Another comic review. Alice Ever After is the comic that sent me down this obsessive rabbit hole (pun intended) of becoming a comic lover. This is one of the best versions of Alice that I've ever read. I loved the surprising twists throughout the series. It is a limited series, which was disappointing just because I enjoyed the story so much. Anyway, if you want a darker twist on Alice this is a great choice. It's a 5-issue series. Beyond the story and the art, these covers are absolutely gorgeous (all variants).

Alice, collared and leashed in Wonderland (comic books, 2023)
Alice Never After #1 (July 2023) variant cover by InHyuk Lee. Published by Boom Studios.
I did check to see that this was a depiction of the character as an adult.
..."Alice first visited Wonderland as a child. Now an adult, it's her only escape from a cold, strange reality she finds herself living in"....
-text from the book's solicitation from Boom Studios.

female protagonists will literally go through 30 life altering traumas at the age of 16 and you ppl still have the audacity to call them annoying bc they cry about it and act like teenage girls

Just finished the final issue of Alice Never After and needless to say I loved the ending with Alice finally coming back to herself and being ready to leave Wonderland behind and live her real life. Also really loved how big a help Rabbit was to her deciding that. And Dodo was great.
Would have liked more then two panels of this new awake Alice though. But -shrugs- Hopefully we'll get another mini.
But one thing I didn't like was the same thing I haven't liked all through Alice Never After. And that is what happened to Alice's two pet cats??
In Alice Ever After Alice had two pet cats who would have monologue's through each of the issues. But in Alice Never After we don't see them at all, and don't even find out what happened to them.
And honestly as a kitty lover that annoys me.

i can’t get over the symbolism of red canary’s username in sam’s statement. do you think that was a choice jon made? that jon might have picked the statement as a warning to look away, only for sam to take it as a reason to investigate
