Theo can have little a villain arch- as a treat ÚwÙ
So,,, did y'all know that Giratina is a ghost type Pokemon? Because I just remembered that little detail aaannddd,,,,
I've been going a lil bonkers thinking about a Theo and Subway Boys au where Ingo is taken like he is in PLA, but instead of Rei or Akari falling through a rift into Hisui, it's Emmet. Leaving Theo completely alone in Unova, searching desperately for their family
More doodles and rambles under the cut!!
Also!! Spoilers for Pokemon Legends: Arceus!!!
So, just as a PSA, I haven't actually finished PLA yet. I'm doing the thing where I don't want the good thing to end, so I'm procrastinating finishing it. So for the sake of this au-- I'm gonna just like,, ignore everything that apparently happens after the main plot. Okay, anyway!!
So,,, Ingo disappears one day, right? Leaving Theo and Emmet to try and pick up the pieces. They're having a rough time, doing everything they can to keep it together and to find Ingo. They work together to gather any clues they can, and they feel like they're close to reaching a breakthrough!
But then Emmet disappears.
And Theo is left completely alone- her family just,, gone. Elesa and Skyla try to comfort them, try to keep them from crumbling entirely but... It's not enough. And Theo just... Can't take it.
They begin to start having strange dreams, shrouded in darkness and hard to process. Dreams her Pokemon just can't seem to get rid of. Theo begins losing sleep, haunted by shadows and voices that she just... Can't understand.
But one night, everything becomes clear.
And a strange Pokemon, one she only faintly recognizes, speaks to her. Tells them that it knows what happened to her family. What took them away from them. And it wants to help- because the thing that took Theo's family was the same that hurt it so horribly, longer ago than even the stones can remember. Theo just needs to find a way to get to it, then it can help her.
And Theo agrees.
Cue Theo furiously searching for a way to get to this Pokemon, Giratina as they soon find out, eventually going to Sinnoh and accessing the Distortion World.
This is where Theo and Giratina strike an agreement, forged from anger, from bitterness. From grief. And Theo allows Giratina to basically (partially) possess them, and they head back in time to Hisui together.
Tumblr media
Emmet's coat was left behind, so Theo has taken to wearing it. It doesn't fit them very well, but it's all she has left of her brother-in-law. So she wears it. (Also listen I,,, the design is edgy but I'm just having SO much fun with this just,,, let me be cringe 🥺)
So from this point on, Giratina!Theo basically becomes the antagonist for post game. A new rift opens up above the Coronet Peak, more similar to the space time rifts that open in the over world than the biggun they had to deal with before, and Galaxy Team scouts report seeing something humanoid in the mist and shadows that have overtaken the temple. And who better to send then Ingo and Emmet- the trainers who have had the most experience dealing with this type of shit than anyone else.
They go up to the peak, brave through the now very distorted area and they see Theo, in all their fucked up and corrupted glory. They don't manage to get super close though, because Giratina and Theo are literally after one thing and one thing only- and that's beating up Arceus, and they are very much in the mindset of,,, not recognizing Theo's family in that moment. It's... It's fun.
So long, LONG story short,, Ingo and Emmet wind up having to One: try and get Arceus to come down and deal with this mess, unsuccessfully mind you, and Two: enlist the help of the lake guardians to maybe try and get through to this very strange and angry Pokemon-Human hybrid situation. Thus, gameplay wise at least, Emmet and Ingo team up and battle Giratina!Theo, who's team consists of Spooky the Gengar, Mimi the Mimikyu, her Dusknoir, Ingo's Chandelure, and Emmet's Eelektross. The last two wind up triggering some memories for the two, and it's a bit of a reunion! But! No time for that, because the last pokemon they have to face is Giratina itself.
However, the lake guardians swoop in and basically knock Giratina, and by extent Theo, the fuck out. Thus begins like,, this internal struggle within Theo and Giratina where they have to decide between their rage and healing.
And of course, I'm a sucker for happy endings sooo
Tumblr media
They decide they want to try and heal. It takes a bit of convincing on Giratina's part, it's spent so long being angry and bitter about everything that hurt it past present and future, but Theo wants to help it to the best of their abilities. They've basically been sharing a mind for a while now, they understand eachother. And they decide that they don't want to be angry anymore, they don't want to be in pain.
So they separate completely, and Theo is left scarred from the experience, and Giratina refuses to leave their side, even volunteering willingly to get inside a PokeBall. Theo is rushed back to Jubilife for medical attention, and it's during their time in the medical ward that Ingo and Emmet remember who they are, what they mean to them. And they're finally reunited!!!
Anyway it's,,, I like the idea of people going absolutely insane when they lose someone they love so,,, yeah!! Lil villain arch thing that I am DESPERATELY trying not to give in and make canon to their actual story. We'll,,, we'll see agajagsia
Anyway- bonus doodle:

I like Koyanskaya, Tunguska was great for her (even if she's not real Tamamo, which was weird). Seriously, you like Oberon and Lev (who are both villains), but when it's female villain, she isn't allowed to be liked and forgiven? "Let us see each other again someday" was truly powerful ending, cannot wait to see the explanation for Koyanskaya the Assassin (avatar made with Self Manifestation, perphaps?)
Here's spoilers.
Eh, I don't like Lev, I theorize about him because he's important (And in other parallel worlds, he is a hero according to Nasu), but I'm not fond of him as a character. And yes, I like Oberon, because he makes sense (unlike certain poorly written mess of this chapter), and his ending was fulfilling. We let Oberon fall endlessly in his own pit. That's a tragic but beautiful wrap-up. I'm not a Morgan fan, but her ending was equally great. Stabbed to death by the Couriers, unable to reach her throne. You can dislike a character, but you can admit it was well-written. They are humanized and treated as characters, and they don't need to bend over the cast and plot to "rescue" them after they have been one of the causes of grief from Chaldea. Speaking of Lev, why didn't we shield him from Altera in Septem?
Mash has more reasons to care for Lev, who was her professor for years, than a nasty bitch who destroyed her home and she has only interacted later sparingly and almost tensely. If the genders were reversed, everyone would raise eyebrows, but because she's a cute foxgirl (rabbitgirl), it becomes a brain rot. A disease to make them stop thinking critically.
Why would Koyaskaya need to be "liked or forgiven" by the characters (the players are subjected to their own biases)? She's done absolutely nothing to warrant forgiveness. All this forgiveness was forced upon us when it was established a chapter ago we won't ever forgive her. See the bad characterization in action? Her villain decay began around LB3 and I feared instead of smashing her face as she deserves while she goes down, guns blazing in a glorious way, we'll get this infuriating and bland not redemption (because she wasn't even redeemed, she just forgive her... because... because Jiang Ziya wants to shag her doppelganger, I guess - yes there is a “mutual benefit” stuff but that was so poorly executed to make me think Chaldea would choose to negotiate like that).
Why would anyone in their right mind want to see her again? Maybe appearing as a Servant like Kiara, makes sense and works her redemption there, but not when she has done nothing to earn this sentiment. You can defeat enemies and don't go "I want to see you again" to just roll their pokemon gacha. Did Guda tell this to Kama? Douman? No. And they did to Chaldea less damage than Koyanskaya who spearheaded the attack that killed people who stuck as Guda's allies for two years, who protected him from the Clock Tower. Guda betrayed their trust by saying those words. I'm also disgusted with Gordolf somehow taking all the blame for this to whitewash her. It's not the poor woman's fault, but his, who was almost killed by her twice. Let's bring Lev, by all means, put them in their position. Assume Olga survived and there's a chapter saying she wants to save him and says it's her responsibility he sabotaged Chaldea and tried to kill her. How would you feel? And unlike Olga's connection to whatever Flauros wants to stop, Koyanskaya did it all out of malice and hatred. She even planned to sew Guda as tail to watch him suffer in witnessing humanity's destruction if hadn't been for Oberon's schemes messing her up. That's the character Guda "wants to see again." Someone with an unearned arc, giving just a slap on the wrist for karma of all her actions. All because wow the fluffy weird goat sheeps are cute (and she's a cute girl).
No. It only makes sense when the enemy was established as a friend beforehand and grew close before the betrayal, and personally harbors complicated feelings toward Guda. Like Moriarty or Abigail. That's the troupe well done, by the way. Koyanskaya isn't.
By all means, you’re free to like her, but I can’t suspend my disbelief about how horrible the conclusion was, and the concept behind her was also absolutely stupid with a poorly executed characterization.

*Slowly walks up to you, cradling this*
*Gently sets it down in fromt of you*
*SPRIN TS THE FUCK AEWAY IN PANIC*
Okay anyways hi I’m back after like, months lol, sorry about that (but I’m not actually back because I’m busy trying not to die because of school-work and trying to work on some MAP parts. I literally said five days ago on my yt channel “Hi I’m back now!! :-D” and school just said “no <3″ which, um, rude. So yeah I might come on and occasionally come post something but I’m really not gonna be coming on here to be active
OKAY OKAY but I need to explain these sketches because they will be suuuper confusing without context, I am very aware, yes, so there’s an explanation (+ some extra art and a non-shaded version of the stuff above) under the cut :-)
BASICALLY, @lulzyrobot made this AU of Pokémon Sword and Shield and now I have brain rot because of it. Also this AU will indeed be confusing to those who have no knowledge about sword and shield so here’s a skippable paragraph about the game:
(OBVIOUSLY SPOILERS BELOW)
Basically, SwSh is just a Pokémon game (no surprise there) and its gimmick or whatever is Dynamax, which turns Pokémon like. Really fucking large. (Some of them can also Gigantamax which changes their appearance as well as size, but we don’t care about that here bc it really isn’t relevant). In all gyms (except one, Spikemouth) there are power spots, which are needed for a Pokémon to Dynamax. If they’re not close to a power spot, they can’t do it. There are also power spots in the Wild Area (which is, you guessed it, an area in the game). At one point in the game, the villain -- Chairman Rose -- starts up something called “the Darkest Day”, which happened before in the Galarian region (which is where everything takes place), in hopes of getting infinite energy for them or something like that (really makes no sense but like ok pop off ig). To do this, he basically uses these things called Wishing Stars -- which are what allows Pokémon to Dynamax -- to summon a Pokémon called Eternatus. In-game, you basically just summon two other legendaries (Zacian and Zamazenta -- they’re on the cover of the games) and fight Eternatus and then catch the fucker. That’s all context you need for this AU so let’s move on to that now:
The AU is basically that Eternatus sends out a powerful blast which fuses trainers with Pokémon, to varying degrees. The closer to a power spot you are, the more likely you are to get it bad. If you’re far enough from one you won’t be affected at all. A person can merge with multiple Pokémon, but the more of them, the harder it is to not go wild. If you merge with a wild Pokémon, you’ll become a Wild Trainer (and those basically act like, well, wild Pokémon).
If you want more info (which you do want, trust me on this), here’s a post made by the creator themself!! https://lulzyrobot.tumblr.com/post/610890677032747008/pokemon-dynamorph-au-masterpost
OKAY ANYWAY, back onto this specific sketch (wow I really went on a rampage there lol)
I decided to Dynamorph my trainersona(??????) (btw, both the Dynamorph version AND the “human” version are WIPs, I’m not completely happy with either of them) and this was the resuulltttt
- Their name is Robin (because I’m a bastard that does self-insert ships with no shame)
- They merged with their Arcanine (and I’m considering also adding a wild Lycanroc, both so I can give them Epic Claws™ and so that their whole extremely volatile nature makes any sense)
- They have some REAL trouble keeping themself in check. Like. They’re constantly on the edge between becoming a Wild Trainer and being “normal”
- Because I am, like I said, a bastard who does self-ships without any shame they are together with Piers. yes I am a simp for him.
- Robin has their select group of friends (made up of all gym leaders minus Opal because they have no idea what the fuck is up with her, as well as Marnie, Hop and Leon. No they don’t give a shit about Bede) which they are super protective of. They have to be reminded that they can all handle themselves, because they might otherwise become a bit possessive.
- While they are a raging storm you do NOT want to get involved with in any way to anybody outside their friend group, they are really nice to be around when they really care about you. They may be pretty stubborn, but they always do what they think is best for their loved ones. On multiple occasions, they’ve gone out to collect any sorts of gifts they can find that they think their friends will enjoy. They are super gentle and kind with Hop and Marnie (which, by the way, they’d literally die for either of them) and they’re overall a good friend/partner. Their main flaw here is their temperament and somewhat possessive nature.
- If anybody did something to even moderately hurt any of their friends... hoo boy, you do NOT want to do that. They’ve nearly killed people for leaving so much as a scratch on their loved ones, and have to be physically dragged away so they won’t really kill somebody.
- However. Despite really, truly believing they'd never, under ANY circumstances, hurt ANY of their friends... they’re wrong about that. The only ones they could truly never purposely cause harm to would be Piers, Marnie and Hop. Yes, it would take A LOT for them to hurt any of the others (like, they’d only hurt the others if they tried to, idk, kill them or something. Or if they tried or actually did kill somebody else in their close circle) but it could hypothetically happen.
- If they ever were to see Rose, he’d probably be torn to shreds on sight. Literally nothing would be able to stop them.
- While it’s near impossible for anybody they don’t care about to calm them down, it’s pretty easy for especially Hop, Marnie, Piers, Raihan, Leon and Milo (and the others, but less so for them lol).
- They were right by a power spot, like they were about to step into a den, when the blast happened so they were. Really fucking affected by it. They stayed in the Wild Area for a while after that, searching for their Arcanine who had “mysteriously vanished”, before they transformed. They were basically a Wild Trainer for at least a month before Piers found them and managed to get them to remember who they actually were over the course of two days. It was,, really concerning when they’d at first been texting him pretty much non-stop to update him on what was going on with them just to then go radio silent for a few days, especially since people had begun transforming at that point. Haha angst go brrr
- You must ignore how their clothes still kind of fit despite them growing to be both more ~muscular~ and tall and how it’s not dirty for the sake of my convenience ok
Ok I think that’s all? woah that was a long post lmao
Anyways, here’s the promised extra art (first one is the same sketch without any shading and that stuff (buT I MISSED ONE, I DIDN’T REMOVE THE SHADING FROM ONE I AM SORRY LOL), second is Robin as just a regular trainer)
Tumblr media
Oh also some context for some of the sketches:
Bottom one where they’re screaming “yOU mOthErFuCKeR” is what their reaction would be to one of their loved ones being killed
The one with Milo is Robin just. Being near him. After probably having some sort of panic or anxiety attack because they’re worried about everyone. Because Milo is a really calming person to be around.
Top one in the middle is Robin just patting the red eye-lens-things Raihan got from his Flygon because they find it to be Very Entertaining to just pat them for no reason at all.
The ones where they’re hugging Marnie would take place right after they come back to Spikemouth after their month(s) as a Wild Trainer. They still weren’t used to being around people (and much less BEHAVING like a PERSON) so they were pretty awkward about Marnie hugging them.
The one where they’re surrounded by darkness to the right and kneeling forward is them in the middle of their “transformation” after the blast happened.
Fiery ones at the top right are just Robin being pissed as fuck lol
Tumblr media
(Still haven’t decided if this will be the “official” team of Pokemon I have, but it’s cool for now. Also yes, I added an extra Pokemon to my “team” who isn't actually a battle-Pokémon or whatever. I NEED APPLETUNS EMOTIONAL SUPPORT OKAY)
