Has any ever considered holding a Zekina Secret Santa? Like you get a name and make some fanfic/fanart/aesthetic/meta/etc. of/about Zekina for them for Christmas? I've seen a lot of fandoms do it and it always seems like people have a lot of fun with it! Also, would you consider holding another Zekina week this year?

hey there anon! Again sorry for the long wait. I thought about this for quite some time now.

I have considered something like that but it's a lot of work and I alread don't have much time for fandom as it is so organizing a Secret Santa would be a lot of work plus I haven't done that before.

But if someone else wants to create a Secret Santa, I'll be happy to help and join!

As for another Zekina Week: I don't think there will be another one this year xD Again I don't have as much time as I'd like atm.

But there will be absolutely one next year! That is not a question!

If 1. - 7. May worked for everyone we can just make that the annual Zekina Week? Or maybe first sunday in May until friday.

See More Seymour's Week- Platonic Relationship Day

It's platonic relationship day for See More Seymour's Week (@seemoreseymoursbay) so I'm posting about one of my favorite background platonic relationships on the show- Rudy and Zeke! Alas, I don't have a fic about them to share but I still want to talk about them!

I always think it is interesting when the show shows relationships between kids at Wagstaff that don't involve the Belchers, and especially when it's kids who aren't in the same grade. And Zeke and Rudy are such a fun pair because they have some clear similarities (they are both really friendly and good natured) but also some notable differences (Rudy's pretty sensible, Zeke has a problem with impulse control).

Some canon highlights:

Them acting opposite each other in "Work Hard or Die Trying Girl"- with Zeke throwing wrestling into their number (to Rudy's approval despite getting crushed).

Rudy telling Zeke to shut up- and then immediately apologizing-in "Midday Run".

The flashback to them playing basketball in "Y Tu Ga-Ga Tambien"- honestly this is one of my favorites as it indicates that Zeke just really enjoys hanging out with Rudy- because Zeke is clearly not getting much athletic competition there!

Them being big fish and little fish in "A Fish Called Tina"- "I still think that Zeke might be my soulmate"

Zeke's concern over Rudy's broken arm in "The Hawkening" including feeding him tater tots (pictured)

Some headcanons/fic ideas:

They are both children of divorce and Zeke has experienced a parent getting remarried and having a younger half-sibling. If Rudy goes through the same thing at some point, it's easy to see him turning to Zeke about that.

Generally I see Rudy seeing Zeke (and Gene) as his surrogate big brothers and turning to them for advice about growing up, dating, etc. It's probably not always the best advice, but it's well intentioned.

I think that they play basketball together into adulthood (Rudy eventually becomes somewhat better but neither of them are great at it: they just like hanging out and getting exercise together.)

One day I hope to come up with a fic idea worthy of these two! (Also, hope I get the confidence to try to write for Zeke- he has a distinctive voice and I've never written for him.)

Zekina Week 2023: Day 6 Beach Part 2

Zekina week may be over but I still wanted to get this colored. It's not as detailed as my other beach-related Zekina art but I still find it cute. I don't really have a set song that I picture Zeke singing in this image but so far what's floating around in my head atm is either David Choi's "By My Side" or " Darling I Love You". I'll probably change my mind on it later so feel free to have your own interpretation of whatever Zeke is singing. In the meantime, I will try to work on a character sheet for my BB oc, Willow.

Tina x Zeke mini moments in S11EP03:

-Zeke is the first to join Tina (and Gene) in the kids’ makeshift pool (eager to join your favorite girl and her family I see!)

-Tina leans over to turn her diagonal stripe into a vertical one, getting awfully close to Zeke’s face in the process. Ever the enthusiast, Zeke reacts to her trick with an honest ‘whoa!’

-When Tina declares that her wild swimsuit must be distracting people from working faster, the camera cuts to show Zeke looking firmly in her direction... he’s focused all right!

Headcanon:

Zeke proposes through a puzzle. He made it himself with photos of them. So, one evening they have a nice meal and then sit down to finish a puzzle Zeke got for Tina. They do that frequently so Tina does not suspect anything. Finished it says "Will you marry me?" and of course Tina says yes and falls around his neck.

Me and my entire family got covid and I currently have a fever and am stuck in bed but that just means I finally had the time to finish this!!
