(( Here's a bit of trivia about Charade's type changes!

For those who don't know, Meowscarada's flower when in bloom bears resemblance to a pomegranate, which you can read more about on Bulbapedia. The meaning behind the flower in the base design is what inspired me to have her flower change based on her type!

As a Water-type, her flower is based on a white water lily. The bulb is replaced by a lily pad. The idea to change her cape (for all forms, but especially this one) was inspired by these Meowscarada variants by mykocalico!

As a Fairy-type, her flower is based on a pink shrub rose. While I can't find an exact name for the species, these roses are called "The Fairy" by some gardeners (it's also a plant in Stardew Valley). I think the design for the bulb was based on a generic flower bulb, but I can't remember (I'll update this post if I figure it out)!

As a Dark-type, her flower is based on the genus datura, one of several plants commonly known as moonflowers. Not only does this beautiful flower bloom at night, but their poisonous properties have led them to be commonly associated with witchcraft! The bulb is based on the datura's seed pod.

If Charade becomes a pure Grass-type through her ability, her appearance is the same as her default. (Don't fix what ain't broke, right?)

I've always loved the idea of weird type changes, like with Delta species and Tera types, so I'm glad I get to play around with it in a milder form! Then there are, of course, the Hidden Types of this blog... Maybe some day I'll come up with more hypothetical Protean type changes for moves like Thunder Punch or Triple Axel. ))

Would you guys consider putting a damper on how many confessions that trash baldurs gate 3 you post? Because I've noticed an increase to the point where you have multiple confessions saying basically the same thing back to back and it's starting to feel like it's not constructive criticism but just trying to make people feel bad for enjoying something that isn't "superior" like dragon age.

First its only one person doing the blog. :)

I am trying to limit them as much as I can but I want to be fair as well because I am getting about 20 submissions a week from some very unhappy people.

I've also deleted (and blocked)a few people saying they wish the fans had the same power back during the early days of Inquisition because characters like Vivienne would be "rewritten or diminished" and most of us know what that means. And I'm going to be a bit blunt....it was a bit disturbing to see the word "power" used.

Now I have BG3 but I'm just at the very beginning as my time is limited but my brother has played it all the way through once and he describes his experience as a Love- bitter resentment thing. There were moments he loved it but near the end some things really pissed him off. And he advised me to stay away from the fandom and just play it when I do have more time to focus on it.

There aren't any other confessions in the queue and there won't be for awhile.

And if I continue to get racist posts regarding Vivienne I will continue to delete and block as my brother explained the situation with the Wyll character to me and why it connects to recent uptick in racist posts about Vivienne. I'm getting some seriously horrible confessions about Vivienne and I'm not going to tolerate it.

Also to answer your curiosity Theo, or Theodore, was once a child that befriended the prototype, however he would be electrocuted by a locked door during and escape attempt and would be turned into Catnap. I'm afraid that's all the information I have about the subject (Also sorry about the mental linking minis from before, I didn't realize they broke the rules XD)

Look guys.

I love Bubble. I love her more than anything. Making this blog helped get me out of a really dark place. I'm still not fully out. But I'm better. I'm working on it.

I made this blog in November because of two people, @jaxfromthatcircus and @ask-caine-blog. I never had a tumblr before them. I never had discord. I was pretty lonely.

Times change. I love everything we've done together. Without you guys, I don't know if I'd be here. But in light of recent events, Bubble isn't important anymore. She will always be close to my heart, but without her husband she's not really relevant. I can accept that. I made a character that can't stand on her own, and I'm living with the consequences.

I don't know if I can handle deleting her. She's such a visceral part of me, and I have severe abandonment issues. She might just stay here, never fully gone but never fully active. I don't know.

All I know is that I love you all, and I love her. Don't forget about her. She would never forget you.

Train fact: the longest* train ever

like all things to do with railways, you can get pretty granular and pedantic with this one, so this is likely to also be the longest post ever. Sorry, but actual facts (and pretty pictures) under the cut!

The longest passenger train in regular service is Australia's 'Ghan, a luxury tourist train that runs between Adelaide and Darwin, and averages 774 m/2,539ft in length. that's twice as long as the Empire State building is tall.

The reason I say "in regular service" is because the longest passenger train EVER was run by the Rhaetian Railway in Switzerland, to celebrate 175 years of Swiss railways, and that was more than twice that long at 1,910m/6266.4ft. Almost an entire Kentucky Derby worth of train! It had to go incredibly slowly, maxing out at 35km/h, to avoid overloading the electric systems of the railway and local power grids.

But, the thing with passenger trains is that they have a lot of rules and regulations applied to them that freight doesn't have to follow. So freight trains get HYUGE.

The average American freight train (I consider the USA to be freight trains' natural habitat because there is a whole bunch of wide open space for for them to crawl around) is 5400 feet long, and the standard in Europe is around 3000ft. That's a 10-20 minute walk at average adult walking speed, just to go from end to end. You know when you stop at a level crossing, and a train goes by, and it seems like it's going by forever? That was probably one of these.

But the average frieght train is peanuts to mining trains. Trains came from the mines, and they still dominate there. The biggest trains in the world are consists of ore and coal, run by tiny crews from extraction point to export. This has always been true.

For example, the Datong–Qinhuangdao railway in China runs coal trains daily that are 2.614 km/8576 ft long. That's more than 1.5 miles, or three times as long as the burj khalifa is tall. And that's the standard for that line.

But that doesn't break any records.

The longest production train, running regularly, is the Sishen–Saldanha railway line's maganese/iron ore train. These trains are four kilometers long. 4,000 meters, almost half the height of the highest peak on earth, in wagons full of metals. Too long to be seen in a single photograph- the one below was stitched together from four separate pictures, taken from the air:

and that's still not the record!

The record for longest frieght train is held by BHP, an Australian mining company. It was made for the record, but the capacity is still there. This train ran on june 21st 2011, and was 682 wagons long, over seven kilometers. Almost twice the length of the Sishen–Saldanha's, and a quarter the height of Olympus mons. If you stood this train on its end, it would be taller than Mt Denali. If you started at the front of the lead locomotive, and ran as fast as you physically could, you wouldn't reach the last wagon for an hour.

There are entire branch lines shorter than this train.

Unfortunately, there are no good photos, because nobody in space had time for railfanning that day, but there are plenty of pictures of other BHP trains!

Please do not send me links to clickbait youtubers. I won't be posting them.

The majority of those sites take everything they read and hear out of context and some of what they post is often libelous. And they do not only do it to Bioware. This has happened to other game companies too. These clickbait youtubers sole purpose is to cash on fandom negativity, panic, etc among the more negative fans who enjoy assuming the worst. These youtubers only care to profit on the toxicity of the fandom. I refuse to contribute to that.

And since having done this blog for a long time I've come to see that there are many fans who can't seem to understand that there is a difference between true criticism of greedy corporations and trashing a developers' hard work not to mention having no understanding of how games development cycle works.

Awhile back John Epler tweeted that he played Dreadwolf in front of the staff. The game is coming. And that's enough for me. I'll make my judgment known AFTER I play the game.
