CONGRATULATIONS YOU FOUND ONE OF MY “One Big Headcanon” guys! These are characters where I do have smaller headcanons, but some of those smaller headcanons may be connected to the one larger headcanon. [REDACTED] has a lot of smaller headcanons connected specifically to this one headcanon.

You know how a lot of [REDACTED] interps give him a Shadow Form? You might have seen a version of my interp that looks like a standard Shadow Form but it’s not actually the same as everyone else’s Shadow [REDACTED]s.

My [REDACTED] is actually a Dark Matter. Technically. Yes like the Kirby kind. My dumb universe is a crossover if you didn’t already know so yeah anyway I got a lot of stuff about [REDAC] that hinges on this aspect of him.

First off, why did I say technically, and how exactly did he get this way?

In Kirby lore, there are 4 kinds of “Matter”; Dark, Heart, Soul, and Dream. In my lore, I have each split into the classification of “living” and “inert”. Living is anything that is a creature that possesses the powers of one specific matter (like the standard Kirby Dark Matters you’re familiar with if you know Kirby). Inert Matter is a sort of energy that can take multiple forms, but in the case of Dark Matter it tends to take the form of an area of darkness.

At one point, a field of Inert Dark Matter was drawn to the Murder Hotel and ended up becoming what TMP players know as “The Darkness” that follows you in the final round. A young [REDAC] was playing in the halls of said Murder Hotel and came across the field. Curious, he ended up walking into the field and became affected by it. An Inert Dark Matter field absorbs your life force if you’re dead, but since [REDAC] was (and still is) alive, it attached to him in a way that made him technically a Living Dark Matter creature. [REDAC] is still also technically human, he’s just an odd hybrid of the two. He didn’t know about this until recently though; he’s just thought he was a weird ghost thing.

A lot of my other headcanons relate to his nature as a Dark Matter.

Being Dark Matter makes [REDACTED] immune to/not affected by a lot of stuff, most notably, bullets, major cuts, poison, most elements, mind control, and disguising spells.

Keep in mind that the disguise immunity only applied to spells that disguise an appearance and not costumes that disguise appearance. As a master of magic, Laverne Caverne knows a disguise spell that [REDAC] can see right through (that’s how they got together because I ship them), but Schmitty was able to escape the Murder Hotel by successfully using the Wig to get past [REDAC] and sneak out.

Also yes the mind control immunity also applies in the case of you know who.

And finally for now, Zero keeps trying to contact [REDACTED] through his dreams but he's always like "you can't tell me what to do" and just yeets out of the weird mind sh^t...he’s really good at getting out of weird mind sh^t.

Overview

Jamie O'Neil, 26 Male, was brought into Sagesfeild Hospital by Inspector [Redacted] leading the Gale's Hollow case. This was requested after the patient had begun coughing up a strange soot-like substance after the incident along with exhibiting erratic behavior. Inspector [Redaced] has informed us to keep any strong sources of light away from the patient as we proceed.

Examination Notes

Upon basic examinations done by the medical staff, it was determined that Mr. O'Neil had minor injuries along his hand and lower arm. We have determined this was most likely due to the patient trying to break one of the lamps down at the station.

As for the strange soot, we have been unable to determine its exact origins as Mr. O'Neil's person shows no other signs of ingesting a strange material. However, during these exams, we found that Mr. O'Neil's body temperature and heart rate have slowed down significantly for a man of his energy and age.

Conclusion

Nurse [Redacted] and I request that we are able to quarantine and further investigate the strange illness between the two survivors. We hope with further tests and comparisons between the two, we can narrow down a proper diagnosis and possible cure.

It’s a quick walk made quicker by how fast they’re both moving. Cam walks close enough that they brush elbows every so often, and despite what he said about serenity not indicating his state of being, he is a calming presence at their side. He buys them both tea—(after a brief argument about paying which they somehow lost)—while they find a table in the back, tucked away enough that a soft conversation should be unheard. Given how busy the place is, they have little concern anyone will be paying them any mind.

A large cup of tea is set in front of them, to the left of their laptop, and then Cam is sitting across from them, his eyes going sharp as he takes a sip of his drink.

“So,” they say, clicking open a file, “I did some digging.” He blinks. Cocks his head to the side and lifts a brow. “On, uh, him.”

For some reason, speaking Regulus’s name in this quaint little cafe feels wrong.

“Hi—oh. Oh.” Cam takes another long, long pull from his drink before setting it down gently. “Why?”

Now they blink. Why did they do this? Just because someone they met and spent all of thirty minutes with was bothered? No, no that’s not it. Not entirely.

With a shake of their head, they sigh. “You seemed really concerned about the situation, and we both know the Department isn’t going to do shit so, I just. Did some mild information theft.”

“Mild infor—what exactly did you do?”

In a blatant attempt to buy time, they take a lengthy sip of their tea. Cam just waits, and they see the corner of his mouth twitch like he’s fighting back a smile.

“Okay, so,” they say as they put their cup down, “I may have snuck somewhere I don’t know if I actually had the clearance to be.” He says their name sharply, exasperated, and pinches the bridge of his nose. They barrel on. “Nobody saw me, or at least I don’t think anyone did, but that’s not important. What’s important is that I managed to lift his entire file, with no redactions.”

“No redac—you absolutely aren’t cleared to be looking at this information, are you?” They grin at him. He sighs. “I’m assuming that what you found isn’t good, considering how jumbled your emotions are.”

“Yeah, yeah it’s bad.” They kick the chair next to them out. “Here, come see.”

"Everything's urgent with you, needlenose."

"You know damn well that I don't have a nose. Now c'mon, we gotta get to the bunker! President Ted set off a Retbomb!"

"A Retbomb?! Is he insane?!"

*for those who don't know what a retbomb is, a retbomb is essentially a bomb that can be set up to retcon a single person and all of their variants, rewriting their stories. In this case, it was set to Ted Redac.*

"Probably. We need to get to the bunker, stat!"

"You don't have to tell me twice!"

The Teds in the Chaos Citadel looked in horror as a retbomb explosion came towards them, sparing no Ted in its path.

Some Teds accepted that they weren't going to make the cut, and poured themselves a non-alcoholic strawberry daquiri(except for Ted Degroot, he was an alcoholic.)

Others cried, breaking down and wishing that it wouldn't end this way, praying to whatever gods they worshipped.

Either way, their fate was the same.

Tracker was swinging through the streets of Las Nevadas when all of a sudden, a bright, blue light rushed towards him. He tried to outspeed it, but he was caught.

In another reality, Navybeard the Brave was sailing with his crew, before a beam of light struck him down, with nobody seeming to notice.

Another beam of light was rushing to reality 616, ready to obliterate [REDACTED] McGee [REDACTED], but some sort of force field stopped it from reaching that reality, destroying that specific beam.

As Ted Prime's de facto right hand, DeadTed did a headcount. "Alright, has anyone seen Prime? I haven't." But nobody had seen him. Suddenly, they heard a loud banging at the door. "Guys! Help! I'm still out here!" "Holy shit, it's Ted Prime! We gotta help him!"

SlimeTed tried to open the door with all of his strength, but it wasn't enough. DeadTed tried to help, but he could do nothing as he watched Ted Prime get retconned in front of his very eyes.

As he watched Ted Prime get disintegrated, he fell to his knees and cried. The other Teds approached him and tried to comfort him, but he couldn't do anything. He couldn't save Ted Prime.

so, redac’s canon family is… not good. i HATE his dad from what little i understand of him, and his mother isn’t great either. and as far as friends go he.. he doesn’t get out much. schmitty is a platonic f/o of mine tho and him as a third wheel to redac and i is SO funny so i like to imagine he and redac are kind of pals. in general i think redacted should be friends w other hosts.. i think he deserves a nice social life ^_^
