i love nona. She's my blorbo. I love that she eats sand and doesn't understand a lot of things. I love that she gets a version of childhood and family, bananas as it is, that gideon and harrow never had a chance at. I love how full of life and love she is, even at her end. When she's lower than she's ever experienced, it's a reminder of her love that brings her back up, for a bit (yes, I'm talking about noodle)

All this makes sense, i think, with the context Paul provides. We don't know who nona is really until them. Because if Paul is the ultimate expression of love between camilla and palamedes, what is nona but the love harrow and gideon had for each other? Not perfect or shining or grand but often small messy and cruel. They didn't know how to love for most of their lives, but in the end they helped make someone who loves fiercely. And that love was part, however briefly, of alecto as well.

apparently when Astarion is reading the Necromancy of Thay book and he says "No I won't kill them. Well maybe [character name]" the companion he mentions is always the one who has the highest approval with the player (or second highest if he has the highest approval) Lmao He is jealous.
