ASMLP Accountability - Update 9

We are four chapters from the end. Not gonna lie, I had a lil bit of a breakdown yesterday because I am,,, so intensely busy lately. Between this and insurance school and wedding planning and having a life... Man am I tired.

Excerpt:

She stills, planting her hands under her rear to stop the aching. It will have to do. Settled, Nadia’s gaze flicks from Doctor Aiza to the man sitting next to her. Fresh leather patches cover the points of his elbows. His jawline is sharp enough to chip glass. He adjusts his glasses, stopping at once when he notices her appraising him.

“Who is this?” Nadia asks, swinging her legs. She’s not quite tall enough for her feet to touch the floor. She can’t remember the last time her circumstances have made her feel so childish.

Doctor Aiza’s rapid blinks betray her surprise. Then, clipboard held close to her chest, “This is Professor Darzi.”

Nadia adjusts her position once again. Simone has mentioned him before. “I thought your specialty was Glyph design,” she says. For once, the scorn dripping from her voice is unintentional.

Professor Darzi’s head tilts. “I-it is,” he replies, tugging at his lavender scarf. It contrasts well with his skin, as warm and wrinkled as oak bark. And the voice. Etienne’s type of man, for certain.

“Then why are you here?”

thanks for the ask mary <3 the rest of this is under the cut because this is kinda long lol

Two weeks into ordered bedrest and Jason felt terrible. It was supposed to be a sabbatical of some sort– as ordered by Bizarro. Yet he couldn’t help but feel more stressed than ever. His skin was on fire and every tiny movement was agony. His joints were sore and he hadn’t been able to get a wink of sleep for the past week. Maybe it would be easier if he were on his own– in his own little apartment. But with three ribs broken, nobody trusted him enough to take the required time off if he wasn’t supervised.

Maybe they were right to.

But here– here there were people. Albeit people he trusted to have his back– but he didn’t know how they’d react to this. They’d probably do what everyone else did– stare at him in disgust and find some excuse to leave. Because shifters were dirty and were lesser creatures pretending to be humans. Jason didn’t think he could bear it if Artemis or Bizarro did that.

Artemis, who was always at his side after a nightmare, pushing away stray hairs and holding his hand. Who laughed at him after Bizarro had fallen asleep on him, trapping him. Who always sat intently as he rambled on about the latest book he’d read. Bizarro, who noticed when Jason was having a bad night and made some excuse to stay with him. Who begged Jason to play video games with him and wouldn’t let Jason leave till they beat it. Bizarro, who was determined to learn how to cook from Jason. Would they still want that, would they still do that if they knew? He didn’t want to find out. So he pushed his instincts down down down until he thought he’d explode.

He was already feeling the after-effects. His nerves were on fire and there was this stiffness he couldn’t seem to get out of him. Everything was too quiet, too blurry. He felt like an itch he couldn’t scratch– not for lack of trying, though. His arms had become a battlefield of scabs, only growing worse every time his fingers raked down them in order to find some sense of relief.

There was none.

The worst thing about it? Jason’s worsening symptoms only brought a worsening mood. The smallest things made him irritable and he found himself yelling at his teammates for no reason. It was only after the damage had been done did Jason realize what just happened. By then, Artemis was mad and Bizarro was upset and everything was horrid.

So yeah, he felt terrible.

This is a Jaytemis Shifter AU fic! In which Jason can shift into a wolf and artie can shift into a lioness. This excerpt is supposed to be around the middle of the fic where Jason has already befriended Artemis and bizarro but is still scared to reveal to them that he’s a shifter. And its getting unhealthy :( Little does Jason know that Artemis is also a shifter and they work through it together :)

ehehe did you notice what I did there? The not so well kept secret is that they're both shifters and they're both in looooove~~ Ok ill stop now

ahhhh...sorry for the silence you guys! i had a bunch of stressors popping up all at once (finals, familial responsibilities, relationship stuff..., JOB SEARCH) but i finished my finals!!! and things are clearing up so i’m gonna get to posting again...

Is that JUSTINE MAE BITICON on campus? Oh no, that’s KENNEDY “KEN” ALAMILLA. From MANHATTAN, NEW YORK. the NINETEEN year old has come to study ART. Rumor has it she is CREATIVE and INNOVATIVE, but SENSITIVE and STUBBORN, which is why she is known as THE AVANT GARDE. She resides in ALPHA CHI OMEGA and can’t wait to graduate.

but anyway meet my new bby kennedy, but she goes by ken

she was born in new york and lived in soho, manhattan where she was raised by her mother before coming to monarch

her mother is from the phillipines and was a foreign exchange student in mexico, where she met kennedy’s dad, named miguel aiza, and began a relationship with him. but unbeknownst to her, he had mafia ties and was slowly becoming a drug lord

he kept it a secret for a couple of years, but following a run in with the police, he was arrested for drug charges in front of her. however, he was let go due to his mafia ties working in his favor *cough* bribery *cough*

when her mother found out, she initially wanted to leave but stayed out love and the two married in 1996

the two lived a luxurious and illegal lifestyle for many years, and during that time, her father became a highly feared drug lord and was responsible for a large amount of drug trafficking/trading

at his peak, her father had a net worth of $15 billion dollars that he kept mostly in cash and buried in forests and fields, so that it couldn’t be seized in bank accounts by law enforcement. this isn’t counting the money that he had stored in safe houses or his mansions

however, her father was again arrested, this time with sufficient evidence against him as the DEA and FBI had been working with mexico police on a several-year investigation against him

her father was tipped off by one of his men that the police were coming for him, so he put kennedy’s mother on a plane to new york for her safety

his mansions were raided and every member of his circle was arrested, including him

when her mother got to new york, she found out that she was pregnant with kennedy

because she was being searched for as well, her mother changed her name and assumed a new identity; now going by rose alamilla instead of her married name valeria aiza

when kennedy was born, instead of putting aiza on the birth certificate, she put alamilla

ken’s father is incarcerated still and is serving a life sentence but is eligible for parole sometime soon (because i wanna do a plot with that shh)

he was informed of her birth through a letter sent to him by her mother as well as a picture which he keeps taped to his cell wall along with others that her mother has sent over the years

he sends her letters and tries to get in contact with her but kennedy doesn’t know how to respond

kennedy is aware of her father and what he’s done, but because she’s never met him, she doesn’t have any strong feelings about him.

$500 million of the $15 billion that was buried in the field was sent to them by her father for kennedy and her mom to live off of. an additional $350 million has been put in a trust fund for kennedy, which she’ll receive when she’s twenty one. it is currently being laundered and put into a bank account for easier access.

kennedy isn’t allowed to talk about her father or mention him. she just tells people that her father passed away when she was young

does gymnastics and cheerleading and maintains a job to not seem suspicious

she’s big into art and acting, and is an artist

her art style is reminiscent of frida kahlo

has a bunch of famous paintings on her bedroom wall

and she’s into music as well, and is in tati’s band where she plays lead guitar and her guitar style is similar to kurt cobain’s

however, she’ll most likely pursue a career in art

and because she’s crazy rich, she doesn’t have to worry about going broke or being a starving artist

but she’s really great and is super nice but also edgy ????

smokes weed and does other drugs (low key has substance abuse issues that i also want to do plots with)

smokes herbal cigarettes because she likes the aesthetic of smoking but doesn’t want the cancer that comes with it

speaks fluent spanish

gives off the ‘big dick energy’ vibe

is 6′0″ so she towers over nearly everyone and has really long legs

she has her dad’s temper so uh try not to piss her off pls she’s patient until pushed to the limit but she also has her mom’s caring side and is super sweet

loves to party and have a good time, so she’s vice pres. of alpha chi omega but she knows when to draw the line and focus on school and excels at it so she’s really smart

Did Sora REALLY just talk to her like that? Did he really? She cleared her throat, preparing herself for the longest ramble of the century.

"First of all, don't fucking talk to me like that. Normally I'd be all for it, kyaa kyaa, but I'm obviously dealing with some shit right now so get your nose out of the daisies. Secondly: Did you literally not hear a word I just said? I just gave you an exact thought process to why I think it would be you. Get your ears out of the marshmallows. You're right, it COULD be Haha-tan. But you're smarter. Blah blah blah whatever Hero-tan says, someone still has to know how to build a trap even if they don't get chemistry, ok? I've never built one, how the fuck would I know how? You're the most likely out of the three of us, I think.

THIRDLY, did you really fucking imply that I would kill Jun? Like did that bullshit really come out of your mouth? Do you know what I'm going through right now? Probably because you've dealt with strong emotions your whole life, huh? Guess what? I haven't and I have no idea how to deal with any of this. And for your information, I was in love with him. I felt the strongest for him out of anyone else ever ever. Waahhh stupid teenagers, using your crushes as an excuse to act bad, it's not the end of the world, wahh wahhh, what if Kira-tan was dead, huh? What would you do then? What if I accused you of killing Kira-tan? Shut your little bitch mouth and pay attention to what people are saying before you brush them off, kay? Kay."

She panted and slammed her head on the desk, trying to focus and take in the following information. Chika, Hiroto, someone, AIZA. She scratched at her leg with her free hand, peeling off the top layer of skin with the pressure. Fukai watched, wondering how many scratches it would take to start bleeding. The kind of imagery that would be. Or if someone else in here would start bleeding. Just how many scratches would it take?

Once she caught her breath, she lifted her head again and squinted at the group.

"Nah, Chichi-tan, I think somebody would plant a hair. If they weren't even there when the fireworks boomed over there, then why would it be crispy? Hold it under a lighter or something. Besides, why would they write the color like that under Jun? That seems silly. So, like. At least, it's possible that somebody coulda just planted it.

Also, Hero-tan, it was just the one stab that was clean, not lots of cuts. Though, like... there was blood and stuff from his knees so the non-squeamish part makes sense. But yeah I'm pretty sure only the big stabby was faked to hide the death cause. Still pretty sure it was poison gas, so. Hyponengin Suffer doesn't sound good to breathe."

Whether she mispronounced that on purpose or not was up in the air.

"Unless there's anybody else who didn't find ceramic pieces by their balloons, then the big baddy was just by the boardwalk. They all like... went off at once, so, there's no reason somebody's hair woulda been singed in the explosion if nobody was there in the first place."

Watch Dogs Headcanons - Animal Quirks/ Symbolisms.

Feels like I'm writting a newspaper but nah, just more delulu Aiza journal 😭

Anyways!! Remember when I said I had Headcanons of giving my fav characters animal refs/ symbolisms? Well... Decided to do that today! 🥳

So lemme start with the list! First gonna do with some of the characters from WD1 that got most of my attention/ are more well-known. ( PS: trigger warning for people with Arachnophobia when arriving at Clara's part? Is right under Aiden's, skip if you so wish)

Aiden Pearce - Gray Fox. (Urocyon cinereoargenteus)

Ok, this one is basically common knowledge since we all know that's where his damn nickname comes from lol.

Aiden has a lot of paralels with Gray Foxes, from the round faces, to climbing skills to hunting abilities!

Foxes in general represents Cunniness, Witt, a Sharp Mind and a Dubious Morality with it's Trickstery Nature. However, Gray Foxes represent neutrality, a symbol of maturity, but also sadness and indecisiveness... That sounds familiar, does it? It fits Aiden's description awfully well!

For my HC of his mannerism:

- When Aiden was younger, he used to climb trees all the time back at Belfast. His mom used to yell at him afraid he would fall. ( Wich he did. A lot actually.)

- Like a fox, he has great hearing, detecting easily when people are approaching by.

- He loves fruit (He likes Strawberry Shortcake and Banana Cake) and meat! Although he rarely has time to cook for himself and relies heavily on fast food, he is an enjoyer of chicken and hare meats!

- When Aiden manages to sleep without stress (in very rare occasions), he tend to sleep curled up under his sheets without noticing.

- He has a strong smell. When not because of his constant exercises running after criminals, is because of his wooden deodorant + his trench coat of leather. lol

(Like even after showering, his smell is not bad, just strong than usual.)

- His face is secretly very sensible. If he shaves his face and gets touched their somehow, he'll shiver and recoil bc that's a VERY sensitive face. Even with his stubbles, he can easily feel the texture and touch of someone on his cheeks, like a fox with it's whiskers. 🥺

Clara Lille - Trapdoor Spider! (Liphistius malayanus)

This one is also, once again, common knowledge! I mean, she's called like that in game- lol

Our dear Badboy17, the tattoo girlboss herself, it's pretty obvious where the spider parallels go with Clara: Her lethality, how she work in the dark, carefully using the web in her favor... But is there more to it? 🤔

Spiders represent the Resilience, Unseen Danger and the Connectedness.

All those meanings fit Clara perfect: She's connected to many things, Aiden, the Club, Dedsec... She works in the dark corners, weaving her web of connections and the benefits she can get of it. Similarly, she is an unseen danger, a person that can discover everything about others without them even suspecting, and using that against them... But she's also Resilient. Despite her connections and actions, she weaved her own path to redemption on helping Aiden, to try to fix her mistake and make amends for her past actions... And much like a spider, she was easily killed, because while Spiders are easy to disappear from our sight, people won't think twice about killing them if they're considered a "threat" to them...

For my HC of her mannerisms:

- Clara is excelent with handscraft: Eletronics, Art, Sewing... She's great at anything that requires hand work since she's very precise and perfectionist.

- She's into Urban Exploration! She loves to find dark, abandoned and hidden places left in urban areas, specially if they have some connection to Blume as a bonus.

- One of her favorite foods is Sushi! Is quick, pratical and she just like fishes. (One of Trapdoor Spiders prey 🥰)

- Is not afraid of insects but doesn't like them at all, will either kill or try to take them away from the place, if the insect is harmless.

- Clara has pretty good instinct, mostly reflex in near-body combat, but she rarely displays them since she rarely needs to fight someone nowdays or is caught offguard by gunned opponents.

- She is a solitary person, in the sense that she stays hidden in her little corner and rarely gets out with others, aside for working at the tatto studio she works on. :')

Jordi Chin - Korat Cat. (Felis Catus)

This one was suggested by @paul-poppy-art but I think everyone here agrees Jordi gives major cat energy. XD

Our favorite Fixer is funny, odd and sarcastic lovable sociopathic asshole and we all know it, but saying out loud, that does fit the description of a cat! 😂

Cats are hunters, and their symbolism is mostly tied to Indenpendence, Inteligence and Mystery, this fits Jordi perfect.

A man that works indenpendely, his only criteria is who pays more, wich will be more advanteging to him. An Inteligent and calculative killer that always has a plan in mind and a mysterious person whose' past we know nothing about! Still, he stays by Aiden's side and display his affection in a more non-verbal way (like a cat lol)

For my HC of his mannerisms:

- He has a pretty light walking, you can't hear him comming behind you... Wich is either very dangerous or annoying, depending on your situation.

- Jordi is incredibly sensitive to his surroundings and always knows what is happening around him. You can't surprise him, you simply can't.

- When not working, he tends to stay layed down or sit a lot, like a "big lazy cat". lol

- Is a clean freak. Likes to keep all his work and himself the most well-presented her can. He absolutely despite Aiden's lack of self-care. 😭

- Has extremily good reflexes and flexibility, if he gets to you, you're Fcked. (proof is at WD2)

- Is not a verbal type of guy to express his feelings, but more of the type of doing small gestures to the people he cares for. He brings them food as one of his love languages.

(Kinda like when a cat brings a bird at home to "feed their human". lol)

T-Bone Grady - Bearded Collie Dog. (Canis Lupus Familiaris)

Now is turn for the legendary Hacker Dilf himself!! 🥳

Honestly T-Bone was both easy and hard because well... His name. XD

I struggled a Lot with what race he could be, but looking a bit up, I think Bearded Collie would fit like a glove! For his character design, mostly. 😂

Dogs symbolism is tied to Loyalty, Fidelity, Alertness and Protection.

We see this a lot on T-Bone, he won't hesitate to attack to defend himself, although to his friend's he's loyal and always watch over them and their safety.

(Him trying to reach Aiden to alert him in the Bad Blood DLC) and of course, him always being in alert for Fixers after him.

My personal HCs for his mannerisms:

- Will occasionally pace around or throw/ destruct somethings if too stressed.

- Spend a lot of time on his hair and beared, and tends to let some hair strings behind.

(like a true big furred dog lol)

- Like the Bearded Collie breed, T-Bone doesn't usually "bark", he bites first.

- Can't really stay inside for too long, gets easily bored and just generally hates being idly by.

- Is curious and enjoys a challenge, this old a-hole will take anything to unlock areas/ information that no one else has access to.

- Will always be around the people he cares for, like, physically. He follows/ stays around his friends like a dog with his owner. 😭

(Shows much more Physical Display of Affection out of the main Trio tbh)

Nicole Anne Pearce - Bumblebee. (Bombus)

HEAR ME OUT OK? The patterns on her shirt and her color palette reminded me so much of a Bumblebee! 😭

They're so chonky and floofy! Tell me Nicky ain't cute like them? 🥺🥹

Bumblebees symbolises Hardwork, Productivity, New Beginings and the Importance of a Community! I think those describes Nicole very well!

She's a hard-working single mother providing for her child(ren), her job as an Event Planner reminds me of the systematic work system of bees! Her community (family) is extremily important to her and she fought for their best... Unfortunetly, she had to re-start her life after everything that happened in WD, so all the animal symbolisms fit her character very well. :')

My personal HC for her mannerisms:

- She has the habit of "hum" while working, doing chores or running errands.

(Like the buzz of a bee lol)

-Nicky loves flowers but she doesn't have a garden since she rarely has time to dedicate to it. :')

-She loves honey! And she used to eat a lot of honey-made when she was a kid! 🥰

- Woman can't stay still, she's always moving around trying to do things: Chores, return calls, etc. Aiden used o joke she was "too much of a busy bee".

- She has a pretty characteristic floral smell. Almost all her house smell likes a garden, always with a floral hint in the air.

(Aiden used to find it comforting whenever he visited her and the kids.)

And that's it for today!! There are still missing some other characters from WD1 I still wanted to correlate to animal symbolisms, but this already long af 🥲

I'll (MAYBE) post a part II about the other characters I wanted to associate + another part talking about WD2 characters and their animal symbolisms I Headcanon them with 🥰

Jacob Frye x Solange Cotoner-Artois - Jacolange (Game: Assassin's Creed Syndicate)

Another couple that is smol 🤏🏽

Tbh I thought Jacob was like, 1.75 cm considering his build, but nah, he's short kgjfjhhk

(The nickname "Rook" make sense now khkgjhkk)

Anyways, my bird couple: British Rook and Spanish Hoopoe 🥹🐦‍⬛🐦🧡

Aiden Pearce x Morowa Bancroft - Aidrowa (Game: Watch Dogs)

This one doesn't need introductions here, because I'm rambling about them for days by now 😭

But ngl, their height difference send me up- KFJFJGKJKK I LEGIT FORGOT HOW FUCKING TALL AIDEN WAS OMG

Morowa is a short Hound compared to him KFHDJGKHKJKK 😭🪦

Anyways, not gonna dive too deep in their relationship yet bc I'm still writting/ drawing them down, all I can say is, I love my Fox x Hound couple 🥹🫶🏽
