finished the last season of manifest and some ship thoughts!

ive been saying it since drea showed up but seriously, mick x jared x drea ot3 come on!!!! poly detectives pls let hope have three parents 2k24

i was surprised they gave benvi a canon moment but i was here for it :') that one episode where saanvi kisses him for a cover but ben doesnt even seem phased and only gives her a Look at the end of the episode has very strong "this never occured to me before but actually this makes more sense" vibes from ben 😂 like even his reaction after they kissed for cover felt so platonic (imo) but then later on he realizes that subconsciously he's been heading there this whole time and he has an "oh" moment, but it's more like an "oh, duh" moment

niche but that scene where jared gives joe's kid a hug and then later on in the season when joe is so lovingly showing jared (and the stones) photos of charlie makes me think jared x joe would be cute, esp cuz jared wants kids so bad and he was so good with charlie

EAGAN AND ADRIAN AM I RIGHT????? man i was already thinking they'd be funny to ship together because they're both kinda self-serving disasters that have hearts deep, deeeeeeeeep down, but that moment when they held hands with the necklace between them? and then starting a business together when they land back in 2013??? so many options for them 😂 even just adrian showing up to angelina and eagan being married and being like dude wtf??? with the added emotional plot of being lowkey jealous and not sure why is a really funny fic idea

ultimately, i liked what they did w the ending tho! it was really cute what they did with tj and the girl older!cal dated, esp cuz both their s.o.'s kinda de-aged on them 😂 i also really love drea so im glad they had jared meet her right then, and it was cute how mick searched the cabs for zeke :') and it's not often we see a bi girl end up with the girl in her love triangle so that was nice for saanvi too yayay 🥰🥰

eagan tehrani x stone!reader headcanons part 4

warnings: mostly fluff but it does get slightly smutty 🤭 also kinda spoilers for queen charlotte oops lol

-ok so since in my little universe Eagan doesn’t go to prison, when Adrian’s compound for the passengers gets blown up Eagan feels bad and gets him a motel room

-you and Eagan were out following a calling together when you ran into Adrian

-you mayyy have snuck out of the house to go with him

-Eagan and Ben have a frenemies thing going on and Ben doesn’t exactly love you hanging out with him

-so you just didn’t say anything!! LOL

-you don’t know Adrian as well so you just stay in the room with Eagan

-but there’s only one bed

-🤭

-you spend the night just chilling in bed talking

-it’s also the middle of winter because IN SEASON 4 THERE WAS SNOW

-so it’s cold

-and those motel blankets look gross and not very warm

-so he gives you his jacket to use as a blanket

-and you literally curl up into a ball under it

-“your dad would be pissed if he knew we were sleeping in the same bed”

-“good thing he doesn’t know”

-at this point you’re just inching closer

-he tucks your hair behind your ear and tips your chin up towards him

-then he kisses you FINALLY

-it’s so soft and gentle

-when you pull back from the kiss you look up at him and whisper

-“I love you, Eagan”

-his eyes soften and he barely gets out “I love you, I love you, I love you” before he takes your face in his hands and kisses you again

-(in my queen charlotte era think that iconic scene where george is all choked up and is like “my heart calls your name” and then kisses her 🥹)

-deeper this time

-you melt into him, into the bed as he climbs on top of you

-you run your hands through his hair

-letting out a soft moan as his lips trail down to your neck

-finding the exact spot that got you to cave in his kitchen

-nipping at that spot and then moving up to your ear, making you shiver

-that photographic memory comes in reeeeally handy lol

-after he just kisses your forehead and you curl up against his chest to fall asleep

-he traces your temples as you doze off

-when mick and zeke show up because Adrian went missing you and Eagan have both had the warehouse calling

-when Eagan runs into Adrian’s room and you follow mick is immediately like

-“what the actual fuck-“

-and zeke being the sweet adorable guy that he is is like “what she means to say is , y/n what are you doing here? we all thought you were at home.”

-“I was just helping with a calling. Mick please dont tell dad.”

-she’s def very suspicious and like it’s so obvious but she promises she won’t tell

-as soon as she walks out of the room zeke literally comes up to you almost laughing and whispers “i could literally feel how flustered you are from outside the motel,” and walks out to the car with mick

-and Eagan is all smug like “oh? i got you flustered, did I?” and pulls you out of view from the window to pull you into a kiss and tickle you

-he’s shushing you as you start giggling and smiling into the kiss

-he sleeps on the couch that night

-youuu sneak downstairs to make out with him in the middle of the night

-he definitely leaves a hickey in a really obvious place on your neck

-when you come down for breakfast in the morning zeke subtly points it out to you and you quick run upstairs to cover it

-also side note but you’re besties with zeke

-when you ask if he’s gonna tell your dad or mick he’s like “of course I won’t. girl code” and zips his lips.

-you’re laughing at him because of course mick taught him that

-when you go to saanvi and vance’s lab to make Eagan have a calling you sit by the bed the whole time

-when saanvi yanks him out of the calling you immediately grab his hand

-seeing him in pain was terrifying

-but you hide it from saanvi and Vance

-except for squeezing his hand

-once they’re gone you pull him into the biggest hug

-when he sees marco’s calling and decides to go to the soup kitchen where the omega sapphire is you go together

-it’s pretty boring but you love spending the time with him when no one else is around

-& stealing kisses when no one is looking

-when you go down to the basement and make it through to the boiler room mick and saanvi are both like 😮

-mick is so onto you now

-so you tell her

-and she’s literally like “im so telling on you when we get home”

-but she thinks you’re cute

-he helps you up on his shoulders to reach some of the bricks where the tiles need to go

-in my version of the story he doesn’t steal the sapphire. angelina comes and steals it somehow because we hate angelina here

-don’t know how to end this lol but lmk if you want part 6!!!

-I don’t know where that dog came from or where it went in the show but in my brain Eagan just has a dog

Books that I’ve read recently and would recommend. 🖤 Part 2

A Dowry of Blood by S. T. Gibson. A reimagining of Dracula’s brides, written in letters to Dracula from his first wife, Constanta. I love anything vampire-related and can’t even describe how much I loved this book.

A God in the Shed by J. -F. Dubeau. A fantastic horror novel set in a messed up little town. A murder investigation, a serial killer, a god trapped in a shed (literally), the occult, ancient evils, blood and gore, and lots of twists and turns.

The Poppy War by R. F. Kuang. A historical/grimdark fantasy novel heavily inspired by the Second Sino-Japanese war. Very violent and graphic, but an amazing read.

My Best Friend’s Exorcism by Grady Hendrix. A fun 80s demon possession story set during the satanic panic. A teen girl drops acid, gets lost in the woods, and accidentally gets possessed by a demon — and it’s up to her friend to save her. Gorey and campy.

Maggie’s Grave by David Sodergren. A pregnant woman, falsely accused of being a witch and brutally murdered, takes revenge on a Scottish town centuries later. Fun, fast-paced folk horror meets splatterpunk with an endless amount of gore.

The Island by Adrian McKinty. A tense, fast-paced thriller set in in an island off of the coast of Australia. This book genuinely stressed me out and made me want to bite my nails, but I couldn’t put it down. A bit of Wolf Creek vibes.

Delicious Monsters by Liselle Sambury. A ghost story and psychological horror with dual timelines. Family drama, a haunted house, toxic parents, etc.

Never Lie by Freida McFadden. A psychological thriller with a great twist. When their realtor doesn’t show up, newlyweds take shelter from a blizzard in a manor that belongs to a missing psychiatrist.

Six Crimson Cranes by Elizabeth Lim. This book and the world within it makes my heart flutter. A dreamy, whimsical fairy tale blended with East Asian folklore.

The Overnight Guest by Heather Gudenkauf. An atmospheric mystery/thriller. A writer travels to an isolated farmhouse where two unsolved murders and the disappearance of a girl took place decades earlier, and plans to finish her book while snowed in. Things go down hill after she finds a young child outside and decides to bring him in from the cold.

Clytemnestra by Costanza Casati. A retelling of Greek mythology, and such a beautiful and heartbreaking book.

A Day of Fallen Night by Samantha Shannon. A a high fantasy novel and standalone prequel to The Priory of the Orange Tree. Amazing world building, amazing writing, amazing characters, and dragons.

Ring by Koji Suzuki. I’ve always loved the films, both Ringu and The Ring, but I’ve never read the book until now and I highly recommend it if you haven’t either.
