The Mall 8/27/77
Practically crawled my way through the Capitol building, only to be met with an endless maze of trenches under the Washington Monument.
Talon is after my ass, and these super mutants too. When will it end? I found shelter inside the Museum of History, where a settlement of ghouls that calls itself Underworld welcomed me in. Their doctor helped patch me up and take care of my addiction. This is the first big group of ghouls that hasn't tried biting my face off, but it makes me realize that they really are just as human as the rest of us.
A Mister Crowley attempted to hire me to kill some bigots, to which I gladly obliged in his defense, but after some poking around I found out that this was just a straight up heist. I think it is still right to go after that Tenpenny; I think I saw his tower near the vault a while back.
God, have the people of this world just been killing themselves for the last two hundred years? Has it always been like this?

I wish they made the main quest harder to acces and finish, or to have more step to it... because once I played it one the experience wouldn't be the same. It so amazing discovering new location and being like 'I'm gonna explore that' so damn good.
The fallout franchise has one of the most beautiful heavy lore ridden world I've ever seen
I love the theme of change in the west coast trilogy and how strongly it contrasts the game's moto of "war never changes". I love how you can look at the changes to the NCR from shady sands to the republic but I also love how you can look at the Khans. People and factions do change, but waging war over petty dramas never does, you can escape it, but only if you admit you were wrong and change for the better.
I love the world and the characters. There is always some fucked up shit in the past that has a chance of snowballing into worse shit in the current time, like the cazadores and the new plague. And when characters are written well, they have a chance of being the coolest part of the games, like with Nick Valentine/Hancock or any of the characters of New Vegas.
When things get creepy it's wonderful. More in the vein of Dead Money or the Glowing Sea please!
I love how in NV the apocalypse isn’t just the end of everything. There’s still culture! There’s towns! There’s just people vibing! It feels less like the apocalypse and more like a developed area that is experiencing a war. People moved on after 200 years. Because that’s what people do.
The hopefulness of rebuilding.

oh my god i love arcade gannon so much i dont know why but i am literally about to start studying latin at uni because of him.
Can I just say I love how fnv gave us LGBT characters without making the fact that they're lgbt their entire personality.
I can go through abandoned buildings without getting arrested.
I love that it's helped me make so many new friends and has reignited my creative drive.
Say what you will about robot fetishists but Fisto was the greatest thing to happen to the series. A true icon and reminder of wonderful writing and character design. They may say you can't make a flawless character, but I say "look at Fisto". Don't boo me, I'm right.

My Courier (my OC)
@digitalralls I was thinking about this one - my Courier from New Vegas.
My protagonist is Latino; he is highly intelligent and speaks multiple languages. His mother is one of the New Khans who didn’t join Papa Khan in his new iteration of the New Khans into the Great Khans. She raised him in the Khan fashion, which he speculates is why he was able to survive Benny's attempt to murder him. His Khan heritage is why he has a soft spot for the Great Khans given their shared history, which is why he spares them from his vengeance when he ventures to find Benny and kill him despite their complicity in Benny's actions against him.
His father was from Puerto Rico (traveling to the mainland by sea in the same fashion that Colin Moriarty and Alistair Tenpenny did) and had an affinity for highly sophisticated technology, which the main character shares.
Armed with the Holorifle from the Sierra Madre. He is wearing the Lucky Shades, the Pimp-Boy 3 Billion, and the psychoanalytic cardiac-dampening sneaky stealth suit from the X-13 research facility.
ED-E is his son (who was subsequently upgraded by the Followers of the Apocalypse). ☕

"Aw, you really think I care, don't you?" The raider throws Oppy's backpack to another, who begins to dig through its contents.
"Never said that. Just give it back and I'll be on my--"

After rescuing Oppy from the raiders, you have the option to recruit her as a traveling companion.

If you give her dirty water, she’ll eventually hand back purified water!
(First time picking up dirty water with Oppy traveling with you) “Oooh! My mom taught me how to boil all the dirt and stuff out of water ages ago. I can clean those up for you if you want! Much healthier too, don’t want you getting sick on me!”
(Giving her dirty water) “Oh yuck! Will get this back to you as soon as I can!”
(Handing back purified water) “Bye dirt! You belong with the plants, not in my drinking water, thank you very much!”

Oppy will occasionally pick up miscellaneous items on your journey with her. Sometimes they’ll even be useful! She will occasionally share them with the player. The things she picks up can range from an old pre-war phone to a stray stimpak she nabbed.

Oppy doesn’t have a personal quest, but she’ll occasionally bring up smaller quests to go to different places around the DC area for research purposes. The player will likely need to take down low-level enemies from these locations before Oppy is able to complete her research.
If enough quests are completed, the player is granted the ‘In the Know!’ perk. This will grant special dialogue options while Oppy is by your side.
(For example, during the Stealing Independence quest if you have Oppy by your side you can ask Abraham to tell you more about the location you’re going to.)

definitely anora! at first i was like most typical fans, not really giving her much time to show me what a badass politician and person she was. i was too focused on the fact that she seemed to be “against” my character and of course my first DA character was a cousland queen who romanced alistair so i was pretty hellbent on becoming queen. but i love her so so so much now.
comic wise? victor. i was so happy with the group before he was added so i kind of bristled at the thought of a new runaway but i really love him. he fits well.
show wise? the yorkes. they were pretty unlikable like all of the parents in the comics but they have changed them in the show to be pretty much...two of the only couples that aren’t so caught up in their own bullshit to parent their child (the other being the wilders)
probably benny! he’s obviously set up to be an antagonist but I really like him as a character and his motivations + past. i feel like he could have been expanded upon and helped the player run/free new vegas.

So in my current TTW playthrough I have the Someguy2000 mods installed and I wanted to discuss my headcanons for who pays Talon Company as well as The Gunners of Fallout 4
So my headcanon is that The Gunners and Talon Company are apart of a larger faction based in New York City a faction my Lone Wanderer/Courier 6 doesn't encounter fully until she makes it to The Mojave as this faction just made it to the west coast as well
The Syndicate also known as The Outfit and The Organization and The Core
The Syndicate for those who haven't played Someguy2000's mods are the main antagonists of his mod The Inheritance and they are a massive crime organization that is spread across post-war America
My personal headcanon is that they have people in both The Commonwealth and The Capital Wasteland as mercenary companies who keep both wastelands as a lawless place
As of right now The Syndicate has control over most of the east coast and only recently tried expanding to the west coast as of 2281
Most raider factions and slavers have worked with The Syndicate in the past such as Ishmael Ashur and Eulogy Jones but have worked with some other undesirables such as Alistair Tenpenny and Daniel Littlehorn and others
The Syndicate has also worked with some well known wasteland outlaws such as Judge Richter Joel Glanton Johnny Rounder Red Bear and The Booth Brothers
But they also have contacts in the west coast as well such as The Omertas Roy Sullivan and NCR Senator Burke and most crime families in New Reno

my go-to song for eden is always as far as i could get by florence + the machine. it also reminds me more of fallout 1 but i love these lyrics applied to the lone wanderer in general:

i don’t know what denomination james would have been, it could be literally anything, but i’d say she’s a protestant christian. the enclave are probs more catholic and then she just gravitates to that instead. she has like no faith during fo3 until her new faction gets to proselytising and then she gathers it back and teaches it to her own children
20. If your character was allowed to murder one person without any consequences, who would that person be and why?
omg i really don’t know for this one... she already killed alistair tenpenny haha i can’t currently think of any really foul people she wouldn’t get away w/ killing.

I’m going to answer these with some of my stuff for my Lone Wanderer, Luke Williams!
⚖️ What is the biggest crime your OC has committed? Are they a thief, a cheat, a liar? What is the smallest, most petty crime they’ve committed? Or do they not do crime at all?
To be completely honest, the biggest crime Luke has committed was most likely the murder of Alistair Tenpenny, and it served as the beginning of his metamorphosis into the legend of the Lone Wanderer. While he had done good leading up to it, it was a sign that he would become a vengeful legend, dispatching justice among the ruins of the Capital Wastes.
💗 Relationships? Who are their friends, their family relations, lover(s), foes? What sort of personalities really tick them off and what others do they like? Is there anything that’d ruin a friendship for them?
There are two women who are the most important in Luke’s life; Sarah Lyons and Piper Wright. Some of his best friends are Dogmeat (duh), Fawkes, Harkness, and Three Dog. Once he gets to the Commonwealth, Nick Valentine becomes a surrogate father of sorts.
👽 Describe your OC as if they were an urban legend or myth!
The Lone Wanderer was the type of man that the average down-on-their-luck wastelander praised and the type that every person with the intent to harm others feared. He was ruthless, yet fair, and those that crossed him met their demise at the long end of the barrel of his pistol or plasma rifle. They say that he was once a respected member of the Brotherhood of Steel, but that his sense right and wrong led to his exile from the group. Though he has vanished, people still build shrines in his honor and whisper stories of his exploits.
