Imagine Master Fung holds a sort of parent-teacher conference at the Xiaolin temple.
Daddy Bailey and Momma Bailey come to check on how Clay's doing, Toshiro comes overjoyed with the chance to gush about how much he loves his daughter, Raimundo's extended family that he mentioned comes
And Omi is sad because he's sure no one's going to come for him
But Chase Young shows up, having invited himself, partly because he knew Omi was going to be sulking about no one else showing up for him, and partly because he has so many complaints about the temple curriculum for his little one

Xiaolin showdown Toshiro Tohomiko and Panda Bubba
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I would like to tell you
I had a crazy idea
I don't know where the idea came from I was going about my business when the idea came to me.
What do I mean? The answer is this:
( Panda Bubba & Toshiro Tohomiko) ship
I know, even I'm shocked by my idea.
Seemingly No one thought the same idea.
I didn't find anyone who shipped them. This really surprised me that You guys haven't thought about this before
So tell me what you think
This thought came to my mind like lightning
I mean' we haven't seen Kimiko's mom.
Not even her pictures of Kimiko's mom
No one mentioned her In both Showdown and Chronicles
So it makes sense that Toshiro is a single-parent
Honestly, I would pay a million bucks to see the reaction of Tomoko and Kimiko When they found out that Their father dated criminal Boss
I die of laughter when I imagine them

Kimiko + Omi, ranting about Disney princess movies
I like how you didn't specify who was doing the ranting. This one also got a little long lol. Not sure where this slots into the AU exactly but I can see it happening some time in season 1 between Wu.
"And furthermore," Omi continued with one finger raised in the air, "I do not understand why this Snow White simply ate the poisoned apple when she could have easily bested her foe in hand-to-hand combat!" "Oh my God," Kimiko muttered to herself with a hand to her forehead. The teenaged monk hadn't stopped ranting since the movie ended fifteen minutes ago.
"She is young and agile!" Omi continued, oblivious to Kimiko's distress. "And she has powerful allies at her disposal! She could have dispatched the witch herself with no great effort!"
"Omi, dawg," Jermaine said from his spot on the couch, "I get that you're really passionate about this and all but...it's just a story. It doesn't have to be realistic, it just has to be entertaining." "But I was not entertained!" Omi flung his arms into the air. "I find no value in this story!"
"It seemed like you were having fun during the dwarf parts." Omi stood still for a moment, then let his arms drop. "...I found some value in the story," he allowed. "Great," Kimiko said. "Now can you sit back down? I think Papa's going to explode if he doesn't get the next movie started." Seriously, her Papa was practically vibrating. Omi glanced at her Papa, then opened his mouth as if to say more, but seemed to think better of it when he caught sight of Kimiko's expression. Sullenly, he slunk back to the couch and sat down next to Jermaine. Kimiko rolled her eyes. This was definitely the last time she'd let her dad talk her into movie night.

I love the idea of Kimiko going to Japan to find a Shen Gong Wu and meeting up with her girls there, but do you think Seiko and Keiko would ever come visit Kimiko at the temple?
Oh, they would love to! However, there are some obstacles that may keep postponing their visit.
They can't simply skip school, right? They're regular girls with responsibilities!
As has been said already, Seiko and Keiko have their own lives, so even during holidays in Japan, it would be difficult to find some time for a longer visit abroad.
Their parents are sort of skeptical if it's a good idea to let girls stay at the temple for many reasons (money/foreign country, it's rather far from the nearest city etc) And they would be aware it might be difficult with the transport. (Although, Toshiro suggested he would hire someone to take the girls to the temple in one of his helicopters. They kindly turned down the offer, but they assured Mr. Toshiro someday when the time is more appropriate they might jump at it)
Keiko is the one who's very disappointed with her parents' decision. She accidentally brought up that the flying dragon could be a nice travel alternative but luckily her folks considered it a joke.
Seiko jokes that she shouldn't visit the xiaolin temple because she would not let Master Fung sleep at night until he shows her the armory. Kimiko mentions there's no such a thing - only a room with bows and not-so-impressive smaller weapons. But Seiko, the fan of conspiracy theories, keeps on insisting each temple has its own secrets and she would find them. 'Master Fung is patient but NOT THAT PATIENT. please go easy on him' - Kimiko giggles in absolute defeat.
I think that the ideas I came up with neatly connect with the xs plot. They explain why Keiko is absent the whole show. Deep down Seiko and Keiko are afraid they would not be good at following the temple rules even as guests, so they're not pushing their parents to make the final decision either. The issue is not urgent anyway and moreover, they prefer to stay out of the 'saving the world' thing. Of course, it's cool to be a superhero, but it's about Kimiko's development - not theirs. Seiko and Keiko want her to train with no distractions, at least the first year or two.
But oh boy, what a joy it would be once Seiko and Keiko turn up at the temple's entrance! Girls' night, alright? That's a must! (lol Omi would be invited too. He's so lucky he's cute)
Ngl it would be extra interesting if the girls stayed at the temple when monks go for another shen gong wu when suddenly it would turn out the enemy is infiltrating the premises. Master Fung, several monks, and two Japanese girls against the unknown threat. That would be dope.
Even better idea: Seiko and Keiko visit Kimiko at the same time Jesse visits Clay. Can't Jesse use wings of tinabi and drop by from time to time??? Yeah, she could visit anytime with such a magical means of transport! I want them to form a trio, ok? I believe they would hit it off, just saying.

If they got to meet (and pretend Hai and Fei weren't dead), how would the parents of the dragons get along?
Hai and Fei, Daddy Baily and Mama Bailey, Toshiro Tohomiko and Mama Tohomiko. Like, if they all met at a parent-teacher conference with Fung or something.
I headcanon that Mama Tohomiko isn't alive in present day either, but we'll go with the assumption that she is, and hypothetically include Raimundo's parents too.
I feel like while Mama Bailey and Tohomiko would get along swimmingly, Daddy Bailey wouldn't think very highly of Toshiro even though Toshiro thinks he's a neat guy. Toshiro is a businessman, which is respectable, but he's also a city man and an inventor at that, and I don't know that Daddy would be altogether too impressed by a man who spends most of his time playing with toys and inventing games for children.
Given how Raimundo is, and how he implies he has a large family with pretty laid back parents, I don't know that Daddy Bailey would get along very well with them either. Seems like he wouldn't very much approve of a big rowdy family without a lot of discipline.
I think Toshiro and Mama Tohomiko would get along well with Raimundo's parents, though. Toshiro seems like the type that would treat anyone with respect no matter what their background, which would probably go over well with Raimundo's parents. Plus Toshiro loves kids, and given Raimundo seems to have a lot of siblings and cousins, he and Mrs Tohomiko would probably be thrilled to see such a big happy family.
Honestly I don't see Hai and Fei getting along badly with any of the other sets of parents either.
Hai and Fei aren't ranchers like the Baileys, but they do raise their own animals and grow some of their own food, so that would probably earn them some respect from a salt of the earth type like Daddy Bailey, and Mama Bailey likes the sound of their peaceful sort of life. Hai and Fei having such a big family themselves they'd probably get along with the Pedrosa parents, too, all the people they know would make them feel right at home. And Toshiro and Mama Tohomiko would get along swimmingly with the couple; the Tohomikos would be fascinated by their lifestyle being so traditional, and Hai and Fei would be amazed to see what kinds of technological advancements are in the modern world, especially with all the stuff Mr Tohomiko had a hand in developing.

kimiko is deeply proud of her family and is aware of and comfortable with her privilege and what it can do for her ( and her friends ) but it can’t be denied that when she was told of her potential destiny and offered a place at the xiaolin temple she was excited for the chance to be known as and make a name for herself as just kimiko and not tohomiko kimiko, daughter of toshiro.

Why is Tohomiko Electronic rebranded?
Toshiro (Kimiko's dad) got old and couldn't run the company effectively anymore. Since Tomoko wasn't around, it was either let Jack buy out the company or have Kimiko step up. Kimiko was not about to let that happen.
Jack has been politely goading Kimiko with buyout threats for the last 5 years when XCN starts.
Due to Kimiko's duties as a Xiaolin Dragon Warrior, she isn't able to keep up with the fast-paced world of gaming. So she pivoted to something else she's more comfortable with: fashion!!

“ no way, mommy and daddy convinced you to leave the basement? ” a hand planted on her velvet clad hip, kimiko lifts her chin and smirks. she had come to this gala at her papa’s request ( she couldn’t say no - they hardly see each other anymore due to her current lifestyle ) so she had left the temple for one night fully prepared to be bored out of her mind and talked down to by people who claim to have known her since she was a little girl. more like they know she has tohomiko toshiro’s ear and heart wrapped around her finger. seeing jack there she had briefly balked, suspicion flaring within her gut, before she remembers the last name spicer carries its own weight in this world. still, she couldn’t resist a little bit of barbed teasing. “ is this like that groundhog thing they do in the states? will we get five more hours of this terrible party? ”

" Not all of us are doted on hand and foot, Miss Tohomiko. I have to prove to my parents I deserve my allowance. " He jeered back, tugging at the collar of his uncomfortably form-fitting suit. Yeah, it looked good, but he didn't like the style. He didn't like dressing down this much either, " And it's mostly my mom. You shouldn't let her see you with me, who knows what she'll assume. Eugh... "
Luckily he knew a way out that was still technically part of the Galas operating space, so his mother wouldn't get mad at him for stepping away for a bit. Glancing at the monk though, he doubted she had any reason to follow him further if she didn't trust him, " I'm going to the performance hall. I officiate some, stupid tech demonstration in like an hour before my mom passes out, like, goody bags. It's going to be mostly empty for a bit and look, I'm not going to pull a stunt where my mom can see me. If you need fresh air it's basically across the hall. "

How differently do you think that the first episode of “Xiaolin Chronicles” would have gone if it had actually followed up on where “Xiaolin Showdown” had originally left off?
If there's a story that picks up right where season 3 left off, I'd like it to pick up the way @writerkatsblog started You're Okay, with Kimiko, Clay, Omi, and Jack getting to have some actual focus again (and their actual personalities back, anything that continues after season 3 needs to contend with how season 3 mishandled them) and sort of get to explore how they feel about giving it their all but not winning.
It'd be nice to start off a theoretical first episode of Xiaolin Chronicles by catching up with each of the monks where they're currently separate for a day. Slow down the pacing, re-establish their characters and where they come from, have them each re-affirm their call to action. A clipshow episode vibe, but no wasting screentime on actual flashbacks, just discussions about it.
Tumblr media
Jack licking his wounds in his lab and feeling frustrated, passed over, and confused after this jumble of unclear feelings and lingering mashed-up memories from the finale.
I don't know who I'd have pick him up, either Wuya or Megan or Jack's army of evil, but something that makes him end the scene with resolve and start building something big and exciting that the viewer can't see yet.
Tumblr media
Kimiko back home with her dad, and also with Keiko, who we finally get to meet.
Tumblr media
Clay in Texas spending some time with Jesse, or maybe with one of his parents.
Tumblr media
Omi meditating contemplatively on his own at the temple on a rainy day. I'd prefer the one to talk to Omi be Chase, they could have an extended chat about a lot of lingering feelings and there could be some parallels to how Chase wasn't chosen back in his day either. Chase tells Omi that there's one way to make sure he's not forgotten, like he will be if he stays this path, but Omi doesn't budge, as usual.
But it could just as easily be Dojo chatting with Omi. (It'd be way too out of character for Master Fung to care).
Tumblr media
And at the end of the episode, Kimiko and Clay arrive back at the temple, Omi runs to greet them, they're all feeling better after their personal days. Raimundo comes out of the temple reading over some scrolls while Master Fung is talking to him about something official. The other three monks exchange a light-hearted smile and a bit of a laugh, and in sync, they bow and say, "Greetings, Shoku Warrior Rai". He gives them an awkward smile back. The gang is back together. Music swells fondly in signal of new beginnings.
Dojo bursts in and says they have to cut the reunion short because--
Tumblr media
And we switch the scene back to Jack, who cackles evilly and notices his scanner saying there's a new Shen Gong Wu awakening. Time to go pay the Xiaolin losers back. Music swells ominously in signal of new beginnings.
End of first episode.
And I think the second episode, where they actually go to the Shen Gong Wu, should actually have them lose to Jack like they did occasionally back in season 1. Re-set some new stakes in lieu of a new villain. The main villain of the season should be Hannibal again, since he ended up doing pretty much nothing in season 3 despite the hints to some grander plan.

fic: linda
fandom: xiaolin showdown
characters: raimundo/kimiko, clay, omi, the tohomikos
summary: if raimundo hadn't known kimiko better, he'd think she was fishing for a compliment, given that omi and clay had just sung her praises. as it was, he did know her better, especially if the glint in her blue eyes was anything to go by, and he suddenly felt very uncomfortable.
notes: ooh, boy. let's see where to start: 1) "linda" means "beautiful" in portuguese; 2) the park our teen kiddos are at is "Shinjuku Gyoen." i highly recommend y'all google it. it's very beautiful; 3) kimiko's yukata is based off this image; 4) this is like headcanons gone wild, but most importantly, credit goes to @sunbirddtellsstories for "Tomoko." i can only hope i portrayed her the way she was intended to be. 5) dedicated to the anon that asked me for raikim. i hope to the heavens that i portrayed the characters accurately.

Raimundo barely had time to brace himself as the chilly spring air cut past the defenses of his layered clothing, right down to his bones.
He fought the urge to shiver as he sunk lower and lower into his coat, pulling his skull cap further over his ears before burrowing his hands into the safety of his coat pockets. He watched Clay shake like a pair of maracas on the ground, Omi pressed close to his side, like a squirrel clinging to a tree, in an effort to provide him warmth. He almost wanted to join them, anything to get rid of the goosebumps settling on his skin, but there was hardly any room on the blanket they sat on, with Clay's massive body taking up more than half the space, and somebody had to keep an eye out for Mr. Tohomiko for when he came back. The elderly man had insisted on getting them all hot drinks while they waited for the girls to show.
If only Kimiko were here; she could heat things up in an instant.
Speaking of Kimiko… leave it to her to take a long time, especially when this whole thing was her idea. Okay, maybe it wasn't her idea exactly - more like her sister's - but still. Japan was ridiculously cold. Where he's from, anything below sweltering was foreign, and even if he did spend the better part of three years training in the mountains of China, that didn't mean he was used to it.
Raimundo breathed a deep breath, watching it fade in the frigid air, and turned his gaze away from his friends to survey the park they were in.
Tokyo really was a beautiful city, especially in the spring. The only things he'd seen since their last visit were skyscrapers, shops, and shrines, and while those were nice and all, they paled in comparison to the city's blooming cherry blossom trees.
Sakura, Mr. Tohomiko had called them, stretched as far as the eye could see, the pink and white flowers breathtakingly beautiful against the bright blue sky, like something straight from a painting. There were hundreds, maybe even thousands, of people, families and couples and loners alike, scattered across the large expanse of the park with blankets and baskets and cameras, some seated in the sun having picnics, some relaxed beneath the shade of the trees on the petal-laden ground.
There were women, children, and even some men dressed in elaborately designed kimono for the occasion, though the bulk of them wore regular, civilian clothes, and he wondered briefly if Kimiko would be wearing hers. (He quickly banished the thought). Raimundo was pretty sure he saw at least three ponds on their walk across the park, two different sections of landscape with their own sets of flora and fauna, a pavilion located across a bridge, and from their spot beneath a Sakura tree he could even see a tower in the distance.
If it weren't for the fact that he was waiting for the others, he definitely would've gone exploring by now. What did Kimiko call this festival again? Hanabi? Hanami? Hababi? Whatever! It was nothing like he'd ever seen, and he was thankful the Tohomikos were kind enough to let them join their family outing.
Though I'd truly be thankful if they hurried up, he thought to himself as another gust of wind blew through the park. Any longer out here and I'll be a human popsicle.
Just as he was about to ask Clay and Omi to make room for him, he saw Mr. Tohomiko slip through a gap in the crowd, carrying two cup holders full of piping hot drinks. Raimundo immediately moved after him, his hands already on the drinks before the man could react. "Here, let me help you with that."
Toshiro blinked at him, surprised, but then he smiled before relinquinshing his hold on the items. "You have my gratitude, Pedrosa-san. By the way, I hope I didn't take too long. Japan's spring can be a little unforgiving at times."
"Nah, it's okay," Raimundo replied with a smile of his own, following him to where Clay and Omi were seated. "Though I'm not sure if I can say the same for our pal Clay."
"Forgive me, Bailey-san," Toshiro apologized with a slight bow of his head and a sympathetic smile once they'd reached them. "I wasn't expecting to encounter so many Goo Zombie fans in one place."
"That's quite alright, sir," said Clay, nodding his head in thanks when he handed him a drink from the tray. "If anythin', I should be the one apologizin'. Had I known you'd be swarmed, I'd gone with you."
"With your station, you must get attacked a lot," Omi said, making a grab for one of the teas. "I can't imagine what it's like to be a famous person in such a big city."
"You certainly like to try," Raimundo teased, grinning when the young boy shot him a glare over the rim of his cup.
The Dragon of Water blew into his tea before taking a sip, sparing Toshiro an earnest look. Genuinely, he added, "If you'd like, Mr. Tohomiko, we can accompany you until we return to the temple. We'll make sure no harm befalls Kimiko's papa."
Toshiro let out a hearty laugh, his smile as kind and warm as ever. "What kind young men you are! But there's no need to worry over an old man like me. Kimiko and Tomoko help me plenty already."
"Now that you mention them," Clay trailed off, curling his knees to his chest with a swig of his coffee, "what d'ya reckon's keepin' 'em?"
Toshiro fished into his coat pocket for his cell phone in order to check the time, his brows knitted in confusion. "I'm not sure," he answered. "It has been quite some time since we were scheduled to meet. Perhaps, I should call them."
"Knowing Kimiko, she probably lost track of time doing her nails again, right, Omi?" Raimundo joked, elbowing him with a wink after placing the trays on the blanket. "It wouldn't be the first time, now would it?"
"Nor the last," the younger monk agreed, recalling the time where their friend forgot the Ancient Scroll of the Shen Gong Wu over her panda faces.
"What d'ya think it is this time?" Raimundo asked with a grin, pilfering a cup of hot cocoa from the tray before opting to lean against the tree. "Giraffes or smiley faces?"
Omi shook his head. "She did smiley faces last week." Then he smiled and said, "My butt's on teddy bears."
"Uh, that's 'bet's,' bro," Raimundo corrected him with a raised brow. "I think she'll settle for something simple this time, like french tip."
"My wager's on flowers," Clay added, gesturing to the pink petals on the ground with his cup. "It'd certainly fit the theme of this here's festival."
As the boys continued to ponder over Kimiko's possible nail designs, Toshiro watching the exchange with a hint of amusement, none of them noticed the girls making their way through the crowd, towards their group. Not until one of them called out to Mr. Tohomiko.
"Papa!" Tomoko exclaimed, earning everyone's attention.
She looked completely out of breath as she came to a stop in front of her father, though that did nothing to stop her from smiling, and she hugged him just before launching into an explanation in Japanese. Apparently, her fans had swarmed her on the way here too, and wouldn't let her leave until she'd signed every single autograph and taken every single group photo there was to offer. It was thanks to the efforts of Kimiko that they even made it at all.
Raimundo heard a series of footsteps from behind father and daughter, followed by a chain of frustrated grunts, and knew it was Kimiko and her friend Keiko. Clay and Omi stood up, eager to finally see their teammate after what felt like hours in the cold, dusting cherry blossoms off of their clothes in the process. The Shoku leader smirked into his cup before closing his eyes and taking a swig of his cocoa, relishing in the sweetness just as Kimiko came into view.
"Geez, Kim. It took you long enough," he teased after swallowing his drink. "D'you have any idea how long we've been waiting for y-" But the faux complaint died on his lips when he finally opened his eyes and saw her, and in that moment only one word came to mind.
"What," Kimiko shot back with a raised brow, a smirk dancing across on her face. "Cat got your tongue? Say something!"
If Raimundo had thought Tokyo was beautiful in the spring before, then that was nothing compared to how Kimiko looked now. While a tiny, fleeting part of him had hoped she was wearing a kimono, he hadn't really expected her to go the whole nine, considering how much she'd loathed them in the past, but then again, it wouldn't really be Kimiko if she wasn't constantly proving him wrong.
She stood out like a flower all on her own in her black kimono, a dark swirl in a sea of color. Small pink and white petals adorned the top half of it, much like the cherry blossoms surrounding them, including the sleeves, though the closer it got to the bottom, they varied in size and shape until it was bursting with color, and holding it all together was a bright, gold sash and red string. Of course, her outfit wouldn't be complete if she didn't have a purse to match. Her hair was fashioned with both the Tangled Web Comb and Changing Chopsticks in an elaborately braided bun, her face framed by the loose, black curls that managed to escape her updo.
Had it been him three years ago, he'd have acted like an idiot and teased her on the spot, anything to downplay his attraction. But now, at 16-years-old, Raimundo found himself, not for the first time, speechless. She was- Kimiko was-
"Beautiful!" Omi had blurted at the top of his lungs.
Raimundo hadn't realized he'd been gawking at her like some kinda dopey, cross-eyed schoolboy until the small monk was no longer at his side, but fluttering about Kimiko with all the tenacity of a 13-year-old boy in love. Quickly, he averted his gaze to Keiko, whom he acknowledged with a nod of his head, as heat settled in his ears and cheeks, and for once since he'd arrived in Japan, he found himself grateful for the cold. He didn't trust his voice and he was pretty sure he looked like a tomato right now.
"Look at you! Well, aren't you 'bout as pretty as a magnolia in May?" Clay remarked, tipping his hat up with a finger to get a better view of their friend.
Omi nodded his head with a flourish as he admired her apperance from head to toe. "You look very pretty, Kimiko. You've even managed to incorporate the Changing Chopsticks into your wardrobe this time!"
Kimiko's cheeks darkened, though she beamed at their compliments, and she touched the aforementioned Shen Gong Wu with her free hand. "You like? At first I wasn't going to add them, but it went too well with my outfit to pass up. Plus, you never know when it'll come in handy."
"And look!" Omi cooed excitedly, taking her hand and holding it up like he'd just uncovered a new Shen Gong Wu. "She even styled her nails after France, just like you said Raimundo."
Quietly, she looked to Rai, who hadn't said a single word since she'd first arrived and raised a brow at him, her cocky smirk ever-present. "Well, Rai? What do you think?"
If Raimundo hadn't known Kimiko better, he'd think she was fishing for a compliment, given that Omi and Clay had just sung her praises. As it was, he did know her better, especially if the glint in her blue eyes was anything to go by, and he suddenly felt very uncomfortable. She'd purposely put him on the spot. (Granted, Omi did it first; he'd have to have a little talk with him about this later). He was vaguely aware that the guys were staring at him, anticipating his next words, but thankfully Tomoko had latched onto her sister's arm before Raimundo could loosen the knot on his tongue and speak.
He released a breath he hadn't realized he'd been holding when the older Tohomiko girl had pulled her, and by extension Keiko, towards Toshiro for a group photo, with Omi as their photographer. Clay put a hand on Raimundo's shoulder as the group huddled together, a soft, yet knowing smile overtaking the cowboy's lips.
"That pretty, huh?" Clay asked, dropping his hand when Rai looked at him.
Though his hot cocoa was long gone, Raimundo felt a warmth settle in his stomach as turned back to face the group, just in time to see a genuine smile break out over Kimiko's face. For the first time ever, he found himself admitting a very obvious truth: Kimiko was beautiful.
"Yeah."
Clay blinked, taken aback by his best friend's gentle admission, but it didn't last very long and soon he found himself smiling too.

More Xiaolin Showdown Heathers!AU
I have drawn more characters for the AU. Presenting:
Tumblr media
Kimiko Tohomiko as Veronica Sawyer
I had a few character’s in mind, but I decided on Kimiko as Veronica because I can see Kimiko being like Veronica. They both have potential to be bad people, but they know it’s not the right thing to do.
Also both characters wear multiple outfits in their respected.
For the AU, Kimiko will wear clothes that Veronica wears (like the one above), and she still changes her hairstyle accordingly (no wigs).
Background: Kimiko’s father, Toshiro Tohomiko, is the owner of Tohomiko Electronics (so just like in the show), and built an American division, where he and his family moved soon afterwards when Kimiko was young.
Studying to one day take over the family company, Kimiko is a genius when it comes to technology, but she also, strangely, likes to study and forge other peoples handwriting. This came about due to years of having to copy her mother and father’s signature for permission notes.
It also got the attention of the Heathers, which lead to her joining them.
Despite being a Heather (kind of), Kimiko doesn’t approve of how they discriminate and make fun of other people, so she talks to other people outside of the Heathers to try and connect with them.
Kimiko generally loves (loved?) Raimundo, but doesn’t approve of his judgement/justice and wishes they could have had a normal relationship (like in ‘Seventeen’)
Raimundo Pedrosa as Jason ‘JD’ Dean
Raimundo’s design is based off his design in Chronicles.
Like Veronica, I was tossing up between a few characters to be JD. I chose Raimundo because he chose to go bad - he even tried to convince the other monks (sans Omi) to try and join him when Wuya took over in the show.
Headcannon: unlike in Showdown, Rai is an only child, but he does have A LOT of cousins (he has quiet the extended family), but he hasn’t seen them in years due to all the moving he and his dad do.
He has a complicated relationship with his father, especially the death of his mother.
Raimundo is more street smart and a strategist than an academic, though he is still pretty knowledgeable in that area.
Raimundo has a very strong sense of justice/judgement and doesn’t like bullies and he will do anything to end it (and to anyone who gets in his way).
Raimundo also generally loves Kimiko, but it becomes an obsession when she breaks it off due to his behaviour. He regrets that she didn’t see it his way.
Omi as Martha Dunstock
I gave Omi a nose at the last minute, and I regret it.
Besides from that, the only real change is the fact Omi isn’t wearing monk robes.
Similar to how in the musical Martha always has a unicorn on her jumper, Omi has a dragon his shirt and any other clothes/outfits he may wear.
I imagined Omi as Martha when listening to the song ‘Beautiful’ and I heard her line “I’d like them to be nicer”. IT”S SO CANON FOR OMI; he generally wanted Jack to be good and he believes Chase could be good again (despite the manipulation).
Omi is picked on by his fellow students for many reasons: his abnormally short size, the way he messes up slang, his naivety and child-like nature, and his status of being an orphan and how he’s adopted by Principal Fung.
Bonus
Tumblr media
Chase Young as Heather Chandler after death
This idea is based on Heather Chandler’s appearance in the musical
The design of Chase’s robe is meant to resembles his dragon form, which is why it’s green, despite the head Heather colour being red.
The only red featured on the robe is the tie/sash that can just be seen behind/under his arm I.
The idea is the ‘hangover remedy’ they give him is Lao Mang Long (or that’s what they call it)
Physically, when his body is found he looks normal, but with his spirit/ghost his ears are now noticeably pointed, his eyes are blood shot, his got patches of scales all over his body and, on occasions, the ‘Lao Mang Long’ drips from the corner of his mouth.

Toshiro the ULTIMATE DAD, 5, 27, 31, 48
5. Cleanliness habits (personal, workspace, etc.)
I think he's kind of messy but not a total slob. i mean i headcanon he has adhd so as a result he tends to forget where he's put things, doesn't like putting things away bc then he can't remember where they are, etc.
27. What is their biggest regret?
I haven't figured out her deal exactly but Tomoko exists in the AU and left him and Kimiko when Kimiko was 5 (she's a good bit older than kim, maybe 14-15 years older). I think that's his biggest regret.
31. Most prized possession?
idk man. either a baby picture of kimiko or like a SUPER rare videogame/system/arcade game
48. How do they express love?
I think he shows love by making things for people. He'll program an entire AI or build a gadget just to solve a problem for someone he loves.

I've just learned that one of the translation variations of Kimiko's name is: 'valuable'. Like, wow Mr. Toshiro you're completely right! Taking into account how much he loves her, no wonder he considers her the most precious thing that happened in his life.
Don't mind me, I've just teared up at this revelation like it's so cute Mr Toshiro now I like you even more <3
