Everyone always makes posts about ibuprofen. “Let’s take ibuprofen together” “I hope whoever invented ibuprofen is getting the hottest fucknasty sex in heaven rn” etc etc and it’s all very valid, but where’s the love for us aleve enthusiasts ? Chronic pain hotties ? Naproxen devotees ? Aleve is literally my wife of 44 years show her some respect

Biopsy and prescription drug talk below the cut

Two weeks from tomorrow I have to get an endometrial biopsy. I had one years ago and was told it wouldn't hurt bad, just like cramps. It was so much worse and very traumatic.

Anyway, my new doctor says I need one, but she's prescribing me some medication before hand so that it won't hurt as bad and to help with my anxiety. I got this message from the nurse today: "You can take the Vicodin 1 hour prior to the procedure and the Xanax about half an hour before the procedure. We also recommend you take 600mg of Ibuprofen or Aleve. Be sure you have someone to drive you to and from the appointment."

Just... holy shit if this is what I'm being given now, how is it ethical to do this procedure on people and not offer them any pain medication like during my first one? I found out that in other a lot of countries outside the US, these biopsies are done under general anesthesia. Why are we so cruel to people?

Daily Comic Journal: July 27, 2021: "Oh The Pain, The Pain."

Even though I’m out of work, fortunately I still have Health Insurance (Cobra) so I can get this tooth problem covered. Not sure if it’s a cavity or something worse (possible root canal?). I’m also fortunate that I was able to et an appointment with my dentist tomorrow. I just hope the Aleve holds out. I mean, I’m still in pain, but it’d be worse without the pain pills.

I was trying to figure out if I was feeling dysmorphic bc my face looked bigger than normal. Then I remembered that’s how I looked when my face swelled from medicine that one time and that my current medicine can cause face swelling. Naturally, I popped 2 Aleve and yeah it was just swelling.
