Okay I am genuinely filled with so many thoughts and emotions from the new episode of the Bad Batch so I wanna list some predictions for the upcoming episodes
spoilers for the most recent one of course <3
Prediction One: We know from episode 11 that Omega will most likely become a target, captured, and probably tortured/threatened to convince Nala Se to work for the Empire. I have a feeling she's going to be brought to the same place Crosshair is currently being held, and the two of them will end up in a cell together. Crosshair is extremely disorientated due to the (implied) experimentation he's been put through. Omega is wary of him, but is also worried due to Crosshair's shaken demeanour after the emotional whiplash he's been through. The two end up talking about things, and upon hearing about Crosshair's ordeal on the Outpost, Omega gives him a hug and Crosshair finally breaks down because this is the first positive contact he's had in months. During their imprisonment, Crosshair and Omega get taken for experimentation/torture, and Crosshair tries to protect Omega from being taken every time. This leads to him getting hurt a lot more and often given a drug that makes his sickly state worse, but he's going to do whatever he can to protect his little sister from these monsters. The Bad Batch team up with Rex and Echo to find their kid, and they locate Omega and Crosshair together in the cell on the Imperial base. Crosshair instantly shields her from the Batch, practically hissing as he tries to keep her safe from the threat his drugged mind is seeing. Omega is fast to reassure Crosshair and rushes to hug his other brothers, begging them to help the sniper who is practically on deaths door from the constant experimentation and drugging the Empire has put him through. The Bad Batch take their brother and Omega back with them, and Crosshair finally gets to go home
Prediction Two: The scientist is going to attempt to make Crosshair similar to that assassin clone we saw in episodes 7 & 8. He'll be put through more mental manipulation and in turn would be forced to be another puppet for the Empire to use against the Bad Batch. I am a firm believer that Crosshair still has his inhibiter chip, and the added mental strain from the scientist's experiments makes his psyche start to act out. He sees things that aren't there, he has severe headaches, and his thoughts blur together between "Obey the Empire" and "Betray the Empire". This leads to him having a massive mental spiral that leaves him broken and crying for his family to save him. (Episode 14 is called, "Tipping Point" so my ideas are stemming from that.) Crosshair's delirious state is how the Bad Batch find him; strapped down to a experimentation table and practically whimpering like a wounded animal while a cruel scientist continues to exploit his fractured mental state. Like the first prediction, they'd rescue him from that imperial base, and take him to where Rex and Echo are to remove the chip. (We've had a leaked image of Omega hugging Echo again, so it's confirmed they're gonna reunite at some point) They get Crosshair's chip removed and the sniper is experiencing severe signs of PTSD and is struggling to trust his brothers again, but at the same time he's so scared of being left alone again and doesn't want them to go. The Batch are all horrified of what the Empire has done to Crosshair, and are even more horrified with themselves that they let themselves believe that Crosshair wasn't still chipped. Expecting a lot of whump, angst and apologies here
Predication Three: Following the idea of the first predication where Crosshair and Omega end up in the same cell in the same base, instead Crosshair tries to escape with Omega without the Batch's help. They make it pretty far, getting to the landing bay before they're surrounded again, the squadron preparing to open fire. This is where the Bad Batch and the other freed clones ambush the base with gunships and blasters, intent on finding Omega and destroying all the copies of the Zillo Beast. Crosshair grabs Omega and runs with her to find cover, letting the others fight the imperials. When the landing zone is secured, Crosshair and Omega come out to find the Bad Batch. Expectedly, the boys are not trusting Crosshair all too much, but they are concerned from how many needle pricks there are on his neck, his almost sickly appearance and much skinnier frame. Omega tells them that Crosshair was helping her get out of the base, and it extends a very shaky olive branch to the other batchers. Crosshair wants in on the plan to blow up the base and the Zillo beasts inside, and this is where we finally get to see the entire Bad Batch fighting alongside each other; Hunter, Tech, Wrecker, Crosshair, Echo and Omega are all seamlessly taking down their enemies. This is the episode called Plan 99, with the entirety of Clone Force 99 kicking ass and taking names. Not sure how this episode would end but I think the finale is gonna have them all fighting together.
Those are my current thoughts for the upcoming episodes, and you can see the angst train is going as fast a as bullet. I do not trust Dave Filoni with my babies, he's gonna end up hurting them more /srs /lh
If anyone has any predictions feel free to add them onto this!! I'd love to hear how you guys are thinking the upcoming episodes will play out

Tell us more about the scripture ^^
I'm curious if there are any other religions on the continent, or if it's just one major religion that simply varies slightly by region,
have a teaful day!
 Naniaism
Tumblr media
Naniaism is the largest and most common religion in the land of Äterra. Its said that The religion cropped up during a time of strife for non magical humans.  The human civilization that had formed from a few of the human tribes (that i have yet to name)  had become dominated by magi. Magi interfered heavily in human politics and along owned 75% of the kingdoms wealth. Large swaths of humans where starving and dying of disease. It contrasted heavily with the civilisations ruled over by magi; and elves witch the human’s had made contact and established trade with in the last century.
The human civilization was the richest it had ever been but also in the most turmoil it had ever been in.
Resentment of non human and magical folk was at it highest.
It was the perfect storm of conflicts when a alchemist and physician(who i have yet to name) discovered noticed that a lot of his magi patients where coming in with serious burns that were unable to be healed magically. Doing some investigating he discovered that bacrüm, a small bush that produced red berries, used to treat dyschezia in cattle, caused acidic burns to those born with the capability to practice magic. With experimentation he figured out that even just standing in a room with the plant caused magi to become lethargic and nauseated. non-magical elves and humans born to one magical parent but who themselves were not born with magic, were unaffected by the berries.
Using this knowledge he penned a manuscript that mixed the creation storie from of his tribes religion and sprinkled in other traditions from other human tribes. He truly believed himself to be a prophet of Mother Nania. He believed she had gifted him this knowledge so that would save his people, humans like himself.
He started by reading his manuscript to a small group of his friends in his home. Eventually word spread and so many people wanted to hear what he had to say, they volunteered to expand his cellar into a massive underground chapple. With pews and a pulpit. He called them his Fold. Like the sheep the berries were given to to expel the filth. He encouraged his Fold to cultivate the bushes he dubbed “mother’s touched” in there homes. Collect the berries and transport them to his underground chapple. His cult followed his instructions without question. Even on the night that pushed the cult into infamy.
He ordered them to kidnap a local Magi boy (haven't yet named) to experiment on. This boy wasn't skilled enough to defend himself from being bashed on the head and drug to the underground chapple. The Boy was tortured immensely. He had the berries rubbed into his eyes blinding him and he was tied up to be like a practise dummy to find the most effective way to use the berries as weapons. After trying numerous ways, they found out the best way to utilize the berries was to turn them into an oil. The oil won't dry up or rot like smashing or juicing them would. Finally the boy was decapitated, putting him out of his misery.
The boy’s body was dumped in a part of the city most heavenly populated by magi. On his body a note calling for a total destruction of inhuman kind was found. tp the people who found him it appeared as if he had just been burned and decapitated. The red oil blending in with his blood covered corps. The note told any human sympathetic to inhumans to either join or be cut down along side them. Many humans joined the religion. The magi called on the ruler of the human empire to quell this cult but he was too busy with the many distractions set in place by the political magi to care. The political magi tried to solve this problem but where either murdered by human nobles who were apart of the cult , or they escaped and encouraged  others to escape back to the magi empire as well. Taking the majority of the empire’s wealth with them. Unfortunately a good sized population of magi were too poor to make it back to the magi empire, didn't actually believe in the impending danger, or were too proud to be scared by the human cult.
The cult grew larger and larger and spread covering the entirety of the human empire.
The emperor and his family were killed and his brother who was sympathetic to the cult was propped up as the new emperor.
Angered that he was ruling a poor empire he prepared to sack the magi empire and take back what he felt was rightfully human wealth. He commissioned thousands of siege engines, such as trebuchets, to hurl colossal wooden containers filled with the Holy Red Oil. The containers were so large they could fit a city’s cisterns inside them. Along with fortifying his own cities.
After 2 years of this preparation with the constant fear that the magi empire catching word of his plans he had eliminated all magi within his borders.  The human’s were still suffering starvation and poverty. the cult leader took a high position in the emperor's court as the emperor's religious adviser. Still many humans in the empire didnt practous the new popular religion. But the emperor  was finally ready to put his plans into motion to attack. He marched on the magi empire.
They knew the human’s would be coming for them so many of them abandoned the major cities including acting emperor and powerful families. After 2 years of experimentation they knew no way to subvert the effects of “mother’s touched berries.
There population’s that stayed to fight were decimated Many fleeing after watching there comrades burn in the oil covered streets.
The magic universities were destroyed there libraries of arcane knowledge meticulously burned to the ground.
The magi empire was no more and the human empire grew larger. After a some decades the human desire for more took over. While they were doing better they still wanted more. Spreading across the continent giving it its name  Äterra’Mūteer meaning Land of the Mother. Absorbing the remaining human tribes and smaller human civilizations evangelizing them into Naniaism.
Eventually the expansion stopped. Blocked by the elven territories.
They had pushed out majority of the elven populations but the emperor still desired more and desired to envied the elven empire who at this point had become a refuge for all the magi refugees and was still quite prosperous. The magi emperor and his entire extended family warned the elven emperor of the brutality of the human emperor. So a surprise attack would be utterly pointless. The cult leader however told of the elves incredible weakness to human disease.
The cult leader devised a plan of attack. He had gathered for him 500 flea infested rats packing them into a wooden box witch he had launched into the elven capital. The rats and the fleas spread a devastating human disease to the elves witch at this point had no cure for it. The magi were mostly resistant to human illness so they were largely  unaffected. The elven emperor knew what was to come but he didn't flee. He sent his family away with the magi emperor  and his family and the majority of the magi people elves and human but he stayed and fought. The war lasted quite a while delivering major losses to the humans actually having the human emperor assassinated, but his oldest son tool his place. Finally the elven emperor was defeated and captured. He was tortured to tell where he had sent his family and the magi but he would never give up the location. He was eventually being executed and the establishing of elven enclaves where established in the walled off ruins of the former elven cities. In the human territories that were never elven they were hastily constructed slums. The elves were forcibly converted and were not allowed to practice there old elven religions though some still did in secret until resent times when the ban was lifted and enclaves were promoted areas In which to practice, altho most now just practice Naniaism or no religion at all.
Naniains worship the human goddess Nania.
Nania created herself. But she was so lonely she began to cry. Her tears fell on the floor and blossomed the world.
She then wanted to create a people to live on this world.
Her first creation was to be in her image but she mistakenly created what we know as elves.trying again she successfully created the humans. She doted on the humans giving them all her love. Permitting the elves to run free.  but the first elf she created, Arthinre’el, who’s color changed throughout the year, grew envious of her love for the human’s and desired to make a people of his own that he could love and treat just as well.
Going to her, he asked her to share her power with him. But she refused. Not out of spit but because he wouldn't be able to control it. This angered Arthinre’el. He then plotted to steal her power if she wouldn't give it to him. He stole the tears of life. The tears that held her power that grew the world. He ran far away from Nania spilling the tears creating pools that good magical creatures walked out of. Arthinre’el his in a cave and drank from the tears of life. But instead of being able to create he gained the powers of magic. He went to his elven brethren and told them of the powers he gained. Some agreed to drink and some refused afraid of Nania’s rath and not wanting to betray her. Some gained magical powers and some didn't.
Arthinre’el then went to the humans and told them of a way to be powerful like Nania.
Some went with Arthinre’el but some stayed and went to tell Nania.
The humans drunk the tears. Some gained magical powers and some didn't.
Well the humans who refused to go with  Arthinre’el finally reach Nania and tell her of Arthinre’el’s betrayal. This angers Nania so much the tears that spilled onto the ground when Arthinre’el was running to the cave, that had been up to this point making good magical creatures that didn’t want to hurt people. Now they turned angry and magical creatures that wanted to hurt people began walking out of the pools.
Nania came to Arthinre’el and tried to defeat him but HE was too powerful and she was only able to break off part of his soul and cast it into the sky creating the moon. He was able to cast her from the world entirely by shooting a beam of magical energy into her forehead. Creating a constellation of herself in the night sky, a purple star where her forehead where the beam of energy hit her. Many years went by and most people had forgotten their creator. Until one day she saw her favorite creations suffering under those that betrayed her. She was able to reach out and touch a bush with red berries. bestowing upon it the ability to cut deeper than magic can reach
Other facts about the religion
Naniaism is represented by a purple star flanked of 4 sides by red dots.
Naniaism has different branches that mainly practice the same core concept of loyalty.
Naniaism used to require that magi receive painful and tortuous deaths but after an incident where a magi blew up a large chunk of a city after his wife was tortured to death, many kingdoms band the practice of magi torture to keep there people safe. Though a few kingdoms still stick to the old ways.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I didn't mean for it to be thins long!!! i have a few other religions in my catalog so stay tuned for those.

Hi, do you have any headcanon or any story about Amon's hat ?
Tumblr media
Hello! Thank you so much for the question!
I do have a headcanon about Amon's Hat, as well as the rest of his outfit. It's interesting and strange to think the lead technologist chose to dress and act the way he did - the lore book claims insanity, so it's fun to explore that some.
The lore book also notes that during research to find the secrets of immortality and the methods to resurrect Xande, Amon actually used himself as a test subject for his own experiments. On top of that, in my stories, he had been injecting himself with highly addictive aether enhancement drugs for years in the search for increasing power.
I imagine between the experimentation and the drugs, Amon's body took the brunt... and he wasn't very attractive as he moved into his middle-aged years. Being a vain fellow, he tried to fix it with his aetherochemistry handwaving, but this ended in failure.
Therefore, he eventually took up wearing fully-covering outfits, including the hat with the mask, in order to cover the continuing deterioration of his appearance. By that time, he'd pushed most of his close friends and family out of his life, and those who were left around him were subordinates too scared to say anything about it.
Though his current cloned form has given him his youthful appearance back, it took him many years to feel comfortable not wearing a mask or covering his face in some way in public. I wrote that as a hold-over from the illogical anxiety he had of people finding out what he really looked like under that hat in his previous life.
He's doing better now, though. No more drugs. No more masks. It just took a lot of love and encouragement to help him recover.

[shakes tin can] spare demon biology headcanons please? I'd love to hear about any and all demonic biology thoughts you have !!
Hehe, I hope you are ready for a mild essay
(Also prefacing this with the disclaimer that I don't know dick about science and haven't studied science since my undergrad degree and even then I only really paid attention when I got to cut shit up or blow shit up so this is definitely not based in any actual understanding of how mutations or evolution or viral infections work, Lee, if you read this, I'm so sorry bestie in science it's probably very inaccurate lmao but anyways)
So!!! We know that the demonic infection/mutation stemmed from experimental medical procedures used on Muzan based on the blue spider lily. While of course, demons are largely supernatural beings, I personally love the idea that there's a lot of scientific backing with how they function, develop, and evolve. Which, considering how demons were first created, and that a drug was created to return them to being human, I feel like that's a fair assumption to make. Personally, I like the idea that it's similar to a blood-born virus, and that there are various mutations of that virus.
Specifically, the virus continually mutates in an effort to survive and preserve itself (which viruses tend to do in any scenario). But the demonic viral mutation was originally created as a way to save Muzan's life because he had a terminal illness. It cured him of his illness, and made him virtually immortal, which is where the more supernatural elements come into play, but I'm not gonna focus on that bit right now.
Muzan (and nearly every demon we saw) had a near feral desperation to stay alive. The only demons who didn't were the ones who were so miserable they were suicidal, at which point I don't their their instincts were strong enough to drive them to survive (like the mother spider demon, and eventually Akaza). I like the idea that the virus biologically drives the host to preserve itself. Of course, these demons wanted to live anyways, but upon their impending deaths a lot of them were driven to attempt some intense things to try and survive (everything Muzan did towards the end of the final battle, Hantengu in the Swordsmith Village, even Akaza ripping his own arms off during the fight with Rengoku). I just think it's a fun little idea that being a demon forces them to do anything necessary to survive
Which then leads to further mutations of the virus that leads to the host being even more difficult to kill, which for demons, meant surviving decapitation with nichirin blades, or conquering the sun (and with conquering the sun, surviving a nichirin blade would then be simple), and the only four demons we ever saw accomplish any of these things were Nezuko, who conquered the sun, (and Tamayo even said that her blood was different after that), Tanjiro, who also conquered the sun, and then Muzan and Akaza, who survived decapitation. The mutations that allowed these things to happen led to the further survival of demons in general.
But that's just some jargon about the infection itself! Fun, but I personally am way more interested in the mental links and existence of what could be considered a hive mind amongst demons.
We know Muzan has a link between all the demons under his command. He can speak with them, and via Nakime and her Blood Demon Art, summon them, and then of course, the Name Curse. Canon is admittedly pretty flippant with how these connections function so I tend to take a lot of leeway with them. Namely, the concept of Demon Kings in general.
I think Demon Kings are a natural hierarchy system that demons instinctually default to (like a queen bee in charge of a hive or something similar). A Demon King is the most dominant presence in a hive mind, with the most amount of control. This was what Muzan was, and then was what Tanjiro became with his transformation. Demons within the hive mind will naturally default to the King, and another King will not evolve unless the demon in question breaks the blood links with their King, and then does not immediately form another blood link with an already existing King. Due to this, I like the idea that Tamayo would technically be considered a Demon King because not only did she break free from Muzan, but she also created Yushiro, who then was a part of her hive mind. Nezuko also had the potential to be a King, had she ever turned anyone or formed blood links with other demons who didn't have a King.
These are the main thoughts I have on how the general virus functions along with future mutations, but a few smaller, general headcanons of mine regarding demonic biology would be
They have to eat so much and deal with such an intense hunger due to the sheer amount of nutrients they require for their accelerated healing abilities and Blood Demon Arts. Both of these things burn so much energy, it leaves them starving more often than not
Demons can form intensive blood links with each other and the strong mental/emotional connection can aid with survival. Like Gyutaro and Daki having to be decapitated at the same time. Essentially, they could keep the other alive through sheer force of will so long as the other was physically sound enough
Again, canon is pretty flippant and has a few contradictions on how demon turnings work, but I like the idea that any demon can initiate a transformation. However, the further out from a King you go, the more dangerous a transformation is and the more likely it is to result in death. (Think of it generation-wise, a King and those turned directly by a King have the strongest versions of the virus. The further out you go, the less intense it is. With a weaker version of the virus, a host is more likely to die during a violent transformation, rather than have a successful one)
In a similar vein, the further out from a King you venture, the less human reasoning and intelligence a demon is likely to have. Those that are little more than wild animals were transformed with weaker versions of the virus
These are the big headcanons I have! There's a few smaller ones regarding specific instincts and how/why exactly demons end up with particular physical changes, as well as wisteria and its affects, but I feel like those are vaguely different topic so Eh
But I hope you enjoy my demon rambling that almost certainly doesn't make sense upon actual examination haha. I just think it's very fun

2023 Year End List - #16
Tumblr media
16. We Buy Diabetic Test Strips - Armand Hammer
Main genres: Experimental Rap, Abstract Rap
A decent sampling of: Hardcore Rap, Conscious Rap, Industrial Rap, Political Rap, Cloud Rap
Why yes, I am a white nerdy indie rock fan who is also a big fan of experimental hip hop and loves Billy Woods projects. Shocking, I know.
Armand Hammer have been building a reputation for themselves for a good while now as one of the best 'underground' hip hop projects out there. And it isn't hard to see why.
These dudes are mad creative, spitting rhymes with a nice mix of esoteric wordplay and revolutionary messaging over beats that are always disorienting and challenging. And Billy Woods' disciplined, syncopated flow of sharp wit and bleak observations has a lot of natural chemistry with Elucid's more intuitive and rhythmically jerky, hardcore-meets-abstract style.
Shrines was a highlight of my 2020, spent in a lot of isolation and thinking about the systems that had gotten us to this crummy point in time. Meanwhile, 2021's Haram was a little bit less of a memorable project for me.
As for this one - yeah this one might just be my favourite project from the duo yet.
We Buy Diabetic Test Strips is a melting pot of tricky and eccentric beats, anxious, avant-garde production, and a plethora of lyrical topics ranging from religion to philosophy, race, sexual encounters, hustling under capitalism, and subverting the establishment, turning these ingredients into a viscous, complex bitter juice with the distinctly metallic scent of blood. This mf is dense, more so than probably any other rap album I listened to this year.
JPEGMafia's production work is sprinkled throughout this project. Apparently he used to have beef with these guys? Idk, it's exhausting to keep up with artists dissing other artists, and ol' Peggy seems to have beef with a lot of folks. Regardless, the dudes made up, and this has probably been my favourite year for him appearing on projects, between this and his collab album Scaring The Hoes (which just got snubbed from the honourable mentions, but I'm sure plenty enough people have already written praises for that one for their own year end lists anyway).
Anyhow, let's get on with the track breakdowns.
"Woke Up and Asked Siri How I'm Gonna Die" (song title of the year, obviously) is slick fucking cloud rap, like a soft layer of gossamer gauze obscuring images of carnal sex and the ugly feeling of emptiness. Very rapturous sound design throughout.
"When It Doesn't Start With A Kiss" is a maelstrom of a hip hop track, going from bubbly, uncharacteristically melodic electronic production during Elucid's verse efore being completely submerged in echoing, deep sea depths on Billy's.
A chilling marimba line opens "I Keep A Mirror In My Pocket", which turns into a clangorous changing meter featuring vibraphone, toms and kicks, and periodic alarm sounds coming from some weird-ass sample. Hallucinatory and abrasive all at once, like being haunted by some demonic tinnitus. I could see how this track would be off-putting to some with more sensitive ears, but I am a real masochist for the kind of organized chaos displayed on this track.
"The God's Must Be Crazy" tackles the CIA's involvement in the crack cocaine crisis which wreaked havoc in Black American communities in the late 20th century. The beat jitters with fidgety anxiety, brilliantly recreating the atmosphere of journalists unraveling dangerous, classified truths, nervous addicts that can't sit still, and the general horror of bearing witness to a drug crisis. The wordplay on this is also just godlike. Perhaps their best track yet.
I do think the mid-section kind of totally dominates this record. Tracks 4 through 8 are mostly mind-blowing, but then I'm a bit worn down by the last stretch of tracks, penultimate "Switchboard" notwithstanding, which is definitely another standout cut.
It could definitely also be that I just haven't spent enough time with this one - Armand Hammer's music is like a fine wine with many notes, and it takes time to unravel all of the wordsmithery, old hip hop references, socio-political history, and heavily layered production with multi-faceted beats that resist predictability.
Either way, Armand Hammer are still dishing out some of the craziest beats and flows left and right all over this thing. Nobody could call these guys unoriginal, and I don't see the duo slowing down any time soon. We Buy Diabetic Test Strips proves that Armand Hammer are still one of the most essential acts out there that are really working to keep the world of hip hop music endlessly fresh and groundbreaking.
8/10
Highlights: "The Gods Must Be Crazy", "I Keep a Mirror in My Pocket", "Woke Up and Asked Siri How I'm Gonna Die", "When It Doesn't Start With a Kiss", "Switchboard", "Niggardly (Blocked Call)"

I’m a fan of Channel Awesomes’ Fanscription series and the best videos so far are the Tim Burton Batman movies.
Their recent rewrite of “Batman and Robin” is the best one as they made a lot of nice changes for the plot and even did things I wasn’t expecting which made the rewrite even better. Though that was the last of the classic Batman movies, I strangely could see one more being made through a "What if Time Burton directed a Batman movie featuring Poison Ivy and Bane" as I was surprised that there weren't any references to Poison Ivy in the Batman and Robin rewrite. Heck I thought Inca was going to be revealed to be Pamela Isley but she either changed her name to Inca or Chip just called her that as a weird nickname.  If they ever decide to do one without the “Inca is Ivy” idea, here is what I could the plot being about. Several years have passed since the last movie, and we see it through Gotham as its more like the 2000s. Batman has become an icon for the city of Gotham City, heck people travel to the city in hopes to get a glimpse of him and visit historical spots of his career and this in turn has been profitable to the city as it has been able to use that money to make changes that have helped decrease homelessness and poverty there. Things have also been good for our characters, such as Dick and Barbara have graduated college and are still together. We also learn that Catwoman has been helping deal with crime in Gotham and though she is still a thief, she uses her newfound wealth to help the underprivileged in a Robin Hood kind of way. The only one having it a bit rough is Bruce Wayne as though he has been helping the city in more ways than one, you can tell it’s taking it out of him and we clearly see this in the film like how he gets easily hit by a henchman at the beginning of the movie. Besides that things are pretty good until the heroes run into some henchman and realize that a foreign drug cartel is now in Gotham and are committing crimes, but discover they are after dangerous chemicals. This is where the new, uprising businesswoman that has been taking Gotham by storm comes in, named Pamela Isley. Pamela is the CEO of a eco-friendly company who wants to try and make Gotham and the world greener with experimental plants infused with chemicals that aid in decreasing CO2 levels and get rid of other pollutants in the air and soil, and though there is an interest in it, a lot of people only pay attention because Pamela is hot which annoys her a bit. Bruce is one of the few people that look beyond that and Isley thought he could help speed up getting her plants green lit by the government, but Bruce thinks the plants could be dangerous in the wrong hands since the chemicals in them could be used to produce some nasty stuff if extracted properly. He is willing to help her get them released once her company finds a better way to make the chemicals in them less dangerous, and though Isley understands, she is a bit annoyed that Bruce doesn’t care about the environment as much as she does. Eventually Bruce’s concern are justified as during a conflict as Batman he fights more cartel members at one of Isley’s factories, and of course criminals+chemicals+Batman=trouble as during the fight, where Pamela was coincidently working on her plants, an explosion occurs that causes Isley to go MIA, the criminals to get away with some deadly materials, and cause some bug property damage. This is another scene of Batman wondering if he should retire only for the others to give him hope, along with another scene of Bruce denying rest when he really could use some. This is also where I could see someone like Robin making a joke about how Batman can pay for the damages with his “Bat Credit Card” which is followed by Batman and the others looking at him with a “REALLY?” like face, playing on how infamous that joke has become XD. We eventually discover that Pamela is still alive but was mutated by her chemicals, which she is alright with as she realizes she is closer to plants than ever before as she can communicate and control them. This happiness doesn’t last though as she discovers her business got closed down due the bad press it got from the explosion at her lab and seeing how dangerous her plants could be, which drives her insane and decides to use her newly obtained powers to try and destroy Gotham for the plants as her new persona Poison Ivy. She would first use her powers to kill the biggest polluters in Gotham till she eventually discovers her pheromones could make those that find her attractive to do what she wants, and tries to use her new servants to get her plants planted till Batman and the others discover what she is doing and ambush her at one of her victim’s homes. They try to stop Ivy, but she uses her powers to make Batman and Robin fall for her, where we get a scene of Batman and Robin fight each other for a bit THEN are ordered by Ivy to fight Batgirl (and Catwoman who was nearby) until the ladies are able to bring the guys back to their senses, though there is some temporary lovers quarrels as a result. Though Poison Ivy may have failed this time, her recent crimes attracted the attention of the drug cartel who are able to counter her powers enough so that they could take her to meet their leader, a masked guy named Bane. Bane states he and Ivy both hate Gotham as it is, and he proposes and alliance where in exchange in her help destroying the city, Ivy could use the desolation to turn it into a plant paradise. Ivy is skeptical at first but Bane says he is an honorable man and swears to not do anything to destroy their alliance, and after some proof Ivy accepts. During this alliance Bane is able to use Ivy’s plant knowledge to help him complete the formula for his military grade steroid formula that he calls Venom, which in a twist was originally created by Wayne Enterprises. We would later find out Bane’s true target is Wayne Enterprises because when Bruce was declared dead in Winter's End, a corrupted businessman at the company shortly took over some branches where he green lit deadly experiments (like Venom that was tested on him and other volunteers) that quickly destroyed Bane's hometown and even kill his family, making him vow revenge on the company and destroying Gotham would do this. Bane's inclusion to the story would lead us to plot points similar to the famous Knightfall comic storyline as with Ivy’s help along with giving his crew Venom, Batman and the other heroes are weakened so they can't get in his way.  He eventually realizes Bruce and Batman are the same person, which leads to the fight where he breaks Batman's back, leaving Batman unable to fight as he and Ivy take down Gotham. Unlike Knightfall though, this gives Robin and Batgirl some development as they would have to take Batman's place and try to stop the villains on their own while Batman heals with the aid of Catwoman where they have a few romantic moments together, but that doesn’t stop Bruce and Lucas from working on their latest project. I could see Batman helping the others from the Batcave like Bruce does in Batman Beyond, which would be a cool reference. I also see Robin being giving his Nightwing suit, which in the movie is just an upgraded suit that gives him more strength and features so he can fight alone. Eventually Batman is well enough to fight again but after learning from his last fight, Batman uses the newly built Bat Power Armor and with his allies goes to stop Bane, and good timing to as Bane finally has what he needs to destroy Gotham. Turns out it’s a bomb but he plans on detonating it on a fault under the city like Chip tried to do in Winters End, but this explosion would be on a much bigger scale to a point Gotham would be considered a “No Man’s Land”. Here Though this wouldn’t make Gotham uninhabitable for life, Ivy doesn’t like how it will kill all the current plants in Gotham and though Bane does try and comfort her on the fact and they wouldn’t be dying in vain, Ivy ends their partnership. We get a big fight where eventually the heroes defeat the over Venom infused Bane and henchman along with Ivy but the bomb is about to go off, and it’s here where in a scene similar to Arkham Knight, where Ivy decides to use plant powers to make a cocoon around the bomb to hopefully decrease the blast while giving Batman and others time to get everyone out. Luckily this works as the plants safely absorbs the detonation without causing too much trouble to Gotham, and even Ivy is able to get out and join them but short dies but again tells everyone the beauty of nature, and this is shown as her body slowly turns into flora that beautifies the land the heroes are standing on. The movie ends with several plot points in the Batman movie series wrapping up like Bane (still recovering from the Venom injections) going to jail but not before he tells Bruce that he won’t tell anyone he is Batman as not only is this a way to pay him back for saving him from the bomb while unconscious, but he ask Bruce to help rebuild his home town, which Bruce promises to do. We also get some touching moments with Bruce with everyone else as Dick and Barbara are moving to Bludhaven to look for new jobs but says they will keep in touch and Bruce can always call them if they need help in Gotham. We also FINALLY see Bruce and Selina getting together where Bruce proposes to her, and we see them at their wedding. We then cut to decades later to a more futuristic Gotham as we see a new Batman taking out some thugs and we find out he is the son of Bruce and Selina who is now Gotham’s new protector getting advice from his father at the Batcave. I also could see a AU ending where and older Bruce and Selina take their son out and are mugged but before anyone does anything, “Batman” comes in and saves them, find out that Dick has become the new Batman and Bruce’s son says he hopes he could be Robin one day. Do you want to see a Fanscription like this one day? What would want to see in a story like this? Characters are owned by DC Comics Tim Burton Batman is owned by Warner Bros Ivy pic is owned by Rocksteady Studios and Warner Bros. Games base by cartoonfan22

david bell has never worked in gender clinics. tavistock where he worked has a gender clinic, but also has a community clinic, a drug and alcohol clinic etc and they are distinct from each other. he worked at tavistock but where he worked in it matters. it’s like saying that someone who works at disneyland has inside knowledge on how they run the animation studio or vice versa. it just isn’t true and doesn’t make sense. same company, completely different areas.
I'll answer this because I think you're sending it in good faith, but I think this is an absurd bone to pick, and that it's one you're picking to give yourself sufficient reason to discredit the very real concerns being raised by people who have been very close to this work. It isn't even a bone you're picking with Bell himself, which could at least be a point of actual discussion. It's a bone with how I passingly characterized his account of widespread medical experimentation (the use of medicine that is not yet shown by data to be effective at treating the condition for which it is being used) on gender nonconforming children who have an unusually high incidence among them of other mental health problems. To draw a parallel, this is like if I said in a passing comment that the restaurant where I work had started serving Campbell's chicken noodle soup as miso soup and someone chimed in, "Ahhhhh but you work behind the bar and not in the kitchen!" Except instead of soup we're talking about the possibility that barely pubescent children are regularly being set by professionals on a path to treating a psychological problem (a problem they're often prevented by trained clinicians from even understanding as a form of emotional distress rather than as a statement of objective identity reality within them) with lifelong medical intervention that will impact sexual and reproductive decisions they cannot (according to at least one apparently generally well regarded judge in the UK) even conceptually understand, without first making attempts to do literally anything else to work on the underlying emotional distress itself.
It's a serious accusation. I understand if your impulse is to flinch from it because it was mine- it seems absurd!!!- but either take issue with the accusation itself or don't, investigate it or write it off immediately as nonsense, but don't disrespect either myself or yourself by taking issue with how I presented his work in a comment I took fewer than 10 seconds to write. You genuinely owe more to yourself. Maybe you don't like my telling- fine, you don't have to take it at face value. You can read it in The Observer here, or read the first reporting on his findings in The Guardian here.
The point isn't that David Bell is some gender expert and in fact in my personal estimation his opinion on the matter is leant significant credence by the fact that he's not someone who's spent 100,000 hours in trainings about gender identity at his workplace. The point isn't even that David Bell broadly has good opinions on the treatment of psychological problems with medical interventions. The point is that David Bell worked at the institution for 25 years, during which he oversaw important and large chunks of their functions and came to hold major responsibilities in that institution, and that after GIDS clinicians themselves kept bringing their concerns to him he felt obligated to ring several alarm bells about it in 2018- to use your comparison to companies, this is actually much more like someone in the accounting office of a corporate restaurant chain seeing a lot of holes in their restaurants' books and ringing alarms. Mind you, David Bell was not the first person to make similar complaints about the work being done on children experiencing gender dysphoria- Sue Evans WAS a psychotherapist working in GIDS directly who began to have similar reservations in the early to mid 2000s, with particular concern about the speed at which children were being funneled into hormonal treatment. The fact that Bell was not the first to make the claim does not make the claim true or false, but if Bell's distance from the GIDS service itself provides you buffer that allows you not to look further then I'm providing you with Sue Evans' case because it strips that distance. You may notice in the Guardian piece that parents are noted as being concerned with what they claim was a lack of the complex psychological evaluation of people aged 17 to 25 that, they believed, GIDS would use to evaluate children. Sue Evans was not even happy with the care these parents are saying they wish their late adolescents were getting.
If you want to argue that David Bell made the whole thing up, that's one thing. If you want to argue that Sue and husband Marcus Evans, both of whom are now retired sort-of whistleblowers, are simply making some fuss to drum up sales on their new evil conversion therapy manual on psychotherapy for gender dysphoria, and that listening to them is dangerous because they hold the position that transition isn't the best choice for everyone dealing with gender dysphoria (which, as the concept becomes familiar to more people and registers to them as a legible way to talk about their distress, will itself necessarily become more common) then that's one thing. If you want to simply argue that it's bigoted for Bell not to approach the topic of medical intervention itself as one solely of identity rather than as a medical intervention offered for a problem, then that's one thing. Those are assertions that we could discuss. But to sit here and pick this minute bone tells me that you clicked that link and you saw something that bothered you, and that when it bothered you you typed this up and thought it would put the whole thing to bed for you. But I'll bet it didn't work and I really hope it doesn't, and that you investigate the claim further, and when you do that we can discuss evidence for and against the claim and if you come to think it's mostly bogus we can discuss that, but I'm not going to allow a conversation about funneling children into medical intervention as identity support to be derailed into a discussion about which office David Bell worked in. Let's focus in on a few of the things I found when I went to investigate this claim, largely presented by people who think they're getting on the right side of a civil rights movement by advocating for these practices.
Here's a video from 7 years ago of Johanna Olson-Kennedy, a doctor who was then working specifically with children at a children's hospital in LA, talking about the natural puberty of their bodies as "the wrong puberty" and positing puberty hormone blockers as the way to allow children to have the puberty that "corresponds to their brain," and making the argument that gender dysphoria isn't even a mental health issue at all. Absolute best case scenario, the concept of a medical professional telling a child that the natural and healthy process their body is going to embark on soon is WRONG would be shocking in any other context, especially when told to, as she claims, especially vulnerable children. She makes no mention of the fact that this intervention is one that allegedly is a treatment for the psychological distress called gender dysphoria and seems hostile even to that framing- in particular she seems very much to be advocating for making medical decisions based not on treatment of a problem but on identity crystallization and affirmation, conflating gender dysphoria (a form of psychological distress) and gender identity (a particular concept which some people, but not all, and frankly not most people feel is central to whether they are a man or a woman, or at least to describing what kind of person they want to be).
Here's the same doctor advocating for children to be able to get double mastectomies at 13 because they rarely regret it, implying that patients should get double mastectomies before they've been on testosterone for too long because testosterone can exacerbate the "mismatch" between one's overall look and one's chest, and implying that it is common for nipple sensation loss after double mastectomies to be temporary. Any doctor who works regularly with dysphoric people SHOULD know that we have a tendency to displace the distress- that many people take hormones and then think their face is too sexed or their hands or their hips or their whatever- so to hear her discuss perceived mismatch and relief at the removal of breasts as the way to fix it is alarming, because those of us who experience this problem know that usually the anxiety shifts and finds another point of focus, since the problem is not the fact that we have breasts. This doctor strikes me as functionally invoking the obsessive component so common in gender dysphoric people as proof that the treatment is working. At 11:19, a woman asks, "I'm a psychologist who works with trans youth and when I endorse them for surgery through the insurance companies, they want- there's a part of the form that says, 'I have discussed the complications or the problems with these procedures,' and just ethically, what am I supposed to say to them?" To be clear, this sounds like a mental health care professional who is entrusted with providing care for gender dysphoric people raising an ethical objection to the informed part of informed consent. Olson-Kennedy bizarrely frames this as a matter of transgender healthcare being designed to make cisgender people comfortable, laments that sometimes insurance companies "need" that to "feel okay about somebody else's body" as though these companies have feelings (another instance of what a lot of the people here share, a propensity to talk about absolute nonsense like corporations having feelings and the expectation that the audience will accept it as fact and move on) about what's best for individuals, and claims that it's unusual to need to inform patients of treatment risks in mental health care as though that would be a good thing if true for most patients, but says that mentioning nipple sensation loss and "dog ears" while also mentioning that patients rarely regret surgery should suffice. She then goes on to compare double mastectomies to choosing a college, to say that "if you want breasts later in life you can go and get them," to mock the concerns parents might have for their child's ability to even make future reproductive decisions as selfish fuss about grandchildren, and even to suggest that clinicians help arm-twist mothers into supporting their children's mastectomies by having them wear binders for a while to experience that discomfort since obviously it's the alternative to removing a teenagers breasts before that teen can even legally consent to sex, let alone sign a legally binding contract. She laughs at people who think "you can make" someone transgender, while being an advocate for puberty blockers despite the fact that almost all children who get on them will eventually be moved onto cross sex hormones.
This is where I am going to have to address what I'm sure is a new bone you'd like to pick. But, you may say, that video is posted by a group that clearly opposes pediatric transition outright! That seems to be true! You can agree or disagree with that position, but the video itself doesn't show Olson-Kennedy's words chopped and screwed or heavily minced, it shows her making her own case. I'm loading this because I'm sure that the overall bent of the channel is going to have a very ouchy impact on that nerve which you've trained yourself to look away when touched. If your curiosity or your own sense that you kind of have to look into the massive allegation here, drives you to look at more, you'll find things like
This video in which Diane Ehrensaft, developmental and clinical psychologist in the San Francisco Bay Area and the Director of Mental Health and founding member of the Child and Adolescent Gender Center run through UCSF, suggests in her care guidelines that clinicians should "help the child discover the gender position that feels most authentic" and "fortify the child's gender resilience" as though that means absolutely anything at all and is evidence supported medical guidance rather than a lot of massive ideological propositions about gender rolled into her ideal treatment model. She later refers to a child by saying that they "fully transitioned from male to female" between 3rd and 4th grade, chuckling as she says they were "post transition" at the age of 9. Obviously she's not referring to any surgical or likely even hormonal interventions, but it is striking to hear. In particular her point that one should fortify the child's gender resilience makes me deeply uncomfortable, because what I think she would say is that she means affirming the child in who they say they are, but I think that she means deepening the roots of the child's apparently coping mechanism of gender dysphoria. This is especially troubling to hear from a psychologist who should understand that children can only make claims using the concepts they have formed, such that a child who says their stomach hurts when they go to school is not lying about distress or even the symptom itself, but is using the language they have available to say, "I'm anxious!"
Here's a BBC Newsnight episode that details several relevant parts of the issue, given the context that in 2014 GIDS received NHS approval to begin giving puberty blockers to children as young as 11 years old despite the pronounced lack of evidence of what they'd do to things like brain development and bone development and despite the fact that a poorly designed study it (GIDS) built to address those questions had only just begun. The policy change came after the number of children referred to GIDS shot from 97 in 2009/10 to 969 in 2015/16 to 2,590 on 2018/19, and in 2015/16 that included one three year old and three four year olds.
You're trying to change the point for the sake of your own comfort, and I won't let you and I genuinely think you deserve better than trying to make yourself comfortable with something that makes you uncomfortable. Here are my conclusions: I took a peek and I got a view at what strikes me very clearly as a medical scandal, and one that upsets me particularly as someone who experiences gender dysphoria and finds it disturbing to see a doctor who's in charge of a children's gender clinic saying nonsense about gender resilience about children in a state of emotional distress, or telling children that their natural and healthy puberty can be "wrong" puberty. At its core, these interventions only make sense if you believe that a female child is can be a boy who is LITERALLY stuck in the "wrong" body and that therefore all your interventions on the body are actually addressing the problem, the "wrong" element. If, on the other hand, you think these individuals are suffering from a set of very complex forms of emotional distress, sometimes in reaction to gender itself and sometimes just happening to utilize as a vehicle for the distress a major framework that children get very early in their development (the distinction between male and female is one of a few concepts children start to reliably understand quite early, and therefore it is reasonable even in children who are not gender nonconforming that one of the first ways they might be able to vocalize their distress is through that concept) then this looks like medical professionals telling children there's something wrong with their bodies when there factually is not and COULD not be, and suggesting making interventions on a body that's literally not the problem. For a child to tell you they were born in the wrong body is one thing- it is metaphorical language the child is using to express a real desire or real distress- but for a doctor to tell a child they could be born in the wrong body, as though any of us were SUPPOSED to be born anything let alone the other sex, that's irresponsible toying with people who don't yet understand even the basic frameworks at play here and therefore can't even understand that they're being medicalized on the basis of ideology and not on the basis of medicine.
To be very clear, it's one thing for adults to be making hopefully informed decision. Obviously I don't believe it is possible to actually change sexes, but adults who have a clear understanding of that concept and of what they are actually doing by pursuing transition (which is changing things about their body that cause them emotional distress and doing so in a way that will facilitate other people seeing them the way they want to be seen) can look at the pros and cons of transition as medical intervention and decide how they weigh things like finding clothing easily and sexual satisfaction. That's one set of questions to consider. It's another to be messing around with children's core concepts by telling them that their bodies could even POSSIBLY be "wrong" before they've reached the age, around 7 for most children, when they can even developmentally grasp the concept of sex constancy- that people who are female, for instance, are female all the time even if you put them in "male" clothing. These doctors are talking about identity affirmation and how children know who they are because gender identity because they've read the books and done the work you bigot! None of them are asking what condition they're treating, whether the treatment works reliably, or what working even means. They also seem shocked that a child who's in such severe distress that they've even landed at GIDS to begin with would not just find their way out of gender dysphoria in a couple of years while in therapy at clinics that encourage them to see their emotional distress as indicating an essential component of their baseline identity, and that their distress might only grow as their peers all develop and they remain literally incapable of developing more emotional tools to cope with the distress they're experiencing because a doctor paused their brain development on purpose due to favoring cosmetic changes that allow children a better opportunity to be visually perceived as the opposite sex over all of the risks associated with blockers. So maybe you look at all of this and see absolutely nothing, but I looked and I see something, so I'm going to say something. I hope that if you see something, you begin to find yourself able to say something as well, at least in the context of safe private relationships where you should be able to discuss ideas on their own merits without being interpreted in the least charitable light possible.

Pokespe Evil Team AU Because Procrastinating Is My Job
So basically this is an au where the dexholders are leaders/admins of an evil team. This isn't an au where the dex holders join the evil teams, but one where they make the evil team. And actually do a good job...
Kanto Dex Holders: Team Myth. For the Kanto team I was thinking of an illegal fighting ring. Basically they force pokemon to fight each other with no trainer for the entertainment of others. They would have key locations in more remote locations where no one would expect. Like in the Pokémon Mansion, the Power Plant or under Pokémon Tower. Because who would think there is an illegal fighting ring under a graveyard? I named it Team Myth because no one can catch them, thus they seem like a Myth. Now onto their roles:
Red: Red is the admin found in the Power Plant. I originally wanted to make him the leader, but then I realized he isn't patient enough for it and it really doesn't fit his character. Thus he is an admin. His fighting ring would be the only one that occasionally allows trainers to battle with rented pokemon against other trainers. The fights would be to the death in this case since they are considered more advanced. You can also challenge Red to a fight and if you win he will give you a lollipop. To get to the fighting ring you need to traverse through the power plant until you reach an unnatural looking dead end. If you pull on the tail of a pikachu statue found there, a door opens.
Green: Green is the team leader. His calculative and somewhat cold nature really fits the role of a mafia boss. The main base of Team Myth would be in Pallet Town, his hometown. It would be hidden under the lab. Green being the professor's assistant is able to keep it all a secret. The entrance would be hidden under the bookshelf the the right corner. The classic, you pull a book and there is a secret staircase behind the wall. The hideout is divided in 4 parts that have the floor color coded so you know who it belongs to. To get to Green you'd have to defeat all 3 of the other admins and get a special key. Once you have all 3 keys, you can enter his section of the hideout.
Blue: Blue is the admin under the Pokémon Tower. Her whole gimmick was being a con lady so of course she is running the biggest con. People think she comes to Pokémon Tower and donates money to it out of the goodness of her heart. In reality she manages the biggest fighting ring. Her fighting ring would have more rare pokemon from other regions, like Drapion or Alolan Marowak. To get to it you need to get to the last floor of the tower and push on a brick on the wall behind the two statues. There is a secret elevator that will take you to the fighting ring.
Yellow: Yellow is in charge of the Pokémon Mansion fighting ring. She managed to transform the place into a ”sanctuary” for pokemon. The first floor has pokemon in small natural habitats, the basement is the staffroom for the people that work there and the last two floors are off limits because they house the fighting ring. People donate pokemon to the sanctuary and Yellow brings the strongest ones to the fighting ring. To get to the fighting ring you need to go to the security guard at the entrance of the stairs and pay him 1000 pokedollars to let you in as well as a special invite.
Johto Dex Holders: Team Toxicus. They are in charge of illegal experiments. They capture pokemon from the wild/steal them/have them bred and use them for experiments. This ranges from harmless ”how does this pokemon react in this situation” to testing drugs on them. They would work closely with Team Myth and sell them pokemon with perfect IVs, EVs, specific natures and abilities. Their key locations are in easy to access places or in spots with a lot of pokemon like the Daycare on Route 34, Azalea Town and Goldenrod City.  I called it Team Toxicus as a reference to their experiments.
Gold: Gold is an admin. Again, his personality doesn't really fit the leader persona to me. He owns the daycare on route 34 and the lab under it. Trainers leave their pokemon with him and he steals their egg. ”Yeah sorry, no egg this time. Your pokemon must really hate each other.” Then the eggs are taken to the lab where they are hatched, raised and send to experimentation. To enter the lab you need to get behind the counter and manually set the clock hands to 2:02. A secret trapdoor will open in the place where pokemon stay.
Crystal: Crystal is the boss. We all know that the Johtrio shares one braincell and Crystal has it 95% of the time. So she gets to be the boss. Unlike Team Myth, Team Toxicus doesn't have a ”main base”. The whole operation has 3 labs rotate pokemon between each other that are also designed like hideouts. Crystal's lab is in Violet City, next to Ilex Forest. Pokemon are captured from the forest and brought in the lab for experimentation. The lab is underneath the Poké Mart. To get in you ask the Poké Mart clerk for ”a golden pokeball” and he will take you to the back from where you can take a ladder down.
Silver: Silver is also an admin. Making papa Giovanni proud. Silver works closely with evil teams from other regions in order to obtain rare pokemon not normally found in Johto. His lab is in Goldenrod City because it's a port city and it has easy access to cargo ships. He buys/trades pokemon for ones found in other regions and takes them to the lab for experimentation. The lab is in the Magnet Train station. To get to it you need to go on the platform and search for a red tile. You take out the tile and jump into a hole that leads to the hideout.
Hoenn Dex Holders: Team Triad. They are pokemon traficants. They steal or buy pokemon from other teams and then sell them on the black market. ”You want that shiny Milotic for contests but Feebas is too hard to find? You want to be champion but breeding for perfect IVs is too much work for you? Want to defeat the battle frontier but don't want to train a new team of pokemon? Team Triad has you covered.” Team Triad has only one base, in Mauville City. It is under the closed Game Corner and to get to it you make a pokemon use Strength on one of the slot machines. It reveals a secret trapdoor underneath. I named it Team Triad for obvious reasons.
Ruby: Ruby is an admin. Team Triad is run by all 3 of its admins, so there is no boss. He is the one that works with teams from other regions to get pokemon. The hideout has three floors and Ruby has the first floor. His floor is very elegant and is specifically designed for business deals.
Sapphire: Sapphire is the one in charge of capturing pokemon so she rarely spends time at the hideout. She goes out a lot with the grunts to steal pokemon or capture them. She has the second floor, but since she is rarely at the hideout, its the least decorated.
Emerald: Emerald is the one that actually raises the pokemon and trains them. He receives newly hatched pokemon from Team Toxicus that he trains to their fullest potential. He has the last floor and its designed specifically to train pokemon. He grows berries in there, has soil from a pokemon's birthplace and a lot of training equipment.
Sinnoh Dex Holders: Team Relic. Sinnoh has a lot of history and rare relics lying around, so I decided they own a smuggling ring. They smuggle rare items like Master Balls, rare held items and relics that have a strong connection to legendary pokemon. The blue and red orb? The azure flute? Griseous orb? They have all of them. They sell these items on the black market to collectors and desperate trainers. This team also only has only one hideout but they also own a lot deposits across the region where the items are held. The hideout is in the Berlitz mansion for obvious reasons. Again I chose the name for obvious reasons.
Diamond and Pearl: They are a package deal. Both admins. They travel the regions under the disguise of being a comedy duo. They use this act in order to learn where they can find rare items that they can steal. They also work closely with the Unova team. When they aren't all over the region, they act as Platina's bodyguards.
Platina: She is the mastermind behind this whole thing. She uses the money received from the Grand Hotels all over the region to fund the whole operation. She transformed her mansion into a hideout and is the one that strikes most deals.
Unova Dex Holders: The region that actually what gave me the idea to write this, because one night I thought to myself ”White could totally use the money she makes from the BW Agency to make an evil team and take over the region if she wanted to”. As for the name of the evil team: BW Agency. You all saw that coming. The BW Agency uses the disguise of an acting agency to hide their illegal items manufacturing. They create Master Balls, rare items and forgeries. They are the team with the most bases, having them all over the region. The most important ones are in Virbank City, Nimbasa City, Castelia City and Accumula Town.
Black: Black is an admin and White's bodyguard. He joins White during business meeting and helps her with whatever he can. When he isn't with White he spends his time at his base in Castelia City training the grunts and their pokemon. The hideout is underneath the Battle Company and to get to it you need to take a secret elevator found under the statue in the lobby.
White: White is the boss for very obvious reasons. She runs both the acting and illegal manufacturing aspects of the agency. She works closely with Team Relic and is good friends with Platina. The main base is in Virbank City, underneath Pokéstar Studios. To get to the base you need to go inside the dressing room and move the biggest painting, behind it there is a tunnel that leads to the hideout.
Lack-Two: Lack-Two is an admin and a secret spy inside the International Police. He pretends to be an officer that spies on the BW Agency when in reality he is spying on the police. A double agent basically. His base is in Nimbasa City. The hideout is underneath the Musical Theater, to get in you need to tell the owner that ”Ms. White from the BW Agency sent me to retrieve the black Prop Case” and he will take you underneath the stage where there is a secret elevator.
Whi-Two: Whi-Two is also an admin. She is in charge of the team's pokemon. She makes sure that they are fed and in top condition in case something happens. Her base is the smallest of the main 4 and in Accumula Town under the Pokemon Center. To get to it you need to go behind Nurse Joy's healing machine, if you move it there is a secret passageway.
Kalos Dex Holders: Team Z. Lame name, ik but I'm kinda running out of ideas for team names. They also do experiments but on mega evolution, they are experimenting to see if you can force a pokemon to mega evolve permanently. The team is co-run by X and Y. They are pretty efficient as they divided the tasks fifty-fifty. They have 6 small bases, 2 of which are in Lumiose and 1 big one in Anistar, that is considered the main base. If you use dive near the Sundial you can reach the secret base that is underneath it.
X: X is in charge of training the grunts and their pokemon and supervises the progress of the lab experiments. He is also the one that test if an experiment was a success by trying to battle with the pokemon.
Y: Y is the one that brings new cargo to the hideouts as well as capturing pokemon that are capable of mega evolving. She works closely with the BW Agency since they provide her with Master Balls.
Alola Dex Holders: The Delivia Company. They are a delivery company that secretly researches a way to amplify moves using Z-Crystal and illegally sells rare pokemon from Kanto, like Kantonian Persian and Vulpix. They have at least 1 base on each of the islands. Their most important ones are in Aether Paradise and Malie City.
Sun: Sun is the boss. When he couldn't get Aether Paradise back by normal means, he decided to create an evil team with strong pokemon to get it back. He succeeded and transformed the island into the main hideout of his evil team.
Moon: Moon is an admin and manages the pokemon and 85% of paperwork. She is also one of the main researchers and spends a lot of time in the lab in Malie City. The lab is underneath Malie Library, to get in you need to rotate one of the small golden statues found on the railing at the bottom of the staircase. This will open a trap door in the floor that reveals more stairs going down.

Court Hallway
After the trial ended, I did not leave immediately. Rather, I waited in the hallway for Hang Jiahe.
Soon, she walked over, guarded by two bailiffs.
MC: Miss Hang.
Tumblr media
Hang Jiahe: What are you doing here? Are you going to laugh at me?
Hang Jiahe: Are you happy to have beat me?
MC: You’ve misunderstood. I came to tell you something.
Hang Jiahe: What?
MC: Actually… this examination report…
I took out that last examination report again.
MC: Due to time and technical limits, we currently do not have the identification results.
MC: When I showed it in court, I just wanted to add psychological pressure onto you.
Hang Jiahe: …
Hang Jiahe froze for a few seconds, but she then responded quickly.
Hang Jiahe: You tricked me… you tricked me… hahahahahahaha!
She suddenly burst into sharp laughter.
Hang Jiahe: I didn’t lose… I didn’t lose…
Hang Jiahe: I still got my revenge!
MC: …
MC: Miss Hang, can I ask you something?
Tumblr media
Hang Jiahe: What do you want to say?
MC: You said in court that Qi Yu tried to hold Hang Fei back “that night”.
MC: But you still murdered her out of hate for her bystander position, correct?
Hang Jiahe: Yes, I hated her for being a coward, hated her for being too scared to resist Hang Fei, hated her for looking on for so many years without lifting a finger!
Hang Jiahe: She knew during those years what Hang Fei was doing to me, so why didn’t she save me?
MC: …
Hang Jiahe: Then… did you know that Hang Fei had also been abusing Qi Yu during those years?
Hang Jiahe: I did. How could she not have been beaten, with how cowardly she was?
MC: Then do you know why she was beaten?
Hang Jiahe: Why?
MC: …
I took out my phone and opened a video featuring Qi Yu’s abuse. That small woman was lying weakly on the floor, passively enduring the man’s punches and kicks. But she kept mumbling something –
“Don’t hurt Jiahe… and those children… stop it…”
Tumblr media
Hang Jiahe: What…
MC: Miss Hang, did Qi Yu never do anything during all those times you were abused?
MC: Are you sure that every time, she chose to be a bystander, rather than being forced into her position?
MC: Did you know that Qi Yu said those words in each of the videos she was beaten in?
Hang Jiahe: I…
Hang Jiahe froze for a second, but then she immediately reacted.
Hang Jiahe: So what, then? What do you want to say?
Hang Jiahe: That I misunderstood her? That I shouldn’t have killed her? Then does all the pain I suffered for so many years even matter?
Hang Jiahe: You want me to absolve her? To forgive her?
MC: You’ve misunderstood. That’s not what I mean.
MC: I am not you. I have not endured your suffering, so I cannot request for you to forgive anyone.
MC: I haven’t seen what happened during those years, so I cannot judge whether Qi Yu was actively or passively making her decisions.
MC: And I definitely can’t carelessly determine whether she sinned or not.
I stopped for a moment and looked at Hang Jiahe’s gloves.
In her mind, she probably was the Count of Monte Cristo, Edmond Dantès – someone who had been wronged and could only get revenge for herself. She believed herself as intelligent and as lucky as Edmond, that she would ultimately be the winner. But…
MC: But even Edmond would figure out the situation before his revenge and repay his benefactors.
MC: I’m telling you this, only because I hope you’ll understand what sorts of people you sent away.
MC: I hope you understand that there have been people who intended to treat you kindly.
Hang Jiahe: …
MC: Also, Miss Hang, I can guess why you were not willing to ask for help from the police.
MC: In that sort of situation, you may have thought that you couldn’t rely on the outside world to go against them.
MC: But even so, me, Captain Morgan, and many, many people still have to do something.
I flipped further into the examination report.
MC: Even if Hang Fei is gone, the things he’s done will not disappear with him.
MC: This is the report we’ve created. Captain Morgan’s already sent it to upper management and applied for international cooperation.
MC: Miss Hang, we will bring you the justice you deserve for the pain you’ve experienced.
MC: As for the last few people, I promise that they will receive the punishment they deserve.
MC: So, for the rest of your life, please don’t live in hate.
MC: You’ve already stayed in the darkness for long enough. Please try to take a step forward.
MC: Doesn’t it say that in your beloved “The Count of Monte Cristo”?
MC: “He who has felt the deepest grief is best able to experience supreme happiness.”
MC: Miss Hang, if possible, please try it.
MC: Perhaps the light you’ve always been searching for isn’t too far away.
Hang Jiahe: …
Hang Jiahe: Ha… ha… hahahahaha!
Hang Jiahe broke into sudden, sharp laughter. It sounded like a heartrending sob was woven in it, as it resounded in the empty hallway, melting into the rain.
Amid the grey deluge of rain, specks of light leaked through. Maybe the downpour would finally end this time.
Not long after, Simon’s homicide case opened trial, and Wang Chunchong was deemed the murderer. Xingrui Estates declared that they would be depriving Xu Yin of her position and removing her from the family. Only Tyson received the weakest blow, as the evidence for instigation of murder was insufficient. However, lots of people online were saying that they hoped he would “succumb to the demon of illness as soon as possible”.
Thus, the homicide case of the couple in Yaofu Community came to an end.

NXX Base
After the Hang Jiahe case concluded, the NXX investigation team met up at the base again for discussion.
MC: That’s how the Hang Jiahe case went.
Tumblr media
Marius: Thanks for your hard work!
Artem: Thanks for your hard work. You did excellently.
Luke and Vyn nodded at me.
MC: Thanks, everyone.
MC: Enough about me – how’s everyone else’s investigation?
Artem: I’ve already updated Tyson’s case file. I haven’t found any new clues for now.
Marius: I followed what Wang Chunchong said and investigated that guy named Xiao Ren, but…
Marius: I haven’t found anything for now.
Luke: You also found out about Xiao Ren?
Marius: Huh?
Vyn: What a coincidence. I, too, found out about him.
MC: !!!
Luke: Marius, what information do you have on Xiao Ren right now?
Marius: Mainly what Wang Chunchong told me before.
Marius sighed.
Marius: According to Wang Chunchong, Xiao Ren is linked to Heirson’s raw materials purchases.
Marius: Tyson held Xiao Ren to very high regard, and keeps his occupational information on severe confidential status.
Marius: All in all, this person seems pretty mysterious.
Marius: What about you, Luke? What did you find?
Tumblr media
Luke: The aunties in the group told me that Zhao Fei kept looking for someone called “Xiao Ren”.
Luke: I suspect that Tyson brought up this person in the recording that he sent him.
Marius: That’s possible. Wang Chunchong also heard Tyson bring up Xiao Ren, so there should be some sort of link between them.
Artem: Luke, that’s not all the information that the assistive team provided you, is it?
Luke: Yep, that’s not all.
Luke: First, the workers in Heirson where the abnormalities appeared were mostly on the production front lines, so what they touch the most are the products.
Vyn: They probably mixed in their developed illegal drugs into the products, resulting in infection.
Luke: That’s right.
Luke: Secondly, about Zhao Fei…
Luke ripped out a page from his notebook and placed it on the table.
Artem: These names are…
Luke: When I was questioning these ten people about Zhao Fei, their reactions were a bit abnormal. I suspect that…
Luke: They’re the ones hiding Zhao Fei.
MC: What about you, then, Dr. Richter? You just said that you also found out about Xiao Ren.
Vyn: I spoke with half of the 20 special respondents and noticed that it was the same doctor in charge of their examinations.
Vyn: And that person is named “Xiao Ren”.
Vyn: So I suspect that this person knows many secrets regarding Heirson’s experimental data.
MC: If so, this Xiao Ren person knows about where raw materials come from and can deal with the experimental data…
MC: If we can find him, we might be able to patch up the missing part in our evidence chain against Heirson.
Marius: So this Xiao Ren is going to be our investigative focal point from now on?
Luke: Leave it to me, then. I’m the best when it comes to finding people.
Artem: Then leave Zhao Fei to me. I just happen to have something I want to confirm with him.
Vyn: I have only met with the special patients. I will continue to meet with the remaining bunch.
Vyn: Marius, what are your plans?
Marius: Me? I plan to go see Hang Jiahe.
Marius: She wanted to find reporters in the past to drop major news about Heirson, and she’s now in jail…
Marius: We should find out what this news is.
MC: Oh yeah, I’d forgotten about that!
Marius: So, jiejie, want to come with me to see Hang Jiahe? After all, only the two of us know her the best.
Tumblr media
MC: Uh…
I suddenly had a bad feeling.
Tumblr media
Luke: Marius, do you really need someone to accompany you just to go see someone?
Marius: I’m not going to see a typical person, am I? I’m going to see someone who might give us an important clue.
Marius: It makes sense to be a little more cautious and bring someone else.
Luke: Then just bring your assistant. If anything else, then bring some recording equipment.
Luke: Convenient, and it can record in real time.
MC: …
Right after, Artem spoke.
Tumblr media
Artem: Zhao Fei’s case was ours to begin with, and now that we have clues…
Artem: MC, let’s finish it off, alright?
MC: Lawyer Wing…
Tumblr media
Vyn: I may be overstepping, but…
Vyn stepped in just before Artem could speak again.
Vyn: May I trouble you to go with me next?
Vyn: There’s a special patient that I need your assistance with.
Faced with their “eager” eyes, I was very sure that –
The investigation team seriously needs to recruit a new member!

Ok I’m finally posting this @wingsy-keeper-of-songs.
(Some of) My Hancock hc’s. I’ve broken them down further into categories beyond the read more :-) taggin this bc i feel the hancock tag is in need a cleanse.
APPEARENCE
- Knows how to sew and takes great care of his clothing, particularly his frock coat. No ripped / falling apart seams in goodneighbor no ma’am. and yes, he does have more than one outfit
- Big on good hygiene! There’s a reason goodneighbor has decent plumbing lol
- 5′9. no, im not arguing on this.
PHYSICAL / MENTAL
- doesn’t ever really sleep. Dozing, sure, but a deep sleep for him hasn’t happened since he turned into a ghoul. Cat naps are frequent but never more than 30 minutes. This threw lizzy for a loop the first time they ever slept together lol. Going off this, when he does doze, he uses his hat to cover his eyes. Makes people think he’s asleep despite being aware of his surroundings and gives his eyes a break from the lights
- Sensitive to bright lights, especially fluorescent which is why candles / oil lamps are used throughout the entire of the state house. He likes the look of neon lights which is why they’re heavily used throughout the exterior of GN
- avoids heavy drinking unless he’s alone or fahr is present because he tends to spiral
RELEATIONSHIPS: daisy
- Daisy became a close confidant of his before Fahrenheit came into the picture. Actually kept him outta trouble during his drifting days
RELATIONSHIPS: fahrenheit
- He taught Fahr how to play chess
- Met Fahr a bit after he became mayor. The watch caught her trying to steal food from one of the warehouses, so he decided to take her under his wing. I’m honestly considering writing a short run off about their relationship tbh bc it wouldn’t really make sense to put into my main story
- Fahr is the only person to see him cry (except lizzy but I’m not counting her rn). Fahr has seen a lot of actual John rather than the Hancock persona which is why she’s so…almost territorial over him. She also would continue to be his bodyguard/advisor even if he didn’t pay her (tho he doesn’t believe this much to her dismay)
RELATIONSHIPS: ETC
- Established a safe trade route between goodneighbor and the slog that he allows the railroad to use while escorting runaway synths. Ghouls will also use this route to avoid any unwanted attention
- If he’s not doing meetings or business in the state house then he’s outside visiting residents or bothering Daisy lol. This is how lizzy discovered how adored he is by everyone. People stopping what they’re doing just to greet him, children asking him for caps to buy sweets (referred to as mr. Hancock).
- Has connections with Mother Isolde. you wonder how he got ahold of that experimental drug? like the covenant im in the process of revamping the crater of atom. i actually adore the children of atom and think they’re a super cool (i like the complexity of cults leave me be pls). plus, they’re the only COA in the commonwealth that don’t attack on sight so
- Has a trade going on with Jack Cabot
MAYORAL...ESQUE
- Will absolutely use physical force during interrogations but usually has Fahr deal with those issues. If Hancock gets involved that’s how you know shit is about to go down.
- Usually leaves the killing to Fahr as she likes doing it and he doesn’t like the mess, BUT will do it to make a point/send a message. Preferred method is a quick stabbing, but has used a shotgun at close range for a select few menaces
- does bi-weekly community meetings with residents to make sure any concerns are taken care of swiftly
FOOD / DRINK / DRUG
- Knows how to cook but doesn’t do it a lot
- Loves sugar bombs because they remind him of his childhood.
- Absinthe, brandy, whiskey. That’s it.
- Berry mentats are his absolute favorite
- smoking became an unintentional; addiction. he actually had plans to quit prior to becoming a ghoul, but gave up post ghoulification because it adds to his ~look~ and due to his extended lifespan
RECREATION / HOBBIES
- Record player is always on. He lives for having background music. Hypes up his main character complex
- Billie holiday and frank sinatra are his favorites, but has a soft spot for the beach boys.
- plays chess and poker most often, but also enjoys pre war board games like blast radius or catch the commie
- Tends to pace / wander around goodneighbor at night when he can’t relax.
- reads whatever he can get his hands on, but especially loves material regarding prewar commonwealth.

Dylan O'Brien - NME Magazine Interview
Tumblr media
Dylan O’Brien: “I was in this transitional phase – close to a quarter-life crisis”
From YA heartthrob to legitimate leading man – how the 'Maze Runner' star hit his stride after a whirlwind decade
Definitely!” hoots Dylan O’Brien when NME asks if he still has to audition. “I’m not Tom fucking Hanks, bro.” He’s clearly amused by our question, but forgive us for thinking the 29-year-old actor gets cast on reputation alone. A decade into his career, and he’s making an impressive transition from teen TV star and YA franchise hero to charismatic leading man.
New York-born O’Brien cut his teeth on MTV’s hit Teen Wolf series, before landing the lead in the Maze Runner film trilogy based on James Dashner’s hugely popular novels. Leading a band of bright young things that included ex-Skins tearaway Kaya Scodelario, Game Of Thrones’ Thomas Brodie-Sangster and Will Poulter, he honed his craft while racking up nearly a billion dollars at the box office. “My career is a constant acting class,” says O’Brien. “To be able to do the Maze Runner movies simultaneously with Teen Wolf was amazing in terms of getting in reps and working my [acting] muscle.”
Tumblr media
Now for the sometimes tricky bit. Many actors struggle with the post-breakout period, but O’Brien is making it look easy so far. This year’s Netflix hit Love and Monsters proved he can carry an old-school family adventure, and new film Flashback (out next week) reveals an appetite for weirder, more cerebral work. He stars as Fred Fitzell, a young man reluctant to buckle down to life as a nine-to-fiver with a boring corporate job and a long-term girlfriend (Mindhunter‘s Hannah Gross). When he runs into a freaky-looking acquaintance from his teenage years, Fred becomes obsessed with finding an old high-school friend he used to drop a mind-bending experimental drug called Mercury with. It’s difficult to say any more without entering spoiler territory, but Flashback is a wild ride underpinned by the idea that we can exist in several realities at once. Even if you follow every plot twist, you might not fully understand the end. “Oh, it’s definitely a headfuck,” O’Brien agrees. “There’s not totally an answer to figure out. There’s a lot of different things that people can take from it.”
Speaking over Zoom from his LA home, O’Brien is bright, thoughtful and really good fun to talk to, especially when he relaxes into the interview, but he clearly knows where his line between public and private lies. When he first read the Flashback script, written by the film’s director Christopher MacBride, his “mind was blown” by just how much he related to Fred. “I felt like I was in this transitional phase of my life that was, you know, sort of close to a quarter-life crisis type thing,” he says. “For whatever reason, it was like me and this script were meant to be. I remember reading it and thinking: ‘I am this guy right now.'”
“There were a lot of things in my personal life that were neglected for a while”
When we ask why O’Brien felt as though he had reached a “transitional phase”, he gives an answer that’s vague but not exactly evasive. For understandable reasons, he doesn’t mention the incredibly traumatic motorcycle accident he sustained while shooting the final Maze Runner film in March 2016. O’Brien suffered severe trauma to the brain and said in 2017 that he underwent extensive facial reconstructive surgery after the accident “broke most of the right side of my face”. Tellingly, he’s never really revealed what happened on set or how it affected him.
Today, O’Brien dances around the details of the accident and other issues he was dealing with at the time, but doesn’t shy away from discussing his inner conflict. “You know, it was a lot of personal things combined with at-a-point-in-my-career things,” he says after a brief pause. He says he’d have been going through some of this stuff anyway, simply because of his age, but it sounds as though success intensified it all. “It was like this whole fucking storm of shit,” he continues. “I was simultaneously so fulfilled and happy about these, like, otherworldly and surreal things that I had experienced in terms of where my career had brought me. I had all this confidence and fulfilment and beautiful people [in my life] – such amazing things to experience at a young age. But at the same time, there were a lot of things in my personal life that were unchecked and sort of neglected for a while.”
Tumblr media
O’Brien says that in time, he realised he had to “stop for a second” and “re-explore how I wanted my life to look going forward”. In fairness, you can see why he needed a breather: his career took off while he was still a teenager. After his family moved from New Jersey to Los Angeles County when he was 12, O’Brien contemplated a career as a sports broadcaster – his Twitter bio still bills him as a “no longer suffering Mets fan” – then began posting YouTube videos as moviekidd826. A funny, slickly edited skit titled ‘How to Prepare for the SAT in 45 seconds’, shared when he was just 17, shows he was a born performer and storyteller. YouTube success led to him getting a manager, but his breakthrough role in Teen Wolf still came out of the blue. At the time, he was treading water at a local community college and taking auditions on the side.
Still, he has since taken a rather fatalistic view of this career-making moment. “It’s totally weird because, when I think about it now, I don’t see how it could have happened any other way. I can’t picture myself doing anything else now,” he told Collider in 2011. “It was really sudden and a little random, and not provoked by anything. It was just out of nowhere. It wasn’t my intentional doing.” Today, O’Brien summarises his skyscraper career trajectory succinctly. “I guess I just graduated high school and started acting,” he says. “And then I felt like I was just flying by the seat of my pants and never got a chance to stop.” Thankfully, straight-out-the-blocks Hollywood success hasn’t taken away his sense of perspective. When I say how easy social media makes it to compare yourself unfavourably to others, O’Brien jumps in: “Yeah, that’s very true. I was watching the Billie Eilish doc the other day, and I was like, I’ve done nothing. I’m not an artist at all!”
“No one thought ‘Love and Monsters’ was going to be good!”
O’Brien is also self-deprecating when he talks about being cast in Flashback, suggesting it happened because he had such an intense connection with Fred. “I was honestly like, ‘Who is watching me right now?’ That is the best way I can describe how I was feeling when I came across this script,” he says. “Chris [MacBride, director] and I had this conversation that went so well in terms of [my] understanding this script that I think he’d sent around a lot and [that] very commonly wasn’t understood. I think Chris has even said that the night before shooting, he suddenly had this thought, like, ‘Wait, do I even think he’s a good actor?'”
Though O’Brien has firmly ring-fenced elements of his private life, he’s actually pretty frank about his acting vehicles. He readily admits he was expecting a snobbish response to Love and Monsters, a CGI-heavy hybrid of post-apocalyptic action and romcom that dropped on Netflix in April and topped the streamer’s daily most-watched list. “It means so much that Love and Monsters has gotten the response that it’s gotten,” O’Brien says. “No one thought this movie was going to be good.” His blunt honesty makes me laugh out loud. “No one did though!” he says in response. “And so, fuck that. You know, most of the people who say something to me about the movie, they’re like: ‘I watched Love and Monsters, and it was… good?’ And honestly, that just cracks me up.” For obvious reasons, we hastily decide not to share our response to the film – namely, that it was a whole lot better than expected.
Tumblr media
In Love and Monsters, O’Brien plays Joel, a survivor of a so-called “monsterpocalypse” that has bumped humans to the bottom of the food chain. Though he’s known in his colony as a bit of a coward, Joel sets off on a treacherous 80-mile journey to find his high school sweetheart Aimee (Iron Fist‘s Jessica Henwick), which means evading the hungry clutches of various supersize grizzlies including a giant monster-frog hiding in a suburban pond. It’s a simple but pretty out-there premise that wouldn’t work if O’Brien’s performance was even slightly condescending. Instead, his unselfconscious sincerity really sells a film that has as much in common with the family-oriented Robin Williams movie Night at the Museum as darker fare like The Walking Dead.
His obvious affection for the project really comes across during our interview today. “When I read the script, I just thought it was so sweet and funny and smart and unique, but at the same time reminiscent of all these movies that don’t really get made any more,” he says. That’s a fair point: Love and Monsters is neither a fail-safe superhero movie nor a slice of classy Oscar bait. “And when they were talking about how to market this movie, it was so funny hearing all these conversations like, ‘How do we actually get people to watch it?'” he adds. “But that’s a big part of the reason I wanted to do this movie: because it felt like something I missed seeing.”
“I’m lucky to be surrounded by people who want to make something out of love”
So in a way, Love and Monsters was a risk for an actor seeking to establish himself outside of a bankable movie franchise and a hit TV show. O’Brien has only made four films since his final Maze Runner outing in 2018, and insists he hasn’t been tactical with his choices. “I don’t have anyone saying, ‘We need to get you in an Oscar vehicle’, or any of that kind of shit,” he says. “I’m really lucky to be surrounded by people who think like me: that you should do what you’re drawn to, and make something out of love.”
He’s recently finished shooting a mysterious crime thriller called The Outfit in London with Mark Rylance. Directed and co-written by Graham Moore, who won an Oscar for his screenplay to Alan Turing biopic The Imitation Game, O’Brien calls it “quite possibly one of the most special pieces of writing I’ve ever experienced”. He first read the script on a plane and says he “actually stood up and clapped” when he got to the end. Considering O’Brien probably wasn’t flying Ryanair, this reaction presumably attracted a few baffled glances.
Tumblr media
Anyway, it must be pretty intimidating walking onto set with Rylance, a multi-award-winning actor revered by his peers – Al Pacino once said he “speaks Shakespeare as if it was written for him the night before” – but it sounds as though O’Brien took it all in stride. He says he’s confident in his abilities, but admits to having a slight wobble whenever he begins a new project. “I’m always sort of re-questioning everything – like, ‘Can I even act?'” he says. “But I think there’s something very natural about that. I think even Rylance could relate to that feeling. Acting is like starting a new year at school every single time.”
At this point in his career, O’Brien has made peace with the fact that some people will have preconceptions about him based on what he’s known for: Maze Runner and Teen Wolf. “People will put you in a box no matter what,” he says. “There was definitely a time when that would get to me, especially when it felt like somebody had a perspective on me that in my soul, I just felt wasn’t accurate.” Still, there’s no doubt he wants to show us what’s really in his soul with more films like Flashback. “If anything,” he adds bullishly, “it just makes me think: ‘Right, I’m really gonna show them now’.”
‘Flashback’ is out on digital platforms from June 4

Mission Debrief: Chapter 43
Tumblr media
...IT’S HAPPENING! IT’S HAPPENING! IT’S HAPPENING-!
Alright, before we get into it- full disclosure; the hivemind is in full swing at the Operation Strix discord server, so pretty much anything I write here is going to be an amalgamation of all the conspiracy theories and reactions we vomited out as soon as the chapter dropped. On that same note, I think writing these the day after will start to be the norm. Just so I have the chance to calm myself before going on a twenty-page tangent about everything Endo may or may not be planning.
Okay [deep breath] let’s get into it.
First, let’s start off with Franky, before we get into the juicy stuff.
Tumblr media
When the chapter first started, I thought we were going to get backstory on Franky. Endo seemed to be alluding to this on his twitter page, and I was actually interested in possibly seeing more about his and Twilight’s relationship. Of course that didn’t end up happening; instead we got another side story about Franky trying to get some action by finding a lady’s lost cat, but seeing as how it’s Franky we’re talking about it seemed appropriate. Also, how can I be upset when-
Tumblr media
The princess herself arrives! I gotta say, I loved the lightheartedness of most of this chapter. Yor’s always a delight, and pairing her together with Franky was a smart move on Endo’s part. They built off each other’s wackiness and I love this moment with the two of them. Just like with Twilight, we see that Franky genuinely wants to make the world a better place (and also get rich along the way) and Yor’s so impressed with him. I also liked that moment where Franky is surprised to find Yor still playing Loid’s wife even when he isn’t there- much like how he was with Anya while he was babysitting her. Just another little nod to the fact that he sees the Forger girls as being more than players in a game of elaborate house.
Tumblr media
Then- just a quick thing before we get into what I know we all want to talk about- it’s interesting to me that Franky isn’t a one-man operation. He has a whole network of informants that he works with, and it makes sense that someone in his line of work has a many ears on the wall as possible. It’s a surefire way to stay plugged into the goings-on of the Ostanian underworld, unless of course...
Tumblr media
...They get taken out by Garden.
AGHGHGHGHGH ALRIGHT, OK LET’S GO-
Garden. We finally have a name for Yor’s group now; we thought it was The Shop for the longest time, but apparently that’s only part of it. Yor alluded to this briefly back in ch. 29 when she described The Shop was being in charge of information gathering, and once their job was done it was Yor’s turn to come in and do the actual assassination. In this sense we see The Shop was being more of a support role in the same way that Franky is, though it’s still safe to assume the Shopkeeper is still in charge of both The Shop and Garden. At least for now- until we get more information to say otherwise, anyway.
Of course, the interesting thing is our silhouetted figures standing in this panel- not to mention the fact that Franky states that all the members are capable of taking on a whole troop of soldiers (for reference, a troop ranges between 9 and 100 men, though it usually hovers around 50). We know Yor is capable of doing this, but now that we also know the other assassins of Garden are as well, it begs the question; is Yor’s strength truly a unique thing in this world? And if it isn’t, what could be the source of it?
Tumblr media
OSO-R, the drug used during the Tennis arc, was described as being in its trial stages. I originally chalked up it’s fast development time as just being part of manga logic, although I’m now starting to question that theory. It’s possible the roadmap for OSO-R has been around for much longer than first thought, and may find its traces back to when the war had just ended. Loid describes Garden as having been around for some time. We also know that Yor was just a child when she started up her assassination gig, so it’s possible that she and others like her may be have been exposed to a serum similar to OSO-R a decade or so before. Given Ostania’s track record of human experimentation, the scenario is possible.
Also going back to what Franky describes as “the shadow government”; it’s interesting that we’re hearing rumblings of a government operating outside the public’s view literally one chapter after we were just introduced to the concept of a royal class at some point in Ostania’s past. There’s a lot of things that cab be construed from this (such as Garden serving an authority that doesn’t necessarily align with Donovan and the government) but listing everything would just turn this review into one long-winded mess. So instead, we’re gonna entertain a fun theory- one that may or may not be true, but if it *does* end up being confirmed later on down that road, you heard it here first.
*ahem*
Mr. Green is a part of Garden.
Allow me to state my case.
When ch. 39 came out, I found it very unusual that a brand new character we haven’t seen before got a majority of the panel-time alongside Damian and the boys. It wasn’t very suspicious at the time, given that we’d just been introduced to Becky’s maid Martha, so we all just assumed Endo was building up his side characters a bit. For all intents and purposes, that may very well be the case.
However.
Tumblr media
I know one person in particular who latched onto this panel right here, and for good reason; why would a security guard stationed at a school nowhere close to the border know about code words being used by people trying to cross over illegally? Yes, he was supposedly in the navy, but the way he phrases it here heavily implies that these code words are a recent affair, or at the very least are still being used currently. Why would he know that? Even if he was in the military, it’s information that has absolutely nothing to do with being in the navy.
Tumblr media
Mr. Green is also very strong; strong enough to make the boys think they were going down rapids when in actuality it was just him rowing so fast. Now, I don’t know if you’ve ever paddled a boat before, but it’s hard work- and it’s certainly difficult to the get that boat going at cruising speed, let alone fast enough to cause rapids. Yor’s the only one we’ve seen with strength like that and- yes, Green was supposedly in the navy, but at this point in time we don’t know anything else about him. We don’t know what he did after the war, nor do we know how he wound up in Eden Academy in the first place.
This is where we start going deep down the rabbit hole. Hang on.
Tumblr media
This gentleman who we’ve never seen before is clearly aware that Garden exists, or at the very least is privy to Yor’s actual job. Much like how WISE has plants within Loid’s hospital, this man likely works to support Yor in some way. If such is the case, we can likely assume that- because the shadow government is supporting Garden- they would have their assassins posted in key areas for various reasons, likely to keep an eye out for traitors or to keep them spread out to cover a wide area should the need ever arise to deploy them.
Tumblr media
We’ve only ever see Yor target traitorous politicians and outright terrorists (I realize this one is just a daydream, but you get my point). It would make sense, seeing as how she works at city hall and it would likely put her in an advantageous position when hunting them down. Of course, politicians aren’t the only people who might catch Garden’s attention. Given the amount of political and economic unrest that is currently going on in the country, there likely would be some people who would be fed up with the state of things. Such people may not be like Franklin Perkin- someone who would take direct action against the government- but instead would rather try to steer others towards a mindset that stands in opposition to Ostania. Such a person may try to target more impressionable people- people who are likely to listen and learn from an authority figure in their lives. People like...small children.
Eden students.
Garden. Eden. I see what you’re doing there, Endo.
Traitorous professors? Renegade academics? It would make sense to have a Garden assassin stationed at the most prestigious school in the country; the amount of information and contacts that are positioned around there are second to none, and what better way to suppress insurrection than at the source, at the very foundations of knowledge itself? Also, for kicks and giggles, let’s not forget that the name Mr. Green certainly fits with the plant motif Endo is going for with his assassin group (Garden. Thorn Princess. Briar. You catch my drift?)
Am I grasping at straws? Probably lol. I’d also like to reiterate that this is in no way all my thinking- a lot of crazy people put their brains together for this one, good or bad. But hey, it’s about all we can do until the next chapter! And at the very least, it’s a lot of fun to wonder what-if!
Also, BONUS

...She’s coming.

Mistakenly Saving the Villain - Chapter 1
Original Title: 论救错反派的下场
Genres: Drama, Romance, Xianxia, Yaoi
TW for this chapter: Mentions of suicide
I wanted to provide some ~variety~ so I'm doing another novel. I'll give a warning that the first few chapters are kind of intense and I'll keep the TWs updated as they come and put a TL;DR at the end if there's anything too graphic.
This translation is based on multiple MTLs and my own limited knowledge of Chinese characters. If I have made any egregious mistakes, please let me know.
Chapter 1 - The Beauty in Red
Song Qingshi is dead.
After his death, he came to in a strange space, and in the space, there was a sphere randomly flashing red.
The sphere said that he is a book-transmigrating system from a high-dimensional world. There was a xiania novel called "The Exceptional Furnace", which was about to be plagued by readers' resentment due to the tragic fate of the protagonist, causing problems in that world. It needed to find someone who is familiar with the tropes of these novels and someone with the power to change and repair the body and mind of the protagonist, and fulfill the readers' wishes - change the fate of the protagonist, dote on him, and let him live the happiest and most fulfilling life □□ □□□□□
The information in the system came intermittently, and in the □□ there were incomprehensible, alien-like characters.
Song Qingshi suffered from Lou Gehrig's Disease during his lifetime and devoted himself to studying medicine to try and save himself. He was a medical student who studied and experimented frantically every day and never wasted time reading novels.
In terms of emotions, he is even more obtuse. Although he is very handsome and has an attractive and obedient personality, due to his physical problems, even the school bully treated him like a precious thing. With all the excessive loving care and sympathy, not only did he never have a crush, but he also suffered from a slight fear of talking to strangers.
This was the worst soul for this task.
Song Qingshi didn't know how he was picked up by the system. He had read Marxist philosophy novels in vain. But from his messy information and analysis from the system's explanation, as long as he accepts the task, the system will send him to the virtual book world, give him a healthy body, and he will come back to life.
After Song Qingshi realized this, he was ecstatic. A healthy body is was his biggest desire. Not to mention the fact that the system only asked that he take care of someone. Even if the system had asked him to swim through seas of fire, he would have accepted still.
Because of this, he ignored his conscience, structured his response, and lied for the first time in his life: "I have read tens of thousands of books that I have memorized. I have extensive medical and nursing knowledge, have taken a psychology course as an elective, and I could solve all the physical and mental sufferings of the protagonist. And love. . . I have lots of experience with love, I know how to communicate, absolutely, I. . . can definitely accomplish these tasks!"
If there was any blood that could exist in a soul, he would definitely be flushed.
The system didn't notice his lies. It registered the identity of the task performer, and sent a series of garbled commands, mixed with all kinds of chaotic and disorderly information into Song Qingshi's mind, sending waves of discomfort through his soul.
Suddenly, the system let out a sharp alarm and the data transmission was cut off. Song Qingshi's vision went black, and his soul drifted away towards a bright white light. . .
. . .
When Song Qingshi woke up, he found himself lying in the woods, surrounded by the faint fragrance of various herbs. He squinted his eyes and looked towards the dazzling blue sky. There was a gorgeous golden luan bird dragging its long tail feathers, letting out a loud caw as it flew past, with countless immortal birds following it.
Was this the world from the novel?
It seemed too real. . .
A soft breeze blew across the forest, shaking off the dew on the trees. The dew fell onto his pale fingertips, bringing a slightly cool feeling. Then, all the memories of the original body flooded into his mind like a tidal wave, trying to merge with his own soul - this body was also called Song Qingshi, the master of the Medicine King's Valley, and the most talented medical immortal and pharmaceutical expert in the immortal world. His medical skills could heal the dead and revive bones, and the spirit pills he cultivates were considered treasures by every cultivator.
However, the original body's temperament was extremely troubling. He rarely left Medicine King's Valley at all, never made friends, and had no interest in matters other than medicine and alchemy. When a patient sought him out, he only looks at their temperament and never asked their identity. When he was in a good mood, he treated mortal beggars. When he was in a bad mood, regardless of the identity of the visitor, he would turn them into flower fertilizer for his garden. He often used living people to test medicines. Cruel, but because of his Nascent Soul cultivation base and various skills with poisons, the immortal sects didn't dare provoke him easily, only secretly calling him troubling behind his back.
Cultivators in the immortal world had long life spans, and the knowledge and memory of this original body had for its hundreds of years of cultivation had not arrived yet. Various data fragments of the system rushed in frantically, with countless garbled codes, tearing the original body's memory into a mess, leaving Song Qingshi at a loss. It took a long time before he managed to figure out his current situation.
This was Golden Phoenix Mountain Manor, the most luxurious place in the immortal world, where there are rare and exotic animals and countless immortals and beautiful concubines.
The owner, Jin FeiRen, was also a great Nascent cultivator. He was a true romantic, an excessive spender, and had friends from both the immortal and demonic cultivation world. He was a well-known figure.
The original body had always been cold, obsessed with his work, and never touched either men and women. Today's arrival was accidental. The Manor Lord Jin wanted to give him Ten Thousand Year Snow Ginseng to exchange a batch of medicinal pills for him. The original body had recently been lacking Snow Ginseng to make his medicines, so he agreed to the deal.
Since Snow Ginseng grows in the secret realm of the snow mountains of the Jin family. If you wanted to get the ones with the best medicinal properties, you needed to pick them at night and preserve it with a special refining method. Therefore, the original body came here to pick it personally, and Song Qingshi somehow ended up here.
Then, Song Qingshi was sent here by the system. . .
Where was the protagonist? What does he look like?
Song Qingshi wanted to ask the system to ask for more information, but the system seemed to disappear. The materials it sent not only contained no plot points from the novel, but also very little character information. There were garbled characters everywhere, even though the protagonist hadn't been introduced yet. Song Qingshi got dizzy going through all this information before he found some descriptions in the copywriting introduction: the best physique, unmatched beauty shou X□□□□□ gong, procured by trickery, sadomasochistic, □□, □□, □□ There were only three texts that could be read clearly: Banquet of Bea□□□.
. . .
If this were someone who often read these types of novels, they would immediately recognize that this situation was problematic.
Song Qingshi, however, didn't recognize any of this as problematic. He believed that this was a test given by the system to assess his reasoning skills and ability to do things. Song Qingshi was very accustomed to being assessed like this. Usually, when he and his teacher started developing a new drug, he often didn't have any prior results in his hand. It required some experimentation and to experience many errors and difficulties in order to reach the final result. Most of the time, that result was not what they were hoping for.
Many pharmaceutical companies invest billions or even tens of billions in drug research. Scholars have spent decades trying, right until their hair turned grey, only to fail during their clinical trials.
Therefore, every drug researcher is a strong man who has experienced many battles, repeated defeats and never-ending setbacks.
These questions from Teacher System were not difficult!
Scholar-Tryant Song expressed no fear! He will definitely find the correct answer and live up to the teacher's expectations of him!
Song Qingshi thought about the information he was given, determined the goal of the protagonist, and then quickly understood the key points of the novel: the protagonist will appear at the Banquet of Beauties, it will be a male, homosexual, unmatched beauty, superb body; a pitiful character with a tragic fate. He needs to save the protagonist, give him the greatest care, heal his physical and mental health, and then help him find happiness and joy!
During Song Qingshi's time, respect for sexual orientation was written into the law, and same-sex couples could get married.
He once found a novel lost by a rotten girl classmate, titled "His Evil Majesty's Spoiled Husband". On the cover was a handsome and domineering man in a period costume holding a beautiful woman with long hair with a super flat chest. He didn't understand it, and returned the book. When he asked curiously, his classmates told him what Danmei was, and told him that the beauty on the cover was actually male. The beautiful male was the "shou", and the domineering one was the "gong". So Song Qingshi is confident that he would easily distinguish between the gong and the shou in the novel. He would never mistake the gong as the protagonist.
He had thought it through and the direction of problem-solving has been determined. All that was left was to wait for the Banquet of Beauties to start the exam.
Song Qingshi's spiritual sea gradually became clear. The soul and body were merged and became flexible. He sat up with his hands cautiously, took off his shoes, raised his feet, and tried to stretch the toes that had been stiff for many years. The white and round toes curled happily. Song Qingshi stood up shakily, briefly walking forward a few steps with hands and feet before finally remembered the walking posture of a normal person, and his movements gradually changed from jerky to steady. . .
Under his feet was soft green grass and moist soil.
Outside the forest was a calm river. Song Qingshi stepped into the water and took a handful of cold river water to wash his face, confirming that he was not in a dream.
Tears fell out of extreme joy, and the big tears fell onto his palms. His hands couldn't stop no matter how much he tried. The river calmed down from the slight disturbance, and the reflection of the boy's figure appeared.
Song Qingshi was surprised to find that the body given to him by the system was very similar to his high school appearance; he was not very tall and significantly thinner. He wore a Daoist cultivator outfit made of many layers of snow-coloured cloud brocade, wrapped tightly around his body. At first glance, all the layers of clothing gave the illusion of a frail man.
His thin hair was simply tied up with some loose hair dangling freely. His appearance may be related to immortal cultivation. He is a bit more refined than his original body, with a cold, pale complexion and clear eyes. Because he often blocks out the world and focuses on his study, he feels a bit dull and extremely gullible, leading many unlucky ghosts to think that the original was harmless and would become the fertilizer or poison tester.
. . .
After Song Qingshi vented his emotions and saw the red-rimmed eyes in the reflection, he was a little embarrassed. He hurriedly lowered his head and fetched water, trying to wash away the tears on his face, but behind him came the sound of fine bells and ridicule.
"It's useless to commit suicide. It will only cause you needless pain. If you are still not reconciled, you can try and sink slowly to see if you can succeed."
Surprised, Song Qingshi turned around and saw the most beautiful thing he'd seen in his life.
There were trees full of peach blossoms, and under the tree was a beautiful young boy in red. Who knows how long he was watching Song Qingshi stupidly crying. The young man's appearance was blooming, like a scroll of rich colours and ink, painted with all the romantic colours of the world. The warm jade-like skin, the most beautiful thing about him were the dark golden phoenix eyes under the crow-feather-like eyelashes. He resembled a noble and dignified phoenix in the sky, but there was an extremely gorgeous red tear-shared mole under the corner of his left eye, desecrating his nobleness. The dignity of his appearance was crushed, and the phoenix rejoined the mortal world, turning into a creature stained with flattery and seductiveness which made people feel unbearable tempted.
His long hair was untied and hung casually around his waist. The ends of his hair were slightly curled, his feet were bare, and he was only wearing a red dress made of shark silk. The shark silk was as smooth as water, clinging to his body, covering all the desirables underneath.
Song Qingshi did not think anything blasphemous, but because he was caught crying, his social anxiety became more intense. After a long pause of building courage, he stumbled and said: "I, I just..."
His hesitation became reluctant approval in the eyes of the beauty in red.
There are dangerous monsters and birds everywhere in the immortal world. Cultivators were equipped with spiritual auras and keen senses, and can easily detect the wind and grass around them. Even the minor cultivators in the time they were establishing their cultivation base would not miss the sound of mortal footsteps with bells, let alone the Nascent Soul cultivators. If they release their spiritual thoughts, the smallest creatures on the mountain would not escape their attention. Except for Song Qingshi, a newly-born soul who had just arrived in this world, and was still very unused to spiritual power and these world conditions. . .
The beauty in red had completely misunderstood, thinking that Song Qingshi was also a mortal. There was only one use for such a beautiful mortal in Golden Phoenix Manor. He clarified: "A new slave?"
Song Qingshi looked up in amazement. He wanted to ask questions, but his eyes fell on the beauty of the red dress. There seemed to be some strange bruises on his neck as if it had been bitten by a mosquito, but it seemed that it might be something else. He took a few more secretive glances, trying to determine what they were.
The beauty in red noticed his curious glances and his heart grew upset. With growing malicious intent, a very gentle smile appeared on his face, and he said in a sincerely blessed tone: "Don't stare, you will have them soon, too."
Song Qingshi was very sheltered before transmigrating. He had never encountered malice and did not understand the mystery behind these words. Although he thought this blessing was a bit strange, he still answered politely: "Thank you."
The beauty in red choked hearing this answer. He was stunned for a moment. He looked at Song Qingshi up and down like a fool, and found that the person in front of him was clean and his skin was free of any injuries. He had never experienced the ravages of hell in his eyes. He was pure.
This discovery made him feel pity for the heart that had been tempered by suffering. He retracted his sharp malice and said softly, "After tonight, you will know that death is a luxury." He turned slightly to his side, looking at the river's flow. He warned, "When I first came here, I tried to commit suicide many times, but it was useless. We are slaves who are branded with the Acacia Seal. Our spirits belong to our master. So long as the master doesn't allow it, we cannot die, even by our own hands. . .
The beauty in red was silent for a long time. He slowly stretched out his hand and stroked Song Qing's hair that was soft as the fur of a small animal.
Song Qingshi saw several red rope marks on his pale wrists. He realized that this was pain that the beauty wouldn't want to be questioned about, so he pushed down his curiosity.
The fingertips of the red-dressed beauty slipped from his hair to Song Qingshi's delicate face, watching his innocent expression. He held his hand there for a moment before putting it down, conflicted. He didn't want to say any more. Since he didn't know those nightmarish experiences, it was useless to say anything more. Being able to preserve this kind of innocence, it was one more moment of happiness for him. Finally, he sighed, "You look good, but unfortunately the more your looks improve as you grow, the longer it will be until you're freed. . ."
Song Qingshi was puzzled: "What do you mean by 'freed'?"
"You'll know soon." The beauty in red's expression suddenly relaxed. He glanced around carefully, then stretched out his index finger and tapped his lips lightly. With a voice so light that he could barely hear it, he said ambiguously, "Tonight I will be freed. . ."
The beauty in red turned around with a smile and, with a crisp ring of the bells, turned to leave. His steps were a bit unstable, and each step was strenuous, like a mermaid walking on the tip of a knife in pain.
A pair of exquisite gold shackles were exposed on the beauty's ankles under the red clothes. Each of the shackles was decorated with an exquisite bell. The middle was connected by a slender golden chain. When walking, the bell shook slightly and made a clear and sweet sound, just like a tethered bird.
The golden chain dragged across the grass, and a few drops of blood dropped onto the green leaves.
Song Qingshi mustered up the courage to overcome his social anxiety, and shouted to the beauty who was about to leave: "Are you. . .injured? I, I know medical skills. . . Do you need me to treat you?"
The beauty in red turned back, looked at him for a few seconds, and he couldn't help but smile. This time the smile finally reached his eyes, like a ray of golden sunlight breaking through the clouds, dazzlingly beautiful. He shook his head towards Song Qingshi, and gave himself a sincere blessing: "I hope you have better luck tonight."
He turned his head, and the sunlight in his eyes disappeared in a flash, as if it had never existed, only the dark clouds that would not retreat.
Having endured these nightmares for years, he has long learned not to remember the kindness of others, and not to care about being offered charity from others.
He walked alone in this prison without stopping, step after step, wearing those painful shackles.

#I’m just annoyed that he lied about it
I'm curious about him saying he's never done drugs. I know he said that when he got put in the band he was really worried about what would happen contract-wise if he was arrested, and he made a comment then, didn't he, about not wanting to do drugs, but I always assumed he was talking about that moment in time when he was 16/17. Did he talk about it at other times?
.Anon 2: Harry never said he didn't do drugs, he said he didn't do them when he had a 1d performance. He was hanging with Nick Grimshaw in his time out from touring, never before or after shows.
I will make one more post about this publicly, but any further questions will have to be answered via DM. I could talk about Harry and cocaine all day, but this blog is focused on Louis.
In the interview with Zane Lowe (around 42:03), Harry says: "When I was in the band, it was like, to me, it felt like it was so much bigger than any of us that I kind of felt like, ‘I’m not going to be the one who fucks it up.' So I was like, ‘Now is the time in my life when you probably go out and experiment and do this and you take this and you do that and that’s what you do with your friends.’ So, I was like, ‘I’m not going to do any of that stuff.’”
Afterward, it was widely reported in various news outlets that "Harry Never Did Drugs While in One Direction." So yes, Harry did say that he never did drugs in the band - not even experimentally. This statement pissed me off for two reasons: 1.) It was a lie. 2.) It was a cheap shot at Louis and Zayn.
1.) It was a lie.
During 2012 and 2013, Harry was spending a lot of time with Nick Grimshaw and his clique. In addition to Nick, this crew included Cara and Poppy Delevigne, Pixie and Peaches Geldorf, Daisy Lowe, and Alexa Chung - among others - and was colloquially referred to as the Primrose Hill Set 2.0 or the London Coke Crew. Here is a summary. In short, they were known for heavy partying and snorting a lot of coke. The drug use of this group - Harry included - is a frequent topic on gossip threads. I cannot stress this enough: Harry spent a lot of time with these people, especially Nick. It's naive to say that Harry didn't partake, as well.
2.) It was a cheap shot at Louis and Zayn.
Louis and Zayn smoked a lot of weed and we all know about the fallout from the "weedgate" video. I'm not defending Louis and Zayn's actions, but Harry's comment that he didn't want "to be the one who fucks it up" was a reference to this scandal. In my opinion, this was an unnecessary and mean-spirited dig. In addition, the Zane Lowe interview was heavily scripted, so Harry's comment was premeditated - not an impromptu or off-the-cuff remark. As we established, Harry has done harder drugs than weed. To be fair, Louis and Zayn have, as well (i.e. "Chicken in Chile”). However, even at the time the weed video leaked, Harry was portrayed as above it all. Though I believe Harry isn't a regular pot smoker, he was just as high as everybody else in the bread van video.
Here is another anon’s take:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
In the same Zane Lowe interview, Harry also said, “I never do anything when I’m working.” To be honest, I don’t believe him. But I don’t exactly have solid proof one way or the other.
Massive pinch of salt, but here’s a recent blind about Harry doing coke during a show “to keep the energy going.” There’s frequent chatter about him being high on stage or leaving stage mid-performance to do drugs (like in Boston). That’s not necessarily what I believe, I’m just saying that it’s a recurring topic.
Just to be clear: The drug use is not what I’m criticizing. Weed, shrooms, even coke - I don’t care. I just wish he wouldn’t lie about it and then shade his former bandmates. Even if Harry feels like he’s more careful or restrained than others when it comes to substances, it was still a lie to say he never experimented during 1D.
Again, I’m happy to talk more about this privately, but we have to keep the anons (and the blog, in general) Louis-centric.

Dating a member of Guns n Roses... - Headcannon
Tumblr media
Request: Headcannon about what is like to date each member of gnr?
---
AXL ROSE:
Dating Axl could be described as dating a bomb, both in the positive and negative way. It is something to definitely consider, since he could wake up and be the sweetest man to you and be on time to shows and actually do what hes told and then on another day he'd wake up and be serious or turn his attention to something else, overwhelm himself and explode with the minimum.
Putting emotional instability on the table, listening and caring for him is something that happens often, most times hes comes and talks to you about whatever is happening, after he's exploded, he gets pulled down from the skies with you and grounds his head.
Aside from that, dating Ax meant being spoiled, him buying you clothes, taking you out to diner dates, late night stay-at-home dates, kisses, pda, all of it!
He’s a hopeless romantic, he loves to secretly fantazise about the future you both could have, buying a house with extra rooms for children, putting a ring on your finger, growing old with you, and when you tell him that you want to move in together he lets you know all about his plans for the future.
He loves to show you off, he’s the type of guy who loves to match, even if is only on small details, he never fails to talk about you, and often drives the band mad with just how much he talks about you while on tour, that is, only when you don’t accompany him since you have to work as well, which by the way, he’s totally against since “I can take care of you just fine” but you refuse since you are independent.
Although he loves your private diner nights and dates, he also likes to party, hang out with his friends, get drunk, do crazy and stupid stuff sometimes, and you love to go out and just have fun with your friends as well, so you both attend many parties and after parties, also host many in you house eventually when you move in.
You’re a couple that aren’t afraid of the media or the critics, you are who you are and do what you want, some of Axl arrogance definetly rubbed onto you if you weren’t already an arrogant person, and that meant a lot of experimentation in the sexual way with other people, private orgies with models and actors.
But when it came to your intimate private sex, it was a rollercoaters, but a good one, one who made your knees weak and made you scream the whole ride. Axl was definetly a giver, he loved to make your eyes roll back and have you moan his name over and over, he loved to be told jusy how good he was making you feel, loved to touch you and make you feel good, sex was sometimes slow and passionate, but it could also be kinky and hard. Blindfolds, hanf cuffs, spankings, toys, he was always up expementing.
During arguments you and Axl wer both rude, they tend to be explosive, but no matter where you are, you always waited to be in private, never in front of the cameras, and never in front of his or your friends. He says words that hurt and so do you, you attack each other with words and skin the other to the bone, cry and yell and break stuff to let the anger out, and end up having some sort of makeup passionate sex, ask for forgiveness, fix the problem once your anger is out and then move on.
IZZY STRADLIN:
When it comes to dating Izzy, a word that completely describes the vibe is: healthy. Even when he's fucked up on something he'll listen to you, he knows you mean well and when the rest of the boys say he's wipped for you for listening, he just shooks his head. And when is time for you to listen you do as well, in a relationship with Iz the only thing you both want is to grow together and learn from the other.
He is a really private guy, so pda doesn't happen much, although when you're both alone he is turned into a fluff ball. The simple things are what really matter between you and him, holding hands, sleeping next to each other, private dinner dates, showering together or waking up slow in the morning, because of his schedule you don't see each other often, so little moments like those are the ones that he appreciates the most.
Izzy is definitely a family guy; he wanted the simple life, pushing aside that he was in gnr, you and him eventually bought a small home with a big garden to raise a couple kids, have a few dogs, a place have a home a raise a family
During arguments shits never hit the fan, he was the type of guy to walk away to cool off and think about the problem from every point of view, to find a solution, and just talk calmly, and although that irritated you sometimes you were glad he did that, since it gave you time to think about it as well. Arguments would always be solved talking, they could get emotional at times, but they just made your relationship stronger.
Although Izzy was a reserved and quiet guy, every time he deemed appropriate, his hands were on you, loved to fuck you anywhere and anytime, if it wasn't you the one waking him up by rubbing your ass on him it'd be him the one leaving a trail of kisses on your neck, and then after breakfast you'd hop into the shower together and what once was innocent would turn dirty as he fucked you in the shower, sex during movies and before bed, sex in the couch or in the morning, in your backyard during the middle of the night, didn't matter where.
He loved to have you moan in his ear, to have his back scratched and to feel you tight around him right before you came. No matter what kind of sex it was he always loved to hold you close and tight. Love making would always be sweet and tender, but because of your neediness and his, it would end up being dirty and fast.
When you did go out to party with friends however, he was the one who'd talk and talk and talk, with anyone who talked back to him, you on the other hand loved to dance and jump around to the beat of a song, then, drunk out of your asses you'd join the other and talk pure bullshit, pure nonsense and laugh until your stomachs hurt, only to catch a cap home to have some drunken messy sex.
When he left gnr and sobered up he was a mess, a little unsure of the future of his carreer, but he was ready to leave the life he once knew, he wss happy he could finally have the quiet life you and him always talked about, so when he began his solo project and you went back to your normal 9 to 5 job he finally put a ring on it.
STEVEN ADLER:
Dating Steven is just the sweetest thing on earth, although when it got nasty it got nasty.
Steven was sweet and child like no matter how high or sober he was, he wad always loving and caring, always put you first in everything, even when it was time to make decisions about himself. Something that always made you a tad unconfy since you always told that although it was fine to have you as a priority, having himself as one was good too.
But when you two argued, it was like all the heavenly trance of love had become hell in a matter of seconds, screaming and calling each other names, and although you two were grown ass adults you two always stayed childish and it took days to fix an argument.
Steven is always protective of you, always jealous, when you two go out he never leaves you alone, always has a hand around your waist or hips to let everyone know you're his, especially when you visit him on tour with motley crue
When he gets kicked out of gnr you are his support system, he's a mess and using even more then before, depressed and just hopeless, and without you to hold and talk to and spend time with he would have dug himself down deeper into depression then he already was.
On a happy tune, when you guys eventually move in, which is super early in the relationship, you get dogs, not only pugs, and they become your kids before your actual kids come in the picture.
Sex with Steven was always passionate, no matter what, although it wsd passionate as well, between all the dirty talks he always manage to make you feel loved and comfortable, and he never failed to make you laugh during sex as well.
Stevie loved when you rode him, loves to have you on a full view as you fuck him, loves to hold your hips, and spread your ass, loves to touch and play with your breasts, he loves to watch your face twisted in pleasure, he's all down to receive but nothing turns him more than knowing that the reason you're cumin over and over is him.
SLASH:
Dating slash meant parties and drugs anf arguments and laughs and just everything. Dating him is like having a best friend, a friend with benefits, a boyfriend and a husband all together, it meant experimenting.
In sex he just wasn't scared of anything, and the confidence in your relationship that just permited the other to experiment with other people in the bedroom but together obvs, no matter what the other would suggest you and him would be down.
Having that trust also meant that there was enough trust to be open and honest, so when he'd fuck up in someway or you, you'd talk about it, because at the end of the day, mistakes get made, and also you were both mature enough to fix through it and talk about it maturely
Arguments with him were passive aggressive, no yelling or calling names or breaking stuff, more like silent treats and them being broken only to say something that would refer to your argument or by apologies. By the end of it you'd be fine though
Slash wasn't the jealous type, but at the same time if a guy would talk to you a little too sweet he wouldn't hesitate into throwing punches.
You never move in together officially until you get married, he had his house and you had yours, but you hsd half of your stuff in his place and he had half of his place in yours, when you stayed over at his place it'd be for weeks and it was the same for him, you pretty much lived together but had to places.
DUFF MCKAGAN:
Dating duff was a dream, when he wasn't on drugs at least. He was caring and loving, our boy is a hopeless romantic, always had flowers and dates and always showed you off, he was also a kinky bastard.
Sex was either rough or sweet, there was no in between, he treated you like a princess or a whore from hell. Always making sure you're comfortable though, and the after sex was always caring, you'd always showered and then cuddled after.
Duff was always a family man, so often you talked about a future together, with a few kids and some dogs, a house to host holiday parties. You both just knew you'd end up married.
When he was really deep on drugs however, it was a nightmare, when he didn't have his dose he was just the most insufferable human on earth, picking fights just because, and then he'd have his dose and apologise. When he got sober though, he kind of told you that he was going to dissapear for a little to the mountains and have his own way of rehab, and although you were scared you trusted him.
When he came back, after a little sentimental talk about how he felt great and how much y'all missed the other, he proposed.
Duff was never the jealous type, he loved showing you around and taking you places and when someone would approach you he just love to see their face fall when you'd turn them down, and he was always there when the other person would get too pushy.
During arguments even when either of you wanted to just go completely crazy and yell and hurt the other, you never did, instead you'd take breather and talk, talk and talk, repeat yourself over and over and then eventually come to a neutral space and fix the arguments, it's was all healthy
