This documentary proves that people in fandoms, people who get emotionally invested in a tv series or a character, can make a difference. I had no idea so many shows I loved were saved because of these amazingly devoted fans writing letters, buying Subway sandwiches, and mailing in 50,000 pounds of peanuts to CBS. WATCH THIS!
kausartheperson When we became friends 13 years ago, we always knew we'd do something big. Who woulda known it would be this? 🤪❤️💫 💍 TOLD HER TO CALL ME FIANCÉ
Is there a storyline that you really wanted on DS9 or 4400 that you really wanted/fought for but for whatever reason (network, show runners, etc) it just didn't happen? A story arc, a character reveal, etc.? If so, can you tell us about it?
I've answered this a bunch of times, but for DS9 I had a time travel story where the Defiant appeared at a critical battle in the Klingon/Federation Wars and Sisko realized he had to massacre the Klingon fleet to preserve the timeline. I later turned this into "Angel Dark, Demon Bright" for ANDROMEDA.
For THE 4400, I really wanted to see what Seattle/Promise City would've been like in Season 5, but alas, twas not to be.
We watched the entire series of The 4400 in six days 🤣
And we're now starting Orphan Black, because I've never actually seen it. It was one of those fandoms where I knew everything about it because all my mutuals were into it, but I was homeless and bouncing around without access to TV and then, I just never got around to watching it.
Here we are! Only three episodes in and I'm totally in love with Tatiana. What a babe😳😍
I keep having issue where the scale of Manifest is all over the place - they keep framing the passenger issues as nation, world-spanning, but there's like 200 of them
There's SOME justification for most of the passengers being around New York, because the precipitating event was a plane from the Caribbean to New York, so a substantial number of the characters were based there.
But it still feels weird when compared to say, the 4400, where that's a fair number of people, and events increase them, or Raising Dion, where there's an unknown number of people
