Altura has had one of the roughest histories out of any countries on the eastern continent. Formed and reformed many times. Its history is filled with wars over the rich resources in the mountains it holds and their defensibility.

The area where Altura currently lies originally used to be filled by small nations in constant war with each other, only later some came together to form larger nations. This breaking up and merging of nations eventually lead to most of the western nations being united under one banner, Aerit. They waged war against much of the eastern mountains but eventually lost when they came together under the country Ignis. Aerit lost much territory and later much of its plains when Crestsea invaded from the north. Aerit eventually collapsed and formed into Altura and Sora, which in turn merged with Ignis under the new name Ignisora.

Even with their complicated history relations between the countries is good as trade between them reaches historic highs.
