Chill, "my friends"! Besides that one chair game, since when did the story establish we were so close? I'd even forgotten your names, although I replayed the beginning of book 1 a week or so ago. We spent so much time with the younger Clements and Venandis I thought they were my friends 🙃
Of course, the MC had to feel bad about it afterwards but due to the aforementioned reasons the scene was also kinda satisfying if you chose to cut them off.

"Please help him" the Sharlayan laid bright lilies on the steps of Nophica's Altar. It had become a tradition of sorts now, and every time he came to Gridania now he stopped in this very spot and said a prayer for his Laurent. It was always a short one, with no names mentioned in case he was overheard. "Help him see I'll never leave him behind or alone."
Moons became other Moons, and days combined with days. He had found his first white tendril of hair just a few bells earlier, and his eyes looked more tired than usual as he watched the subtle breeze blow across the petals and threaten to send his gift spiraling off to the four corners of the Star. Normally when the Duskwight was in this mood he would just go and talk to his sister who would set him right as rain. She knew much about love and sadness but most of all she understood the worry that washed over a person when the person they couldn't imagine their life without was suddenly changed.
This time he chose to keep her out of things. He knew if she heard any of this she would put her own wedding on hold and stop her plans to go to Corethas with Clement and Kovalt, to be there at his side. Viviane had given enough of her life to others, it was time for his darling Sister to have her day in the Sun. She had gone through six Moons of Counseling in Ishgard with one of the Priests to help her with her troubles and in the days recently behind them he had seen such a change in her. Dimitri was happy for her, more than he expressed because his heart was so consumed by worry for his fiance. The worst part was she knew something was wrong he could see it in those expressive blue eyes as she looked at him, but like he had told Clement when the met by accident in the fall, Vi could not be brought into this. It was the longest that Dimitri had hidden anything from his Sister and he was on the edge of considering himself a liar at this point.
"He has served you and yours well." He murmured to the Altar, his hand coming to rest over a sigil he had begun to wear that bore Nophica's marking. He talked to her often now, and he had begun to believe. He had never been a man of faith, but now he would do everything he could to help Laurent, even going as far as to push away years of training about how the Twelve we not real, and perhaps they weren't in the corporeal sense, but every time the Sharlayan stood in front of this altar he felt the presence of Faith and Hope, and it stilled his mind for a little while.
"Remind him I love him." He murmured further, some nights were easier than others, but on this one tears sprung to his eyes and soon left crystalline paths cutting down over his normally pale cheeks. Tonight they were pink from the chill in the air, and he found himself wondering briefly if they would turn to ice on his face as they fell only to shatter under his feet.
"Please?" The word was a struggle "Help Him." Kneeling down he left a drawing of two men kissing near the flowers, their faces unfinished but one had short hair of blonde and the other a deep brown that curled down his back. Then he rose, wiped his eyes and shoved his hands in his pockets so they wouldn't get cold on his walk.
Somewhere in Gridania that night a heart ached for its lover and it cried from all the uncertainty that one twist of fate had left on their path.

NO BECAUSE THIS MUST BE FATE!!! I SAW THAT VERY TIKTOK AND IT WAS A KINDA INSPIRATION FOR ME^^ Also thank you for the compliment, you too! You’re so overly detailed and you go these long essay rants, and I just get so excited because I know it’s gonna be good 🦋🦋🦋. But he’s very traditional and country. I can imagine him having strict parents. His dad was a big ole gun nut from a long line of deer/bear hunters who were veterans (became one himself) and his mom a overly religious church woman, with a long line of family that either married men who positions in church or men who held positions themselves. She was Around marriageable age and her family was just waiting for a man to pick her up and marry her, and that’s what his dad just did. Saw her, followed her home, and in front of her demanded parents to hand her over to him. Eventually, they did since nobody step up to claim her and all men who were originally interested was never heard of again (he shot them all). Two Weeks Later she was legally and officially his. Nobody was concerned with the quick arrangement due to the recently spiked in missing young adult men, they never did find the cause 🤔. She was raised to be move in elegance and grace, she’s regard herself as prim and proper young woman. But for Clement (Clem to his wife) a man who grew up on the rougher and more dirtier side of town. A man who use to wrestle his brothers in the mud, in midnight sneak onto the fields of farms and flip over cows, race his father’s beat up truck on dirt roads, come home in the pinch of night covered in dry dirt head from toe, lost his virginity in a barn on some haystacks, never taught proper manners, his Sunday best (if he actually went to church) was a regular white shirt with dirt covered jeans and his failed attempt to slick back his hair, went skinny dipping, went to house parties held in the woods, use to work in a pork processing factory, was never given a curfew, education and learning wasn’t his strong suite, jump off cliffs into big lakes; she was stuck up, up tight and prissy young lady. Usually for a guy like, he wouldn’t even be able to look at a gal like her, hell if he hadn’t seen her when he did, but a couple moments down. He would had to shot her then fiancé in their wedding just to claim her for himself, for a crazy obsess and possessive man like himself that very thinking is his root to all his insomnia and paranoia. She on the other hand grew up in different circumstances than him. She was the middle daughter of two sisters, parent by a housewife and the pastor. The societal standards and norms were forced upon her from a very young age. She was homeschooled, never had a curfew because she wasn’t allowed out, was only allowed friends of her parents choosing (they were only chose by the highest status and closest relationship to the church), if being a housewife wasn’t her parents first choice she would have been attended a community college for medicine or a trade school.Very isolated and restricted home life. She would not have liked him for first time meeting. He was everything her mother told her not to want and look for in a man.He was a dirty, vulgar, gambling, drinking, poor, perverted man. But as he shoved down everything about him down her throat, she eventually come to love him.So obviously they wouldn’t get along at first. He wanted to break her, to be like “haha a prissy girl like you have to be stuck under man a like me 😜”,she even tho obviously wanted to be anywhere else besides near him, she still performed her housewife duties diligently which he liked. When she has a her very big O caused by him,her whole world tips over. She would feel like a common dirty whore. And to crush her, he would degrade her as he’s doing it. whispering raspy degradation as she comes down from her high. It was hard to hate him when he use to her eat her out like his life depended on it. Would embarrass her by refusing her a shower first after a long day of working at home, by his word “would stripe away the flavor”.There’s more, but hoped you liked :DDD
Awwww thank you!!!! Sometimes I rush through cause I don't have a lotta time to be online so I feel bad leaving you hanging or giving you less than what you gave me. Also, you have the best ideas and thoughts that sometimes I sit there and have no idea what to write because what you did was perfect and just so good!! I get so excited when I see you too and I reread them like 5 times.
How can you do this to me autumn!!!! Now I'm horny for another feral country boy. I blame you wholeheartedly. Man, I thought Joseph was the love of my life but now you bring Clement into this??? Have you no mercy?? I legit nearly fainted reading about this man.
Hehe, I have a bit of a thing for men in uniform, can you imagine Leroy in uniform??? I think he would still have his fatigues somewhere stashed away and probably would bring them out to role-play with Bunny (Once again I am projecting).
But Clement and his wife!!!!! AHHHHH
I can see her family waiting for the best suitor to come around if anything they were hoping for the sheriff's boy. But would have prefered it if another preacher come to town.
I think it would be cool if it was the first he's been to town since he got out of the military. Maybe he wasn't from that town originally and just picked it cause they needed a hunter or something like that. And he's driving through town when he sees the prettiest girl he's ever seen. He practically slams on the brakes and puts the car in reverse to follow her from a distance. He then banged on the door and asked to speak to her father. From there he states his claim. Although it didn't help that he didn't know her name and took like 5 minutes for her father to figure out which daughter he was talking about. And yes!!!! Her parents wanted to say no but no one else came forward and they couldn't let her become an old maid so they have to say yes I loved that he was just scarring/picking off all the other men who were trying to get her hand. and yeah the town is so concerned with the missing men that no one cares the preacher's daughter is marrying a veteran who lives in the middle of the woods that no one knew two weeks ago.
She is kinda mad but she was raised to be a good wife so there's not much she can do. She was expecting to be a sheriff's or a preacher's wife so she was taught to act elegantly and with grace. However, she is watching with thinly veiled disgust at her new husband's wild ways. She doesn't swear, take the lord's name in vain, lie or boast, she is a good preacher's daughter and she will make an even better wife.
"A man who use to wrestle his brothers in the mud, in midnight sneak onto the fields of farms and flip over cows, race his father’s beat up truck on dirt roads, come home in the pinch of night covered in dry dirt head to toe, lost his virginity in a barn on some haystacks, never taught proper manners, his Sunday best (if he actually went to church) was a regular white shirt with dirt covered jeans and his failed attempt to slick back his hair, went skinny dipping, went to house parties held in the woods, use to work in a pork processing factory, was never given a curfew, education and learning wasn’t his strong suite, jump off cliffs into big lakes" ------ This is an amazing description! I love that I instantly know who he is and I love it!
He would think she was such a frigid bitch, he loves her don't get me wrong, he's obsessed with her, but almost to the point where he hates that he does. She represents everything he never got, all the meals his mama had to skip, all the clothes his papa couldn't afford to repair, and all the years being squished under the fancy people's boots. She might not be rich but her family never had to starve and a part of him resents that he loves a woman like her. So different to him. People would turn their noses at him if he had ever dreamed of marrying a woman like her, let alone touching her. I love the idea that if he had missed that initial first look, he would have had to forcibly take her, shoot her soon-to-be husband and just run away with her. If you like country/folk music you should listen to charlie boy by benjamin Dakota rogers, as soon as I read that, the song came to me, it is literally that storyline, also john came home, and I was planning on writing a fic around it.
The sad thing about this reader is she is used to being oppressed so what is marriage if it not for the same thing. It would be a bit sad, and since I love happy endings, I think it would be so cute if clem could see she dreamed of being a nurse when she was a kid so he enrols her in an all-women's nursing school. She would be so happy! Every day clem takes her to school on his way to work and picks her up on the way back. He would let her study anatomy on him, and he was more than happy to help with reproduction study ;) But I see this only happening after maybe a year or so when they both have opened up their hearts to each other.
The start though is her being disgusted with him and trying to hide that, but he makes it hard to hide it when he sculls a beer and then another one during the wedding dinner. He pinches her bottom and slaps it in front of his friends. He whispers in her ear that she is going to have open her legs for a poor, filthy labourer like him and that it is her job as a wife to pleasure him no matter how he wants it. You are so right! I think he would be mean, calling her filthy things in bed to get a rise out of her (but I think she would like it, unlike Alwyn's reader, this one never wanted a sheltered life, she wanted to rebel from her parents, rebel from being a perfect woman, so him calling her these things allows her to rebel in a way, to destroy the perfect life her parents had planned).
Please tell me more !!! I loved it!!!!
Lots of love mae xx

7, habits; 1, personal life; 1, motivation for Tantalus? (@commanderhorncleaver)
Habits 7 - What sort of clothes do you wear? Would you make changes to your wardrobe if you could?
"When I'm out an about, I'm always in my leather armour and thick coat, prefer not having my scars on show. At least not the back ones, can't help much with the ones on my face. My hat helps somewhat with that at least, keeps my real identity from the Legions too."
"Though I do have a casual outfit I wear when going to locations I know are on the down low. Nothing fancy."
Tumblr media
Personal life 1 - Who are your parents? Do you have any siblings? Are they still alive?
The charr snarls viciously. "You just had to get me started on those. My dam was Unglot Fearripper, Blood Legion, she died when I was still in fahrar. My sire... Clement Forktail. Left Iron for Flame before I was even in fahrar."
The bared fangs on his face shows this is something harsh in his life. "Bastard came crawling back, and that damn Tribune Brimstone chose my brother Marcus Furyclash over me for the job. He got our sire pardoned! He got fucking promoted to centurion! And they're both still alive, Marcus is even thriving as a damned celebrated hero with all the freedom of the world and I got left in his shadow, trapped in the Legion machine!" He huffs frustratedly. "Damn him all the way to hell, and the Legions too..."
Motivation 1 - Is your cause noble? Do you care?
"I don't care if it's noble, I just want everyone who ever wronged me to suffer for it. And that encompasses the entire Legions themselves. I did not deserve to go through what I did, I was just as loyal as Marcus was, and got shit all!" A growl rumbles from the Deadeye's throat. "Noble doesn't matter, the Legions ain't noble, never have been. I'll see 'em dragged down one soldier at a time..."

The Demon Slayer Timeline Part. 02
[Again Lots of Spoilers for obvious reasons]    Now we know that Urokodaki was active at the Edo Period [c. 1603-1868]. That does not say much since that is a 200-year era but let us resume that.
Tumblr media
Japan would enter isolation, meaning there was no contact with the outside forces (well almost none) and people were forbidden to leave or enter the country- the famous Sakoku. The Shogunate would also start the bakuhan, meaning the tight control of the land.  The shogun would be switching the number of domains like they were pieces of a Go game. He also created a new code that commanded all the samurai, where he would tell the samurai to live frugally, wear appropriate clothing, continue they military training and not go crazy with entertainment (poor thing did not now that the last one did not serve for much). Lords would need the Shogun approval to marry. The "great barbarian-suppressing supreme general" (and if you read danmeis would think that those titles were an exaggeration) would keep Japan safe from the foreign, and the best way, was by isolating it.    With Japan locked into himself, and the government controlling everything and everyone, there were no more wars, and the samurai class turned into a warrior class just in name, staring to have his status as a hereditary one. They turned into clerks, night watchers, security guards, but extremely overdressed ones. On the other hand, we going to observe the rise of merchants and artisans. Even tho the samurai class still looked with bad eyes to these classes, they would be the ones that would create the new culture that the samurai would consume (and spoiler alert, they would become come rich than then).    Kabuki theatre would be born, shinju dramas (suicide dramas of course they would), the red-light districts were courtesans and actors would be the ones dictating fashions, mass publishing of books and art printing with the ukiyo-e, the shunga (erotic painting). All of this was a culture that was born during the times were Japan as closed over himself but still had its dramas that where sweep under the rug by the government.
Now just like with the Edo we must do a really quick rundown about the Meiji Era to understand the Taisho one. The Meiji Era [1868-1912] was the things that the Japanese knew started to change. After almost two centuries of peace, the Americans decided to knock on Japanese borders, and then them to open them with two options: yes or yes. Commodore Matthew Perry dropped anchor on July 1853. The Dutch that lived on Daneshima, the artificial island in Nagasaki warned the Shogun that the Americans would be returning some Japanese runways and look for some goods. The Shogun did not care. Perry was sent was sent way. Perry returned in February 1854 with even more less friendly terms -  they would start fire if they did not open the borders. He was then guaranteed the “Treaty of Kanagawa”.    “But all was no well. There was no way to put a healthy spin on the Shogun’s surrender to these terms. He failed his duties. There were already bellicose samurai domains who thought they could do a better job” Clements,2018. War started in January 1868 were rebels seized the imperial palace in Kyoto proclaiming that the power of the Meiji Emperor “has been restored”. More battles broke out after that, but surprisingly without much violence (amazing I know). “Modernization was now the keyword, starting with the moving of the capital from Kyoto to Edo, the city that had been the de facto center from 200 years; The emperor’s new home, where he took up residence in the departed shogun’s castle, was soon given a new name: the East capital, Tokyo” – Clements,2018. Most of the old daimyos were rebranded with a new set of European-like noble titles creating the “kazoku” or “glorious houses”.    The samurai, even if they fought for the restoration or against it, received a payment cut of 50%, and in 1871 they were freed from using their swords. They could chose wearing their swords or not as it was a matter of fashion. But in 1876 this preference turned to a ban. They were forbidden to wear swords, every-piece of the samurai status was being destroyed.    Once again, the keyword of the Meiji period was modernization but in a specific kind: westernization. Only learning the western way could the Japanese beat them. So, we going to see this quick change in which Japan leaves it's Edo characteristics to become like their European counterparts. Which would also mean that they would learn the not so good stuff. Yes I'm talking about imperialism. It will start with the Ainu and Ryukyu kingdoms to then turn to the continental lands. I will not go into detail into the various (VARIOUS) wars during this time, but the rising sun symbology, that is present on Tanjiro's earrings was not a good thing for non-Japanese. While in Tanjiro's case the earing might symbolise, the sun breathing and Amaterasu, during this time it was the flag of Japanese imperialism.
Tumblr media
Now back go Tanjiro’s Timeline aka Taisho Era [1912-1926]. Ah the Taisho era, the less problematic of the three Imperial eras. [ Spoiler alert: It is still problematic, but we are not here to talk about Japanese imperialism]. After fighting in World War I (in the good side for once) the West is going to evaluate Japan (and they ask why Japan acted the way it did). They realize that it is a well-developed country, but the government had its issues, mainly because new ideas and sects were being born so the Taisho emperor had to find a solution that is reflected in the election of various political parties for the government, that did not go so much as planed.    In 1921 Japan wanted to prove that it was not an aggressive country [AHAHAHAHAHAHA] and will agree with Washington that would maintain the Status Quo of the empire. There was this reduction of the military that would only end up with the older generation teaching the newer generation bigger hate speeches. But the Taisho emperor would die 5 years later, and his son Hirohito was not having all of his dad's bullshit. So, he will again give power to the military and that would start the Manchuria incident at 1931 what would be the beginning of a snowfall of incidents that would culminate in 1945. (So yes it is possible that the trio lived through the WW2).    Now at least we now that all of our favorite character had a chance to be reborn in our timeline, so it all goes well in the end, right?

What does it mean to take a stand against illustration? And more importantly, what does it mean to call oneself an abstract artist who nevertheless has a subject? The claim that abstract art constructs a visual/auditory/verbal “equivalent” for experience is a claim that has been voiced since the late nineteenth century. Pollock, as we have seen, also thought in terms of the “equivalent.” But he knew that for some people there was an internal contradiction between the idea of abstraction and the idea of subject. In 1950, speaking for publication in The New Yorker, he chose the term that would leave the least doubt about where he stood at the level of a simple either/or. “I decided to stop adding to the confusion,” he said, referring to the numerical titles he was now giving his work. “Abstract painting is abstract. I confronts you.”
But the problem, of course, is that the either/or is a misrepresentation of what an abstract painter is up to. His greatest fear is that he may be making mere abstraction, abstraction uninformed by a subject, contentless abstraction, for which the term — wholly pejorative for everyone from Kandinsky and Mondrian to Pollock and Newman — is decoration.
Pollock’s painting was a frequent target for the accusation that what he was doing was nothing but decoration — so much so that in reviewing Pollock’s 1948 exhibition Clement Greenberg made the acerbic aside, “I already hear: ‘wallpaper patterns,’” before going in to analyze and defend the work. And this general accusation, in its utter failure to grasp Pollock’s subject, or even to see that his work had a subject, is reported as having been extremely upsetting to the artist.
The reason that Newman’s “most people” have to reduce the pair abstraction/subject to an either/or is because most people think that the work of art is a picture and that its subject is what it is a picture of. What’s in the work is what the work pictures. The dog, or landscape, or a black square, is the work’s referent. It is what the work is about. Thus a work in which nothing is pictured cannot be a work that is about something. Nor, by the same token, can there be a serious work that is about nothing.
But the twentieth century’s first wave of pure abstraction was based on the goal, taken most seriously indeed, to make a work about Nothing. The uppercase n in Nothing is the marker of this absolute seriousness. If anything ever drove Mondrian and Malevich, it was Hegelianism and the notion that the vocation of art was defined by its special place in the progress of Spirit. The ambition finally to succeed at painting nothing is fired by the dream of being able to paint Nothing, which is to say, all Being once it has been stripped of every quality that would materialize or limit it in anyway. So purified, this Being is identical with Nothing. It is onto this experience of identity that Hegel’s dialectic opens. To wish to paint the operations of the dialectic is no small ambition. One very page of his writing Mondrian invokes Hegel. His dicta about “dynamic equilibrium” translate into the grand condition of his subject, another term for Becoming. There is no way into this art without grasping the full degree of abstraction of Hegel’s logic.

The best of Worth
By Ronald Bryden
The Observer, 12 November 1967
Tumblr media
There are two reasons why you should not miss John Clements's production of Heartbreak House at the Lyric. One, as I suggested when it opened at Chichester last July, is that it gives an almost adequate account of the greatest, most difficult English play of this century. The other is its Mrs Hushabye, the performance of Irene Worth's life. Miss Worth has always been something of a problem actress. There's never been much question that she's our finest, most formidably equipped, in the underpopulated generation between Peggy Ashcroft and Dorothy Tutin. Rather, the doubt has been about some of the directions her talent's taken. When all that larger-than-life power and intelligence go off course, as in Schiller's 'Mary Stuart' or 'The Queen and the Rebels,' it's like watching some vast liner grind full length over a quayside of fishermen's cottages.
Myself, I've always suspected that her real skill is comic, or, at any rate, needs comedy as a handrail to guide and contain it. Possibly this has to do with first encountering her in a Guthrie 'Midsummer Night's Dream' at the Old Vic, as the loveliest, most poignantly funny Helena I ever hope to see. But it was borne out, I thought, by the superbly balanced pathos and irony of her German wife in 'A Song at Twilight' last year, and certainly she surpasses herself in Shaw's great cartoon Madonna of the chaise-longue.
The part's a sketch for Lilith in 'Back to Methuselah': Great Mother and serpent, coiled lazily round the roots of the Tree of Life, guarding with beguiling tongue Man's path to the knowledge of good and evil, the golden apples of art. Miss Worth starts from a curved art nouveau line of the body, drooping her neck like a swan, rearing in her blue-green Morris gown like a cobra. She lolls, she twines, she insinuates in innocent ears, smiling with a fatalistic, pitying tenderness which is never far from twisting into a jeer. Amusement flickers into pain, pain into amusement, until all sport seems cruelty and cruelty a sport. That's the keynote of the play, and she sustains it for the rest of the cast all evening, weaving around the action in which she's not herself involved, a gleaming net of watchful mirth and despair. It could be excessive. In fact, it's as perfectly calculated as the light, teasing stress with which she calls her philandering husband 'Dear child.' She has not taken over the play: she knows her place in its structure exactly.
At the close with the Zeppelins thundering overhead, John Clements's Shotover stands dominating the ship-shaped stage like a pilot at the wheel. She advances on to the stage's apron, jutting into the orchestra, eyes upward, breast forward, a living composite of all the mermaids, witches and noble dames the clipper-builders chose for figureheads. No one has expressed Shaw's image of the Eternal Feminine more exactly.

Week 4 - 2X Portrait Photographers (More photographers in Week 5)
Caroline Mackintosh
Tumblr media
Sourced: https://carolinemackintosh.com/container-of-love-magazine-tangible-love?i=6
Though not technically a single-person shot, I still really like a shot and wanted to include it as inspiration. I like the way she incorporates nature into the shot. The way she plays with golden hour lighting and the cool shadows this creates via the grass. It creates an interesting dynamic range and a beautiful golden glow. I also really like the framing of how she has used the subjects to create symmetry and framed them using the negative space of the grass. I really want to play around with the dappling of grass/plants onto skin as it is a fun way to play with light without outsourcing and instead working with what you have.

I chose this shot because I want to try out a more relaxed, chic, professional mood. I like the way the photographer has positioned the subject centre framed on a slight slant to give him a relaxed, chill, but slick vibe. I like the shot choice as it allows distance from the viewer, and the angle gives the subject a slight arrogance, like he's literally and figuratively above us. I like how mundane the backdrop is, so it doesn't take away from the subject and also adds further backlighting. The lighting is very even, with slight shadows on his cheekbones (unless that's makeup?)

So Many Choices!
"You say, 'I am allowed to do anything' – but not everything is good for you. You say, 'I am allowed to do anything' – but not everything is beneficial."1
I have read that some sources suggest that the average person makes an astonishing 35,000 choices per day. If a person sleeps roughly 7 hours per day, that means that we are making approximately 2,000 decisions per hour! I am not sure how this research has been done, or how accurate it really is, but more than likely you won't remember making all those decisions. Simple choices like taking a sip of coffee, reading or ignoring a phone notification, crossing your legs, scratching your ear, or repositioning ourselves, are choices that may go unnoticed, but they all add up. Regardless of exactly how many decisions we actually make in a day, we cannot deny the fact that we are constantly faced with choices from the moment we crawl out of bed each morning. Even simple choices can have big consequences. If you have ever chosen the wrong pair of shoes to wear for an all-day outing, it is likely that you will suffer from sore feet and possible blisters that night!
As John C. Maxwell said, "Life is a matter of choices, and every choice you make makes you." We can choose who we want to be. Our past cannot dictate our future, because when we come to Christ, all things are new! God's grace is new every day, so if we didn't make great choices yesterday, we have the choice to make it right today. Ask for forgiveness, focus on the good in others, make time for fun, be kind, play that game with your children, stop worrying, trust God. Cherish the blessings God is giving you in each moment, and don't forget the most important choice of all… choosing to let Jesus be Lord and Savior of your life. This decision will determine where you spend eternity, so choose wisely. He chose to give His all for us but will not force us to choose Him. He desires our love, but this is our choice. Like today's verse says, we are allowed to do anything, but let us seek God's will and ask Him to help us make decisions that are good and beneficial for us, for this life and eternity.
Suggested prayer: Dear God, thank you that I do not have to face life alone because you are always with me. Please give me wisdom to make good choices that will be beneficial for me and those around me. Help me choose to be like you every day, and when I stumble, help me get up and keep moving forward in your grace. Thank you for giving us the freedom to make choices. 35 Creator (فاطر Fāṭir) Meccan
XLV If God (Allah) punished people as they deserved, that would not leave a single living creature in its wake; however, God (Allah) lets them stay for a certain term, Then when their term is up, it turns out God (Allah) has been watching all creatures.
XLIV Haven’t they traveled on earth and seen how those before them ended up, even though they had been more powerful than they are? God (Allah) is not to be thwarted by anything in the heavens or on earth, for God (Allah) is omniscient, all-powerful.
XLIII in terms of arrogance on earth and conniving of evil. But the conniving of evil will encompass no one but its own partisans. Do they regard anything but the way of the ancients? But you will find no changing of the way of God (Allah), and you will find no diverting of the way of God (Allah).
XLII Though they swore by God (Allah) their most binding oaths that if a warner came to them they would be better guided than any of the peoples, yet when a warner came to them, that only increased their irresponsibility,
XLI God (Allah) holds up the skies and the earth lest they fail; and if they should fail, no one else will hold them up: God (Allah) is indeed most clement, most forgiving.
XL Say, “Have you seen your idols, to which you pray instead of God (Allah)? Show me what they have created on earth; or do they have partnership in the heavens?” Or have We given them a scripture, and they are based on evidence from that? No— the mistaken only promise each other illusion.
XXXIX God is the one who made you deputies on earth; so whoever scoffs is responsible for his own ingratitude; and the ingratitude of the scoffers only makes them more odious to their Lord; and the ingratitude of the scoffers only increases their loss.
XXXVIII God (Allah) is the one who knows the secret of the heavens and the earth, thoroughly knowing what is in hearts.
XXXVII And they will beg for help in there: “Our Lord, release us, and we will do right, not what we used to do.” But didn’t We grant you long enough life for those who were receptive to take a lesson, especially since a warner came to you? So suffer, for there is no savior for those who do wrong.
XXXVI As for those who scoffed, they will have the fire of hell, without it ever being decreed that they should pass away, and without its agony ever being lightened for them. Thus do We repay every ingrate.
XXXV “the One who has permitted us the abode of the resurrection, out of divine grace, where hardship will not touch us and weariness will not afflict us.”
XXXIV And they will say, “Praise God (Allah), who has caused sorrow to leave us; for our Lord is indeed most forgiving, most appreciative,
XXXIII There are gardens of eternity they will enter, wearing there bracelets of gold and pearls, their clothes therein of silk:
XXXII We bequeathed scripture to those of Our servants We chose; but some of them oppress their own souls, while some of them are moderate, and some of them are in the forefront in good deeds, by God’s (Allah’s) leave; that is the great blessing.
XXXI And what We have revealed to you by inspiration from the Book is the truth, verifying what preceded it; for God (Allah) knows and sees everyone.
XXX as God (Allah) will pay them their due and more, from the bounty divine, for God (Allah) is most forgiving, most appreciative.
XXIX As for those who recite the Book of God (Allah) and celebrate prayer and give of what We have provided them, secretly and openly, they intend an exchange that will not be fruitless,
XXVIII And so among humans, and creatures that crawl, and animals— they differ in their colors, in the same way. The ones among God’s (Allah’s) servants who are in awe of God (Allah) are the knowledgeable; for God (Allah) is almighty, forgiving.
XXVII Haven’t you seen that God (Allah) sends rain from the sky? We then produce thereby fruits of various colors. And in the mountains are streaks of white and red, varying in their hue, and deepest black.
XXVI then I took the scoffers to task, and how intense was My disapproval!
XXV So even if they call you a liar, those who were before them also repudiated the messengers who came to them with proofs, with the Psalms, and with the enlightening scripture;
XXIV  for We sent you with truth, as a herald and a warner. And there was never a people among whom a warner never passed.
XXIII You are only a warner;
XXII And the living and the dead are not the same: God (Allah) may cause anyone to hear, at will, but you cannot cause those in the tombs to hear.
XXI nor are the cool and the heat.
XX nor are the darknesses and the light,
XIX  The blind and the seeing are not equal,
XVIII No one can bear the burden of another; even if one weighed down calls for help with his burden, nothing will be lifted from him, even be he a close relative. You can only warn those who inwardly fear their Lord and regularly pray. Yet whoever purifies himself purifies himself for his own soul alone; and the destination is to God (Allah).
XVII and that would not be hard for God (Allah).
XVI If God (Allah) willed, God (Allah) would get rid of you and produce a new creation;
XV O humanity, you are in need of God (Allah), but God (Allah) is independent of needs, worthy of all praise.
XIV  When you pray to them, they don’t hear your prayer, and even if they heard, they would not answer you. And on the day of resurrection they will refuse your idolization. And no one can tell you like one who is well informed.
XIII God (Allah) makes the night enter the day, and makes the day enter the night; and has subjected the sun and the moon, each running for a definite term. That is God (Allah) for you, your Lord, to whom the dominion belongs; and those others to whom you pray instead haven’t the slightest power.
XII  Even the two bodies of water are not the same: one is fresh, sweet, and palatable, while the other is salty and bitter. Yet you eat fresh flesh from both, and you extract ornaments that you wear; and you see the ships thereon ploughing the waves so you may seek of God’s (Allah’s) bounty, and so that you may be grateful.
XI God (Allah) made you from dust, then from a drop, then made you in pairs. No female conceives or delivers except with God’s (Allah’s) knowledge. And no one whose life is prolonged is granted long life, or has his life shortened but is in a Writ; and that is easy for God (Allah).
X If anyone wants power, well, all power belongs to God (Allah), to whom ascends the good word, and who exalts the act of integrity. As for those who connive evil, there is a severe punishment for them, and their conniving is in vain.
IX God (Allah) is the one who sends the winds that raise the clouds: then We drive them to a land that is dead, and revive the earth thereby after its death. That is how the resurrection will be.
VIII But is it so for the one whose evil conduct is made to seem good to him? God (Allah) leaves astray anyone at will, and guides anyone at ill; so don’t let your soul go sighing over them— for God (Allah) knows whatever they do.
VII For those who scoffed there is intense agony, while for those who believed and did good works there is forgiveness and tremendous reward.
VI  For Satan is an enemy to you, so regard him as an enemy, who only calls to his partisans, to become inmates of the inferno.
V O humanity, the promise of God (Allah) is true, so don’t let the life of the world deceive you, and don’t let illusion deceive you about God (Allah).
IV Even if they call you a liar, so have messengers been called liars before you; but all affairs are referred to God (Allah).
IV Even if they call you a liar, so have messengers been called liars before you; but all affairs are referred to God (Allah).
III O humanity, remember God’s (Allah’s) blessings on you. Is there a creator other than God (Allah) who provides for you from the sky or the earth? There is no other deity; so how is it you’re deceived?
II Whatever God (Allah) grants people out of mercy, none can withhold; and whatever God (Allah) withholds, no one else can deliver, for God (Allah) is the almighty, the epitome of wisdom.
I All praise is due God (Allah), creator of the heavens and the earth, who made the angels messengers with wings, double, triple, and quadruple. Adding to creation at will, God (Allah) has power over all things.
0 In the name of God(Allah), the Benevolent, the Merciful

Regrading Taskmaster: S04E04 Friendship is truth.
*Score changes noted in parenthesis.
Prize Task: Most Surprising Picture of Yourself
We start off with Joe pressing his back fat through a hammock. Hilarious photo, but I'm not all that surprised that he lays in hammocks shirtless and had a photo taken of it when noticed. Hugh's most surprising picture is a mask of his own face. I think the "surprise" in this instance is that it's surprising Hugh would be the person wearing his own mask . . . but does that make the picture itself surprising?
Mel had herself photoshopped into Monet's Le Déjeuner sur l'herbe. Using photoshop for prize tasks are both unimaginative and unsurprising. Noel had a photo of himself dressed as The Virgin Mary cradling Julian Barratt as the baby Jesus from The Mighty Boosh. Once again, not all that surprising, but at least he didn't make the photo specifically to bring into the prize task.
Oh. My. God. Lolly. This is an easy win because Lolly brings a picture of her, in whiteface, dressed as Princess Diana. Her explanation is that it's "a political statement about when people black-up in movies." Both that this photo exists and the person she chose are completely surprising. The rest are close, but I think it goes Joe > Noel > Hugh > Mel. Reasoning is that life photos are better than production photos and Hugh's mask is bad, but it beats photoshop.
Tumblr media
Hugh: 2 (+1) Joe: 4 (0) Lolly: 5 (0) Mel: 1 (-2) Noel: 3 (+1)
VT 01: Make the highest splash.
Some interpretation to be done here. "Highest" can mean either in relation to the ground or the splash's beginning point. I think Alex is measuring in relation to the ground, but I legitimately cannot figure out how Noel's was higher than Mel's if that is the case. I think I'll just have to take his word for it. This way I don't have to decide whether I base their predictions off of Greg's winner or my own.
Tumblr media
Hugh: 2 Joe: 3 Lolly: 1 Mel: 4 Noel: 5
VT 02: Choreograph a dance for you and Alex to perform to a ringtone.
So it's the most stylish dance that wins. Despite Mel getting the ringtone wrong, I cannot deny the stylishness of her dance. Sencha is absolutely the wrong ringtone to pick for this task and Noel tries to capture the "cheekiness" with a "shrew-move." I don't know why he thinks a shrew is a stylish animal.
Joe and Lolly pick the same ringtone and both have some flaws. Alex intentionally? unintentionally? hits Lolly in the face during pattycake. Either way not stylish, but there is a lot of style in the way she brings it home. Joe has he and Alex wear sunglasses, which is stylish. He chooses a stylish position, but he doesn't have much of a routine outside of hopping.
Hugh goes for the most ambitious routine and absolutely does not execute it. I don't believe in ties on subjective tasks and I thought the end of Lolly's dance was quite stylish, so we're dropping Noel down.
Tumblr media
Hugh: 1 (0) Joe: 2 (0) Lolly: 4 (+1) Mel: 5 (0) Noel: 3 (-2)
VT 03: Create a portrait of a celebrity using loo roll.
I really hate contestants putting words on their pictures to make them identifiable and that's what Lolly and Joe do. Harry Potter is a celebrity in fiction and Daniel Radcliffe is a celebrity in real life, so Lolly's subject matter is fine. Even absent "Accio" I would have recognized it and it's a decent portrait.
Surprisingly . . . I haven't seen EastEnders, so I'm not familiar with Pam St Clement. Joe does a decent enough job, but there's no way Greg would have guessed it if he hadn't written her name.
Hugh's picture of Queen Elizabeth II is recognizable (I don't know how Greg got it wrong). Honestly, great effort by him in my personal opinion. Noel does a self portrait. I did guess it was him first, but it definitely gave me John Lennon vibes. This is by far Noel's worst art task so far.
Mel did a terrible portrait of Barry Gibb. So terrible, she forgot who she did and thought it was Kris Kristofferson. It's a lot closer to Gibb, but still an easy last place.
I really don't know how Greg gave Noel five here. Hugh's is easily the best and I'd probably put Joe's and Lolly's ahead of his as well if they hadn't used words.
Tumblr media
Hugh: 5 (+2) Joe: 3 (-1) Lolly: 2 (0) Mel: 1 (-1) Noel: 4 (-1)
VT 04: Do the most incredible thing with this pommel horse.
Hugh summersaults over the pommel horse eight times on camera (Alex said he did eleven total). Lolly sort of summersaults twice near it, rides it for a second, then crawls under it. I find Hugh's effort to be pretty impressive . . . Lolly seems like an easy one point because she doesn't really use the pommel horse.
Joe kind of loses his mind. It seems like he's trying to turn it into a real horse . . . by putting his shoes on it? He then puts a walker next to it and tells a story about an elderly man that used to ride it and is now dead. Very strange.
Mel makes it disappear. It's clearly an editing trick, but it's pretty well done. Noel also uses editing, this time to turn the pommel horse into Alex. It's more blatant, but still better than any clearly poor efforts (plus you can't grade too much lower than Mel's, because they both kind of did the same thing).
Tumblr media
Hugh: 5 (0) Joe: 2 (-1) Lolly: 1 (0) Mel: 4 (-1) Noel: 3 (0)
Live Task: Make the highest tower using these tubes.
Noel and Joe are both holding their towers after the whistle, but Alex doesn't tell them to stop. I also noticed Noel trying to add a third tube while the others are being graded, but he isn't successful. Alex seems to have a decent handle on it, so no score changes.
Tumblr media
Hugh: 5 Joe: 3 Lolly: 3 Mel: 5 Noel: 3
Final:
So Noel steals one off of Mel. Reasoning here is because despite Greg saying that he wasn't surprised that she photoshopped herself into a Monet painting, he still gave her some points. Noel was close enough that any drop in points would have forced a tie.
Tumblr media
Hugh: 20 (+3) Joe: 17 (-2) Lolly: 16 (+1) Mel: 20 (-4) Noel: 21 (-2)

You are Important
"The Lord gave me this message: "I knew you before I formed you in your mother's womb. Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as my prophet to the nations."1
In the first chapter of Jeremiah, we read the calling of Jeremiah. This is one of those passages that I love reading over and over. Many may believe that this passage applied only to Jeremiah, but we know that the Bible is God's Word to all of us, His people. Therefore, this passage applies as much to you and me as it did to Jeremiah. We may not all be called to be a prophet, but God formed us and has chosen us for an important task.
There are three things that stand out to me in today's passage, and that I believe God is reminding us of. I knew you . God knew everything about us even before we were born. God knows us better than we know ourselves! Psalm 139:16 says, "Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be."
I set you apart . God has chosen us for a purpose. We are special to him. Deuteronomy 14:2 says, "You have been set apart as holy to the LORD your God, and he has chosen you from all the nations of the earth to be his own special treasure."
I appointed you . God has called us and sends us out as his children to the world to be a testimony. John 15:16 says, "You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you." There may be times when we lose sight of our purpose or feel discouraged because we feel we do not have the needed qualities for our situation. However, just as God prepared Jeremiah for the time he was living, God has also prepared you and me for the times we are living. He has been preparing us since before we were born, and we can be confident that He is with us always.
Each of us is unique. God never made another person like you and he never will. There is no one that possesses the same gifts as you and no one can do the things you do like you do. God is our strength and we can trust that we can do all things through Him. Even in moments of discouragement, let us remember that God has chosen us to do great things. He knows everything about us, and still chose us to be his children. When we choose to see ourselves as God sees us, we will begin reaching our potential and be used by God in a big way. Just as God told Jeremiah, he is also telling us "Get up and prepare for action!"2
Suggested prayer: Dear God, what a great privilege to be fully known and fully loved by you. Thank you for choosing me to be your child and making me unique. Help me to believe that I can do great things, not because of what I have done, but because of what you have done and can do through me. Thank you for being with me always and preparing me for such a time as this. I am ready to be used by you. Thank you for hearing and answering my prayer. In Jesus' name, amen.
Jeremiah 1:4-5 (NLT ).
Jeremiah 1:17 (NLT).

7 Classy Ski Experiences That Are Uniquely Utah!
We say Utah is a unique ski vacation that offers more time in the mountains. No other destination in the United States provides many resorts near international airports and bustling cities.
There was a time when Utah was a wild and sparsely populated part of the American west. Adventurers still have easy access to large areas that are pristine and rugged, while Utah also offers sleek and luxurious amenities. Read on if you dream of Park City Activities amidst contemporary elegance with impeccable slopes winding through easily accessible mountains.
From the airport to the mountains in less than an hour
For those flying, it all starts at Salt Lake City International Airport. (The lucky few chose Provo Airport for the fastest access to Sundance. From SLC International, Wasatch Front is yours—and Utah has ten resorts less than an hour from the airport. Accessibility alone makes Park City Activities something extraordinary. So grab your bag, pluck the U-shaped travel pillow from your neck, and get ready for more time in the mountains.
Relax at the only ski distillery in the world
Yes, in Utah. Head straight to High West Distillery & Saloon for a small batch of local whiskey paired with the saloon's Western menu, then return for a glass of Park City. It turns out that Utah has a long distillation history. High West Distillery & Saloon is listed on the National Register of Historic Places as the first official distillery in the state since 1870 and perhaps the only place in the world where you can get some decent old-fashioned stuff while it's still in your Park City Activities.
Drive on the orange hot ball
In Park City Activities, on the side of Canyons Village, you can feel very pampered on a ride on North America's first heated chairlift. The seats provide enough heat to keep you warm - on windy days; you can remove the orange Plexiglas glass windshield to protect your sensitive face from temperature and wind. However, this feature is not just for convenience. Once fully enclosed in your bubble, you're incredibly aerodynamic - meaning the Orange Bubble Express can go faster than most outdoor chairs, releasing you and getting you back on the powder quicker.
Feel the heaviest snow on earth
Hmm. It's true; the snow is so light and fluffy in Park City Activities that you can clean the pavement with a leaf blower. However, in the mountains, particularly in the Cottonwood Canyons in Salt Lake City, something extraordinary happens when this perfect layer of snow accumulates. This is called "flotation". Trust us - this is no ordinary snow: it's the thing you've always wanted. This is probably the only place you can get proper old-fashioned clothes while still wearing your ski boots."
Tumblr media
It’s probably the only place on Earth where you can get a decent Old Fashioned while still wearing your ski boots."
Visit one of America's tallest resorts
Spanning two peaks and about 650 acres of terrain, it may sound small compared to northern Utah's ski resorts, but at 9,600 feet, Brian Head is well above sea level and then some. And even at 11,307′, it's still one of Utah's top-secret powder hideouts. This place has everything you could want in a Utah resort and absolutely nothing you don't need. The same dry Utah Pow and friendly faces combined with a laid-back ski town and comfortable resort accommodation.
Award-winning kitchen in between ski days
High Star Ranch features a lively show kitchen, dramatic log fireplace and views of the ski slopes. Don't miss the Sunday brunch at High Star Ranch. As the only winner of the 2013 Santé Restaurant Award in Utah, guests can dine over roasted lamb shanks and braised Wagyu short ribs, paired with fine wines and framed by views of the surrounding Deer Valley Resort. And as you stroll down Park City's Main Street, Talisker on Main offers delicious American cuisine with a menu that changes seasonally and allows Chef Clement Gellas to create local produce like Willis Farm lamb, heirloom cherry tomatoes and mushrooms.
Are you looking for something romantic? Log Haven has long been recognized as the most romantic Park City Activities destination in Utah. Located in Millcreek Canyon in a historic log cabin, guests are treated to phenomenal New American cuisine such as bacon-wrapped venison steak and smoked goose pappardelle, an impressive wine list with over 200 bottles, intimate waterfall views and the beauty of high mountains.
See how three generations of one family carved out an entire mountain just for you
The Seeholzer family has operated Beaver Mountain since its founding in 1939. Considered America's longest-running family ski destination, this is the only place where you can see three generations of Seeholzers working hard to make your winter dreams come true.
Here you can see the lack of company ownership. Lift tickets are only $48 per day, and you can treat the family to kid-friendly burgers at the restaurant. This isn't the place for an aioli and arugula burger, but the resort exudes charm and invites you to take some time to relax.
Add excellent night skiing, and Beaver Mountain Resort is an all-around great ski and snowboard destination, a little off the beaten track but close to Logan and its restaurants and lodgings.

Poker Secrets - An Excellent Way To Understand The Game Of Poker
Railbirding: Make sure you check out these higher stakes cash gaming online. You can watch top pros demonstrate how they play cash game. You can see the showdowns, and you can take down some of the hands. You can record the screen so that you can watch the hands over again if you want. This is an amazing way to learn and watch the best players perform their best. Also make sure you tune into the Pokerstars replay of the Sunday Million Final Table every week. These guys have beaten thousands in the biggest weekly event for big money and they have some great tips about tournament play. Play at the right level. If you are just beginning poker, it is a good idea to play at low stakes. Once you have confidence that your poker game is solid, you can start to move to higher stakes. Many poker players think that low stakes are too risky and don't offer enough reward for winning. Use these staked games to practise, build your bankroll and perfect your game. 2006 World Series was the year of the introduction of the internet kids to the live scene. Scott Clements (Brandon Cantu), William Chen and Eric Froehlich all adopted the moniker 'fearsome player online' and made it into a bracelet-winning professional'. Still confused? Don't worry if you are still struggling to grasp the game. You can start learning the basics of poker gaming and practicing Pai Gow's double hand drawing method. Discipline. Desire. And Control. I have the will and discipline to manage my own time and make sure that my family has a well-rounded experience. You should always consider your bankroll before you decide to sit in a game. Now, you will find different people will suggest different ways to look at this, so you need to find what suits you. I do not believe you should buy in to a live game with less 100 BB (big-blinds). Some people are more comfortable with 50BB while others prefer more. visit here -in should not be more than 10% of your bankroll. If you are playing on-line, you can find some really low limit games. This buy-in limit should be lowered even more, according to me. Erick Lindgren was last year's WSOP player of the year. He final tabled three events and chose the hardest to earn his first bracelet. winning poker game To win the $5,000 Mixed Hold'em title, he had to dodge around Justin Bonomo and Andrew Robl, Roland de Wolfe and David 'Chino' Rheem. He also had to dodge around Pat Pezzin, David Williams, Howard Lederer, Isaac Haxton, David Williams, David Williams, Pat Pezzin, David Williams, David Williams, David Williams, David Williams, David Williams, Pat Pezzin, and David Williams. Easy. Don't pay to see cards if you don't have to. If you have low cards or a pair of high cards, pay as little as possible to see the flop. Protect your hand if you have high hands or a pair before the flip by raising. Don't attempt to steal blinds in the beginning stages of a tourney. When the blinds are low, it doesn't make much sense to place large bets in order to take advantage of low antes. This tactic should be reserved for later. Be smart early if winning poker tournaments is your goal. If you have a hand, bet and raise. If the flop gives you nothing, check and fold. Wait for the right cards and strike your opponents when you have the right hand.
