Night Video, on the other hand, allows guests to record themselves in the dark surrounded by reflective panels to boost the Galaxy S23’s ability to capture motion while light conditions are low. Finally, the Night Portrait room allows guests to take a portrait of themselves surrounded by colored lights to show the Galaxy S23’s enhanced Nightography feature in portrait mode.

The Epic Nightography room highlighted the very best of Samsung Galaxy S23’s enhanced Nightography feature, which includes a new AI-powered image signal processing (ISP) algorithm that enhances object details and color tone under low-light conditions, which makes images at night crisper and more detailed compared to older Night Mode features in the Samsung line. One can also take pro-grade photos with The Expert RAW app, which is exclusive to Samsung Galaxy.

The series also has the most stable video capture yet with a doubled optical image stabilizer (OIS), so taking videos at night do not have to look blurry. The video quality has also improved with the new series, with enhanced 8K video at 30fps with a wider angle for the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra.

The K-pop girl group Dreamcatcher who sang ‘Eclipse’, the 2nd cour opening theme of the anime ‘King’s Raid: Successors of the Will’ appears on Akiba Souken!

Dreamcatcher is a 7-member K-pop girl group that is garnering world-wide attention with rock sounds and powerful performances both rare in Korea. After making their Korean debut in January 2017, they made their Japanese debut in November 2018. As they continue to be active world-wide, they are set to release their 4th Japanese single CD, ‘Eclipse’, on March 24th, 2021.

The song is currently being used as the opening theme of the anime ‘King’s Raid: Successors of the Will’, the 2nd cour of which is currently being aired.

– Since this is your first appearance on Akia Souken, the anime and hobby information site, could you please introduce yourselves?

– Did you play King’s Raid or watch the anime? First off, tell us about the fun elements of King’s Raid or your thoughts on it.

GH: First off, the graphics really popped and looked so pretty. Good, good! I really liked it. I think anyone should be able to find a character they like.

YH: I liked the story and the look of the characters depicted in ‘King’s Raid’, too, so I had fun with the game! Say what you will, but a game needs to entertain your eyes to be fun, right?

JU: The in-game actions felt spectacular, so I had fun looking at it. And, you could really feel the emotions between the characters, so I really felt drawn in.

DM: For the action, you could set it on ‘auto mode’ and use the ‘speed-up’ feature, so you can skip the boring bits. Also, you can position your characters in action scenes, equip better items or gems, and in general, play according to your own strategy, which was fun.

SY: The ‘probability’ (the actions most likely to be taken) between the characters and their relationships make the game feel unique compared to other games.

HD: I don’t play games much, but ‘King’s Raid’ was fun. The art was pretty, and I began to realize what fun you can have with games playing ‘King’s Raid’.

SA: I also don’t play games much, but with the pretty character art and the diverse cast of characters, I think King’s Raid is a game that anyone could enjoy.

– You recently sang the 2nd cour opening theme of the anime, King’s Raid: Successors of the Will. How did you feel when you first heard about it?

SA: I thought, ‘King’s Raid had it all planned out’! I really liked the details of the anime and felt interested, so I feel proud to have sung the opening theme of the show.

JU: We had success with  the song ‘Deja Vu’, our first collaboration we did with the game  back in 2019, so I hoped we could work together again. Plus, we had hoped to sing an anime opening theme since our debut, so getting through another good ‘first’ with them is an honor. I’m happy!

YH: It’s such an honor!! I feel so grateful that they trusted us with the song. We worked hard to meet those expectations.

DM: Them giving us an opportunity again made me feel surprised and grateful.

SY: We could contribute to such a fantastic piece of media, so I feel thankful to the VESPA staff!

GH: As expected of King’s Raid! (Laughs) I’m really glad that we got to work together again. We got a good response last time, so I hope we can get good synergy this time too.

HD: First off, I felt honored. I’m happy that King’s Raid got an anime adaptation (Laughs) and that we got to sing its opening theme. I’d be glad if we get another chance to collaborate like we did last time with Deja Vu!

– What is your new song ‘Eclipse’ like?

JU: It is a song memorable for the rock sounds that fit the dynamic nature of ‘King’s Raid’, and the sentimental yet energetic lyrics that convey the emotions that pass between the characters.

DM: It’s a song that is a message filled with one’s heart, addressed to someone who cannot be reached.

– Tell us a memorable story from the recording sessions.

SA: The song itself has a certain power that draws out your emotions, so I was excited all throughout the recording. I remember that I got through the recording with a sort of sprinting feeling.

JU: Ever since our collaboration with Deja Vu, I was struck by the relationship between Kasel and Frey. In the lyrics of ‘Eclipse’ I felt the sad pain as well as the iron will in those characters, so I felt more deeply immersed. Also, I was worried about my Japanese pronunciations, but the director told me that my pronunciation was great, so that felt good. (Laugh)

YH: After getting the lyrics, I worked hard on singing my parts so that the emotions would fit the background and the energy of the song.

DM: It was more difficult for me because I had to sing as well as rap.

SY: I had to make the emotions hit right from the beginning of the song, so I put a lot of effort into making my voice as fine as possible. I also felt that my pronunciation was getting better and better. (Laugh)

GH: True. We recorded the 1st verse first and recorded the 2nd verse later, and I felt a new charm from the 2nd verse, different from the 1st one.

HD: At first, we got the lyrics with the pronunciation written in Hangul. But for me, Chinese is easier to read. So one by one, I rewrote the lyrics in Pinyin and practiced that way. (Handong is from China)

– Tell us the points of note within the song.

SA: It’s a sentimental yet powerful song. Please try to feel it to its fullest when you listen to it.

JU: The sad sentimentality of the beginning part….. But then after that, rock sounds that match the energetic action scenes kick in! I think that gap is a point to be noted.

YH: I felt that King’s Raid and the song go so amazingly well together! If you watch the anime as well as listen to the song, I think you’ll be able to be more deeply immersed emotionally into the show!

DM: If you watch the anime as well as listen to the song, the two will have better synergy, I think.

SY: The well-structured lyrics that depict the world of King’s Raid so well!

GH: As it is an opening theme, I think it’s better if you listen to the song while watching the anime.

HD: I felt that it was a good song ever since we first listened to it. It’s a song that’s overflowing with energy, and captures the elements of the anime very well.

– What would the on-stage performance be like?

SA: If I were to put it in terms of art, it will be done very prettily. In the chorus, if we acted like we were fighting to protect something, working in vain but still with conviction, I think that would look fantastic.

JU: It would be like a ‘Deja Vu 2’ that continues from Deja Vu, I think. I just imagined us doing it, and I feel it’d look great.

YH: It would feel like a mad dash. Dreamcatcher’s choreographies are often demanding physically, but if this one was to be choreographed, I think it’d be within our top 5 demanding choreos!

DM: I want it to be a performance that depicts the emotions while still feeling energetic.

SY: I think it’d be like our previous collaboration, Deja Vu. If you’re curious, please look it up!

GH: A slightly sad charisma…

HD: Maybe a very sweaty one?

– With your hard rock sounds, Dreamcatcher is continuing down a path that stands out among K-Pop groups. What do you yourselves think about the charm of your team’s sound?

SA: It helps draw out the coolness that was hidden inside me, I feel.

JU: I think the fact that our music can be enjoyed both by rock fans and K-Pop fans is a big charm. And, every single one of our songs are good!

YH: First off, I think Dreamcatcher’s music is easy to get lost in. It has marked fantasy elements, and I think that the expressiveness of each member helps define Dreamcatcher’s own genre.

DM: It being so ‘Dreamcatcher’ is its charm, I think. We’re always working so that we can bring new elements to the table while keeping true to our rock basis.

SY: The roughness of it, I think…? I am proud of the fact that Dreamcatcher’s music is firmly Dreamcatcher, even within the rock genre.

GH: As you mentioned, there aren’t many groups that go with rock sounds, so I think that newness is a charm of ours.

HD: The fact that we are gorgeous!

– Is there a Japanese anime song you like?

SA: ‘One Summer’s Day’ from ‘Spirited Away’! Please give it a listen, everyone!

JU: I like ‘Unchanging Things (Kawaranai Mono)’ from ‘The Girl who Leapt Through Time’. Maybe it’s because I’ve listened to and sung it often since childhood, but it’s a song that I feel a special attachment to.

YH: I watch a lot of movies, and my favorite is ‘It’s Nothing (Nandemonaiya)’, the opening theme of ‘Your Name.’!

DM: Mine are ‘Previous Previous Previous Life’, ‘It’s Nothing’, and ‘Sparkle’ from ‘Your Name.’

SY: Mine is all of SPYAIR’s Gintama songs!

– Is there something that you are mindful about when singing in Japanese?

SA: I’m careful to make my pronunciations as natural as possible. Whatever the words may be, I think equally about the lyrics, the tone of my voice, and the techniques I use.

JU: Not really. Really, no. If there is one, maybe it’s to make it sound natural when I sing.

YH: It’s my pronunciation. My ‘T’ sounds tend to be really strong, so I have to pronounce the 'D' sounds of Japanese really lightly! It’s so difficult. (Tears)

DM: It’s the pronunciation, but I also practice to keep true to the ‘feeling’ of the song.

SY: Whatever song I sing, I focus on the emotions of the song. But when I sing songs in Japanese, I can’t help but be conscious of the pronunciation. I hope that when Japanese people listen to our songs, it doesn’t sound unnatural.

GH: If the pronunciation is bad, the song loses a lot of emotional power, so I’m mindful of my pronunciation.

HD: The pronunciation is always the first thing I’m conscious of.

– Finally, do you have a message for anime fans of Japan?

SA: We Dreamcatcher will continue bringing lots of cool charm to you, so please look forward to it and cheer for us!

JU: Watching anime is a learning experience, and it is a video medium that conveys a lot of emotions. I hope you experience a lot watching ‘King’s Raid’, and have fun watching it. Give Dreamcatcher’s ‘Eclipse’ lots of love too.

The Lucky Australian

 They remained under the air con waiting for he heat to pass, Aurora turning on her playstation to game with Henry. Henry noticed she much preferred survivalist horror, he watched her play a bit of dying light before Henry took over.

“It would make a great TV show” Aurora remarked, watching Henry try and escape a group of volatiles during a night mission, he had to admit, his heart rate and adrenalin were up, his hairs were standing to attention all over his body, it was unsettling and scary, but so addictive.

“I have to say, I didn’t really get too much time to get into it, but this is incredible, it’s not easy”

Aurora snorted. “That’s coz I play on nightmare mode”

Henry stole a glance at her.

“That’s hardcore”

Aurora beamed at him.

After a while, Henry noticed Aurora had fallen asleep next to him, her hands curled up underneath her face. Something caught his attention, pausing the game he looked at her arms.

There were white scars littered on them, some thin, some large. They were precise. Henry knew what they were.

He put the controller on the coffee table and hung his head. He felt so drawn out, so ripped from his skin, so weary down to his bones, so sad. All this he felt for her.

How unfair could life be to a person that only seemed to be a light in the darkness, how was she supposed to endure so much death and heartache and still consistently wake up in the fucking morning?

Henry felt the wetness of tears on his face. The burden of life seems so heavy for some, so light for others.

The never ending, continuous stream of emotion, was the pain his heart was feeling for her, as if it could simply reach out to her and out her all back together. For everything she endured, she was stronger than anyone he knew, but life shouldn’t have to throw that shit at you to make you strong. It shouldn’t have you drag you to a place where the demons go to build character. It shouldn’t have happened like that for her.

So why did it?

He cried for her. Her pain, her heartache, for everything she had been through. He cried because in the short time he knew her, he knew she deserved so much more than what life had given her. Yet, she was still here, she was still alive, still breathing, still waking in the morning next to him. Aurora had issues with her existence, she had not been fond of life, but henry was glad she was a living being.

Henry felt pickles nudge her furry little face under his hands. She looked up at him with her endless brown eyes. He smiled down sadly at her and gave her a scratch behind the ears.

“Its been a big day fluffy butt!” Slowly, he raised himself up off the couch and walked to the bathroom. Washing his face, he looked at his reflection in the mirror.

The women he had dated had been easier, this was all new territory, but somehow, he wasn’t shying away from her, from this. Henry knew he loved her, he knew she was all he needed and wanted. Still it didn’t take the sting out of the day.

He walked back into the lounge room to find Aurora waking up. She looked at the spot where Henry had been, confusion plastered on her still sleepy features. Hearing his footsteps she peered up at him and smiled. Holding out her arms, Henry all but ran into them.

He held her for a few minutes before she parted from him.

“Are you ok?”

“Yeah, I’m ok, it’s just an intense game. Went to wash my face”

Aurora stared at him, she knew he was lying but she didn’t push it.

“Well, since its 3pm, most of the out of towners would’ve gone home by now, wanna go for a swim? Then we can get a drink at the beach bar? Maybe dinner out?”

“That’s sounds nice. Although you have promised to make me some Italian food!”

Aurora rolled her eyes, a smirk on her face.

“I did, so let’s go to the beach, then I’ll make dinner!” she bounded off the lounge, going to the bedroom, Henry following her.

October rolled into November, with December fast approaching. Henry had spent the whole month getting to know the area Aurora lived in, while she was at work. She had taken him hiking in the Blue Mountains many times, he was still amazed at the travel Australians undertook all the time. A 4-hour round-trip barely tiring her out as well as hiking, meanwhile Henry would be wiped out from the whole day. His favourite days though, were the ones he got to spend at the beach, or even just wandering around the place she lived, day drinking at a few different pubs, watching the ships roll in past the horizon. Or simply enjoying wherever she took him for lunch and dinner. He particularly enjoyed the day she took him to Sydney to Bennelong. Aurora had waxed lyrical about how amazing it was, and it did not disappoint. He had to admit; he was very rarely surprised by anything, now he understood why she had told him to dress up, the restaurant was in the Sydney opera house, with a view looking out at the harbour bridge. It was fucking spectacular. Henry had tried to pay once he figured out it was a fine dining establishment. Aurora has shut that idea down quite fast, given he had taken her out in Venice; this was the least she could do. It was quite sweet. They spent the night in Sydney, Henry had stayed at a few hotels in his travels, but Aurora had pulled out all the stops when he entered the room. The room overlooked the entire Sydney Harbour. It stopped him in his tracks, rendering him breathless. Henry spent that night making sure Aurora knew how much he loved her.

Henry found himself sitting in Aurora’s office, answering mundane emails and going over scripts he had been sent, he could hear Aurora in the other room singing along to crowded house, a new favourite of his she had introduced him too. There was so much he had learnt about Aurora, her favourite band, her favourite games, her favourite sports teams (of which he now followed by default and she had promised to take him to a game come the start of the season), pet hates, favourite ice cream. He came to really love Australia; it was going to be hard to leave. Everything he loved was here.

Suddenly, a video call came through. Noticing it was Charlie, he picked up.

“Are we getting you back to the northern hemisphere?” Charlie asked.

“Fuck no, not when you look as cold as you do! Canada in the minus yet?”

“Unfortunately. More snow too, so how is the land down under?”

“Fucking glorious, it’s so hot, but I love it! Air conditioning is the most amazing thing ever invented.”

Charlie rolled his eyes “you make it sound like it’s the worlds greatest invention you’ve never heard of. You have that in England, and in Florida. You know the other place you also live?”

“It’s not as good in England. I know, but here it’s just on all the time. I really love it here; I’m only a 5minute walk to the beach. We sat a pub the other day watching ships come in, that has to be my new favourite hobby” Henry smiled

“Wow, and here I thought it was hammertime”

“War hammer Charlie!”

“Same, same. Since I haven’t spoken to you much in a month, did you end up finding out what happened with Aurora’s last relationship? I know you were worried.”

“Charlie, hold on.” Henry got up to close the door. He sat back down and told Charlie everything that had happened.

 Henry lost track of the time he and Charlie had been talking. It was nice to be able to talk to one of his brothers. He hadn’t realised how heavy things had weighed on his heart, Charlie listening to him lessened the burden. Another call came in, from his manager.

“Charlie, I gotta go, Dany is calling”

“As long as you’re ok?”

“I am Charlie, I do really love her.” He watched Charlie smile. Saying their goodbyes, he answered Dany.

“Henry, I have an invitation to the Oscars, can you be stateside in Feb?”

“Sure. Add a plus one for me?”

Dany perked up at that

“So its serious with the girlfriend? I have to say; I’ve only seen a few photos of you in Europe with her, and one of you in Sydney. I didn’t know she was Australian. How have you stayed away from the paps for so long?”

“She lives near the beach, it’s a beautiful little place, nice area, I don’t think they give a shit really, plus its almost 2 hours from Sydney, no paps will travel that far.”

Dany nodded.

“Is she prepared for what’s about to happen?”

“She’s already explained things to me for when that does happen, which I need to talk to you about next time I see you. I will do my best to help her through everything, she might not even agree to the Oscars” Henry sat back and folded his arms.

“Why? Would she be uncomfortable? Does she not have a dress?”

Henry’s eyes snapped to her closet.

“I think she has a dress, ill get back to you.”

“Alright, speak soon”

Henry hung up the call, and stood up, rolling his shoulders and stretching out his body, he walked out of the room.

BACKSTORY

Myth was, for some reason, born with future-predicting powers, with the first incident being when she was 5, and watching a sports team with her family. Her elder sisters jokingly asked her who would win, and Myth confidently spouted out her choice, which turned out later to be right, much to the shock of Myth’s family. Thinking it was just a fluke, Myth’s parents asked her for the lottery numbers, which turned out to also be correct. And with the eventual discovery of her psychic powers, came loads and loads of popularity at her school. Unfortunately, this popularity was shallow at best, with most people interacting with her purely to get a taste of her psychic powers. This led to Myth becoming an antisocial loner, who shows a great dislike of her powers and eventual Ultimate, wanting to be known for her artistic merits and become the Ultimate Watercolor Artist or Ultimate Novelist. The only reason she even became a chaperone for the Kibo-Con trip is her secret soft spot for children.

RELATIONSHIPS

Wyre Anon, Former Ultimate Affluent Progeny

Despite being rough, tough and informal in a majority of situations, Wyre is infamous for their business acumen and being the prime candidate amongst their family to succeed their oil magnate parents, who are the head of the PALEO oil company. Myth and Wyre both met in school, trying to flee from their respective fanclubs and eventually bonded over their shared trust issues regarding friends due to their shared status of being different. Wyre regularly scares off people who wish to use Myth, and Myth is forever thankful for that. If only Wyre could stop teasing Myth about her secret soft spots, that Myth is still in denial having.

Outfit: A simple tan and white suit, neatly combed hair and unbroken glasses.

Anon Scar, Ultimate Swimmer

Known worldwide for her fast speeds in the water, Scar is also known for her odd behavior when in interviews, often referring to herself as “Charybdis Incarnate”, and claiming that one day, she will reclaim her undersea throne and rule the bottom of the ocean once again. When Myth first saw Scar spouting nonsense about how the two have similar magical auras, she wanted nothing to do with the chuuni-swimmer. But when Scar realized that Myth has a very negative opinion of her own magic powers, Scar tries to dial back the facade. From there, Myth learned that Scar is almost like a mom, when she drops the “Charybdis Incarnate” act.

Outfit: Hair in a ponytail, a long black-to-purple sundress, a blue shawl wrapped around her shoulders, tan sandals. Fusion Anon, Ultimate Martial Artist

As the eldest child of two martial arts masters, it would only make sense that Fusion would want to continue their legacy, for he won competition after competition with his disciplined attitude and physical strength. Despite his threatening height and talent, which unnerved the otherwise ice-cold Myth, Fusion is actually really friendly and cheerful, and happy to educate others on different modes of martial arts. Because of Fusion’s martial arts seminars, Myth now has a new way to vent her sorrows. Fusion doesn’t like Myth’s negative view of her talent, and threatens to physically fight her, if she keeps talking bad about herself.

Outfit: A red Nippon Ichi headband, an open blue hoodie with nothing underneath and the sleeves ripped off, showing off his muscular build, red fingerless gloves, black pants, white socks, and brown sandals.

Fusion Anon II, Ultimate Soldier

Having been born in a wartorn territory, Fusion II was basically groomed to be the perfect child soldier, and help secure wins for her country. A past like that would change anybody for the worse, and Fusion II attempts to combat her trauma with sarcasm and jokes. Myth and Fusion II quickly bonded over their similar personalities and hatred for their talents, and just love to snark at people in the background. But as they learn more and more about each other, they soon became each other’s shoulders to cry on, as they vent to each other about their less-than-stellar backgrounds, and secretly confide in each other’s secret soft spots.

Outfit: Black sunglasses that hide her eyes, a grey bullet-proof vest over a blue long-sleeved shirt, a long blue skirt that hides her weapons, dark grey combat boots.

Just Anon, Ultimate Fashionista

Having strict parents who groomed him to be a perfect little doll who would make their family look good, Janon wants nothing to do with the constant photo ops, constricting outfits, and people who want to date him purely for his looks, and adopted a cynical and foul-mouthed personality to drive others away. Just like with Fusion II, Myth bonded very easily with Janon, thanks to their similar temperaments and backstories leading to said temperaments. But they also know about each other’s secret soft spot for kids, and they’ve taken it upon themselves to adopt the Jr. Ultimates, and care for and protect them.

Outfit: Literally what he wears under his bunny hoodie.

Sparkle Anon, Former Ultimate Novelist

Famous for writing only the greatest bestsellers in the romantic drama genre, such as “Senryuu of the Stars” and “Spectacular Supernova”, Sparkle’s novels are loved by practically all demographics, but they are especially loved by a certain tsundere clairvoyant. Myth regularly tries to deny being a massive fan around her idol, but Sparkle saw right through her, and gave her a sparkly autograph, causing Myth’s happiness to skyrocket, not that she would ever show it, for she has a reputation to keep up. Myth certainly didn’t expect her hero in writing to be so dramatic and eccentric, but she isn’t complaining for once. 

Outfit: Same outfit from the original but with her hairbun being held in place by a feather quill, and a sweater vest replacing her hoodie. Anon Egg, Former Ultimate Fanfiction Author, and Wet Sock Anon, Former Ultimate Moral Compass

Always the more diligent and obedient twin compared to Egg, who indulges themselves in anime, manga, and video games, Wet Sock joined the public morals commitee at their school and helped decrease the number of delinquents at their school into the single digits, thanks to their expertice in intimidation, thanks to being skilled at being cursed. Egg got their claim to fame by writing only the most cursed crack fics that they can, that no reader can deny are very well-written, despite being so cursed. Myth’s mind told her  to prepare herself for a stay with double the curses, and now, Myth knows exactly what her mind means. 

Outfits: Matching black gakurans, with Egg’s being sloppier than Wet Sock’s.

Curious Anon, Jr. Ultimate Detective

Ever since Curious was little, they have always been asked by their classmates to solve mysteries all around their school, and by the time they reached their middle school years, they had a fully-fledged and self-run detective agency which boasts a 99% success rate. When Myth first met Curious, she was half fawning over Curious, and half expecting Curious to pull a Darla Dimple and exploit her clairvoyance. But luckily for Myth, Curious turned out to be one of the most obedient and polite children that she ever met, which only served to endear Myth even more. And that’s not even getting into the bonding over people taking advantage of them.

Outfit: Same outfit from the original, but with a Sherlock Holmes-esque hat and cape.

Anon Nerd, Former Ultimate Baseball Player

Commonly regarded as both the all star and the powerhouse of his team, Nerd is an expert at both throwing the ball and catching the ball. Nerd‘s natural strength, as well as his violent and fiery attitude makes him the perfect athlete. Too bad “teamwork” and “accidents happen” just aren’t words in his vocabulary, for he wishes to carry the team all by himself and burns up anybody who costs him a win. Both the clairvoyant and the baseball player have harrowingly massive crushes on each other, but they are both way too emotionally constipated and tsundere to admit their feelings, much to the dismay of everybody else. 

Eldritch Anon, Ultimate Lucky Student

The lucky winner of Hope’s Peak lottery system, Eldritch is perhaps the most unlucky person in the world, despite what his talent would suggest. Disastrous and highly improbable events always happen to him, which gave him a paranoid and pessimistic view of the world. He fears approaching others, for the terrible luck he has might rub off on them. Myth feels a certain kinship with Eldritch, for they both have oddly supernatural talents that cause them pain and strife, despite Eldritch being too scared to interact with her. Myth kind of views Eldritch like the Jr. Ultimates, thanks to his childish build, and yearns to dots on him.

Outfit: A green hoodie patterned with clovers, black and white shorts, white socks, red and black sneakers, bandages and stitches all over his body.

Dream Anon, Ultimate Programmer

Despite what her hyperactive and childish nature would suggest, Dream is an expert at a more sedentary and intellectual pastime: computer programming. She is currently working to program technology that could help with development of prothetic limbs and artificial organs. One of the few times that Myth actually likes her future sight is when it warns her that Dream and Iris are off making their usual trouble, to which she hires the Brain Cells to save them. While Myth regularly gets irked at Dream’s energetic and childish nature, her soft spot for children just takes over, and she just can’t say mad at Dream forever.

Outfit: Pixellated pink hairpins, pink cat hoodie with grey stripes on the sleeves, grey shorts, tall white socks and pink slippers.

Iris Anon, Jr. Ultimate Biker Gang Leader

Dedicated to spreading happiness all over the world, The Smile Spreaders is a large benevolent biker gang, led by none other than the clumsy and cheery Iris Anon, and believe the members when they say that Iris is great at her job, for she knows just what to say to motivate her group, and she helps formulate all of the smile-spreading plans. Upon hearing about Myth’s talent, Myth was bombarded by praise from Iris, who finds her talent awesome, much to Myth’s confusion and irritation. Iris tried to indoctrinate Myth into her group, but Myth turns down every time. Myth uses her clairvoyance to prevent Iris and her cronies from hurting themselves though.

Outfit: Messier braids and black makeup, a black leather jacket with a smiley face on the back over a white turtleneck, spiked wristbands, a ripped-up black skirt, tall black boots with white and spiked soles.

Purple Anon, Ultimate Idol

As the lead vocalist of the gothic idol group, Ultraviolet, Purple is famed for her soft yet impactful voice. But it seems that Purple’s personality does a complete 180 when off of the stage, becoming very timid and skittish, hiding behind anything bigger than her (usually Fusion, her recently-employed bodyguard). Myth loves listening to Ultraviolet’s music, but was surprised to find out that this timid and skittish little girl is Ultraviolet’s vocalist. Probably not helping interactions between Myth and Purple, isthe fact that Purple’s vocabulary consists primarily of very old-fashioned and archaic terms, requiring Fusion to translate for her.

Outfit: A black bow in her hair, a black and purple dress, black gloves and stockings, light purple heels.  This series would center on a cynical and icy clairvoyant getting the true friends and actual love that she deserves.

PERSONALITY

Clairvoyant!Myth is a perpentually grouchy and stone-cold girl. Clairvoyant!Myth has a very low opinion of her talent, viewing it as supernatural nonsense, and wants to be known for her other merits. Because people were constantly taking advantage of her clairvoyancy, Myth’s soft and friendly heart hardened and froze over, and now shuts herself out, in fear people would try to use her again. So she is basically an emo tsundere, with a secret soft spot for both children and people who see her as something apart from a psychic genius. Myth’s clairvoyance also makes her aware of her friends are in danger, giving her something of a mom sense.

Clairvoyant!Myth has her hair dyed a variety of colors, and on her head, Clairvoyant!Myth wears a grey beanie, that conceals a long and squiggly ahoge. Clairvoyant!Myth also wears a green parka over a galaxy themed dress and grey boots on her feet.

The last time Arthur Edwards took a photo of Prince Charles with Lord Louis Mountbatten, the heir to the throne had his arm around his great uncle. Similarly, Mountbatten had his arm around his great-nephew. They both seemed to be in fine form that day, not too long before Mountbatten lost his life to an IRA bomb in the summer of 1979 off the coast of Ireland. "They were laughing together," Edwards, the longtime royal photographer for the Sun newspaper, recalled over the phone from the U.K. this week. The recollection came to mind as controversy swirls over the newly released Season 4 of the Netflix drama The Crown. The show takes viewers into the reign of Queen Elizabeth, with the latest season moving the action into the 1980s. In the first episode, Mountbatten is seen just before his assassination writing a letter to Charles saying he could bring "ruin and disappointment" on the Royal Family with his pursuit of Camilla Parker Bowles, who in real life is now Charles's wife but at that time was married to someone else. There's no evidence — again, in real life — that such a letter was ever written or that Charles and Mountbatten quarrelled before he was killed. It's just one of many moments in the latest season that have set off debate over how fact meets fiction in the award-winning drama created by Peter Morgan. "Many people will think it's the truth ... but it's not," said Edwards, who snapped his first photo of Charles feeding sugar to his polo ponies in the mid-1970s, just after he'd left the Royal Navy. "Much of it … comes out of a scriptwriter's brain, which I can understand because … it's drama.” What bothers Edwards, he said, is the portrayal of Charles. "I've worked with him now for over 40 years, and I don't recognize that man in it." And therein lies a challenge of turning history into drama. "Certainly, in every season [of The Crown], there's a blend of fact and fiction, but it stands out in Season 4 because we are getting closer to the present day," said Toronto-based royal historian and author Carolyn Harris. Because so many in the audience will have their own memories of how what is portrayed in Season 4 turned out in real life — how Charles's marriage to Diana, Princess of Wales, collapsed in spectacular fashion, for example — there is perhaps further potential for the controversy now swirling. "It's always a challenge with historical fiction that the people who are being portrayed do not know what's going to happen next, but the audience ... does," said Harris. In some instances, the episodes present events that played out in the public eye and reflect the historical record. "An example is that engagement interview where Prince Charles famously said, 'whatever in love means,'" said Harris. But there are many other examples of events being fictionalized or put together to create a narrative. Take Michael Fagan's break-in at Buckingham Palace, a focus of Episode 5. That actually happened, in 1982. He breached security and made it to the Queen's bedroom, where he spoke to her. "But Michael Fagan describes it as a very brief conversation before he was arrested, whereas for the purposes of the series, he has a more extended dialogue about [Prime Minister] Margaret Thatcher's politics in order to tie this event to the series's critique of political developments while [she] was prime minister," said Harris.

Edwards worries, however, that people will believe The Crown's version of what happened when Fagan broke into the palace that night, which isn’t true, with its portrayal of a longer chat with the Queen. "That's what really irritates me," he said. And he remains troubled by the thought that the portrayal of Charles, pilloried for a bad marriage, doesn't reflect the driven and hard-working man he has seen up close, whether he is visiting and offering support to schoolgirls in northern Nigeria or the Jewish community in Krakow, Poland. "You won't see that on Netflix." Edwards went with Charles when he returned in 2015 to the site of Mountbatten's assassination. "I watched him … and he was remembering it." As aware as Edwards is of The Crown, he has stopped watching it.   "You've got to remember it's drama; it's not necessarily the whole truth."

Just let loose and dance Peter Morgan may be the creative mind behind The Crown, but in the current season, at least one moment playing out on the small screen came straight from the actor. At one point, Diana — played by Emma Corrin — dances by herself with wild abandon inside a very well-appointed room at Buckingham Palace — or in this case, a stately home filling the role of the palace where Diana went to live after her engagement to Prince Charles was announced in 1981. "It was one of my favourite scenes to film," Corrin said in a recent interview with the Royal Fascinator. "I loved it because they wanted to choreograph it, and I said, 'Do you mind if we don't ... I don't think we can choreograph a moment like that. I'd love to just let loose and dance.'" So she did, and she chose the song that was blasting over the speakers during filming, a bit of musical time travel to 1998, and Cher's Believe. Corrin's love for the song dates back a few years. "There's a theatre company in Britain called DV8, and they do this show called The Cost of Living, and there's an amazing dance scene," she said. "A guy does this dance to Cher's  … Believe…. It's like the truest form of expression I've seen." In Corrin's research for the role, she was surprised to learn how important dance was for Diana. "It was quite a private thing," said Corrin. "You see her dancing and what that does, how that is such a mode of expression and release, and I thought that was really interesting."

Looking ahead — and looking back

Every so often over the past few years, there have been rumblings about whether Queen Elizabeth, now 94, might step aside from her role as she gets older. And as soon as those rumblings emerge, other royal observers are quick to note how that is unlikely for a variety of reasons, including the dark shadow cast by her uncle's abdication as King Edward VIII in 1936, her deep devotion to duty and how she has always considered her role as one for life. So it wasn't too surprising to see that scenario play out again in recent days when one royal biographer suggested Elizabeth might "step down" when she turns 95 next April. But soon after, there was also a very strong signal from Buckingham Palace about looking ahead in her reign. The first plans were announced for celebrations in 2022 to mark her Platinum Jubilee, or 70 years on the throne. Royals in Canada

While members of the Royal Family have made numerous trips to Canada over the years, The Crown hasn't turned its dramatic attention to them yet, even though the show has featured several foreign visits.

"It's a shame," said royal historian Harris, because during Queen Elizabeth's reign, "there have been some very interesting Canadian tours."

Sure, there's been a brief glimpse of a Canadian flag at a table during a Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting portrayed in The Crown.

"But we don't see Canada assuming a prominent role, whereas the series has had at least three tours of Australia," Harris said.

One episode in the current Season 4 focuses on Charles and Diana's 1983 trip Down Under. Shortly after that visit, Charles and Diana came to Canada. Had that been portrayed in The Crown, it would have backed up a developing theme, Harris said.

During the visit, Diana celebrated her 22nd birthday on Canada Day.

"There's press footage of Canadians giving Charles birthday cards to give to Diana, and a scene like that would have supported the theme of that episode of Charles feeling overshadowed by Diana," said Harris.

Edwards, the Sun photographer, was along for that trip, and has been to Canada about 15 times with members of the Royal Family.

The 1983 trip lasted 17 days and was "fantastic," he said. "It was just brilliant. I can recall it like it was yesterday. We criss-crossed the country."

During the opening of the World University Games in Edmonton on July 1, the crowd sang Happy Birthday to Diana.

"The whole crowd. It was phenomenal," said Edwards.

Harris sees potential plotting for future seasons of The Crown possibly playing into how the series has portrayed foreign visits so far.

"We see a stronger Australia focus, and it's certainly possible that the 1999 Australian referendum [on the monarchy] may come up in a subsequent season so some of this may be building towards that.

"But definitely in terms of the Commonwealth, certain nations are emphasized more than others in the series."
