he's not weak or naive or anything like that - in fact, i think if he wasn't the Family Baby, doomed to be coddled by raph until he's idk 30, mikey might've been one of the stronger fighters. i mean his weapon of choice in this iteration is the infamous kusarifundo; viciously hard to practice without hurting yourself. idk how splinter managed to train him in those 5-minute commercial breaks. the chains are also fire-generating btw. and the fire might be sentient?? who knows. his affinity for mystic power is off the CHARTS. first episode in - first episode!!! - mikey's opening the gate to the hidden city bc yeah, he can do that. his brothers cant. at 15 he rips open a portal out of sheer faith. no one is teaching him this shit btw. he just pulls it off. just child prodigy tingz

he's pure potential, unpolished and untapped, and he gets to be the carefree younger sibling bc his older brothers decided to bear the burden of leading and protecting the clan. everyone knows mikey's special, but no one's rushing him to fulfill his destiny or whatever. he gets to eat pizza and cook fun elaborate meals and goof off like a kid, bc he IS (for now)

meanwhile mikey in the bad future timeline: a literal time god, balding at 30, the only reason why humanity ever gets a second chance in the first place

Today I saw a woman on twitter criticizing and wanting to correct a word in Spanish, what was the word is the least important and what strikes me is that this woman does not even speak Spanish or know Spanish and, even so, this person spoke with security and affirmation about things that obviously don't know. I think that this security that these (those whom we call gringos) have in "having better knowledge" about others comes along with the imperialist part that at some point was discreetly implanted in their way of being. Imperialist behavior right there smm. In addition, the criticism towards the language that is present in all Latinamerican countries (except those that use Portuguese, obviously) and even Spain, is completely stupid and gives vibes of wanting to change the language because it doesn't sound good to them.

Spanish-speaking people handle Spanish based on their grammatical rules.

Language being something so coarse in the entire history of humanity, in every country, in every comunity, this person doesn´t crossed in they mind the idea that language is an enormous immensity with many forms and that is why the words are diferent, that is why in spanish we have genders for words (complety diferrent to words in english), and that we don't need any Anglo-Saxon to come and give us a pseudo-correction of our language that you they don't even know.

ok i love future leo and mikey being wisened, mature role models of the resistance but i'm haunted. haunted. by those few years the story left out

what were they like, as a pair???? easily, i hc their recklessness feeding off on each other, them being unhinged and highkey intimidating to anyone who didn't know them Before bc that's..... what grief does to people...... raph dies first and they're like, "nothing like this is ever happening again." but of course it does, a few years later with DONNIE and they just. kind of stop functioning. it's 30-something leo coming back to their hideout drenched in kraang gore. it's donnie dying a day before mikey's 29nd birthday and that's when he unlocks a new level of his mystic power, the day he takes out a whole kraang fleet. how casey's first clear memory of uncle mikey is this brittle, angry, insubordinate thing that leo keeps trying (and failing) to keep in line. remember how defiant mikey was when leo was "lost" to them? it's that but years of it. years of trial and error, mikey disappearing and reappearing, and they're never gonna get them back, are they? not this time

im insane i wonder abt this so often even more than i wonder about how raph and donnie went out. i want the corruption era so bad like you can't tell me mikey and leo didn't absolutely spend a few LEGENDARY years BATSHIT CRAZY only to blank out when people bring up those years again; there is one brain cell in this family and raph and donnie took it with them
