Oh! Haha! It started out as an amphibia reference, but they removed it because it probably took away a lot of the impact of the palisman dissolving. Smart move, and foreshadows TTT in the final cut.

Been looking back at some old storyboards for Amphibia recently, and one line caught my eye. In storyboards for BOTE, Anne's line after Darcy explains her backstory goes:

"I don't care about your backstory. What. Have you done. With Marcy?!"

Anne announces she doesn't care about the Core, and then demands to know what happened to Marcy. But in the show, it's:

"What. Have you done. With Marcy!?"

It's a small change, but removing that first sentence improves the show's version for me. In this one she doesn't acknowledge Darcy's explanation and snaps back, questioning Marcy's status. Anne doesn't give a damn about the Core, she's laser-focused on saving both her friend and this world she loves from peril.

Anne shows this through her actions that she doesn't care about the Core, but in the storyboards, she just tells the viewer. It gives a better idea of Anne's headspace and makes Anne's demand for Marcy's safety hit harder.
