ALL THE REP TV EASTER EGGS IN THE NEW AFTERGLOW MV !!

The first image shows a graveyard that we saw in the background when actors Charlie and YN were walking down a path, it’s the same one from the LWYMMD music video. When they were on a date at Olive Garden (which was included in NBNC and this song has a rep feel to it) YN’s phone has new year’s day playing and one of the rings on her hand is a snake ring. The black and white colour scheme of the heart on the building is the same as the reputation colour scheme. The TS written in the sand was first thought to be a Debut (Taylor’s Version) hint but after the overpowering reputation hints perhaps it means reputation (Taylor’s Version). There was a bracelet in the background of YN and Charlie’s kiss in the mv (which took place in YN’s bedroom) where in the background there was a black bracelet among the pink colour scheme that said “REP”. The paper on Charlie’s desk littered with kisses from YN had lyrics to So It Goes… on it.

As your Captain ・ Barcelona Femení

This one is for these two requests although I have slightly changed it, I might have forgotten what the original request was, but I hope you enjoy!

Requests: "Can we have some angst/hurt with Barcelona girls or lionesses?"

"Hopping in on the request because you are the best 🤩🤩🤩🤩 Would you write one where the girls wrongfully got the message that Y/N would move to Lyon or worse Real Madrid and the team gives her the cold shoulder and very angry training sessions, Y/N notices after a few days and every attempt of dialogue fails. Having enough Y/N lets all her frustration out when no one expected it, lots of tears and anger and most importantly disappointment. She disappears for hours and it's freezing cold and the girls in the meantime found it was a lie to jeopardize the time. They’re all frantically searching for her and trying to call, she comes to training the next morning, none of the girls sleeps, soaked in rain and not able to talk to her cold temperature and shivering. She catches a intense flu and the team has absolutely never felt worse"

The final whistle of the match is blown and you excitedly run towards Mapi before jumping on her back and the two of you join the rest of the team celebrating.

Your team had won 5-0 to Real Madrid with you assisting a goal and scoring one of your own as well.

As you glance over to the other side of the field you take in the way Misa lazily picks up her goalie gloves she had previously thrown to the ground. A frown takes over your features when you see her try to wipe her tears away, tears that obviously weren’t anywhere near stopping.

You were always one to respect your opponents especially if they were on the same national team as you, you had seen the way Misa desperately tried to get her team together in the match. She was captain and truthfully she was the only one actually playing for Real Madrid today.

You don’t wait long as you make your way towards her and gently pull the taller girl into your arms, whispering praises into her ear as you try to comfort her.

Misa was your friend on the Spanish team and you knew she’d be more disappointed in her own performance than anyone else’s.

She holds onto you as well, burying her face into your shoulder, occasionally nodding at your words and she thanks you when you tell her you need to get back to your team.

Your actions didn’t go unnoticed by the Barca girls, or the cameras and fans at that and they all watched, confused.

No one thinks about it for too long though as you and the girls get back to the locker room and celebrate the wonderful win.

A few days after the match you notice the sudden change in air from your teammates.

You feel their eyes on you, watching your every step, yet when you’d turn around they would already be busy with something.

They also haven’t said much, at least not to you which was very unusual as usually you and most of the younger girls would be joking around, loudly laughing at each other whenever you got the chance.

Not now though.

Training has been a bit different, your training partner, Patri had switched with someone else and now you had Marta.

It’s not that you didn’t like the girl, you really did, but you were used to training with Patri and her switching up without a word left you hurt and confused.

You knew the defenders on your team could be aggressive, but what you were experiencing right now was far from how teammates would challenge each other.

Their main target seemed to be you and you only. Tackles were sent your way left and right at every drill and you were sure that someone also tripped you up on purpose when you were walking to the back of the line.

It hurt. You didn’t know why they had been avoiding you and why so suddenly. You had thought over everything you had done in the past week that could have made 22 people have it out for you, but nothing came to mind.

Team chemistry was off. It was obvious to you, to your teammates and most importantly to the coach and staff members.

Jonatan had also taken notice of how you seemed to always end up on the ground in drills that on any other day you could have done in your sleep.

It isn’t until you’re clutching your ankle, laying on the turf as you try to breathe through the pain, that he actually intervenes.

As a medic makes his way over to you, Jonatan calls your name from not too far at the sidelines.

“Y/L/N, I want you in my office after practice!”

Your ankle had been fine after checking it out but you did have a small limp as you walked into the coach’s office, ready to talk with him.

As you take a seat in front of Jonatan, he doesn’t waste time as he gets right into it.

“Y/N I’ve noticed how the team isn’t connecting and I know you have too. As captain, and especially now since Alexia isn’t here, I need you to figure out what happened.

Whatever it is, you need to fix it, talk to them. We can’t go into a match like this.” you nod at his words and as you get excused, you immediately walk to the changing room where you knew the rest of the girls would be.

For the first time in a week they acknowledge your presence as you walk in and instantly take notice of the hard look on your face.

You looked mad, something that scared them since you rarely showed this side of you to them. The girls in the room freeze in their movements as they look up at you, silence overtaking the room and they watch as you slightly limp towards your bag.

Shoving your shin guards into it you also turn towards them. Your voice is cold and eerily emotionless as you start to speak.

“I have no idea what happened or if I’ve done something but it’s clearly affecting our performance as a team and I won’t have that. I’m telling you this as your captain, if you don’t get yourselves together and communicate what you’re feeling then I’ll gladly sit you out on our next game.

As captain it is my job to take care of the players but I can not do that if you guys ignore my existence. This is unacceptable and I don’t think I deserve this!”

The last part is spoken harshly and some of the girls visibly shiver at your tone.

Looking around the changing room most of your teammates’ heads are lowered, a guilty look on their faces, but Mapi, Patri and Mariona glare at you, a look you can only give back to them.

You leave the room at the silence you receive and make your way to one of the other offices.

Back in the changing-room Irene takes the team's silence as her chance to speak up, she had been one of the few who hadn’t totally ignored your presence after the ElClásico.

The barca team finds themselves in Jonatan’s office less than fifteen minutes after you’ve left and Jonatan looks at them panicked as he’s bombarded with questions.

“What? Repeat that question?” he asks as utter confusion and surprise is written all over his face.

“Has Y/N already signed with Real Madrid?” Aitana questions again, this time saying it slower, but the coach only stares at the group of football players standing in front of him.

They shuffle uncomfortably under the man’s gaze before he talks.

“Now where the hell did you hear that from?” it’s now the team’s turn to stare at him now as they take in what he’s saying.

“So wait, Y/N isn’t transferring to Real?” Patri is the one who voices her thoughts first.

“No, no of course not!” Jonatan laughs at the idea of you ever wearing the Real Madrid badge over your heart, you had made your distaste towards the club clear to him.

“But everyone keeps talking about it!”

“Who’s everyone? Girls, don’t tell me you got this information from the internet, you didn’t believe another rumor now, did you?” the coach looks at them expectantly before sighing at their guilty faces and he rubs at his face for a second.

“It was only because of the whole Lyon thing from last time, people kept saying she’d transfer to them and well, yeah, we believed another rumor.” Pina admits, her voice growing quieter by the end.

“But we also discussed last time that it was only because she signed the contract extension with Barca late, right?” they nod at his words.

“Look, I understand that you misunderstood the situation and I now also know why you guys haven’t been doing too well in training, but this is very immature of you all.

No one is transferring anywhere unless your captain or I say so. And the way you’ve handled this is disappointing, Y/N is your teammate, she’s family and family shouldn't be treated like this.”

As he lectures the girls, they all nod along, admitting they’ve been wrong and that they’d like to fix it.

“Y/N is in another meeting right now, but I suggest you talk with her first thing tomorrow at training.”

When the team walks into the training center the next day they take notice of your bag already sitting in your cubby, or rather still sitting there.

Training soon starts and as they try to get a look at you they see the dark circles under your eyes and your somewhat puffy cheeks. You looked exhausted and you were barely halfway through training.

A sloppy move from Lucy results in you sitting on the turf as you try to catch your breath and she is instantly standing in front of you, helping you up and apologizing.

You dismiss her and start towards the beginning of the drill when you stumble slightly. The brunette is there to catch you when your body decides to give up and you pass out.

The team runs over worriedly as the medics make space to get you off the field. They watch as you’re carried into the medical room before having to resume practice.

Thirty minutes later they’re all crowded in the unusually spacious medical room and Claudia takes a hold of your hand when she sees the state you’re in.

You have cooling rags placed all over your body and you look exhausted as you breathe slowly. The medic fills them in on the diagnosis, telling them that you’ve got a fever and have also overworked your body.

When some of the girls look at her weird she goes into detail.

“Y/N stays the night at the facility sometimes to get in extra training or work on something. Security has gotten used to her being here at this point and let her have the pitch to herself for the night.

Unfortunately Y/N over here has forgotten that temperatures have dropped during the night and she’s caught a cold now.” she tells them with an amused chuckle and the team looks at you sadly.

Mapi walks over, gently running her finger through your hair and she smiles when you lean into her touch slightly.

A sneeze breaks the team out of their trance and you reach for a tissue as you blow out your nose.

The room is immediately in chaos as everyone tries to apologize for their behavior and you smile up at them gently when both Pina and Mapi explain the situation.

As they calm down a bit they make a show of apologizing to you one by one before promising that they wouldn’t believe another rumor unless you’d tell them yourself.

You’re taken care of by your teammates for the next week until you get better and they shower you in love and small acts of kindness, still feeling incredibly bad for how they’ve treated you.

You soak up the love you’ve missed out on, but you still couldn’t have asked to be part of a better family.

Barcelona was your home and you wouldn’t trade it for any other team.

day five of twelve days of rina: favorite episodes 🤩

I’m doing one from each season because I’m like that and can’t choose

season one: episode five - homecoming

homecoming is obviously one of the most important and essential episodes to rina’s storyline. This is where they all got started, this is when they really started to shine, and obviously without this episode there really wouldn’t be a rina. their chemistry was off the charts in this episode and honestly going back and seeing how genuine they are with each other and how they can be so fresh and just honest with each other; man it really is something else. rini never held a candle to rina, looking back on it. They never stood a chance. “I thought we sort of, like, got each other” and “You know I meant what I said. at the skate park, about you having your own style. I don't even think I knew how much I meant it when I said it.” like dude. monumental. Already these two characters are having such a profound effect on each other and it’s been only a couple of months. AND THE CHEEK KISS. THE FREAKING CHEEK KISS. because for me, rina was never really a thought in my mind until that kiss. Until Gina showed me that she was opening up her hard heart to the brown curly haired boy with the great voice and sass for days. until Ricky showed me he wasn’t opposed to it. until their chemistry was so off the charts I was blown away.

season two: episode four - the quincenero

okay, hear me out, this episode is actually pretty important to rina. There’s a ton of character growth from Gina specifically. obviously there are other moments but I really do like the moment where Ricky comes to Gina for advice about nini and she says that maybe they shouldn’t give advice to each other and she’s not nini. which I think is a beautiful parallel, looking back on it, to when Ricky didn’t try and convince Gina to stay in slc and not do the movie because he’d already had an experience with nini where he did tell her that and she completely fumbled and freaked out. which, understandable, whatever. That’s her. But the thing is, that’s what gina wants. Gina wants to be set apart from nini, Gina is completely different from nini and in this episode she’s trying to tell him that (which she’s right, bc nini did not like it at all when Ricky revealed he’d talked to miss Jenn about getting nini in the show, but the fact remains is that Gina said she’d be flattered but said “I’m not nini and we’re not dating” to try and tell Ricky that maybe that’s not what nini wants). Gina is telling him that the things that work for her are not going to work for nini because they are two different people and their relationships - both romantic and platonic, current and future - are entirely different. which is so profound and beautiful when you compare that to Ricky’s aversion of change and you see how nini and Ricky’s relationship began to fail because Ricky was using things Gina had told him all along. which is kind of emotional cheating but wtv. anyways, the fact that Ricky was dating the person he was “most comfortable with” but using the girl who represents change’s advice is something I just love. And I’m sure I’m not explaining it well, so if anyone sees this and wants to add/explain better pls do.

season three: episode five - the real campers of shallow lake

okay I absolutely love this episode and not just because of the rina content. everything about the drama between Maddox and jet to portwell drama to Ashlyn and Val and obviously Ricky angst and feisty gina makes this episode so 💋 but obviously, I’m here to talk about the what do you know about love duet. Which Ricky/josh and Gina/sofia ABSOLUTELY SLAPPED and I gave them a standing ovation as soon as it was finished. because this was EVERYTHING. Kourtney’s clear approval, Val’s interpretation of the whole thing, their freaking history, Carlos’s encouragement, ej’s uncomfortableness, it’s all perfection. their playful banter, their voices, this being their first duet, ugh it does things to me. And the fact that it really does represent gina as anna and Ricky as Kristoff seeing that Gina is in a brand new relationship and thinks everything is rainbows and butterflies while Ricky, who has only experienced love where he has to work for the other person and strive to make things work instead of it being more effortless and easy (as rina are later) is amazing and beautiful. I could explain this more later but I don’t want to run out of room so if you want to know more, lmk. and also the “rebound” afterwards where RICKY APOLOGIZES FOR HIS INTENSITY KNOWING GI WAS EQUALLY AS INTENSE because he knows something is up with ej. but he wants to be there for gi. He wants her first relationship to go well, and he defends her to ej as well telling him that she’s just tired and coming down from the rehearsal. watch out world, Ricky Bowen will defend Gina Porter with his entire being.

season four: episode five - admissions

AGHHHHHHHHHH this episode lowkey might be my favorite of the entire series. but then again I loved every moment of every episode so I won’t say that. But this episode is MONUMENTAL for both Gina and Ricky and especially in their relationship. Gina finally opens up to her mom abt her and Ricky, Ricky opens up to ej about his fears and confronts his tendency to hide when things go wrong, and it all culminates in a beautiful second chance confession rain kiss spin hug. UGH, Tim, my FRICKIN HEART! I really do love the conversation between ej and Ricky because they truly are brothers and besties. ej truly helps Ricky so so much. And I could have a whole conversation about their conversation and all the ways it is beautiful but I won’t. Gina, meanwhile, is coming to the realization that Ricky is her inspiration and Ricky is the reason why she is happy. Ricky Bowen makes her the happiest she has ever been and it physically hurts her that her mother does not know this (it hurt me, as a viewer!) and the beautiful second chance playing as Ricky sees Mack and Gina and turns away~ it really shows that 02x12 really was about Gina all along, it was never about lilly. it was always Gina. nobody else ever stood a chance.

Just got done seeing "Abigail". That movie was funnier than I expected it to be. But it was actually really good and fun. Melissa I am so happy for you girl 🤩. Also that little girl who played Abigail was amazing 🤣. What really shined to me was how much I liked the cast's chemistry. BE WARNED: THE GORE IS GORY!!!! But I would watch this movie again and I liked the ending.

Anyway...!!

This is a CANONICAL EVENT that took place during part two of the season six finale (officially episode 25)!!!!!!!!!!

I watched that Hawaii Five-0 episode the very first time it aired, back on May 25th, 2016 when I was 17 years old!!!!

It was-and still is!!-an absolutely monumental moment from Danny and Steve's relationship!!!!

Both episodes are completely BONKERS (as most Five-0 finales tended to be!!) and so filled to the brim with chaotic energy.

The thing that is the most important here/with this specific case is that when the doctor came out and said that Steve would need a new liver, all of the other Five-0 team members immediately volunteered, but Danny was the only one who said, "Take me, I KNOW that Steve and I have the same blood type."

So the doctor was all, "Alright, bet!" And began prepping Danny for the surgery!!!

Later at the very end of the episode, we saw the men recovering together in the same hospital room. 🥺🥹😭🤧🤩🥰💞💗💓

In conclusion, Danny Williams and Steve McGarrett, aka McDanno are a ship that dreams are made of!!!!!

They have fantastic chemistry with each other, which of course is in part due to their actors, Scott Caan (Danny!) and Alex O'Loughlin (Steve!)!!!

The writers/producers/show runners gave us so much amazing content for them that a large majority of us fans see them as THE canon ship, even though they never kissed. 🥲

This pair constantly told each other "I love you" and were a true, more-than-work-buddies PARTNER to each other all the way through.

Danny and Steve are precious, special, and so (SO!!) important to me!!!!!!!!

The end of the series unfortunately did them so dirty, but I still miss them and their weekly on-screen gay love affair. 🥺😩🤧😔

here are my thoughts and things and whatever translation weirdness I find as I re-read ch 2 of Trigun Maximum vol 6!

(NOTE: I'm reading the Dark Horse [physical] and the Overhaul [online] translations side-by-side)

I've already commented on how this chapter starts here.

(Dark Horse on top, Overhaul on bottom)

the wording of the two translations are similar enough - it's the nuances here that I wanna focus on. "Keep it up" VS "Keep up the good work" - again, the Overhaul's more explicit/straightforward, and I appreciate that =u= and as you can see, Dark Horse's wording on that last speech bubble was a source of confusion for me, bc the way they word it, imo it rly does sound like Zazie's referring to Vash? which...now that I think about it, might not make sense? idk. Dark Horse vague. Overhaul not.

and again! except here, Dark Horse had me thinking Wolfwood was referring to Zazie - but in the Overhaul, it's clear to me that he's actually referring to Knives. I wonder if that potential mix-up is why Dark Horse ended up keeping "pests" here? it otherwise tends to avoid terms like "pests" and "insects"...

then, the last bit. both translations make sense, but in different contexts. Dark Horse's makes sense narratively as it leads into Wolfwood's post-Fifth Moon flashback. the Overhaul's makes sense given what we've seen about how Wolfwood tends to think - frequent absolutes like "that's just the way it is."

again, nuance. the wording of what Knives says to Wolfwood seems so much more sinister to me the way the Overhaul does it - not so much a command as this wicked assurance - "you WILL do this. you WILL obey me."

and again with "you WILL" + more subtle differences in wording. also, I think it's interesting how Dark Horse goes with "life forms" while the Overhaul uses "species" - prolly for the same reason Dark Horse cuts out most of the "pests" and "insects" I'd imagine.

also gzjthfxfjx Wolfwood making the connection with both brothers being capable of super-strong emotional projection/telepathy! 🤩

...it's just hitting me that Wolfwood's now been in a position to eliminate BOTH twins...

...both times in moments of apparent weakness - but I think it's more like...the twins were aware, and trusted that either (a) Wolfwood wouldn't pull the trigger or, if he does, (b) they'd survive it. the key difference, I'd say, is that Vash looked at it in good faith while Knives looked at it in bad faith.

Dark Horse's vagueness always confused me here, too. thank you once again, Overhaul, for being so much more straightforward =u=

ok ok so!! (Assuming that) The visions affect the body of an allogene, i like to think that an allogene would actually be a bit more vulnerable towards their own element instead of being more resistant to it! (depending on the allogene and vision)

Because despite their visions, they're still very much human/humanoid, which means their bodies have limitations it can't pass without it getting deadly!

So for example instead of a cryo allogene being more resistant to the cold, or a pyro one being more resistant to the heat, they're actually much more vulnerable towards such temperatures because their own body temperature has already been slightly altered by their vision! So a cryo allogene would be more at risk to start getting frostbite/hypothermia while in a snowy area, and a pyro allogene would be more at risk of getting a heatstroke in the desert if they don't frequently cool themselves off,

Or electro and anemo users having a slightly more "efficient"(?) body due to the increased electricity/oxygen, but electro users being also much more conductive than normal and having to be extra careful around stray electrical currents because any more electricity in their bodies and they could get Very hurt due to the body system getting all messed up. But a good thing about their electricity is that, if it also affects the speed at which a body's electrical current runs, it could maybe even affect their brains, making them possibly think/process things faster and have a faster reaction time to things! (I don't really know the advantages and disadvantages of having an increased oxygen and water percentage in your body, sorry)

With dendro I'm still not really sure what would happen to you.. but i think it would be a fun thought if they could use their vision to somehow communicate (via sensations?) with mycelium! (since mycelium/mushrooms are cursed beings and I absolutely love their absurdity and the fact that they can't be classified as plants)

But yeah it's just some things like that!! :DD

Another thing i had been wondering was how Exactly could anemo users actually use their visions. Since Anemo is Wind and not just pure oxygen, so are they only able to manipulate wind or generate the particles that make up wind itself? If it's the last option, would they be, theoretically, (if they're an Incredibly skilled anemo wielder) "breathe" underwater by repeatedly breathing out and using their vision inside of their lungs to have a constant oxygen supply??

I have the same thoughts!! If pyro users feel more comfortable in the cold, wouldn't that mean hot temperatures would bother them even more?

I mean, ofc! they do have better resistance. but if you've ever studies chemistry then you'd know there's a certain threshold that would be just too much for them! so while they won't be burned as easily, their constitution would still suffer as the result of heat- i do believe it doesnt have to apply on all elements though.

and for anemo in water!! hmm i suppose skilled ones would be able to breathe underwater. for me, anemo centers more on "wind", since controlling and producing oxygen would just make them really powerful now huh// so anemo to me focuses on controlling air, which in result would control oxygen to some extent!!

1 - Which of your fics would you keep the basic plot of but rewrite completely?

💀💀💀 well you see. I might be doing that right now 🤭

ok. i'm only half-kidding. i'm not rewriting all of call of the night, but it is in the process of getting a major overhaul (the first several chapters are actually getting fully rewritten, and there are going to be HEAVY edits to the first half, and moderate-to-light edits on the second half) because I love that fic, I think it's such a great fun plot, but both 17 year old and 24 year old shannon need to let [REDACTED] year old shannon have a swing at it. i'm not changing any parts of the story plot-wise, but I am polishing it a lot so that its a more straightforward, adventure/mystery-driven story. because holy shit did past me loooove to tell instead of show.

also I would 100% rewrite parts of the hunted, too (just cause I think I could make it better on a sentence-level but also I could definitely make that fic a little longer and a little more fucked up 🤠)

What is it about watching the same two idiots falling in love over and over again?

it's so wonderful!!! because with any ship, there is already something in canon that makes you fucking feral over them; whether they're an established couple, have a fraught relationship, or share some insane chemistry/sexual tension, there is always that little something that draws you toward a ship!!

for me it's usually a dynamic that I go for. not all of my ships fit the same mold, but there's definitely a pattern for me. I love ships where person A has committed atrocities and/or has a fucked up past—a 'doesn't speak unless spoken to' -type bitch who (in some cases) is a bit of an asshole—and person B is a little (or a lot) more outgoing and considered the "good" one, but definitely has that in-universe potential to be a fucked up little monster; a real 'you're a good guy so I guess it's fine if you sometimes get a little morally gray for the sake of the plot' -type bitch. i'm talking vegebul, bbrae, sasusaku, zutara, reylo, jalice, griddlehark—the list goes on man. i've got a Type! ♡

but in fic! watching them fall in love! over and over again!! is incredible! because you get to take this ship—this dynamic you love so dearly between two characters you cherish—and put them in SITUATIONS 🤩 canon only gives you so much to work with (whether that's plot, characterization, etc) so it's so fun to create, and see how other people create new stories and adventures and obstacles for these characters! I wanna watch them fall in love 1000 times because there are an infinite amount of #situations these assholes can get put into, and I just want to see what they'd do 🥰

also I know I already answered 11 but now I just want to bitch a bit about more things. in no particular order: I can't STAND love triangles or jealousy plotlines, and a lot of modern AUs bore the piss out of me 💔
