. I get that you’re on some Crowfeather hate train but come on, you do need to actually think.
yes, different scenarios/partners = different behavior. im not saying otherwise? i'm saying that, in canon, crowfeather displays very poor parenting skills for a variety of reasons. not all of these poor parenting skills can be entirely blamed on the situation, and some might carry into situations where he is perfectly happy with his mate and kits.
saying that crowfeather would have been a perfectly fine father otherwise just really feels like putting a great deal to even all of the blame on nightcloud and/or a nightcloud-mothered-breezepelt (and thus all the traits he got from his mother. if he was just not like nightcloud and more like leafpool/feathertail/squirrelflight then crowfeather could have loved him which, yknow, maybe is true, but just kind of glossed over and sugar-ized in these kind of aus).
also, while certain societal pressures may have led to him getting with nightcloud, but he was not forced into the relationship. nor was he forced to have breezepelt.
and, no, i don't hate crowfeather. i actually really do like his character, and i enjoy the complicated mess that is the crow/night/breeze family. this is more just... thoughts on fandom treatment of male characters, and how it reflects on female characters.

i saw that ask about cannon ships chem and i realized that the bramble abusing squilf thing is kinda sorta pointed out. But its kinda in a heavily implied, if you squint and tilt your head you can see it kind of way. Like how in the newest arc, every time Bramble and squilf, mostly her, gets brought up, she is Miserable. She is the most depressed she's ever been and Night is constantly kinda going, huh she's in a bad mood again today too, maybe it was brambles fault. Something i noticed also is that i dont remember a single scene of her in the recent books where she wasnt tired and miserable, kinda reminds me of bluestar towards the end of her life but that phase was split between her and bramble.
I'm not holding my breath, but if ASC continues the quality of the past two books, and is actually doing set up that it is planning pay off for, I think this time we might actually get the narrative finally SAYING that Bramblestar is abusive
Because they’ve written Bramblestar making a perfect, textbook example of an abusive "set-up," a situation where Bramble makes a decision that Squirrelflight HAS to defy, so that he can shout at her for it when she inevitably does.
I keep having people show up in my replies to try to tell me, “Oh he has dementia and he doesn’t actually know what he’s doing,“ and... listen, if you really believe that a person with a well-documented abusive past is just accidentally falling backwards into setting up his wife so he can publicly humiliate her, both able to HATCH plans but also MENTALLY INCAPABLE of understanding the consequences, then maybe you are the one with dementia
He tells her not to bother WindClan over the vole. Clan politics means that Squilf needs to say something about it. He manipulates the truth out of Nightheart in an incredibly tense scene where Night is clearly uncomfortable. When Leafstar comes to talk about Tigerheartstar’s little “suggestion“ at the gathering, we get this exchange:
“Let’s see how it plays out.” Bramblestar looked at her steadily. “It’s not like Tigerstar is planning to invade RiverClan.” “Not yet,” Leafstar mewed darkly. “But I can’t help feeling that he was more than just running an idea past us, as you put it. I think he was preparing us, getting us used to his plan, so that when he does act, it will seem less shocking.” “You’re being paranoid,” Bramblestar told her. “Am I?” Leafstar looked at Squirrelflight, clearly expecting the ThunderClan deputy to back her up. But Squirrelflight looked away. “If Bramblestar thinks we should let it play out, then that’s what we’ll do.”
-Sky (page 303 in my PDF)
I cannot read this without immediately being reminded of Squirrelflight’s Hope. This is the EXACT thing that Bramble abused her about for that entire super edition-- the feeling that she ‘wasn’t backing him up’ and taking the side of Leafstar and the Sisters.
He’s upset. He’s mad that when Leafstar leaves, Squirrelflight is angry with him over what he said to her, he’s still thinking about that vole, and so. He gets Nightheart to go spy on ShadowClan... to ‘prove‘ that Tigerheartstar isn’t planning anything.
His extremely reckless grandson, the one who threw himself in front of a hawk, the one who’s desperate to please Bramble. He picks him to go spy when he was the one arguing that Tigerheartstar is totally innocent and they shouldn’t be suspicious of him, preventing anyone else who’s more capable from taking action. When Squirrelflight finds out about this, she tells Nightheart that she completely forbids it, OBVIOUSLY, because this is an awful idea!!
So we could say that the writer here completely didn’t intend any of it and is just so bad at writing that they portrayed literally the opposite (bramble bad) of what they intended (bramble good and noble), but... I’m choosing to give this arc my goodwill for now.
So here’s to hoping this arc ends with an actual Bramble callout

au starting from lost stars/one non canon event mentioned but i cant stop thinking abt a scene where bramblestar slips up abt thinking abt killing firestar in sunset n how squirrel would react to that. this is a very quick drabble aka its not rly thought out or edited, i jsut needed to write and get it out somewhere ! i also cant rly definitively say that everything abt bramblestars version of events/what squirrelflight knew abt the foxtrap scene is canon-accurate since its been a minute since ive read tnp + that time period is extremely muddled in terms of which author writes it and what any cat outside of bramblestar ACTUALLY knows.
anyways tysm for reading <3
"i've sacrificed everything for this relationship, for you," bramblestar snaps, eyes that were at one moment dim and exhausted from his oncoming illness now alight with anger. "you don't even know how much pressure i was under all those years ago, after we got back together and i became deputy. i was dealing with my new position, with thunderclan's mistrust, with hawkfrost telling me to-" and he stops dead in his tracks, eyes widening just slightly as he realizes he let something slip.
squirrelflight blinks, deeply uncomfortable by his reaction. she knows that he and hawkfrost kept communicating after she and bramblestar got back together, and she knows to this day that hawkfrost never had good intentions - but there is something about the way bramblestar looks away from her, how his fur prickles along his spine, that makes her think there's more to this story.
"hawkfrost telling you to what?" she tries to keep up her bravado and confrontational tone so he doesn't detect how disturbed she's becoming, but her voice wavers. "what are you talking about?"
"nothing," he says too quickly, shaking his head. "it doesn't matter. i'm tired, squirrelflight; this leafbare is the worst i've seen, and i'm not feeling my best, either. you know that - i've been so sick, and-"
"yes, you are sick, and i've told you to rest," she reminds him, cutting him off. "and i'm sorry about that, but what are you talking about with hawkfrost?"
"i said it was nothing."
"it doesn't look like it was nothing."
bramblestar sets his jaw, shaking his head. "you know how he was. i was just going to say that he was just trying to pressure me to stop talking to you, that's it."
it doesn't feel like that was it. she has no love for hawkfrost and doesn't particularly care that he didn't like her much either - but bramblestar wouldn't be so upset and secretive about something that trivial. there's more.
"you're not telling me something," she says finally. "i know you - or, i mean, i think i know you. you're hiding something from me about hawkfrost, and i swear to starclan - we just had a conversation the other night about being truthful."
"i've always been truthful."
"it seems like you're not right now, though. i've laid out all of my secrets and told you every bad thing i've done - i've let the whole forest know my demons. not by choice, but what's done is done. there's something you're not telling me about hawkfrost - and don't tell me he didn't like me, we all know that. what was he telling you to do?"
he twitches his whiskers. "squirrelflight, you need to drop it."
this just makes her more angry. "i've told you everything i've done and you're always going on about how we need to stay truthful to each other to make this work - whatever it is, i'll listen to you about it. i know how hawkfrost was - did he want you to take over the forest, or something? i know he talked to mudclaw about things like that; he wasn't subtle about his plans to be tigerstar junior."
bramblestar looks deeply uncomfortable. "i didn't do what he wanted me to do, you know i didn't," he finally says after what seems like an hour; she blinks, unsure of what he's talking about.
"what do you mean? like...yeah, you didn't take over-"
"he wanted me to become thunderclan's leader. that's it. now, please, just drop it."
she frowns. she kind of expected that, but there's....a deep shame in his eyes, and she thinks there's an element to this story he's not saying. he's being evasive and private, and her heart begins to beat harder when she really, really thinks back on all those years ago.
a memory surfaces, one that she always thought about with pain and yet an underlying feeling of pride - for brambleclaw, for her mate, for saving her father....
it hits her then. she always thought that the foxtrap was brambleclaw's moment of undying loyalty to her father - stumbling upon hawkfrost about to kill firestar, and immediately jumping to his defense. that's always how he told it, anyways; he knew what hawkfrost wanted to do, and put an end to it.
but there were always these underlying moments that she couldn't quite place over the years - some type of underlying shame and embarrassment that she just chalked up to grief for his brother.
they look at each other, and she tries to keep calm. "when you found my father in the foxtrap," she says slowly. "did you think about letting hawkfrost kill him?"
bramblestar's beat of silence is all she needed to know; he immediately tries recovering it, though.
"squirrelflight, i would've never done that- hawkfrost and tigerstar were-"
"tigerstar? what does your father have to do with this?"
bramblestar is very quiet; she thinks that the world around them is completely silent as they stand in the middle of a snowy clearing. the cold usually heightens the sounds in the air, but in this moment all squirrelflight can hear is the thudding of her own heart.
bramblestar seems like he's trying to piece his thoughts together carefully; she forces herself to wait until he finally says: "i was never going to do it," he says, voice tight with emotion. "squirrelflight, i loved your father - you know that." she can barely hear him anymore as she finally grasps what exactly he's telling her. "my father and my brother- you've heard about how they are from lionblaze and ivypool and the others that went to the dark forest, how could i have- they were my family once, i thought that maybe-"
so that was his big secret, the one that he never meant for her to uncover. everything makes a little more sense now; the guilt and shame in bramblestar's eyes for those first seasons after hawkfrost's death whenever he'd look at firestar, the overcompensation bramblestar tried to preform as deputy. it wasn't because he felt like he allowed his brother to cause harm to firestar before saving him, it was-
"hawkfrost told you to kill firestar," she says softly, looking up at her mate. "but that- if it was just that, you would have told me, not lead me to believe that hawkfrost was the one who wanted to do it all along," she feels herself shaking as the shame begins to come back into bramblestar's expression. "you thought about, didn't you? about killing my father so you could become leader?"
bramblestar gives one moment of hesitation, and she shakes her head.
"i'm going to be sick," she says quickly, stepping away from him.
"i didn't hurt him. it wasn't-"
"this whole time, you've shamed me and made me feel like the worst cat that's been born because i kept a secret for my sister," she almost spits, her fur raising. "i don't know if i was morally right or wrong, i don't know what anyone else would do in my paws during that time - but you made me feel like i was worthless for a year because i protected leafpool, and now i finally get to know that you not only met up frequently with tigerstar but that you actually- you thought about killing my father. you thought about hurting firestar just so you could become leader."
ashfur's jibe all those years ago suddenly makes more sense - after the fire, the way he bumped into her with his shoulder and sneered you don't really even know your own mate, do you?
who knew that even after all this time after his death, ashfur still got the last laugh.

From The Ashes AU - Sparkstar's Nine Lives Ceremony - Writing Drabble
I've been stuck on this AU a lot so I decided to share some of my writings. For those new I wrote down the plot on how it started and then wrote allegiances
this is from the nine lives ceremony I mentioned in the former for Sparkstar, who now leads a Clan she named in honor of her grandfather's memory.
The air was still that night, two shapes walking along the tree-line with their bodies low and ears pinned down, fearing confrontation. The ground on this warm night felt like ice under Sparkpelt's paws as every little scuttling mouse or curious owl's call made her worry that she and Leafpool were going to get caught.
It had been some time since they had left ThunderClan and being back did not bring any comfort to the bright ginger she-cat.
Mom would've died for this place.. She did die for this place.. Her heart twisted as a sickening wave of grief had her pause for a brief moment as she looked up at the glittering sea of stars above her head. Which one of those are you, Squirrelflight?
She kept moving, glancing up every now and then to find the three brightest stars. One for her mother, one for her late mate Larksong, and one for her son who never got to grow up, Flickerkit.
"We're getting close," Leafpool hushed mew snapped Sparkpelt out of her thoughts as she glanced at the medicine cat. A medicine cat for a Clan that didn't even have a name yet. The thought was almost amusing. "Stick close. We can still be found by a patrol."
She bit her tongue as a smart remark almost left her maw. She was going to ask if her father, Bramblestar, would really drag them back to ThunderClan from the Moonpool, but seeing as Ivypool and Fernsong literally had to fight their way out to leave, she wouldn't be surprised.
The ice that tugged her paws down, trying to stick her in place, grew heavier as she caught a glimpse at the Moonpool for the first time in her life. The way the stars danced in the clear water made it look like the pool itself sparkled with the pelts of StarClan cats.
With a small motion of her head, Leafpool invited Sparkpelt to lap at the water, the brown tabby even taking the first drink to prove it was safe. Leaning down and lapping at the water, it felt so cool and fresh that her body relaxed, causing the molly to realize that her body had been tense with fear.
.
With a small blink, she found herself surrounded by a forest of shimmering trees, a breeze pulling at her fur unlike the stiffness of the forest she had experienced on her way here.
Before she could continue to register the awe-inspiring sight around her, she was greeted by a dark ginger shape rushing over and the feeling of rough, but loving licks to her head. A deep purr rumbled in her throat as she took in the familiar warm feeling and the achingly painful scent of her mother.
"Squirrelflight," Her voice cracked as she realized just how much she had missed her. The bittersweet feeling rose from her chest and to her throat, blocking her words as she struggled to speak. "I-"
"I'm happy to see you, too," The small she-cat, nuzzling her with such warmth. It felt like lifetimes ago that she was expecting kits and Squirrelflight had been right there beside her, comforting her and assuring her that she was going to be okay, even while the older molly had been fighting with Bramblestar. "How I wish I could be there for you and your kits and-"
She glanced at Leafpool, who stood there with a saddened smile.
"You did so much for us already," The brown tabby molly said, reaching one of her white paws out and resting it on Squirrelflight's. "You've done so much for me already. You deserve the rest."
Sparkpelt watched as a wordless conversation followed, their expressions changing ever so slightly as the only noise was the faintness of their breaths. After a long moment, Leafpool stepped back, dipping her head and glancing towards the bright ginger she-cat.
It's my turn to talk. She realized quickly, looking back at her mother.
"What you did for us - for ThunderClan and the Sisters - no one will ever forget," Sparkpelt promised. She refused to let herself forget that sacrifice made to save kits that wasn't even hers or her Clan's. "And I know it's a lot more to ask, but there's something we need - or at least need to know. You see, after you.. After you were gone, Leafpool and I left, followed by-"
"I know."
Sparkpelt blinked at the interruption.
She knows?
"I've been watching every moment," She assured, nudging her daughter's shoulder with her nose. "I know how you and Stormcloud have been working hard to make a safe and caring home for you and the other ThunderClan refugees. I know that Bramblestar is fighting tooth and claw to bring everyone back home because he's become blind with grief and rage."
She blinked more slowly this time, her green eyes shining even brighter than usual for a brief moment.
"And I know you're here for your nine lives."
Shock rippled through Sparkpelt.
"So-"
"StarClan is ready to gift you your lives. We talked for so long after you left, trying to determine if this was the right path. In the end, we are sure of it."
Behind the StarClan warrior, the queen saw the forest come to life with many shining cats, all of them holding their heads high with pride.
StarClan..
Squirrelflight stepped close, the warmth of her glittering body overwhelming Sparkpelt for a moment, like an inferno under the smaller she-cat's pelt. The younger she-cat felt that energy rush through her, burning at her paws like she was standing in flames, the crackling ringing in her ears as she could hear the distant shouts of her mother.
"With this life I grant you compassion," She murmured, eyes full of love and burning determination. "I don't regret how I ended up here. Bramblestar may have thought it was foolish for me to help cats I barely knew, but I was able to ensure the chance that three kits would be able to live and see the world."
Sparkpelt pulled Squirrelflight in for one last goodbye nuzzle before letting her mother step back.
Her lonely heart twisted more as another cat came forward, his dark pelt alight with many stars that danced in his eyes.
"Larksong.." His name fell from her maw before she could stop it and she longed to lay in a nest with him, to talk about everything and nothing all at once.
"Sparkpelt," He purred her name with such love and warmth that for a moment she felt secure and safe. He rested his chin on her head and she pressed against him, breathing in his scent for a long while. "I wish I could've stayed. I miss being with you with every breath I breathe.."
"I miss you, too," She felt herself about to weep. "I miss you so bad that it hurts. It feels so lonely without you."
He pulled away and her heart yearned for this to not be over.
"But you're not alone," He reminded her. "You've built your own family, one of many cats who can be there for you. And, even if you can't see me, I'm standing by your side forever and always."
She leaned forward again, wanting to feel his fur against his, but he lowered his head to where their foreheads were touching, their noses close.
"With this life I give you confidence. I believe in everything you do and I know you'll lead these cats well. You just need to be able to see it, too."
Their noses touched and Sparkpelt felt a shocking mix of being as light as a fallen feather and being as sturdy as stone. Like she could do anything and take on any foe. The feeling started to taper after Larksong pulled his head away.
"I'll be with you always." He meowed, stepping away to allow room for a much smaller shape to toddle over. The grief became overwhelming as little Flickerkit approached, his eyes bright and joyful at the sight of his mother.
"Mama!" He chirped, pressing his head to her leg. She leaned down to give him a lick, but was met with his nose touching hers, as if he had been expecting her to move to make it easier for him. "With this life I give you forgiveness. It's not your fault, okay? I'm not mad that I had to leave, so please don't be mad at you either."
Sorrowful sand coated Sparkpelt's tongue and the stone of loss made her throat ache.
"My beautiful kit," She whispered out. "I love you."
"I love you, too, Mama."
She managed to get a couple licks on his head before he ran over to Larksong, standing next to his father with such light in his eyes. Losing them so close to each other was still so hard for her to bare.
It took her a moment to notice that a new cat had approached - a white and speckled brown she-cat, whose eyes narrowed in such a sharp look that it felt like it stung the grieving she-cat.
"I'm Pebbleshine of SkyClan," She stated bluntly, her intense gaze fixed on Sparkpelt's eyes. "And if it were up to me, you wouldn't be the one getting these lives." Sparkpelt winced. "But I was outvoted, so instead I'm going to give you the life of acceptance."
She pressed her nose firmly against the ginger molly's, causing a small shock of pain with just how quickly she pressed her nose. A bright intensity filled her, followed by a warm flood, as if someone was letting out the first feeling.
"May you accept all cats, not just your own."
As Pebbleshine turned to walk away, it clicked suddenly to Sparkpelt on why something had been bothering her. This molly was Twigbranch's mother. They didn't look a lot alike, but they had the same general body shape.
After her approached another she-cat - a cat whose solid black fur shifted ever so slightly in a mix of emotions as she looked past Sparkpelt and to the she-cat next to her. There was another silent conversation, one of forgiveness and kindness, before the black she-cat turned to her.
"I'm Hollyleaf," The name shot many stories through Sparkpelt's head as she recalled it quickly. "I'm-"
"Lionblaze and Jayfeather's sister. I remember.. My mother and father raised you.."
She nodded before stepping forward.
"I died for my Clan, much like she did, but I made some grave mistakes along the way that I still wish I could take back, but I never gave up," She blinked slowly, her gaze becoming intense. "And I don't want you to give up, either. So with this life, I give you endurance. Use it to carry you and your Clan."
Sparkpelt wasn't ready for the burning, aching, tired feeling to erupt through her body. Her heart pounded in echoes through her ears and her legs quivered helplessly, but she found she could still stand, despite the soreness that clawed through every part of her.
As she was recovering, someone else stepped forward. A large golden cat, whose pelt somehow still had the soft cling of milk to it. Confusion settled over the fading pain as she noticed a look of love and affection in the molly's eyes.
"Who are you?" She asked quietly.
"I'm Goldenflower," Came the reply. "I'm Bramblestar's mother - your grandmother - and it's such an honor to finally meet you. I may have passed away so many moons ago, but to know my son had such a wonderful family kept me from letting myself wander too far."
"With this life I give you protection. May you fight for every life as if they were the lives of your kits."
A new feeling surged through, like fire and electricity, dragging out her claws in order to defend those around her from the shadows looming in the corners of her mind.
Blinking her eyes open, Goldenflower dipped her head and whispered a soft goodbye before stepping away.
Two more kits replaced the one queen - a dark brown tabby tom and a pale ginger she-cat. It took only one look at the tom for it to register just who these two were, even if she didn't have any actual memories of them.
"Juniperkit, Dandelionkit," She felt a faint sadness for never getting to know them, but she found it wasn't as intense as her sorrow for anyone else. It made her wish she had more time to get to know them, to give them the proper respect they deserved as her littermates. "You're so much bigger than I remember."
It wasn't the truth, but it was enough for the two kits to become giddy.
"I told you! She remembers us!" Dandelionkit boasted, holding her head high. Juniperkit stuck his tongue out before shoving his sister. She was about to shove back when Squirrelflight let out a cough, catching the kits' attention. "Oh! Yeah!"
Dandelionkit pressed her nose against Sparkpelt with such speed that it hurt much worse than when Pebbleshine had done it. She got a quick apologetic glance from her late sister before the kit spoke again;
"With this life I give you enthusiasm! You gotta enjoy every day you can!"
Kit-like energy spread through her body as she remembered playing with Alderkit in the nursery and chasing Bramblestar's tail as he tried to get things done around camp.
The buzzing feeling made her paws tingle, even after Juniperkit walked up for his turn.
"With this life I give you faith!" He declared loudly, shooting a smug look at Dandelionkit before turning back to Sparkpelt. "Even if things are looking bad, you gotta hang in there and know that there are cats there for you! So never ever give up!"
Emotions swirled through Sparkpelt's chest as bubbling feelings of fear and despair were suddenly washed out with new feelings of hope and confidence. Not the same soaring confidence that Larksong had given her, but enough to make the world just a bit brighter.
They all stepped away as a shape emerged from the crowd and Sparkpelt's eyes widened as a tom came forward. His flame-like pelt was the same stunning color as hers and she didn't even need to think about who this was. She had heard enough stories to fill the heads of many cats for moons to come.
"You're Firestar." She blurted out. He smiled and she realized just where her mother's warm and loving gaze came from.
"I am," He confirmed as he stood only a whisker or two away. "It's good to finally see my granddaughter. I would've loved to dote on you while I was alive, but I'm still so happy to get to see you."
It felt overwhelming in the moment. This was Firestar. She was a part of his legacy and suddenly the shame of how she had been acting before made her feel like an embarrassed little kit.
"With this, I proudly give you the life of love. From the kits born inside the nursery to cats who choose to wander, all your Clanmates are worthy of love."
When he pressed his nose to her, she felt as if she was floating, her heart swelling so much that it almost hurt. She could see everyone's faces as she closed her eyes as well - Stormcloud standing by her side as he watched Cherryfall, Ivypool and Ferncloud helping their kits build dens for everyone to sleep in, Daisy helping watch Finchkit and Flamekit, and even Finleap and Twigbranch returning home with prey in their jaws.
To love these cats like family.. She could feel herself able to do that, even if she hadn't always been the best cat in their lives.
"Congratulations, Sparkstar." Firestar bowed his head to her as she could hear her name being called by many cats, both those she knew and voices she had never heard.
"Sparkstar! Sparkstar! Sparkstar!"
.
Waking up, Sparkstar's ears were still ringing as she slowly stood, her legs shaking lightly as she took in what happened. She could hear movement beside her as Leafpool was soon awake, looking at her with warm amber eyes.
"How do you feel?" She asked softly, aware that what just happened was a lot. There was a moment of silence as the newly named leader took in a long, deep breath.
"I feel great," She assured, smiling at the medicine cat. "Let's get back home. To FireClan."

☆Warrior Cat Ships☆
♡Part one- Canon Ships!♡《The ones that I know of and can remember》
Firesand- 10/10!
I personally like the "Rivals to lovers" trope they have going on! It reminds me of Doctor'Zombie and Vet'Zombie's relationship! And plus, they have my favorite gurl! Squirrelflight!<3
CloudBright- 10/10!
A wholesome ship! And I absolutely love wholesome ships, and they remind me two of my ocs! Storm'Acid X Deathflame! They are also a wholesome ship of mine!<3
Leafcrow- 10/10!
I absolutely love forbidden relationships! This is one of my favorite forbidden relationships actually. I felt bad for both of them when they had to separate when they returned to the clans, like, they could've been so happy together and raise the three together as well!
Bramblesquirrel- 0/10.
I absolutely hate this ship! Like, Bramblestar is so abusive towards Squirrelflight, and I clearly can see it more after watching Moonkitti's video about this! Do I need to rant more about this ship? No I don't. I think I said enough about it in different posts of mine. Sorry to anyone who ships this.
Ashsquirrel- -0/10.
Hell no. I'm sure the events in the broken code can definitely prove that Ashfur was worse then what he was before. You think trying to burn Leafpool's kits wasn't enough for him? Then read the broken code. He is absolutely SICK and TERRIBLE to her in this arc! Like all of THIS just because she didn't love him?!?
Dustfern- 8/10!
I will admit, this ship is something I am not around a lot, but I do ship it. It has potential like the other ships that I know and aren't like Ashsquirrel and Bramblesquirrel. But it's definitely cute!
Lioncinder- 4/10!
I hate Lionblaze. I have no opinions about Cinderheart, except for being a good girlfriend for Hollyleaf and Willowshine. I could care less about this ship though, like, am I supposed to feel anything about it? To me, it's kinda boring and kinda rushed.
Graysilver- 10/10!
Another forbidden relationship I love! It's good to me, cause I said so. And the kits they had, Stormfur and Feathertail? They have some amazing potential and a precious sibling relationship!<3
Stormsquirrel- 2/10.
I know nothing about this ship, I didn’t even know it existed until I just went through Squirrelflight ships. Though I don't really like, I prefer Stormfur with Bramblestar or with Brook.
Brookstorm/StormBrook(??)- 7/10!
It's a good ship, it really is. But, I wish we could've see more of them. Like, c'monnnn erins, I wanna see more of Stormbrook!
Rootbristle- 10/10!
I absolutely love this ship!! Sometimes it feels like I'm the only one that absolutely adores this ship! Like, it has potential, it's healthy, and it's cute! They actually talk about their relationship and talk things out. Though I hope the whole forbidden love code is gone in the next arc. I can tell, and maybe the code might change cause of Bristlefrost x Rootspring!
Tigerdove- 10/10!
Ahh yes, another forbidden ship I love! I love Tigerheartstar X Dovewing! Though I don't get with the hate towards them? Like, they both are great parents towards their kits. They are like, omg, so adorable! Like, I'm glad to see Dovewing happy in Shadowclan with her mate, Tigerheart. I'm glad she's not being pressured by the kin of your kin prophecy, or being stressed about it and such. Like, I'm sure the Dovewing fans agree with me. Maybe. Anyways though, I love this ship either way!<3
GrayMillie- 5/10!
I could care less about this ship, like it's good? But uh, where did it come from? Probably from Graystripe's adventure that I had not read, which I probably should to know more about this ship. Though, I do not like their kits! Well I like Briarlight, but I just don't like Blossomfall and Bumblestripe.
Blossomthorn/Thornblossom- 0/10.
Isn't he like, way older than her? You know what, WarriorCats never makes sense. I'm not gonna complain about this, but anyway, I just don't like them both.
Brackensorrel/Sorrelbracken- 9/10!
A wholesome ship that ended in tragedy and makes me feel bad for them. I love this ship though!<3
Aldervelvet- 8/10
I like this ship! I would love it more if it was more developed and more focused. But thats okay, I can always make AUS about them! But for real, I wish it was more developed and focused, cause it seems like it has potential.
Tawnyrowan/Rowantawny- 10/10!
I love this ship! I wish we saw more of it though! I notice most of the headcanons that I seen for Rowanclaw/star are him being transgender, which makes me confused. Where did this start? I don't have a problem with it though!^^
Blueoak- 10/10!
Ohhh man!! I absolutely love this ship! It's one of my top favorites! I felt so bad for them, especially Bluestar. Like, their such a good ship. Of course it was a bit rushed, but, I could care less about the ship being rushed. They both had such cute kits BUT they definitely had potential.
Spottedfire- 0/10.
I kinda see them as a "embarrassing babysitter crush" type of thing. Like I don't like this ship, and I don't care for it.
Bramblestar X Jessy- 0/10.
Uhhh, I will admit, I didn’t finish Bramblestar's storm so I don't know her. She's just a kittypet and Bramblestar has a crush on her, that's all I know and heard.
Feathercrow- 5/10.
I mean, it's cute? Yeah it's cute, just not my cup of tea. I mean they might have chemistry? I think? It's been a while since I read TNP and I don't remember much from that arc. I don't think I ever finished Starlight now that I think about it. . .
Nightcrow- 5/10.
I mean, I like Nightcloud and I also like Crowfeather. As a ship? Ehhh, not really a huge fan of it. I mean, they just have a stinky boi, who I happen to like as well. Butttttt,,,,it's fine. I just don't see them as a couple.
Lionheather- 0/10.
I don't remember anything about this ship. Wait, who's Lionblaze? Never heard of him. Haha, he sucks like Bramblestar and Ashfur.
Bumbledove(?)- 0/10.
Nope. Nah. I don't remember much about him besides being Graystripe's son and having a unhealthy crush on Dovewing. Not my type-
BerryHoney(?)- 5/10.
To be honest, I don't remember much about Honeyfern. Like was she from TNP or PO3? I can't remember.
Berrypoppy(?)- 6/10.
I also don't remember much about Poppyfrost, like, their cute? I just don't remember much about Poppy tbh.
CrookedWIllow- 10/10!
They were such a cute couple! I may not remember much about Crookedstar's promise《cause I don't keep rereading like I do with Bluestar's prophecy》 but it's still a cute ship!!
Violettree/Treeviolet- 10/10!
This ship is adorable! They are such a wholesome ship and I stand by my opinion about them! I just need to know more about Tree's past and all, like, oh I don't know? Read Tree's Roots or something along that? I only know that he used to be part of the sisters and his mother was Moonlight and that's it.
▪︎Jayfeather X Half Moon- 5/10.
I'm a bit. . .confused? Like, how does this work? Cause she's dead and probably older than him maybe? Maybe I don't know? Look, I just, I just don't really ship it.
Spottedthistle- 0/10.
Bye. I need to leave, and casually ignore that whole situation with Thistle and Spotted, and just focus on what really happen, and that Spotted was happy as a medicine cat and clearly is a lesbian ace. Bye.
Goldentiger- 7/10!
These two remind me of Corrupt(oc) X Harmony! My two ocs! I'm not sure why but they do! Though, they(Goldentiger) have a trashy son and I don't like him very much. I wish we got see more of them, like, wholesome moments and not Tiger being a totally murderous bish.
Tigerstar X Sasha- 5/10.
I will have to read their Manga to understand more about this ship, cause I'm not sure how to feel about it if Tiger just hates Kittypets, and such. Like bro, if you hate outsiders, then why love a kittypet hm? I also don't know anything about Sasha, just that she was mates with Tigerclawstar, she had three kits, but one of them died. And I know what their kits's names are; Mothwing, Hawkfrost and Tadpole.
Snowthistle- 10/10!
Thistle deserved Snow, and not Spotted. Cause I ship Snowthistle so much!! They had such a amazing kit as well!!
Larksong X Sparkpelt- 7/10!
Personally, I find it cute! I wish I knew when this ship started, but it probably started somewhere in AVOS right? And believe it or not, they had three kits and one of them is gonna be again character in the new arc soon!
Yellowfang X Raggedstar- 0/10.
Nope. Yellowfang deserves better, and when I say better, maybe someone like Bluestar or whatever ship that's good for her. Or maybe no ship for her at all! I just hate Raggedstar and his son, Brokenstar!
Stemleaf X Spotfur- 5/10.
I don't really care for the ship, I mean, it's cute I suppose. But really though, I just don't care about them. I just hope their kits will be cute though, and erins, I'm begging you that none of the kits are treated like shit and such.
Ravenbarley- 10/10!
Ahhh, a amazing gay classic ship!! I absolutely adore this ship!! I didn't know if it was canon or not! I still don't, and I should probably look more into that!! Anyway, I absolutely love these two!!<3
Nutmeg X Jake- 3/10.
I mean, it's cute? I think? I just wish we could see how much he liked Quince and Nutmeg. Cause like, did he ever felt anything for them unlike for Tallstar? Eh, probably just me. She deserves better.
Quince X Jake- 4/10.
It's also cute but meh. Not my type though they get a four cause they had Scourge《One of my favs》.

Twigpaw hadn't ment to overhear--she assumed Onestar thought the Thunderclan apprentice den was empty, and that's why he had attempted to talk to Mistystar so close to it. The minute after the Windclan leader's personal apology had dropped from his lips, an icy hiss had left Mistystar's.
"My youngest son is trapped as a prisoner due to your cowardice, Onestar. Because you were too ashamed to take care of your kits! Five of my warriors are dead, one of them being my other son's mate, leaving their young kits without a mother. Don't fucking apologize to me. Especially when both of us know Windclan was far more welcoming of outsiders when Tallstar was leader, and you knew he would have welcomed that queen and her kits into your clan. You brought this onto the clans! You did! If Reedwhisker dies, I assure you, I WILL take your remaining lives." The Riverclan leader had hissed, voice smooth as ice.
Twigpaw had never been quite so scared of the riverclan leader before in her life.
oh my god this is so good go OFF mistystar my beloved.
i think the scene in shattered sky is after reedwhisker is rescued? but i could b wrong, 0 memory of avos. regardless, regardless, more importantly, i just realized something.
skyclan doesn't know Shit about tigerstar? dang. so much potential but like. they wouldn't Know. this is when twigpaw is in skyclan i think? i don't remember? twigpaw bounces so much i stg. but either way like.
they're all in thunderclan's camp and most cats don't know, actually.
like. bramblestar and feathertail being angry at each other because "this isn't the time, feathertail" "when the fuck is, bramblestar?" and like. hawkwing is just. trying to figure out what the fuck happened.
"violetpaw do you know what's going on"
"dad i'm a child"
but also like -- riverclan and skyclan are now besties because they Fucking get it.
"a tyrant invaded your home?"
"yeah did urs kill a bunch of people?"
"yeah. did urs kill the deputy?"
"yeah omg let's be besties"
hnng. yes. leafstar sees what's up between mistystar and onestar. onestar hit a Deeply Personal Nerve. and maybe i don't know.
("Well, we need to work together. Now isn't the time to bring that kind of thing up," Tawnypelt says, her tail tip twitching against the ground. "He apologized. Do you want to get your land back or not?"
"Shut the hell up," Feathertail hisses. "You don't get a voice in this."
Violetpaw glances between the two of them. She's probably not supposed to be here, but she was looking for Twigpaw and now the only way out of the apprentice's den is to walk between them, and she thinks that would make everything worse.
"You can't -- he's trying to make up for this, Feathertail. And regardless of how you feel about it, we need WindClan to get RiverClan's territory back."
Feathertail scoffs. "Remind me, next time ShadowClan destroys RiverClan, to just not care about it."
Next time?)
and violetpaw would definitely try to track down who to ask about this. maybe she starts with alderheart? foster dad and all that.
("Did something happen between ShadowClan and RiverClan?"
Alderheart's whiskers twitch. "They've been at odds for as long as I've been alive. I think it's just -- one of those things."
Violetpaw sighs, but she sees Mothwing looking at them. The golden she-cat blinks a few times, then licks her shoulder. Alderheart follows her gaze.
"She might know about it." He licks her on her head. "You know I've missed you, right?"
Violetpaw's ears flick. Sometimes it's harder, to let herself think about what might have been.)
hm. mothwing would -- she didn't live through it, but,
("We've been enemies since before I was born," Mothwing says.
"Feathertail said next time. Like this wasn't the first time."
Mothwing sighs. "That was -- a long time ago. Feathertail was about your age." Her ears fold back slightly. "Mistystar never forgave Blackstar."
Violetpaw's nose twitches. "You're avoiding the point."
Mothwing takes a long, deep breath. "It's not a story I've had to tell for a long time, Violetpaw, and it's not a good story. ShadowClan -- has not had a good past. And this is the second time RiverClan has been the victims of ShadowClan's errors." She closes her eyes for a moment. "But -- there was a leader of ShadowClan who...convinced the leader of RiverClan to join forces. And he was responsible for a lot of hurt to my mother, and all of RiverClan."
Mothwing stands. "I want to go check on some of our cats.")
ah violetpaw. just trying to know. yeah. ironically, if someone told her the story like a fable, she'd probably relate to tawnypelt.
but at some point, someone should really explain to skyclan why shadowclan and riverclan are at odds.
(Squirrelflight is the one to take Leafstar aside.
"RiverClan and ShadowClan haven't agreed to anything in years," she starts. "So -- sorry about that. Tends to make a lot of decisions endless bickering." Her whiskers twitch.
"I noticed." Mistystar and Russetstar are on neutral enough terms, but as soon as someone suggests a course of action, they never end up on the same side.
"They've got history."
Leafstar takes a deep breath, trying not to let Squirrelflight's uncharacteristically meandering speech to irritate her.
"I just -- we just--" Squirrelflight takes a deep breath. "You should know. It was a long time ago, before I was born. Bramblestar was an apprentice. ShadowClan and RiverClan joined together, tried to force the other Clans to join them. But -- RiverClan had four known half-Clan cats in it at the time."
Leafstar's tail twitches. Being half-Clan seems entirely foolish to her. She has no "Clan blood," but she has nine lives and as many bones to pick with StarClan as the rest of them.
"Mistystar, Stonefur, Stormheart, and Feathertail," Squirrelflight says, and things begin to make sense. "RiverClan's never forgiven ShadowClan. Usually, we just try to keep them apart, but...")
i don't know what's going on i wanted russetstar but darktail would have to take over shadowclan a different way and look. that's not important. the important thing is u got me thinking.

My po3 OFTS au is a thing now (Chapter 2 electric boogaloo)
Chapter 2
Hollyleaf POV
“Thornclaw, take Bracken fur with you to collect some moss for bedding. Brambleclaw organize a hunting patrol, we lost all of our prey in the fire. I don’t want the queens and elders going hungry tonight.” Firestar instructed as he walked through the camp assessing the damage. Hollyleaf was working with Cinderheart on dismantling the burned parts of the warriors den. Hollyleaf and her brothers found Thunderclan sheltering in the old two legs nest on the far side of the territory. Thunderclan sheltered in the nest for the night and returned to the ruin camp at early sunrise. The camp was now bustling with activity as cats worked to clear the debris left behind and assess the damage. Hollyleaf watched as Brambleclaw nodded to Firestar before taking Berrynose, Honeyfern, and Sorreltail out of camp. The reunion had been brief with Brambleclaw when the three returned to the clan. Not that Hollyleaf could look at him the same after the revelation on the clifftop.
“Is he really like Tigerstar? Is he just waiting for Firestar to pass so he can take over?...Is he really cruel to Squirrelflight?” Hollyleaf thought as she watched him leave. She had heard tales of infamous fights between her former parents, but she had never witnessed it herself. She wrinkled her nose in disgust at the mere thought of the word ‘parents’. Squrrielflight had returned safely to Thunderclan as well, but Hollyleaf and her brothers refused to acknowledge her. Hollyleaf’s shock and rage from the night before had sat with her throughout the night and now turned to bitter anger and disgust. She doubted she would ever speak to Squirrelflight again after her betrayal.
“Hollyleaf are you alright?” Cinderheart’s soft voice broke Hollyleaf out of her mind.
“Huh..uh yes...I’m fine…” Hollyleaf said, beginning to strip the warriors' den again. Cinderheart ran her tail down Hollyleaf’s spine reassuringly.
“I can tell when something is on your mind, you know.” She said with a purr.
Hollyleaf sighed heavily, knowing her best friend was right. She had always struggled to lie to her. She spotted Ashfur who was busy helping Ferncloud repair the nursery. Her fur prickled with anxiety and rage.
“I wished the flames had consumed him! He’s a traitor to the clan and the warrior code!” she thought angrily, as the memories of last night filled her storm filled mind.
“Hollyleaf?” Cinderheart chimed again.
“I...uh..yes...sorry..I’m just...last night was a lot...we almost didn’t make it.” Cinderheart stared at her, her eyes soft with empathy.
“I know, I was so scared when you, LionBlaze and Jayfeather weren’t with the clan. I thought you....” Cinderheart's voice faded into a whisper and she pressed her head under Hollyleaf’s chin. “I’m so glad you’re alright.” Hollyleaf’s chest rumbled with a purr as she rested her chin on her best friend’s head.
“I’m glad you’re alright too.”
“How is Lionblaze? I...I haven’t been able to talk to him last night. I want to make sure he’s alright.” Cinderheart asked as the two friends once again returned to her work.
Hollyleaf blinked as she pondered the question. Lionblaze...why was she asking about Lionblaze specifically? As Hollyleaf thought about a good way to respond, the answer to why Cinderheart was asking hit her like a monster.
“Dear Starclan, she has a crush on my brother! That’s the last thing we need right now!” Hollyleaf thought, feeling her emotions in a whirl.
Hollyleaf grunted as she struggled to pull one of the branches off the den, she was too wrapped up in her mind.
“Here let me help,” Cinderheart grasped the branch in her jaws as well, and they pulled it off together. Hollyleaf dropped the branch, licking her paw and ran it over her muzzle.
“Lionblaze is alright. We’re all pretty shaken up.” She finally squeaked out.
“I’ll have to check on him later. Perhaps I can go hunting and bring him back a fresh vole.”
Hollyleaf stared at Cinderheart who was now staring at her brother across the camp. Cinderheart quivered with a nervous yet steady purr. Her eyes were half closed with contentment. Hollyleaf felt slightly envious. She doubted she would ever find a mate or even find a time in her life to. She was part of the three, she had a larger destiny and that also included becoming leader of Thunderclan one day if she had the chance.
Lionblaze now having taken notice of the two she cats trotted over to them.
“Hollyleaf, Jayfeather needs us to go with him to find herbs. A lot was still destroyed in the fire,” he said before turning to Cinderheart. “I’ll try to bring back some prey for you while we’re gone.”
Hollyleaf felt herself roll her eyes so hard they would pop out.
Cinderheart purred as she ran her tail over Lionblaze’s shoulder.
“Thank you. You should go Hollyleaf, I’ll get Foxpaw to help me finish with the warriors den.” Hollyleaf nodded following her brother over to Jayfeather who was already waiting for them at the now cleared tunnel.
The three siblings headed out into the forest. The scent of smoke and fire hung heavy in the air, the trees were blackened and their bark crumbled at the touch. Even the dead leaves that had littered the forest floor had turned to nothing but soot. Hollyleaf sighed, heaviness hung in her chest as she lifted her paw that was now blackened.
“Everything is destroyed. It’s going to take a long time for the forest to heal. Is Thunderclan going to make it?” She wondered, continuing to follow after her brothers.
“We need to talk about what happened last night.” Jayfeather finally spoke, as they were now far out of earshot of other cats.
“Agreed.” Lionblaze chimed in. “First things first we need to stop Ashfur from telling the clan.” Hollyleaf rolled her eyes.
“I doubt that fox heart will do anything. He got what he wanted… he hurt Squirrelflight by making her tell us the truth. He’s torn our family apart.” Hollyleaf growled her ears pinned back. She wished Ashfur was in front of her now so she could tear his pelt off. Lionblaze scoffs at his sister.
“Do you really think that? You saw him last night! He was willing to let that fire kill us! I’m sure he would have! You don’t know Ashfur like I do! He was my mentor and let me tell you he will do anything to hurt Squirrelflight!” Lionblaze snapped, his claws flexing digging into the soft sooty earth.
“Perhaps we should let him tell the clan.” Jayfeather muttered. Hollyleaf spun looking at her brother letting out an astonished gasp.
“Do you have bees in your brain!?” she growled at him.
“Squrrielflight already let the truth out. The consequences will come no matter what….its just a matter of time. Besides what will Ashfur say? That he threatened to let us burn to death all over his inability to let Squirrelflight go?” Jayfeather’s voice was very matter of fact. “He will be exiled or even killed, but I doubt he’s thought that far ahead. He’s too blinded with rage. Squirrelflight could possibly be exiled, but I doubt Firestar would do that to his daughter.”
“What about us?” Hollyleaf quickly reminded him. “Thunderclan will turn on us if they find out the truth! What will our clan mates think, even if we aren’t exiled...wait...if we’re not Squrrielflight’s kits are we even the three…” Hollyleaf’s voice trailed off into a whisper. Her stomach felt like it was in knots, her legs felt like they would buckle, as she struggled to breath.
“Starclan how could we be so mouse brained! There’s nothing special about us!” Hollyleaf wailed. “Of course Jayfeather can see into dreams he’s a medicine cat! Lionblaze you’re just a warrior any cat could fight as well as you with practice...and I’m just ....” Hollyleaf wailed, her voice trailing off into a whimper. Hollyleaf had always wondered when her power would appear. Jayfeather and Lionblaze had always seemed to have had their powers since kithood, yet she had been left behind. Now she knew why, they were ordinary cats. They weren’t chosen by Starclan if anything Starclan hated them!
Lionblaze stepped closer to his sister running his tail down her spine. Hollyleaf sighed heavily leaning against her brother, taking comfort in her brother.
“I don’t think that's true...we have to be related to Firestar in some way!” he reassured her.
“But we aren’t! There’s no possible way! The only way we could be related to Firestar is through Leafpool and she’s a medicine cat! She can’t have a mate or kits!” Hollyleaf growled. Her tail lashed as her fur bristled standing on end. She felt like she couldn’t breath, her whole world was collapsing in on her and Ashfur had been the one to take it away. Hollyleaf bared her teeth, scrapping at the dirt with her claws sending chunks of earth behind her.
“We should kill him...that would silence him forever.” she hissed. Her brothers looked at her bewildered.
“Hollyleaf we can’t do that...if we did we would actually be exiled then!” Lionblaze spoke, his voice lowered in bewilderment. Jayfeather calmly laid his tail on her shoulder. Hollyleaf turned and looked at him, as she did she felt her rage beginning to cool. Jayfeather’s face was soft with reassurement, but also filled with extreme worry.
“Don’t worry we’ll find a way to stop him. I’ll walk in his dreams, maybe the threat of the wrath of Starclan will be enough to scare him into silence.” he said, his voice a bit more chipper, hopeful even. Hollyleaf’s fur fell flat and she sighed.
“We should still keep the secret to ourselves....after we stop Ashfur from ever speaking about this we need to find who our parents are.” she planned. Her brothers nodded in agreement. As the three went to finally find herbs and prey Hollyleaf made a promise to herself.
If Jayfeather couldn’t stop Ashfur, she would in any way possible.
