When you got time, do you have any tips on writing Ingo and Emmets dialogue? I really like how you write them but I can't seem to get their speech down. It's mainly Ingos which is annoying since he canonical has more dialogue than Emmet.
Oh thank you!! I’m glad you enjoy- writing these boys dialogue is one of my favorite parts of writing and has made me seriously consider how I write speech for every character I do. It’s been great practice!
Okay, actual advice time lol.
HOW TO WRITE INGO AND EMMET
(According to me, Blue)
(Now, keep in mind that there isn’t one true way to write the boys, and this is just how I personally write them. Take this with a grain of salt)
When you’re first starting out writing the boys I recommend writing dialogue in your own voice and then submasifying it.
For example, let’s take this dialogue and transform it:
“Sorry I’m late for work! My dog chewed through my nice pants so I had to find some new ones! It’s been a bit of a rough day today, not gonna lie.”
So starting with Ingo-
Ingo talks extremely formally and is super long winded. When writing dialogue for him, try to imagine a fancy British butler who uses long words and long sentences. Replace normal words with more “fancy” ones and use more words then you really need to. (A thesaurus can be extremely useful for this)
“My sincerest apologies for my tardy arrival!”
Then, pepper in train terms as much as possible. If he goes three sentences without saying something train related, find a way to stick one in. If you’re stuck, look up a list of train words and take inspiration (I’ll include a list of train expressions I commonly pull from at the bottom of the post) (Make sure to use “Bravo!” and “All aboard!” whenever applicable as well)
“I awoke to the unpleasant surprise of joltik holes in my trousers this morning- which delayed my cab significantly as I was forced to find an undamaged pair!”
I personally strive to use consonants (stuff like I’d, we’ll, don’t) as little as possible with the boys. For Emmet it’s to add to the choppiness of his dialogue and for Ingo it’s because that man would rather use fifty words when one will do. (It also makes them sound more professional!)
“Honestly, after a morning like this one, I pray that the remainder of today’s tracks prove to be much smoother.”
Another thing to keep in mind is that Ingo is extremely polite while Emmet is a bit more blunt. Try to use titles like “sir” and “miss” when writing Ingo- and then just don’t bother with Emmet.
Next up is Emmet, who I personally find much harder then Ingo! Unlike Ingo who’s dialogue you need to add words to, Emmet you need to subtract and simplify! This is the post I originally read to kinda get the jive of things, but here’s my pointers!
First off, figure out what concepts the are being expressed in your sentence, and split those apart.
“Sorry I’m late for work!” has two parts- an apology and an acknowledgment that the person is late. For Emmet we would want to split this single sentence into two.
“I am Emmet! I am late! Sorry!”
Next is vocal ticks! Emmet has several, and they should ideally be sprinkled in sparingly through his dialogue. (You can see that I used ‘I am Emmet’ in the previous section)
‘I am Emmet’ should be used when he is joining a conversation or when he’s about to say something about himself. It CAN be used more then once in a single conversation- but try not to overdo it.
‘Verrrrrrrry’ is another one! Other submas authors have him roll the r on other words as well, but I stick with verrrrrry. This one is easy to use- just extend the word very with extra Rs and use very whenever naturally applicable.
‘Yup’ is one as well- and one I admittedly don’t use often. It rarely jives with the way I write Emmet so I usually don’t bother- but you should definitely keep it in mind!
And of course, train terms! Less often then Ingo of course (since he says less words in general) but if you can find a way to fit it in, go for it.
“The joltiks chewed holes in my pants! Verrrrry naughty. Had to find new pants. Holey pants do not pass safety checks! Yup!”
Finally, the man likes his patterns! When writing Emmet it’s a good idea to have his Blubapedia page open nearby so you can just steal chunks of his script from that. (You can, and should do this for Ingo too!)
“Bad morning. Oh well. Follow the schedule! Everybody smile! All aboard!”
Of course, the man is perfectly capable of speaking longer sentences- but when and where he does so is up to the author.
All that being said, it’s important to remember that you’ll likely have to attempt their dialogue a few times before getting a sentence to flow right. Even for these examples I had to do a couple takes until I found one that really worked!
Here’s a couple of other notes for writing Pokémon characters in general:
Watch out for expressions and words that use animals. (like beeline or ‘in the dog house’) Try to replace those words with their Pokémon counterparts- (such as combeeline [which I’ve typed so many times I’ve started using internally in my day to day life]) or something that sounds close enough (like if your censoring f***, ducklett doesn’t work nearly as good as duck. So try muk instead!)
Do your best to replace religious swears with Pokémon religion! Instead of heavens, or the big G word, use words like, ‘Dragons!’ Or ‘Sweet Swords of Justice!’ (Of course, these are Unovan swears. For Hisui you should be using things like ‘Sinnoh’ and ‘great Time!’. Other regions have their own legendaries as well)
And finally, my list of train terms I pull from regularly!
Cab (or car): To refer to one’s body
“I am afraid my cab is in need of repairs.”
Tracks: A plan or intended route
“Very well! I will follow the tracks you have set!”
Destination: The goal or like, the actual destination
“Bravo! Your talent has brought you to the destination called victory!”
Station (or terminal): A location
“Very well! Let us set our tracks to the Pearl Clan’s station!”
Two Car Train (or three or four or whatever number you need): Friends or a team
“Emmet and I are a two car train!”
Couple (opposite being uncoupled): To join together
“I must ask that you couple your car to mine as we make our way through here. It can get quite dangerous!”
Engine: Another term for your body, but more specifically in regards to energy or drive
“I’m afraid I must rest my engine.”
Refuel: Eat.
“It is getting quite late- let us take a break to refuel.”
Conducting: Guiding
“I look forward to conducting you on this endeavor!”
Derailment (or collision, wreck, trainwreck): Something that has gone wrong.
“Apologies. It appears I have been derailed.”
Unscheduled (opposite being scheduled): Something unexpected
“Ah! A cave in! It appears we must make an unscheduled stop.”
Passenger: Person (or Pokémon)
“It appears we have picked up some unexpected passengers!”
Conductor: Ingo sometimes uses this to refer to himself (works especially well in Hisui)
“Passenger, please refrain from stabbing the conductor”
Delay: Something happening later then scheduled
“Apologies for the delay! Let us begin!”
Sidetracked: put off course
“Ah, but now I have sidetracked us with this talk.”
All aboard!: Good conversation ender 💙
“ALL ABOARD!!!”

(Read from left to right)
(I'm being mean again)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Wurmple has already been caught in this comic -- it's just very new).
Related to this post, specifically this part:
Tumblr media
Prior to evolution, Wurmple's feet used to feel kind of like Joltik feet. It would crawl all over Emmet, and the feeling of its little feetsies grabbing onto fabric and inching around reminded him, vaguely, of his little Joltik, who would also crawl all over him.
Ingo is taking care of Emmet's Pokemon, including all of his Joltik. Galvantula, along with the rest of the twins' Pokemon, worries about Ingo, and is always asking for pets and cuddles so that she can comfort him. He appreciates it.
On a less somber note, Emmet's cap is just a mess. He gets into trouble a lot. Anthe has to make him new clothes a lot. Cyllene's exasperation is unmatched a lot. And, of course, Pesselle worries a lot.
What even are proportions. That Galvantula looks massive.
Transcription under the cut (I know the dialogue in the third part is kind of tiny, sorry).
(2nd panel)
"You are a verrrry friendly Wurmple."
(3rd panel)
"Verrrry friendly!"
"Your feet tickle."
(4th panel)
"Ah! Ticklish and curious! This is verrrrry familiar."
(4th-5th panels)
"... Where are you --"
"AH!"
(6th panel)
"You are curious. And friendly."
(6th-7th panels)
"And your feet tickle."
(9th-10th, and 12th panels)
I do not know why..."
"... but it is verrrry familiar."
(13th-14th panels)
"Maybe you can help me remember."
And the Wurmple is just "?" all the time. Galvantula makes a couple of worried little sounds, and a Joltik chirps.
(Time taken: about 5 hours, 45 minutes)
(Program used: Krita)

I have a few :>
1. Do you plan to reference Hisui in any way? The events before or after Ingo disappearing or perhaps even foreshadowing?
2. The question probably on everyone's Minds: will you be able to marry/date both of the twins? Will there be special heart events for both of them as well?
3. Will the other townies make reference to the twins in their dialogue or will we have special events with one or more characters with the twins in them? (e.i: the joja cola commercial with Shane, Clint and Emily).
4. Will he be able to go inside the train station?
5. will we see Emmet's giant horde of joltiks?!
6. Will other people be allowed to make portraits of the twins?
You don't have to answer every one of them
I'm sorry asdfghjkll I'm just really excited about the mod,
i've played over 600 hours of stardew valley and I also adore Ingo and Emmet
Thank you for the ask!! This is quite long so I'm putting them under a readmore.... I hope I answered your questions well enough!!
1. Just a bit of foreshadowing! We do intend on making a Hisui expansion later down the line, but we are currently focusing on just making their pre-Hisui storyline for now!
2. Of course the twins will be datable! I started making the mod because I couldn't wait for Pokemon Masters EX to add them in and decided to just make the submas dating simulator myself haha... Stardew's base game doesn't allow for marrying more than one character at a time and currently there are no references to dating both at the same time (we still have a Lot of dialogue to write in general...). I do know that there are mods that allow you to marry multiple characters but I personally have not tried them myself (I read that your spouses would kiss each other and and quickly departed.... please do not try to make them do that. This is a no blankshipping zone. If anyone deliberately tries to use the mod for incest purposes, you will be tied to the tracks and promptly ran over). For now, the heart progression will assume that you are only going to date/marry one of the twins. If there is enough demand (or if someone else wants to write it....) another "route" could be made later on that has them acknowledging you dating each other? It would be difficult to implement since daily dialogue is tied to individual heart levels and there's not much I can do about having them acknowledge you dating the other in the base mod.
Up until you officially date them, they will simply just be very good friends with you (and a bit obsessive... they're quite lonely in Pelican Town and you're one of the few people who don't turn them away! Can you blame them for becoming so attached?). Emmet's heart progression will consist of him not quite knowing how he feels other than that you are verrrry important to him and will be verrrry similar to Nemona's friendship in scar/vio (if you know... you know) until you decide to date him. Ingo will suffer from his repressed feelings of love and write secret admirer letters to you to cope, all while ensuring that you can he is very much grateful for your friendship... he is a gentleman and wouldn't want to make you uncomfortable with his feelings so directly!
3. The other townspeople will acknowledge their existences! We are still working on specifics, but they will interact with them. Most characters are wary of them and their pokemon, so it will take time for them to warm up, but they are liked by Jas, Vincent, and Granny Evelyn (who will mention having a Bellossom long ago...).
4. The train station will be enterable! Still working out the details for that too, but we intend to make it sort of like the Community Center... We do also want to add quests to improve the exterior of the train station too (there's so much.... dirt.... it's so ugly....)
5. Most likely?? I still have a lot of spriting to do!! There will be joltiks though!
6. You are more than welcome to make your own portraits! The portraits that I drew up are too big to fit inside the vanilla game dimensions (64x64 pixels... tiny...) so I have to use portraiture to load them in (otherwise it loads the resized versions I have implemented... which are quite blurry ^^;). If anyone wants to make vanilla sized portraits to be added into the base mod then then please let me know! If you also make your own portrait mod, I would be happy to link to it when I release the mod. Though... do be aware that the portrait sheets this mod has the dialogue coded for are quite long. Here are the full portrait sheets:

I just saw some of ur Masked AU art and even went back to read how Emmet ended up in Hisui and I love it. It's such a cool idea and the Hisuian joltiks + galvantula look so damn cool!! <3 I'm curious tho :0 how did Emmet find Ingo? Like did he hear about him from Melli or ? :0c
oaoqog okokok so it takes a very long time for Emmet to even find out that Ingo is there. cus i love dragging things out longer than they have to be
so anyway, Emmet is wearing a mask, so no one could know that hes Ingos twin. All everyone knew was that he was looking for someone, but with Emmet being extremely closed off at this time, no one really knew much.
ingo and Emmet were kind of on other sides of the whole island, so they werent gonna just see eachother out in the wild, and they wouldnt even meet at jubilife, since Emmet rarely leaves the caves
and for extra pain, they keep just barely missing each other.like, Ingo leaves an area just before Emmet arrives there, and no one bothers to mentions Lady sneaslers wardens name. "two ships passing in the night" type beat
Emmet does finally find out about Ingo because of Melli! Eventually, Emmet is comfortable enough around Melli that he takes his mask off, and Melli freaks out cus this guy looks exactly like that annoying pearl warden
Emmet freaks out cus Melli freaks out, and finally both calm down enough for Melli to explain that he looks like the Pearl clan warden Ingo. Emmet cries and Melli is confused
Eventually Melli takes Emmet to jubilife to see if Ingo is there at the training grounds, and of course hes not. then they go to the pearl clan to see if hes there or ask about where he might be. Irida is very cautious about these two diamond clan wardens asking about her skrunkly warden, so she refuses to tell them where he is
Emmet takes his mask off to show her that he is in-fact Ingos brother, and Iridas like "oh shit thats the guy from Ingos memories" so she finally takes them to where he is
Ingo sees Emmet and finally remembers him and Emmet literally tackles him to the ground :D i will only allow happy endings on this blog
Im currently working on my mer!submas au, but Ill be working on this one aswell!
(Also sorry about the blue text. Tumblr wont let me see what im typing unless its colored)

If Erin is a winter baby it’d be the funniest thing for it to be a snowstorm at his birth and Ingo rushing in covered in snow with Emmet who is carrying their twin daughters (poly by the way)
after suffering through a speech I am taking my dad ingo writing rights and going wild.
cw: pregnancy, fluff, dad ingo, poly (ingo/reader, emmet/reader)
------
Ingo was normally a calm, reserved man. It was hard for him to lose his cool, and that was a skill that went cherished by him.
This went out the window in a situation like this, however.
Labour is a serious thing, he knew, and your due date was something fast approaching. Yet, everything happened so suddenly, while he was at work. Ingo was not the only one rushing from work, as there were currently two (monitored by a certain model friend of the family) who were very upset their parent just suddenly had to be rushed away.
Emmet was quick to thank her while scooping up the young girls. Inka cried loudly and struggled in his hold, while Emma just laid her head on his shoulder, passed out. Ingo would almost feel sorry for him if his mind was not currently concerned with everything happening. He had grabbed the baby bag you had been unable to get and felt his muscles tense as he considered everything. His younger twin clicked his tongue and stared at him. “We need to go,” Emmet spoke softly, mindful of the calmer of his twins, “Let's go.” Ingo snapped out of it then.
Rushing out of the apartment, leaving poor Elesa in charge of the home. She could only shake her head at the actions of the brothers but wished them luck.
~
The weather outside had become unfortunate. Unova was known for its winters, and it certainly was that they were in the middle of it. Ingo was in such a panic that he could barely feel the powdery ice chilling his body, but Emmet was still more mindful. They were trying to hail a cab, one of their least favourite modes of transport, as it was impossible for them to get to the hospital that fast on feet. The younger twin also refused to subject his toddlers to cold weather for too long. When one finally spotted them, Ingo had apparently decided it was taking too long and had run off. Emmet sighed.
Well, he still had kids to take care of, so he was taking the cab. Ingo could rush over on foot if he chose to. The cab driver could only give a strange look at the Subway Boss. Emmet tilted his head. “I need to get to this street,” he told him while holding out his phone with the destination up, “Pronto! I'm becoming an uncle.” The laugh that came from the driver was somewhere between terrible and serious, but he drove off in that direction.
~
Somehow, miraculously, they both managed to arrive at the same time. Ingo covered in a decent layer of snow and Emmet dealing with verrrry unhappy girls. Inka was crying about wanting her Joltik, and Emma was wanting to play princess. The poor receptionist could only stare at them. Ingo took his careful and precise, long strides over to her. He readjusted his cap, causing some snow to fall from it. “My partner,” he said your name, “Is here in labour.” They immediately went to look up your name.
Ingo made it just in time to be horrified once more by the miracle of life and have his hand nearly crushed. He was quite queasy but powered through in order to see someone he was completely eager to meet. The little boy in your arms letting out the saddest, loudest cries completely stole his heart. When he was finally able to hold him, he was in tears.
Emmet awkwardly interrupted with crying daughters, alas. Poor Inka was terrified of the strange flesh creature that was supposedly her younger brother, while Emma desperately wanted to hold him. Emmet stared at his crying older brother with a chuckle. He had been there. The younger twin sat down beside you and pecked a kiss to your cheek. You let out an exhausted sigh.
“... Ingo,” you finally called out to him, “Ingo, my love, why were you covered in snow.”
“I walked.”
“In this weather!?”

I'm sorry if this has been requested before, but submas with a s/o (either seperate or poly) who starts picking up their speech patterns unknowingly? saying things like "Bravo!" Making the very "veeeerrry" long , and so on?
Also this is the angst anon, if you don't mind - can I sign off my anon stuff with:
- angsty menace :)
I can finally let out my rage when I realized I started mirroring their speech patterns. also this is fine! You shall have your own anon tag if you stop by for chatting.
Asks are open
-
-
🔲Ingo🔲
- you truly honestly didn’t even notice.
- Ingo did almost instantly when you cheered over something your Pokémon did and you called out “Bravo!” While clapping.
- He assumed no, you weren’t mocking him or anything, maybe you were just saying that because is the situation?
- And then it kept happening, whenever you were excited you’d either say ‘Bravo!’ Or ‘super bravo!’
- YOU only noticed when it was date night and you two wanted to go out, so you knocked on the bathroom door to tell him you were ready but instead said “are you ready for our next stop?”
- It took you a few seconds.
- “Son of a BITCH.”
- “Dear it’s not that bad, I think it’s cute.”
- “‘DeAr It’S nOt ThAt BaD, i ThInK iT’s CuTe’ hush! Lies! Lies I say! I can’t believe I’m turning into you.”
- He finds your reaction quite funny.
- And honestly finds you mirroring him adorable.
- There is something about matching you in anyway that makes him melt.
- Ingo finds it terribly precious while you’re screaming about picking up his trainisms and speech.
- “This is your fault.”
- “I know dear.”
- “Like if you weren’t so cute this wouldn’t be happening.”
- He melts.
🔳Emmet🔳
- much like Ingo he picks up on it right away. Unlike his twin he actually says something cause as far as he knows, he is the only one in Nimbasa city with this specific speech pattern.
- Granted he elongates some words for emphasis and very just so happens to be the one that gets it the most.
- You had just been telling him a how spending time with your friends went when it first happens.
- “Which was fine by me cause that line was verrrrry long and I wasn’t about to-“
- “Wait wait wait, back up, what did you just say?”
- “What?”
- The fact you didn’t pick up on it made his grins turn more into a smug bastard smirk “nothing must’ve been my imagination, carry on.”
- And you do as he silently snickers to himself.
- He notes everytime you say it and it gets funnier every time cause you don’t even know!
- You too also pick up the trainisms, it’s hard not to when you live with a man who’s attached to your hip.
- He loves this so much.
- “And you’re verrrry cute!” You coo at one of the joltiks.
- “You’re starting to sound like me, darling, should I get you a matching outfit too?” He teased.
- “What do you mean? I sound nothing like you.”
- “What? You think I haven’t noticed you adopting my speech partner? Verrrry unlikely darling.”
- When he said it he saw the wheels turning in your head before you slammed a hand on the counter.
- “YOU KNEW AND DIDN’T TELL ME!?”
- “I thought you would’ve noticed by now!”
- “BAD EMMET, BANISHMENT! BANISHMENT I SAY!”
- “Awww you’re even adopting my jokes!”
- “TO THE COUCH WITH YOU!”
- “Wait no darling please-“

I'm sending in a request close to the end of the the time frame you set because I don't want you to rush to do this one. But as you may remember my cat has been missing for a couple of weeks now. I'm not ready to grieve for him yet so I'm trying not to think about it too much. However I assume by the time you get to this ask I might be ready to deal with it. So if it's alright with you, can I get some hcs for how Ingo, Emmet, Adaman and Laventon might help their s/o who has lost one of their pokemon?
~Honey 🐝
It’s been quite a bit of time since you sent this ask, and I wanna say I’m sorry that your cat is missing. I’m sure wherever he is, he misses you just as much as you miss him
🍓🍓🍓
Ingo:
You text him about it. As soon as Ingo reads the message, he tries calling you. Did something happen? How did your Pokémon escape? Do you think it’s near the station? He’ll issue a lookout for it. At the same time, he’s trying to assure you that everything will be alright. He hates it when you cry, always feeling like a failure when you do, so he does his best to make you feel better while also doing all he can to help you find your Pokémon
As the search continues without any leads, Ingo turns his attention from the search to you. He’s still very active in the lookout, don’t get it wrong, but he’s starting to suspect the conclusion of the search won’t turn out, so he tries to be there with you as often as he can. He tries to arrange it so there’s always someone with you, so you’re never alone long.
The day you end the search, he takes off work and lies with you in bed. The grief that wracks you also wracks him, as he loved your Pokémon as much as you did, but he tries to stay your rock. You’re heartbroken, and he needs to comfort you through this. It hurts, he knows it does, and it will for a long while. It may never stop hurting, but he will always, always be there for you. If ever you need him, he is here, and he is happy to comfort you
Emmet:
Emmet understands the fear and anxiety of losing a Pokémon, as his Joltiks tend to wander off. But this is different. Joltiks don’t tend to go far; your Pokémon is nowhere to be seen near your house, your work, or even the station. Still, Emmet continues his search tirelessly. You’ve always done the same for him with his Joltiks, so now it’s time to return the favor
He doesn’t let up on the search, even as the days pass. His determination to find your Pokémon gives you hope, and keeps you hoping for far longer than you would’ve on your own. Still, as fruitless days turn into agonizing nights, Emmet cradles you close in bed. He rubs your back and presses you close, holding you tight. He does his best to keep you grounded, to remind you that he’s here. He’s not leaving
The day you tell him that you’re ending the search, that you’ve accepted your Pokémon is gone for good, Emmet ditches work. He gets food, movies, games, anything he can think of, and tries to help you through the grief with distractions. He cuddles, tells you dumb stories, plays games with you, and encourages you to learn new recipes with him, anything to keep your mind occupied. But it doesn’t work forever, and when the tears come, he’s there holding you once again. He kisses away your tears, presses Joltiks into your hands, and promises you that you’ll never be alone
Adaman:
Adaman is a clan leader, and thus is capable of having both his warden and other Diamond Clan members searching for your lost Pokémon. Hisui is a dangerous place for person and Pokémon alike, so you’re understandably distressed. But Adaman keeps you updated, takes you with him as he himself goes searching for your lost companion. He and Leafeon tear through the region best he can, even imploring to Irida to keep an eye out in the icelands, which she happily does for you
Your anxiety about what must have happened is a never ending tide dragging you down beneath the waves, but Adaman is a rock in the storm. He stands tall and firm, assuring you that everyone is looking out for your Pokémon, and there will be news. They will find out what happened, and they will reunite you with your Pokémon. But Adaman learns the weight of such promises when the search finally comes to an end
You sob, angry and grieving. You’re mad about losing your friend, about the hopelessness that plagues you, about the promises Adaman made and couldn’t keep. You’re a mess, and Adaman doesn’t know how to comfort you. So he holds you against him, presses you under him, a firm grounding weight atop you. You hit him a little, as your anger bleeds away into sorrow, but he allows it. He knows better now, than to promise things outside of his control, and he is so sorry. But you’ll get through this pain, together you’ll rise above it. That he can promise
Laventon:
Laventon is just as devastated as you are to discover that your Pokémon has gone missing. He’s acutely aware of the dangers of Hisui, so he’s frantically sending out the word that your Pokémon has been lost. The Survey Corp has a special mission going on, to be on the look out for your Pokémon, and Laventon himself is out there looking with them. If you come too, he doesn’t release your hand, squeezing it reassuringly
Your his top priority. He constantly is bringing you things, tea and mochi and even curry he made himself, just to make sure you’re taking care of yourself. He holds you close at night, warding off nightmares of what might have happened. He presses kisses to your cheeks and promises you that your companion no doubt misses you just as much as you miss it
When things come to an end, Laventon doesn’t leave your side. He keeps you with him, however he can. He stays back from missions, staying in the village with you so he can make sure you’re as okay as you can be. He keeps you with him in the office, letting you rest on his couch or in his lap as he works, rambling away to help your mind stop from hyperfixating on your lost friend. Tell him what you need, he’ll fetch it in a moment. He just wants you to be alright
🍓🍓🍓
I hope this helps even a little bit. I really am sorry about your cat.
Have a great Christmas, love
~Renee

Borrower meets Submas AU? Let’s goooooo!
What if-
What if like...
Akari is a borrower, right? And so is the rest of Jubilife village.
But Instead of living in ancient Hisui, they live hidden in Gear Station.
She and Rei are orphans (maybe twins, too?) and because they had no one to look after them they were brought to the... whatever the Galaxy team is renamed as because it's already a thing in the future. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
They're being trained join the survey corps, who's job it is to go out and secretly observe and record data on the humans and pokemon who are employed in the battle subway. (wait, does that mean that they need to fill out their humidex? (╯▽╰ ;)  )
Fortunately, the station works on a tight schedule. The Subway masters see to that. But it's important to know if there will be any changes, or if anyone has noticed something awry, vis a vis tiny people running around.
Data is recorded in their log books and then reported back to headquarters. Then timetables and precautions are written up and given to the supply corps, who are the ones who do the actual borrowing for the community.
So one day, Rei and Akari are doing their job. It’s early in their career, but they’ve already been on one or two solo missions. They have met up after their shifts and are heading back to Jubilife together.
It's late at night, so the station is quiet. Contrary to the general human experience, midnight and onward is the safest time for any borrower to be out in the subway proper. At first they're keeping their voices down as they catch up on the days events. But there's something about being out late with a close friend in a vaguely spooky place that really brings out the giggles in a kid. (Especially if they’re tired).
The two end up goofing around. Maybe mimicking behavior they've observed from the Subway Bosses. Using train metaphors and striking poses and such. Even though Akari and Rei aren’t assigned to them personally (Akari watches the gift counter and Rei checks on the office staff) it’s hard to miss the two most intimidating humans in the whole station. They have presence.
What the tiny siblings don't realize while they play around, is that there is a curious Joltik nearby. It recognizes the tones and behavior of the two nice humans being shown by these (much more sensibly sized) creatures, and it comes over to make friends! Maybe they will give it a battery!
Unfortunately, borrowers in this Jubilife village are just as terrified of pokemon as the people in PLA, so Rei and Akari assume it's going to attack them and freak out!
They start running for their lives, pursued by a (comparatively) giant bug type with a poor grasp of social cues.
Meanwhile, Ingo and Emmet have finished work for the day and are ready to head home for a well earned rest. But their trains are derailed when they hear the sound of children screaming.
It's shocking, full of fear and desperation. With no more than a quick glance, they rush off to help whoever is in distress.
The human twins are brought up short when they find two tiny children cornered by a joltik.
Normally these pokemon were quite small and harmless, but at their size, it must have seemed like a monster! There also seems to have been something of an unfortunate accident.
The small boy is laying on the ground, seemingly paralyzed by an electric jolt. The girl is kneeling by his side, begging him to move, to be okay.
The joltik is awfully sorry. It didn't mean to shock anyone. It just got carried away. But every time it tries to approach, the small girl yells at it to stay away.
This whole scene throws Ingo and Emmet for a loop, but soon their own training comes to their aid, and the two subway bosses take charge of the situation.
Emmet comforts and distracts the distressed Joltik while Ingo performs a safety check on the two young ones.
The girl is shaking violently. Heaving gasps of air that never seem to be enough to fill her lungs. The boy is completely out of it. Neither of them are in any condition to be left on their own.
Ingo and Emmet can't get any information out of the girl about where she came from (you don't tell humans that kind of thing!) and so having few options left they end up bringing the children home with them. (After all, Emmet is well supplied with paralyze heals)
At first the kids are out of their minds with panic, but eventually they come to realize that the two humans, while looking quite scary, are actually very kind. Funny too.
I have more, but I have to go now. I'll also add a read more once I have a chance to get on my desktop.

So like, Imagine.
Emmet is ranting to the substitute hero.
"Honestly, Months of scheming all for some Nobody to waltz through the door."
"Wow harsh."
"Ah well, even with your sub optimal brain activity you'll make a verrry good meal for my Joltiks."
"Wa-wait a minute I didn't Ask to cock block you. Ya know! I've got my own nemesis who's probably really confused why (Reader Hero Name) is crashing our work date instead of me...crashing my own work date. You get the idea!"
"I am Emmet and I am confused. You did not Choose this assignment?"
"Nope, I'm supposed to be down town watching a terribly adapted book flick. I mean, stopping my nemesis from destroying a movie theater...playing the terribly adapted book flick. We'd throw some one liners, throw some debris, Accidentally destroy those awful movie files in the process. Then sit in the wreckage and eat some popcorn together."
"But instead I'm Here being insulted by, you, because one of our company supervisor's doesn't believe Hero Nemesis relationships should be encouraged. So neither of us is having a good day."
"I see...and what is the Name of this supervisor?"
"..."
A few minutes later after the Substitute hero is untied.
"Okay so this is the Supervisor's name and image on the company website. Asshole doesn't even set Foot in the office half the time. Just constantly telling us 'lowly workers' where to go otherwise we get our asses chewed. Last week he said if he catches us taking 'too long with our villian interactions' we could suffer a pay dock. Can you believe that shit?"
"How awful." Ingo agrees as he buzzes around readying their transport.
"Verrry unprofessional. But please continue." Emmet prompts taking notes.
"Oh that's the Tip of the iceberg, there's also a gag order on heroes communicating with their nemesis on the clock otherwise it's Major disciplinary action. Like how does that make sense!? How are heroes supposed to go Meet their villains in battle if we can't communicate!? Also his car looks like this...and..."
Meanwhile at the Movie Theater. The Hero Reader is consoling the Substitute Hero's Villan.
"Like, we planned this date for Months. I know Pookie said work was really cracking down, but I never expected they'd pull This!" CRASH! "IT'S SO NOT FAAAAAAAIR!"
You patted the now monstrous form of the villain on the shoulder as they sobbed. Slow day at the movie theater meant minimum evacuations and without your own villains your heart really wasn't in it for battle.
"There there, I know the feeling you're going through. My day as a hero just isn't complete until I've heard my villains' monolog at least once."
"WELL WAIT NO LONGER MY DARRRLING!"
The hero reader swivels to see the twins and the substitute hero standing in the entrance to the movie theater with snacks from the concession stand.
"Boys!?"
"POOKIE!!!"
"Hi babe! OOF!" You were too stunned to laugh as your coworker was engulfed in a twirling hug by their nemesis. "I'm So sorry babe. I wanted to tell you what happened but-"
"Shh," The other villian assured, now back in their more humanoid appearance. "I know you didn't mean to hurt my feelings Pookie, I'm just happy you found a way to be here."
"Well, I can't take full credit for that idea." You coworker gestured to your own villains. "Now, let's go tear that movie to shreds!"
"YEEEES!"
The two ran further into the complex with a STOMP STOMP STOMP STOMP to find the flick that had apparently offended them so.
You were still a little bewildered but smiled after them. Two peas in a pod it seemed.
"What's on your mind, dearest?" Emmet cooed, draping his arms over your shoulders and pressing his lips to your temple.
You leaned into the warmth. "That was a sweet thing you two did." You commented. "Giving up your own plan so those two could have their date I mean."
"Technically it was a mutual exchange." Ingo supplied coming to your side and taking your hand so he could bring it to his lips for a kiss.
"Indeed, coming here led us to you. We would not have done so otherwise." Emmet assured, with almost complete confidence.
"True, but you could've goaded my coworkers villian into coming to You. But instead you did the opposite." You felt Emmet tense. "Gotcha, you big softie."
"I am Emmet and I am Not Soft."
"Okay but you are though."
"I am Not!"
"Are."
"NOT!"
"Are~"
"No-Mmph! Mmm...mmm..." His protest was cut off by him melting into your affection.
You smiled against Emmet's lips as you broke the kiss. Then you whispered "are~"
Emmet blushed and grumbled, but didn't release you from the hold he had on your back. Ingo even let out a small chuckle before taking his turn for some of your affection.
"Mmm," Ingo's lips parted from yours only briefly before he went back for more. You'd all missed this.
"But don't worry. That's why I adore you both so much. My nemeses." You cooed happily. "Now Ingo could you step back a moment dear?"
"Hm? Of course." He did so. "But may I ask wh-?"
You wrapped your arms around one of Emmet's and fuckin TOSSED his ass, (but landed him gently) over your shoulder onto the movie theater carpet.
He was stunned for a moment, before a huge grin broke across his face even as he lay flat out on the floor. "You are going to regret that Hero!"
You felt warmth pool in your cheeks and body. "We'll just have to see about that. Villians!" You hopped back, feeling your power course through your veins as your twins readied their offense.
"En garde Boys!
And so on that day a new loophole was discovered regarding heroes and nemesi double dates, the public loves a good collaboration after all.
Well, there was One person who wasn't thrilled about the outcome. But as one person might say "They had barely enough brain activity to satisfy a Joltik, so who cares what they think?"
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Can you imagine a giant monster of a villain just sitting in a tiny seat being consulted by the hero and the just hand them a small tissue. The huge monster thanks them politely and takes the tiny tissue with their sharp claws.
Also thank you so much for this Beaker! this describes exactly the kind of tone this Au would have.
Also also, I would like to imagine the Board is confused and very concerned when all of their Heroes just started banging their villains, and they don't know what to do. Obviously, they couldn't fire all their workers, so they basically just said no work PDA...lol.
Emmet had "no talk, me angry" energy and I love it.

so! When does Emmet try to copy Ingo and join the Sneaslet pit of doom? And get horribly poisoned by baby claws?
Not intentionally at first!
Emmet has the rational adverse reaction to the idea of cuddling a half dozen extremely poisonous fluffy babies. Like he would still happily cuddle them one at a time, so that he can make sure thier claws don’t scratch his skin. But,you see, this method of handling the babies only last as long as they can’t start running around and climbing on their own.
And well, Ingo and Emmet are identical twins. A baby is gonna see the human who looks just like the one that loves to play and be their personal jungle gym, and not stop to check if this is actually their other human who cuddles and snuggles them one at a time during snack and nap time.
After the third baby ambush Emmet starts eating pecha berries at every meal to try and help his body build up the immunity. Ingo is both very sorry but also can’t stop laughing. He’s now remembering the constant electric shocks he’d suffer though with ever newly hatched clutch of Joltiks.
Soon enough Emmet slowly builds up enough of an immunity to join Ingo the the Toxic Death Pit of Sneaslets.
Sneasler is so proud 💜

Outside of Elliot, is there anyone who's willing to be friends with the twins? Does Gus count? I am curious about their individual relationships. Sorry if this question has been asked before!
You're good! I don't think this has been talked about before, if we did, it would've been really early in development.
There are a few villagers who decided to be friends with Ingo and Emmet despite them having Pokémon and some differences about them.
Elliott is of course one of their new friends here in the valley. Being newcomers to the area - they of course got to stick together - Elliott is actually one of the only villagers (besides Robin who seems responsible with making sure every new person is moved in and settled) who wanted to introduce themselves to them. He just never really had the courage or the even the right time to do so! His first actual meeting is Emmet's 2 heart event - and well, you saw how that happened.
Through Elliott though, Leah has come around to befriending the twins. Sure she finds them odd at times and Pokémon are weird but they're a delight to get to know. Also... she hates how Pierre and possibly some of the other villagers been treating them.
Since she's friends with Elliott, I imagine she has a strong sense of justice and solidarity when it comes to the outcasted newcomers.
Toxic or bullying relationships - she hates them (with obvious reasons... if you perused her as a bachelorette). So it makes sense that after seeing Ingo's 2 heart event she would make every effort to be their friend and maybe talk some sense into people before they open their mouths.
Gus is pretty supportive - I mean, he's the bartender of the town, and the guy practically gets along with everyone. He meets interesting people everyday (or regulars). So having the bar being more lively, or even having the station be opened means he can potentially get more business. Plus he enjoys learning new things! Though I wouldn't say he's a friend, just a friendly acquaintance.
Some other characters we have planned to be their friend is Maru, Abigail, and Sam.
Abigail and Sam just because they can at least relate to the twins on some level. Mostly Ingo since Abigail is interested in ghosts and Sam has older brother solidarity with him. Though Maru is strongly going to be above them since well, she is actually interested in learning about Pokémon. Unlike Sebastian who wants nothing to do with them...
Maru's a science nerd! Submas have quite a few pokemon that would spark her interest, but we imagine her to adore Klinklang especially because of her background in robotics.
Demetrius is a tricky one... He wouldn't quite be friends with them since he disapproves of Pokemon because he's both cautious of their impact on the ecosystem as a biologist (Pokemon were eradicated from the region for a reason... Emmet's Joltiks pose a threat even in Unova) and worry about setting Maru on the wrong track (as her interest might evolve into her becoming a Pokemon professor instead of an engineer).
Even still, Demetrius and Ingo have a mutual respect for each other and would call each other aquaintences. I imagine them often taking turns infodumping to each other when Ingo's at the park working on passenger relations. Ingo loves to learn more about the various biological wonders of the valley but the second he veers into an infodump about Pokemon and how adept at defeating their foes they are in battle then Demetrius just goes 😐. They're fine when it comes to infodumping about trains though. While Ingo is fine, he wouldn't really like Emmet all that much.
A lot of the other villagers are either just friendly in a - neighbor way - or they just outright stay away from them. Or they have a working relationship. Like Lewis.
They have to be friendly with Lewis. The guy is practically covering them. Even still, they both try to keep their distance. Lewis doesn't want to work more than he should and submas don't want to get nagged.
Haley and Emily are also aquaintences with them, but they're more like Elesa's friends. They didn't really interact much until Elesa came around. Emily would have been closer to them since she's just friendly and they called upon her assistance with textiles a few times. Haley wouldn't be much other than just "Emily's sister" until Elesa mentions her being a blunt younger sibling with an interest in photography much like certain conducter she knows.
Emmet and Haley wouldn't quite be friends despite the photography solidarity since they just don't click otherwise. I imagine them going 🤨 at each other whenever Elesa calls a group meetup and says something about how similar they are. They're verrrrrry different. Too different.
Though there are 3 villagers who are instantly friends or friendly with them. Granny Evelyn, Vincent and Jas.
Granny Evelyn practically adores the twins. I mean, she's actually seeing Pokémon again in goodness knows how long! Plus she's Granny! Everyone loves Granny!
Vincent and Jas practically bug the twins... (Poor Ingo and Emmet) They are curious. The train station is being rebuilt and there are strange creatures that all their parents or guardians say to stay away from.
Penny, Jodi, Shane... Do not like Pokémon. They say they are dangerous and triy to keep the children safe. Kent doesn't like them either.
Now with Willy on the other hand. I actually have some things planned with him as well - I've come to think that the guy knew the station master prior to the twins taking over the rails.
So in a way - Willy is going to be looking out for them. Either giving them advice on how some things are ran within the valley or maybe just looking out for when trouble arises.
The old station master has a story that has been rattling around in my head that I don't want to spoil or share quite yet.....

I have no idea when The Future Will be Special, the Past Was Not -- the companion fic for Welcome to Sinnoh's Temple -- will be out, and I know that it will certainly be a while, but in the meantime, I thought y'all might enjoy a little snippet of one of the chapters.
Wording is subject to change, and honestly, the fic will need a lot of redoing -- I'm thinking of basically reworking everything I've written for it, unfortunately -- so this little bit might get axed, but whether or not it does, I like this bit a lot and wanted to share it.
No content warnings, just a lot of Joltik.
Read below the cut:
----------
It was well-known that Gear Station was home to numerous Joltik.
There didn't used to be quite so many -- a few here and there, nibbling on outlets and wires and congregating on the third rail to feed only to scurry off when the tracks rumbled with the warning vibrations of an incoming train – but for reasons that were largely unknown, quite a colony had set up around certain platforms and offices.
The little Joltik slept in a pile of fuzz and fluff as the morning marched on towards noon. One of the little bugs woke up and squeaked at the time, waking up all the other fuzzy Electric-types.
Unanimously, they skittered out of their hiding place on the underside of a bench, leaving a web of string behind, and peeked out around the platform
There! There was the nice human! The one who always had batteries!
They pattered over to the human as a unit, one mass of yellow and blue moving like an amoeba across the tiles. The platform had been so busy until recently! The last couple of days had seen lots of unfamiliar humans in blue bustling around the tunnel, and the tiny Joltik had had to go elsewhere for food because no trains were running along this line. They hadn’t seen their human, either.
But there he was! The little Joltik squeaked and chittered as they gathered around his feet, a few brave ones launching themselves at his knees to cling to his pants.
He twitched, as if snapping out of a daze, and looked down at them.
... Oh, this was the other human.
Their human and his frowning double looked so alike, it was hard to tell which was which unless the Joltik could hear them or see their faces.
Their human’s brother’s face softened at the sight of them, and he carefully shifted to crouch down closer to them.
“You must be Emmet’s,” he said, voice hoarse. Was he okay? He didn’t sound okay. “I’m sorry, he’s… not here today.”
They chirped. One hopped up onto his knee and squeaked, little claws waving about.
“I don’t know when he’ll be back.” Gently, the human lifted the tiny Joltik and set it back down with its colony, scratching behind its head with a white-gloved fingertip.
Their human had done the same. All the time.
What did this one mean? He didn’t know when his hatchmate would be back? Was his hatchmate, their human, sick?
The human turned and fumbled with his little bag, clipped to his belt beside his Pokemon.
“I don’t have any batteries,” he said, “but here.” He pulled out a handful of berries and held them out to the squad of Joltik.
They squeaked. Batteries were the best, but berries were also good. Sweet and juicy! The Joltik grabbed the berries and chirped their little thanks as the human stood back up.
“This line is running again,” he said, adjusting his hat by the brim. Such funny things the humans wore. The Joltik wondered if he kept any other Joltik underneath it, like their human did. “Do be careful on the tracks.”
They squeaked again and scurried back to their hiding places with their treats.
The Joltik hoped that their favorite human would come back soon. He was verrrry nice! His brother was, too, but they missed their human very much already.

Been wracking my brain for a while how the submas would react when they see their apprentice’s arms poofed after being spooked on accident the first time, but would be funny for Emmet sees them as freebie fan if their fan break down on a hot day and a babysitter for the joltiks during the cold days (with Ingo face palming in the back)!
Also, accidentally made one of my aus contain a time paradox by meeting Ingo in Hisui for the first time and helped him recover most of his memories!
Ingo does return home, but slightly disappointed he doesn’t see the apprentice again until several years later from an incident and visit her in a hospital, but was hurt that she said that she have never met him until now and never worked in Gear Station.
He eventually figured out what’s going on and realized the one he met was from a different point in time! He wants to make sure the timeline does happen by helping her recover and gave her a position in the station in hopes that she’ll gain the memories of them meeting up.
I’m sorry for info dumping about my au, I just really like thinking about it and the grammar issues (phone not fun to use to chat on tumblr)
-Bird Anon
Emmet would though try and take advantage, so long as you allow it. You can cool him down or babysit his joltiks? Well he certainly isn’t going to tell you no.
Ingo probably smacks him once or twice about it.
The au is Interesting 👀👀 Thats funny, a time paradox in order to help Ingo, that’s pretty interesting!
It has angst and comfort potential, and the idea that even if you haven’t met him yet in his current time, you grow close enough to desire to help him in the past is very sweet 🥺

Asking about your aus. Laying on my stomach with my face in my hands and kicking my feet in the air
HELLO HI BRAVO I AM LAYING ON MY STOMACH AND KICKING MY FEET IN THE AIR AND HOLDING MY NOTEBOOK TO READ OUT THE NOTES TO YOU
(i had this saved as a draft and. then forgot about it. i am so sorry)
Okay so I've already rambled about the Zoroakari AU so I'm gonna tell you about the Hybrid Ingo+Emmet AU i made with my brother
So thanks to Rift Shenanigans™, Ingo comes back from Hisui a Sneasler hybrid and Emmet a Joltik hybrid(if you want to hear about the Warden Emmet/Lady Zoroakari AU that somehow keeps tying in to everything then I will gladly direct you to the Ao3 collection), Emmet's transformation is horrific and involves two arms ripping out of his sides a la wingfic and his Pokemon had to move fucking FAST to ensure he did not die
Ingo's transformation is much less so, he gets Sneasler ears and a feather and a lot of fluff
Emmet had to stay in the hospital for a while, rightfully so because a shit ton of his ribs were broken and his body had to rearrange itself and learn how to body again, Lemon(his Galvantula) has not left his side since his transformation and considers him her baby now, much like his entire Joltik swarm, but after he got out of the hospital life mostly goes back to normal! He has two smaller eyes above his normal eyes that see heat instead of things, and sometimes he uses those and closes his main eyes if he's overstimulated, and his second set of arms is covered in blue chitin and Joltik fuzz from the shoulder to the wrist
Both the twins have instincts, Emmet falls into his more often since he's unevolved and the Baby Pokemon Instincts™ take over quite a lot in an attempt to keep him safe, stay with mom, stay away from the danger types, the big Pokemon, don't get crushed- Half of those instincts do also apply to his team, meaning Pokemon like Luxa(Chandelure) and Eyrie(Archeops) now terrify him and he can't touch them easily
Ingo, on the other hand, has a much easier time separating his Pokemon half from his human half, and integrates his instincts when they do him good, especially with Lady Sneasler and her kits because she came with him when he came home(after appointing an heir ofc), however, on full moons he become a full Sneasler, it's a whole werewolf deal yknow
He goes feral for a night
First time it happened, Lady Sneasler was hostile the moment she saw him, but he was giving off a whole bunch of scared and confused vibes so she examined him a little more and realized "Hey wait, this is my Warden, what??" And started treating him like a Sneasel who evolved too early, babying him a little yk, helping him get used to his new body
(he's smaller than her only by a few inches but it's noticeable)
For a few months Emmet thought their house was fucking haunted on full moons because Wereingo is just a massive cat and if you've ever owned/worked with a cat, you'd understand
Then after some time, he ran into Wereingo entirely on accident and just had a "wait. What" moment because this fuckin thing is wearing his brother's hat and acting super affectionate towards him and Lady Sneasler doesn't seem worried?? So???? Anyway, that night ends with Emmet falling asleep being cuddled to death in Ingo's nest, verrrry confused, but shit gets explained/figured out in the morning
I say "figured out" because Ingo doesn't quite remember what happens when he turns, but the good news is he's not all that hostile! Only if he's attacked/threatened first <<<<<3
For a while, Akari(usually Zoroakari in my thoughts) is in Sinnoh with her family, so Wereingo goes through quite a few nights just searching through the house for her and getting increasingly distressed when he can't find his kit. So when she finally comes to stay with her uncles in Unova, a full moon comes around and suddenly she's being coddled and groomed by a fuckin Sneasler that she only vaguely recognizes, mostly through mannerisms and scent. She's reasonably alarmed at this until Emmet, tired as shit, just goes "yeah he does this every month. no yeah it just happens. can't really control it, just hope for the best. i'm going back to bed" And Doesn't Elaborate until next morning when Ingo is human-ish again and he's gotten sleep
NOW IT'S TIME FOR MORE JOLTEMMET STUFF!!! We all know he's currently unevolved, but when he does evolve he ends up as like a galvantula centaur thing and it's a little horrifying and a lot less easily hidden because That's The Entire Lower Half Of His Body, and I have a vague dot-to-dot scenario of how he evolves, because I think he'd actually be a little scared of it happening because he likes feeling small and safe with his family and he's lowkey scared that if he evolves, he won't be allowed to do that anymore which is a dumb fear bc ingo loves him a lot and would never deny him but emmet is forever afraid that he will be left again and just keeps an Everstone on him, tucked into his hat or pocket or something, to stop it from happening, but lemme grab that bullet-point list of how he evolves
- Big battle, like against an evil team or something
- Ingo starts getting overwhelmed
- Emmet jumps in to protect him
- Emmet's hat gets knocked off, and the Everstone with it
- Emmet defeats one enemy, more enemies come up, the stress and need to protect his family kicks off his evolution
- EMMET GALVANTULA CENTAUR TIME MF-ERS
Emmet goes fucking feral in defense of Ingo while Ingo recovers and its actually kinda scary- People run from the sudden monster that is the Doubles Line Subway Boss and as soon as Emmet is sure they won't come for Ingo again, he turns back to his brother, wild blue eyes sparking with rage and mandibles clicking, fuzz bristling up in hostility, and he starts approaching and Ingo's instinct, despite most of him going "woahhhh cool brother fighting moments :0", is to try and get away and defend from harm because Emmet is Very Clearly On The Offensive
Ingo, feather and ear pinned back in fear, slowly crawls back away from the hybrid in front of him. He knows it is Emmet, he knows very well. But everything in him is telling him to run, escape from the danger! But he can't. It's his brother, but Ingo can't tell if Emmet can still recognize him. His claws digging into the ground beside him, he watches in terror as Emmet comes towards him. He wants to talk to his brother, but when he opens his mouth nothing comes out.
Emmet bends down cause he's suddenly a lot taller than he thought he was, and starts quietly examining Ingo for any sort of injury, making a little chitter here and there but giving no indication he knows its Ingo, and not just something of his hoard he was meant to protect. It's hard to tell if someone, human or Pokemon, is still the same after evolution. If they still have the same mind, the same memories. Ingo keeps hissing on instinct and immediately shutting it down. He doesn't want to provoke Emmet, if that can happen, and he certainly doesn't want to find out if his brother will attack him.
His hair is frizzing up. Emmet is giving off more static electricity than he ever did before, even after a big meal of Gear Station's power generators. Emmet lifts Ingo's hat and starts combing through his hair, and it feels just like when Lemon does it, but larger. Emmet is too large now. Ingo has to dig his hands into the ground to stop from lashing out at him when he noses around the feather. But eventually, Emmet nods, and sets the hat back down. He leans down to look Ingo in the face for the first time. There are too many eyes. He's not smiling. It's neutral, which is alarming for Emmet, and is this even Emmet anymore? Ingo is scooped up into four arms and carries away from the danger. Everyone is too scared of the unnatural creature holding him to approach. Ingo catches Elesa's eye on the way. She's pale, and frightened.
There isn't any pause until the two of them are back at their house. Emmet doesn't stop at the living room, nor does he deliver Ingo to the bedroom decorated in black. Instead, they go to Emmet's room. Usually, Emmet comes from here to go find Ingo, but today he's bringing his older twin into the nest perpetually scattered with Joltik. He sets Ingo down and sorts it all out, and then pulls him into a cuddle.
Ingo isn't sure how to feel about this. His brother hasn't said a word, but that's normal when he doesn't have a script ready. He's not sure if his brother is still there, or if he's dealing with a wild Pokemon. He wouldn't know how evolution feels, he became a hybrid already fully evolved. But he can try and help Emmet, at least. That's all any of them can do at this point.
ANYWAY I THINK THAT'S A GOOD ENOUGH POINT TO LEAVE OFF FOR NOW <<<<<333 IF YOU WANT MORE INFO ON LITERALLY ANY OF MY AUS I AM WAITING HERE EAGERLY AND KICKING MY FEET IN THE AIR AND GIGGLING UNCONTROLLABLY

I thought of something mean but also deserved, lol
S/o somehow managing to pull a fast one on YanEmmet when his gaurd is down and cuffs him to something with his own handcuffs , and does not waste time trying to find a way out, while ignoring Emmet's pleading. (Hopefully they find a way out before Ingo returns from work)
lmao his worst nightmare…
Loud clanking rung in the open air as Emmet struggled against the cuffs that had left you captive for so long. His smile had fallen in a frown just like his older brother's, while his brows furrowed together. He was stripped down to nothing but Joltik printed boxers. Sex was likely the only moment of weakness that Emmet had, thinking with his dick over his head. It paid off for you in the end, at least. You panted as the struggle to land him in said position was no easy feat.
"Darling, this isn't funny. Unlock me now," his tone took a commanding one as his glowing eyes landed on you, "If you act fast, I won't punish you." It was tempting to listen to him, having grown afraid of your punishments. Often times they left you fucked out of your mind and unable to think properly. Otherwise, you were left alone without human contact for days until you broke down and begged for Emmet to lay his affection down upon you. You resisted. Freedom called to you. This hellish existence forced upon you by the younger Subway Boss was enough to make you crave anything other than being chained to that bed ever again.
You turned away from him and opened the bedroom door. A hissing Joltik bit at your ankle. Picking the yellow arachnid up, you dropped them on the dresser. The apartment was quite a nice, modern one. It had three bedrooms, one of which was currently being used as an office. Emmet cooed about how he wished to change that often, a hand pressed against your lower stomach. Of course, that was to come after you stopped 'being mean'. It distressed you how he shifted between completely delusional and lucid about the entire situation.
Sometimes you were his perfect partner who he loved so, so much. These moments were filled with endless affection and praises. His arms wrapped around you as he pulled you into his lap. Gentle kisses were pecked all over your face as he gushed about what a wonderful lover you were. Whenever you dared reject his advances and deny your 'relationship', his mood turned into something darker. His eyes would shoot wide before they became lidded. The friendly smile opens into something darker. He would tsk his tongue before reminding you that he loves you very, 'verrrrry' much. His touches go from loving and tender to something erotic and hot.
You shook your head. Loud sobs echoed from the bedroom as you wandered the apartment. The windows were locked tightly, and the front door was kept shut with a keypad. You panicked. That code was needed to escape. If Ingo came home and saw you free while his brother screamed for you to free him, surely there was no chance for any form of escape to follow. "Darling! Please! I love you!" he cried as the clanging grew loud in his struggles, "I won't punish you at all! I'm sorry, honey! Unlock me!" Your breath got caught in your throat. The keypad could be brute forced. Theoretically, Ingo might not get notifications. He had no reason to.
Quickly, your fingers began pressing random patterns of numbers in the desperate hope that one might be the precious code for your freedom. Emmet's continued weeps and struggles echoed throughout the apartment. Until, well, they stopped. It grew dead silent. Not even the sound of his quiet whimpers were heard.
The bedroom door opened.
Emmet peered out to you, hands free of the cuffs. A Joltik sat eerily on his shoulder. "Aw, game's over. I won," he teased, walking towards your shaking body carefully, "Ingo knows. He's rushing over alongside Elesa. Darling, you know better." A strong hand grabs your shoulder as he forces your arm behind you. The other soon joins it, and the cuffs warmth seeps into your wrists. "I am going to wreck you," his voice whispers into your ear, hot breath fanning across the flesh, "Then, you'll be so cute and submissive. You always are."
