What is a new show or movie that you’ve watched lately? . We started watching Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist and I have to say that I am totally hooked on this show! I also introduced my daughter to All the Boys I Loved Before and she absolutely loved it! We are planning to watch the second movie together soon! To All The Boys I'Ve Loved Before (abbreviated TATBILB) is a Netflix original movie directed by Susan Johnson. The movie, starring Lana Condor and Noah Centineo, is based on the homonymous book written by Jenny Han, who also wrote the screenplay. Netflix released the movie on August 17, 2018.

PLOT

Lara Jean writes letters to boys she feels an intense passion for and locks the letters away in her closet. Her latest letter is to her childhood friend Josh, who is dating her older sister Margot. When Margot moves to college, she breaks up with Josh. At school, Lara Jean is confronted by a crush of hers, Peter Kavinsky. Peter reveals he was mailed his letter, causing Lara Jean to faint. After waking up, she sees Josh approaching with his letter and, in a moment of panic, Lara Jean kisses Peter. Peter proposes to Lara Jean fake dating each other to make his ex-girlfriend Gen jealous (she is also Lara Jean's ex best friend). She agrees and the two make a contract.

Rebecca's Outlook

Finding the true love isn't easy, especially for who is scared of love and Lara Jean knows this well. That's one of the reasons why I found her really relatable: just like me or any girl in the Universe, she loves fantasizing about love, but she is scared of getting hurt. This movie gives you valuable lessons about this and others themes. Plus the Asian-American cast is outstanding, especially the stars Lana Condor and Noah Centineo which have an amazing chemistry on and off-screen. The story per se is really pure and the script is well written. I suggest you to watch this movie (if you hadn't already) before the sequel To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You comes out on February 12, 2020.
