So!
I decided to make a little post about some of the Cord magic work I have been doing in my practice.
Below I have shown steps of my work in creating a cord for the Goddess Brigid.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Here are some steps in point form
(barring all of my personal ritual/spell work)
1) select a number of colored strings the same length. (You will choose based on color/number associations) and lay them along eachother.
2) pinch one end in a steady grip (I pinched one end in-between my ankles. You can also use your toes or a chip clip held by your feet- whatever works honestly.)
3) starting at the top of the length, twist clockwise and as you twist set and imbue your intention for the cord.
While you twist, pinch and run one hand gently from the top down to the end to distribute the tension evenly.
Ensure to not allow the cord to bunch up on itself while twisting.
4) once the full length has been twisted and tension is even across the full cord.
Carefully find the middle of the cord (pinch and hold) and transfer both ends in-between your teeth to free up your hands.
5) starting at the halfed middle- allow the tension to twist the cord into being.
Use both hands one to encourage the twist and another to feed both strands into the twist.
(see video)
6) once you have moved up the length, the cord is now bound.
Seal off the loose ends- maintaining tension.
You can use a simple knot- or you can also use beeswax/ heat depending on how you want to construct your cord.
(disclaimer: always ensure you follow proper fire safety when working with flammable materials)
7) decorate your cord with charms to cap off either end or just finish in a simple knot.
8) congratulations! now your court is finished!
At this point you can use your cord as a spell/ reusable knot work magic cord/ make jewelry with it/ or what I did is to dedicate a cord to a specific deity and use it in spell work with them or hold it during meditations to connect with them.
For the cord dedicated to the Goddess Brigid, I used the corresponding colors-
red for fire and love
Blue for her healing waters and peace
Yellow for illumination and inspiration
Green for new beginnings and growth
(coincidentally all four colors correspond to the elements which increases power additionally)
I also added a natural iron ore deposit chunk on one end as a stone to connect with her.
As well as a Celtic cross to honor the saint version of her when connecting with my ancestors.
Below you will also notice another blue cord that I created for the God Manannán mac lir- complete with a hag stone and a Triskel.
One Source I personally recommend to get you started on your path to learn more about cord and knot work magic is "Cord magic, tapping into the power of string, yarn, twists and knots"
By Brandy Williams (pictured above)
This book has excellent exercises and resources to assist you on understanding the basics and construction of multiple kinds of cords etc.
(Knot magic is one of the oldest forms of magic, most of the examples I focus on are from the included book and from Celtic culture with my own style blended in)
Well that's the end of this post!
I hope I have provided some information that may be useful to some people.
Remember to do your research and practice your craft safely.
If anyone is interested in more Textile, knot, Cord, Weaving and Stitching spell work; let me know and I'll see what I can whip up.
Best of luck! 🪡🍀✨

Festive Friday’s Sneaky Delights
As the holiday season unfolds, the air is filled with joy, warmth, and the spirit of celebration. For those in the kink community, finding subtle yet playful ways to incorporate elements of their lifestyle into festive gatherings can be an exciting endeavor. With this in mind, let’s explore creative and discreet ways to add a touch of kink to holiday season celebrations, ensuring that these delightful surprises remain entirely acceptable to vanilla guests.
Subtle Symbolism in Decor: Infuse your holiday decorations with subtle BDSM symbolism. Opt for ornaments or ribbons in colors associated with the lifestyle, such as black, red, or purple. Cleverly incorporate discreet symbols like cuffs or triskeles into wreaths or table centerpieces. To vanilla guests, these elements can simply be stylish, adding an extra layer of sophistication to the decor.
Double-Entendre Gifting: Select gifts with a twofold meaning, one that vanilla guests will appreciate and another that hints at a kinkier context. A beautifully crafted wood spoon or a stylish jewelry box concealing intimate accessories can bring a mischievous grin to those in the know, without raising eyebrows from vanilla friends and family.
Playful Party Games: Introduce games with subtle undertones that only the kink-savvy will recognize. Classic games like Charades or Pictionary can be tweaked to include kink-related terms, providing a playful nod to the lifestyle. Ensure that the modifications are lighthearted and in good spirits, making them enjoyable for everyone while adding an extra layer of amusement for those in the community.
Customized Cocktails: Craft a menu of custom cocktails with playful names that only those familiar with the lifestyle will catch onto. Vanilla guests can enjoy a "Fuzzy Flogger Fizz," while those in the know appreciate the hidden reference to a popular BDSM play space. This adds an element of mystery and amusement without making anyone uncomfortable.
Inclusive Dress Code: Suggest a dress code that allows for subtle self-expression within the bounds of the occasion. Encourage guests to wear accessories or incorporate colors that hold significance in the kink community. This provides an opportunity for those in the lifestyle to subtly express themselves while maintaining a festive and inclusive atmosphere for all.
Festive Fridays offer the perfect opportunity to blend the joy of the holiday season with the playful spirit of the kink community. By incorporating subtle elements into decorations, gifts, games, cocktails, and dress codes, those in the know can enjoy a delightful wink and nod, while vanilla guests revel in the festivities without a hint of suspicion. It's a celebration that seamlessly merges the joy of the season with the clever art of blending kink into the holiday spirit.

Viking axe pendant
As a symbol, the axe stands for bravery, strength, and audacity. It is a reminder of heritage and the accomplishments of ancestors who bent the world to their will using only what they had. It is a symbol of the berserker, and all that entails. It conveys the heart or mind's ability to cut through that which holds one back and to forge boldly ahead. The Triskele symbol, otherwise known as the Triskelion, is a trilateral symbol consisting of three interlocked spirals. Widely regarded as one of the oldest Irish symbols in existence, it appears on the Newgrange kerbstones, which date from approximately 3200 BC. Triskeles feature prominently in both ancient and modern Celtic art, as they evoke the Celtic interpretation of the three realms of material existence: earth, water, and sky (and all their interconnections). The symbol is also thought to represent the three worlds: spiritual, physical, and celestial.

Exploring the World of Having Celtic Symbolic Jewelry
Tumblr media
When it comes to jewelry that is rich in cultural symbolism and history, few things can compare to the intricate, eye-catching designs seen in traditional Celtic jewelry. With its distinctive knotwork, spirals, and other motifs, Celtic jewelry is prized by collectors and fashion lovers alike. If you are thinking about purchasing a piece of Celtic symbolic jewelry, here are some things to keep in mind.
It's essential to understand the meanings behind the symbols used in Celtic jewelry. Celtic knotwork, for example, is often used as a symbol of eternity, while the triskele, with its three interlocking spirals, can represent many things, including the three stages of life or the three domains of earth, sea, and sky. The Celtic cross, of course, is a well-known symbol of Irish and Scottish heritage, and it is usually seen as a conjunction of the Christian cross with a sun or moon wheel.
When shopping for Celtic symbolic jewelry, it is also vital to ensure that you are purchasing an authentic piece. Look for jewelry designers who specialize in Celtic designs and who have an appreciation for their rich cultural and historical significance. Authentic Celtic designs will have accurate representations of the knotwork, animal imagery, and other symbols that are integral to the jewelry's meaning. Look for more facts about jewelry at http://www.ehow.com/how-does_5021511_diamond-exchange-work.html.
Finally, you should also consider the different types of materials used in Celtic jewelry. Traditional metals like silver and gold are often paired with intricate knotwork designs, while gemstones such as emeralds or amethysts may be incorporated into the jewelry as well. Keep in mind that some materials are more durable and easier to maintain than others, so be sure to choose a piece that will suit your lifestyle and needs. Start now!
When you buy a piece of Celtic symbolic jewelry, you are not just purchasing a beautiful accessory, but a piece of cultural history as well. With its rich symbolism and intricate designs, Celtic jewelry is a perfect way to honor your heritage or to celebrate your love of beautiful craftsmanship. Get extra resources here!
