Very Worried I might Have Colon Cancer
Yes hi, So I've been really worried I might have colon cancer lately. But I'm honestly not sure, cause while I have ALOT of the symptoms. I've also been dealing with a good many of them for years, and when I say years I sometimes mean a decade or much more.
So the reason I started worrying a month or so ago was cause for the past like two months I was making almost nothing but liquid diarrhea. But since then I've also discovered that this PPI med I've been on for heart burn can cause that kind of thing, and I've since stopped taking it, and haven't made liquid really since I did so.
But I also have a lot of the other symptoms.
I have consitpation, and blood coming out of me, abdominal discomfort, feeling like I still have to go, and fatigue, also my platelet count is 408 and my hemoblogin is 12.3.
Now like I said, the thing is some of this I've dealt with a while. I've had constipation most of my life. Same with quite often diarrhea.
Blood has happened for over a decade, I have hemmorids, and probably some anal fissures, I tend to use my finger when I'm having a hard time making, so the nail might be cutting me, it for sure has in the past.
I've always been tired, and weak, though the tiredness has been worse lately. Though I'm pretty sure it's been as bad in the past from time to time.
With my platelet count and hemoglobin levels, They've kind of fluctuated a lot the past two years, I don't have blood work from before that on me. But in 2018 my PCT was 420, then in 2019 it was 500, then in 2020, it was 350 and now 408. And my hemoglobin has done the same. For awhile being down at 9. But I'm also on HRT, and the hormones can cause high PCT, and my hormone levels are never stable, they go up and down big time, which might explain why the same happens to my platelets.
Oh, and I was told I had anemia while back, but then the next time I saw the doctor after that she said my iron levels looked find again.
Oh, also while weight loss is a symptom, I haven't been losing any weight, and I have a very good appetite, so I don't have loss of appetite.
But I do have dark stool from time to time. What I don't have stool related are pencil thin stools. when they are solid, it's usually small pieces, or somewhat big, fully rounded stools. Nothing thin like is described with colon cancer.
So like, I have all of this, and I know most of it could be other things, and I have proof for a good amount of it being other things as I listed above.
But I have real bad anxiety, and I'm kind of a hypocondriac, and ever since I learned about how I have most of the symptoms of colon cancer, I just can't stop worrying over it and being scared. So I just thought I'd try making this thread and see what others could tell me based on their own experiances.
