4. What’s a word that makes you go absolutely feral?

Ah, I don't really know, tbh. It's not necessarily one particular word, but the connotation of it in certain scenarios that makes me go crazy. As an example, though, the verb "scream," when utilized well, is very powerful to me! I try to use it very irregularly, because, personally, my voice is in a register such that it is really quite hard for me to scream??? Like, normally. Most of the time I shout or yell instead, so I'd have to be in genuine terror to scream.

So whenever I see it used well or whenever I write it in such a way that no other verb would do, it drives me insane because word choice is everything to me <3 On the downside, though, whenever I see it used poorly, depending on HOW poorly, I might even click out of a story entirely lmao

29. Where do you draw your inspiration? What do you do when the inspiration well runs dry?

I primarily get my inspiration from two places: My life experience or consuming a really REALLY good piece of fan content. Something that itches the brainworms just right! :D

As for what I do whenever I don't feel motivated... I just stop writing for a while, and just go out and enjoy my life! I once heard a quote that basically went something like "Inspiration to create art comes from the well of life and each time you create, you draw on that well. Eventually, though, whenever you go to draw on that well, nothing's going to be there that you can use. And if that happens, the best thing to do is just to go out there and enjoy your life and have new experiences and come back when that well has water in it again." I don't remember where it came from, but it is definitely something I live by. Sometimes I feel bad because I can't create, but usually, if I just go on a walk in a new place or get some things done that need doing, I feel a whole lot better! Sometimes it still takes a while to get that motivation, but that's okay too! Just gotta be kind to myself sometimes 👍

a color I can't stand?? im going to sound like im not like other girls 🥺 pls bear with me here, but colors on their own mean nothing to me??? ITS SO HARD TO EXPLAIN like i enjoy color groups and how certain colors complement each other, and color schemes etc but if you laid some paint chips out in front of me and told me to pick my favorite i would seriously overthink it. i usually put a tag under colorful art saying "i heart colorful art" or something bc it's so appealing to me 😭 i love seeing all the bright colors and how they complement each other im like a child, thank god i wasn't raised by a sad beige mom (no offence) it even goes so far that you can point to a number and i can tell you its exact color and personality, but that's a story for another time. BUT ANYWAY I think the colors that rub me the wrong way would probably be those highly saturated filters that everyone was using in 2019-20, the ones that make everything look teal and orange? UGHSJHV:K it is so not my thing. i know blue and orange or opposites on the color wheel and they are nice to each other, BUT TO A CERTAIN EXTENT. OR those "christian girl autumn" color schemes with like the maroon and beige and orange etc but it looks like they took the color out of them. but honestly if that stuff is your jam don't take what im saying to heart i clearly have a different thought process

after that extreme answer for the last ask you can probably tell im pretty serious when it comes to this stuff, so i guess i can describe it as sort of a downtown girl aesthetic during fall/winter but in the summer things feel more like a "coming of age" aesthetic, mainly bc you could probably shoot a coming of age movie where i live. that feeling of loitering in a sunny spot somewhere with friends and doing nothing is the best. but other than that i feel like my "aesthetic" is just a collage of my many interests, and it's always changing so it's pretty hard to pin down 😭

2. Stiles from Teen Wolf; that guy formed my personality. He was also the first fandom experience with transgender-ness that made me go “oh wait-“ about my gender. Which was neat! I also just love me a silly little guy 🤭

3. Zim & Dib from Invader Zim. I lump these two together because their weird little toxic co-dependency has me fascinated. I used to want to be Zim when I was in the fandom (many many many moons ago); His odd mannerisms tweaked my pre-teen soul

4. This isn’t a show or game but Markiplier was a HUGE influence for me through my teen years. His videos and attitudes really helped shape me into the person I am today and gave me my fuckin goofy sense of humor

Gotta be honest most of my blorbos are from Zelda; I was out of the fandom scene for a good few years and Zelda is/was my reintroduction to fandom life. It’s the first fandom I’ve actually made art for and have tried engaging with. I’ve always been a lurker before this.

Link my GUY. Love how his gender is my gender. Ganon is such a fun and interesting character to play with! Zelda rips my soul to pieces. Love the champions!

three favorite foods: any form of like, loaded potato, particularly fries. or just plain hand cut fries. or cajun fries. listen i really like fries. but okay to say something other than fries...... uhhh. well i don't actually like fish and chips that much but it has emotional significance so i might count it anyway. i've developed a taste for medium rare ribeye + mashed potatoes recently. chicken tikka masala and garlic naan. i'm sure there's other stuff but nothing's coming to mind... honestly i'm pretty basic taste-wise. i'll try almost anything but i tend to stick to the same basic shit, especially potatoes and beef. ah, burgers... strawberry milkshakes. does that count. bonus if it's the artificial sweet kind with no actual strawberry bits bc i love artificial strawberry flavor so much. it tastes so pink (affectionate)

last thing i googled: "field guide to memory". it's a video game thgat was mentioned in a video i watched. looks cool!

dream trip: i have genuinely no idea. ireland? tokyo? i'd only want to go if i was friends with either a local or someone very familiar/comfortable there though bc i'd hate going somewhere new alone. oh! or i'd go to where specifically one of my internet friends live. i won't list all the locations but unfortunately they're all scattered around the globe so i'd have to choose one and augh!!!

what do you think revalink's baby would be like? would it be a rito or a hylian would it be blood related to either link or revali? do you think they would get a surrogate? i wanna write a baby revalink fic but i'm still not sure what kind of baby they would have

ooh I've never thought abt it before! I feel like they'd probably choose to adopt an orphan? since they're both canonically orphans bc I said so and they know how it felt to try and survive in a world that is not kind to those without parents, they want to be able to protect other kids from having to know that pain if they can help it 🥹

their first child is a rito, who was orphaned at a young age bc the single mother died shortly after childbirth :'( normally when a fledgeling is left without parents in rito village the community tries their best to collectively raise the fledgeling, but as we've seen with revali, this doesn't work out very well as the fledgeling doesn't receive the proper attention or care they need to develop. so when link and revali hear about the young orphan, they volunteer to take her in as their own. don't ask me name of the kid though bc idk AJDBAJDH

they live together as a small happy family for several years. ofc as new parents, link and revali have some struggles, but they're able to talk with other parents like saki and teba and amali about parenting tips. link also learns a lot more about rito culture and what is traditional when raising a fledgeling (don't ask me what these traditions and cultures are idk man💀). revali is also learning about a lot of these for the first time because he was never really raised in a traditional way and didn't realize parental figures were supposed to do all these things because certainly no one did for him :((

one day on one of their travels together (they left their fledgeling at home because they knew there would be monsters on the road and they didn't want to put their daughter in any potential danger🥺🥺) they see a camp of monsters off the side of the road. they go to fight them, but as they move closer, they realize the monsters had taken a little hylian toddler and were harassing and attacking him, and suddenly link is remembering his own childhood, powerless against monsters and hylian bullies alike, so alone and afraid, and link is moving before he can realize what is happening, his head buzzing with the only thought to protect the kid. revali quickly moves to back him up in the fight, and it's over in a matter of minutes.

there's a treasure chest that unlocks when all the monsters are killed, but link couldn't care less about that, he's rushing towards the boy to see if he's okay or injured, if his parents are around, and the toddler can only look up at him helplessly, eyes wide and tear-filled, so clearly and incredibly alone and abandoned. link turns to revali, who has been watching this exchange, and says, "we have to take him in."

revali knows the look in link's eyes, the face of someone remembering their past, the same face link wakes up with after nightmares of the calamity. he knows they both have a chance to protect this boy from a life on the streets, from being tormented by the evils that lurk on the streets and in civilizations, and so they decide to bring the boy home with them.

when they return to rito village, they introduce their daughter to the boy. she's still very young, so they do their best to explain how they found him without the traumatizing details, but when they tell her that he will be joining their family, she holds the boy in her arms and looks up at them reverently, whispering, "I'm going to be a big sister?" with joy in her eyes.

and relief floods revali and link, knowing that their family is going to be okay, that they'll all be able to take care of each other, that their children will be raised with the support only siblings can provide, that they will cherish this family forever. it's not a perfect family, and it's certainly not borne of blood relations, but the emotional bond they all have with each other is stronger than blood could ever be

I wish I could be in a productive environment free of distractions whenever I write

I wish I always had a clear idea of where the story's going when I start a WIP 😭

And I wish, sometimes, that I could write well for more fandoms than I do, but I'm working on that! hehe

(@amiharana, you asked this one too, so here's the answer for both of you! :D This was a very hard one lol)

"Just as [Twilight] got a second to contemplate this, three explosions rang out across the clearing, throwing off his balance a little as he scrambled to pinpoint the origin, only to see an electric arrow wiz right over his shoulder, barely missing him as the hair on his neck stood straight up. He whirled around, catching a glimpse of a figure descending with a paraglider. Once they were about twenty feet off of the ground, they let go and fell like a deadweight, landing in a crouch as they met the fight head-on in a blaze of glory and golden braids that caught the moonlight just right." - A current WIP entitled "Flight of the Wilds" (subject to change)

I think the prompt was asking for a piece of currently published writing and I can add that if you guys want later, but I figured I'd treat you both with my current Revalink WIP 💛 It's also a LU fic, but that's not the point lol. This doesn't even begin to cover the premise of the oneshot, as it's projected to be about 30,000+ words. I wrote most of it on paper (crying it's thirty-two pages front and back and IM NOT EVEN DONE), so you better believe a lot is getting changed as I type it out lol.

This is very early on in the oneshot when Twilight reunites with Wild for the first time. The Chain is getting ambushed by a hoard of monsters and Wild comes by and helps them. In this, he's definitely picked up a lot of his archery skills from Revali, hence the signature three bomb arrows. He's still not nearly as good at the Rito himself, though! :D hehe

This sequence likely won't change any more than it already has, as the beginning doesn't need a whole lot of work anymore imo. It didn't used to be nearly as epic, though. Originally, the scene is a lot more Twilight-centric (as the story is told from his POV), but I changed it because it didn't focus nearly enough on Wild as it really should have for his introduction scene??? Idk what I was thinking tbh. Didn't even address how Wild even got there fr, which is why I made him glide down from his paraglider like the BAMF he is lmaooooo The blond braids stayed the whole time, tho 👍 That, I can assure you lol

34. Thoughts on the Oxford comma, Go:

As someone who perhaps uses commas where they ought not be, I use the Oxford comma in my writing almost religiously and I find it hard to read anything that does not contain it lol.

As someone who is learning Spanish, though, (which does not make use of the Oxford comma, like, at all) it is a very hard habit to break, but I am working on it! lol
