oh you do glassblowing do you do sell your things at craft fairs? hey that's a cool clay thing if you made enough of those people would buy them. oh you came to show me a cool chainmail thing you made you're proud of did you know i think you could sell that, that thing you made you're proud of it could no longer be your own fun experiment because it's goods and services now. here's this reel of someone making sculptures out of pennies you've made art with pennies in the past you can make a career out of it. don't you want to do that. don't you want to turn every hobby you find joy in into an outlet of capital. you've expressed disillusionment at the prospect of being employed and doubt in your ability to do work at an output with so little downtime required for any career. so don't you want to take the things you enjoy futzing with that take you hours and hours and hours because you're not capable of being very fast your hands get cramped you like to do them in small stretches before you get tired into something that has to take up all your time that has to have a high enough output to be profitable? that's not the same problem anymore because you'll be doing what you love. i can't imagine the prospect of doing something with a deadline would take all the stressless joy out of it for you. don't you want that?

we are winning at levels never before thought possible it seems, after making the wrong choice of becoming an ada wong fan & having to subsist off the crumbs of characterization given to me in in-game files, supplemental material & scant lines of dialog it seems capcom is truly going to give me everything i have ever wanted :

probably giving ada the best DLC in the franchise, a meaningful relationship with a character that isn't leon that seems to take precedent in her story over her few chance encounters with leon in RE4R ( i have a feeling her & luis' history gives their dynamic far more meaning than his little rollercoaster ride with leon ), cool sci-fi contacts replacing the glasses she never really used in the original, integrating her grapple hook in her combat when it was sadly only ever used for traversal, actual content specifically designed for her campaign & not just reused arenas from the main game ( some of these are from the original carried over to ada but i think her performing the coolest thing leon does in the original, dodging the lasers, is sick ), finally positioning wesker as an antagonist in ada's story directly rather than him hanging over her like a school headmaster trying to play mindgames .

it's honestly so personally rewarding to see capcom go to such lengths for a character they have otherwise neglected, even in a game like re6 where she carries the emotional core of the story ( in specific her developing relationship with carla as she learns she is more than just some lab-made doppelganger, which was sadly undercooked - like most of the game, despite the explosions )

yeah!! im super interested in the backstory of every theme park ^__^ if i had to pick some faves, i know a lot about the history of cedar fair parks / their rides and disney parks / their rides!

i think the best way to encompass it is like . the ride history of every theme park... i know a lot about all that ! theme parks that have become obsolete ( or rides in modern day theme parks that no longer exist ) are especially interesting to me ! the things that make rides a quote unquote "failure" are spectacular... so much thought goes into a coaster or flat ride... for that to fail is incredible ! even successful coasters / flat rides / parks have their fair share of controversy...!

im glad defunctland has brought this to the spotlight, but i would also recommend channels like el toro ryan, theme park crazy, and coaster college! theyre ones i actively watch wrt theme parks, theme park crazy especially is a channel i really recommend :] its fascinating stuff!
