Author’s Note - Hii everyone! Please excuse any grammar mistakes please, I don’t be proofreading like that.. Anyways! I might make this like its own stand alone fic, or like make a scene from when Lo’ak got stranded? I don’t want it to be super sad, so it will have fluff, duhhh. But let’s just trust the process and see how it goes!!
Tumblr media
Summary - During another restless night, you decide to venture and explore the forests of the Metkayina Clan. Though your solo adventure is cut short when you catch wind of sorrowful cries.
Tumblr media
Warnings - mentions of suicide, swearing, big sister comfort, big sister advice, talking about love, depressed Lo’ak, fluff

You sigh into the air, eyes tracing the woven pattern of the ceiling, over and over and over again.
Rubbing your sore eyes did nothing to make you feel tired, you tossed and turned, desperate to catch at least a sliver of sleep.
But nothing was working.
Splayed laying out, you felt defeated. That was until you remembered that little night out you had with Awpxey in the forest back home, you smiled as you felt your stomach and face get warm.
You looked over to his sleeping mat next to you, seeing how he was completely knocked out. Slow breathing as light snores came from his mouth.
You frowned, knowing that his sleep was very much deserved, you reached over and held his hand, smiling at the way his instinctively wrapped around yours.
As you continued to recall that night, your head perked up as you remembered Aiya telling you that on the end of the beach there is a forest. And you could tell from afar it was a big one.
You quietly got up, pulling your blanket off of you slowly as to not make the fabric ruffle too much. Once you were crouched, you leaned down and gave Awpxey a quick kiss on his cheek.
Pulling your hand out of his softly before placing his on his chest.
You obviously made sure to grab your shawl, knowing it gets chilly at night.
Something in your gut was telling you to grab your extra large one. So you did. Trusting your gut with even the littlest of things.
Wrapping the soft fabric around your shoulders, you walked right out of the entrance, stepping softly as to not wake any of your neighbors.
The walk was bit long, but definitely not too bad. The walk gave you enough time to walk at your own pace, it gave you enough time to think clearly without any distractions.
You had peace and quiet.
Once you entered the forest, your jaw dropped.
It looks exactly like home.
Or… Somewhat at least. It looks very similar in a way. Maybe it’s the bioluminescence on the plants? Maybe the trees?
No, the trees aren’t tall enough.
But this would suffice. Anything that looked like home.
Anything that reminded you of home.
The creaks and chirps of the nocturnal animals sounded different from the ones back at the forest. Maybe different species.
Though the further you walked, the more your ears perked to the sound of cries. No they were sobs. Heartbroken sobs.
You paused, your heart picking up a bit. Anybody could be out here. Anybody. And you don’t know who.
Was it one of the villagers? Had they come to relieve themselves of stress?
You didn’t know, you wanted to know, but knew it could be dangerous.
That didn’t stop you though. You moved your feet once again, walking lightly to the direction in which the sobs were coming.
Your heart slows when you come close enough and finally see the silhouette of your baby brother.
Lo’ak.
He is a sad mess. Wretched angry sobs spilling from his mouth as he was slumped over, his leg bended to where his foot was touching the other leg’s thigh, hands cover his eyes.
His back was turned to you, so you tried your best to approach him calmly, placing a warm hand on his back while whispering a soft, “Lo’ak..”
It hurt you to see the way he flinched so harshly, turning around to face you quickly.
“Hey.. Hey baby brother, it’s me.” You nodded to show confirmation, placing your hand on his head. “It’s just me.”
Once you seen the gears in his head finally turn, his facial expression turned right back to the one of emotional pain he just had.
“Y/n.” He sobbed out, grabbing onto the hand that wasn’t on his head, wrapping his arms around yours, crying into the fabric of the shawl.
You acted quick, sitting yourself down next to him on the sleek rock, pulling his head to your collarbone.
Deciding that letting him cry it out then talk would be the best decision.
After about 3 minutes of rocking back and forth, while rubbing Lo’ak’s back, his cries began to die down. Decreasing into hiccups, sniffles, and silent tears falling from his eyes.
“Lo’ak?” You asked lowly, choosing to only tread the water a bit to see if he was okay with talking.
“Hm?..” You felt — and seen — the way his ears pressed against his head.
He was embarrassed.
“Do you want to tell me what’s wrong? I won’t judge you for anything.” You held up your pinky, hoping it would win him over. “Promise.”
Your heart beat strongly with the success you had as he wrapped his pinky around yours, sitting up a little, but still close enough to where he could feel the warm welcoming embrace of his sister.
You didn’t fail to notice how he tried to stay close, or the slight shiver that was beginning to climb up his arms.
You uncurled the other half of your shawl, throwing it over his shoulders so you both were now wrapped loosely in the fabric.
Lo’ak let out a deep sigh, pondering on where he should start.
“I… I want to f-feel better..” He closes his eyes as he feels the tears build behind his eyes, and that pain starts to infiltrate his throat.
You made no expressions, no noises. Right now, you were only going to sit and listen to what he wanted to say.
“I want to just be better.” His voice breaks, and tears began to well up in your eyes also, you place a hand on his shoulder, though he continues.
“I want to be better so dad can finally like me, appreciate me, be proud of me, see me.” His hands come to his front, moving as he talks.
“Why doesn’t he just try to understand? Why doesn’t he just come talk to me or ask me any questions on how I’m doing?”
“I’m trying my best. I swear I really am.”
That broke you. But you decided and tried to keep it together, continuing to be here for your baby brother.
You hug him. “I know Lo’ak, I know. I can see it. You’re trying really hard and I’m proud of you. And so are the others. You’ve adapted to being here really quick.” You praise with a smile.
“But how come he doesn’t say that?” Lo’ak’s teary eyes look into yours.
“Everything I do, I-I try to get at least some sort of confirmation from him but he just doesn’t care! He never pays attention to me unless I’ve done something in his eyes bad! Every good deed I do goes unnoticed by him. That’s why he thinks I’m a bad kid.”
“But I’m doing good things.” Lo’ak shook his head as his voice cracked, tears begging to fall off his waterline.
“You’re not a bad kid Lo’ak. You shook your head. “Absolutely not.”
Lo’ak turned his head down, mumbling. “I wish he could say the same.”
“All I ever do is disappoint him. I try to do something good, like help, and then somehow it gets flipped around and now I’m in trouble. I’m the bad kid for being apart of it even if I didn’t start it.”
He shook his head again, looking away to the side.“All I ever do is go over his head.”
“Sometimes I wonder if killing myself is just the thing I need to do for him to finally notice me. To care.”
Your eyes widened in fear and shock, and you went to grab his face, turning his head forcefully to look at you.
“You listen to me Lo’ak, and you better listen good.” His eyes were wide, locked onto your face.
“Don’t ever — ever — say something like that ever again okay?” You shook his head with your hands to enunciate your point, voice breaking as tears welled up in your eyes. “I don’t ever want to hear words even similar to that coming from your mouth, got it?” You said as you attempted to blink the tears away from your eyes.
He nodded, tears building on his lash line also. “I’m sorry Y/n.” He sobbed, placing his head back on your shoulder. “I didn’t mean it, I don’t think I would ever have anything, to do that.”
“Good.” There was now a long pause, silence between you two, though not the ocean or the forest. Where you both sat in between. “Lo’ak, i want to talk to you now about what you just said..” At the way his face contorted, you already knew what he could possibly be thinking.
“No. No.. You’re not in trouble. I’m not gonna say anything to anyone, okay? I swear.” Patting his head that was still rested up against your shoulder.
“I just want to know.” You sigh, trying to get the words out, but you decide that making him sit up and face you would be the better option, wanting to see his true emotions, and let him know that this was a serious deal.
“I just want to know why, you think doing that would be a good idea?” His head looked down as he began to fidget with his fingers, his eyes blinking his tears away as much as they could.
“I just want dad to pay attention to me. P-positively. I don’t want him to only see my mistakes. The things I do “wrong”. Most of them are accidents, they really are.” He shakes his head. “Most of the time I’m trying to do something to help but it always goes south, it ends up wrong, super wrong. I only want to help.”
“Why do you want to help so much Lo’ak?”
“Because I feel like it’s my fault we’re even here!”
You furrowed your eyebrows, very confused. “What.. What do you mean you think it’s your fault we’re here?”
“That day, when we were all at the lake, it was me! I had been complaining all that, I don’t even know, month? To just go to that stupid lake! I wish I never did!” He screamed as he sobbed, covering his eyes with his hands. All you did was pull him close, letting him know you were there, and did not think it was his fault.
“Me and dad were finally having a nice conversation..” He hiccuped in his cries. “He was talking to me and b-being nice.”
You always known that your father was very hard on Lo’ak, everyone has. You have all tried to talk to him about it, but now? This has gotten out of hand. Lo’ak should not feel like he has to kill himself so your father could give him any attention.
“Lo’ak. Lo’ak look at me.” Your hands cups his cheeks, making his eyes meet yours. “I-I am going to tell dad that he has to pay more attention, okay? He needs to fucking wake up and realize what he’s doing.” Lo’ak started to shake his head. “No. No Y/n, no. He’s going to get mad at me-”
“Well that’s too fucking bad. He has to know Lo’ak! This is such bullshit! You shouldn’t feel like taking your own life would suffice for his fuckass attention! I’m sick of the way he treats you, the way he treats Neteyam! It’s not fair to either of you.”
Lo’ak sighed, nodding adamantly. “Can we talk about something else? Please..” You sighed to, sitting side-by-side with him. “Yeah.. Of course. What do you want to talk about?”
“Love.”
His answer shocked you, but the voice he used to say it, he sounded like he was dreaming, lost. And the smile on his face didn’t help.
“Love, huh?” You nudged his shoulder. “Who’s got my baby brother dreaming like a baby? Oh! Is it Tsireya?” You pushed closer, trying to look at his face.
“What!? N-no!” The purple hue that started to creep up his ears, neck, and face betrayed his answer harshly.
“Yeah, okay.” You scoff, rustling his hair.
“So, what do you wanna know?” You sit, waiting for your brother to answer. “Well… How do you know when you love someone? Like, how did you know that you loved Awpxey?”
You looked toward the bright moon, and smiled, trying to hold back some giggles. At that, Lo’ak rolled his eyes, mumbling. “But I’m lovestruck..” You knock his forehead, “shut up! Let me think!” You both push at each other and laugh.
“Well I knew I loved him around I think, hm.. The eighth time we hung out?” You scrunch your face, trying to think while looking at the dark sky. “Eight!?” Your brother chocked out.
“Yeah? What’s wrong with that?” He stared at you, mouth dropped. “That’s a lot of times of “hanging out” for you to notice your eighth — what I would’ve seen as a date — hangout, that you love him!”
You shrugged at his dramatics. “And what? I told myself I would date for marriage! And I kept that promise, I wasn’t going to go just throw myself, especially to just anybody, mating is a very sacred thing, a sacred practice. So I made sure I really, really got to know him before I came up with what I thought.”
“And you obviously thought good.” Lo’ak tried to tease, but you fired back. “Sure did. He was trying to mess with Y/n Sully. I ain’t no basic bitch.” Lo’ak jumped in shock. “Y/n!?” He laughed, joining you in your own laughter.
“One thing about Awpxey, is that he got me to open up. He is just always so supportive, and comforting, that I was able to talk to him, about anything, and he always had something good to say.” You smiled to Lo’ak. “And I can tell Tsireya has that type of personality.”
Putting a hand on his shoulder you rock him sideways. “Treat her good Lo’ak. Try and change for the better, don’t try and become some type of goody two shoes, Eywa please no.” You whisper the last sentence to yourself.
“But try to develop more.. oh, listening skills for one. So she can talk to you too, every person who is always hearing about other people’s problems need their outlets too. Be each other’s outlet.”
He nodded, but questioned. “How am I just going to change though? Where do personal changes come from?” He sighed. “I’m known as the troublemaker, I can’t just change that.”
“Yes you can. If you really wanted to, if you commit yourself you could! But the thing is, do you want to?” He nodded, chewing his lip.
“The only real change comes from inside.”
You place your hand on his chest, pushing lightly on to it. “Follow your heart, it is strong, follow your gut, it is what helps you. Don’t always listen to your head. If you think about doing something, and your gut tells you not to do, but your head does. Which do you follow?”
“Your gut?” He answered, you nodded, patting his chest twice before pulling your hand back. “See. You’re learning little by little. Changing is not an easy process, okay? It’s not an overnight thing, it will take as long as it needs!” He sighed, whispering. “Well I hope it doesn’t take too long..”
“Lo’ak!” You laugh.
For a couple hours more, you both talked and laughed, enjoying the time you spent together, making up for lost time.
“Okay, okay. Lo’ak it’s super late we have to start heading back now.” With an annoying sigh, he got up, dramatically stomping on the rock before jumping down.
After a long, tired, giggly race back home, you both walk out of breath, trying to walk as quietly and as quick as possible.
Right when you and Lo’ak managed to sneak in, as soon as your head touched the pillow, Jake woke up. Rising out of his snoring to look around the hut, making sure everyone was where they were supposed to be.
You covered your mouth to stifle your giggles as your heart raced from almost getting caught. After about two minutes you sit back up, looking to Lo’ak and finding him sitting up also.
“Goodnight Lo’ak. Love you.”
“Goodnight Y/n. Love you too.”

You've always been so curious about mermaids, yet will this one trip to the sea late at night satisfy your curiosity? Or will it make you regret ever coming at all and make you meet your doom?
Cw: mentions of death, drowning, thriller-ish?, not proof-read, fluff
I found no pics of mermaid kazuha so have this fanart of him i made instead
Tumblr media
✧-------------------------------✧
You’re neither a fisherman nor a sailor, you're just someone whose home is near the ocean. Your house stood on a dock. It was relatively large for you and your family to live together. Your house is not far from civilization. Only a few distances apart, a distance that’s just a walk away.
As someone who grew up near the sea, you had a fascination with the ocean and its creatures. Especially about mermaids, who are said to live in the ocean. You had heard locals’ stories of the mermaid’s malicious intentions—how they would seduce sailors or fishermen and drag them down into the bottom of the sea to devour them in the end. This led to your curiosity growing even more. How do they look? What made them so seductive in a way that would lead people to their demise? How do their songs sound? Was it so beautiful that people could get hypnotized by it? The more people warn you about the ill-will of the mermaids, the more you long to see them, or at least catch a glimpse of them.
“Have you heard?” one of the older people said while you were spending time helping them with tasks, “Poor Hanaki’s dad went out to sea a few days ago for fishing and never returned.”
“Oh really?” Another elder said, “It must be because of those mermaids. Aiya, you should not fish at night these days. It’s too dangerous.” The elder proceeded to face you.
“(Name), please remember, do not go out to the sea at night, mermaids are wicked. Don’t fall for their charms… The next thing you know…you’ll…you’ll”
“Don’t worry, grannie,” you interrupted, eyes full of fondness, smiling at how much they care about you.
“I won’t.” You swallowed a bitter lie. You knew they cared a lot about you, and would be very sorrowful if you were to be gone, yet the feeling of curiosity ate you up inside. You’d rather meet your end than not know anything or see a mermaid at all.
You planned on sneaking out at night quietly and going to the sea to hopefully see the mermaid. You’ve rented a boat, which you’ll use to go to sea during nightfall. You waited a few days after that conversation, a little bitterness still remaining in your mouth.
You thought of tying yourself to the boat you’ve rented during your quest, in such a case that the mermaid will drag you down to the sea, the buoyancy of the boat might be able to help you stay afloat unconsciously, while you’re in a daze. Hopefully.
The night you’ve waited for finally arrived, and you quickly snuck out through your bedroom window while all your family members were still deep in their slumber. You brought your notebook with you, so you could at least take note of what happened or try to draw what the mermaids looked like. All the mermaids in the books you’ve read have no definite appearance—one looked like a half-human half-fish, the other looked like a sea cow, and many other various illustrations in the book left you even more confused. For once, if you can actually see them, you’re lucky, there might be a huge possibility that you won’t see a mermaid at all.
Out of excitement and a tint of fear, you warily got on the boat, tied your wrist tightly to it using a rope, and paddled your way out into the sea with two oars. A little lamp illuminated your boat and the ocean blue surrounding you.
You kept on rowing and rowing until you were far from the shore.
---------------------------
This is it. You've arrived, your plan to sneak out finally worked. You are now floating on the boat in the middle of the sea. The waves are calm. You are finally here! Congratulations!
...
...
Now what.
You pondered on the boat, you've only planned this far. Will you just sit idly? Will you just wait for a few minutes and then return? Should you go back after a few hours? Or should you go back when the sun has risen?
While in your pondering state, you suddenly caught a glimpse of something moving in the waves. White scales reflecting the moonlight—only a little part of it is shown over the surface, however, before quickly disappearing back into the water.
You swore you saw something in the water; it couldn't be your eyes playing tricks on you, right? That might be the mermaid you were seeking.
You look out of your boat to see a quick shadow underneath it; it's as if something had swum under it. Your heart beat out of your chest, and you couldn't contain your excitement. Finally, after all that anticipation, you might be able to see it.
You stuck your hand out of the boat into the water, hoping that the creature you saw just now would appear again. You let your hand rest idly until your hand suddenly touched something smooth in a glimpse. It must be it; you're so sure of it. This must be a mermaid.
You then got up from sitting down and perched yourself on the edge of the boat, ducking down near the water so you could see the mermaid. You looked down under the water, letting your head get closer to the surface of the water. When you did so, you suddenly saw eyes looking back at you.
You got so taken aback that you suddenly sat back on the boat out of instinct. After calming yourself down for a few seconds, you perch half your body on the edge of the boat again. There you see it—those eyes that spooked you. You stare at those eyes for a long time; how can you not?
Those eyes—those beautiful scarlet eyes—those radiant and stunning eyes. Those eyes reminded you of the sunset—a view from the mountains. The red sun that affected the clouds in such a way made the skies behind it beautiful gradients of red, orange, and yellow, with pink too. Eyes that you can simply drown in.
“H-Hello,” you whispered. You finally understood how some sailors could get hypnotized easily. They were so ethereal, after all.
The mermaid rose from its position to reveal its head above the surface of the water. You rose back and ended up with your knees on the boat and your hands on the edge of the ship instead of bowing down.
You finally got to see it—a mermaid’s feature. You noticed the mermaid’s platinum blonde hair with a red streak on it.
“H-hi,” you spoke again, still unable to process the fact that you just saw a mermaid,”c-can you understand me?”
The mermaid nodded. It held out its hand, expecting you to take it.
“U-uh, I can’t…”
The mermaid perked up and tilted its head sideways.
“I.. I can’t just go with you,” you continued, “I… I can’t. I’m sorry, I should return now.”
The mermaid stared at you.
“Thank you for this, but I should return now,” you said to the mermaid, hoping it would understand and let you go.
Unexpectedly, the mermaid closed its eyes and nodded. It returned to the waters and swam away, disappearing into the darkness.
You watched as the mermaid swam away…
What. was. that.
You saw it. You actually saw a mermaid and interacted with it. Now what. Do you just return home? Just like that? Tell everyone? Keep it a secret? You don’t know.
Oh, how you wish you could see it again.
You paddled your way back to the shore. It seemed like the skies were still dark. All of a sudden, something tilted your boat; luckily, you held on to it out of instinct. However, whatever tilted your boat knew how resilient you are, and tilted it again with full force, flipping the boat upside down.
Crap. The light in the boat was gone. You didn’t manage to see whatever tilted your boat. You are now alone in the darkness, with whatever is lurking in the water preying on your defenseless self. It is only a matter of a few seconds before it might strike you and end your life.
You quickly tried to tilt the boat again, pushing as hard as you could while anxiety was in your spine, urging you to be faster in whatever you were doing. Fear strikes you like lightning. You panicked. You tried to calm down, but it's hard to do so in your state. At this point, you just hoped that whatever was in the water would end you in a quick, painless way.
In your attempt to get above the surface of the water to be able to breathe while also trying to tilt your boat, something held a firm grasp on your ankle and tried to pull you down all of a sudden. You panicked even more. You tried to shake your ankle to be able to get yourself free, but whatever pulled your leg was strong and pulled you further. The only thing saving you was the rope you tied yourself to your boat with, which kept you from being pulled down easily. However, that wasn’t enough. The rope tied to the boat did keep you from being pulled down, but it couldn’t keep your body, or at least your head, above the water, which made you unable to breathe at all.
You thought of how this would not have happened if it weren’t for your dumb curiosity. You would be sleeping comfortably in your bed right now. You would’ve still been surrounded by the warmth of not only your family but also your community. You gave up and let your life end this way—drowned in the cold, dark sea. With no one witnessing your death and no one knowing where you went off, there was no one to hold you in your last moments.
You were about to close your eyes, accepting your tragic fate, when something suddenly carried you in a bridal-style manner. You were shocked; you were suddenly being carried by something, while water seemed to flow past your face in a quick manner. You also realized that the rope you attached to the boat was cut. Probably by this savior of yours. You tried to look at whoever saved you, but the water that flowed past your face blinded your vision; you could only see glimpses of shining white before closing your eyes to protect your eyes from the sea water.
Before you knew it, you were placed on a rock in the middle of the sea. You gasped, internally very relieved that you got to breathe air again. You coughed out the water from your lungs. You took quick breaths in and out until you finally calmed down.
After a few minutes, you finally looked at the thing that saved you, a little relieved that it still stayed after a few minutes. It may be dark, but luckily the sky was clear enough to be able to at least illuminate your savior, even if it was just a little.
You managed to make out its features as it sat on the same rock as you. Platinum blonde hair with a red streak. Scarlet-red eyes. And a white tail with red fins that reflected off the moonlight in a very ethereal way.
“You were that mermaid!” you gasped. You were shocked that your savior was the mermaid you met moments ago. You couldn’t believe it. Mermaids, who were known as evil, were known to kill fishermen, vicious predators. A mermaid… just saved you?
The mermaid looked at you curiously.
“T-thank you,” you said, “thank you so much for saving me back then. I would've—you know—died if you weren’t there to save me.”
The mermaid smiled back. It offered you something that seemed like something wrapped in kelp, urging you to eat it.
You looked at it, then you looked at the mermaid.
“You want me to eat… this?”
The mermaid nodded.
You were hesitant, obviously, but you’ve gained a little trust after this mermaid just saved your life. You took the pebble-sized thing wrapped in kelp and proceeded to eat it. It tasted salty and bitter, but you could endure it.
You looked at the mermaid again, giving it a questioning look about why it wanted you to eat the kelp-covered thing. It opened its mouth and spoke in a calming voice. You were shocked. It can talk? And you could understand it??
“That thing you just ate. It allows you to be able to understand me,” the mermaid said. “Are you okay? Are you feeling better now?” The mermaid questioned, raising his webbed hands and rested it upon your shoulder.
You’re a bit flustered by its gesture but covered it by nodding.
“Good,” he smiled, his eyes filled with softness and relief. He moved his hand up and rested his hand on your face, caressing your cheeks softly. After a few seconds, he finally retracted his hands slowly and spoke, a smile still etched on his face.
“We need to return you back home; the sea is not a safe place.”
“A-ah, right…”
“Is there something wrong?”
“Nope. Nothing at all.” (But there IS something wrong, you thought, ‘I don’t want to part from you…” You internally frowned. Being the mature person  you are, you internally sighed and emotionally prepared yourself for departing with him.)
“However,” you continued, “do you happen to know what those things that dragged me down were?”
“Oh? Those things were actually… Mermaids too…” The mermaid sighed, “You cannot just think of mermaids as having one personality, as there are many different types of them. There are some who think of humans as prey too, or some who are hostile to other creatures, especially humans. Or some who are just fine with them, who wanted to help them, who are… curious about them, and who wanted to know them better.
“Ah… So, it’s the same as humans too, then,” you smiled.
“Same like… humans?”
“Yea! You can’t just assume all humans are evil, or all humans are kind, as there are many humans with different personalities and attitudes and different points of view on different things. I understand your kind’s hostility toward humans, though. We can be… terrible jerks.”
The mermaid chuckled (and how adorable the sound was), “I am sorry on behalf of my kind too. Who knew humans and mermaids could be so similar?”
“Haha yeah...” you replied, “Oh! I forgot! I never caught your name!”
“Kazuha. I go by many names yet, Kazuha... is what you can call me,” Kazuha smiled, “Pray tell, what name do they bestow upon this beautiful soul right in front of me?”
“(N-name).”
“Hmm. A beautiful name for a beautiful person, indeed.”
“You have a beautiful name yourself too, fitting for a charming person like you.”
Kazuha chuckled, if the night wasn’t so dark you would’ve seen the pink tint on his cheeks.
“We- You should go back. Like I said, the sea is not safe after all, especially at this time of the day.”
“Right…How am I supposed to go home? I think we lost my boat.”
Kazuha sighed, “True… We couldn’t return, however, as the tides were too strong for me to handle…”
There was a moment of silence between you two as you both pondered what to do.
“I can carry you again… We can wait until the tides have calmed down a bit and quickly swim to the shore.”
“Are you sure? I don’t want to trouble you even further.”
Kazuha chuckled, “Of course not. You didn’t inconvenience me at all, darling.”
(AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA THIS MAN WILL BE THE END OF MEEEEE)
“O-oh, then I’m fine with that idea,” you replied, feeling flustered, “What if I held on to you from behind instead?”
“Hm.. Alright. But please hang on tight. I would never want you to fall, my dear.”
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Both of you waited until the tides had calmed down. While waiting, both of you conversed in conversations about several topics to pass the time. It started from questions regarding humans and mermaids, to personal topics about both of you.
You learned that he longed to become a human, to be able to see the wonders of the world he heard from other mermaids or humans he’s eavesdropped on. He wanted to wander the world, see its beautiful sights and views, and experience the thrills of the world. You could only smile at his dreams.
After a while, the tides had finally started to reduce their temper, and you started to get ready to go to the shore. Kazuha swam back towards the surface with you behind him, arms wrapped around his neck, careful not to choke or harm him. You could only try so hard to hide the rapid beating of your heart at being this close to him.
After a long while, you finally managed to return to the shore. Kazuha placed you on a dock. It was already dawn at that time, so you could already see Kazuha nicely in the dim lighting.
You laid on the edge of the dock, looking down, as Kazuha was looking up at you from the water.
You both smiled at each other. After a few seconds, you finally decided to leave, something inside you urged to quickly return to your home, not wanting your parents to notice you were gone.
A thought popped up in your head. You moved forward, reached your head down closer to Kazuha, and quickly pecked his forehead. You quickly stood up, very flustered and shouted,
“Thank you, Kazuha… Till we meet again! Love you!”
You ran back to your home and sneaked back into your room.
Meanwhile, Kazuha just froze on that spot, feeling very flustered as well.
His cheeks heated up at your actions. There was a warm spot on his forehead where your lips were, he touched his forehead and rested his hand there, smiling softly like an idiot.
“Till we meet again… (name)...”
A/n: Thank you so much for reading until the end! Hope you enjoyed it :) I'm working on my writing skills so if you have any criticisms, feel free to comment it.
again, thank you so much have a nice day/night :DDD

CHILDE/TARTAGLIA
Aka Ajax
yearnings
Fluff
MAIN MASTERLIST | HYDRO MASTERLIST
requested by @groovyparadisestarlight on discord
.
Summary: long distance relationship with Childe.
Warnings? Childe ofc.
Contains Hu Tao, a mention of Zhongli, and Childe of course!
Also you get to pick the traveler!
Hu Tao trailer spoilers!
Tumblr media
Boy you are glad you aren’t in Snezhnaya. With freezing temperatures and frequent blizzards, you are happy in your house on the edge of Liyue, warm and snug.
It would be much better if your beloved, Childe, was here with you, as you two were basically never home. It was always walking around the city or out in the hills exploring.
You yearned for him so much.
But for now, it was just you quietly reading in your study when there was a knock at the door.
You stood to open it and there stood Hu Tao. Aka your boss and best friend.
“Hi (Y/N)” she waved with her usual mischievous smile, yet a voice of silk, “ready to go?”
You two had scheduled a small trip to go to Wuwang Hill to help spirits get to the other side, Zhongli would go with her, but he had other matters to attend to with a certain traveler, and someone has to keep an eye on the parlour.
Walking up the path up the Hill, you noticed that the distance got more blurred and more darker blue lights started to appear in the air, dancing slowly around you and Hu Tao as you ventured deeper. Throughout your walk, you had heard someone or something walk behind you two, but every time you looked back, you saw nothing.
But you soon found out what it was when you two were in the middle of the ritual, when you both stood around the big flame, people approached you. Fatui agents.
“Order of duality, impermanence of fate, I raise this butterfly to guide thee” she said facing them flames with her palms together, you standing to the side of her, your palms together too. You both turned to see the agents, “aiya, so many droll people.”
“Fatui. Not even worth the tease” she said as she summoned her already burning polearm beside her, and you, your Cryo Frostbearer catalyst, ready to freeze anything at the first touch, “guess we’ll need to go send you off ourselves!”
Farewell.
Which was painful to some. Burns. Hard ice burns. Steam from the fire and ice.
Ouch.
Zombie?
And just as they ran away…
“See you on the other side” Hu Tao waved after letting her ghost go with a cheeky grin, letting it fly off like a balloon.
Someone came walking over, with a small… floating companion, who hid behind them as the Fatui ran past them, not bothering with the confrontation.
You and Hu Tao cleaned up what was left when you were approached by the mysterious figures.
They introduced themselves as (Aether/Lumine) and Paimon. Who came baring a letter.
For you.
You?
Opening the letter carelessly, mind you it had been sealed with a certain wax seal. One that only you were familiar with. Your beloved.
“Paimon had a look at the seal but can’t quite put her finger on it, it looks… fancy to Paimon, but also familiar” she said putting her hand on her chin, thinking, she sighed and shook her head, “Paimon can’t think. This place is too spooky.”
Reading it, you gasped, abruptly saying goodbye to Hu Tao, the Traveler and the floating food, and ran back to Liyue.
Back in Liyue you ran back to your house with the letter still in hand, you went to unlock the door, but it was open… but that didn’t cross you mind as you just walked in.
And there he was. Your beloved Ajax.
You smiled as he stood up and opened his arms, you ran over to him and he hugged you tightly yet so lightly, fearing if you would break.
“Моя милая глазурь Лили” he smiled kissing the top of your head, “I missed you so much.”
“I missed you too, Ajax” you smiled, holding his hands.
Oh how you yearned for this.
the ending made me think of this song.
——
So… I didn’t expect it to go like this. And I wish I had more for the end. But yeah. Hope you liked it~ ehe~

Xiantober 2023 - Day 13: Inventor!Xian
Word Count: 925 Pairing: Wangxian Tags: Inventor Wei Ying, re-living memories
Wei Ying grunted softly as he moved, careful and deliberate. He couldn’t deny the joy he felt, the closer he got to completion. Nothing would ever compare to this. No words could describe how he truly felt. His body trembled lightly at the thought, close, so close!
“Yes!” He shouted, throwing his hands into the air as he stepped back, looking at his handiwork. “Oh my god, oh my god.” He bounced around excitedly, pumping his fist a few times in joy. “Whooo! Okay, okay, reel it in, Wei Ying.” He smacked his hands to his cheeks. “Don’t get too excited, not yet. I gotta run the final tests!”
“Wei Ying?” Lan Zhan’s voice broke through his excitement as he entered the lab, gently shutting the door behind him and setting the tea and coffee down on the desk. “By the sounds of it, you’ve figured out the hardwiring issue?”
“Lan Zhan! Yes! You’re just in time for the final test–” He groaned happily as the smell of coffee hit him. “Oh my god you’re my favorite~”
The other chuckled softly and picked the coffee back up before approaching the other, handing it over and accepting a sweet kiss as payment. “I would hope so. Do you think it’s going to work this time?”
“I do!” He took a sip of the coffee and groaned happily before he looked at the machine in front of him. “I’ve been working on this for three years, and I know that’s nothing compared to what it takes some people to invent things, but this…”
“It has given you problem after problem, I know.” Lan Zhan nodded, kissing Wei Ying on the forehead before he pulled back and gestured. “Why not run the test now, I am eager to see.”
Wei Ying nodded a little and hurried to the machine and grabbed the attachments. A few sticky pads were placed very carefully before he attached the needed wires and sat down. It only took a few moments for him to get the machine running and putting in the exact coordinates before his invention whirred to life, a soft thrum that drowned into the background as the screen in front of them flickered to life.
As the image began to clear, Wei Ying quickly pressed the record button on his machine and both men turned their attention to the now fully visible image, an image from Wei Ying’s point of view..
”Ah, this is so nerve wracking.” The plum trees around them were in full bloom as he carefully looked around, though the sun was setting and it was getting harder to see. “It’s so pretty…” He mumbled, “Aiya, Lan Zhan, you can’t just leave me such a cryptic note and * not * tell me exactly where you are.” He huffed, though his voice held nothing but excitement.
Wei Ying moved through the trees, taking in the beautiful sights around him until the trees finally began to separate, giving way to a pretty field that was decorated with hundreds of fairy lights. All around the field were Wei Ying’s closest friends and family. His parents, the Jiangs, the Nies, the Lans, and even the Jins. All of them were holding floating lanterns that they let go of as Wei Ying entered the field.
Dead center in front of Wei Ying, was Lan Zhan, down on one knee with a beautiful ring in hand. Wei Ying’s breath hitched and his hand flew to his mouth. “Lan Zhan…?”
”Wei Ying, we’ve known each other since we were young. We’ve been close for as long as I can remember, and I have been in love with you since day one. You are my special someone, my other half, the reason I exist. I don’t want to go another day without you. Will you marry me?”
Instantly, Wei Ying threw himself into Lan Zhan’s arms, kissing him deeply as tears began to fall. “Yes! Yes!”
The image played as Wei Ying watched Lan Zhan slip the ring on his finger and then he turned off the machine, his cheeks flushed and his eyes misted with unshed tears, but he was smiling. He was so excited. It worked. It finally worked!
Now it was possible to replay someone’s memories and record them for future watching. But to see that special memory over again, to feel like he was reliving it, he wanted to cry and say yes all over again!
“It worked…”
Lan Zhan smiled, a soft, warm smile that was saved for rare occasions. He was so  proud of his husband. “It did.” Seeing the engagement through Wei Ying’s eyes was certainly a magical experience.
“Lan Zhan… Lan Zhan, it worked! I did it!” He pulled the wire off and threw his arms around him, burying his face in his chest. “This is going to change the world… I never could have done this without you… “
A soft huff came from Lan Zhan as he wrapped his arms around him. “You could have, but I am happy to have been able to support Wei Ying.”
“You fuddy-duddy. You do more than just support me.” He pulled back, giving Lan Zhan a soft kiss. “Let's get married again~”
Lan Zhan hummed, his hands dropping to Wei Ying’s ass. “Mn.”
Wei Ying threw his head back and laughed before he jumped, wrapping his legs and arms around his husband who was already prepared to catch him.
They could patent and advertise this magnificent machine later, right now, he had a husband to spoil for his hard work.

Hellooo!! ✨
Can I request a Xiao x GN!Reader where the reader is a metalhead?
Let me explain: I think Xiao is a pretty traditional Adeptus, he doesn't really like the changes that are happening in Liyue, and I think he listens almost only traditional ancient Liyuean music, so how about a fic where he discovers that the reader is a metalhead by going to a music festival in Liyue Harbor (he was forced by Zhongli because he wanted Xiao to take a break from his Yaksha work) and seeing the reader on stage playing electric guitar while singing in Growl and Screaming with their band?
I'm sorry if it's too long 😭

➤ Omg this request is so cute and just full on creative! Thank you for requesting this anon!! (Inspired a little by Aggretsuko!)
Tumblr media
Y/n’s pov;
Today was the day of Liyue’s music festival which held many concerts for different type of bands and songwriters as they would perform in front of a large crowd on the Jade Chamber. Ningguang was hosting such a thing after it being requested by so many people including you and your friend Xinyan.
“Woo hoo! Finally, the lady herself hosted such a thing, but I never thought she’d have it at the Jade Chamber!”
You chuckled, taking not of Xinyan’s worried expression as she peeked around the corner of the small stage walls and sighed.
“I don’t knoowww…there’s ‘lot of ‘em out there.”
“Don’t worry, Yan! Just play like as if it’s practice. Have fun and play to your heart’s content!” You patted her shoulder as you saw the flame in her eye reignite.
“Thanks. That’s just what I needed.. You better kick it out there, ya hear?”
“I will. Don’t worry!”
Xiao’s pov;
The last song was about to start as Xiao sat in his seat with Hu Tao and Zhongli. He was bored out of his mind, bouncing his leg up and down as he rested his chin on his palm.
“This is the last one?” He side eyed his master as he asked in a cold tone.
“Yes, and if I’m not mistaken, your friend, Y/n, should be performing.”
The Adeptus seemed to spring up as he then coughed into his fist, to act like he doesn’t care too much.
“I didn’t know they sing.”
Hu Tao giggled as she poked her cheek and sighed. “Aiya. He doesn’t know anything about them now does he.”
“Hah?”
“They don’t sing like these people do. They do a different type of genre of music.”
“Like?”
And so, the band walked on stage as your eyes caught Xiao’s. He felt his cheeks redden as he saw the outfit you were wearing. It was about the same as Xinyan’s and the rest of your group’s as he eyed the fishnets you were wearing and the tight leather jacket.
His jaw was left agape as you smiled at him before introducing your band and song name. Xiao tuned out everything as he admired how well you looked. Not just appearance wise though. He loved your smile as you got ready to open your mouth and…
SCREAM? Wait no. No no it wasn’t screaming. It was more of… what was it? Xiao covered his ears as he heard the first yell from you. The way you screamed your heart out touched him some how as he was only used to the soft sounds of the flute or guzheng. This… this was on another level as he felt goosebumps bloom on his skin as you and Xinyan’s guitar harmonized and boomed and echoed in his ears. Your smiling face as you continued your verses sent a small one to appear on Xiao’s as he sat up straight and listened carefully to each word you were saying, even if it was a little difficult to understand due to the screaming noises.
By the time your performance had ended. Zhongli turned to look at Xiao as he was sipping his tea and smiled. “Would you like to go back to work or greet Y/n and their friends?”
Xiao didn’t hesitate to say he wanted to wait for you as he waited at in his seat for you to appear with the rest of your band.
“Hello!! I’m so glad you all could make it!” You ran up to Hu Tao and hugged her, smiling as you nodded toward Zhongli and Xiao?
“I wasn’t expecting you’d come, Xiao.” Your smile seemed to brighten as Xiao nodded, ears still ringing and caught in a daze as he kept checking you out. It may seem creepy but yeah, Xiao wouldn’t stop admiring you.
“Something wrong, Adeptus Xiao?” Xinyan crossed her arms, eyeing the zoned out Xiao before he shook his head and dismissed her.
“No. Your performance was… unique.” Was all he said before giving you one last look in the eyes, before vanishing into thin air.
Tumblr media
You’ve reached the end!!
AAAAA I loved writing this so much!! Sure, it’s like 2am, but I have priorities B)
Anywho! I hope you enjoyed Anon and stay hydrated, my darlings <3

Sucker for you
First Chapter, AO3
Time went on like this, with Shadow dutifully going through his papers and checking on the security systems while trying to not fall unconscious, and with Sonic, who had given up on finding the ebony´s rock, just… sat on the floor while muttering and venting about whatever came to his mind, subjects changing way too fast for Shadow to even try to keep up.
So, he let it be.
They both were on with their own things, and if Sonic´s voice broke down somewhere in the middle, or if his words stopped making sense, no one spared it a thought. And Sonic liked it like that, he didn’t feel concerned with Shadow´s silence, nor did he feel the others glare stuck on his neck.
There was no question, no urging. Just…company.
There was just companionship.
He never thought he would find himself comfortable with silence ever again. The contrary, more like it.
And yet…here he was! Crumbled, and hid from sight as he…babbled endlessly, apparently.
Aiya, what a heroic figure he cut, wasn’t it?
Damn it.
Fuck!
Nimble hands teared open his precious treat, stuffing pocky after pocky on his mouth and chewing on them more aggressively than necessary, the crunching noise actually helpful to calm him down.
He was… angry, maybe. It really wasn’t a feeling he felt comfortable with, but one he learned that he couldn’t erase from his heart forever no matter what he tried.
He was angry with himself, not that it was a new situation he had never encountered and yet… He felt stupid.
And useless.
And guilty.
And angry again, all over.
He was angry at...everything, it felt. At himself, at Eggman, at Infinite, at Shadow, the very Freedom fighters, Amy, Knuckles… hell, he even felt it against Tails, raging feelings of pure nonsense stirring on his chest every single time he heard about the young fox´s actions while he was gone.
He felt angry, in a way he really didn’t understand.
He was afraid. Simple, isn’t it?
But do tell, who wants a hero that is afraid? Who wants a hero that is unsure? Or bitter?
Real?
Somedays, when he woke up, it was like a giant vacuum cleaner had sucked him dry during the night, leaving him…empty, and weak. Without strength, or willpower to actually stand up and face the day.
Somedays, when he looked around, all he could find were pity stares and concerned, scared faces all looking at him as if afraid he was going to suddenly break down, as if they knew him better than anyone else, or alternatively, as if they were just waiting for the right moment to attack.
Waiting for him to stumble so they could butter up some.
He felt sick standing among them.
He felt sick watching Tails break down and wake up crying, denying him the chance to help.
He felt sick knowing the pain he made his loved ones go through. The way they dealt with his disappearance, as well.
He felt like dying when watching the people constantly trying to tear off each another, as if his constants efforts to make it better for everyone were of no importance.
In a way, sometimes, he felt done.
Discouraged, completely.
Tired.
Disappointed on the very people he tried so hard to help.
Sonic felt like stepping down, like taking a breather, and going away, just for a little short while, longing for healing, for getting himself together, once again, as he was constantly hearing he should do.
He wanted to.
But he knew he couldn’t.
He couldn’t do that to the others, to Amy, or Knuckles, or hell, even Shadow could fit into that list now, in some sort of screwed view.
Even if he wanted, he couldn’t drift away into a pleasant oblivion.
He wouldn’t forgive himself, either.
He… still felt wrong. No matter how many times he went through the same notions, the answers he got were always the same; This was the best course of action, no matter how much it hurt, how wrong and tired and hurt it made him feel!
He was needed, no matter how much it stung.
His family needed him, his world needed him, even if they sometimes acted a tad ungrateful towards his sacrifices to kept them all safe.
And that hurt… He knew it. Fuck, he was so acquainted with it. It wasn’t going to go away during a long, long time, and staying here he was at risk of it getting worse… and yet, at the same time, he wasn’t going to let anyone else kill themselves off just to cover his hide.
Even less when they had gone through so many problems to get him back, and were still holding onto his arms as if afraid he would suddenly disappear, no matter how annoyed that feeling sometimes made him felt.
Not when Tails still needed him so.
Besides he wasn’t alone, now…
Those times were so long ago, it almost felt like it never ever happened to begin with.
In a weird way, he knew… he knew he wasn’t alone.
He… he thought that maybe, if he were to ask for it, certainly they would be willing to support him!  He kinda knew it.
It just felt so hard to try and reach out a hand… Even more because there was a chance of them actually helping him, and he didn’t know how to deal with that possibility.
The words always got caught on his throat, and he was unable to utter the smaller of sentences.
It hurt so badly it was almost stupid, always dashing away with a smile to wipe out the sweat on his brow.
Couldn’t they see? Didn’t they know?
A sigh left his mouth, his body slumping forward as his hands buried themselves on his face, about to start tugging on his quills.
How to say?
How could he?
Where to start?
He was almost helpless, in that sense.
Since when is asking for help such a difficult process?
His grip slackened, his whole body just…sagging, like a puppet that got it strings cut, powerless.
Really. It wasn’t a good look on such an otherwise lively hedgehog.
Almost scary, to say the truth.
One of his (Sonic.) hands reached backwards in a try to stabilize his posture just a tad more, feeling immensely startled at realizing there was something under his fingers.
Bringing it to his face, he wondered where could have such a heavy and strange rock suddenly appear on here…
It can’t be!
Ay, it was true!
He totally forgot about searching for Shadow´s rock!!!
During all this time, the bitch was always behind him?
Oh fuck him!
Such a sudden burst of energy, who can really blame him for jumping high while hollering, ´´Found it! ´´ with all the happiness and eagerness of a lil husky? Σ(ノ°▽°)ノ
Mhhhhhh…
Oh yes!
Shadow could.
The agent, that during Sonic´s sudden wish to monologue with a fading voice, that, well, finally ended being no more than a lulling white noise in the spacious room, had started to nod off while staring at a spot on the laptop on his right… yeah.
Shadow scrambled into a more alert position, not without, of course, first yelping and hitting his knee quite harshly against the ´´desk´´ with a loud bang.
“…Fuck.” how he managed to not scream that was beyond Sonic.
How he would manage to survive the night was also beyond Sonic…
Uh.
Come to think about it, He never said that he wanted to die, now did he?
Just a small break would have been fine, all right?! there is no need to be so-so through!
That also didn’t mean a break for a broken bone! Or a concussion!
Aw shit!
Shadow´s shoulders were freaking shaking! He was so dead!
Was that red?!
How was this fair?!?!
With a totally manly, totally serious and respect-inspiring squeak of his own, he immediately threw himself at the ground at noticing the subtle movement on Shadow´s hand, fearing the heat of a Chaos spear on such a close distance.
It never came, however.
The heavy hit of a book, thought, certainly did.
“Ow!” Sonic complained loudly at getting hit on the face. Again. discarding the problematic rock at a side, because really, how could such a small thing cause that many incidents? He picked up the book and got back on his feet, glaring at a snickering dark hedgehog with all the heat he could muster.
Sonic really didn’t know what to tell, once everything Shadow did was laugh with less restrain, and even louder at his expense…
He was terrifying, all right?!ヾ(´゚Д゚`;)ゝ
He surely scared Shadow into a breakdown, that was why the brooding hedgehog suddenly remembered how to laugh so freely anew! There was no other option!
He got scared into madness!
This was humiliating, ah. His heart burned with shame.
“Finished yet?” the other one was curled on his seat, laughter now faded into small, lazy, scattered giggles.
“Just a sec.” Shadow mumbled, trying to maintain his usual blank face as he looked up, however, he barely managed to stare straight at Sonic face for 3 seconds before bursting into renewed laugher.
Sonic sighed, arms dropping at his sides in a defeated and somewhat irked face; He really didn’t enjoy being ignored right now!  He tapped his fingers, trying to keep his patience together for a bit longer until he found he couldn’t stay quiet anymore, dashing to Shadow´s side to flicker the other in his forehead, a deeply marked scowl firm on his face.
Shadow almost choked with his snort.
Sorry, sorry, sorry. He really couldn’t take Sonic seriously anymore…
“Oh come on!”  the speedster´s hands were raised and then brought upon his shoulders, giving him time enough to block him had he wished to avoid the contact, and, after he was sure his touch wasn’t rejected, he started to shake the sleep deprived hedgehog-no. both were sleep deprived hedgehogs at this point of time… He viciously shook the hybrid with a careless attitude, annoyed. “Won’t you give me any face? What´s up with you today? Ah? Are you looking for death at this time of the night?
Even while being flung around like a weightless maraca, Shadow just kept a light smile on his face, unwavering even on Sonic´s manic and painfully obvious faked fury. Alas, even some indulgence could be seen in the small shine of his red eyes, totally different from his habitual scowl or pokerfaced expression. He was looking at Sonic as if he was being a naughty child…
Obviously, the one here being naughty wasn’t Sonic! Shadow was the one who forgot his character settings way too badly!
He had come to find that an expressionless Shadow wasn’t as irritating as this clearly taunting smile…
“Stop with that expression! You are creeping me! Creeping me! Too weird, stop it, ah!” He cried somewhat helplessly, a final burst of speedy shaking taking place.
Shadow just huffed, chuckling lowly.  “Stomping your feet like a little child really isn’t helping your case, you know?”
Sonic: Q.Q
“Shut up!”
“Don’t feel like it.”
“Oh, okay. You´re infuriating did you know?!”
“Such big words, don’t make your poor brain overwork itself.” Shadow smiled wider, and his fangs glinted, now bared. “I think I can see the smoke.”
“…I hate you so much.”
“Likewise! “
“oh man, you aren’t fun at all.” Sonic mumbled dejectedly, a small pout on his face as he turned away, siting on Shadow´s desk and picking up the rock to inspect it…immediately leaving it down and picking up a random report at realizing it was some smooth, cold, and dark skull.
He didn’t want to think about that hitting him in the nose anymore. Nope sir!
The dark hedgehog just sighed, helplessly spreading his arms as he answered; “I am truly not the one making you stay, yet you insult me in this way. What a tick face.”
Sonic would have spat old blood on Shadow´s face.
Shameless!
Who had turn his brooding friend into a shameless slag?! Sonic just wanted to talk you can calmly come forward!!!

Thank god Yomenaido bookstore was open today. It was his girlfriend's birthday today and he couldn't meet her at Aiya's empty-handed, aside from paying for an extra large beef bowl and anything else her enormous appetite craved. It was all on him. He still had quite a lot of money left from last year.
Yu entered the store and browsed through the various books lined up until he reached the manga section. Now, given Chie's bubbly personality, it only made logical sense to pick something adventurous and fun to read through. Finally, after a few minutes of careful consideration, he found one: Akame Ga Kill, featuring a female protagonist with a strong sense of justice.
He's sure that she will at least find it enjoyable. He paid for it in no time, asked the clerk to wrap it up nicely, and quickly made his way to the Chinese restaurant where it seems that she best him to it.
"Sorry I'm late." He looked apologetic for a moment and sat down beside her, planting a quick peck on her cheek. "Happy birthday, honey bun. I'm treating you today and I also got you something nice to read." He handed over the mystery book with a smile. "It's a long one, but I hope it's to your taste."
Somehow, Inaba's well-known steak skewer and Topsicle combo tasted much better with it being her birthday. Tough, chewy meat combined with the sweet, icy flavors made for one very happy brunette. Her second lunch was complete, and after waving goodbye to the counter clerk Chie made her next pitstop...right next door. Aiya's couldn't be missed on this important day, and this time she expected a guest to accompany her for this meal.
Although...she didn't see a familiar grey bowl-cut hair anywhere inside, not that many people were currently lounging or eating up their fill of noodles. By the time dinner came around, the scenery would drastically change. Nevertheless, she asked the teenage waitress for a two-person table, then patiently sat with her line of sight in perfect view of the door. He didn't forget their meetup. Yu wasn't like that. Friends and family always came first for him. Perhaps he was putting the finishing touches on his birthday gift to her?
Tumblr media
Whatever the case, the brunette hunkered down and kept herself preoccupied browsing the presents in her current stash. Of course, she took a few nibbles of some store-bought sweets and homemade candies from the other shops in the area, just to snack on in preparation for her third lunch. It's after she finished a piece of mochi her chocolate brown eyes casted towards the doorway, hearing the little bell sounded the arrival of her wonderful boyfriend.
"Over heeeere!!" Her shouts carried over the customers' heads and the clattering sounds of a working kitchen, just to get his attention. Once he meandered towards the table Chie rose up quickly to embrace him tightly, complete with an eager smile and light giggle. "My sweet, sweet kitty is finally here, heehee~. Don't feel bad about being late, I was already checkin' out some of the swag I got from Yosuke." She pressed her lips against his cheek, returning his affection in kind and releasing her tight hold. "And I see you brought me something too, riiiiiiiight?" It's snatched away already, paper flying in every direction since someone couldn't hold their excitement in much longer. Friend gifts were special, but a boyfriend gift had that little extra bit of love in it.
Tumblr media
"Oooooooooh, I've heard of this one before...but I never had the chance to start reading it." Chie didn't read too far into the pages, only briefly skimming the first chapter then setting it aside. It's a thoughtful gift, and one fitting the brunette's own tastes too. "Maybe I'll start reading it tonight after we party! Heehee~! I'm glad you wanted to spend some time with just me today, though." Oh she couldn't help herself! Screw sitting across from him!
Chie took the seat aside Yu, immediately locking lips with the boy and letting her arms drape over his shoulders. Did they make a bit of a scene? Ah, she didn't care! "I love you, sooooo so so much, you know? I probably told you that a zillion times now but...it's true." Her nose briefly brushed against his, and she let their foreheads gently rub together.
Tumblr media
"I love you a whoooooole lot. You being here has already made this birthday the best I can ask for..."

Zhong Li ; sharing tea and memories
Even though nothing changed the fact that the leaves from your home brewed for much better tea, Liyue was a sure enough good competitor - specifically the Yanshang Teahouse.
The rich aroma of fine quality tea quickly enticed you to start working in here; that's how things were run in the current world - you must work at any case and that people have long since made up "currency" (you still struggle with this concept sometimes).
With you new and squishy little body, you couldn't do much else then bring cups to and from the tables, but it gave you an excuse to smell the tea some more and the Teahouse owners seemed a sweet couple, so it was acceptable.
But...
"Oh? Who's this adorable bunny?"
"Careful not to trip! Such small feet you have!"
"Aiya! So cute! Thank you little one! Jie-jie promises to bring you some delicious candy next time!"
Everyone was treating you like a child.
To be fair, you did look like one. With short limbs and squishy cheeks, slightly red with youthful eagerness. Physical activities seemed 10x hard too; all in all, you did not miss being this small - last time you were like this was when you were born tens of thousands of years ago.
The worst thing about it was that no one took your requests seriously.
You wanted to learn about Liyue's history - you've been sleeping practically the whole time it was created, so you were clueless about everything. But everyone you asked either told you folklore stories for kids or gave you a picture book that explained nothing (though Liyuen style of art was quite beautiful).
One day, on a busy evening, your eyes caught something different - an adeptus. Sure, you saw some adepti come down for a drink or two from time to time, but this one was extraordinary.
This adeptus had an aura of divinity achieved by experiences of thousands of years - a retired god perhaps? - your mind supplied. Calm, knowing amber eyes and neat, mature attire.
That was your ticket to knowledge.
So you swiped the order from another waiter and went to deliver the Misty Garden tea - strong aroma with caramel, certainly someone with a good tea taste.
You tried not to look funny with your tiny steps as you approached the table on the west ting overlooking almost all of Liyue. The magnificent vermillion color of the local styled ting and all the pavilion construction was beautiful against the golden layers of the nation.
The adeptus looked down at your much smaller human form and smiled politely "Hello, thank you for bringing me my tea" he says and takes the porcelain teapot and cup set off the tray.
You watch him for a little, observing for any signs of him wanting to be alone; he busies himself with inhaling the sweet aroma instead. Finally, you ask "Can I sit with you for a bit?"
The adeptus is surprised, but doesn't seem perplexed about the idea. "I don't see why not" he answers after a bit, he motions at the other seat across from him and encourages you to join him.
Both of you seem to be in a comfortable silence as he seems to be patiently waiting for you to break it. Though you're content in just listening to the bustle of the city, after so many years of silence, you can't let this opportunity slip between your fingertips.
"May I know your name?"
"Of course. I go by Zhong Li"
"I see, Zhong Li, I have a small request."
"Oh? And what would that be?"
"Since you are an adeptus, I was wondering if you were knowledgeable in Liyue's history."
If you knew about anything, it's that adepti appreciated straightforwardness - not having any time for meaningless pleasantries that humans deemed necessary for everyday life.
The said adeptus quickly analyzed what was going on, put his teacup back down and nodded with a pleased smile "I would say I'm quite proficient."
"I have just come to Liyue a little ago, I know not of its history and everyone treats me like someone who can only understand simple pictures." you said, somehow keeping your calm, despite being frustrated to no end "So I ask of you to please, share your memories"
And that is how an alliance started between two retired gods. One brought expensive tea to the funeral parlor down the street, the other talked about his vast memories of the very nation they drank their aromatic delicacy.
Gaining a person that can share the memory.
Childe ; giving advice from ancient times
As a god, before achieving glory, you had survived in most horrid conditions. Danger looming over you at any corner, withstanding the harshest of winds and the darkest of nights. You had gone numb to many uncomfortable factors like the cold and the dark long, long ago.
And yet, this small human body was not getting the hint.
You woke up from your eternal slumber couple of days ago, shaking uncontrollably in a collapsed hut, not being able to keep your teeth from chattering. Interestingly, humans bodies turn bluish when cold enough, but you couldn't bring yourself to be fascinated by the revelation as you were hours away from death.
Thankfully, after dragging your feet around the vast forest (not even trying to hunt in this condition), someone found you. This person turned out to be a young man, he looked like a fledgling barely out of the nest, yet he seemed to be commanding people all around and giving them orders.
He immediately picked you up from the cold ground, your numb feet finally off the snowy terrain. The young man wrapped you up in some kind of warm fur and assured you that everything would now be okay - it was admirable, how a person, who you considered a kid, logically, had so much protectiveness over a stranger child. Was this how all humans behaved?
"Don't worry okay? I'll get you warm and snug in no time!" he tried to rub your cold hands to warm them up as he rode his horse towards somewhere.
The clicking of the saddle additions and the hooves on the stony ground, where snow did not manage to cover enough to muffle the iron.
Your voice was hoarse and your throat felt painful when you spoke, but you were glad to find your voice again (though, this small and squeaky thing could never be your true voice); you needed to assure this kid that you knew you were somewhat safe now - being in a child form really has the benefits of people being kinder, you knew that way before all this.
"It's okay, I will be fine" your confidence seemed to have a positive effect as the young man calmed down a bit and continued to ride at a high speed while holding you securely in the thick makeshift blanket.
Wherever it was that he took you, it was echo-y. It reminded tiny bit of your own chambers that existed eons ago, sophisticated details and shiny gems littered all around - was this a young lord? Or a diplomat perhaps?
You found thinking hard as unconsciousness slowly took hold of your weak body. But, you jolted into full awareness when your legs were submerged in a tub of warm water - oh, that felt nice. So that was what humans did to aid frostbite... or was that something else?
"I know, I know! You hate this, but otherwise your legs will fall off!" the young man was trying to shush a child that has not even protested - you'd be a fool to not to take a helping hand.
You try to keep awake as you watch him towel your feet dry and tuck you into a bed with a thick blanket. You felt incredibly small in this form, not only physically. The fireplace at the corner casted a bright orange glow alongside some lamp crystals.
"What's your name?" you asked, barely contain yourself from adding 'kid' at the end (that probably wouldn't fit in with this situation).
The young man smiles broadly at you and sits on a small velvet chair beside the bed. "How about you call me Ajax?" he encourages and suddenly ruffles your hair.
You're caught off guard, this kind of gesture... you remember it distantly. What a warm feeling... was this what it felt like at first? Back when you lived in your mother nest with your older siblings? Before you all achieved glory and divinity?
"And what's your name?"
"'I... don't remember" lying was necessary not for any fear of this human boy, or of distrust - but to make Ajax's life a bit easier by just being a kid he saved, not a reincarnated deity.
Ajax doesn't let his expression dim as he nods in understanding "That's fine, solnyshko. Just stick with brother Ajax and I'll get you settled in Snezhnaya, okay?"
Snezhnaya... is that the nation you were in?
Either way, you appreciated the sincerity of Ajax, a kindhearted soul truly - at least to what he thinks of is an innocent child. Though you can't help but notice the different kind of look in his eyes - like darkness that lurks just beneath the surface.
"You are tired."
"Quite interesting you say that, zaichik, since you're the one who should be going to sleep right now" he jokes, squishing your doughy cheek, but you insist.
"To rest is to respect the boundaries of your nature. Nature will reward you when you listen to it." you say quietly, trying to finish before sleep finally pulls you under "Someone... told me that... long... ago..."
You don't know if your words were what made the difference between you being put in the care of a woman serving under the palace Ajax presided in; and instead being welcomed into this young man's family in the far away village, but it was a wonder how warm family feels, after all this time.
Now, Ajax will come to rest at his home frequently and you will repay this unspoken one-sided debt by silently watching over his little siblings grow.
Such true is an advice that stands through time.
Diluc ; to heal a tired heart
Mondstadt was quite the nation. A beautiful landscape, culture that would enchant anyone from anywhere. Mondstadt was largely known for brewing the finest quality wine - Dandelion wine.
Or so you've heard.
Too bad you weren't allowed to get a drop of it form the nation's best winery. The owner seemed to not even entertain the thought of giving alcohol to a 'child that seemed barely of age to walk around alone' - he said, word for word.
You weren't about to drop off all your dignity and beg a stranger for wine when you fully knew you were now inhabiting a small human's body, who was not meant to be drinking.
But something still stayed on your mind.
As you walk around the outskirt streets of the square, you catch the warm light that was coming from the Dawn Winery. The yellow of it spilling down the cobblestone ground like honey and stretching onto now empty streets.
The tavern is now empty. Lonley figure remains inside.
You step inside, making no effort to be quiet; your small, stubby legs don't make it any easier. The owner, who's hair and eyes endearingly match, looks up to see who came in; you almost laugh at how his expression drops into disappointment and amusing blankness.
You hold up your hand "Not here for a glass"
Though still looking at you with a skeptical eye, he resumes drying the wine glasses; he neatly places them all in a row on the shelf, just as he does every night before blowing out the center chandelier altogether.
"Children shouldn't be out at all at this hour. Where are your parents anyway?" technically, your parents have been turned into concepts of chaos and peace, but speaking about such mediums to a human may put this mortal being at unease; that's not what you want.
"Can I stay here for a bit? It's windy outside."
Maybe it was the nature of a soft human heart, or just unique kindheartedness to this human; either way, he allowed a stranger child - you - to stay while he wiped down the bar.
"What's your name?" you ask, taking embarrassingly long to climb a stool at the said bar.
"You come into a bar so frequently, pester me to give you alcohol and only now you ask of my name?" he says, annoyed and clearly irritated, but he relents "I'm Diluc."
"Your heart is tired, Diluc."
You were far too old to say that you couldn't stop the words tumbling out of your mouth, no, after eons of being alive, you mean every word you say.
So you didn't slap a hand over your mouth at overstepping privacy with Diluc, or pretend to be at shock at your own words. It must be quite a shock already, such words coming out of a child's mouth, gods, sometimes you wished for your godhood to be back so badly.
After looking at you with a puzzled face, Diluc raises an eyebrow "Look at you now, which grown up book did you read that phrase from?"
You knew deep down, he knew the truth of it too. His heart is tired and it's lonely; no matter how much humans try, they are still creatures of habit. Habit of enjoying company and warmth, which Diluc must have had at some point.
Always so tense, a permanent furrow in his brow.
"Don't brush my words off so easily-"
"Okay, I'll think about doing that after 10 years, after you will be a big and serious adult, how about that? Will you quiet down now?" he says as he pushed a cup of something in your direction and turns away to continue his business.
Your eyes sparkled at being able to drink wine again - until you took a swing and realized it was grape juice. Though it irked you that Diluc delighted in your surprise, it was quite a delicious bevarage.
After that, every evening, after working hours, you'd sit at the bar with a glass of grape juice; help clean up around the winery and sometimes even let your little self fall asleep at the spare sofa.
Diluc never asked about your parents again, instead offering for you to stay at the Ragvindr household. Well, mortal human life isn't as bad when you have someone who can listen to a child wax poetic with a glass of grape juice.
Even though you won't dig up any of the wounds open about his past, you want to make this human smile again. If your happiness makes him happy too, then it's good enough for you.
Time helps heal tired hearts.
Cyno ; depth of understanding
Deserts never change, you decided.
They have always been unbearably hot and full of the sands that sting your bare feet. Not to mention how delicate your skin turned out to be - not the worker kind. Thankfully, you found some abandoned camps that had a dried fruit or two still good, so you weren't starving, but you were very close to passing out from the heat.
It was frustrating. You - an eons old god that had endured all types of warfare - were now struggling to drag your feet across the scorching desert that seemed to have no end.
Silence, heat, it was sickening at a point.
After couple of days like this, you suddenly hear a noise out of the blue. Before you can even register the sound, you are faced with someone who's holding a polearm towards you threateningly.
With sun-kissed skin and clothing resembling of the roaming guards of the divine back at your time, you guess this person could be a watch-guard stationed at the desert.
You can only see one magnificently reddish eye, like the blazing sand that scorched your feet. Out of a delicately crafted amethyst headpiece, locks of long, white hair fall. A truly interesting looking individual.
"What are you here for?" he asks, curt.
"I don't know" you answer truthfully "I woke up here couple of days ago..."
He looks at you with suspicion, never once faltering his gaze down at you "Why is a child with no supervision left at the desert?" knowing that neither of them would have an answer for it, most likely, he followed up with "Where do your guardians live?"
Your guardians? you suppress a melancholic smile. You greatly miss your guardians, but in this new life, you're not sure if you have any - or if you need them.
Your stomach growls.
Scratch that, you definitely need a guardian in this new era.
"I don't know..." it was again, the truth. The stranger seemed to sense that you were being honest, since he lowered his weapon; he sighed with exhaustion.
"I will take you back to the Aaru village, but it's a long way back." he warned, as if you had a choice - or maybe it was a statement; either way, you weren't about to ignore this miracle.
You took a step closer, should you bow in greeting? Is that what people still did in this era? Should you just ask?
"What's your name?"
"My name is Cyno. How about you?" he answered and asked swiftly, seemingly also quite curious.
"I don't have one."
After pointedly looking at your feet, Cyno had no problem picking you up with his free arm to give your body some relief; it was a bit of a surprise, but you're sure you'd do the same with a small child in his place.
"That's fine, well, what do you call a child lost in the sand? Sandy, I guess."
The sudden joke caused moments of silence as you looked at his blank face in surprise, before you burst into laughter from the sheer absurdity of the joke; now that seemed to really excite the stranger as he started to make his way towards the promised civilization.
"it was funny, right?"
A child's piercing laugh was an enough answer.
Sure, your new body was a bit annoying to get used to - weak and uncoordinated. But it was worth it, living amongst these people, sharing their joys and their grieves. It's fascinating to see humans grow and to be aware of eons worth of knowledge and grow up with it, but such trials and tribulations could be mended.
As long as this kindhearted person comes by to tell you jokes that pain the rest of the village, you could deal with the rest.
The depth of mutual understandings about simple matters between the two of you. That's apparently what it means to be human.
Kazuha ; whispering of the universe
Inazuma as a nation was a bit of a mystery to you. When you woke up, you were surrounded by a sweet scent (that you later discovered were Inazuman cherry blossom trees). That, and it rained.
A lot.
The air of strange mystic aura and alluring spirits; it left you with confusion, left to wander around the beautiful flora with just the clothes on your back. Your feet hurt from worn out sandals and the weak body you were granted with had problems moving for even a day.
It frustrated you to no end, but if you have learned anything during the many thousands of years of your life, is that complaining about things you can not change is truly a waste of breath.
So, you walked on.
From time to time, you came across some lavender melons, but it wasn't enough to nourish the body of a growing child; so you knew if you didn't settle down somewhere, you were in for trouble. You were no longer a god with no binds to your strength, but a tired human child.
So, you set up a small camp, still having crystal clear memory of how to survive in wildlife - sure, Inazuma had its own quirks, but the base of it was still the same. Shelter, water, fire, food. in that order.
Your plans came crashing down when you got stuck in a small crack between two hills. You were holding onto the edge, yet you didn't have enough legroom to fling yourself up - curses! Had it been your old form, you'd been able to pull yourself up with just one hand.
Gods, were you about to die as soon as you woke up in your second life?
Suddenly, a gush of wind leaps you into the air; not having the time to even yelp, you land into stranger's waiting arms. "Hello little one, you look like you've been full of mischief" a calm voice said with no real retribution.
You looked up to see a young man with unique hair and delicate features; his gentle smile set you at ease. A vermillion streak in his light hair was an eye-catching feature, distantly reminding you of an autumn spent painting the fallen leaves with your peers.
"Where did you come from, little wanderer?" he asked, safely setting you down on the ground; he crouched down in front of you to eye level.
Finally, someone that could guide you to a nearby civilized settlement "I don't know" you decided to be truthful "I woke up nearby here..."
"My name is Kazuha, do you know where your parents might be?"
Oh boy did you want to answer with the truth, but in reality, this child's parents were probably nowhere near "I don't know that either..." gods, your whole life you hated that sentence and even subjected your diplomats to a day of lecturing whenever they used the phrase 'I don't know'.
"Alright, how about your name?"
"Don't think I have one" right now.
Kazuha nods with an unfazed smile, stands up and holds out his hand "Would you trust me to lead you back to somewhere safe? this isn't the best place for you to be" he had kind eyes that had wisdom of life embedded into its marble surface between sadness.
You guessed as such, if cracked ground and unstable weather was anything to go by; you took his hand and you two begin to make your way back to wherever Kazuha came from.
"If you don't mind me asking" you finally spoke after being silent for days, so you had to ignore the scratching of your throat "How did you end up here?"
"The wind told me."
"Oh, I see."
"You don't find it weird?"
You shook your head "Wind tells many stories."
So does the earth and the vast seas. Every leaf and every pebble tells a different, priceless story. To be in tune with one's self is to be listening to the universe around you - it rewards when one lends its stories an ear.
Kazuha found your answer pleasant, his smile stretching just a bit "It sure does."
Soon, you found yourself at a beach, or a makeshift dock of some sort - in front of a giant ship. Awed at how much bigger everything seemed from a child's eyes, you couldn't help yourself but quicken your step towards it.
As you stared at the ship, you noticed a tall lady approach you with a smile. "Hey there kiddo! Ya like the ship?" she asks with a booming voice you'd expect from a motivated general. She had an eyepatch and wore bright maroon clothing.
Was this the captain?
"It's magnificent" you answered truthfully.
"Oho! Such big words there! Smart kid! Where'd you come from?" she was standing in front of you now. She was pretty tall; in your previous form, you'd be twice as taller, but in this life, you had to painfully bend your neck.
"The small one is with me, captain Beidou" Kazuha caught up with you to stand behind. The easy smile on his face suggested the woman in front of you was an ally.
Captain Beidou seems to glow with excitement "So, coming aboard then?!" she seems ecstatic to have you on the ship. Maybe she's the type who's good with children? In that case, you're not sure if she'd like a child who has a soul of an ancient god.
Kazuha rested a hand on top of your head "I guess so, can't remember the parents or even a name. It's better if we keep this one a bit of company for now."
That's how you ended up on the Alcor, amongst the fleet that called itself 'The Crux'. Soon enough, you fell into a routine of helping around; sure, you were small and got tired easily, but you still remembered all about ships and navy - after all, you'd led soldiers across many seas before.
Looked like Beidou appreciated your helpful nature as well, looking over you with an approving expression from time to time.
Still, despite proving that you were more than capable of handling the routine aboard, Kazuha insisted on accompanying you most of the time.
Maybe because he was the one who found you, a small child, tired and bruised from horrible living conditions.
Maybe because you still tripped on your little feet from time to time, eliciting a playful laugh from everyone, including Kazuha himself, before he swiftly pulled you up back on your feet.
Maybe because Kazuha enjoyed being in company of someone who could understand his wax poetic - as you two sat at the very end of the Alcor and looked at the boundless waters of Teyvat.
He teaches you of the modern ways people try to listen to the world around them, and of haikus he loves to drop on you suddenly - maybe he thinks of you as his successor; it's a little funny, how in reality, you're the one supposed to be teaching this young soul.
But you're content to just sit beside him and listen to the whispers of the universe.

All together we got over two whole minutes of SinghGap goodness! Woohoo! 🥳
@victooooorious and I went crazy over this scene lol. Gap has just about had it with this idiot Singh. Disappointed (again) Gap is too cute.
Tumblr media
Oh really? Just what exactly were you imagining Gap? 😏 Poor Gap, first it was the not-date and now this. Did Singh really need to lean in and stare into Gap's eyes to ask him to set up an appointment with his Dad? 😅
Tumblr media
What are we going to do with Singh? He is an adorable dumbass that just doesn't have a clue. How much more obvious does Gap need to be? Aiya!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
They really are the perfect pair. One with high IQ and the other high EQ. Apart they are a mess, together they make (one) great doctor. 😄
Tumblr media
It's finally here! The closet scene next week!! They say that being in danger will bring out people's inner feelings. Let's hope Singh finally starts realizing his.
It's going to be another long week. 😣

@serendpitous / starter call (accepting).
Coming back to the house is always a bit of a chore. She has perfectly fond memories of it—she liked Atlas well enough while she was here, and she has never been all that troubled by the conditions of her membership.
(She pretended to be. Nineteen years old, without a formal education in magic, small and slender and with sweet eyes and a doll-like face, and if she had seemed too ready to kill to save herself, they would have turned on her in a heartbeat. And if she had seemed too easy to kill, the same would have happened. It was a difficult line to walk but one she had managed, and Dalton, at one point, had wound an arm around her shoulders while she trembled and promised it wouldn't be her. Now Dalton is stuck in the house for god knows how long and Astoria's on a lecture circuit and getting paid obscene amounts of money. She remembers, too late, that she should probably bring him a bottle of wine or something.)
This year's group is, from what she's been told, a good one. It's her curiosity that brings her here, and that's what's tiresome: there is some part of her that is viciously envious of anyone else in the spotlight, and she's heard good things about the physicists. She's not sure what bothers her more, that they're in the house when she's not, or that she cares what they do. She still has the advantage of being one of the society's youngest recruits, but she has always known that there would come a power greater than her own, and on principle alone, she doesn't like it.
Aiya's already had one run-in with a current recruit. Dalton is, apparently, quite enmeshed, though she doesn't know the details. And so Astoria lounges comfortably in the reading room with a small stack of books beside her and another open in her lap, though she has no doubt the house knows exactly why she's here. Somehow, it always does. She hears footsteps approaching before she sees anyone else, and when she lifts her eyes from the page she's only barely reading it's to the sight of a girl who looks for all the world like she should be in one of Astoria's classes, with that same bright-eyed wonder and excitement and a frankly terrifyingly energetic dedication to her work.
"If you need the space for your research, I can move," she says by way of greeting, and she smiles. "I'm a guest. I don't want to encroach on a space when you've got dibs."

@adversitybloomed sent: “Psst…” she tried to get Huaisang’s attention by waiving at him, “come on, let’s go into town - I hear they have got 羊肉泡馍 ( yáng ròu pào mó - Yangrou Paomo ) and live entertainment playing.”
There's a lot of work in being a sect leader, most of it things that Huaisang isn't fond of. The worst thing though, is the cultivation conferences and all the other group meetings. He absolutely detests them. If it weren't for the gossip and good wine, he'd send a substitute most of the time, no one would care if the Headshaker did that. As it is now, he attends himself most of the time and this time is no difference, though it's droning on and Huaisang fear he might go grey while listening to Sect Leader Yao done on. He actually feels a bit sleepy and tries his best to hide behind his fan. All the important decisions have been made, so why is the man still talking anyway?
Thankfully, before he can fall asleep, and make an even bigger fool of himself, Mulan gains his attention. He leans closer, listening to what she says and at once he feels more alert. Unfortunately, he's sitting right next to Jiang Wanyin, headshaker or not, the Nie is still one of the big four sects, and he is already giving Huaisang a frown. A frown that's not his usual frown, but more a 'don't drag my disciple into something, Huaisang' kind of frown. Well, sorry, Wanyin, but I'm bored and my buttocks is numb, with my brain threatening to dribble out of my ears.
With a dramatic sigh, he folds his fan. "Aiya! Yao-zongzhu, everything has already been decided, I'm tired and hungry. I've been stuck in this position for so long that I might never regain the use of my legs, please have mercy on me!" It's all said with a tearful expression, looking very much like a kicked puppy. Though his sudden whining outburst is met by a low mumble of agreement. Sect Leader Yao isn't pleased, but he does shut up and it doesn't take many minutes for the gathering to round up. As soon as it's done, Huaisang is quickly on his feet, too quick for someone who feared never feeling his legs again, and smiles at Mulan. "Come on then! Let's go into town!"

@epitomees: “You gonna eat that?” (From Chie)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It had been a little while since Minato had last visited the quiet town of Yasoinaba, about a year or two to be exact, his last visit was when he stopped by to drop off gifts for Yu Narukami and his group of friends for Christmas, even then it was a quick visit, only this time, Minato actually had free time upon his arrival here. Currently, he was on a bit of vacation as he and his co-investigators had just recently wrapped up their final episode for this season of his show, Minato had two months of freedom before they would start figuring out new locations to explore for the next season, the first process in preparing for another successful season, this one, in particular, being his sixth season.
The paranormal investigator had been a couple train stops over after finishing the only thing he had to do one day before his vacation started, there was a radio station that had asked him to be a guest on their show for about two hours, it was different from a podcast but similar in a way, so it had been an interesting and fun experience. Upon realizing he was near Inaba, he just had to visit, besides, it had also been a while since he last got to enjoy the food from Aiya, and this was as good an excuse as ever to do just that.
It was an early afternoon, after arriving at the restaurant, there was about a twenty-five-minute wait before his food finally arrived. The moment he got his food, he began to dig in. Minato had ordered twelve extra large beef bowls. The bluenette had been sitting there for about fifteen minutes now. Instead of eating his food all at once like he normally did, because of how busy it was here, he wanted to savor it, with how many people were here, if he were to make another order, it would be a bit of a longer wait. He didn't want to overwhelm them, especially with how large his orders usually were.

He had only finished about four of his twelve bowls when he heard a familiar voice ask him a question, it wasn't that hard to recognize who exactly it was as the question itself was a dead giveaway. Turning his head to the right, he saw Chie Satonaka, one of Narkami's friends whom he had gifted. Running into her here wasn't too surprising considering how much she loved food, meat dishes especially. True to her nature, she posed the question instead of a typical greeting. Anyone else would probably be offended and would take that as rude, but Minato didn't mind it, he knew how Chie was from knowing her, so this was pretty normal coming from the young woman.
Tumblr media
[{ 🦋 }] - "Oh, hey Satonaka! It's been a little while."
Assuming she had just ordered, he took a moment to take a look at the line from his seat and there were people as far as the eye could so if she ordered, the wait time for her order was more than likely a very long one, so while he did have plans to eat his other bowls, he opted to share. Besides, lunch was better with the company anyway.
[{ 🦋 }] - "I was, but since your order is probably gonna take a while, you're welcome to join me, I don't mind sharing, go ahead and help yourself."

My Hero PSLE: S4E8 "SIMI SI MTL???"
"Sq, sir, sq!" "Simi sq, we are fighter jet, where got sq one!" "Sq me, sir, I go lak the chao ang moh jiasai!"
-mrbrown
So. Now they almost got killed by cum guy sent from the cum heavens of above, and then got saved by some crow guy whose name is literally Destruction.
"Ok so like I'll introduce ya'll to most of the other poets, *snaps fingers and immediately lights up the entire cave and transforms it into some futuristic caveman's dream house living room*, this is our headquarter headquarters," Crow-face said.
Oh wait he has a name. Destruction.
Oh hell naw even Crow-face sounds better. Nvm.
Anyway Crow-face then walked over to the living room table, where a few of the other animal-faces were sitting, then they just like waved at Xiao Ming and gang.
"She there is Despair," *points to Unicorn-face* *Unicorn-face waves and disntegrates mask*
"And then that there is Death," *points at another furry this time, a Dragon-face* *Dragon-face also disintegrates mask but waves again*
"That there is War," *points at a Wolf-face this time* *Again, Wolf-face disintegrates mask*
"And finally, that is Plague," *points rather respectfully this time at a Lion-face* *Lion-face doesn't disintegrate mask*
"Wait wait wait wait, didn't you say there were like 9 of you or something? Where are the rest?" Xiao Ming realised got plot-hole and asked question.
"No lah, they go some adventure somewhere far far away where your dad is," Lion-face reply.
"Ok wait wait wait wait everyone, can ya'll explain clearly first what the hell ya'll are, and why the hell did you save us like when Childe told Lumine to girlie-hold-still?" Grandmaster asked.
"Oh well, that ah, actually ah, us 9 were selected by the Exuvias and imbued with divine energy to protect the people of the worlds they create and defend against evil spirits and even evil Exuvias,"
"Well that settles everything," Kiefer comments. AIYA STOP KAJIANGING LAH YOU-
"Well I assume since you're like the police equivalent of Exuvias you know quite a lot of things, tell us, how the hell can we kill that bastard Exuvia?" Ah finally Rainslasher asking the good questions.
"Well, for starters *inhales as Crow-face begins to explain long paragraph*
1) The Chrysalis, the one the COM (oh finally he pronounced it normally) killed one of its members of, is indeed a secret rebel organisation set up to overthrow that rogue Exuvia gone south secretly, so I guess we could use their help too,
2) As far as our intelligence department has gathered, this Exuvia, unlike other Exuvias, doesn't know what we are, *passively glances back at Xiao Ming* so he might be a newer and more noob Exuvia, so he's probably not very skilled in combat especially if he can't harness Exuvia power yet.
3) As for that COM ah, well, the only way to beat a Commander of Memes is to beat him in a meme battle with our own meme collection, I guess. Other than that, he doesn't really seem to pose a threat.
So that's it and-"
And just as Crow-face was about to finish his chat-gpt paragraph, Rainslasher suddenly strangled himself by grabbing his own neck, and then he kept choking on his own blood and then-OMG his eyes are doing that thing where his pupils dilate like hell like a cat's eyes and-HOLY SHIT HE'S TRANSFORMING WE NEED TO GET HIM THE MEDICINE FOR THE CURE IMMEDIATELY OR HE'LL TRANSFORM AND KILL US ALL FUCK NOOOOO
"Well, this thing again," says Wolf-face like it's some kind of chore (which to be fair it was) "As far as I know, the only medicine is with the Heavenly Lord in his royal palace, so-"
*packs up and leaves*
*other animal-faces follow and do the same*
*Xiao Ming and gang still left standing there cos of their terruble reaction speed*
"OH YEAH RIGHT WE'D BETTER GO YEAH"

Day 3 __ Tue, Jan 3
I got my period yesterday and was anticipating this week to be a rough one... So far so good. If anything, I've been feeling very content with how everything is going. I learned what kind of training and tone helps with Shumai. She's able to match people's energy. So if I want her to be patient and listen, I have to show that I'm there to listen to her needs too rather than only making her do things I want her to do. It's almost been 2 months since we got her and I was really expecting Shumai to calm down much later.
Unfortunately, Mikel caught the flu or covid but he's going to keep testing day and night to confirm. Either way, I feel like it's gonna be a bad one since he never gets his flu shots. Yikes... we were supposed to take doggo to the dog park at Lake Elizabeth today but we canceled because I wanted Mikel to rest. I hope to at least see Mikel one more time before I leave for the Long beach Tournament this weekend. I know his mom will take good care of him though, and give him the good good food.
Later tonight, I'm going to go to an open gym to get at least some touches before the tournament. I'm heading there by myself and I'm gonna see some familiar faces that I haven't seen in a while. Lorenzo might even be there... aiya. But I should be able to stay away from him since I'm on a team with people I don't know all too well. Time to make friends , : / I've gotten used to going to open gyms with Mikel and or friends but I used to go by myself and meet people there, so this shouldn't bee too hard. It stars at 9:30 PM so I'm definitely going to take a nap a couple hours before the open gym.
I'm still wondering what to do for my birthday and frankly, I'm too lazy to plan. Maybe we'll do something chill? Maybe head to a nice restaurant that provides free birthday specials HAHA
