Ok but Ellie would be such an irritating person to deal with on [insert dating platform here]. Cause like - she knows what she wants but is afraid to just say that? She'd have the whole 'let's see where it goes', keep it casual thing going on her profile. Doesn't want to talk about what you are or put labels on it but then at the same time she'd be "casual" until she wasn't because nothing about this girl screams I'm ok with you fucking other people. So then you spend weeks never actually having a conversation about it until she gets jealous and boom.

A short outfit analysis of the rain fight
Okay, we know this scene, we both love it and hate it, it's angsty and fundamental in Byler. And the first time I've seen it, there was one thing that immediately caught my eye: the guys' shirts, or rather their colours.
We know that Mike's colour is blue and Will's colour is yellow, yet during this scene, they are wearing each other's colours.
(a close-up so it's more visible)
So, what does it mean? I have two interpretations, which can go hand-in-hand.
When Mike says "it's not my fault you don't like girls" to Will, he is projecting, hence why Will is wearing his colour. This sentence is addressed to his friend, but to himself as well, intentionally or not.
On the other hand, Will is facing himself when he hears this sentence, and I think it can reflect internalised homophobia. The yellow forces him to face this issue = himself (though he is clearly not the issue).
I'm not exactly sure what to do with the fact that both their shirts have stripes, apart from the fact that stripes are supposed to be straight, but when you wear them, they inevitably crease and are not straight anymore.

For a lot of these I can answer “I just think you’re neat” and that sounds so plain but do you know how many not-neat things I come across?? A lot. Most of the things I see. If I just think you’re neat, that’s actually a one of a kind thing because truth be told, I don’t stop and look at a lot of things and say “that’s neat!”

How’re you liking tears of the kingdom??
Well! I got to the big reveal part of the plot which actually made me tear up a tiny bit imagining what Links reaction to the news actually might be if he tended to show much emotion. I the player was sad. And I was a player who IMMEDIATELY recovered my lost gear once I got the news… so that was a lot right away.
So in response I reported to the NPCs who needed to know, then took a depression detour where I un-equipped all my combat gear, slept in the Hateno house, swapped into my botw-throwback clothes, and just did side quests in the village until I figured it was time to start doing plot shit again.
Haven’t gotten the motivation to use my recovered gear yet and even see what it does now. 🥲

Last non-term post for a little bit, I promise. I’m gonna set the queue to post a ridiculous amount for the rest of the month, so I can have all my non-Halloween(ish) terms out of it by October. This means the next three/four days are gonna have 16 posts, plus a bonus 2 somewhere in there. I can’t keep up with this long run, obviously, but it should be an… interesting next few days. Enjoy I guess
