Title: One Plus One Pairing: reader x PJM Word count: 2.3k Rating: rated T / PG-13 Genre: fluff (hehe), maybe a little bit of crack, friends to lovers Summary: Everyone around you seems to be getting married, while you’re feeling like you might be the only single girl left on the planet (or at least in your friend group), but a surprise confession from your best friend and wedding date just might change that. Inspired by Marry You & Treasure - Bruno Mars Warnings: the amount of sweet cotton candy fluff contained within this fic may be damaging to your health, alcohol consumption (they are at a wedding) A/N: this fic is soft and fluffy and it makes me very happy :’) I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it. thanks for reading! ly - robyn P.S. As always I do not own BTS or their likenesses, nor do I own the music of Bruno Mars (lol), they simply inspire me. inspo playlist here
a part of the Hooligans series; masterlist here
The wedding is beautiful. The bride, the venue, the flowers, the centerpieces, even the normally hideous bridesmaids’ dresses - all breathtaking. It sounds cliche, but…you wish it were you, standing in front of your friends and family, in a white dress, professing your undying love and affection for the man next to you. You’d hoped it would have happened by now but at the moment it’s not looking promising. Your last long-term relationship ended in relative disaster, you haven’t had a successful date in six months, and once again you’re disgustingly single, with no prospects on the horizon. Now with wedding season upon you, and all of your friends and colleagues tying the knot, you’ve been reminded of that depressing statistic every time you get one of your so-called friends’ wedding invitations in the mail, plus one included, “just in case.” Damn them and their wishful thinking.
"You know you don't have to go to every wedding you get invited to," said your best friend and preferred plus-one Park Jimin when you asked him once again to accompany you to the event. "And you don't have to bring a plus-one every time either, just because they gave you one."
"Of course I do," you protested. "They’re my friends and I want to support them. And I know that. But it's depressing if I don’t, and I look pitiful and sad going by myself. Do you know how boring it is to go to a wedding by yourself? God, so boring. Who else is going to critique every little detail of it with me?"
"Ah, so you need me around to keep things interesting." Jimin nodded, cracking one of his knowing smirks. "Say no more. I'm your man."
You can always count on Jimin to deliver - well, that's an understatement - you can always count on Jimin to overdeliver. Always. It also doesn't hurt that he has impeccable taste in suits, not to mention he wears the hell out of them every time. This time he arrives dressed to the nines in an expensive-looking gray suit, blond hair perfectly styled as usual.
"I'm sorry, who gave you the right to look hotter than me?" you demand from behind him as he's fixing his tie in your hallway mirror. You're well aware of how attractive your best friend is, handsome in that angelic Hollywood heartthrob kind of way. You can't go anywhere with him without someone trying to slip him their number, or attempting to get his number.
His face brightens when he sees you, then he catches himself and clears his throat. "Just putting my looks to good use for once. Besides, isn't the bride supposed to be the center of attention?"
"Please." You roll your eyes. "They say weddings are a great place to meet people. I have to at least try, you know."
"I'm kidding." He chuckles. "You look beautiful, y/n."
Your cheeks color under your foundation and you're grateful he doesn't notice, or he'd never let you live it down. "You're totally just saying that," you say, self-consciously touching your neck. "But thank you."
The ceremony goes off without a hitch, and you find yourself tearing up once or twice as the bride and groom recite the vows they wrote for each other, even though you promised yourself you wouldn’t cry this time. At the reception you're seated with one other person you're acquainted with, a mutual colleague of yours and the bride, and the rest of the table is people you don't know, a mix of guests from both the bride and groom's sides. Jimin, of course, is his usual charming self, and has made friends with most of them by the time they start serving dinner. As you’re getting up to join the buffet line, the champagne you’ve been sipping all night seems to hit you all at once, and you nearly topple over, but you land against Jimin’s chest, which is more solid than it looks, suddenly wrapped in his arms.
You glance up. “Sorry,” you manage.
Jimin looks down at you with an amused expression and chuckles. “Don’t worry about it. Lightweight.”
You steady yourself and aim a slap at his shoulder. “I’m not a lightweight, you jerk. You’re the one who kept bringing me drinks when you knew I hadn’t eaten anything.”
He holds his hands up in surrender. “Okay, okay. I’m sorry. I forgot you were a lightweight.” He dashes off suddenly.
“Hey!” you shout, scurrying after him.
After the bride and groom have their first dance, he tugs you out onto the dance floor, insisting that people who don’t dance at weddings are the worst. You’re lucky he’s such a good dancer, or else you’re sure you’d look ridiculous. When the DJ announces the bouquet toss and asks all the men to clear the dance floor, Jimin turns to you, looking excited. “Are you going to do it?” he asks.
“What?” you scoff. “No, of course not. I caught it at the last wedding I went to, and look how much good it did me. It’s a dumb tradition, anyway. Give someone else a chance to be disappointed.”
“Go for it,” he says, shoving you towards the cluster of women gathering at the front of the room. “Maybe you’ll get lucky this time,” he adds, smirking.
“I highly doubt that,” you say under your breath, positioning yourself somewhere in the middle of the group and raising your hands, not intending to make much of an effort to catch it.
“One…two…three!” The bride launches the massive bouquet backwards, and the room erupts in cheers as it sails through the air…landing directly in your arms. Your mouth falls open. Again? “Y/n! When’s the big day, y/n?” she beams into the microphone, as the crowd shoves you to the front.
You laugh awkwardly and the crowd of crestfallen women disperses, leaving you to make your way back to your table, your slightly squashed bunch of roses and cascading greenery in tow. Jimin sits in his spot, arms crossed. He’s positively grinning, a little too smugly for your liking.
“I told you,” he says.
“You,” you say, gesticulating at him with the mangled bouquet. “This is your fault. Every time I catch the damn bouquet it probably adds another year to me finding someone.”
“I wouldn’t be so sure.” He winks. “He might be closer than you think.”
The evening starts to wind down, with the DJ transitioning to mostly slow songs and the lighting about half as bright as it was when the party started, and the reception hall mostly deserted except for a handful of other wedding guests still milling around. You flop down into one of the ribbon and tulle adorned chairs and wiggle your feet out of your high-heeled sandals, your tipsy fingers fumbling with the straps. Your hair is disheveled, coming down out of the updo you spent most of the morning on, and your makeup is almost certainly melted off or smeared halfway across your face. Not that it matters - the bride and groom have since made their exit, headed off to their honeymoon destination under an arch of sparklers, and the photographers have already stopped taking pictures for the night. You heave a loud, huffing sigh and pin your plus-one with a glare. “God, my feet are killing me. Jimin, did we have to dance to every song they played tonight?”
“Sorry.” Jimin smirks. “Got caught up in the moment.” He turns toward you. “It was fun, though, wasn’t it?”
“I suppose,” you say begrudgingly. “Thanks for coming with me, by the way. Sorry for hijacking your weekend again. They should really just stop giving me plus-ones.” You lean back in your chair.
“Don’t worry about it,” he says. “That's what friends are for, right? But it’s a good thing I like weddings.”
You chuckle half-heartedly. “Well, that makes one of us.”
“And you don’t?” says Jimin, leaning over. “Your ‘wedding vibes’ Pinterest board would like a word with you.”
“Okay, first of all, rude, and second of all…ugh, never mind.” You sigh. “I like the idea of weddings, even if they are expensive and overcommercialized. I think, if done right, they're beautiful celebrations of love, and I would like going to them more if I weren’t so pathetic and single. I just…” You trail off. “Never mind. It’s stupid.”
“What?” he says. He props his chin on one fist and stares at you.
You bite your lip and avoid his gaze. “I feel…stuck. Almost every single one of my friends is getting married and moving on and making these big life changes and commitments. I love my life. I do. And I’m happy for all of them. But it's really lonely to feel like everyone is moving on without you. That's all.”
"Everyone goes at their own pace." Jimin reaches over and touches your hand. "And you still have me," he adds. "I'm not married yet."
"Well, it's only a matter of time before someone snaps you up and makes an honest man out of you," you say, sighing again. "I'm surprised someone hasn't already. And I'm sure she won't like you being my wedding date every weekend. So eventually you'll move on without me too." The thought makes you deeply melancholy for some reason. "Eventually it'll just be me, boring, single, and going to weddings all by myself. I'll probably die alone and be eaten by cats. Not even my cats, like random cats from the street, drawn in by the smell of death." You cup your chin in one hand and stare at the centerpiece on the table, the floating candle almost burned down to nothing.
“So marry me, then,” says Jimin.
You start and look over at him. "What?"
"Marry me," he repeats.
You don’t know if it’s the champagne or the pain in your feet or the serious look on Jimin’s face, but you can’t help but burst out laughing. “Very funny,” you let out in between laughing and gasping for air, expecting him to start laughing along with you, reaching over to slap his arm. "I think we've both had too much to drink, don't you?" He just sits there, head cocked to one side, watching you mischievously. Your laughter fades. “You are kidding, aren’t you?”
“No.” He smiles. “I’m serious. I want to marry you, y/n.”
"Jimin, we aren’t even dating!” you yelp. “Don’t we have to date for like a year minimum before we start talking about getting married?”
“Who says? We’ve been best friends for years. We’ve known each other longer than a lot of people do before they get engaged. We even lived together at one point. And don’t forget you’ve brought me to every wedding you’ve ever been given a plus-one to. We've practically been dating already without even knowing it.” Jimin shrugs. “So why not?”
"Why not?" you squeak. "What do you mean, 'why not'? You could have your pick of anyone who’s the slightest bit interested in you. Why would you want to marry me?"
"You're right," he says. "I could pick anyone. And I pick you." His eyes soften. “I’ve been in love with you for a while, y/n. You're the best person I know, and I can’t imagine my life without you in it. I can’t imagine not seeing you every day. I can’t stand the idea of anyone else being your wedding date. And I don’t want anyone else being mine, either. I want to be by your side, y/n. Always. And if that means marrying you, then so be it.”
“Jimin…” you falter. “Really? How long have you known?”
“I don’t know." He looks down thoughtfully. "Maybe a year? After that guy broke up with you over text?" You remember the guy, who in hindsight wasn’t even your type. "I just…realized I was tired of seeing you get your heart broken, over and over, wasting your time and your tears and your brainpower on these guys who probably never thought twice about ending things."
"I never knew,” you say softly. “A year? Why didn’t you say something sooner?”
“I was waiting for my moment.” He smiles. "Every time I thought about it you had just gotten into a relationship or just gotten out of one, or there was something else going on, and the timing just never felt right.”
“I - I don’t even know what to say.” Your cheeks flush.
“Say yes. Say you’ll consider it." He grabs your hands. "Think about it, y/n. We're already so good together as friends. I think it could really work."
You look at your best friend, blond hair rumpled, cheeks pink, tie adorably loose around his neck, nothing but affection in his eyes. He’s never looked at you like that before - or maybe you've just never noticed. "What if it doesn't work?" you say. "What if you're wrong and it doesn't work, so we break up, and we end up hating each other so much that we never speak again? I’ve always had the worst luck with guys. You know that. What are the chances things will end up going badly with you too? You're my best friend. I don't know if I'm willing to risk losing you."
"That won't happen," he says firmly.
You bite your lip pensively. "Do you really think so?"
"I know so," he says emphatically.
You hesitate. “Okay,” you say finally. “I'll consider it. Under two conditions.”
“What is it?” he asks.
“We actually have to date first. I’m not going to marry you right off the bat, my parents will think I'm pregnant and desperate or something."
"So we date first," he says. "Okay. What's the second thing?"
"The second thing is…you accept full responsibility if this blows up in our faces."
“It won't. But I promise,” he says, going straight in to plant a warm kiss on your cheek. “We’ve got this.”
You look up at him, smiling wryly. “I guess you knew what you were talking about when you made me do the bouquet toss, didn’t you?”
“Of course I did. I know everything.” He pats you on the head.

us the voices recommends! shows, and movies! part 1
Larva 11/10
this show is genuinely amazing, I literally have cried multiple times it's genuinely the best show in the whole "potty humour, screaming" genre, literally if you can get past the kinda obnoxious screaming you will be treated with a wonderful show that has so much love put into it.
(most media critics are snobs, this show is awesome. embrace the silly and the cringe.)
Upload (2020) 10/10
black mirror if it was funny and wasn't anti-technology, best take on cyberpunk I've seen in a long time. if you liked black mirror but hated the doomer parts and the trash writing of some of the later seasons and episodes you will adore upload!
(I actually hate black mirror, like it's all short stories at the end of the day and I like some of them so much and others can go in a hole and die genuinely. it's the most mixed bag of a show I've ever seen, because it just kinda is such a doomer show like make up your mind on what it is!!! 4.7/10 overall and 11/10 for select short stories.)
dinosaur king (dubbed) 10/10
if you like "Pokemon" and "Digimon" you will fucking love dinosaur king, it has (for the time) accurate dinosaur facts. the VA's for jessie and James! and I think ash? appear, and it's a all round fun show! lots of dinosaurs and crying to be had!
squid girl (dubbed/subbed) 10/10
if you like anime girl, fish out of water, slice of life, funny shows you will love squid girl! many many squid puns, and general tomfoolery.
Siren: Survive the Island 11/10
a south Korean reality game show, where a bunch of women from different jobs and backgrounds compete to be the last one standing.
it's genuinely the coolest, edge of your seat show I've watched in a long time!
Physical 100 10/10
a reality game show where the top 100 south Korean sports people? compete against each other to win, it's fucking crazy and awesome and I can't believe it's a show.
Star Trek: lower decks 11/10
if you in any shape or form liked Star Trek you will fucking love lower decks! it's a love letter to Star Trek in all ways, it's extremely funny and a fresh take on the Star Trek formula!
(if you think the first ep is a bit meh, stick through it! it gets so much better)
sword art online: abridged 12/10
I have only ever watched, "sword art online: alicization" and so that was my intro to the sword art online series. but after watching the "something witty's" sword art online: abridged I can never go back. it is extremely well written, the characterisation is impeccable, it has the most realistic feel of if a whole bunch of people actually got trapped in a VR game, and is such an amazing version of the show you will wonder why you hadn't heard of it before!
the Red turtle 11/10
if you like beautiful animation, sadness, and to get your brain chemistry changed. you should check out the red turtle! it's a joint production with studio gibbli, and is so visually stunning and mesmerising you will just sob.
this movie is so amazing, and you will adore the hell out of it.
Megamind 11/10
Dreamworks cult classic film, a family movie that breaks down the superhero genre and reinvents it into a tale of redemption, grief, and rejecting what people think of you. one of the best family movies of the 2010s.
bolt 11/10
if Disney wasn't cowards we would have more of these cult classic early to late 2000s 3D movies, but they hate fun.
if you took everything anti-hollywood and a solid critic on the state of cinema and tv and threw in some animals, chucked it in a pot.
you would have this amazing film! genuinely one of the best Disney movies ever, and the fact people don't talk about it more is saddening.
treasure planet 11/10
one of the last 2D Disney movies, it bombed bad in the cinemas but it is an amazing film that deserves love.
the score is amazing, the characters are so weird and wonderful, and it evokes insane feelings.
chicken little 10/10
if you like kinda campy goofy movies about autism coded characters and sci-fi, and also animals you will adore chicken little, it's one of the weirder 2010s Disney movies. lots of fun and a good family movie.
that's all! see you next instalment!

Evaluation of Treasure Island musical adaptations on spotify:
Treasure Island the Musical by Starshine Singers – This is a company that makes children’s musicals, so it’s a cheery little thing sung by children. Doesn’t have a lot of plot but a fun 20 minutes if you want to hear some kids singing about torture and murder.
Treasure Island the Musical Original Cast – This is an actual legit musical which was staged in London in 1973. For better or worse the sound is very much Old Timey Musical Theatre. There are at least two recordings of this on spotify for some reason.
Treasure Island: A New Musical by Ceramic Goose – This is more of an independent local theater kind of production. The full show is available on youtube but I didn’t watch it. The “Prologue” and a couple of other moments are quite annoying, Jim is played by a whole adult, Captain Smollett is a woman (and dies?), and either Jim’s father is alive or Livesey has jumped into a father figure role (unclear). Some weird characterizations throughout. Most of the music isn’t bad – has kind of an Evan Hansen-ish vibe – but there are some songs that are worse than others.
Treasure Island The Musical by Chris O’Sullivan – Can’t find much information about this one but based on all the performers’ names it appears to be Irish. There are plenty of things I could say about the work as a whole but I just cannot get past the fact that Silver is introduced with a song that’s clearly styled after Master of the House from Les Mis.
Treasure Island by XvallariX – I don’t know what the fuck this is but I’m including it because all the songs are named for TI characters.
There have been other musical adaptations but these are the ones I could find on spotify! And the other results on there are either unrelated or Treasure Planet or audiobooks.
Then there are also several songs called Long John Silver:
By Richard Thompson – I already knew this song because I like this singer, and “there’s nothing but black in a pirate’s heart” makes me sad but it’s a great song.
By Stormfrun – More of a piratey sound and seems to be about actual Silver not as a metaphor. The idea that he got the nickname Barbeque by cooking a traitorous crew member and feeding him to the crew is pretty fucking hardcore.
By Jefferson Airplane – I’m going to be really honest, when I think of Jefferson Airplane I think of Supernatural. Interesting lyrics though.
By Great Master – This music isn’t to my taste but you guys. Look at the fucking lyrics of this song and the others on the album it’s from. This is 100% based directly on Black Sails. Not Treasure Island, Black Sails. Like there are show characters mentioned and bits of actual canon dialogue. Which one of you did this.
By Skull & Bones – Kind of a bop. They’ve got other Treasure Island themed songs too.
By Lennon Kelly – This one is in Italian and is pretty good.
By Jimmy Dorsey (with others) – This is an OLD song. Fun if you like swing I guess. Doesn’t really have lyrics so nothing to do with Treasure Island. There are a few renditions of this on spotify.
By Ray Lindo – Instrumental piece from the soundtrack to the movie Christmas in Hollywood.
By Golden Ivy – Instrumental ambient music idk.
By King Kyle Lee, Liveola, SoSanAntone, and Famous Lil Ken – Rap. Couldn’t find lyrics so I don’t know if it has anything to do with actual Silver.
By Schandmaul – German. I like the chorus.
By Studio Murena – Another Italian one but I don’t like this one lol.
Long John Silver: Themes by David Buttolph – From the soundtrack of the 1954 motion picture Long John Silver. I went and listened to some of the rest of this soundtrack and it very much sounds like something from the 50s!
Then there are a few about the restaurant, and a few others that mention Silver the character offhand in the lyrics.

I've read Ethan Hawkes book where he basically talks about the time he cheated on his wife and how his life went downhill for a while and from my perspective it was Uma thurman being too big of a movie star for him. I think Ryan suits him cause she's unknown and supports him in his career but I guess he had a hard time living in Umas shadow and he often felt misunderstood and not supported from her side. Still not a reason to cheat but yeah that's basically it..
Wait he admitted to it? I don’t know a lot about it but I thought he had always denied it.
If that’s the case, then yeah, sounds like they weren’t suited for each other and probably rushed into things. But uhhhh ya still shouldn’t cheat on your spouse 😬
Like I swear, I personally and professionally known, and have seen in the media, so many couples who’ve cheated that, although I know they’re out there, I don’t trust one damn man on this planet to not be unfaithful.
….minus maybe Alfred Molina. He is a ✨shining star✨ and a treasure and if I ever find out he’s cheated on his spouse, I’m going to single-handedly burn Hollywood to the ground.

On a more cheerful note, I'm so happy to see Bulgarian Treasure Planet getting gradual coverage from animation critics and growing a cult following despite (or even because of) it exhibiting a style that could be considered extremely amateurish and unrefined by Hollywood standards.
It is such a bizarre piece of animation history, but it's clear that there was artistic passion behind its production that wasn't deterred by the limitations the crew had to work with, to the point that it's almost impossible to look down on it.

3, 27, 41 for the most recent prompt list and also I want your opinion on House of Wax 2005
3) film that gave you nightmares
treasure planet when people get spaced and drift off screaming into the void to die a slow death. also the fly and the ring and pulse yes the american ones
27) have you ever written a script
for my own personal recreation/insanity I have two dozen or so scripts in various wip forms at all times, mainly revisionist specs (aka movie fanfiction) on properties that should have been written better but also some original. I don't count the ones I actually did for my screenwriting degree because those were joyless mistakes and two out of three were written in a single night apiece
41) fave score composers
howard shore alexandre desplat nicholas hooper there's a bunch. daniel hart who does david lowery's movies does his own sung songs which are great. michael abels is doing great work with jordan peele. honestly though I feel like so many really singular scores come from non hollywood-centric musicians. it's not what ppl think of karen o or daft punk or brian eno for but people still talk about their soundtracks
as for house of wax I know there's a niche of people who dearly love the aesthetic of those 2000s era claustrophobic trash horror the way I love blade runner's but you'd have to pay me to shove my head into something that ugly for two hours

Movie buffs and pop culture enthusiasts, rejoice! March 2024 promises to be a goldmine for collectors as two major movie memorabilia auctions take center stage in Los Angeles. This is your chance to own a piece of cinematic history, from iconic props used in blockbuster films to costumes worn by legendary characters. Planet Hollywood Auction: A Farewell to Tinseltown Memorabilia The first, and arguably the grander, of these events is Heritage Auctions' "Treasures from Planet Hollywood" event, taking place from March 20th to 24th, 2024. This auction marks a significant shift for the long-standing restaurant chain, signifying a move away from its signature movie memorabilia displays and towards a more immersive audio-visual experience. Over 1,600 unique pieces will be up for grabs, representing just a fraction of Planet Hollywood's vast 60,000-item collection. This treasure trove includes iconic items like Princess Leia's blaster from Star Wars, Indiana Jones's whip, and even the lifeboat door from Titanic where Jack and Rose shared their unforgettable moment. For those seeking a truly biblical experience, Moses' stone tablets from The Ten Commandments are also available. While the price tag remains unknown, expect them to fetch a hefty sum, considering founder Robert Earl estimates Planet Hollywood spent between $20 and $30 million on building this impressive collection over three decades. This isn't just a sentimental goodbye for fans; it's also a chance to snag a piece of Hollywood history at potentially game-changing prices. The auction has already received seven figures in pre-bidding, setting the stage for what could be the biggest film-prop auction since the iconic Debbie Reynolds collection in 2012. Prop Store Auction: A Week of Hollywood Treasures While Planet Hollywood takes center stage for the final week of March, collectors shouldn't overlook Prop Store's auction, taking place from March 12th to 14th, 2024. This three-day event boasts over 1,000 items, offering a diverse selection of movie memorabilia to cater to various interests. While there's a surprising amount of overlap between the two auctions, including different versions of Marty McFly's iconic costume from Back to the Future III, each event also boasts unique treasures. Star Wars fans will be particularly excited about Prop Store's offering. They have the golden head of C-3PO, worn by the character's actor Anthony Daniels, estimated to fetch a staggering $1 million. This iconic piece is sure to be a highlight for any serious collector. For those on a budget, Planet Hollywood offers a more affordable alternative with the head of Dot Matrix, Joan Rivers' hilarious C-3PO knockoff from Spaceballs, starting at a mere $1,000. A Collector's Dream: Bidding Wars and Investment Opportunities The upcoming auctions offer a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for collectors and investors alike. Movie memorabilia can be a lucrative investment, with iconic props and costumes often appreciating significantly in value over time. Additionally, owning a piece of cinematic history provides intangible value for fans, allowing them to connect with their favorite films and characters on a deeper level. These auctions are not just about acquiring objects; they are about ownership of a piece of cultural history. Whether it's the thrill of owning a prop used in a beloved film or the opportunity to invest in a valuable collectible, these events promise excitement and potential rewards for anyone who enters the bidding war. FAQs: Q: What is the most valuable item being auctioned? A: The most likely contender for the highest price tag is the golden head of C-3PO at Prop Store, estimated at $1 million. Q: Are there any iconic items unique to each auction? A: Yes, Prop Store has the C-3PO head, while Planet Hollywood offers the lifeboat door from Titanic and Moses' stone tablets. Q: Is it a good idea to invest in movie memorabilia? A: While not guaranteed, iconic movie props and costumes can be valuable investments due to their limited availability and potential for appreciation in value.

Las Vegas Strip, NV (No. 2)
On a daily basis, there are tens of thousands of pedestrians walking along the Strip at any one time. As of 2019, the daily number of pedestrians on the Strip is approximately 50,000.
Concerning pedestrian safety and to help alleviate traffic congestion at popular intersections, several pedestrian footbridges were erected in 1990s and the first was the Tropicana – Las Vegas Boulevard footbridge. Some feature designs that match the theme of the nearby resorts. Additional footbridges have been built on Las Vegas Boulevard. The footbridges include:
Veer Towers:. Connects Veer Towers, Waldorf Astoria, and Crystals Shopping Center
Park MGM and T-Mobile Arena Park: Connects MGM and Showcase Mall
Planet Hollywood: Connects Planet Hollywood, CityCenter, Crystals Shopping Center, and The Cosmopolitan.
Spring Mountain Road and Las Vegas Blvd. Corner: Connects Treasure Island, the Wynn, Fashion Show Mall, and The Venetian
Flamingo Road and Las Vegas Blvd. Corner: Connects Bally's, Flamingo, Bellagio, and Caesars Palace
Las Vegas Blvd and Tropicana Ave Corner. Connects the MGM Grand, New York-New York, Excalibur, and Tropicana
There has been negative feedback from pedestrians about the elevated crosswalks due to need to walk as much as a quarter-mile to reach an intersection to cross the street and to then walk back some distance on the other side of the street to get to their desired destinations.
After a driver drove into pedestrians on the sidewalk in front of Paris Las Vegas and Planet Hollywood in December 2015, 800 bollards began to be installed on Las Vegas Blvd. starting in 2017. The construction of the bollards resulted in the removal of 49 of the 82 stars of the Las Vegas Walk of Stars. In 2019, the bollards on Las Vegas Blvd. were shortened due to feedback from drivers that the bollards were obstructing street views. 283 of the 4,500 bollards will be shortened from 54 inches to 36 inches. The shortened bollards line 20 different driveways.
Studies conducted by Clark County in 2012 and 2015 identified issues with congestion. The studies resulted in $5 million of improvements, including LED lights, ADA ramps, containment fencing, widening sidewalks, and removing permanent obstructions, such as signs, signposts, trash cans, and fire hydrants. The studies also identified non-permanent obstructions causing congestion, such as street performers, vendors, handbillers, signholders, and illegal street gambling. Modifications to non-obstruction zones and increased enforcement were implemented in order to reduce congestion.

Dear Hollywood,
Why don’t you stop, sit down and take, like, a month to study Studio Ghibli, a studio that’s massively successful WITHOUT cut-out “female characters” and no constant conflict, some actual quiet moments and deep characters, female and male.
We’re tired and you’re losing money.
Drop the pandering and you’ll have work that’s got actual heart (and also not wind up supporting mysogony, phobias, etc), and art that has rewatch worth and can be passed down to our children and continue to inspire thousands like the classic movies are.
Jasmine and Snow White are strong characters, just not in the patriachatyped way the west seems to think is The Way TM female characters can be strong (i.e. Laura Croft and Captain Marvel because they can run with the boys TM, but in that aspiration, forgot they need to be actual characters.) Hell, a majority of the Marvel characters have become an “I cope too hard with humor like Deadpool to cater to the grossly immature members of the audience, but really I’m just ensuring nothing about this film stays serious and profound” characature. Essentially, Marvel no longer has characters; even the old ones who’ve survived this long have been mutilated by writer/director ignorance of the previous works of which they, somehow, became a part of.
Continuity and good characterisations are not too much to ask for. It’s the basic principles in story telling.
You want more live actions? Fuck Snow White and the talking animal movies; no one wants to see it live/another live action of it and they can’t be improved with live action and CGI (unless ingenuitively reimagined), give us Atlantis and Treasure Planet. Revive the works you sent out to die but are tremendously wonderful stories.
DO support inclusivity, but don’t do it in transparent pandering, it’s obvious and heartless, and we deserve more than that. Take risks, damnit, you’re essentially too big to lose badly anyway, right now, and you’re dying slowly now either way. (Hmm, gee, I wonder why Spiderverse and Nimona are sooooo good!)
PS: treat your writers and CGI techs like actual people. Also, NOT supporting a genocide would really get you back into the good graces of most of my generation. And people (see: companies) would listen to you if you so much as tried to pave the way in green energy and planet conservation (like your work likes to make it seem you care about).
*The news is too depressing and heavy for me to watch, so I learn bits and pieces of what’s happening mainly from discourse I come across online, so if I got something wrong, what’s why it’s wrong. Let me know what’s right and everyone will go on with their days.

Blog Post #1 - The globalization of movie
Tumblr media
Movies are a window into the world, not merely a means of enjoyment. The globalization of films has grown to be a potent force in today's linked world, bringing cultures, narratives, and feelings from all over the world to our screens. This blog article will examine how globalization has helped films transcend boundaries and improve our lives.
Movies appeal to everyone. Stories told on the silver screen connect with audiences worldwide, regardless of the language they are spoken in or the nation they are from. As the center of the film business, Hollywood has long been a significant driver in the globalization of the film industry. Blockbusters like "Titanic" and "Avatar" have won over audiences from Tokyo to Toronto, demonstrating the universality of good narrative.
Foreign films have gained popularity as Hollywood continues to rule the global film industry, enhancing our cinematic experiences with various viewpoints. In addition to receiving critical praise, films like "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" (China), "Amélie" (France), and "Parasite" (South Korea) have helped us appreciate other cultures and traditions. They demonstrate the influence of cross-cultural dialogue on cinema.
The popularity of streaming services like Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Disney+ has made international films more widely available. These platforms provide a wide selection of foreign films, allowing viewers to learn about various histories, languages, and cultures. The world of cinema is now more accessible and diversified than ever by pressing "play."
Numerous foreign films are presented at film festivals, including Cannes, Sundance, and the Berlin Foreign Film Festival. These celebrations of the filmmaking craft also help spread foreign films worldwide. They provide skilled filmmakers with a stage to tell their tales and interact with a larger audience.
Movies have a particularly effective way of fostering cross-cultural awareness and promoting it. They can make historical occurrences, societal concerns, and personal experiences more transparent that would not otherwise be the case. Across linguistic and cultural boundaries, films like "Schindler's List," "Life Is Beautiful," and "A Separation" have inspired crucial discussions on global challenges.
In conclusion, the globalization of film is evidence of the value of narrative and the need for human connection. Movies are a constant reminder of our common humanity and the shared language of passion and imagination that links us all as they continue to transcend boundaries and provide peeks into the rich fabric of our planet. The magic of film has no bounds, whether you're watching a Hollywood blockbuster or a foreign indie treasure.

WANT  TO BECOME A MILLIONAIRE?
Tumblr media
107,090 people clicked the green button to make easy money with this script
AND IF THIS DOESN'T WORK - I WILL PAY YOU $350!
but if you want to earn easy money you have to pay attention to everything i share on the next page..
It's high level but super basic for you to understand when you get it
And before you click the green button below..
Imagine dropping your job to the curb and buying your dream car or dream home in the next few weeks,
but let me warn you
before you take action and decide to click the blue earn button below.
Some of my methods are unorthodox on the next page
what they don't tell you is this..
Sometimes you have to break the rules to get what you want.
and I will explain what I mean on the next page..
Come on!
In fact, when I searched the internet for ways to become rich and
success, none of them talk about this.
Despite this I'm talking about:
The key to helping moms and everyday women like you become rich beyond your wildest dreams...
not something you need to dig up like treasure buried on a remote island,
that's not something you need to learn from a mage deep in the Amazon rainforest.
No, it's much simpler, it's probably in your wallet right now, maybe between your makeup and those credit cards that have run out.
You can't buy it from any master, and last time I checked...
None of the so-called rich professionals like
Dave Ramsey, Suze Orman or Robert Kiyosaki...
on the internet are talking about it.
Tumblr media
Even experts in the law of attraction are behind the road, like:
Joe Vitale, Joe Dispenza, Esther Hicks, John Asaraff.
and even the movie Secret has no clue about this
Tumblr media
Which the late Bob Proctor briefly reiterated in an interview.
That was never announced to the public...
But I decided to go down to the rabbit hole like Alice in Wonderland
and what i found out will make you spit...
like you're watching a "Coen Brothers" movie.
Unbelievable, you'd think I made it up...
But I assure you, it's the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, so help me, Lord.
Instead, this is actually inside of you right now,
and until a rogue ex-military security agent reveals a secret script made at the ceremonial parties of a private mansion in Hollywood Hills, California...
I also didn't realize the power of this thing.
But what's inside you right now is capable of:
makes you as rich as you want to be and has the potential to make you a millionaire overnight.
Tumblr media
CORRECT! YOU HEAR THE RIGHT WORD
An overnight millionaire, really think and let it soak in.
BECAUSE IT IS CORRECT
But here's the bottom line:
You just need to do the one thing I'm talking about. Think you know what it is?
I would be very surprised if you did because I had never heard of this until the day I found out the secret...
was found deep in the heavily guarded community of the Hollywood Hills Of California from a group of celebrities I am about to reveal.
Tumblr media
But now I realize that science is now confirming exactly what this can do for you
>>> CLICK HERE 👉 https://goeco.link/pKofv
that if you unlock this within you, then you can attract money and wealth easily
... and that every woman on planet earth has the ability to do so.
Now, I understand that this sounds a bit too easy, but...
Just read till the end of the day and you will see why this has the power to change the direction of your life in no time.
And in fact it was done:
So for myself and for thousands of others across the planet, and while I share a very personal and embarrassing story with you.
For the women who have the guts to keep reading this, and doing this to change everything in their lives almost overnight...
Keep your eyes and ears wide open because you've just found a needle in the bottom of a haystack.
And for the men brave enough to read it, DON'T read it... This is not for you!! >>> CLICK HERE 👉 https://goeco.link/pKofv
This is for women and only women who are serious and committed to changing every area of their lives.
And even though we've had a large number of men swear this script works
What you are about to hear is extremely groundbreaking, emotional, humiliating and some men could be hurt if they decide to read this.
So if you are a man and decide to read it now
Readers should be cautious..
But like I said, this is designed for the average girl:
The girl was over 35 years old and had a slow start in life.
The girl stuck in the rat race because she didn't have a degree
The girl is sick and tired of being broke
The girl with questionable credit and a pile of debt
The girl was deceived and lied to by the man
  Fat girl, unhealthy and slow
The girl who hates her body shape
The girl who tried almost everything and failed again and again
And the girl is really trying for her family to win but is constantly being knocked down and feels the pain of failure every time she tries to become a greater version of themselves.
And if you decide to let go, I'll give you a secret script that changed my life and the lives of 107,037 women just like you
women who fulfill their dreams and desires almost overnight
women are now traveling the world with their children almost every month
women who have 6 to 7 numbers in their bank account with no worries in the world
the women are now driving their dream cars and living in luxury homes In gated communities
These women are now spending quality time with their children and grandchildren
women look younger and feel younger with the same energy as 21
women who have broken the chains of poverty and are no longer prisoners of the matrix
And honestly, I don't care if you're skeptical because you should
But you won't find this esoteric information in any self-help book or by attending any blood-sucking money-making seminars to trick you into sending them money.
This is NOT about working hard, sacrificing or spending years to get the free life you deserve all because:
A 20-word script will open doors to full of wealth, money, happiness, and freedom for you and your family sooner.
But before you take the script and use it tonight,
You can't really know where you want to be until you know where you are.
