Decided to some little shipping game.

Explanations:

Ship That I Loved At First Sight

I don't know how to explain, I just love them so much, maybe it's their similar age and matching zodiacs, but they are my babies. Fight me if you don't like them!

Ship That I Initially Didn't Like

HyoShun, it's not like I was "ew, what a disgusting ship", but I found it to be quite overrated. It's still not my Top 3 ship, but I grew very fond of it

Ship That I Never Liked

The original was ship that I no longer like, but I don't have it in StS, I'm still faithful to all my ships. But I do have ships that I hate, the Top 1 being Shura x Camus for two reasons: one, they don't have chemistry or any interesting interaction to spark a wish to ship them in me. Two, if I had to choose someone to have some close relationship with Shura, it would be either Deathmask, Aphrodite, Aiolia, or even Saga or Aiolos, but Camus, really?

Favorite Popular Ship

Maybe Mu x Aldebaran is not that popular as Mu x Shaka (what is a shame, Mu and Aldebaran have a lot more chemistry for me), but I still think that this ship is quite popular, so I'm putting this one here.

Favorite Rarepair

Okay, it may be weird that I don't like Shura x Camus, but like Deathmask x Camus, but the reason is because Shura x Camus is forced as hell, mainly in SoG, where they are constantly trying to make us believe that they had some sort of friendship and that's why they were fighting, but guess what, they never had it in first place, so this conflict (and ship) falls flat. But with Deathmask x Camus, even tho they never interacted too, we got a moment of Camus mentioning Deathmask when the "Dark Trio" was heading to Cancer Temple, and this was... interesting. Plus, they would have much more chemistry with each other, Deathmask trying to make Camus be more lively and energetic, while Camus would teach Deathmask to be more calm and collected.

Controversial Ship

Tbh, I don't have it. The closest that I can think about is Hypnos x Thanatos, just to clarify, I don't ship them, but if I had to believe that some incestuous ship would happen, it would be between them because we know how Greek Gods are like with their relatives. But I won't say that I don't have the idea of Hypnos being the sub top, while Thanatos is a dom bottom 😶.

Ship That I Want To Become Canon The Most

Well, even tho I love Trash Trio, I can't deny that I see them more like just best friends (who may fuck sometimes, but still best friends), but Aiolia x Shura is actually really cute. The drama, dynamics, relationship that this couple would have is so juicy. SoG may have give us terrible, horrible ships (Shura x Camus, again; Aiolia x Lyfia; Deathmask x Helena; Dohko x Aldebaran), but Shura x Aiolia isn't one of those, I would dare to say that it's the best ship that SoG gave to us along with Deathmask x Aphrodite.

Comfort Ship

Again, Trash Trio, nothing new here.

Ship That Deserves More Attention

Ikki x Pandora actually is one of the few best straight couples from Saint Seiya. Ignoring the fact that Ikki smacked Pandora on the face, but this was because she was getting on his way to save Shun, so it's slightly understandable, what made me ship them is their final interaction: Pandora finally vents her problems to someone and trust on Ikki to avenge her real family, that Hades, Hypnos and Thanatos destroyed, in turn, we see that Ikki actually empathized with her, this short scene managed to be better developing some sort of romance (what wasn't even the focus) than a lot of love stories from media nowadays. Sadly it's overshadowed with some other ships like Ikki x Esmeralda, dude got infatuated with a girl who was identical to his younger brother, what is... ew, and Pandora x Radamanthys, poor Pandora, she deserves better than Radamanthys, I hate this bitch.

First OTP

That's easy, it was Seiya x Shun. Those two spend a lot more time together than with the other Bronzies, so it's easy for me to ship. I personaly like it more than Seiya x Shiryu or Shun x Hyoga, not saying that those two ships are bad, I like them and if you like them it's fine.

Current OTP

It has to be Saga x Aiolos, while Shion and Dohko where the kid Goldies granddads, Saga and Aiolos where their mother and father, respectively (Kanon was the uncle). I'm actually glad how popular this ship is, and pretty sure that Kurumada ships them too, otherwise all their gay interactions in Episode Zero wouldn't been happened in first place.

How did you get out/found to Saint Seiya?

I actually watched it as Knights of the Zodiac back when Toonami was showing it every Saturday night along with other great anime. That was before they took it off air in the middle of the Sanctuary Arc.

Who´s your favorite character and why? This is a very hard question for me because I have not seen the whole series include any of the spin offs and OVAs besides Lost Canvas. So I’ll list my favorites from each part.  Saint Seiya Sanctuary: Cygnus Hyoga

Saint Seiya Asgard: Benetnasch Eta Mime Saint Seiya Poseidon: Siren Sorrento Saint Seiya Hades: Aries Mu Saint Seiya The Lost Canvas: Aries Shion and/or Unicorn Yato Saint Seiya Soul of Gold: Aries Mu

Who´s your absolute hate-character and why? Aw man, that’s tough! I would say the Specter Toad/Frog? Zelos. After seeing the scene where he hurt Camus when he couldn’t even fight back. I don’t like characters that kick people when they are already down. 

Shippings you like and why you ship them?

I have a lot... OTL

HyogaXShun: They are absolutely devoted to one another, sacrificing so much for the other. It shows how much they care about each other.

IkkiXHyoga: The dynamic seems interesting to me, mostly because they are almost polar opposites. But I think they would make a very unique couple.

SeiyaXShiryu: The bond between these two are so strong since the tournament. Always worrying about each other, being happy to see each other again. It’s super touching.

JabuXNachi: Okay, a real rare pair since we never get to see any of the other Bronze Saints again. But I think this pair would be interesting, mostly because Jabu needs someone else that would stand by him since he can’t be with Saori. 

SeiyaXShun: These two are very sweet to each other. Always having each others back, Shun always saving Seiya, not to mention Seiya always wanting to protect Shun.

SagaXMu: Okay, these two are kind a of rare pair. I don’t know what got me into the pairing, but I think Mu’s kind and gentle nature would be good for Saga to help him heal. Being forgiven by Mu and acknowledged as a fellow Gold Saint really helps Saga to heal from all those years he was suffering at the hands of his dark half.

ShakaXMu: Mostly for the elegant feel and the welcome company. Mu cries over all of his comrades, but he felt close to Shaka. So I think they are a very sweet couple.

AioliaXShaka: These two have the companionship dynamic, not to mention they seem to enjoy each other’s company. They would definitely be sparring partners, being careful not to almost have another 1000 day war.

SagaXCamus: A pairing I recently discovered, with it’s own unique feel. I feel these two would be the quiet companions, Camus trying to help Saga with his pain. 

DeathmaskXAphrodite: A real devilish pair. They are ones who understand each other, though they see things quite differently. Aphrodite would probably be the one to quell Deathmask when he’s angry.

AiolosXShura: I know this pairing is a little hard to see, but I imagine Shura looked up to Aiolos and regrets being the one who killed him. When he finally apologizes, Aiolos would have already forgiven him for everything.

MiloXCamus: The care with how Milo worries about Camus is so sweet, he even tries to convey his best friend’s feelings to Hyoga and that speaks volumes. 

FenrirXMime: I find this pairing to be very sweet, Fenrir enjoying Mime’s gentle presence as he plays for him. Fenrir would be very affectionate as he grows closer to Mime, even staying with him during very cold nights with his wolves. Poseidon/JulianXSorrento: Okay, partially a loyalty pairing and loving pairing. Julian would be very caring with Sorrento, while Poseidon may be a bit more possessive.  BaianXIo: These two it’s a bit harder for me to say since I haven’t seen the Poseidon Arc yet, but they would be one of those cute pairings.  RhadamanthysXKanon: A pure rivalry pairing, I feel they could learn a lot from one another. HadesXOrphee: Okay, a VERY rare pairing. I feel this one is possible though many may disagree with me. Honestly, I feel Orphee would become closer to Hades over the time he played for he’s played for him. Maybe even to fill the void of loneliness he feels after losing Eurydice.  TenmaXAlone: Of course, these two are made for each other. So protective and loving to each other.  TenmaXYato: A rivalry pairing, but I feel these two could get together after getting to know each other as they fighting together.  RegulusXYato: They are best friends, though Regulus enjoys teasing Yato too much.  DohkoXShion: A bond that goes beyond the hundreds of years they’ve lived. They share so much hardship, they deserve each other. ShionXAlbafica: A heartbreaking couple. Shion tries to pull Albafica out of his shell but loses him. It’s so sad they didn’t get more time together.  KardiaXDegel: The amount of care for each other, that makes this pairing so nice. Degel taking care of Kardia when he’s sick, Kardia defending Degel on the battlefield shows a strong bond between them. I can’t think of any others right now. I will add them later if I do.

Shippings you don´t like/hate and why you dislike them? PandoraXIkki: Um...no? Ikki never felt that way for her, not to mention it’s kinda creepy to me. ^^;;;; ANY ADULT/MINOR Pairings that are way too far apart.

Your favorite Scene?

So far my favorite scene is when Shun uses his Cosmos to save Hyoga in the Libra Temple in the Sanctuary Arc. It really shows how much Shun is willing to give his all to save those dearest to him.

Your favorite Attack:

Aurora Execution! Hyoga was my very first favorite, but seeing Camus use this move made me love the Ice Saints even more. It’s beautiful not to mention terrifying.

If you could decide for which god/goddess you fight, which one you prefer and why?

Wow, this is a hard question! There are so many but not many are even mentioned! I would have to choose...either Athena or Poseidon? I really can’t decide. ^^;

If you could choose a Cloth. Which you would prefer? I would want to have the Aries or Aquarius Cloths! I love their design and the power behind them!

From which country you´re from?

I am from America! 

Your favorite season / sequel:  So far it’s the Sanctuary Arc! Since I haven’t watch the others yet!

Super rare/strange Saint Seiya pairings

Another little fun list I thought of doing. Now, before we dive into it, a few things. Firstly, I came across these pairings while scouring the depths of the interwebs. So, I might have come across these pairings either in fanart or fanfiction format. Or just mentioned somewhere. Secondly, yes, I wrote rare/strange pairings in the title. That doesn't mean that they are bad. If you are fan of any of these, all the power to you. I am not stating any opinions of mine here; I just dug out some couples which can come out of the blue, which might strike one as rather odd, and/or about which there is almost nothing. Like, there's one pairing I only found one single fanfic about.

Let us play a little Questiongame. Remove my answers and puts yours under the questions. How did you get out/found to Saint Seiya? It was as my mother brought me an Saint Seiya-Game for my PS2. I was so badly in love with the story, the mythological Backgrounds, the graphic and the characters... As an fan of Mythologies, I was really hyped. Who´s your favorite character and why? My favourite Character is and stays Mu. He has my Zodiacsign, is soft/calm and I like his characterdesign. And I love his Attacks. They´re beautyful. <3 But I like Camus, Shaka und Kanon, too. Who´s your absolute hatecharacter and why? Pandora Heinstein. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't she the only German in the Saint Seiya universe? First of all, I don't like that her stupid dog is called Adolf. As a German, you are directly associated with the Nazis again. And I am no Nazi. She had no problems letting other people die, just to be immortal and she has no problems torturing others (like Rhadamaynthys). And the vulture knows, why she helped Ikki. In Lost Canvas she is even more unsympathetic to me. Shippings you like and why you ship them? My faves are: 1. Rhadamanthys x Kanon: Both are Dragons and very strong. Rhada is serious and Kanon a more open character. They´d a very beautyful screentime together. Idk, I really like them together and it´s my confort ship. 2. Saga x Shaka: My first Saint Seiya fanfiction I´ve read, was about them as couple and I liked it. They´ve a chemistry together. Other Ships: Minos x Lune, Camus x Milo, Riegel x Mu, Kardia x Degel, Aspros x Albafica, Phoseidon x Defteros, Shura x Aolia, Deathmask x Aphrodite, Dohko x Shion, Ailia x Marin, Mila x Shaina, Seiya x Saori, Ikki x Shiryuu, Hyoga x Shun, Hades x Hypnos&Thanatos Shippings you don´t like/hate and why you dislike them? Hades/Alone and Rhadamanthys x Pandora. Both are characters I like and Pandora is the character I most dislike. Ship her with Ikki, that´s okay and makes a bit sense, but not with them. Shaka x Mu/Mu x Shaka: Because some fanarts had disturb me. And both are characters with a feminin touch. I am a person that loves having an dominant and an lesser dominant looking character in an couple. Aiolia x Shaka. Aiolia is to hotbloodet for the calm Virgo Saint. I don´t like to ship characters with bad temper to characters appearing cold. Rhadamanthys x Valentine: Eh, no. I don´t like it. Rhada belongs to Kanon. So, if I have my way. Geminiships: I don´t like shipping Brothers/Sisters and other family together. Saga x Aiolos: Saga was jealous of Aiolos and branded him as a traitor.
