My brief report from last night’s Dimension 20 show in London (hidden for spoilers, I truly have no idea if these episodes will end up on dropout)

Okay so, this is directly copy and pasted from the messages I sent my friend during the interval and after the show, so it’s a bit scrambled.

Act 1:

It’s all randomised, they have these bingo spinner things and they pulled from a pool of their previous characters — ended up being 2 from Unsleeping City (which I haven’t seen, but it’s Pete and the rat man), 2 from I think Starstruck? (The captain and Sid) — AND FABIAN AND ADAINE

AND THEN BRENNAN PULLED A RANDOM SETTING AND ITS CROWN OF CANDY. ITS ALL ALTERNATE DIMENSION FUCKERY AND CALROY IS KING AND THEY IMMEDIATELY KILLED HIS ASS

In the first like, 10 minutes? Ally asked Brennan if they could do something impossible — box of doom, Nat 20 only. WHAT DO WE GET? ITS A FUCKIN ALLY BEARDSLEY NAT 20 EVERYBODY. IN REAL LIFE. IT HAPPENED

Highlights from act 2:

Bill Seacaster orgasm (during masturbation he says “yargh” repeatedly)

Gilear reveal, naked and unconscious in the bottom of a pool of sacred lemon yogurt (huge dick canon)

Zac switched characters halfway to LAPIN and I SCREAMED because he’s my FAVOURITE EVER (like, if these episodes do get put up, listen for the screaming YEEEAAAAAAAH the second Lapin is revealed because that’s me)

Lapin and Arthur Aguefort are “roommates” (canon)

Primsy Coldbottle, who is 29 in this Time Quangle, falls in love with Sundry Sidney and goes back with her onto the ship. Also with them is AnUs, the new canon name of Another Use of the Identify Spell, who has also fallen in love with Sid.

Kugrash (rat man) sacrifices himself to unquangle the Time Quangle by eating the pool of lemon yogurt — the one in which Gilear is passed out and “quangled” — and ascends to a higher consciousness in a cosmic bodega

And that is everything that has stuck in my brain!

Okay, so I analyse these the same as the others because I added these just with the 'oh, i think this'll be good for them,' thought, I didn't listen to them and then add them.

My Strange Addiction: I already talked about this song being michie, so this is actually the only one that I listened to and then added, and the reason this playlist exists.

Ocean Eyes: Do I... Do I need to explain this choice? I feel like I don't.

A Million Dreams: Yes, absolutely, super cute for childhood friends michie, adult reformed Richie; perfect.

Rewrite the Stars: Okay stick with me. For most of the song, Max is Zac Efron and Richie is Zendaya— except the very last by Zendaya, that is Max. Okay, do you see? Do you see my vision?

Tightrope: I really do love this for them, but I. I don't know why it makes me think more of Swedish Barbeque. Realistically its more lautski, but in either case, i still really like it for Michie. It's staying

Teen Idle: Okay, so this kinda breaks my rule. This song is about Richie, so it should be on the Richie playlist— but it's only under the context of Michie, specifically childhood friends Michie. It's about Richie regretting not following Max's path by his side so they could be together. Do you see? Do you... am I wrong? And then that slow verse is Max I think. Listening to it, I think that's Max.

Under My Skin: This one's a bit more loose, I think I'd rather have yall's opinion on it. Listen to it and get back to me.

Love Me, Normally: If you've seen my Will Wood post, you knew this was going to be on here. I don't think I need to explain this.

Lemon Boy: This is major childhood friends Michie vibes. Unfortunately, him and Lemon Boy still grow apart ;(

Blue Eyes Like Devil's Water: I added this on a whim, I'd never listened to it before, but it reminded me of Ocean Eyes in the title, so I added it. The guy singing this sounds so stressed out, which is mood wow. I can totally see it as a shifting pov song. I think I'm going to keep it? I'm very torn. If you don't like the voice cracky thing that McCafferty has going on, I definately don't blame you if/when you take it off. I'll probably skip it sometimes for that reason, because his anger is making it worse than usual.

Bottom: I was kind of surprised not to find it on the original playlist. It feels very them. Although, that may just be because I'm writing a thing I think it's fitting for, but I haven't published it yet.

A Thousand Years: Yes, this means a son from Twilight is on the Michie playlist. I am aware of this. I don't care, it's very good and very good for them. I'm keeping it, you can fucking fight me (/lh)

I Won't Say I'm In Love (Mashup): I am so glad this one won. I think the extra love songs give it depth, and the inclusion of "there might be something there that wasn't there before" is what really got me to want this version specifically on this playlist. There's technically still 15 hours left on this poll, so if the og or both end up wining, I'll put it on here too.

My dude is back in business!

Monthly Greasiness has returned, my friends. This one's a banger.

We'll start with the animals. The sealed Imperial beetle is just swell, and those truly ancient spider rings look a hell of a lot like our local "grass spiders". Lounging frog charm is basic but fun, the roaches are stellar sculpts, and the pterosaur is striking in black and white. The rat is in a bag for a reason:

It's a grow toy. You know the ones, hard rubber that expands in water, leaving you with a puffy, slimy copy of an already crude sculpt. Well, this one looks just as good as any generic rubber rat, so the detail might actually hold. Close to 6" as it is, this thing could conceivably clear 3 feet in length if the packaging is to be believed. I'm not dragging the aquarium out of storage to find out.

The figurines are many and glorious. From left to right, we have a pair of old Hong Kong fantasy warriors, bearing various weapons and looking like subhuman mooks from a Frazetta painting; a knockoff Bowser figure (possibly a stamper in its original release); and a pair of Pocket Goblins, wildcards in the war between the Pocket Ninjas and Pocket Skeletons. All five stand in defense of their dark god, Dee-Kahl.

I'm rather alarmed by the number of heads in this box. 16 heads. That's twice the amount you can comfortably fit in a duffel bag. I feel like I've been sent a message, but damned if I know what.

Anyway, there are resin recasts of Whiplash and Skeletor in here. It's something I never knew I wanted, and these two work really well together somehow. Couple shiny skull rings, sure. Plenty of Madballs beads. And that creepy green dude.

You all know how this goes. Suck up slime with the thing, then squeeze it and watch it vomit. Wholesome family fun. Well, these don't quite work the same way: the upper rear cranium is wide open; you just pour slime in there and jam a knuckle into the hole to seal it. Clumsy, but effective:

Yep, that's pretty nasty. But fun!

Assorted Other Toys! Couple more Atom Age lookin' sci-fi vehicles, a saucer and another one of those sweet space cranes. Peg Checkers is basically tic tac toe on a triangular, 15-spot board. Still 3 in a row, though. The rubber rings were also sold as belts for action figures. In fact, I'm using one on the shelf now.

See? Looks great.

Flat Fun is two buttons and a classic gag. The same trick can be done with lemon juice or milk, which makes me wonder if the non-toxic material here is one or the other in powder form.

Anyway, Zac's back. Show him some love on Patreon, or at least hit up the store. It'll brighten your day somethin' fierce.

Happy Belated Storyteller Saturday Zac! We got a little busy ourselves, but we are always open for questions, no worries! ^-^

Something that we love to read but hate to write would probably be like... fight scenes. Ngl, we suck at these. Like. Eat a lemon and your lips will not open bc the Worlds are burning and your body no longer trusts you for anything kind of suck and burn and fail. (*≧▽≦)ﾉｼ))

We think the main problem we have - we have heard this from different writers with tips on writing fights and our person - is no like... expanding the environment? Bc fights are supposed to be choppy and short and narrow bc boom boom bam, hit hit punch, roll bam kick, you know? (*≧▽≦)

Which is... we suck at doing those things, unfortunately. (๑꒪▿꒪)*
