I saw tons of people claiming that Lesso and Dovey were gay and in love in the books, unlike Agaphie, and that was the only reason that made me still want to read this saga, all this to HAPPILY discover today that it was bullshit. These two were simply best friends and their love is compared to Agaphie's platonic love. Also, they both die. Not to mention that Lesso is married to a man ! People... why are you making up lies about the characters' sexuality and relationships ?! I already have a problem with the clearly queerbaiting Agaphie relationship, and Agatha's relationship with Tedros and even Tedros' character in general which is... rubbish. But I had a little hope for Lesso and Dovey, only to discover that those who said this were either knowingly lying or were deeply entrenched in their fanon delusion to the point of taking it for canon.

Genuinely disappointed with the way agatha was handled in the movie

Agatha went through an amazing self discovery journey and managed to truly understand her goodness in the book

She had very low self esteem at first to the point that she despised to look at the mirror,when she got her "makeover" she believed that she got to be beautiful for the first time in her life because everyone were shocked at the sight of her,but then she saw herself in the mirror and realized that she's exactly the same and was just smiling;she realized that she was beautiful all along. Agatha from then started to take care of herself more

Along with her appearance her opinions also got to change over the time. The moment she arrived in the school she described it as hell in the movie and...it never gets resolved? In the books Agatha only studied to not fail,she was also helping sophie as well, but as the time went Agatha truly learned to enjoy her lessons in the school! She learned to enjoy Fairytales and passionately read about heroes who defeated their villains

And the most important thing that wasn't in the movie: AGATHA DIDN'T PROVE HER GOODNESS TO ANYONE

Literally everyone suspected her,even after everything she did. Even she doubted herself but the moment she shows her talent and reveals the truth about the fairies and wolves to both schools everybody were shocked. That was her most important moment and it wasn't even in the movie.

I recently saw a post on reddit about someone who only watched the movie and asked whether if it was a mistake that agatha went to the school of good or not- I can't believe how they managed to mess up the adaptation this bad it's 2022 for god's sake

I just finished watching the SGE movie and HOLY SHIT!!!!!!!!! School for Good and Evil better get some major fucking hype on here or I will scream!

It was amazing immaculate absolutely stupendous!! This movie slapped so hard

The costume design the world building design!!!!!!!!!!!

THE CASTING!!!!!!! I already knew it was fantastic but like seeing everyone in action was entirely different! Everyone was amazing I was blown away entirely by how perfect everyone was! I was immersed into this world all over again by them all! There is no one else I could possibly see playing these characters now these people are who they are!!

PLEASE!!!!!! someone else scream with me about this movie I am way too hyped to be surrounded by people who don’t know was it is!!!

i wonder where soman got the idea to make em sisters, because i don't think he planned this from the start. do you think he was writing book 3, running out of time and was like "oh shoot what plot twist should I shove at the end of the story??". and then went "i know let's make the queer coded protagonists of the series, who literally kissed in book one, biological sisters!". and then he never brings it up again or DOES something about it so it feels a little worth it. it's just a throwaway plot point. a plot twist for the sake of a plot twist. all it does it make agaphie shippers feel awkward whenever they want to enjoy their ship. i'm more of a nicphie girl but agaphie deserved better

The ship really does deserve better, a theory a friend of my girlfriend had was that an editor made him do the no homo sisters twist, but I don't know enough about Soman to say if that holds water. Either way I say that we should just ignore it, any book past the first one has just destroyed what the books set out to do. The subversive nature of the story is only true for book one.

Just finished the Fear Street trilogy&although there are very sweet NonCanon sibling dynamics in all 3 films, part 2 was my favorite.

Ziggy and Cindy were... idk how to properly describe my feels?

I'm just in awe of their dynamic and the way their relationship in that film was centered above everything else+the growth journey they went on+the end??? like I could write a 16 page essay about their last scene.

My level of investment in them reached astronomical heights

Watched this movie on Netflix after I watched fear street&

Agatha/Sophie share a literal true love's kiss in the film-

So I go to twitter afterwards expecting to see some shipping for Agatha/Sophie

and instead normies who have read the books are saying in wink wink nudge nudge terms that No One should be shipping them

because in a later book it's revealed that Agatha&Sophie are sisters--

Which of course makes Me ship them 20 times harder than I already was&

I assume (unless Netflix are cowards) if this series gets more films they will also have a reveal of them being siblings or half siblings later down the line...

So this is a limbo rec tbh? but I had to do it just in case.

~The school for good and evil movie was released on the 11 of November (the day the children get kidnapped)

~The hunger games movie was released on July 4th (reaping day) or May 12th (Katniss' Birthday)

~The Divergent movie was released on the Choosing ceremony day

~The Harry Potter movie was released on the 1st of September (When they go to Hogwarts) July 31st (harrys birthday and when he first defeated Voldemort) or on the 2nd of May (the day of the Battle of Hogwarts)
